We went here for Valentine s Day and really enjoyed the food especially the dessert, which was amazing! The atmosphere was nice too, but honestly, our server wasn t great. They didn t seem very friendly and had a bit of an attitude, which was a bit of a downer. Overall, the food and vibe were great, but the service could definitely use some work.

We went for my husband s birthday, the service was exceptional. The food was amazing and one can definitely taste the fresh produce used in the food. Will definitely be going back and would recommend it to everyone.

Food and dining experience was better than some Michelin starred restaurants Ive been to. What a gem of a spot!

All the food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, our team really loved the palet cleanser, duck confit, steak and gnocci! The service was truly exceptional at this venue! The staff at Terra went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their attentiveness and assistance pre-event and throughout the evening was truly appreciated. We would definitely recommend Terra for a memorable dining experience, and will be back in near future!

Terra used to be a go-to for us. The food was good and the service used to be great. However, our recent experience was disheartening. Despite explicitly stating on my reservation that I have a service dog, we were denied entry. This blatant disregard for the Ontario Human Rights Code is unacceptable. Its a shame that a once-beloved restaurant would choose to discriminate against individuals with disabilities. I urge others to reconsider dining at Terra until they demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and respect for all patrons.

The wife and I had a wonderful evening at Terra! We sat in the bar area and our server/bartender whose name was Gulian (made sure we knew it was with a G and not a J!) was fantastic! Where do I begin!? I never knew that a regular dirty martini could taste so good! PSA, always ask for ice chips when you order!! He also made the lady this custom pomegranate lychee tequila cocktail and she loved it! I gave our server the task of ordering everything for us, as he would for himself. He recommended 3 courses and so we did! Caesar salad and beef carpaccio to start, and both were some of the best I ve had! We split the pea soup with smoked bacon for the middle course and I m not normally a soup guy but this was different! Moving onto our mains, the wife got the roasted chicken and the gnocchi for myself. OMG. It was a tough sell on the gnocchi as I m used to the traditional style of the dish, but Gulian convinced me and I was blown away!!! The wife loved her roasted chicken as well, great portions! When it was time for dessert, our server told us we had to have the pineapple cake..so we did and again WOW!! I highly recommend Terra. We completely forgot we were in thornhill the whole evening as this kind of service and quality is unheard of north of Steeles. Thank you Gulian for all the laughs and the exceptional evening and thank you to all staff in the kitchen who prepared our incredible meals!!!

This place is for the rich and famous, and maybe for the few who want to be and can afford it. Between the $25 shots and $50 steak medallion, that they call filet mignon, the quality is high, but you have to be to want to spend that kind of money, in my humble opinion. Yeah, I gave them 5 stars on everything, but be warned, it comes at a price. I understand that there are people out there that have more money than brains, and/or people who want their shoes licked and their bottoms wiped after they go to the washroom, even if it was just to blow their nose. I am not one of those people. Until Google Review has a rating for worth, Terra gets all the stars it can handle. (Even if you just sit at the bar) But I won t be back, even if I won the lottery. Too pretentious for my blood.

Their food wasnt cooked well and their services were late to and for example we wanted a onion but because they were so late our food got cold.

The food was good. Service was great. I felt the restaurant had too many tables set up and too closed to each other for my liking. Expect to pay premium price.

From the outside it doesnt look much, but inside its a great place, service is phenomenal and food is great. Even though this is an Italian place, there are not many pastas, instead this place is focused on sea food and meat and its great. If you are looking for a great seafood place - this is one of them.

We often go to Terra to celebrate special occasions, and sometimes just because. We usually always have an amazing experience. Our last experience was a little less than ideal. It was my sons birthday. Our bill was well over 400 for 3 of us. Fine- expected here- but they charged $18 for his small piece of Birthday cheesecake that was offered. For that price spent with 3 people and being regular guests, thats something that should have been offered on behalf of the restaurant for a teens birthday.. Between that and the lack of attention our table recieved (waited a long time for water, brought bread without butter , then brought butter but no knife to spread, etc- there were several small things that have never happened before. Anyhow, its a fantastic establishment, just not pleased with our last visit there.

Real fine dining!!

I give 2 stars to the food because the gnocchi are cooked like pasta, boiled in water until they rise to the surface of the pan and then sautéed with sauce. In reality they sautéed them in the sauce to cook them. A horrible thing they looked like french fries. For the rest excellent.

