100 Steeles Ave W, Thornhill, ON L4J 2L1, Canada
Lively Korean BBQ joint with diverse offerings, including a signature spicy chicken with cheese.
Delicious! Their new menus are incredible. I miss 샤브샤브 but it’s so good! Staffs are so nice 👍🏻
Exceptional service! A special shout out to Chris who was a very gracious and attentive host right from beginning to end. My friend and I ordered Korean BBQ - pork and beef - the meat portions were very generous and the many sides were fresh with plenty of refills provided. I definitely recommend this place - highly!
This is one of my top favourites for Korean bbq! The service is fast and friendly, they always come to change the grill without us even having to ask. The meats are all great quality and every side dish is so delicious. I always leave happy. Thank you so much. Definitely has become a regular must for me and my loved ones ♥️
Great Korean BBQ place. The meat is amazing. I would recommend the marinated beef ribs. Their home made kimchi is great. The spicy seafood tofu soup is good but not much seafood. Service is also very good. They even help you BBQ sometimes.
Great food and huge meat portions. This is my first time trying Korean barbeque and I absolutely Loved it. This place has indoor and outdoor seatings and all the tables have both of barbeque and a stove top built-in. We ordered the marinated beef and the chicken with cheese. I’ve grown up in Canada without much experience with Korean food at all and I really enjoyed it. You do have to have some tolerance for spice. It was fun to have the experience of cooking the food at the table and the beef was great quality. We also got a huge platter with the chicken and cheese between my friend and I we had plenty to eat plus tons of leftovers highly recommend.
Second time here with friends and the food never disappoint. Great tasting food with good atmosphere. The servers pass by a lot but they don't check on us as much. Though when we call them, they were very responsive every time. Only thing is the meat amount felt little for the price, but with additional sides we were all very satisfied. Would come here again she's recommend to others!
Food's very tasty, but the portion could he small. The side dishes were good. 👍The male staffs are nice, but if the female staff who take the payment could put on smile on her face would make this experience 5 solid stars.
A place where you can enjoy Korean cuisine with a new style. In the genre of "sot-bap" (pot rice), you can taste dishes where various ingredients harmoniously come together. The abalone pot rice was excellent with its tender abalone and umami flavor when mixed with the abalone innard sauce. The sea bass pot rice had a refreshing twist with lemon zest on top, making it enjoyable both as a light dish on its own or with traditional seasoning sauce.
I had an unpleasant dining experience. I asked the waiter to bring napkins and add tea. I had to ask the waiter 3 or 4 times before they were delivered! In fact, its not that busy. Its because the waiters are lazy and dont want to pay attention to anyone! Adding side dishes is also very stingy. Maybe the business is so good that they dont pay attention to service! There are delicious Korean restaurants everywhere, so you don t need to go to this one in particular!
December 2024: I went there at noon. It was not the original store when I went in, but the waiter insisted that it was the same store, so I ordered a set meal. To be honest, it was not as delicious as the original one, and there were very few varieties, so I was a little disappointed. September 2024: Went for a set meal at noon. It tasted good and the price was right. It was worth going.
The owner was very friendly and all the meat and cold noodles were delicious! This time, I ate the newly developed pot rice and it was so delicious! :)
The abalone pot rice came with internal sauce and I enjoyed it very much. The price was very reasonable, so I think I will be visiting often. I also ordered seasoned crab sauce and it was very delicious. Be sure to order and eat pot rice.
First time at Kobi. Amazing fresh food. Great service. The menu was to us and the staff took the time to explain to us and made great suggestions. We will definitely be back. Kid-friendliness: We asked for some ramen noodles and poured tofu soup on it. My kid loved it and she is a very picky eater.
