Best cheesecake Ive had in ages. Everything sold here is so skillfully made, and at a fair price, too! Plus the people working here are very kind. 100/100 I will be back

I just had their banana and walnut muffin, incredible so fresh and tasty. The best muffin ever!!! I love this place!!

It has been months since I visited and the quality has gone down hill since. The egg tarts used to be fresh now they are thawed from frozen and are water-logged. Got a pistachio cheesecake and tasted like the fridge. The strawberry tarte was jice however.

Excellent pastries and friendly helpful staff. The dessert pastry with lemon curd, shortbread base and raspberries and blueberries on top is particularly tasty. They do charge HST even if you get 6 or more take out pastries- this should not be charged as other bakeries do not and are not required to collect it. We pay enough tax without this one that is applied when it doesn t need to be.

I visited JC Paticier and loved it. The place smelled amazing and felt cozy. The pastries were delicious. I tried croissants,, and tarts. They were all tasty and well-made. My kids got crepes and were so happy. The staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend JC Paticier and will definitely be back!

Visited 16th of February. My family and I have been visiting family in St Catherines from Wales, UK and our cousin took us to JC Patissier one afternoon and it became one of the highlights of our trip! Its so quaint and sweet. The young girl who served us was absolutely wonderful. Food and drinks were brought to our seats and the choice of which was abundant! We had three excellent quiches, all of which were vegetarian (huge win because we often struggle for choice as veggies in small towns). We also had the carrot cake, mixed fruit tart and lemon cheesecake. The desserts were all decadent. Clearly made by a professional! The coffee was reportedly very good also and my tea came loose leaf in a fun, vintage teapot. Top marks from a Brit! The prices were considerably cheaper than expected considering we were having beautifully made desserts! I also adored the mid-twentieth century jazz that was on too. Really added to the atmosphere. I dropped a star for atmosphere just because it felt a little cramped and tight in there and we had to return after 15 minutes to get a seat so if theres any room for expansion I think they should go for it! Id also recommend labelling the muffins and quiches and other pastries not in the display cabinet because we didnt know what any of them were! Highly recommend. Diolch

Beautiful patisserie thats perfect for a coffee date, tasty treat, or the perfect gift. My family and I got many flavours of cheesecake, a peach gallette, coffee, and Moroccan tea. The cheesecakes were excellent, not overly sweet and oh so rich. The owners were very friendly and augmented our experience. The tea I was told is blended in the shop and it didnt disappoint, so soothing it was.

Terrible store and service. $4 plain croissant and coffee was disgusting. Consisted of hot water and cream for the drink no coffee at all. It was disgusting. Girl sighed after I requested a napkin and got only one. The girl said the prices are high because they warm up the prepared food for customers. Told manager of my concerns and was told back it is what is it He was more concerned I would write a bad review, rather than say sorry. Please dont waste your money at this store. I will never return.

Croissants here are Paris grade, staff is extremely friendly, courteous and very welcoming to small children. As with anything that requires this level of effort, its not cheap, but the pricing is more than appropriate for what you get and the pastries here are truly a delicate exercise in subtlety. A great morning treat on a weekend!

We phoned to see if in this day and age with all sort of food intolerances( ie gluten) people have, they would have something. they do none. Not even dairy free options for coffee and teas. Too sad and bad as wife is one who loves cafes! If it can be done other place they should be able offer something.

1st time going and everything we got was fantastic

I recently ordered 10 raspberry macarons. I messaged the bakery through their Instagram page, but didn t really expect a reply, figuring I d probably have to call instead. To my surprise, I was replied to relatively quickly. I proceeded to communicate back and forth through Instagram. When I was able to get to the bakery for my order, it was packaged and placed to the side. I ended up grabbing a few more treats, because how can you not when everything looked so good! This was my first time trying a macaron (even when I was in France last year, I didn t try any!) and WOW! They were absolutely delicious! And the staff! Wonderfully polite and accommodating to their customers! I will definitely be back and recommend anyone looking for a quant bakery to enjoy a latte or coffee and yummy pastry, to go here! 5

We had a white chocolate mocha, after eight latte, and delicious baked goods for a sweet cash deal. Owner Juan is a gracious host who welcomed us as special guests. With a godfather aura and genuine delight he served us as if we were royalty. The vibe was alive with chit chatter from happy customers. Surprise to find the locale in downtown Thorold. Get out of your car and out from the tim hortons drive thru people! Step inside the European world of JC Patissier!

However, the way the employees and owners of this patisserie treat their customers is not far off how they treat me and their own family. They legitimately care about everyone they meet, every coffee they brew and every dessert they make. The atmosphere is welcoming and homey. The products are delicious and addictive.

Cant be bothered to update google hours when they close for 2 weeks. Its not hard, i have done it for my own work. A letter on the door was fine in 2004. Its 2023, its not hard and gas isnt cheap.

Such a cozy and inviting place with wonderful food and drinks. Amazing service! I took my daughter for some hot chocolate and banana and Nutella crapes and we were delighted with both! We took home pastries (their croissants tasted like the ones we had in Paris - flakey and buttery) and cheesecakes as well and everything was a big hit! The best part about this patisserie is definitely the service, the girl that was serving us was so friendly and helpful, you can definitely see that she cared about our experience! We will definitely be back! This is such a gem of a place! Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and their hot chocolate and sweet crapes were such a hit with my 8 year old

A little bit of Paris on Front Street. Decadent pastries and heavenly crepes and a great variety of teas. Tea is served in individual pots paired with china cups and saucers. Love it. Staff is friendly and service is fast. Highly recommend this wonderful place. Go once and you will return again and again.

