An amazing place for dinner! The food came out fairly quick and the server was amazing. I had this years Novemburger, which was amazing. The only critique I have is that the fries were a little cold when the burger came out. Overall, an amazing experience with live jazz music.

Elvin and Robin were wonderful. Elvin was the first person we greeted and he definitely contributed to a very enjoyable experience. He was very friendly and it was a pleasure to meet him and watch his interactions with other guests as well as ourselves. Our waitress, Robin, was so good. She made appropriate suggestions without being overly suggestive. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. The Atlantic Salmon was wonderful. The brussel spouts were extremely good. Robin was attentive and not overbearing. The whole experience was great

Food is very good! Service is not good especially for breakfast/lunch. Hard to find a server at times. We sat at the host station for over 5 minutes. Then we just sat ourselves. Restaurant was almost empty and the staff was in the back. I would not recommend until the service staff is better trained. Too bad as the food is good. F&B manager has to do a better job training staff.

The view and the restaurant are beautiful but the service is consistently slow (even when not busy) and the food is mediocre compared to local options,e.g., Bight next door.

We were staying in the hotel and I brought my kids down for dinner. Our server Laura made excellent suggestions for the kids meals. Everything was delicious and service was great. My Moscow Mule was on point (and I am picky!).

Really happy with A&O! Beautiful views, EXCELLENT wait staff. Robin was so knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. We also observed another server waiting on a table of 20 and he was so impressive. The side Caesar was the perfect size and had bacon on it-everything is better with bacon. The Cajun chicken tenders were so good, spicy but not too hot. Cocktails were top tier

Please do yourselves a favour and get rid of whoever is in the back that clearly cant boil water without a recipe much less execute an entre that has a hint of flavour besides a mouthful of garlic or cold grease. If I ever eat here again, Ill cook it myself.

The food was absolutely delicious each dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, made even better by the stunning view of the Marina. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal with a beautiful waterfront view!

Pricey. Nice view. Nice windows. Food was rather salty. The quality of the food that is main dishes is/are probably no better perhaps even slightly worse than Tim Hortons. High prices. Best part. Dessert. Cheesecake. Really excellent quality with fruit. I wanted the creamy dessert too but didnt order.

The view from the hostess stand was nice I guess. Stayed there for 10 minutes waiting to get seated. Made eye contact with staff multiple times, but they didnt seem interested in their jobs that day. Was 8:15am, so during their open hours. Guess they just didnt feel like it.

Very beautiful spot on water front with great ambiance but the service is just poor and attention to cleanliness lacking. I have enjoyed visiting but last 2 times were unpleasant and today I didnt make it to a meal. Was sat at a dirty table with no service for 10 minutes so I left. Patio closed on a sunny day because apparently all the tables were dirty. QR code for menu was expired and most beer taps were not even in use. Love thunder bay and support growth of the water front but these poorly run businesses just bring it down. Shameful!

Worst restaurant experience ever sat for over an hour for lunch. Not even enough common sense to bring the kids food out first. This restaurant needs a wake call and not the one from the hotel lol. Will never go back even if the meal was free. What a dump

Went to Anchor & Ore for dinner tonight. It was absolutely amazing!!! I had the a & o fish and fries. The best fish Ive had in a long time. Cant wait to come back and try something new.

I cant say that I would recommend the Sunday brunch. We were there Aug 18/24. If you have to wait more than 5 minutes for plates and the restaurant isnt overly busy, that is a sign. Buns, salads and condiments were slow to be refilled. Plates slow to be cleared. Water glasses not particularly clean. The assistant manager did apologize for some issues in the kitchen and hoped we would return to try again. I was disappointed and will not return. For $35/person I expected better.

Went for diner this time. Again great service with @ Nithin, beautiful view and good food. I took the pasta with shrimps and Parmesan and Kalamata Olives. It was nice, just well seasoned. Very abundant. I could not finish my plate.

We had lunch and then breakfast on the following day at the Anchor & Ore. The food was excellent! Annie was our waitress for both meals and was a delight! She was helpful and friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we were well served!!

