Ive come to Ferrovia for many years and Im always pleased with what I get and the personal service they provide .

The food was decent, but not the best. The pizza was a bit dense, and what should have been mozzarella felt like a mixed cheese blend. The service was excellent though.

We received the most amazing service from Kevin and his merry crew! We had a birthday party of almost 40 people and we have been welcomed and accommodated beyond our expectations.

Great night at Ferrovia! Food, service and atmosphere everything was just fantastic. Attentive and knowledgeable service, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cocktails were the cherry on top.

I ve come here several times and it is a gem. It is cosy and always packed for dinner, but the noise level lets you have your own conversation.

Service was immaculate. It was 8pm on a Friday night and busy. No reservation. Food was absolutely amazing. Was visiting the area for an event and will definitely be back when in the area again.

We made the reservation of 15 ppl for special gathering dinner at 6pm. The waitress start taking orders at 6:18pm and said there is the time limit until 7:30pm only due to the next reservation. They did not tell us when we make reservation, we will book other place if we knew prior. And they rushed everything to serve and trying to take dishes even we did not finish. We end up had to leave without the dessert and coffee. It is unreasonable and made the worst experience for all of our gathering. When you make the reservation, please ask them if you have time limit.

Everything is great. Servers are great. But the rib meat is a bit tough. And the source is a regular bbq taste which i dont really like. Sea food pasta is not too bad. But not excellent either. Food

Weve been coming here for years, the lamb is exquisite and the fried gnocchi is a delight. Definitely one of the best high-end Italian restaurants in Toronto.

This neighbourhood restaurant is the best little gem in town! Every menu item and daily specials are fresh, hot, flavourful and delicious. Not to mention the generous portions and reasonable prices (particularly at a time where most businesses are cutting back and raising prices.) took my friend here for lunch for her birthday. We both enjoyed a glass of wine.. She had the special which was Salmon with baby potatoes and green beans, which she really enjoyed. Delicious 3 course meal - Black Jumbo Tiger Prawns, Half Rack of Lamb / Short Ribs ravioli and Tiramisu / Warm Banana Bread Pudding.

It was our first time here and it was our Anniversary. The food was excellent. We started off with bread and hummus, a bit odd for an Italian restaurant but it was great. The wife had Ravioli filled with braised beef in a mushroom sauce. I had an 8oz flat iron stake with sweet potato purrey. We ended off sharing desert. I had one drink and we also shared a salad. All came to $111 and change including tax. For two, I think that is reasonable.

Celebrated my birthday there with few of my friends. Services and food were remarkable. Our go-to place.

We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday. A bit of a hiccup on the reservation but that was sorted out quickly (Thank you John!). Ryan was our server and he took a great care of us. The food was amazing and had a wow moment. This is one place that we will be visiting often.

This restaurant used to be our favourite Italian restaurant and it was less than 200m away from our house. We went there for my bday dinner in 2022, the mid age male server ignored our request for water a couple times and pretended he didn t see us for many times (we were there around 5pm-6pm on a Wednesday so it wasn t even busy, AT ALL). He was only there and watched us closely when we paid and enter the tips. We never went back to that restaurant for 2 years and now thinking back, I wish I gave him 5% tips only and told him that your service only worths this much to his face. But nvm we ll never be back anyway.

Hands down, Ferrovia Ristorante serves the best pizza in town. What sets them apart is their commitment to quality and their use of organic ingredients. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help you choose from their extensive menu. The ambiance is cozy, making it ideal for a romantic date or a family outing. Definitely worth a visit!

It is great to have such a nice restaurant in the neighbourhood. We love the food, a good option. Not a fan of the deserts,though. As an example Tiramisu is not like Italian tiramisu, and too heavy compared to the original one. I couldnt eat that one and appreciated if they could have deducted that from the bill as any Italian restaurant would do. However, our lovely waitress argued it is an all time big seller, so I did not insist. But, after so many visits to Italy, I know my tiramisu, which is a light desert and does not include any heaviness of the heavy whipping cream.

Excellent Italian cuisine. Perfect for a quiet upscale dinner. The braised short rib is supremely delicious, but you wont go wrong with the pizzas, pastas, and veal marsala.

Came here to try another Italian place. Overall it s a good experience with good portion, quality dishes and good service. The seating can be a bit cramped given it s a smaller restaurant. But service is good! The food is also 8/10. Overall would come back again when craving for Italian food and near the neighbourhood. Highly recommend calling to make a reservation for weekends.