I tried Terra for the first time at the Yellow Brick House 2024 Gala. They were serving gnocchi and I thought it was so good. All of my friends enjoyed it too. I cant wait to go back to the restaurant and try more!

Lets begin with the outstanding food, everything was made to perfection. Shamils service was incredible, he was attentive but not intrusive and made us feel like VIPs throughout the night.

The tables were beautifully set and the owner and special events team were extremely helpful in planning my event, which made it easy and stress-free. I would have photos if I didn t eat the food so fast! This is an amazing place for celebrations or a gift outing. The service is impeccable, the staff is incredibly attentive and kind. The experience of dining at Terra Restaurant was amazing and sumptuous. We have ordered the Scallop/Prawn/Crab Dumplings as appetizer, and also shared the other dishes, such as Seafood Spaghettini, Veal Chop, and Crispy Portobello. The size of each dish was pretty generous. Huge applause to our server, Luke, who has been very friendly and attentive from the start to the end of our memorable dinner. Will come back again for sure!

Although the food was amazing it took almost an hour and a half to bring the appetizers to the table. My guests were frustrated and disappointed. I won t be coming back there soon.

We had an amazing time at Terra. We were coming for our anniversary and the staff and food were both extraordinary. Right upon entering we felt welcomed by the staff. Our server was kind and attentive. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and gave great recommendations for both food and wine. As appetizers we had the Caesar Salad and Burrata, and Steak and Gnocchi as main. Everything was absolutely delicious and well balance. The gnocchi was soft and creamy. The steak was juicy and perfectly cooked. The portion were also generous. 100% would recommend. We ll definitely be going back to try their desert!

Amazing atmosphere! Great staff and excellent food.

Arrived here on New Years with my wife and friends, and it was my first time. The parking situation caught me off guard, but we managed to find a spot, so it was more surprising than anything. As for the food, this place serves some of the best chicken tenders and fries Ive ever tasted. The fries were thin and crispy, and the tenders were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Also be sure to get the Cesar salad. I couldn t recommend that pairing enough. For the dessert I believe we had the stickie toffee cake which was moist and very flavourful. Our server was also very accommodating, ensuring our night was memorable. However, the atmosphere left something to be desired for me it felt a bit basic. That said, theres nothing inherently wrong with that; it just didnt leave a lasting impression.

The food , service, and atmosphere at this place was top tier exceptional! My friend and I dined here and were thoroughly impressed. Dinner and dessert were made to perfection , the ambience was very classy. Service came to check on us at the right times , we were even given pallet cleansers in between appetizers and meals. They took our jackets when we entered and when were set to leave, they were heated up so we felt warm and confortable upon our exit ! Can t wait to come back !

I have been to most of the fancy and high end restaurants in the city, and in my opinion the quality of the food and service you get at this restaurant for the money definitely is not there. I was on a date on Valentine s day and when deciding on a wine bottle, the server asked me what s your budget? I appreciate them trying to help, but that s not a very nice question to ask. Me and my date found this question awkward. I wouldn t go back. For a bill close to $1000 I expect better trained staff, and better tasting food.

Where they shine is their service: our server, Nico, was exceptional and the lime sorbet palate cleanser is a nice touch. Pineapple upside down cake was delicious. I would say that their prices are a little higher than they should be - but their service is above and beyond most restaurants, so perhaps that is what you are paying for.

Enjoyed dinner here. It s so convenient to me and the service was amazing. The food was delicious. Although the main dish (mine was a sea bass) served late but it was so delicious that I d still give a 5 star! Good things are worth the wait sometimes :)

Its not just about food, its about experience. Cocktails are amazing, really. I suggest you go for the drinks, and have food as a side dish.

We had an amazing time at Terra celebrating a birthday. Andrew was our server and he really made the night so great. Andrew provided swift service and even made some great food suggestions for us. The food was fantastic as well. We will definitely be coming back!

Hands down the best gnocchi I ve ever had. I could eat that all day. Must be the sauce! We both liked the lamb and the crust on it was delectable. My only slight complaint was the wait to receive our mains but we came there on a Saturday night so I m sure weeknight service is much breezier.

There s a few things I do like about this restaurant I used to come here all the time before and then didn t come here for about two years decided to take my mother-in-law and I told my waiter that I was vegan and to make me a pasta dish with no cheese long story short my pasta came out with cheese on top,

Expensive prices for average taste, even the sauce costs extra? The steak is bland too. Service is good, but apart from the appetizer scallops, the rest is mediocre. Even the bread and butter are very ordinary and cheap.

