Tasted exactly like a sub from foodland, bun was stale and the sub was clearly just shoved together, mine didn't look anything like the pictures.
amazing food , had an assorted sub that was really tastey, 👌 awesome owner that hold's great conversation. I will be back tommorow for a meatball sub. 10 out 10 and will from now on skip getting pizza and head straight here for food. couldn't have asked for a better experience for my taste bud's!
my roommates and i went for a walk this morning and stopped in to Coatesys kitchen. not only was the sub great, but the owner was awesome, talkative and a great guy. the sub sauce is a must try, it’s homemade! we will be coming here more often:)
OMG the roasted garlic soup AMAZING I highly recommend it. Everytime I come here I am NOT disappointed. Subs are so fresh and full, the homemade soups so flavorful and delicious. The garlic mayo is a favourite for my spouse whatever you did today to it DO NOT change it, it was the best he's had yet and like I said we have never been disappointed. Your flavors just get better and better everytime we come in. We are forever customers! Keep up the amazing work you do Mike it is amazing and your food is delicious. Thank you 😊
I recently visited Coatesy's Kitchen and had a great experience! The owner, Mike, is a genuinely nice guy and a pleasure to talk to. He shared some interesting insights about the town and local happenings, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The highlight, however, was the meatball subs. They were absolutely incredible! The sauce was perfectly balanced, and the bread was homemade, adding that extra touch of quality. The entire meal was clean, delicious, and satisfying. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Coatesy's. You won't be disappointed!
First time going here and I will definitely be going back! The owner was super personable and we did a lot of chatting while he made the sub. And the sub was incredible! I love the small and large options. Prices are great and just an overall awesome experience. I will be going back and bringing friends.
Exactly what we needed when arriving into town! The owner was friendly and very thoughtful. He saw my 4 year old son and gave him a sample of ham to make sure he liked it before ordering. He gave us extra napkins, which we appreciated, knowing we might need it, and then recommended we check out at Lock 7 being so close. Loved the suggestions and appreciated all the thoughtful gestures. Special tip: they also have family meals and pasta specials should you have a bigger appetite.
My brother popped by a couple of weeks ago and raved about how good this place was!! I had to check it out for myself, and WOW!! The sub was fresh, tasted incredible, and the garlic mayo is home made!! The owner is really sweet and the pride he has for his business definitely shows. If you’re new to the area, show this place some love ♥️

very small cute sub shop! i got a ham sub it was very fresh. and the meatball sub my boyfriend had was very good also! pea soup was very good haven t had a decent pea soup in a while so i was very happy about that Owner was very kind.

This place is one of my favourite places to eat. Mike the owner is a really nice guy and is super personal with everyone who steps into his restaurant. The food is so good. I usually get a soup along with my sub and it never disappoints. Great place that everyone should try!

Best food in thorold
A wonderful place for good old fashioned FRESH subs at reasonable prices. Coatsey is just so nice to talk to and genuinely cares about all his customers. My favourite place to go when Ive forgotten to take dinner out of the freezer.
Amazing food and service
Friendly service. The subs are always delicious and reasonably priced. The menu is limited but certainly enough to satisfy your appetite. Fresh buns, fresh deli meats sliced in store and a variety of toppings. I would recommend you try this local Thorold business - you will be pleasantly surprised!
Great place for lunch!
Read about the amazing reviews of this place so decided to give this place a try. Placed a large order for my colleagues for lunch today and the subs were out of this world! So fresh and so good. My colleagues really enjoyed their lunch and I will definitely be going back there again whenever I am in Thorold.
Friendly, talkative Owner. Good quality products. Very clean kitchen. And the price is decent as well $10 for a large sandwich, and $8 for a small. My mom and I got the Spicy assorted and the roast beef. $20 all in. And we were surprisingly full afterwards. Most definitely check them out!!

Easily the best sub Ive had in years
Simply outstanding. The Spicy Assorted was easily one of the best subs Ive had in my life. You know food is good when its 2 hours past lunch and youre still thinking about a dam sandwich. Also super chill owner, nice guy to talk to.
Figured I should get this review typed up while Im still full. Walked up, they were still closed. As we were walking away the owner saw us and promptly grabbed us to come in. The owner: This guy is a beeeaut. They just dont make em like this anymore. So friendly and personable. And very passionate about his business and the product he puts out. The Price: 10 bucks all in for a large sub? Come on. 10 Bucks doesnt get you a side salad at most places nowadays and you can walk out full for 10 bucks The food: 10/10. Amazing sub. Packed full of meat and all the toppings, buns are made fresh every day (I forget the bakery he said he gets them from) . Ive been meaning to come out here for a couple weeks since I saw them on the Niagara Noms IG page. I can safely say this is my new go to spot and will be eating that spicy assorted for years come.

This is a fantastic family owned business that has amazing quality food. I ve had multiple subs from here and can never complain. Great size, fair pricing and that warm welcome feeling. Make sure to try their homemade soups!

I only happened to pop in because the place across the street I was going to was closed. Stopped in for a quick lunch since I was already in the area. Almost went to subway before finding this place and I am so glad I didnt !! Best, freshest sub I have ever had! Definitely my favorite sub place now and will be back all the time for my lunch break! Very clean and friendly owner :) Love supporting the little shops so much!! 11/10

What an Amazing little gem this place is! I googled a sub spot near me and this place popped up. I was so sick of subway I wanted more of a homemade sandwich and this was just that! The owner took his time to even have a conversation with me. HIGHLY recommend.

Owner is so friendly and generous! Makes majority of everything in house and you can definitely tell and Its always fresh!! Ordered the Wedding soup today with the Spicy Italian sub and it was so delicious.. Definitely recommend it for a good brunch/lunch spot!