I don t even know where to begin, the good? most of the marinated meat was flavourful and what appeared to be one of the owners or manager was at least trying. The ugly; took over 40 minutes for food to come out, we had the bbq which is literally raw meat that you cook at your table. Sadly not even the meat came in complete, it took another 30 minutes for a missing plate to get to us. We repeatedly had to asked for sides, food, rice, chopsticks, plates, everything including water because we never got offered any other drinks, guess they weren t interested in upselling. Nothing came in proactively. We ordered an appetizer but never came, by the end of the meal we were then told they didnt have it. After 3 hours nobody came to the table and again we had to beg for the bill. One person, perhaps the manager was apologetic and blamed it on a new system but unfortunately value is not there either, portions of meat were small and frankly with so many good Korean places in the city is hard to justify coming back. Hate to leave this type of reviews but hope it helps them improve because it s badly needed
Wow! New menu! Stellar
Delicious! delicious mas-issneun
It was so delicious and service is so kindly ~ Thank you Food
Amazing food and service!!!! Must try all Sotbobsssss
I was surprised by the deep flavor that was more original than Korean. The abalone pot rice, sauce, sea bass pot rice, and the contents were substantial and delicious. The refreshing bean sprout oyster soup also brings back memories. It was great to eat chewy pot rice and soothe my mouth with scorched rice~~Ill go there again ^_^
God damn, the most tasty Korean resturant in this arena. Way too much better than others, pure & real one. I ordered Beef & pork BBQ only, super good.
I went for lunch Thanksgiving day with my family. Upon walking in, lady server was very unpleasant not did not give any welcoming vibe, instead making a fuzz. Came to the table to take order and still continued giving attitude. She can t understand English properly and made error on our order (lacking). She was visibly whining up and making sigh even in front of us while putting our meal on the table. Reason: we can t think of any as she was giving negative attitude the moment we walked in the restaurant. I asked her straight up, what was her problem and why she was acting like that to us because it was making us including the kids very uncomfortable and happy? She just ignored and kept giving attitude by raising eyebrows and just dropping food on the one just side of the long table. My whole family then right after agreed we want to leave that very moment as she was so rude and she was already ruining our Thanksgiving day celebration. The other male server noticed right away, came, and asked what happened. He did confirmed that it was not the first time customers complained with the lady server s attitude. The male server apologized, asked for us to stay and commit that he will be the one serving us instead of the lady. We gave chance despite the lady server ruined our day. We did not hear any apology from the lady server and she continued to act like her rude attitude was normal for her. Overall, food was okay, ambience was so so compared to other Korean restaurants. Regardless of how good the place and food, IT WAS THE SERVICE WHICH WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING BUT COMPLETELY FAILED DUE TO RUDE LADY SERVER. Keeping the lady in that restaurant just bringing negative energy for the business and surely makes potential repeat customers never comes back again like us. PS: to the lady server: if you are unhappy with your work and just want to come to get more money especially it was holiday, please don t do it again. I was not worth it at all for the customer to pay and spend time in the restaurant then you just giving rude and bad attitude in return for no reason. You don t belong to customer service word. Stay home please.
I was at the restaurant on Saturday August 24th around 5 pm. The server who had orange hair with pony tail was pretty rude. She needs to learn proper customer service. The other sever who had black hair and pretty face was the only one with good customer service and attitude. But food was pretty good.
The chicken and cheese dish was really good and would recommend for a cute date night dinner.
We ve been here a few times, food is great and always delicious. Highly recommended
Lovely server Tasty food. Perfect place to hangout with friends. Food : 5/5
The staff are friendly and the food seems good.
The marinated pork ribs and beef ribs are a must. Service is good
Family meal.
Wow, saw Kobi Korean BBQ on Tik Tok and made a point of checking it out next time I was in Toronto, which was today! It was delicious. Completely unexpected, the food was amazing, the cooking at the table was a great experience, I will most def tell a friend and be back!! Check it out, you wont be disappointed!!
Nice food, good service and afortable price Thank you Food
Great food Great service
One of my family favorite place
Tasty food with reasonable price Service definitely needs improvement Place little mess too Food : 4/5
Its okay
Lucky! Our party of 4 was seated immediately on a busy Saturday nite w/o a reservation. Kudos to our server, Hyo-ryn (spelling?), for her excellent menu & BBQ recommendations, and table service. So satisfied!
The worst service ever. The way a waitress treated us so bad by throwing the BBQ cover on the table when she knew that we only ordered soup instead of BBQ. We could not tolerate this attitude, so we decided to stand up, cancel orders and leave. I even politely said to her that I was cancelling orders. They said ok. Wow!!!!
I visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and the servers were so friendly that I was in a good mood. I also enjoyed the pork ribs.
We had great family dinner here end of Feb. Their samgeopsal Bbq was so good! We had samgeopsal, joomuleok( , ). Groou of 9 people.
The side dishes are varied and presented neatly. The staff was friendly and the food was good.