Janifer served us tonight and was incredible. Very attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. It was one of my first nights living in Thunder Bay, and I d recommend the Delta to anyone!

We have been regulars at Delta in Thunder Bay since it has opened. We had the delight of meeting Annie at our first breakfast there after COVID and we are lucky to get her as our server each time. She remembers what we usually order and always stops to have a quick chat. Her smile is infectious and she makes sure we are happy with our orders. She even knows we always need the shade lowered as the morning sun can be pretty hot even in Thunder Bay.

Delicious breakfast, beautiful atmosphere and view of the waterfront. I had the continental breakfast, it comes with unlimited coffee. Great value for $13. For all other choices, coffee is extra. Very friendly and professional staff. Premium service and environment. Parking: Paid parking lot right next to the Delta hotel.

Guests at the hotel. Fish and chips the first night were soggy and fish mushy. Tartar sauce was odd, not my first choice. We tried breakfast the next day. Worst eggs Benedict I ve ever had. Sauce was off. English muffins weren t toasted so soggy. Server just took the largely full plate away. Tipped accordingly.

Veggie egg white omelette was fantastic. Thanks to Janifer for being such a great server. I really appreciated the friendly smiles :)

My favorite breakfast in Thunder Bay! Always a great time and big compliments to the chefs who are behind the scenes who always do such a great job. Also, Annie made it a point to say she remembers me and my family from previous stays and it shows the personal touch you always feel from the staff here as well

Pretty bad overall. Over 40 mins for fish and chips. When it arrived, tiny portion of fish and the fish was barely lukewarm. Cold in the center. The tiny fish was mush, may as well have been breaded oatmeal. Tiny fries portion, also cold. Id rather eat a McDonalds McFish. Very nice venue. Service was awfully slow and food actually bad. Staff was apologetic and tried.

Food over priced and service was not good ! View is great but Food was all cold and the server could not care!! The food was just average when prepared and server did not know what she was doing . You would think she would be trained but I guess that is to much to ask for ! I will not rush back or recommend this place to anyone!!

Great view but the Salmon was missing seasoning. Service was very poor, the lady served food with no utensils, when we said the food didnt taste good she said oh thats too bad Definitely I will never go back there Adding an update to this review: The operations manager reached out and asked to attend a brunch to come and try out the restaurant again. We went for brunch on Sunday May 26, 2024. The staff welcomes us. It was buffet and we went and tried out few options out of variety they had. I has the eggs Benedict and it tasted very good but not very warm. Pastries were good as well. I would say I definitely had a better experience considering the dinner we were there for. Definitely more room to improve. Thanks

I tried the Chicken Tikka , the spice level was perfect and it was served with garlic naan and mint chutney, had the authentic Indian taste. Finished the dinner with the Lava cake that came with some berries, a must try dessert

Josh was great! The food was delicious the caprese avacado toast with poached eggs was perfection! My husband had the egg omlet and was very satisfied with the quality. Would recommend it!

Service was great. Waited forever for food Got food - had hair between ham & egg in my Eggs Benedict.. Server did replace within 10 minutes after we waited over 1/2 hour for our meals in the 1st place. I had lost my appetite so just took home. Paid for the meal. Do not expect a meal for free.. I suggested hair nets in the kitchen. They possibly were understaffed - was very busy Mothers Day. I will go back again as I am sure that is not up to their standard. Everyone is entitled to a 2nd chance. Beautiful view All is good.

Went to the Sunday Brunch Buffet quick tip: make a reservation ahead of time so you get a seat like we did! its popular but didnt feel cramped where we were seated thumbs up Buffet Food was delicious and replenished quickly the breakfast items were great and the lunch items were great too...the roasted cauliflower salad was sooo good! Kory and her staff were Great!! They were accommodating for children and us needing a high chair, our waitress was great and made sure we had everything we needed! Kory added a special touch to breakfast for our daughter it was so kind of her! Another nice surprise too, there was a craft show going on in the conference area that we walked through after brunch..And last but not least THE VIEW from the restaurant is beautiful! wall to wall windows throughout overlooking the marina and lake superior :) We will be back! We were also at this restaurant 2 years ago for a staff Christmas party and the service and food was great back then too! sometimes you see restaurants go downhill after a couple years of operations, NOT Anchor and Ore everything is still wondeful and delicious!! Ill say it again we will be back!! Thank You Kory and the Anchor and Ore team!