We ordered the seafood linguini and funghi pappardelle. The sauce of the seafood linguini was a bit too watery so it was having trouble sticking to the bites of the pasta but the flavor was good. I would recommend the pappardelle, it was cooked perfectly. The portions are pretty big so we were too full to try desserts. The restaurant has a very nice cozy vibe. It was the perfect place to meet up with friends to catch up. I wouldn t recommend going in groups larger than 4-6.

We had a great dinner here last weekend and are planning to dine here for NYE. The appetizers were on point as were all our mains. The server Christna was professional and attentive and Kevin topped off our night with complimentary espresso martini shots. Nice small restaurant in area where there are not many similar offerings or even other restaurants. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection and variety in the menu and our party of 8 tried several items. Prices are quite reasonable but the portion sizes are a bit smaller than some other restaurants which may account for the pricing. All the dishes we tried were good to very good. Its certainly in my list of preferred Italian restaurants

First time coming here for lunch. We did make reservations, but theyre not so busy at the time. It was nice, cozy, and a good ambiance. Our server is very nice and very patient, We ordered baby kale salad with chicken, vinegarette Cesar salad, and rigatoni sauage. Portion is decent, and we missed having dessert because we are too full. On our next visit, we will make sure to leave some room for the dessert. In the end, we are so preoccupied and missed taking pictures of our food order. However, we got a glimpse of the place itself, and thats what i have it posted. I cant wait to go back

Life changing!

The food is delicious! We had beef short ribs and also roasted half rack of lamb. Both very tender and juicy. Tiramisu desert was as good as the one I had in Italy!! The staff is super nice. Our hostess was Elvina and she was very friendly. 100% recommended

Celebrated my birthday and had a great time at ferrovia. Food was tasty! all the staff catered to our needs and we truly felt taken care of. Elvina, Lola, James and Jaimie went above and beyond will be coming back here for many more occasions.

Our waiter was very nice but clearly a bit flustered due to the 90% capacity it was for Valentines day weekend on February 12th. Slow on providing water and forgot about small things but overall experience was good! We had the short ribs, mixed mushroom risotto, lamb rack and seafood Linguine. Every dish was better than places I have been to before, the Linguines tomato Sause and seafood flavor was really pleasant as it tasted straight from Italy. The risotto was the most standard dish a cream of mushroom with mushy firm rice. Ribs were fall off the bone but had a bit too little salt which caused to be a bit bland and the ribs were a perfect medium which we ordered. The sidedish that came with the lamb was very interested a savory version of tteokbokki! We had to pay an extra $2 per person for bringing a cake but worth it because of the plating and cream/powder they added to each plate. Parking: Parking was spacious since there is a specialty supermarket next to the place

Valentine s Day dinner was absolutely perfect

Good Italian dishes at reasonable prices. On a cold day do not sit at the front window table because its almost like sitting in an outside patio. The rest of the tables in the restaurant do not the the cold problem.

Visited on St. Valentines Day on a friends recommendation. The restaurant is not huge and was pretty full. They didnt have an a la carte menu but a three course meal instead for the occasion. The choices were good and we tried different things to get the taste of as many dishes as possible. I really liked the warm mushroom salad, the seafood linguini, the creme brule and the bread pudding! The tomato soup was ok and so was the red snapper with mango salsa. The fish was a bit on the overdone side which took away from the taste. Prices were around $70 before tax per meal per person, the wine list was ok with prices averaging about $12 per glass.

Went as soon as they opened for dinner service and had the place all to ourselves, it was lovely. Interior decor was tasteful and clean. We really liked the music and overall vibe. Christina our server was awesome and most importantly the food (we got the daily specials) was out of this world and the cocktails amazing! Cant wait to come back.

Great experience! The owner Kevin was such an amazing guy! So hospitable, attentive, and on point! Such a great atmosphere to be in! Food was amazing- top of the line! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian spot! 10/10! Would definitely come back!! I didn t get the name of our waitress but she was an older lady. She was great as well! Very polite and organized! The night definitely went by smoothly with our party of 22! Great service!

I had the veal chop medium rare and it was seasoned / cooked to perfection. The meat was very tender and each dish from our table had excellent presentation. Visited recently based on a positive review by a family friend. While there was a mixup in the reservation, staff were very kind in accommodating for us. Their menu has a mix of Italian entrées such as pastas, pizzas and traditional Italian dishes. They also offer daily specials which include seafood and steak. The most popular dish was the herb crusted rack of lamb, which was very flavourful and filling on its own without an appetizer. The special was a snow crab and half lobster tail risotto which was good but was a bit pricey given the amount of seafood provided. The Molten Lava Chocolate Cake was served warm with gelato on top. The dessert was shareable as a light dessert. Overall had a decent experience during our visit. Recommended to try their entrées or their daily special dishes. The restaurant is very popular in the neighborhood and reservations are recommended.

