I got the popper, it was delicious, and different! The buns they use are so soft and fresh. The burger was not greasy. Arguably the best burger spot in the area.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! We were vacationing in Niagara Falls and decided to find a local eatery instead of in the tourist area. It was around a 25 minute drive from Niagara. It is really meant as a carry-out, but you can eat your food in the adjoining bar. I ordered the Oktoberfest burger and fries. Fantastic and a must try. The sweet lady taking our order was a delight to talk to and personable. Highly recommend going off the beaten path.

We got an Oklahoma burger and a focaccia sandwich- both were very good. Focaccia bread was very fresh & the meats seemed to be fresh cut. Fries were ok. The big mac rolls were good too. Also we like that they carried Dads root beer.

Its been my favorite place to go for takeout for all my years at university. Stephanie and Craig are so kind. You can tell they really care about making the best food. I dont go anywhere else for a burger

For those of you who truly appreciate fresh and amazing food, this is the place for you. We had their cheeseburger. OMG! They grind their own meat. Awesome! I had to take the focaccia bread Italian sandwich to go. Another OMG. Homemade bread, homemade pesto sauce. Just amazing. Did I mention the Jamaican patties? You will be so impressed as I am. Im going to be a frequent flyer at the Burgh!

I searched out where to eat a burger in this area and saw that this place had 4.9 stars and decided to give it a go. I was quite surprised to see that it was a very small restaurant take away at the side of a building, but, the food certainly was comparable to any of the best burger restaurants I ve ever eaten at. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful to the point of almost being apologetic for taking the time to prepare my meal, which was actually very quick. The bun was incredibly soft and the meat was , tender and flavorful. French fries were to die for. I m not from the area, but I will certainly make a point of going out of my way to come back again whenever I m down in this part of the province.

Ive attempted to come here 3 times (from out of town), every time they were closed when they said they were open, nobody answers the phone either. Dont waste your time (and gas).

Havent even tried the food yet but the service is absolutely amazing and the lady at the front is extremely sweet to each and every customer thats walked in. If the food is made with the same amount of love she spreads I bet its going to be out of this world!

We order from here decently regularly and always have a wonderful experience. The food is absolutely incredible, bar to none and both people weve spoken to there are the sweetest people youll ever meet. Yesterday we called to see if we could do her Italian Job focaccia with her turkey instead of pork (I have a very severe intolerance but I loved everything else on it) and she did so happily, she even put the focaccia aside for me. Her burgers are among the best youll get, but she also really outdoes herself with her focaccia and Jamaican patties. Its always 100% worth the trip to go order from here, and we recommend it to everyone we know.

Great food the chef here loves to mix it up and really understands flavors I had a burger was absolutely delicious! This is almost a takeout place as you order from there counter and if you want to eat you go over to the bar which is connected to restaurant to sit down to eat and have a drink.

Had the Oklahoma burger. Amazing! They do they the chuck in house, served on a brioche bun with many signature, in house made topping selections available. I cant wait to try the cheesy one. Tried to get the pork wontons but they were so busy the night before they sold out. I was forced to settle for the Buffalo Wontons. That was very lucky because they too, were amazing!! Daily, fresh made focaccia sandwich features!!! This place is incredible. If you know anything about the couple that own this place then you know about the Jamaican patties. Just get them. Delicious food!!

We saw this place on Taste of Niagara and decided to it. We were not disappointed. The owner Stephanie was a delight. My wife had the classic burger and I had the Big Cheese and serving of fries. I always put ketchup on my burger but decided to have a bite before the ketchup went on. I have to tell you the ketchup never went on. The burger and cheese were amazing. We will definitely be back.

I was looking at all the reviews and I m seeing that the fries looks normal so that made my conclusion that they gave me a beat up fries. This fries was absolutely trash. It tasted like oil. It was bitter. I m actually shocked that they gave me this, it should be illegal to pay for something and receive garbage. The burger on the other hand was pretty good, I liked it. The bacon was pretty darn ole good compared to other places.

