I really enjoyed eating here, great amount of food with reasonable pricing and pretty Christmas decoration

Our server was a bit frazzled but remained polite. I expected roadhouse food, but it was well prepared and, for me, the exact right amount.

Clean. Decent prices. Have individual tvs at the booths. Food was excellent. Service was great. I definitely would recommend going. Got the chocolate mousse dessert tasted amazing if you are the type for a dessert.

Went for a bday celebration. Had a reservation for 20. Food was delicious and service was great. Accommodations for the 6 kids with us too. Thanks for a great evening out. Kid-friendliness: Had kids menus with colouring on the back, crayons withing seconds of sitting down. Kids enjoyed their options and the food they chose all got eaten

I have been to this location before and remember their ability to keep frosty beer glasses coming throughout the night. I ordered the maple peppercorn cheeseburger with Caesar salad, wow it was awesome! Service was awesome, I ll be back!

I waited at the front for about 7 minutes without being acknowledged there was no server or host in sight. If I hadn t placed an online order, I would ve left. The poor bartender seemed overwhelmed with a large group order. After 10 minutes, a server finally came over, but her behavior was quite odd. The food was average at best. I wouldn t return. I m giving it 2 stars because the restaurant itself looked nice.

All in all the restaurant is decent, however, I wouldn t necessarily recommend the restaurant. The staff is friendly, however, the food wasn t that great, and the portions were very small given the price and quality.

Overall the prices are ok and the food is ok. The services and atmosphere is great. Our server Akira was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Very accommodating for allergies. We didnt see any DF, GF, vegan, etc. options on the menu, but when we asked about allergies our server brought out a binder that lists all common allergens in each menu item, which is what we needed. Our food came quickly and the atmosphere was relaxed. The music wasnt too loud. My only complaint is that there was a screen in every booth which I found a bit excessive, but some people might like that. Anyways, overall a great experience.

Bar maid was excellent! I had the fish and chips. The fish was really good and it was a huge portion. I ll go back soon.

Food was terrible (other than the fries) but the service was quite good. No real vegetarian options. I had the beet salad but it wasnt very good. Could not even taste the beets. Not that there were a lot of beets anyway. My wife had the fish tacos and she reports that they were the worst fish tacos shes ever had (and she has had plenty over the years). The coffee was terrible too. Vegetarian options: Essentially none other than salads.

Waited over an hour for our order. Waitress promised to take care of us but rather than comping any part of the order they gave us a free appetizer we didnt ask for. Manager never came by to explain the situation, apologize for the delay, or do anything to actually make it right. Food, when it finally arrived, was meh. Would not recommend.

4 of us went and we ALL totally enjoyed our food! My chicken tacos advertised guac on them but there was absolutely none...guess the cook forgot....having said that, they were still delicious and plenty big!! Sad thing was there was only ONE server in the whole place-no bartender. This awesome gal was running her butt off and doing a great job but ridiculous and very unfair to her. I saw people come and leave the bar area because of no bartender and they didnt want to wait. Sad.

A fresh and comfortable sports bar. The nachos for botanero and nothing more. The fish tacos ($17) are tasty and a good portion, but dont expect coastal Mexican seasoning haha, however, they are worth it. The fish and chips ($18) highly recommended. It has shared parking with the hotel next door. Many TVs to watch sports and music, a little bit of everything.

I had the 7oz Top Serloin and it was perfect. An excellent crust to a perfectly cooked steak. Wish we lived in Thunder Bay to visit this restaurant on a regular basis.

Best burger in Thunder Bay!

My burger was cold. They sent it back to heat it up. They microwaved it and I couldn t pick it u for 3 minutes it was that hot. Tasted like garbage. Never again.

Conveniently located beside the Holiday Inn. We walked over after a long travel day. Highly recommend the fish taco.

Love family owned restaurants !! Its got an interesting take on so many mesls and not just cisco ordered meals . The staff looks like they like to be there and not just told what to say . Prices are very fair and drink specials are great . They definately dont mind changing to what you want !! Love this place !!

Not impressed at all --- x3. This establishment may have once been a great place to dine; but not on my watch. Food tasted below average. At lunch, we asked to substitute soup for fries and were not told it cost extra on top of the menu price. We paid for the fries and the soup. The burger was cold in the middle and I requested no onions on my burger; yet they served me soup full of onions. No warning. Another time we waited over 40 minutes for a drink. The new person kept bringing the wrong thing. Palm Breeze and Coke; smh, how hard is that to mix. I asked the owner at the bar if he would fill our drink order and he brushed me off. We walked out. I wont ever drop another cent in that greedy arrogant owners hands.