Checked out this little gem with my buddy based on Google Reviews and I wish Id discovered this place sooner. Servers had a genuine smile on their faces. Two of us ordered grilled calamari, fungi pizza, seafood linguine, lamb shank, and two alcoholic drinks. Everything was done right, and food was served in a timely manner. I particularly enjoyed the ambiance it offered because of the size of the restaurant. The place was busy but not noisy and I didnt have to raise my voice. Will bring wife here

Been meaning to come here for some time and finally got the chance to see what the hype is all about. The parpardelle was incredible, tiger shrimps were excellent (sorry my son started eating so the picture is missing a couple), dessert were delicious. The only complaint was the risotto. Technique was there because the grains were perfectly cooked. However, all we could taste was salt. Service was warm and friendly. We will definitely come back and probably avoid the risotto next time.

Perfect experience and great food.

The food was okay but the waitress was awful. When I was in the middle of ordering food and wine, she walked to other table all of the sudden to take their orders. I was shocked by her behavior. So weird and so rude. She even forgot to bring us wine while we were having meal and when I asked her to bring us wine, she just simply said OMG, I forgot. No algology offered. Very unpleasant experience.

Space can be improved. i got pumped two times on my back from the table behind me. wine menu: lack of selection also can be improved but the Pinot Grigio we had was excellent with reasonable pricing. food: we skipped the signature dishes - pappardelle and the pizza this time coz we always have them. selection are wide and they maintain the quality with consistence. mushroom salad and mussels are must try as appetizer. main- braised beef ribs also their signature ( used to beef parpardelle) tasty and tender. lamb shank is a bit gamely but tender not over cooked. a bit more rosemary will be better in my opinion. both dishes can added more roasted veggie in stead of mashed. pasta always good here. the bolognese is average but good amount of beef chunks. carpaccio and the hummus are average; extra olive oil and seasoning would bring the favor out. dessert: never have rooms to try: but will try next time and will add comments 4.5 rating a place i choose to go for gathering and or dating. one of my favorite italian style eats in uptown toronto.

When it comes to food and service, Ferrovia never fails to disappoint. I have had some of the best Italian meals of my life at Ferrovia. Both the meal and the service are excellent. I ordered the Funghi Pappardelle Pasta, Chicken Piccata and Funghi Pizza. Everything tasted perfect!

I would highly recommend this restaurant! Seldom does a 7 person party come and all leave with the thought that I had the best dish but that was exactly what happened. There was no bad choice, with selection, atmosphere, and service being top notch! The special of crab stuffed calamari was sublime and the risotto might have been the best I ve had to date. Price may be a barrier to some, but for special occasions or if you have the dime, this is an excellent choice!

Great food, great service, very reasonable price.

We went there to have dinner for a special occasion. Their menu had variety. The atmosphere was packed but the mood was nice. We ordered shank and pasta which came out well, though menu items are pricey now. If its a busy night, make sure to have the servers attention as you may take more time than usual, but other than that they were still friendly.

What an outstanding experience. We went to celebrate my sons birthday. The service and food were exceptional! I had a mushroom pasta dish which was creamy and delicious. My son had the short ribs which were tasty and melted in your mouth. My husband had the veal marsala which was so tender and amazing. It doesnt matter what you order, all the food is carefully prepared and outstanding! Severs are friendly and attentive. Kevin deserves special mention as being in charge and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Highly recommended!

Amazing dinner experience!

Came here after searching for the best rated Italian restaurant nearby for a celebration occasion and glad I stumbled upon Ferrovia. The ambience and atmosphere were pleasant and the service was excellent. I ordered our entrees based on recommendations from reviews. Bruschetta appetizer was good but would probably order something a little more exciting next time. The pappardelle was yummy!! It was creamy and the pasta was al dente. The mushrooms were savoury which added to the sauce. The beef short rib was also a great entree. Super tender. The mashed potato could have been a bit more seasoned but I thought it might be because the main can add saltiness to the potatoes. Overall a very satisfying meal and will return for sure!

Wonderful - a friend and I always have the mussels which are divine. I sent a recent review which was of an adjacent restaurant- but unflattering. Please accept my apologies. We love Ferrovia.