I went to try their twist on a Jamaican beef patty and fell in love with their burgers, soup and focaccia sandwiches. As an avid cook and major foodie, this has been my most exciting find in Niagara to date. Having lived in Toronto, New York and Shanghai, gems like these are what will elevate the Niagara food scene and should be acknowledged and supported for bringing much needed variety an options. Stephanie and her team bring a passion and vibrancy to the overall experience and is deserving of my first ever google shout out. Great food. Great folks. Try it.

My wife and I drove out to Thorold, from Hamilton, specifically to eat at The Burgh. It wasnt what we expected. First, there is no in house dining, they have an arrangement with the dive bar next door, where patrons can eat the Burgh fare. The seating arrangements definitely werent what we expected for our Valentines Day lunch - but that is the 1 and only negative about The Burgh. The bartender was virtually useless; she didnt know what a stout was and offered to make any mix drink with vodka specifically. All that aside, back to the star of the show: the food. The Burghs burgers were phenomenal. When you mentally imagine what a burger should taste like (that fresh, meaty, charred sort of taste) the Burgh embodies that 100%. The flavors are straight forward, nothing over the top. Sometimes simple flavors done with extreme care and skill can provide the most exquisite dining experiences. Back to a time before all the fluff from many of todays burger restaurants. I also ordered a Jamaican patty to go - I ate it at home and it was exactly to the standards I would have expected after eating the burger. Perfect. To top it all off, the owners are lovely. The establishment is owned by a couple in their middle-age and you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. All in all, it was very much worth the trip to Thorold.

I was out for a walk and noticed the menu through the door. The owner noticed us looking and asked if we had any questions, she explained their history and menu. She was super kind and friendly and I told her we would return. A few weeks later we returned and sampled a good amount of the menu. My struggle now is to rank my favorite items as they were all honestly fantastic. If you dont try a few of the items then I would recommend having any burger! There are a few good burger places in Niagara but this one is definitely one of the best!! Cant wait to go back!

Just finished an excellent dinner from The Burgh! Had cheese/bacon burgh, dynamite! Also had buffalo chicken won tons with homemade blue cheese, amazing! Had to be a glutton cause I ain t gluten and rounded the meal out with a patty! Tender, slight curry flavour melted in my mouth! Wifey love grilled cheese with roasted pepper soup! Sourdough for the win always! We are lucky to have them in Thorold!

First time trying The Burgh, specifically the Oklahoma burger and I absolutely it. Everything about the burger was on point... the patty was cooked to perfection and the hamburger buns had the perfect texture and softness.

Just finished(shared)2 lbs wings hot and a burger for me. Probaly the best burger I have had in a long while. Wings were nicely hot and plenty of sauce. I will order from here again. Check them out.

Big menu for such a small, unassuming location. The food is great and the service is exceptional! Stephanie and Craig are truly the sweetest, most welcoming people.

5 of us were in Canada for the 2023 Icewine Festival. We wanted a really good burger for dinner, and didn t really care where we had to go to get one. The first place we tried had a 45 minute wait just to be seated. The second place was too pricy. So we Googled best burgers near me and The Burgh was the first one that came up. The burger options were all fantastic! We ordered: (1) Cowboy Burger (1) The Nutter w/Bacon (2) Mac Daddy Burgers (1) Oklahoma Burger (1) Basket of Fries (1) Poutine When we got to this little hole in the wall place, we walked in to the most amazing smell! Stephanie immediately greeted us and asked if we were the 5 ladies that just placed all the orders online. Then she asked if we chose to eat there because we were from Pittsburgh (the Burgh ). She said she noticed our area code (412) and that s what made her curious. Turns out, her place is named after Edinburgh, Scotland, not Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the friendliest person! And their burgers are to DIE FOR!!!! It s already marked down on our list of places to go back to the next time we re in Ontario. If you don t have a complaint, leave these people 5 stars!! They deserve it. I wish them great success! We ll be back.