Worst experience of my life at a restaurant. Server spilled drinks down my father in laws back. Orders were taken incorrectly and when pointed out was told by the chef I didnt make this so I dont know ... Manager told me I was lucky to be getting a refund. Well my friends, Word of mouth goes a long way in a small city and you should highly reconsider your management team. When someone has a medical reason to not order spices you dont explain how your husband has the same issue but hes fine. Embarrassing.

First time for dinner. Server, Darryl, was attentive and friendly. Roadhouse atmosphere but better value than Caseys and Kelseys.

Ordered the chicken, ribs, steak, and chicken wings. Chicken was extremely dry with rubbery skin, although the barbecue sauce had a pretty good flavor. Pork ribs were okay a bit tough and they also dont remove the sheath from the back of the ribs, thumbs down. Steak was super good as were the mashed potatoes. Wings were good too.

We were a group of 14, and the single server did a great job keeping us in food and drink. Food was tasty and hot, except for the steaks our party ordered. They were tough and for the price, not worth it. The server did make a 2nd steak for one of the guests. The burgers were huge and tasty. The salads were fresh and crisp. The sandwiches and chicken tacos were all good.

My first visit to Mikes Roadhouse was a huge delight. We reserved a table (for 8) ahead so we were welcomed and seated immediately. The service was professional, friendly and full of graceful personality. Our waitress new the menu and had great recommendations. Atmosphere is open exhibiting bar style and Roadhouse eatery as the name suggests. There is a patio available for summer dining. The food was fresh and flavorful and presentation was pleasant. I found the price per plate actually low for the value of ghe food and portions. I give Mikes Roadhouse a high recommendation for family, friends, groups and/or a date night. Full flair and fare. Two thumbs up

Service was friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is quite clean. My chicken club was not good at all. There as only leaf of green lettuce on the sandwich which wilted once it was placed against the warm chicken and bacon. Also, a Club should never have cheese. This one did and they called it cheddar thought it was the plastic, processed variety. The ciabatta bun was not rosemary per the menu and it was far too much bread for the amount of filling. Please dont mess with the classics. I was too afraid to order a cocktail for fear it would come out of a drink mix rather than made fresh. There are no vegetarian mains and the only fish option is fried (other than the shrimp option to add to salad). Everything is fried or bery heavy. This menu is super 1990s. Best burgers in town--best service in town, too. If you want a good meal for a reasonable price, in a great place, this is it!

I was in Thunder Bay for a very limited amount of time. Mike road house was in the same parking lot as the hotel I was in and for 3 nights Evelyn V, really helped make the time really enjoyable, she joined and chatted with my table and made the time awesome.

Evelyn has been an awesome server to us for the past 3 times Ive been here with my work posse! Shes great to talk to, and punctual with our drinks and food! Speaking of which, the food is very nice, too! A mix of your regular Americanized food with some odd tweaks thrown in. My goto is the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Thanks for putting up with 3 of us crazy guys!

Its a locally owned sports bar. The food is good, the staff are friendly and there are tv screens everywhere. Did I say it was locally owned? Support local.

Do not waste your time coming to Mikes Roadhouse. After being seated, we waited 10 to 15 minutes without any service. Hostess passby a few times to seat new guests, while we are trying to get her attention along with the waitress. New guests were already greated while we are still waiting. We ended walking out and getting better service and food at Applebees.

Always down for the Buffalo chicken wrap.

Today I ordered takeout from Mike s Roadhouse, and it was delicious. I will definitely eat there again. The staff was very polite and kind, 5 stars.

Loved the haddock. Had tv in the booths. Awesome. Prices were decent. Menu looked fairly extensive. I dont know what the waitress was talking about killing turtles was all about. Im half deaf in one ear but it was funny either way. Would definitely come here again. Food

After work dinner after the lady had blood work and I was working so after her appointment she came to see me at work so I could take her for some noms and stuff.

This was our first visit there. Three of us tried the fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfect and very tasty. We all order the two piece instead of just one. Wow, when the platters came we couldnt believe how big the fish was. Way larger than what I have been served in other restaurants. We all took one piece home with us. The service was perfect and the waitress was friendly and professional. We will go there again.