The staffs attitude was not good from the time we came in, but it was not so good until we left, so we thought we had done something wrong. I rang the bell twice, but they didnt come, so I stood there. It wasnt that many customers, so did we really do something wrong?
I ordered the seafood soup and I must say that it was really delicious. The service by the staff was amazing as well. It s definitely worth a visit!
Its ok. Taste is not what Koreans expect. The sauce is pretty different from what used tk have in Korea, and sweet. Something missing..
Great spot for korean bbq. Service is quick. Quality of meat is amazing. Its one of the best spots to go for korean bbq in the north york area.
So delicious The best of Korean BBQ and even more a lot of menu. Try everything!!!! Food : 5/5
The spicy chicken with cheese is there most famous dish here, it takes a little bit of time to cook but once it arrives it stays hot and spicy!
realllllly big mouse
The service was very good. The lunch was excellent; food was brought to the table in a timely manner; temperature of the food was very good; quantity was plentiful; the taste and flavour was good; cost was comparable to others. I would recommend this restaurant. Kid-friendliness: The service was very good. As a first time customer the server was very helpful.
Good seating plan. Staff is great and quick. Lot of side dishes and really fresh food served for BBQ. They have chimney on all tables so there s no smoke lol. Overall tasty food and great service. Will visit again!
Always a favourite in this area for kbbq. Great service with a smile always. Love the cold dishes here!!
The server seemed friendly, but had no interest in what was missing on the table. No matter how much you ask for something, its rarely given right away. Even if I tell you twice, they wont give it to you. It was a time when there werent many people, but the amount of meat was small and it was expensive. Compared to Dalxx, there was almost half of the rice in it.
Ordered the pork belly bibimbap and soy tofu soup lunch combo. All the ingredients are fresh and delicious. Would come back again and try the bulgogi bibimbap.
The price is good, the taste is good, and the service is good.
The best tasting marinated short ribs in the city.
Food and service are good.
Really good portions
The squid and chicken pot is great! The cold noodles are super delicious Be sure to eat up all the Korean hot sauce made by the chef!
Back rib kimchi stew tray cold noodles
Very meh food - the chicken dish was very bland and didn t give any side dishes to eat with it like lettuce, radish. Bad service as well
Very attentive and quick service. Their spicy chicken and cheese really hits the spot and not overbearingly spicy. The seafood pancake was a little too greasy but the sauce it comes with is fantastic.
Low food quality and service The pancake seems smaller than before. The amount of the meat is less than before. The soup was really salty. One of the waiters refused to add some water in the soup. But it seems acceptable with another waiter. The side dishes were refused to add by the same waiter, But added by another waiter.
Great place for a la cart Korean BBQ. Side dishes (banchan) were plentiful and tasty. You can choose from pork and beef varieties. They have the chicken with the ring of cheese BBQ as well. Was quite busy on a Friday evening, but service was great nevertheless.
Ordered the chicken cheese dish, and it was tender, delicious, and well marinated, with lots of yummy side dishes that came with it. Overall, amazing food, cozy place for a get-together, and lovely staff. Had a great time here!
Went to celebrate my colleagues birthday, and they were out of any chicken/vegetarian options. I wasnt told that they were out of chicken and assumed that one of the dishes were mine as it was placed closest to me when I got back from the washroom and I mistakenly ate beef, which I dont eat due to religious beliefs.
I recently dined at Kobi, and unfortunately, my experience was decent. Firstly, the portions were quite small and expensive, which was disappointing. Additionally, I tried the mozarella corn cheese, but found it to be quite underwhelming. I think it would have been much better if it had been prepared with a little more butter. Overall, while the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, I dont think I would recommend it based on the small portions and lackluster food.
Best Authentic
If u wanna enjoy typical and great Korean food, u should go to this restaurant. The atmosphere is so cozy and casual, but the food and free side dishes are amazing, especially side dishes. This restaurant makes me proud as a customer and Korean.^^ The price is so reasonable as well. Oh, dear! I wish I could go there everyday.^^ ;
Food is great but customer service is poor especially this one waitress.. Ask for rice before the food is cooked but it arrived when in almost done eating. Male attendants are very mich welcoming and accomodating..
The marinated short ribs is our usual order for the Korean bbq experience with the spicy rice cakes. We really enjoy the food here as the marinate taste so delicious and the rice cakes come out so fresh soft and mouth melting. Staff is really nice and kind. Service is quick as is most Korean places. Just wish the cleanliness was kicked up a whole notch!
