Beautiful latte art!
Cute little coffee shop a few blocks from our Airbnb. We are traveling from the US (Minnesota). I had a large iced specialty latte (coco-carmel) and it was great! It was also very reasonably priced compared to places like this in the US.
I went to this really lovely coffee place recently, and it was just amazing. The vibe was so calm and peaceful, with that wonderful smell of fresh coffee in the air. The people working there were super friendly and knew everything about the drinks they offered. Every sip of the coffee was like a little moment of happiness. I'm definitely going back for the cozy atmosphere and the delicious coffee

This is a great place to buy organic whole coffee beans. The coffee is truly amazing, however, I wish they would provide just a little more information on the bags beyond "organic espresso" or "organic decaf" baristas were very helpful in helping me choose my grind size.
The place is super clean and I do love the atmosphere. The coffees are nice and flavorful and not too heavy in terms of syrups. The staff was wonderful. However, unlike other cafes, they would gently remind you to purchase more than one beverage if you are staying there for an extended amount of time. While it is completely understandable as this is taking up space that could be used for other customers, it should not be reminded by the staff. Apart from this practice, it is a nice place to relax and read while enjoying a solid cortado!
best hot chocolate in town and also this summer they have the yummiest lavender fog. great ambience to come and do some home work. they have other baked goodies everyday too.
Cool atmosphere good selection of drinks and desserts and great coffee. Friendly staff seems like a local hangout would definitely come back again if in the area.

Very nice coffee, cozy vibe, limited seats
Unassuming from the outside, but service was so friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. Latte and scones were had and were delicious.
A great little coffee shop tucked away ran by two really nice women, the baking is homemade and they truly have one of the best Cappucino that I have had in this city. The seating is very limited thats truly the only drawback Parking: parking all around if you cant find it on Bay street swing around the corner to the right there is a paid parking lot there as well

Great little coffee place in Thunder Bay! I got the pumpkin spice latte and it was delicious. Definitely will go back when I visit Thunder Bay again!

I love the vibe, its nice, quiet, and calm. They make wonderful food and drinks, and next time you go there look at some of the art on the walls!

Got the ice latte, iced coffee, and iced cappuccino, all with great results. The ice cappuccino is a BLENDED ice beverage (e.g. Tim Hortons ice capp, Starbucks frapp) and it was SWEET BY DEFUALT notwithstanding the whipped cream and chocolate syrup ON TOP but not sugary. I show all my friends and family passing through tbay this cafe because its so great for having Quality coffee for everyone plus noncoffee drinks. Vegetarian options: Non-dairy milk options available

Cozy place, great service, can fill up some times. Good location to walk around Bay and Algoma and Hillcrest and stop in for a coffee or sit for a while and get some homework done. There are some baked goods available but no lunch options.
Great coffee shop, with great coffee. They have all the typical coffee varieties, meaning expresso to the basic cup of coffee. The staff was very friendly and great to deal with. They have typical pastries and such if you feel snackish. There is a good sized sitting area and they have a decent selection of books and board games you can play while you drink your coffee. I will go back as they have everything you would want in a coffee shop, great coffee and great staff.
Calico is my #1 favorite coffee spot for 15 years+. Coffee is great, staff/owners are fabulous, you gotta be strategic to get a booth....great place to write and do homework or play Scrabble.

Friendly, clean and cozy place
Good cafe. Loved the coffee. They have a 1 hour and 30 min rule. Which I completely understand, due to limited seating during COVID restrictions. But if the cafe was empty and no one is waiting in line to sit, they should have allowed me to sit there longer. I even did not mind having a second round of order.

A very nice place to relax with some coffee. But the coffee was pretty bad last time I was there. I had a cappuccino, which either used dark roast beans, a burnt espresso, or both, neither of which I like. The foam on the cappuccino was too airy instead of microfoam, and there was too much of it. #cafe #coffee
Been going here since the first week they opened. Great coffee, I have had better but not enough to complain. The better thing about this place is that the girls that work there are on track and the ones who own it have really done good a great job. Thank you for being so good for Bay st!!

Not my kind of place to sit. Too dark and depressing....but I know their coffee is good, just get it to go! The floor tiles are in bad shape and the t could use better lighting...bit maybe the young folk like it that way. I was happy to see the tables filled with people talking, unlike some coffee shops where they are sometimes filled with students staring at their computers...one to each booth.

Calm, eclectic. Unhurried place to take a coffee/dessert/snack break while in town from camp (the cottage for those not living in Northern Ontario). Try the carrot cake, best in town!!

Really delicious coffee and espresso in a nice atmosphere. They have a large selection if books you can sit and read. Some great iced coffee and frappuccinos too.

Me and my friends usually come here all the time to study. Recently the service is horrible. I came in and sat down for 5 minutes waiting for a friend and they approached me asking if i was going to buy something. I responded yes I am just waiting for someone and they asked how long it would be and I said 10 minutes. Exactly 10 minutes later right before my friend came they came back again and asked the same question. Once my friend got there we both ordered drinks and food and about 1.5 hours later we were approached and said that if we dont order something else we will need to leave. This is absolutely not acceptable and for customers you shouldnt treat them this way. If Calico has a rule, put up a sign and make it visible and let the customers know they cant stay. At this time there was tables and booths still open too, not busy at all. We left right away after they told us that and went next door to eat instead of giving a company that treats their customers like this our money.

I really like this place; the staff are nice, its open late (a rarity in Thunder Bay!) and, because the baked goods rotate, I always have something new to try. Highly recommend any tea-flavoured cake or snack.
In short its really cozy and friendly here but a bit on the exspensive side. Theres lots of places to sit and get comfy and they serve tea, coffee and desserts. Its very comforting and welcoming here and the baristas are very friendly and feel like friends even if its your first time there

Quiet cosy little nook of a place. Smack dab in the historical Bay Street area, where lots of little shops , pubs and restaurants are within a block. Grab a cup of joe sit relax and walk around the area a bit it wont disappoint.