Food are fabulous. So is the service and atmosphere. The octopus was really tender. Overall it s blown mind. The petal of the roses were decorated in a pleasantly way.

Went her for lunch and I truly loved the food, we ordered the Bolognese and the Gnocchi and the truffle fries. I love the short string cuts of the fries and the pasta dishes. I will surely return.

Food was good...service was not...not what I have experienced in the past with Terra my go to in Richmond Hill/Thornhill..having been a client many times in the past....first off we were seated without anyone taking our coats at the front door and we were met with a poor attitude when we asked if they would take our coats at the table....really..,.....service was not at all what I one would expect from a high end restaurant. The bread was served less olive oil and balsamic and very small portions for a table if 4...think cracker size x 4...and requests for extra were met with an insulting attitude...so much so the waiter made a point of bringing it up more than once afterwards...not at all what I would expect for a $600 plus meal for 4 ....portions are very small especially appetizers at $35-50 to $50 each and given the terrible service and lousy attitude you can do better. Menu has been narrowed significantly from what it used to be and unless you want a $150 plus steak dinner this isnt the spot. Richmond Hill needs better high end options. Very disappointed to say the least.

It was my very first time eating at terra s restaurant last night. My food was so good and I can t wait to come back to eat there again.

Last time visit Terra was a few years ago, always love their service, atmosphere & food, so was dinner there last night with old time friends. Cozy table was reserved, tables were closely arranged to my taste, but Saturday night reservations must full. Arrived @6, started with prosecco, rose for the lady, dozen of oysters, seafood platter to kick off a great dinner. Lobster, king crab, scallops, prawns & calamari were all succulent & tasty, oysters were perfectly picked, then came big Tbone medium rare to share, malbec pairs nicely with the steak, charcoaled, juicy & tender, heaven! Gelato for the lady & coffee wrapped up the night in laughters! I must compliment the smiles & attentive services, good place for dates!

I have been to Terra a few several times and they always deliver! The food is delicious on every occasion. Dennis, our server during a couple of visits is always kind, funny and great overall. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was delish and server was very nice! Had a bunch of shareables and enjoyed the steak. The service was slow this night, took about an hour and 1/2 to get main but I d give them another chance :)

Once again, Terra really brought it. We had a business dinner here like we do every year and everything was excellent. The service from the very first minute was on point, consistent and attentive without being over bearing. The food was fantastic. I finally had the pistachio crusted lamb chops, and they were phenomenal. Tender, juicy, red wine sauce and they were so flavorful. Brian, our server was exactly what you would expect and want when spending this kind of money on dinner. He was the consummate professional. Fantastic. The wine list is extensive although I was surprised at how expensive California wines were. We had a Zinfandel from Ridge winery and it was very expensive. 4x retail price in the States!? Even so it was delicious and capped off a great night. All in all, Terra is a classic restaurant with fantastic service and wonderful food. It s outside of downtown but that doesn t matter, the place always delivers.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Even after all these years they remain consistent with quality dishes & amazing service! All of their food is truly AMAZING. There is not one dish we ordered that we didn t love. If you haven t been to this local Thornhill spot you MUST!

It is a fine cozy dining place, tables are very close to each other. It is annoying when some speak too loud! Food is Great, servers very polite and professional! Management needs to check and make sure everything is in order before opening for service! I was shocked when my wife told me that there was no any amenities whatsoever in ladies washroom (no toiletries, no soap, absolutely nothing) and even no door lock!! When I mentioned to the server, I was told it was under renovation and there is sign to use mens. There was no Sign! Even if a lady uses mens washroom, No door lock!

I liked the atmosphere. The staff were very courteous. The food was great. I had the Gnocchi, it was fantastic. The fries was also awesome. And they had a little birthday surprise for my girlfriend.

We went to restaurant twice and I m Impressed with hospitality and appetisers drinks and appetizers, even though it was amazing, but for dinner I don t like the food Unfortunately only one pic of carpaccio

Its no guarantee that you will have a nice,pleasant experience. The tables are very close to each other .its impossible to have a conversation ...its so loud. Sometimes, there are too many kids, and they are screaming and crying, and you are paying for an expensive dinner, which you can not even enjoy. The menu is getting smaller and smaller, and even though the food is good but choices are limited. If its a date or romantic dinner, I would NOT,ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend.

