Restaurant, Grocery and Bakery all in one! DINE IN CLOSED MONDAY AND TUESDAY!!!
We had a great time here! Food was excellent and flavouful. Prices were fair and portions were generous. Our server Christina was wonderful. Looking forward to returning (especially for more Lentil Soup and Pita!). Thank you!
Good food and even better cashier! Dec 8/24- I met this lady who told me she’s a cashier here and her and I had a good conversation so I decided to come in! Food is a bit too fine for me but it tasted good! I won’t forget our conversation for a long while!
This is my favorite place for steak liver. The liver is crispy on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside. The atmosphere is family friendly and wonderful service. Generous portions and tasty grilled meats. My family loves the lentil soup and the dips. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!
A sweet place, the food is amazing, the portion is so large, and the price is low comparing to what they are offering you. The falafel was amazing. The servers are all passionate and sweet. I'll definitely come here more often.
Our first experience to this Middle Eastern restaurant. Ambience is good and big enough so don't feel crowded. Service was excellent by Arthur as he provided suggestions along with smiling, prompt service. The dishes we ordered were tasty and quantity was good enough. I wanted cappuccino or latte but have to suffice with pot coffee. Overall must place to visit if you enjoy middle eastern food.
Every single bite brings back memories. This place will forever have a place in my heart. The staff are amazing, and the food options to choose from are endless and made with love. SABABA BURGER - 🔥 BEEF SHAWARMA- 🔥
First visit after Covid……and their Lamb Shish Kebab is still the BEST in town! 3 decades and counting. This long standing Thornhill icon continued to churn out some of the best Middle Eastern charbroiled grilled meat skewers in town. A particularly scarce offering and favorite of mine is their cooked-to-order Lamb Shish Kebab, using Grass fed Ontario Lamb ( more delicate, sweet and less gamey than their New Zealand cousins ). Today, braving a late Spring snow storm, my son and I decided to go for a ‘ Grilled Lamb Feast ‘ luncheon. Before the arrival of the main event, we started off with a hot Falafel and Pita appetizer platter. Piping hot, light, airy, well seasoned and crispy, the most enjoyable aspect of this Falafel rendition was their surprisingly moist interior! A real delight to eat with both Tzatziki and Tahini dips. Our Shish Kebab Skewers of well charred, succulent, juicy and tender lamb morsels were masterfully cooked - rare as ordered. A touch of salt to elevate the overall taste profile and carnivores like myself was instantly propelled to ‘ Meat Heaven ‘! Service was most friendly and attentive. A most enjoyable, pleasurable and value-for-money meal, well worth the drive through inclement weather for!
We used to come to this place a lot when we worked in the area. We were nearby and decided to drop in after over 5yrs. This place is still the king of pitas. Wow! So good. We ordered the lentil soup and an appetizer with various spreads and falafels, which were the best by far we’ve had anywhere. The pitas are fresh and homemade at this location. You can buy some from their grocery store next door, and you should!! You can freeze them too. Everything was delicious. Things have not changed. The mint tea was also a delicious and refreshing alternative to pop. I’m a fan now! Washrooms and restaurant were clean, and our server was excellent. Definitely coming back soon again!
I had a great 41st birthday dinner date here with my wife. The food was delicious and the service was great. Excellent atmosphere, as well. Thank you!
Best lentil soup ever!
Good food
We recently celebrated our parents 50th anniversary and had Sababa cater it. The food was EXCELLENT. It all tasted fantastic and there was so much and it was very affordable for a party of 50+ ppl. You cant really go wrong with any options. I also had a manakeesh while u was picking up our order and it exceptional. Very happy with our experience.
Good options for vegetarians. Tasty food and service was provided with love and care Vegetarian options: Yes
Excellent food. Always fresh. Thank you
Food is good, the problems are with management. They make borekas daily and they sell out right after opening and they never restock them. The cashier is very slow and if there is a line, you will be waiting a long time just to pay for your food as it gets cold. Shelves of products collecting dust while they don t have what customers actually want. 3 stars
I have been a regular for 25 years. I was in this week and spent almost 50 dollars in salads, all but 2 of which were rancid by the next day. And this is after being immediately refrigerated. Quite disappointing that such a legendary place is selling stuff when its obviously not fresh.