Great food and excellent service!!! Came across this little gem by accident.... lets just say this was one of the great accidents as the food and service here is second to none... our first time trying Korean BBQ and we will definitely be back here for more delicious food!!! Highly recommended!!!
Kobi is a Korean BBQ restaurant, we came in Saturday night at 6 without reservation, the staff was able to seat us immediately. Ordered : marinated beef ribs- 260g at $30.99, 4/5 Marinated pork ribs-260g at $22.99, 3.5 Seafood pancake with chives- at $11.99 4/5 Free sides -3.5/5 Service is fast and friendly, they also provide free soup and egg, but it s not refillable. Overall good experience and atmosphere here, potion is small though
When I ate Dakgalbi before Corona, I was satisfied with the taste, service, and price, and during Corona, I tried pork soup, but I was dissatisfied with the food so I didnt go, but it was close to my house, so I went after a long time. I had seasoned beef ribs and cold noodles, and the meat quality was good. It was bad, and the overall food quality was visible, with only 3-4 side dishes such as stir-fried peanuts and bruccoli being served. The prices of food ingredients have risen since the coronavirus, but Now, the price of vegetables at Chinese supermarkets like this is the season. Its normalized a lot, but it seems like the food quality continues to be the same as the coronavirus, using the coronavirus as an excuse. The cold noodle bowl and barbecue grill were also very old. The cost-effectiveness is significantly lower than the price. Hall service was okay. If operated in its current state, it is a similar business. It is less competitive than Daldongne or Sariwon. I hope the owner reads the reviews carefully and runs the restaurant well so that it can be successful like before.
I love delicious food a lot
Food is great, staff are nice and responsive to call buttons.
Why 2 stars? The food was okay but their safety have not meet. If you wearing short or skirts, please be extra caution when sitting in one of the grilling table like video - the lower part of the grill was not fully cover and the space was super small & narrow so I got a hot burn in my knee. Shabu Shabu MUST TRY when you come here, I think this one should be recommended as their signature dish instead of the BBQ Grill, the beef broth was super tasty and strong flavour - ingredients was also super fresh We ordered set for 2 which included noodle but we need to order until the 3rd times so they can bring the noodle out BBQ Grill: 7.5/10 - the meat was ok, not as good when compare to another korean BBQ place especially when the thin slice pork was brining out frozen. They changing the grilling plate depends on different type of meat you eating to avoid the meat getting burn so that is one of the bonus point. Cold Noodle: don t order it, it doesn t taste anything beside cold - missing sweat flavor from pear & the salty from slushy. As you can tell from the picture how boring it is Their closing time is 11pm ( based on what the server told us when we first got in at 9pm ) but they giving us the bill at 10pm with the attitude of kicking us out The overall service was great, the lady seem like team lead was super friendly & pay attention to detail, special thanks to one of the young server, he noticed my weird act and getting me a bag of ice to help with the swelling - they aware of that danger but seem like they haven t act on solution??
Nice to have a place with an outdoor grill, but the service and food are only okay. It s also annoying that they start cooking all your meat for you when they think you are eating too slow. If you choose to order the spicy chicken/squid with the melting cheese ring, I strongly suggest you add noodles or more rice cake to the dish. It makes it that much yummier.
fantastic
Waste my 20 min i tried to order and everything that i wanted is not available, even after they show what available all thing i tried to order they declined, i feel like just they dont want to service me.
Spent my birthday with my friends here. So worth it. Delicious food and very friendly staffs. I strongly recommend.
Stone pot rice is the worst I ever eat! Use to be good. I have raise this to waitress but nothing happens so I told them forget it. Rice not even dry and it wet at the bottom. It use to be my favorite place very disappointed
Good Korean food experience, two different cooking methods on the table, one is grilling the other one stove, chicken and cheese is quite good, food is tasty Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor
This wasn t my first time at Kobi and the other times were great. Although the food was good, the service was just straight up horrible. The server was extremely rude and failed to communicate anything properly. We had attempted to correct him about this miscommunication but was met with attitude and unwillingness to give us our order. He had also given us the wrong grill for our beef and another server kindly changed it for us. He reluctantly gave us our pork belly, with much attitude. Afterwards, the server was visibly mad and made our experience so uncomfortable. Although the meat was great, I have never been met with such rudeness at a restaurant before. Definitely won t be going back, I was full from anger at that point. Hopefully this restaurant can educate their staffs to treat customers with courtesy.