Amazing portions! Awesome service, no complaints Ate here with a voucher while staying at Delta for the night. Was served by a highly attentive waitress named Annie. She even reminded me of things I could get for free of with my voucher after I have forgotten. Food is standard, nothing extravagant, but extremely filling. Regular price is also fair for the quantity. Would recommend eating here if you need a convenient and filling breakfast.

Not a great experience. I had been to the brunch a few times and it was very good. Dinner not so much. Our server was too busy at the bar to meet our needs. When our dinner did arrive we had no cutlery. The waitress said she would be back with some but that never happened so I took it off the table next to ours. Service was slow. Food was just okay. Asked for bread/buns but they do not offer that. How hard is to offer a bread basket with a meal. I would have gladly paid for it. I will return for the brunch but nothing more.

I had the most amazing Mother s Day at Mother s Day Ballroom Buffet IN THE DELTA The presentation was beautiful with the music The food was the best I ever ate in Thunder Bay not one bite was refused everything done to perfection The hot dishes were hot and deelicious there were salads and about 15 hot dishes breads pastries desserts an omelette table and a carving table a dessert table and a juice bar and a variety of teas I used to go to another ballroom on Mother s Day it has since gone downhill I will only go here to the DELTA FROM NOW ON THANK YOU TO THE CHEF MAY YOU STAY LING IN THUNDER BAY THE SERVERS WERE GREAT TOO BEST MOTHERS DAY EVER THANK YOU THANK YOU

Went on Mothers Day for breakfast. Reservation was at 10:15 and our food arrived at 11:45. Much too long to wait but they did provide fruit bowls on the house while we waited. Food was mediocre. Some dishes were good while the pancakes were disliked by both persons in our group. Tasted like they came from a box and when we asked if they served it with real maple syrup the answer was yes (but it wasnt). Restaurant was beautiful and wait staff was very nice but not sure we will go back.

Janifer was so nice, I came down for food but wasnt feeling good so I got a coffee and she didnt charge me and was so friendly! Very nice of her and will definitely be back to get some food!

Very unhappy with the food and service. We had the salmon which had little flavour and wasnt hot. We complained about the food and got little resonse from the server. Food was definitely overpriced for the quality. When I made the reservation on line I said it was for a birthdays and it was never even acknowledged, no Happy Birthday or complimentary dessert. Overall very disappointed.

We recently had the Sunday brunch buffet here. The food was tasty with lots of selection. Staff were friendly. Our server, Gabby, was very friendly and quick. We would definitely do the brunch again! Good price for what you get.

Ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was cooked to perfection. It came out quick as the restaurant wasn t too crazy. The new menu looks great. They have their Novemburger on the menu as well which I have already had. Looks like a lot of options for everyone.

OMG! This is the best place in town for a classy dinner. The place also offers the magnificent view of the sleeping giant. Great food and perfect vibe for an intimate dinner. We were served by Nithin and he was excellent. He recommended the best they offer and I must say, he didn t disappoint us. Great service. Keep up the great work, Nithin! Such a disappointing experience. My boyfriend and I came for the Sunday brunch buffet. I had made us a reservation in advance. We were seated but after that, no servers approached our table. We watched tables seated after us be served promptly. My boyfriend and I ended up helping ourselves to the buffet without any drinks. A good 20 minutes went by without service until I approached a group of servers standing at the bar area to alert them that we had not been attended to for over 20 minutes. A woman, who appeared to be a manager, began saying Oh, we had assumed before abruptly cutting herself off. We would love to know what was assumed and how that assumption led to us not being acknowledged for 20+ minutes. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and the restaurant should be embarrassed. We will not be returning.

Company I work for had a Christmas Party held there on Dec 2023 and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Gabby - a waitress - was particularly helpful! Highly recommend.