Great store, take out and restaurant. Reliable for many years
Great place, great food and best customer service
The falafel here took me straight back to Jerusalem. Perfectly crisp on the outside and tender inside, the flavors were spot-on with fresh herbs and spices. The falafel, nestled in soft, warm bread, was complemented by a generous drizzle of tahini that added a rich, nutty depth to every bite. The sandwich was fresh, vibrant, and truly authentic. Ill definitely be returning for more!
Terrific food, and service Wheelchair accessibility: Not Wheelchair accessible. The button for the automatic door was disabled, but once you re in through the store, the restaurant is Accessible Food : 5/5 |
Had a very enjoyable and delicious dinner at Sababa last night . Felt the prices were quite reasonable.
This place never fails to have amazing food! And it always brings back wonderful childhood memories.
Great food! I got the shawarma and lentil soup. Service took forever. They needed to have a second person helping out. The food was on point
Everything that I want in Levantine food. The falafel was incredible, as was the hummus, baba ganoush, tahina and labneh. The pita was soft and the fries were excellent. The waiter was kind and patient with my demanding in-laws, and if I lived here Id probably spend all my money in the store. Toda!
This place is a Toronto icon. Been going here for over 30 years. And the food has been amazing since day 1. Aside from complimenting the quality of the food I want to just give a huge shout out to David. He was the kind gentleman behind the counter who really took the time to get to know me. I think it goes without saying this place is a family run establishment and let me tell you how deep this family runs. They take care of you and it shows. The food was excellent and brought back a taste of home that just fills your heart with joy. If you re on the fence about this spot - just go. It s home for so many. You ll see why.
The greed is through the roof with those price increases on Uber Eats. $9 for a falafel? Get out of here lol.
10.77 dollars for tiny chicken shawarma definitely not worth it, Taste was below average , chicken was barely there in that tiny pita , No reason to go back to this place, Not recommended at all.Do not even waste your hard earned money here and avoid getting ripped off!
Sababa offers fresh, high-quality ingredients at fair prices. The store and food area are clean, and ample parking is available. Possibly they can upgrade and improve the sit in area for better experience but no concerns on takeout.
Excellent Middle Eastern food, whether youre eating in the restaurant or getting take out. They also bake their own pita, fresh every day and its so good that it always runs out.
Authentic food full of flavour. Lots of options to choose from, got the chicken shawarma, comes with standard toppings then you can add to it at the counter
Best Falafel
Everything here is amazing
It is a Mediterranean restaurant and grocery store. If you want delicious sandwiches, you must go there and try the falafel sandwich.
Worst service I have ever encountered. I went in to order a shawarma and was completely ignored by the woman behind the counter while she happily took orders from people that arrived after me and then walked away from the counter. Disgusting. I will never return here ever again.
Try their shawarma. Great spices to the chicken, and also moist on the inside.
Warm, welcome service and atmosphere with delicious vegan-friendly options!
I had a shoping in grossery store. I check my receipt and found that Cashier overcharge my purchase by $5. I asked her why She overcharged me and She said She did it by mistake and refunded $3.20. Again I asked why I did not get full refund and She said that She did mistake again and refunded full $5... I assuming they scamming customers on a regular basis. JUST Advice check your receipts or stay away from that place
Absolutely amazing food! 100% would recommend. Food : 5/5
A must-try for falafel enthusiasts! The crispy exterior and flavorful interior make every bite a delight. Plus, their variety of fresh toppings and sauces add an extra layer of enjoyment. Food
Very bad the food was very old, and service was super slow, they also have issues with you asking for napkins, and they count them for you. Get Burger King and that s it
Great food) Thanks!!
We really love this place Parking: A lot, its a plaza Wheelchair accessibility: They can stop by
The falafel sandwiches were just ok, the shawarma meal was bad. The salad was just lettuce and it all had orange edges, the dressing was too tart, and the fries were too greasy. The chicken was just ok. The vine leaves were good. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian and vegan options.
Best falafel pita and inexpensive
Picked up lunch there for the first time and all the food is at least 2 days old, the shawarma was very old and the salad was old, the salad leaves were all brown, the shawarma was rock hard because its a few days old. They just reheated old shawarma that was left over from previous days
The food was awesome, excellent service and fair prices. The place should be updated a bit.
This is the best falafel in Toronto without a doubt!