Family day burger loving 5 adults and 5 of the most deviously delicious smash burgers we have had the pleasure of melting in our mouthes ! Wow ! Burgh has it down to an art , a must try but dont forget the hand pies a great starter before the smashy .

I just went to The Burgh for dinner. I wanted a burger. I was NOT prepared. FIRST OF ALL, the owners are **CENSORED** AWESOME!!! Stephanie set the stage for our initial impression. Shes fun, bubbly, friendly and just a bright, shiny little ball of energy. We talked for 10 minutes before we even ordered. Craig was in the kitchen preparing orders, but made sure to introduce himself before we finished our meal. He was also very friendly and came off just as welcoming. They seem like our kind of people! The food was AMAZING. It was well prepared, and came out very quickly. We had Wing Dip Wontons and Biggie Rolls to start. Next came the Black and Blue (feature) and the Nutter (with caramelized onions added on) as our mains. The starters and mains were both mouthwatering. 100/10 (yes, the extra zero is completely intentional) would order these, and would also eat here again. And again.... And again........ The Burgh does not have a dining room. However, they have partnered with their neighbor, Harrys New York Bar to still have a dine-in experience. As a convenience, you can get a drink at Harrys, and Stephanie or Craig will bring your meal to you in Harrys dining room. You can either order at The Burghs service counter, then leave the building to get to Harrys, OR, you can go right into Harrys and the bartender will call someone over from the burgh, and you can order then and there. There is no through traffic, though, so, choose..... WISELY. I cant recommend a better place than The Burgh for a FANTASTIC burger. Will be trying the wings next time. See you guys again, VERY soon!

We got the Thai Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Mac Daddy and they were SO GOOD. They also had a Korean Patty which was also amazing. You can tell the owner loves what she does, this is a great local gem.

So .. totally forgot to take pictures of the food. Oh well next time ! First time here , Live in Thorold read lots of good things . Didn t know it was take out only , maybe I missed it not a big deal . Ordered. Oklahoma burger , a Classic (all smash burgers) and a pulled pork poutine. 2 sides of fries, 1 Korean patty and a pop. Oh and a bottle of their hot sauce. For a grand total of 85.00 All the food was good service was great and friendly , No complaints at all. And we were offered to go into the bar next door to eat as long as we tipped the waitress. We declined. I will be back again , however next time I won t grab all the extras to keep the cost down. Just go there !

If you are in the Niagara area, and are looking for some quick and delicious food, you should stop by the Burgh. Gourmet burgers, chicken wings, Jamaican patties, and chicken wing dip wontons are all amazing! We stopped in on the way to the US. Stephanie and Craig (the owner operators) were so kind, and gave us lots of good advice in terms of the best things to try. We ended up ordering a gourmet burger, six Jamaican patties, the chicken wing dip wontons, and some spicy fries. My only complaint....it was way too much food for me and two kids. lol Heads up: this is mostly designed for take out, however, there is a pub immediately next door where you can sit down, eat your food from the Burgh, while also enjoying your favourite drink. Kid-friendliness: If you are getting take-out, no issues with kid friendliness. Your kids will love the menu. Its all their favourite stuff. If youre planning to eat in the pub next door, keep in mind, its a pub. It wasnt necessarily designed for kids, and feels like a more grown up type of spot. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, but you should be aware if youre planning to take the kids. My girlfriend took her kids on a Friday afternoon, and they had a carshow outside so the kids were happy to eat outside and check out the cars.

WOW, WOW, WOW. Super fast, hot yummy burgers and great service. . . . With a smile. I had the Firehouse burger. I normally only use relish on hot dogs, but after a sample taste of the Jalapeño relish, I was hooked. FANTASTIC taste and just enough heat. Added so much to an already great burger. The wife and I split the poutine, we couldnt get enough. The fries were perfect, just the right amoint of cheese, and the housemade gravy was delicious. To the owner we met, keep up the wonderful work. You certainly have a gem here. Thank you.

