Interior of the restaurant is clean and new. Wait times are hit or miss. Parking lot is a disaster and there were a few times people had to back out onto the street to let the people at the pickup window out because the line looped in on itself and nobody could move. Realistically it’s in the worst location especially since there were many open lots in more suitable areas. It’s NOT open 24/7 either.
The reason I am giving a 3 star is because I find their drive through super awkward. It a tight turn to the first window it should have been forward 5ft(bad planning on the designer part) and the curb under the drive through window doesn't allow a car to get close where I don't have to over reach. I have no complaints about their service:) I haven't had any issues regarding a order mixup.
Ordered Big Mac meal with no onions at drive thru. No one was working in the first window so the second window was for paying and picking up - no big deal. I paid for my meal and the gentleman working the window said "let me make sure they did it right" and took the burger out of the bag, opened it, and then right in front of me, used his bare thumb to pull up the bun and check. I asked him why he just touched my food with his ungloved hands that had been handling money and he claimed he never touched it. I told him I saw him do it because he did it right in front of me. He mumbled something with an attitude and disappeared, then a few minutes later someone else came and claimed they made a fresh one, but I'll never know. No apologies from a single person. If that weren't enough, fries were cold and bland, pop was flat like they needed to change their CO2.
Big and clean with ample parking and hardly busy at all. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the front end cash needs better display and/or pictures of what is available in the way of food. It’s very bare and we had to ask the staff what they had and what was available. Very friendly and helpful, but the display cabinets or the digital menu boards could have been much more helpful if utilized.
Been twice since they have opened. Both times things were missing from order. Pop ratios taste off. Even received left over Minion happy meal toys from the summer. Won’t be returning.
One of the cleanest Mcdonalds I've ever been in. The music playing in the morning is perfectly calming to start your day. Staff is very nice and always say good morning to me. Sometimes have to wait for food if come at busy time.
This is a NEW location in Thorold. GIVE them a break. Staff is learning. The time & service was very good 👍
Walked in to order and immediately liked the layout/setup. They made the best use of the little space they had to work with when building the place. Staff was friendly and relatively quick. Food tasted fresh but I had a issue with the fountain coke drink, it tasted off, like the syrup mix ratio was too little. Overall it was a nice experience, if you can get past the noisy air ductwork/hvac system when inside.
whoever the manager is at this location is extremely rude . (she said her name was denise ?) as my brother waited 15 minutes for a iced frappe watched multiple orders get screwed up. this place is the most unprofessional garbage ive seen.
This place is excellent. Not a fan on being left waiting for staff to come out from back to take my order for over 5 minutes Food

stopped in to new store thinking food would be somewhat hot and fresh, was not. 10 nuggets came cold, fries cold, brutal.
Food was good and fast, friendly service. Maybe just a little less salt on the fries. The only thing I dont understand is whoever designed the drive thru didnt think about trucks going thru, I give it a couple weeks until the curbs are black from tires hitting them. Terrible design.
A store like this has no place in the downtown community.
Decided to try the new McDonalds in Thorold tonight ordered a Big Mac Meal, opened the box and there was no top patty or toppings. Ordered it with a Large Orange Fruitopia which was orange water. Not Impressed
First time going to the new McDonalds start off.I order coffee and of course, they try to upsell me because you know I dont know what I want.Then when the window opens all I can smell is mass of B.O And I dont know how you screw up a regular coffee but it tasted like they dumped a pound of sugar into it.Undrinkable had to throw it away.I definitely will not be back

The staff was horrible, I had to repeat my self 5 times at the drive thru intercom, had to do the same at the first window. I gave my number for points and all I got back was thank you no one told me that there is no point system set up, 3rd window everything is wrong more drinks then I ordered . Wrong drinks . Burgers wrong cold fries . I can go on forever. Horrible staff/ McDonald s, wont be back again
I felt disrespected and uncomfortable well waiting for my food. The food took 20 minutes to arrive, I was being verbally assaulted by other customers who were clearly drunk at 11am. I don t know how this is okay on your grand opening

Opening day, I expect it to be busy but a 15 minute wait for a simple order through drive thru is a bit much...also, their app codes werent up and running yet... they got the order right at least so they get 1 star.
Fantastic addition to Thorold
New place is very fancy and super welcoming. Sadly the employees are already lacking. They put tartar sauce on my Jr chicken instead of MAYONNAISE. Plus the girl at the front seemed like she had absolutely no training. I kinda feel like I m being punked on their opening day. Regardless I ll be going to the brock or pen location as their service is much more consistent

Very unorganized. They should ve taken a little more time to train the staff before opening. No points system, no CAA discount, I think I ll continue to drive on up to the Brock McDonald s instead. One good thing I will say, the food tastes super fresh!
Everything was fairly good, food seemed fresh, got my order decently quick. However I am displeased that I couldnt find a recycling container, there was trash but no recycling.
Waited 10 minutes for my order the other day. Restaurant was clean and employees were nice
Got told I was there too long after 7 minutes and a humming I heard and asked about was in my head. When leaving realized the humming was their delivery truck

Ordered 2 quarter pounder meals, one without cheese. Confirmed twice before moving up to drive thru window to pay. I again confirmed the 2 orders with the employee at drive thru. Was asked to pull up and they would deliver my meals to my car. My meal was completely different than what I ordered. French fries were cold and had zero salt. Not impressed with my first time to this location.