Our family enjoyed the whole experience and definitely recommend the Sea bass and lentil dish soup. We finished everything and were so impressed with the quality of the food. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back!
They will serve sandwiches from the take out menu during lunch. But the sandwich menu was unavailable. Vegetarian options: Falafel, salads, dips and fish choices. Parking: There are extra spots in the back of the building.
Great food for the price. Dietary restrictions: Accommodated gluten intolerance no problem Food : 5/5 |
The food was tasteless
I used to go to this reaturant a lot in the last couple of years. I just found out that they are Isrealis and are incorrectly promoting as middle eastern cuisine. The food is unauthentic and eveyone who respects the middle east should avoid it!!
A favorite!
It took a while for the waitress to come but the service was good and the food was simply delicious I had hummus with pita, falafel and lentil soup. Plates were well served I took some home! Paid $27.29 with taxes and tips. Price was great! Food
It became very expensive to eat a simple (but good) falafel Vegetarian options: Lots of them Food : 4/5 |
I am only referring to the take out service My only complaint is the price of a falafel that became Very! Expensive From $2.99 To $7.50+tax When there is no healty competition, we end up paying crazy prices for a simple pita with 3 balls and salad
I had a couple of shawarma sandwiches (one chicken and one beef) at Sababa this afternoon for lunch. The service was so poor...you can easily sense the people working there actually hate being there, and they manage to pass this depressing feeling to the customers. The chicken sandwich was so flavorless, but the beef was something else...more like a curse and a personal insult...basically ground beef soaked in hot oily water and shoved into a sandwich with some sad lettuce, tomato and onion...a disgraceful version of the real thing...and yet the price was ridiculous ($23 for two miserable sandwiches) Not an experience that Id recommend for anyone to have...
My favourite place to grab a quick lunch that is delicious and affordable. I crave Sababa everyday, falafel pita is my top favourite and when I feel like a change I order shawarma sandwich, Moroccan cigars, fried eggplant, lentil soup. My kids love the Sababa burger.
Family!!!
Shawarma was so bad I could not finish it. The pickles were rotting. The falafel and pita bread was good. Our waitress was forgetful, but sweet and accommodating. The clientele was definitely different. This brown girl got a lot of you dont belong here stares.
Most delicious food in town. Most honest pricing and staff in the business. This is our familys go to for take out when we are pressed for time!
Sababa restaurant is a culinary gem! The high-quality, exquisite tasting food captivates the senses, and their exceptional service adds an extra layer of delight. With years of dedicated service to both family and community, Sababa is a true culinary haven. I absolutely love the falafel plate, tabouli salad, and chicken shawarma are my go-to dishes they never disappoint. The lentil soup and hummus are truly exceptional, offering a burst of incredible flavours. Exiting through the grocery store is a unique experience, and grabbing some baklava to go adds the perfect sweet ending. I highly recommend both dining in and ordering out from Sababa. Whether you enjoy the cozy atmosphere of their restaurant or savoring their delicious dishes at home, the experience is always worth it!
We have been a loyal customers of Sababa restaurant for years. The freshness of ingredients shines through in every dish, and the impeccable service consistently adds to the overall dining experience. We have never been disappointed! The catering for our staff event was truly exceptional. From delectable appetizers to mouthwatering main courses, every dish was a delightful culinary experience. The attention to detail in presentation and the variety of options impressed everyone, making our event a memorable success. Highly recommend for any professional gathering!
Best palastanian foods everything available and fresh every day
I can t say enough how delicious and flavourful the food is here. I ve tried many middle eastern cuisines in the city and this is by far the most authentic middle eastern cuisine. Lentil soup and falafel are a must to try!
Don t no what happen to this spot. Definitely not same as when we used to go there 10-15 years ago.
Very good
Lentil soup is very good. We had a small issue with one of our salad and owner Nabil gave us at no charge so much food to take home. Definitely recommend this restaurant and especially the customer service that you get there.
The best falafel in all of Toronto!!! It is so soft, crunchy, and delicious all at once! The lentil soup is fantastic, and the lamb shish kebab is divine! The service was great and all the staff are very friendly and accommodating!
Pretty good food and at a great price. Will be hard to find a comparable shawarma at this price. Much better than most other places around the GTA. Falafel, chicken breast and Sababa Burger are also pretty spot on. You ll enjoy any of them so try to mix it up here and there.