The absolute most fun, you can have eating stuffed wontons

Decided to try out the burgh seeing that it has nothing but 5 stars. Ordered the Nutter burger and I was extremely disappointed. I believe they ran out of the chipotle peanut butter and just smeared peanut butter on my burger n gave it to me. It was literally so disgusting. I wish I could say that I enjoyed their poutine aswell but the gravy tasted like it was sitting for hours and was kinda off. Didn t even eat half of it before throwing it out.

Placed an order for pickup, the food was hot and fresh and right on time. It smelled so good in there! I ended up being tempted by some of the snacks on display. The beef and root veggies pie was to DIE for! The burgers were excellent. The bun amazingly soft. My partner was floored by how well seasoned or the hand pattie was. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Stephanie has always made the best handpies and now she and Craig have taken it to the next level, opening and running the Burgh. The Burgh is found (basically) in the back of Harrys New York Bar but there is access from Albert going directly to the Burgh. Wings, Insta worthy burgers, big mac egg rolls, and as an added bonus, Craigs handcrafted Mango Habanero hot sauce. If youre a fan of Jamaican patties, you need to give The Burgh a try. The varieties and flavour combinations Stephanie comes up with are to die for!

The best burger Ive had, with caramalized onions and cheese on a brioche bun; simple and incredibly tasty. The smoked meat rolls were also delicious and the Nashville poutine with ghost pepper sauce sealed the deal. Hidden diamond in the rough.

Found this place on skip took a chance and ordered a hamburger, wings and a hand patty. After a trip in a strangers car for however long I ate it and I was not disappointed. The Burgh has to be the star gem of Thorold for food! This duo cranks out the best smash burgers with the most creative flare in their specials! Not only are their burgers phenomenal, their fries are hearty, perfectly salted, and completely delicious. Oh we re not done folks on this positive review. The Jamaican handpies are an easy to grab staple - perfect for a meal on the go but everyone must try the feature flavours! From a delicious fish handpie, to jerk chicken, to korean beef: there is a handpie for everyone! And lastly, the biggie rolls and buffalo dip wontons are so inventive and utterly scrumptious. I only have positive feedback for The Burgh, it truly is such a treasure to find and eat at. There is love and care in this food, thank you Stephanie and Craig for the many, many fantastic meals!

Great service! Food tastes amazing (5 stars for service and taste). Burgers cooked to perfection, however are on the small side, and at $5 for an extra burger patty I wasnt prepared to pay $17 just for my Burger. The $5 Jamaican Beef patties are bursting with flavor but lacking pepper - I enjoy a little heat, pastry was a tad raw but still very edible. All in all great experience. Lower score on price- $52 for 2 burgers, 1 poutine, 1 fries, and 2 drinks for takeout, is a little too much.

Wow!! What a fabulous burger! Had an Oklahoma with mayo, mustard and pickles. Perfectly cooked, and the fried onions were amazing. Jamaican hand pie was reminiscent of actually being in Jamaica.

You have to get over to The Burgh! Not only is Stephanie absolutely super friendly and kind; she makes a killer hand pie! I don t know which part was my favourite the filling was so tender I almost didn t have to chew it; but the pastry oh don t get me started. I could have just eaten the pastry on its own all day! Hats off to you and wishing you much deserved success Stephanie!

Just tried them for the first time. Absolutely loved it. We had the mince & tatties patty and the Jamaican patty. Spot on! Gravy is delicious and a must with the mince & tatties patty. We can t wait to explore the whole menu!

No idea how I havent been eating here all summer... Hand pies... so tasty and hearty, Ill be trying everything they have but, tonights treat was the Guinness steak pies , just like British pot pies you love but Jamaican paddy style!!! much love for the new found spot!!!! Owners are excellent! super friendly! Ill be coming back and others along with!! haha made my day finding this gem!