Excellent Italian restaurant in Thornhill with a cozy dining room. We tried the bruschetta, short rib ravioli, lamb shank, and pistachio tartufo. The bruschetta baguette was hot and crusty, a perfect vehicle for the tomatoes on top that was well dressed. The short rib ravioli was quite good with a nice amount of chopped short rib. The sauce was a bit heavy and wouldve liked something bright to cut through the cream. Also, the ravioli filling was a bit dry. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender with a great jus, creamy mash and fresh green beans. The tartufo had aromatic pistachio flavours. Service was friendly. Highly recommend making reservations.

Ferrovia was as good as it was when I first had it many years back. The service was great, chef was enthusiastic, Ive enjoyed our time with guest. Thanks again for hosting us.

Very delicious Italian food

Excellent food and service

Our friend who frequents Ferrovia invited us here as it s one of her favourite restaurants and now I definitely see why! I loved the cosy Christmas decor and the overall homey feeling, walking in. We ordered the lamb, lobster risotto, their pizza with prosciutto and spicy honey dripping, and short ribs. The short ribs was so moist and it fell apart so easily, it was one of the stars of the dinner. The risotto was tasty with lobster flavours but the lobster tail given was just a little bit on the small side. The spicy honey dripping on the pizza was to die for! We were introduced to the owner Kevin who provided the utmost hospitality to us. It felt very nice and he treated us like we were his family and friends and solely for that fact (and the delicious food), me and my husband will for sure be returning.

My wife and I have been dining here since we got married 20 years ago. Now, our daughters cant get enough of this cozy restaurant. It is our go-to place for all our mini celebrations. The owners changed years ago, but the quality of food is the same. The food is incredible. The rack of lamb is off the charts (mid-rare). Its not on the drink list , but the old fashioned cocktail is amazing. Most patrons are locals from Thornhill, but its worth the detour if youre not.

There are all the right elements here for a winning restaurant experience: awesome tasting food, the quality of food is great, the server we had was genuine and patient, and we even met the owner. Id like to add that I was very pleasantly surprised by the genuine service Elvina provided my friend and I. This was our first time coming to eat there, and came because of the reviews, so I am writing this to encourage others to enjoy their experience to. I am officially a regular here now, every experience from the second I walk through the door has been amazing. The entire staff have provided the best service and are very professional and accommodating. I always recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends and whenever I have guests from out of town this is where I take them. The funghi pappardelle, funghi pizza, braised beef short ribs, lamb shank are my go to s also I can t forget about that banana bread pudding. But also ask if they have any specials because I ve never been disappointed with any of those dishes. Thank you always for the amazing food and hospitality I can t wait to be back again !!!!!

Exceeded our expectations. I got the lamb shanks and my husband got the braised ribs. The ribs weren t enough for my husband because he devoured it in minutes but was very delicious!!

We really enjoy going to Ferrovia. Its very close to our home, the food is excellent and always hot when it arrives to the table. The prices are reasonable for the quality you get. The service is always good, Elvina was our server on our most recent visit. Its great to support small independent restaurants. Definitely recommended, everything on the menu is great! We particularly like the lamb shank and beef short rib.

Took my sister to this restaurant for her birthday and it exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent! Our server James was very welcoming & attentive. Their daily specials were all delicious, their desserts were fantastic. I will be returning and will highly recommend it to everyone. Had such a good experience. It was the first time that I came to Ferrovia and it definitely wont be the last. The ambiance, the food/menu, the drinks, and the servers were all amazing. Shout out to our server James for providing us with such great service. Also, to the rest of the staff, bartender, and owner for taking such good care of us and being so attentive. I definitely recommend Ferrovia for a date night, girls/boys night, and birthday celebrations. You will not be disappointed!!

Honestly, hands down the best Italian food! The atmosphere with all of the amazing staff and owner has made my experience here an even better one. I believe this will be my fourth time and this time I made a reservation for my cousins birthday. And each time I have left wanting to come back. Our server was James. He definitely took care of our group and made us feel home! Thanks James for your incredible service! We started our dinner with bruschetta & grilled calamari as our appetizers and cocktails! Thanks to the coolest bartender Jamie!! Make sure to try out their specials and their warm banana bread pudding!! I have tried different meals each time and I am always impressed with the consistency of the food. To also Josh who was always available when we needed something at our table and clearing it as we finish our meals. Great staff and food. What more can you ask for? We had a great night for my cousins birthday. We walked in, and the staff was really friendly. James was our server for the night. He was amazing. He took good care of us.