Love this place, best pitas in North America
Delicious food! Best Falafel and Hummus!
How can you guys mess up something as simple as a Shawarma? Its the most basic thing a middle eastern place could get right. Cold and old chicken in a cold pita bread! Please try to make this place bettter, for the love of Shawarmas.
Great service. Great food. It was a pleasant experience!
Fresh like always!
Unexpectedly closed - second time this happens! Not good! I would gladly go back - no complaints on many other occasions weve been there - unfortunately theres no option here to post this comment without a rating
Lots of options and great place. Best Shawarma around for sure.
Amazing food and Amazing staff. Everything is so fresh there. The pitas were still hot from the oven! Try the Sea bass!
Great affordable food and very friendly people !
what a gem of a resturant. Good food and great prices, service is fast and staff is polite, enjoyed a lot. Parking: Ample parking
Please vacuum your floor and especially close to the windows Change your water glasses it has scratches. Change the seat cushions . Your food is good and delicious.
Sababa has been a favorite place for decades. Throughout all these years their quality has remained top notch. Food is always fresh and consistently great. Thank you all at Sababa for making it happen for all these years.
Great food Very fast service Exceptionally friendly staff Very relaxed atmosphere Nicest people Ive ever met
Been here a few times. Never disappointed. Best lentil soup ever
The quality of food here depends on your luck that day. I wouldnt risk wasting money there again.
After a week of being sick & not wanting to eat, it felt wonderful to have my favourite lentil soup yesterday! It made me feel so much better. And our server went out of jid way to accommodate every request! *****
Fantastic
Its a very good Israeli restaurant in my hometown. I dont know of a better place. I visited after a few year and Im happy to see that it survived and thrived the pandemic. I had the chicken shawarma topped with Turkish eggplant and hot sauce (they didnt charge extra for that how kind). Their pita bread is thick and fluffy too everything is handmade from scratch I believe. I also like their lentil soup on a cold winter night (its smooth velvety not clumpy). Pretty sure Steven Seagal likes it too (he seems happy in the picture of him on the wall).
We ordered chicken shwarma and schnizel sandwiches. They were both in a small pita. The schnizel was so dry, it felt as if it was a warmed up piece, not freshly made. The schwarma had pieces of chicken tikka with the shwarma, not what we ordered. So never again. We are truly disappointed. They are opting out for profit not quality
We loved the food! This is one of our fav restaurants. Get the lentil soup. Its amazing!!!!
Best Lentil soup in Toronto
Tasty shawarma wrap, with fresh toppings and tasty hot sauce.
Such kind service, really fast and delicious food! Highly recommend their dip platter for parties and events
Ordered Lamb shish kebab and baked salmon, theyre amazing!
Still the best pita and falafel in Toronto
Their chicken shawarma is to die for!!! Highly recommend.
The only place to get Israeli style fresh pitas and one of the few places to get Israeli goods.
I have never sampled their cuisine; my visits are solely for the purpose of procuring hard-to-find grocery items of exceptional quality and value, particularly those of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern origin.
Its hard to be in the area and not stop in for some food.
A classic. Have been going here for many many years and it is always a hit. I ve probably eaten food from this restaurant (mainly takeout) more than any other restaurant I ve ever been to. I hope it never closes or my family and I will be at a loss of where to go for great takeout. Never change.
Consistently fantastic for over 25 years!
Very good place for Mediterranean cuisine. Price is reasonable and food is amazing. No wait for the table. Lot of parking space outside.
Best falafel in town , this place has been known for the last 30 years or more
The lentil soup here is amazing. I always pick it up if I am in the area. Plus the still warm fresh pitas are a must.
Nice Middle Eastern eaterie. Lentil soup extra good. Did takeout at a different time. Both experiences great. Ample food. Highly recommend.
Wonderful place to pick up some delicious food. The Chicken pita is my favourite.
The experience was very special and the food was perfect and distinctive. I invite everyone to participate in this experience. Many thanks, appreciation and respect to you. It was a very special experience and the food was amazing.
We came on a Tuesday to eat in the restaurant. Got there and it was closed. In the grocery store they said it was closed on Monday and Tuesday. Not nice. Change your opening days and hours.