Had a great experience @ Kobi Korean BBQ! Price was LiL high for porkbelly but the service we got today was great! This server helped us bbq all the meats and very polite. He made the our visit more pleasant along with the great foods. Food
I went with my Korean friend and she ordered few of her favorites , all so delicious !! Great service too, they often come to ask if everything is good with us or we need anything. Booths are also roomy . Next time I will try their bbq
Loved the seafood pancake and kobi cold noodle! Also ordered the regular cold noodle which I wish we didn t. It was too bland compare to kobi noodle even with mustard and vinegar. Will come back for kbbq and kobi cold noodle for sure tho
Nice Korean BBQ restaurant with very good service from friendly staff.
Decent overall. Meat portions were quite small. Expected much more meat per order.
Food was great but service was very rude. They forced us out almost 40 minutes before their listed closing time, despite other customers still being seated and eating.
Customer service is whack. All the servers were so unapproachable that you would second guess asking for more sides/ food. Food is mid. Not worth the price. I hate comparing but Daldongnae is wayyyyyyyyyyy better overall
Less than admirable, disappointing, dark dungeon wood interior; BBQ didnt heat - moved to another table: very little food serving, service unpleasant and without language; friendliness fun absent
The food tastes average, but the service is the worst. All three male servers were neither smiling nor friendly, but the women were okay. Please do service training again. Worst service ever. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Excellent kbbq place, went with my family to celebrate my birthday and for the most part enjoyed our food. We had the table bbq and my fave korean dish during the hot summers (nyeongmyun, arrowroot noodles in cold broth). The only con was that they had alot of missing menu items and only told us of the food shortage halfway through our meal. My picky korean mother was not impressed. Other than that, I enjoyed my meal and the good company.
Very good! Service is amazing, meat is very good, fresh
I had the kimchi stew with back ribs and it was so delicious It reminded me of the kimchi stew my mom made, so I almost cried after taking one bite. The soup was delicious, perfect with soju, and the back ribs were well-cooked, well seasoned, and delicious!!! Its very far from my house... . I want to come again next time!! The servers were also friendly..! I kept asking them to turn the light on and off, and I was grateful that they listened!
Good food. Service wasn t so good.
I ordered back rib kimchi casserole, and it was the worst food Ive ever had in my 60s. There were quite a few pieces of burnt kimchi, but there was no burnt taste or aroma at all. It was a kimchi casserole that had no taste of kimchi or pork ribs, which was strange and I cant express it in words. I had a meal with 4 side dishes, but I wanted a refill. It wasnt even 7pm on Friday, and the waitress had the sense of serving bok choy salad on the plate that still had a few pieces of seaweed stems because she said she had run out. Dont insist no, I have pictures.
Had a good time, first time at a KBBQ and our server was super helpful, will be back.
High quality meat and great sides! Excellent for a night out
Very good service. We always enjoy the samgyupsal bbq and kimchi stew. The server was always ready to help. Good place for family dinner.
Weve been coming here for a few times now, every timesa there is a new experience good experience
Top restaurant
I was there with a group and kindda got lost hahaha it was a very interesting experience. It didnt help im vegetarian lol. Its a diverse city and so so many things to try!
The food and service were excellent, but the price was a bit high compared to similar restaurants.
Nice Korean bbq. Side dishes are a little spicy to my taste, but everything else is good.
I love the spicy chicken with cheese here! Love their service. They were very attentive. Also, I don t have a picture but when they brought the kimchi, it just looked so neat. Unlike most places, it just comes messy. I like the extra little attention. Makes you wanna enjoy your meal much more.
great food, staff were helpful and personable! love the jeon
Love the food, worth the price and little wait time even if you visit at busy hours, friendly service.
Good service
Great place, the spicy chicken with cheese is there most famous dish, it takes a little bit of time to cook but once it arrives at your table it stays hot and spicy because of the constant heat applied to the dish from the burner or propane source.
The staff at this location are all wonderful! I really appreciated them checking in on us throughout our dinner. They took initiative to help cook our meat, and refill and banchan if they notice it s empty. Portions are reasonable for the price you pay, as they also provide a great variety of banchan. It was a busy night, and I noticed the host always trying to accommodate walkins the best he could, without plainly turning customers away.
