Coco Bay Restaurant in Thunder Bay

We visited Thunder Bay and we came across this restaurant oh is it ever good! Good portion, fair price. Our family enjoyed it.

Ordered take out. Recieved no plumb sauce for the egg rolls. Recieved no soya sauce. Food was all right, definitely have had better. From the rave reviews, I was disappointed.

Serving quantity is big but the taste and quality is not so good. Pho is okay but not enough vegetable toppings like bean sprouts. I ordered their lunch special that says sweet and sour shrimp but I was served breaded shrimp instead and it s so thick I can hardly taste the shrimp. If you come here make sure you know what you are getting. Their menu is pricey too, lunch specials are $12+ but the regular meal costs around $25. Will not recommend. I would have enjoyed Manchuk in the Mall more cause its way cheaper but food aside from the pho and ramen I guess are pretty much the same.

Cocobay is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant that brings authentic flavors to life. The pho was rich and aromatic, while the banh mi had a perfect crunch with fresh ingredients. This place was such a lovely restaurant to eat at. The customer service was amazing with very helpful descriptions of the foods. Very accommodating!!! Vegetarian options: Vegan spring rolls, fried tofu & sweet and sour sauce, Chop suey, Szechuan spicy stir fry...

The noodle bowl with chicken was excellent. The Shanghai noodles were spiced just right. Will be back again.

The store is a bit dirty The portions of the dishes are quite large. I ordered war wonton and fried noodles.

Theyve been consistent with the food quality since I got the same thing every time and theyve all been good. Make sure you utilize the patios as well before the snow sets in

Amazing Food and Amazing Service

The servers were very eager to take our order, which is nice but I felt very rushed. Once getting our food we were disappointed as there was minimum flavour. Will have to go home and spice it up myself. Also they forgot to bring out our forks

Was really hoping to have found a good Pad Thai in Thunder Bay finally but alas it was as poorly flavoured as everywhere else and around 7 dollars more than any other place. At 25 dollars I more or less got a small amount of chicken, 2 sprigs of cilantro, a dusting of peanuts and bell peppers. The noodles were actually not mushy and were cooked perfect, they were however more or less flavorless. The staff was very nice and atmosphere was good which was redeeming and suggested more potential perhaps with other dishes. Im not saying I would never eat here again. The fact is Thunder Bay has really bad pad thai and I need to accept this. I would try something different next time happily but never the pad thai.. Please add more fish sauce and tamarind. Consider prawn paste. Where is the pungent flavour!?!?

Definitely give them a try !!! The ramen was so delicious!!!!! Ordered the crab Rangoon and I loved it. Also the spicy stuff is actually spicy so please don t be offended by the spice if you re spice intolerant overall I d love to go back to them !

Service is fast and efficient. Restaurant is clean. Food is great. The bowl of pho they serve is HUGE! cute little spread of greens and sprouts on the side make it feel more authentic. I haven t had their ramen yet but all my friends who have had it say nothing but good things. Happy to have this restaurant in the neighbourhood! Hope they stay a long time

I order my usual, combination meal of chicken balls, wontons and chicken rice. The portions are plenty. So delicious. Service is great. Julie does a good job. Relaxing atmosphere, welcoming.

We remembered a great review we saw of this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We are so very glad we did. The service was warm and friendly and the food and drinks were amazing. Best Pad Thai Ive had in the city and the Shrimp noodle bowl was so fresh and vibrant. The portions were very generous. My husband is a big eater and could barely finish his meal. We will return soon!

Best in town!! Especially the wontons!! The chicken balls are so fluffy with nice portions of chicken, not dense like most others! I cant rave enough how delicious the food is!!

First time trying Coco Bay and we were impressed. All the food was excellent. Until now, I could not find a place in Thunder Bay that makes a true Ramen that compares to Ramen restaurants in other cities. Coco Bay has finally changed that, from the broth, to the pork and the egg was wonderfully marinated.

Been here twice now and both times the food has been delicious so far I ve gotten the ramen and firecracker shrimp and the crab Rangoon all very delicious. The ramen is especially good the service is a little slow after ordering but its definitely worth it and the workers are very nice and accommodating 10/10

As someone who grew up eating really authentic Vietnamese food in toronto, this is by far the best pho broth in thunder bay.

I don t even know where to begin as to why I love this place. The food is incredibly tasty, the price is below what you could expect to pay for the quality and the portions are huge. They even gave us a desert and iced coffee for FREE. Who does that in 2024? We were tired when we stopped by and they instantly uplifted our mood by talking to us and asking us questions. I honestly have never had such a satisfying customer experience. I hope this business keeps flourishing and attracting more customers because they deserve to thrive. If you are crossing Canada, this is a MUST.

Best Lo Mein in town !

incredible tasting food, all i was thinking the entire meal, traditional ramen was 10/10 wontons were nice and full, spring rolls were refreshing tasting. the firecracker shrimp with sauce tasted great, the lo mein was the best i have ever had!!!!! can t recommend this place enough

We went there to try their pho and ramen; first of all, the place is not giant but not small, with good music and illuminated. Secondly, the service was outstanding, always looking out for us and having a great time; finally, the food was aromatic, full of flavours and significant portions; it is a good option in Thunder Bay, and I genuinely recommend trying the ramen and their bowls Kid-friendliness: They have kids chairs and plane food for our children in their first years

Ramen was top shelf. The pork and the egg each had their own unique and flavourful taste while sitting in an excellent soup. Noodle were exactly what you want. Only take back was the atmosphere. Nothing appears changed from the previous restaurant that was there. It wasnt bad, everything was very clean so bravo, but doesnt really have a noodle house feel. 100% added to my list of Thunder Bay restaurants to return to.

A friend and I attended this restaurant today and ordered some food. I ordered pho and egg rolls and my friend ordered a vermicelli with a wonton soup. New people got there after we did and were served before us. After 45 minutes we received our appetizers and after waiting another half hour our main dish had not been received. We are natives who work in union construction and believe we were discriminated against. She was more worried about us running on the bill than she was about getting our food. I am and will be pursuing this under consumer law and yes welcome to