Very tasty food!!! Excellent place to shop and eat
Been coming here for years. Their take out is great. Soup and Falafel and pita great. But their dine in dinners below par. Salad is tiny , mainly lettuce and soaked in tasteless dressing which made it wilted and soggy when it arrived. Kebab dinner was a huge plate of luke warm tasteless rice ( those that had fries were better) and very little meat or chicken. Would definitely not go there again. Vegetarian options: Very poor vegetarian options.
The best shawrma - the tehina and humus has magic in it! So delicious. Weve been coming here for years
Please, please, please open a location in Vancouver!!!!!! Absolute best Tahini and Hummus I have ever had!
Great falafel pita and fresh bread.
I used to be a big fan of this place until I ordered five falafel sandwiches and a burger sandwich and was charged separately for the tahina which was always included. Too bad you lost us as a customer over your cheapness.
Amazing food! Reasonably priced and fast service.
Cant beat their falafel. And the pita is baked on-site.
Ordered on Ubereats and kind of disappointed. Got the lamb shish kabeb, it came with a salad that has iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber with a small container of dressing. The other container had the rice and lamb with sauce in a container, also a side of bread. The lamb was just tasteless and the salad was kind of bland. I appreciate that they separated the salad though. I ve only been here for their falafel and shawarma, think I m going to stick with that.
Vegetarian options: Have a good vegetarian options Parking: They have a huge parking lot Kid-friendliness: The waitress are so kid friendly
Ive been a patron of Sababa for several years and have consistently enjoyed exceptional experiences. However, my recent group dining experience left me somewhat disappointed. It appears that there might have been changes in the past few months that went unnoticed by me before. The food didnt quite live up to its usual standard, although the staff remained warm and welcoming. Im hopeful that Sababa can reclaim its former excellence. Parking: Aprox 30 to 45 parking spots available and another plaza with plenty of parking.
What a lovely dining experience. The food, the service, and atmosphere made this a very special place. Actually heard about it from the show Top Million Dollar Agent- Definitely worth the trip and will most definitely return!
Fantastic food, everything is so fresh. Amazing atmosphere and unbeatable service. Plus, there is a store attached to the restaurant where you can buy delicious olive oil, coffee, etc.
Their chicken chawarma / falafel and lentil soup rocks, have been going to them for over 15 years and always happy with their consistent quality of food !!
Best pita in Toronto. Had their meze platter with a side of kubbeh for two and came home with leftovers. Kubbeh and felafel were both excellent.
Excellent food, Lentil soup is delicious!!
The decor is so pretty and the food is amazing. Kid-friendliness: Kids are comfortable and the staff treat them well. Food : 5/5 |
Very good Korean chicken food
Great food and service. Going to thus place for years and never been disappointed. Try the Falafel thats the signature!!
Stopped by for a post rugby match bite to eat. Obviously, reservations were made in advance. The food was excellent, and the staff was able to handle the large group with no issues. Great food and service. Parking: Strip mall with large parking lot
Great food and reasonable prices
Having just been to Akko, Haifa, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, this restaurant offers truly authentic shawarma. I have to say it s actually the best shawarma I ve ever tasted in my life.
Their world famous Falafel is a local Treasure. I didnt take a picture because I ate it the second I opened it. As good as it was 30 years ago. Pro-tip add turnips, pickles and hot sauce. Youre welcome.
Love Sababa. Will be dining here regularly
Best Falafel sandwich and you get it just how you like.
Food was excellent. Fresh and flavorful. Very relaxed atmosphere
Great falafel and delishes fresh whole wheat pitas.
Too much of wait time for one single burger, stressful environment in the shop
Good food friendly staff
Best falafel, great people running the business
Good Mediterranean food. Service was great Food
I have been a customer of theirs for over 20 years. I always go to the take out counter and receive nothing but the best. Whether it be their sandwiches, wide assortment of spreads to the best tasting lentil soup in our city, Sababa has it all. I love the shop for being family focused. You can tell their crew is tight knit. I love that. Keep up the good work everyone and see you soon!