The food is good. Service is not the best. Server s service is roughly ok ish, not the warmest or coldest service I ever experienced. It took extremely long for the food to finally showed up. My kids ended up fed themselves up with the free bread before the mains came. It was about a bit more than half an hour wait between appetizers and main. Not sure if it s the norm for this restaurant. And it s about 50 bucks for a pasta dish. It s not a neighbourhood restaurant I expected for families. But it s not bad that you don t have to drive down for high quality food. It was a mixed experience. Hope that this restaurant can improve its service and for wait time!

Having lived 700,800 hours, it was an auspicious occasion and a surprise to be invited to Terra Restaurant on what I thought was a business meeting with an investor. I have had some memorable feasts for all different events, but today was special. I had received a text that the investor would be 15 minutes late, and I settled into enjoying the decor. Out of nowhere, my family appeared, and the festivity began from our beginnings, with numerous laughs and memories of the moments we cherished being together. Now, I have 299,200 hours left to finish rebuilding the house into a fourplex with a winter retreat in Belize, writing 9 books and creating an adventure spy Netflix series traveling to 108 countries Like always the serve was impeccable

I think Terra is awesome especially dishes like foie gras which is probably the best in the city. Some dishes were straight up bad, but some were excellent.

I m surprised this place is not rated higher! The owner told us upfront that service would be a little slower this night but I honestly didn t think it was bad at all. I do appreciate the heads up tho, I think it s professional and courteous. We got the grilled octopus appetizer, I m typically not a grilled octopus person but this was amazing! Palette cleanser, delicious. Gnocchi no words. Just amazing! And to add, we sat on the beautiful patio where they grow their own produce wow

One of the finer steak houses in North Toronto. This was a business presentation by Ninepoint. I had the steak, my husband has duck confit; both were divine. Very aware of Celiac and cross contamination with gluten. Food : 5/5

The food was excellent but the service needs more refining. It wasnt bad or anything, but I would expect more from a restaurant of this caliber. We had reservations and when we arrived, our table wasnt ready and we were invited to have a drink at the bar. We waited for some time for the bartender to finally come, when they did, we asked for a cocktail menu, she came back a few minutes later with one (youd think it should be handy right there), and the menu didnt even have cocktails on it. Our table was ready anyway so we couldnt even get a drink. Once we were seated it was a wait until our server came as well. Once we ordered drinks, the bar was again slow and we waited easily 15min or so until our drinks finally came. We had grilled wild boar appetizer special which was delicious. For our entrees we ordered the Artic char and the ribeye, both delicious and cooked to perfection. However, our server didnt check on us after bringing the food for some time. When he finally did, we asked for some ketchup for our fries and finishing/flaky salt for our steak. By the time we finally got those items, our meal was cold. Again, these are small details but collectively it does affect how enjoyable the overall experience was. We really enjoyed our food, but at the price point and the overall service, Im not sure if wed return?

Attended a friends birthday in the restaurant. Everything was done the right way. Service was excellent! Food was even better. The chorizo came in the cheese wheel, it was so yummy! The lamb was amazing. Overall had a blast! Will definitely come back by myself or with family or friends!

When I saw the Ferrari getting parked by a valet in front, I assumed I walked into an episode of Billions. When you enter, you will need to be prepared to shell out your hard earned cash as it is not simply the food, but its the entire dining experience. You will be waited every few minutes up to the point where you want to shoo them away. But that is the point. You have separate staff to bring you a metal tray of complementary bread. We ordered a 13 ounce strip and Arctic Char for $65 and $47, respectively. Heaven fobid, they add a carb,you must pay $15 each for mushrooms and truffle fries. Everything is delicious. For dessert, you get a lovely complimentary snack tray with cashew and apricot. We also had a lovely french press coffee and shared a pudding cask where they pour the warm topping. 100% do not eat anything the day of coming! Overall, put on a nice jacket guys, you will get points for a lovely date/anniversary must try. Altogether with tax and tip $315. Keep in mind they stick around and stare at your fingures with the machine. We know we tip on top of tax, which is a gutsy but respected maneuver. -Zuk

We attended a dinner event hosted at Terra. It was a very nice experience. Great restaurant nice ambience. The food was really delicious. We had pasta, antipasto, and mains. For the antipasto since we dont eat pork they brought us a halal option with lots of tasty things that was very delicious. Shrimp, fresh cheese, and a few other things. Among them was the best octopus Ive ever had. It was really perfect. The texture the flavour the cook level were all outstanding. The pasta was good. Nothing really to phone home about but it was nice and tasty. For the main they told me the beef wasnt halal but the chicken was and they offered halal lamb chops as well. The lamb was perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. They may have been overwhelmed with the parties though. The wait staff were all lovely but we never got a few things we asked for and our kids never got their ice cream dessert after 2 reminders. Overall really great experience though. I cant wait to go back and order the octopus.

