The food was good and quite enjoyable, but the service could have been better. The staff didn t seem very friendly or welcoming. Overall, though, it was a good experience.

Update: once again we had a fantastic meal and great service from Kelly. I had the Nashville Chicken sandwich and the chicken and corn chowder which was fantastic. My wife had the nachos, had to bring half home and my buddy had the broasted chicken he said it was amazing. I love this place it never disappoints. Great food, good prices.

Never have a good dining experience here, but the karaoke host, Tara, is the reason we keep coming back. Dirty menus with spelling errors, dirty, empty tables for long periods of time which extends the wait time to get a table, cold food and/or just made wrong, slow service and excuses rather than solutions for errors. Tonight was no exception but might just be our last time here. Disappointing because Johnny Roccos is always top notch and this place just doesnt come close.

My fiancé and I had such an amazing experience! We were greeted by Naomi who was an absolute ball of energy when we arrived. Very efficient, very welcoming. The food was amazinnggggg and probably our new favourite spot while travelling through the Niagara region. We will definitely be back just because of Naomi!!!!!

I wanted to write a review due to the fact I have been coming here for years and a while ago I stopped going there due to the poor management but NOW . What a change !!! They have a new General Manager who was so amazing and charming to speak with me , just blows my mind how she has turned this place around to an amazing place to have a few drinks and have some great food . General Manager name is Terri if anybody has stopped going here before give it another try now because this place is night and day since the hard working and excellent general manager has turned this restaurant into a great atmosphere again . I will be coming back and I will definitely be recommending all my friends to go give Cracker Jacks a try . GREAT JOB TERRI !!! You are doing amazing with this restaurant ! Keep it up ! See you soon

Naomi was the best server I had, very polite and very sweet !

Monica was phenomenal, she is currently wearing a brace due to an injury but she was still very fast and efficient, she got all of my groups order correct and was very personable. One of the best server s I ve ever had. My friends and I are thankful that she works at the Cracker Jacks in Thorold because we always know that when we come she will always provide 10/10 service. Give her a raise!

The quality has gone severely downhill here in the last year. This used to be a go to place for me but now the service is absolutely terrible, the food is always bad and it s not worth it. Super disappointing

Cracker Jack is your typical sports bar/ restaurant. The food was okay, nothing special. Service was a bit slow but not annoying slow.

Sandara was our server on 9/8 in the afternoon after a 2 day drive from Illinois, USA. She was so nice and made us feel so welcome. Her service was amazing and we had so many questions as we ve never been to Canada before. Her info and directions were exactly what we needed. She made us new comers feel very welcome.

This was the first time we came to your place. We came to see the band and decided to have some food. We order a large pizza and I have to tell ya it was prob the worse pizza we have had. We asked our waitress and she was floor about how thin it was. she said thats not normal and went to her boss to tell her. During dinner the waitress came and asked how our dinner was. We expressed our disappointment they offered to remake it but I declined we were already disappointed and I did not want to wait as we were heading our. We were told they would fix this but when the bill came we were charged full price not happy at all. Now on the positive our service was very good and quick but would we ever go back I dont know time will tell.

Food has become more expensive than it used to be, but the atmosphere is always amazing and I Enjoy spending my time there.

Ordered DoorDash for 2 salads, both came as a bowl of lettuce, no dressing, cheese or croutons. Called them to address and they told me to take it up with DoorDash

Went to Crackers Jacks on Victoria Day. The service was extremely slow, and it was not busy to justify that. The server finally comes to our table to take our drink order after a long wait and leaves again, which takes quite a while to receive a pint and water. She leaves again another huge wait for menus. Waiting again, she then brings menus and proceeds to boast about the daily specials, soup, pizza, etc. that they are out of wraps for quesadillas, but the manager said they could do it in a pita instead. She then leaves, btw we havent ordered yet. We decide on Chicken Quesadillas and the special soup of the day. She comes back we order. Then she comes back to update us that the kitchen will not be doing quesadillas & they are out of the soup of the day. At this moment, our patience ran out, and we said no, thank you. We will not be ordering got our bill for the 1 beer, which at this point should have been comped or something offered. This whole process took about 45 minutes, not our first time here, and I doubt we will be back any time soon. We had met our friends, their bill was messed up, and my father-in-law had issues with the credit machine upon finalizing his bill. Poor service overall.

Nice local gem in Thorold. Patio outside and a separate dining and bar area. Amelia was my server, giving her a 5 star for her service.

Went for lunch from work. Took soooooo long I had to get it packed to go. Ridiculous how long the wait it. Every time Ive been, the wait is so long. Figured lunch hour would have a lunch hour rush on food. Nope.

The worst pepperoni pizza ever. So salty !!