Excellent food and excellent service!
Food was really good, good quality meats and well seasoned. Just one thing, it was unconfortably cold in there (for the winter). Turning up the heat 2 or 3 degrees might have been nice.
It is an amazing place! This place has authentic Korean food and amiable staff. Definitely recommend for food lovers!
Delicious food, helpful service.
Refuse to tell the current waiting time. Keep asking people to come by and ask. I m not sure why even bother to answer the phone. Very impatient.
Fresh veggies and meat with tons of side dishes. Kind servers are bonus. Would recommend for any occassions including formal dining. Really enjoyed the feast with family.
Although this Korean barbecue restaurant is old, its popularity is not low. As soon as you enter the store, you can feel the Korean-style barbecue environment, and the booths and private rooms are both comfortable! The portion size of this meal for two is not ridiculous at all! The food was served quickly. The standard Korean kimchi appetizer series is indispensable, and then there is the must-eat pork belly! The two big pieces sizzled on the stove, and the grease overflowed so much that your mouth watered! Bake it until golden brown and eat it with lettuce and side dishes. It will be extremely satisfying! Each piece of the signature [Secret Spare Ribs] is very large and marinated in a delicious way. Its so delicious after being roasted to a crispy aroma. In addition to the meat that carnivores love, miso soup and steamed eggs are also good.
My 2nd time coming here & did not disappoint at all !! Food was excellent & staff was fast, efficient & accurate. Thanks guys !!
Korean chicken bbq is the best!
The bbq is great, service is top notch. Always get the chicken and cheese
Its a shame its not even worth giving one star. The chicken ribs really looked like they were mixed with red pepper paste and had no taste. There were very few vegetables. .I couldnt even eat half of the cold noodles, including water naeng and non naeng. I insisted and brought my friends I went and was embarrassed. Its probably hard to go again... I wouldnt even recommend it. You worked hard to make the food, but I couldnt give you a tip.
Spicy pork belly TO DIE FOR
Phenomenal experience here. Nate was our server and he was so gracious to a couple East Coasters who had no idea how or what to order. Totally would have expected him to be the owner by the way he treated us. The food was unbelievably good, the atmosphere was fun, and we had the best of times. Seriously--you should check this place out.
Since Joons closed so many years ago. Kobi is my new place to go.
Kind staff
Quick and friendly service, food was fresh. only was surprised that the beef rib was sold out by 8ish pm, while the restaurant close at 11 pm.
Good place and good service love the atmosphere ill go back to this place for sure
slow service.
Delicious food, nice service, good size portion and good value for money. I loved all the side dishes that come with the BBQ, they were varied nd delicious. I would definitely recommend and would come back. Only reason I am giving 4 start is because our grill was defective and had to wait for a while while the tried to turn it back on again.
Took awhile getting seats even though there are tables available. They are just lack of staff probably. The meat quality was great but not enough flavor. Like their marinade beef and chicken with cheese. Vegetarian options: You wouldnt want to come here if youre vegetarian because its Kbbq and mainly for meats Parking: Its a plaza so there are parking available at site
Food: 2.5 | Service: -2.5 | Ambiance: 2 Service: We are in shock of how rude the waiters are. We have two separate tables. Both tables experienced the same negative attitude from the waiters. If you don t want customers, feel free to turn people away. There are other excellent korean bbq nearby. Food: We ordered multiple type of meats. They were average. I wish it tastes fresher and more favor. Side dishes are a joke. Ambiance: Imaging old korean restaurant. Loud ceiling hood & small tight booth. One of us feels claustrophobic. We have to move her to the outside seat. We own & operate multiple restaurants. Your waiters got 18% tip from us last night since tips are probably shared with the kitchen staff. Clearly, our two waiters weren t working for the tips. Red sweater girl from last night dinner, 7/7/22.
If you order stir-fried squid, you will be disappointed. Frozen bag of sliced squid with comb pattern It comes out made It was really a waste of money.