Luke was our server, he s absolutely amazing and truly did everything he could to make sure we had the best experience! The food is excellent everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we have had in a while. Highly recommend!

Worst experience of my life

Always check your bill for correct amount!!! Yesterday I dined at Terra and while the food and service were commendable, and manager found me a place without me making reservations I unfortunately had an unsettling experience with one of the waitstaff. It pains me to write a negative review for a place that I like so much and offers delicious dishes and attentive service, but honesty is crucial in the restaurant industry! I must address an incident involving one particular waiter. Upon receiving the bill, I noticed a significant discrepancy between the prices listed and what I had actually ordered. It became apparent that the waiter was attempting to double the bill, hoping I wouldnt notice. When I asked my waiter what was the reason that each plate that I ordered written two times on my bill, he answered without even looking on my bill that he made mistake and just brought me another bill. This deceitful behavior left a sour taste in my mouth, overshadowing an otherwise pleasant evening. As a customer, I value transparency and integrity in any establishment. To encounter such a blatant attempt to overcharge me was disheartening and completely unacceptable. It left me questioning the credibility and ethics of the restaurant as a whole. I strongly urge the management of Terra restaurant to address this issue promptly and ensure that all staff members uphold the highest standards of honesty and fairness. It is essential to maintain trust between customers and the establishment, as no amount of delicious food can compensate for such dishonesty. I hope that by sharing this review, the management takes appropriate steps to rectify this situation and prevents it from happening again in the future.

The caesar salad and lamb were awesome. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Attended a friends birthday in the restaurant. We had a great time. Terra - is a beautiful place with nice atmosphere, delicious food and amazing customer service. Presentation and service from our waiter Dmitriy was top notch! He was attentive and had us laughing.

Overprice in my opinion. We went to Terra before and knew their price was in the high end but had very good services. This time the services went downhill in terms of attentiveness and professionalism. We waited at least 10 minutes to get the bill with a credit card on top of the bill holder. The wait staff took away our appetizer despite a few grape tomatoes were still on the plate. I prefer he asked us before just took it away. The Wednesday special Lobster Carbonara was $42, the Grilled Octopus was $28 and dessert is $18 each. I cant remember how much was the Burata and I can count the half grape tomatoes placed on it. I wouldnt recommend Terra to my friends based on this experience and I have no plan to return any time soon.

Our server Luke was nice, professional, polite, kind and friendly. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a lovely dinner in a wonderful environment.

Had our anniversary dinner here, we were referred by a friend. Loved the ambiance. Our server, Dima, was friendly and took the time to explain some of the menu items to us and give us some good recommendations. All of the food we chose ended up being cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed the whole experience and plan on going back again soon.

Not that Terra needs another 5 star-review - I have never been disappointed with their food, service or the atmosphere. My consistent favourite is the gnocchi. I wish I had taken photos, but when I get them I am just too busy digging into them and eating them.....

We were guests for a work holiday dinner party and had a pleasant experience! The valet parking was an added bonus!

We had a private event on Dec 9th and I must say best food and service recvd by the waiting staff. I recommend this restaurant to ALL!!!!! Kudos to the Calabrese waiter & Angelo or Anthony for their specialized service.

Never again. Both me and my boyfriend ate here on Friday and got the 14 oz ribeye and ended up with the worst food poisoning. Never in my life have I been sick from eating steak. Save your money and go to a better restaurant with better quality meats the cut was pure fat for the most part anyways. Do better your customers shouldn t be throwing up their entire dinner they paid too much for to begin with. Black and blue over this any day. So disappointing

i ate here for the first time on friday night and it will be the last time, i had the ribeye steak and potatoes and was throwing up 3am saturday to sunday morning with stomach pains

Attended a work event at this restaurant. Food and service were both excellent. We ordered the beef capriccio, baked oyster, and the 8oz beef filet and other dishes. Everything was well seasoned and tasty! Definitely worth checking out! The wait staff were very attentive, especially Deema and Dennis! They were engaging and had us laughing throughout the night. We all had a great experience at this restaurant and extra thanks to D&D! Spasibo!

We have been to Terra before for their quality food and warm atmosphere, but this time was exceptional, all thanks to our server Andrew. Friendly, personable, funny, attentive and always professional. He made our dinner out with friends an amazing all-in dining experience.