So I go to this place, order a pizza.to gp. Service while there is good. I leave my pizza is wrong?. J come back and they remake it. Thats ok.. I grab a drink while waiting (another) 25 mins.....the new pizza come. (Also not that great) Ive had better there. And the server says ok IjIst need to cash out ur drink....how about my wasted time? The first screwed up pizza? Thus place has gone downhill over.my time going there.

service from the servers was excellent however the take out food was throughly disappointing. a 50 minute wait for a $25 soggy cold poutine that looked like a SIDE . we had asked for substitutions and they were not at all done.. ever since this place was renod with new owners its went down the drain. will not be going back.

Went there with a group of 30 .book this event every year there . Waited for over two hours and still food didnt come out . Waiteris was nice and trying everything to keep us happy as we waited. They were more focus on take out orders. After two and half hours still no food we all decided to leave . Big lost on them . Will not be returning

This used to be the only restaurant for years I could have my safe foods at. Took one bite of the chicken finger to realize it s literally a frozen chicken finger, probably the exact ones I have in my freezer currently :( threw out the entire thing

I come here at least once a month order takeout because they left their burgers and their Cobb salad. The burgers were OK but the real disappointment was the salad $20 for a handful of spring mix one egg and a couple tomatoes. Ended up having to build my own salad and toss it in with theirs. Come on chef you can do better than that.

John G prepared the best pizza that I have had in a long time. Makayla was an awesome waitress with a great and friendly attitude. We go here for the fried wontons but the food is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Food was excellent and our service was great.looked to my right outside the window on the patio and seen a sign that says no smoking and vaping and then look in front of me inside and saw the hostess (with short hair) probably will narrow it down and she is vaping inside at the corner at the welcoming desk! Wow!!!! Someone is always watching! Won t be coming back!!

Food is pretty good and staff are friendly. Prices are in line with other pubs and the portions are good size. Just make sure not to use their online ordering as the prices are quite a bit more. It is better to call in your order or dine in.

I like the selection of options on the menu. We had a coupon for the starter (Spinach dip) which was so good. I also had the Cobb salad - which looked and tasted delicious...the best Cobb salad Ive had! My husband enjoyed the wings, as well. We will be back!

Great Nashville Chicken Sandwich!

Absolutely love this restaurant ! Whoever comes up with the Burger of the Month has pure talent. I make sure I try it every single month and I am never disappointed. The new March burger was so good that I have to make sure I come back before it s gone. Love this place, will always come back !

Beautiful place, lots of room, fabulous staff! Nachos are the worst I ve seen around - owner/manager- take a trip to Cats & order their nachos, copy theirs & you ll make a fortune on nacho sales. Great karaoke DJ!! Will def be back!!! 5 stars all around - fix the nachos ;)

I am not impressed by my steak and cheese sub that cheese is apparently not really a priority. Also what the hell is with the onions soup. It tastes likes Campbells beef broth with a few onions in it. Croutons soggy and cheese not toasted.

We came here last Sunday for our daughters birthday and we all had a great experience! Our server Makayla was wonderful, very accommodating and friendly and she made great food recommendations. We never had to ask for anything, more chips for our dip and a pitcher for drink refills brought without being asked! Excellent service, thank you! Food was delicious.

My sister and I thought we d give this place a try for lunch today. Our Smashburgers were delicious but the waitress was the big hit here. Michaela greeted us with a smile and sold us on trying the special because her presentation was so enticing. This gal is an absolute gem! We will definitely be back. Michaela raved about Taco Tuesday and I trust her suggestions so we are going to give that a try next time. Thanks for such spectacular service!

Twice this week we experienced horrible service. The first visit we had been sitting, waiting for someone to take our drink order. Literally yelled hello when new customers were getting served. Tonight we had waitresses that just didnt have time to serve us. There was 4 of us. We ordered 30 wings as an appetizer and 4 main courses. The wings arrived with 3 courses and by the time we were done eating the 4th finally arrived. The food was good and usually is but that coupled with good service makes for a great experience. The service was horrible the first time and still we went back thinking well give it another go. Needless to say we were uncomfortable having flag staff repeatedly to wait on us. The 4th meal was complimentary as we waited 90 minutes for it. Staffs comment as it was handed to us was it looks good,but then everything looks good when its free. Very uncomfortable! Will not be back

Our regular Thursday night post-kendo haunt. Foods good, a decent-enough selection on tap, and an environment suited for our occasionally-animated group.

Staff was nice, after a 30-40min wait for food it was terrible. Service was absoloutley garbage. The oven baked Twisted Macoroni was served in water. The party of 12 that we had all lost their appetite. I would not come here unless its for a beer even then, youll be lucky to get that.