Just got their Croissant and the hot chocolate. It was just so delicious. I cannot think of a better croissant I have had. The hot chocolate was a mix of dark and milk chocolate. It was the perfect snack for a windy afternoon. The place has many chairs to sit and the staff is very kind. Worth a visit for sure.

This place is unreal. Ive gone three times now. I have about 25% taste as a result of covid and yet their treats manage to still taste like heaven to me its unbelievable and its not just the taste its a whole mouth experience. My dad and I went to JC Patisserie and the food was amazing!!! Yasmine our server was very friendly and personable! The lime cheesecake with rich and smooth with a crunchy crust! The galette has a lite flakey pastry dough and was so flavorful! The spinach ricotta crepe was nice and buttery with lots of cheese. Thank you for the amazing time! I can t wait to go back with all my friends here.

My 1st experience was last Saturday when I went in to see what they had. I went in at 4 pm, & they were all sold out of pastries. I went back yesterday (Tuesday) at 3 pm and they had a good selection. However, the best experience was in meeting talking with owner, Juan. Hes so nice to talk to and extremely accommodating. I love Dobosh Torte & he said he could make it for me, just need to call ahead, in fact he can basically bake anything I want, just need to call ahead. I asked if he made strawberry tart, & he said he had a combination of strawberry & rhubarb. He asked if I wanted one made up now, to which I said definitely. The pastry was creamy, the strawberry toppings were fresh & sweet. Best tart I ever had.

November 2, 2022 - 26.27$ Order - Latte, Apple Cinnamon Cheesecake, Italian Crepe First Impressions - My experience here was great. Before walking in, the front had cute seasonal decorations that caught my eye. I was delighted with the clean-modern but authentic look the interior had. The nicely decorated brick wall and the display of baked goods on the other side gave me a warm nice feeling. The first round I ordered the latte and apple cinnamon cheesecake. The latte was a perfect temperature to start immediately drinking, which at some cafes overheat the drink so I was happy drinking my coffee right at the start. 10/10 The apple cinnamon cheesecake was beautifully garnished with colourful fondant leaves and topped with cinnamon. While biting into it the cheesecake- it melted nicely, with small bits of apple and the coarse crust left on the palette, the filling and crust complemented well together. Preferably, It wouldve been nice if the the apple-flavour was deeper as the apple bits were the only flavour of apple I felt was in the dessert. However the texture was amazing- especially for the price. 8.5/10 The second round I ordered the Italian crepe. When it came to me I WAS excited not knowing what to expect. It was filled with ground meat and cheese with small bits of onion seasoned with common Italian herbs. While cutting in piece by piece there were many small pools of grease which wasnt pleasant. After a bit of time the grease made the crepes rubbery and bit hard to eat. Honestly, It tasted bland, spice would add a lot to this dish. 5/10 Service - The service was phenomenal. Workers would deliver your food if you were dining in, they made sure you had a good experience checking in once in a while. The pay-after eating system option was great as it felt like the customer-owner trust was good enough to allow that which made me feel comfortable acknowledging that, most cafes/bakeries are pay first so Im glad this was an option because I was seated swiftly instead of waiting in the line. 10/10 Overall. If youre looking for cute cafe for a drink and dessert then this is a great option if you are in the Thorold area.

Lovely cafe, they were quite busy when we stopped in. Today we purchased quiche, spinach, red pepper & cheese, broccoli & cheese as well as a variety of croissants. All were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

Went today for the first time after hearing about it. Was fantastic!! Great atmosphere quaint & cozy. Had banana carmel crepe and a Carmel coffee latte. And bought some treats to take home. Owner was very friendly and waitress was soooo nice. Definitely going back can t wait actually.

Delicious pastries, serve coffee and tea in real cups and pots, comfortable seating, bright, welcoming. Highly recommend this café

Had the best cheesecake so far. Creme of mushroom soup was good. Definitely a must try place. Has a variety of snacks. Desserts, sandwiches , soups, crepes , waffles and coffee/tea. Will come back soon

I just finished a piece of red velvet cake from this place for my friends birthday. As soon as I finished I googled you guys because I had to leave a review. It was the best red velvet anything Ive ever had. Amazing. 11/10 would recommend. Im not even a red velvet person but this was exceptional.

Regionally renown caterer has a front of house place of yummies. Down to earth, part of the community, great food, comfy, and casual. The savoury crepes are spectacular.

Fantastic crepes sweet or savory. Traditional French style pastries by a baker that was trained in Paris. He was trained elsewhere and also does fantastic pastries. They work as such a good team! Fun China tea pots get used with the good China. In season, they also do ice cream.

I sampled all the best macaron shops in Hamilton and Burlington, and this place was the best by far. I bought a macaron tower for my wedding, which was gone within 10 minutes. The guests were raving about them at the reception. I should have ordered twice as many! Delicious!

Very cute cafe that really makes you feel at home. By far the best crepe Ive ever had! I got the spinach and cheese crepe and was very pleased at the price. Definitely a must check out if youre in the area. Will certainly be going back.

My favorite go to for crapes and desserts! The place itself was incredibly welcoming and kawaii like càfe. Definitely recommending the Banana Caramel crape! And all the other desserts they made in their store. The service was spot on as well!