Its christmas and i am on the road for work when all hope is lost on this day day i decide to default to the hotel restaurant. My husband and I had a delicious breakfast here this morning. I had the avocado toast and he had the omelette. Our server, Annie, was terrific. Definitely recommend.

The location was nice, the brisket meal was dry, tasteless and very tough, the exception was the brussel sprouts. I was given a gravy to moisten the brisket and it too was tasteless. It was a very disappointing meal.

We dined at Anchor and Ore as guests of the hotel. We found the food, atmosphere and service to be excellent both at breakfast and dinner. Our morning server, Gabby, was friendly and paid attention to detail. To anyone living in or visiting Thunder Bay, do visit Anchor and Ore in the Delta Hotel.

Fantastic service this evening. We were able to enjoy a wonderful evening out, while enjoying delicious food. The food came out quick. And the live jazz tonight was amazing. Our server Nithim was absolutely amazing. He gave us great recommendations on what to order and provide exceptional service.

Dinner on the night of Fri Oct 20 was great. The restaurant was packed and Nithin took good care of me, checking on me, making sure things were to my satisfaction. The rissoto was great!

Food was good! Atmosphere was lovely! Great spot near the lake with big windows. Friday night had fancy vibes with a great live performance in the corner. Service unfortunately, was very slow for a Friday night with events happening in the weekend at the hotel.. It seemed there were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant! Cant speak to other times or days though, so maybe it was a flook or maybe theyre hiring. Either way, enjoyable experience.

Had a lunch buffet in A&O in Delta Hotel Thunder Bay, there were amazing varieties of food with live carving station. Knowledgeable service was provided by hostess Shaheen when we arrived. Our waitress Gabby was took care of us well too. Parking: There are a lot of free parking lots in front of the hotel Kid-friendliness: Kids under 3 is free

Finally got around to checking this place out. Very nice atmosphere with great views of marina and lake. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the fish tacos. We split the North Shore salad...Im not a big fan of salads but I loved this one. Both dinners were enjoyed. The service we had from Kaaisa was terrific. She was polite and attentive.

Jenifer was my server at breakfast during my stay. She was thoughtful, very pleasant and just an overall friendly person. She ensured my order was correct, made the perfect amount of contact during my meal and will be the reason I return. Food : 5/5

Our group of 8 for dinner this evening was well tended to by Gabby. With her hospitable demeanour, and knowledge of the menu, she was able to provide suggestions and comparisons. We were not rushed through dinner and were made to feel that we were welcome to linger afterwards. The restaurant was busy, but appropriately staffed to ensure everyone was well taken care of. Tables of guests in our vicinity appeared to be enjoying themselves as well. Korrie also came by the table to ascertain everyone s meal was to their liking, and to thank us for choosing the Anchor & Ore for our gathering. (How nice to be appreciated!) We look forward to a return visit! With so many menu options, but limited appetites, we have to go back and try some other items! Thanks for a great evening out!

Awesome meal in a beautiful place! We had a table at the window overlooking the lake. It was an amazing meal! Worth every dollar spent! Vegetarian options: Lots of fresh fruit and veggie salad to choose from. Pancakes with berries and syrup. Delightful honey glazed carrots

Great experience. This was my second time visiting the restaurant. My experience was elevated by Nithin. The menu had diverse selection of dishes. Nithin guided us through the menu. I liked the food and ambience. I highly recommend the restaurant.

a group of 8 of us visited on Nov 17, our server was (Gabby) she was great, very attentive, knew her menu very well, made recommendations. All of our meals were really good, some had fish and chips, some had fish tacos and someone had a salmon dish and that I wished I would have taken a pic of it was beautiful in presentation and the person eating it said that the salsa that came with it was delicious. Another nice feature is the ceilings are so high that there isnt that feeling like you have to shout across the table, like at most eating establishments. We had a lovely (Not rushed dinner) and will try again in the summer to experience the outdoor patio. Parking: within a few feet of the door

We ended up going to the Sunday brunch buffet. The food was plentiful and amazing. I wish we could have sampled everything but we were too full. Caprice was our server and she was wonderful.