This was an amazing dining experience! Its fun, interactive and the service was EXCELLENT!! 3 ppl - we ordered seafood pancake - sooo crispy! We had the hot grill (spicy squid & cheese) and hot plate (oden nabe) in use! You also need to order rice separately! The squid dish is a mix of squid, rice cake & onions. It cost $39.99. Yea a bit expensive but worth the experience!! The oden nabe (fish cakes with broth) was better than any of us expected!! $19.99 The broth was phenomenal - my mom said basic yet perfect! We got 4 types of ban chan (side dishes) and a steamed egg bowl as service (aka bonus food gift). Loved waiting for everything to cook and heat up! Overall - ya its a wee bit pricey but the taste of the food was fantastic.
The experience itself looked great. The majority of the group enjoyed the food and experience. Chicken and cheese was said to be good. The marinated BBQ was also said to be good. Celiacs - unfortunately the experience and options are limited to watching and drinks for the most part. Dietary restrictions: Celiac, this is a no go, and thats okay.
Amazing Staff and Amazing Food. I love this place!
they said close at 11 on Google map i came at 9:40 and they said closed
Food is good but ventilation not so much. Very hot and understaffed.
The cheese pot was completely tasteless and not tasty.
Very friendly staff! Chicken n cheese so good!
Great value for the portion sizes, got the Pork Bone Soup and Seafood Pancake. Banchan (korean side dishes) were a bit lacking. Looking forward to trying the big cheese nd chicken next time.
Real Korean food style
Very bad experience. Do not go if you were not Korean people. The server will just ignore you. Service dose not deserve 18% tips. I selectd 18% anyway. Would not come back.
My wife and I ordered the kimchi stew with pork ribs; it was pretty good, and it cost around $35.00 before tax. Im a little disappointed that it doesnt come with rice, especially at that price point. The Banchan that was given with the meal was pretty limited - kimichi, pickled cucumbers, bean sprout, and some weird spinach with sesame seed. I took off 2 stars because the service needs a little work, especially if they are going to be charging 15% tip.
Delicious and friendly
Food was amazing, meat was excellent with many side dishes, which you can ask for more. Its authentic, definitely a real Korean BBQ. However staffs is not really friendly towards non-koreans. I guess its their culture. They are not rude, thats why I give 4 stars but dont expect to feel a warm welcome.
We arrived at 10:05 pm with the restaurant flashing a open sign and the hours visable, says open till 11pm thought my wife an I could got a nice bite to eat. Walked in and we were told we are closed and we were turned away not even offer a tea or minor courtesy. Last I check you dont turn away paying customers during these economic tough times but I guess the owner can be bother to update his sign. If you are closed then close but dont falsely advertise. For this experience you get a 1 star I dont recommend. Pick somewhere else.
Ive heard good things about this place but havent been to it until yesterday, which was Sunday. We arrived around 6:00 pm so it wasnt too packed. We took our seats, ordered 2 servings of and some fish cakes. Their side dishes were all to my likings and it came with soup, 2 rice, and as well. I was very pleased with the quality and quantity, not to mention the friendly staff. I will make sure to go to this place for future BBQ events!
On the way of going home from Algonquin Provincial Park, my family stopped by and ordered spicy chicken and squid mix with cheese and cold noodle in tray. It was a little bit spicy but delighted. I like to visit again if any chances.
Great local bbq place. Marinate beef was great. A bit run down but still great food. I can see why the place is popular. Will definitely go back
Nice place, good service. Food is delicious.
Amazing service and food!! Waiters were very attentive, they gave us more side dishes and even helped us cut the meat. It s affordable for the amount of food and the food was delicious. Highly recommend if you re in the area!
Very good if you like army stew! Huge portions and attentive staff!

Speaks for itself try as well
Stumbled across Kobi one night and now it s our spot.
Dakgalbi..... Really disappointed.
Decent food. But on the pricy side. Surprisingly only mildly spicy, compared to what it looks like. Side dishes otherwise were poor. Could have done without. Kimchi was not good either.
The waitress rolled her eyes on us once we said for takeout. The order process is very impolite with not even a little bit of patient. The SPICY beef insteatine hot pot is not spicy at all, I wonder why the restaurant stated it s spicy. The broth/stew is very blend.
The price is high, but the portion is small, and while we were talking for a while after eating, he asked me to leave. Restaurant service is missing. Its great how you do business like this.
Good food, friendly service. Table cooking was good. Will be returning again.
This is a restaurant where you can have table barbecue at a low price. Among them, pork neck is the most delicious. I recommend eating Kobi cold noodles with cold noodles. However, the side dishes are a bit disappointing.