The Lamb Sababa burger was a 6.9/10. It lacked the healthy portion of Lamb meat to be expected, while also not having enough of a grilled smokiness through the meat. The salad was fine, but I asked for extra garlic sauce, and either its seasoned this way, or it is simply off, as in spoiled. It had an unpleasant sour taste. I would recommend this place, perhaps to try other options, but this Lamb Sababa Burger is a no go for me. It also said all sandwiches came with salad and a drink, and this burger had neither...
The customer service has been very poor for a while now; not a very welcoming place to stop in for a quick bite. The lady working at the hot food counter on Friday night is very rude and very unpleasant to deal with. Clearly, she doesn t like working there nor likes assisting the customers that come in and it shows every time I have visited the place. The place needs to be cleaned up and staff should be better trained. They just lost a good customer with me.
Good products for food. Prices as if it is all made of gold; service - do I need to beg for someone to show up and do the checkout. Yes. Its practically begging.
Soup was just OK. The salad dressing was so bad I couldnt eat the salad. The chicken shawarma was OK, I had to flavour the fries because it didnt taste like anything. The chicken itself was meh. The garlic sauce was gross (and i love garlic)... The only thing that was good was the tzaziki sauce (but does tzaziki even belong in a shawarma restaurant?) Long story short, overpriced for below par food. I shouldnt have ordered here.
Oh my God !!! No words.... Just EAT !!!!!
Best Middle Eastern grocery and takeout in Thornhill
Food is good..
Great food, epic service
Great food, terrible wait times. Takes forever to get a sandwich. Although it is fresh and tastes great. If you guys can improve the speed it would be much appreciated.
Fresh and tasty dishes, very friendly staff! Arther was really helpful, he suggested best dishes /
Customer service.... I have never waited so much time for a takeout order... They kept serving and never asked for a name to call me when ready... The beef shawarma I order was so dry!!!. Never coming back!!!!
Typical Middle Eastern (Lebanese style). Enjoyed our food always fresh
Best Shawarma in North America!! Great service good ambiance and delicious food
I was happy to find some Israeli products that I cant find in niagara region .
Thanks to Kristina for making our night even better she provided us with a phenomenal service the food was really nice and good
been coming to this place since i was a baby. used to come with the fam now i drive all the way here, sometimes from downtown just for a taste of their shawarma, falafel, lentil soup or fried eggplant. great spot for hosting a big group of people as well as a quiet intimate booth. mostly i order take out and i have never been disappointed. great to look around at the grocery selection while waiting on take out orders as well!
We ordered beef shawarma and felafel sandwich for takeout but they gave us wrong food for that.stuff was rude too.
Very good restaurant and larg impressive grocery store attached.
Great Falafel and lentil soup and excellent customer service.
Food was so delicious, tasty, fresh and clean... their falafel sandwich is magical.. top notch quality..
The best falafel wraps Ive ever had. Most amazing food and service.
Food
The One and Only For Falafels and everything else in the menu.
Really good fallafal food bar in the grocery store also Sababa has a really nice eat in restaurant lots of parking Very friendly staff and great menu fresh pita baked in store daily
Mid-Eastern. Very good quality, healthy, and delicious.
Honestly, this is the best place ever. I love the food and i love the people but i have to give credit to the owners who make it happen thank you.
Didn t really like the food. Not a place I will revisit.
Horrible lamb.. it was like chewing gum
Horrible Shawarma!
Best falafel balls and best falafel sandwich in Toronto.
Not bad
Great food, terrible service! Went in today and asked for a menu. The waitress raised her voiced at me and told me she s busy never going back
I ve been coming here for years , but the most disturbing thing happened to me today . I ordered a bunch of food and poured my fries out on a plate and right away saw a bug on my fries . So disappointed. Never coming back here, absolutely disgusting.
Here you can get GOOD Shawarma, bamba, Israeli and middle eastern products!!
It was only one girl serving all entire restaurant! We waited long. Food was just okay. The young lady, who was serving us was good.
Catered from Sababas for my baby shower and everyone loved the food! The staff helped me determine how much food I would need based on my guest count and it was perfect. Thank you so much! Everything was delicious. Would highly recommend!
Food is decent but there famous very heavy thick oversalted overly rich lentil soup is too heavy. I believe they add some type of rice to it which is why is so extremely heavy. The Turks make a faaaar superior lentil soup, no comparision. Lentil soup is supposed to be very fine and much lighter like a fine puree. Try one from a Turkish resto and taste the difference. Night and day.