This was our first visit and it will definitely won t be the last. We received excellent service from our Server. She was very pleasant and upbeat the whole evening. I ordered the monthly burger special and my wife ordered the chicken fingers both were delicious.

We made a lunch reservation for 50 people when my kiddo s hockey team had a game in town. The staff were amazing - attentive and friendly despite our giant group (half kids!), and hustling hard to get everything anyone needed. The food was hot, delicious, and the portions were fantastic. Big thumbs up from everyone in our group!

Went for St Pattys dinner and it was great. 1st time here and really enjoyed myself. Food was awesome and Ken playing live music made it even better. We will be returning and encourage everyone to stop in try it. Guinness was tasty

dont come here. the chicken club is listed as toasted bread with feta. it came on a grocery store hamburger bun with 1 teeny piece of feta. I sent it back and when the bill came they had taken just 15% off. gee thanks. kids burger and meatballs were gross. kids didnt eat them. cookies were burned. didnt have kids cups and my 2 year old was determined to spill her chocolate milk every chance she could get. bathrooms smelled terrible, kids refused to go in. server was nice...

I did not order from here myself , but I did mention it to a friend as a take out option to bring over for a pay per view fight we were watching at my place. I wanted to try it just never got around to it. Mind you we ordered from 3 places that night. All I tried from here was wings and a piece of the burger Wings were decent, burger was standard but not in anyway bad. Overall good pub food or to order to watch a game or fight. Not sure how it is in person though.

Havent been here in 20 years called up at midnight asked if the kitchen was open and the guy who answered the phone said yes till 12: 30. We placed an order for pizza and wings showed up sat down to enjoy them and the experience was amazing just amazing Im so happy to see a business like this stay around for as long as it has the food was incredible the service was incredible and as a restaurant owner I understand customer service and I understand looking forward how you create loyalty.... cracker Jacks its been 20 years and its been 20 years too long Im coming back thanks for a great experience. If you want the smallest wings ever than this is the one place to get them. Im not one to write a review but honestly I was so disappointed when I opened the container. I am not exaggerating when I say that these wings were smaller than my car key. I am astonished that they could find a bird with wings this small more bone than meat. Considering I have been coming here for over a decade listen to me. Ever since new ownership food quality has been depleting. If the owner is reading this I want you to go get some wings for take out without telling your staff. Then comment and tell me I am wrong. Sometimes saving money is not worth it and in this case it is just embarrassing. However, if you want good wings then go to the overtime pub. They are what cracker jacks used to be back in the day and actually worth your money.

The service is good. There are some pretty decent deals on drinks. I used to come here quite often and the food was great. Even during the cockroach infestation Id give 4*. The food has been a constant disappointment the past few years. Wings are dry, quesadillas are plain and flavorless, and the sandwiches have become lackluster. I hope they revert back to what they were before as this used to be a favourite and frequent stop. The service is genuinely the sole saving grace.

It wasnt busy but we did get prompt service. The food was really good! I had a burger with a gluten free bun! Delicious! However, I was a bit put off that they allowed a woman to bring her small dog in an open carrier into the restaurant. Not very sanitary I should think. It didnt have an anxiety vest on it that I could tell. I dont think Id like to see that happening again.

This was the first place we chose to eat after arriving in Canada. Sports on the tvs friendly people all around food was extremely good. I had fish n fries. Very large portions my wife and I split a 2 piece and we should have split a 1 piece and still would have had leftovers. I would recommend this place for sure if your a sports pub kind of person.

I visit once in a while but everytime, it s amazing. My favourite is their Mac and cheese.

I took a relative who was visiting here for dinner and I was so embarrassed. The food was really bad and overpriced. I ordered Mac and Cheese and there was no flavour at all and the pasta was soggy. There was problems with everyone s food. Wouldn t recommend this place for food. Skimping out on quality of food at its finest!

Made a reservation for 9, waited 15 minutes after that time outside because there is no room. Ordered one round of drinks, had to go to the bar to get someone to come take our orders. Karaoke was a fun atmosphere, but the service was definitely not up to par. Buffalo chicken poutine was absolutely awesome, most of the apps were great but there was literally no cheese in the quesadilla which was mind blowing.

It was our first time. There were great food options and we ordered the burger of the week and the Chicken Fingers and Fries. Both were very good. Our waitress Chloe (we think? ) was also really great. She was super friendly and helpful with her food suggestions. All around pleasant experience and will come back again for sure.

Got pizza tonight to go and I really enjoyed it. Crust was very good as was the sauce. A bit more sauce and putting topings a bit closer to the edge would have made a slight improvement. This pizza is thin, so I can imagine that it cant xarry a lot of sauce without being floppy, but a slight amount extra with a bit more cheese would have made this a genuine 8.5/10 experience. Did I say the crust was amazing! Staff is always super friendly as well!