June 16 2023 Came in late to Thunderbay because of construction delays today. Tired but the Roadhouse delivered. Lovely patio, clean not too crowded, good menu and prices and efficient pleasant service by server 311. Evelyn? Food Fish Tacos & crispy chicken salad, were VERY good. Thanks to Holiday Inn Express for the recommendation and Mikes for the food.

Mikes happened to be in the same parking lot as our hotel, and Im so happy it was. Had Mikes twice, once sit in and once take out. Had something different each time, and it did not disappoint. Burgers were amazing and could have ate there each night of our stay

Drink service a bit slow due to all the thirsty drunks and only one bartender. Food was served fast though and above average quality. Waitress friendly.

Had the Poutine it was very tasty. Shredded cheese not curds but that was fine.

Absolutely made me sick to my stomach. Disgusting! They served rotten food to me and wife. When shown to waitress she returned the rotten food to kitchen. The kitchen cut off the bad parts and reserved the same food again. My wife and I lost all appetite. When speaking to manager (Margaret) she didnt satisfactorily resolve or stand behind the disgusting food and offered $5 off when 90% of meal was left behind. Gross, unprofessional, disgusting and would warn ppl of my experience there. Im very disturbed, and disgusted at this operation. Gross, I feel sick to my stomach and will never, never go back. Im gonna puke!!! !!! I would give zero stars but cant!!!

Steak was nice and it was exactly what i asked for the packaging was really nice and clean. However the sauce which has been used in the beans was not very delicious and the baked potato was a little bit raw and tastes like a raw potato. However the main dish and packaging was perfect.

Waiter wasnt bad, wait Time was crazy long when there was next to noone there. Do not order their lunch specials like its a deal. They make you buy a minimum 2$ drink which raises it to normal price and if you get pop its $1 more then the meal itself so its not a deal especially if you dont drink pop. Fries were good, burger was ok. Feel like it was better as shoeless Joes. Just go to a local mom and pop shop, you will have a better experience.

Met up with friends for a couple of drinks. Pricing was fair and our server was friendly. It was quiet as it was a Wednesday night. My friends, staying at the nearby Towne place Suites, had a hotel-issued coupon for a free app which they used for deep fried pickles. (Choice limited to 1 of 3 items). Although I didnt try them, my friends seemed to enjoy them. Overall, it was a pleasant evening spent in a quiet booth with friends. Parking: Parking is shared with the Holiday Inn. Convenient if youre staying at the hotel. The lot is small but parking was easy to find.

What a great place to watch the game with family and friends. Many tvs, even tvs at the tables. Lots of great menu options. Recommended by front desk staff at the hotel we were happy with this recommendation. It was Halloween and the staff were dressed up, I liked this added touch, shows they have a great sense of humour and enjoy their jobs (or appeared to). Parking: We loved that this restaurant parking lot connects to the hotel parking lot so we didnt have to get back in the truck and drive. After a 12 hour drive the last thing we wanted to do was drive more.

Great spot to eat. Food was really good, a variety of options. Good quantity and quality for price point. Service was good, a bit slow even though it was not overly busy. Atmosphere was great. We had to sit at a high top as part of the restaurant was not open for seating which I found a bit odd. They sat a couple with a baby in a high chair at an elevated booth and gave a crayon and paper but the child could not see the top of the table because of the elevation the child s top of head was just under the table

Stopped in for lunch, its basically a sports bar but much quieter for lunch. Service was really good being we only saw one waitress, she was very attentive. Food was good and generous portions. Clean and spacious, lots of seating.

Sometimes it takes a lot of time to eat. In a hurry? Skip this opportunity. Time to enjoy, the staff will demonstrate a largely proficient and productive side in a few days.

Be careful Enjoy a free appetizer... coupon... in the fine print that isnt true.. completely It is a choice of 3 appetizers in small font at the bottom of the coupon. When I told the server I wanted to use the coupon and I ordered more than $40 of food which you need to do .. I then chose something that wasnt on the coupon (which I didnt know) and wasnt told that wouldnt be free. At the end of the mean they wouldnt comp it... says They are sorry They cant do it... Even after I explained... They arent sorry and this coupon is something of a mis-leading advertising.

Service was unbelievably poor. We got seated but waited more than a half hr for someone to come. No one came so i went inside to order our drinks and get a menu. Patio had 5 tables and 2 servers. Of which i had to keep getting up from my table to get some service. These ladies were just standing inside standing around chatting

I really had hopes this place would have better food than the previous Shoeless Joes that was here. Unfortunately, it doesnt. The burgers are not much better than what youd find at a fast food joint. And the ribs are atrocious. Theyre small and taste just like a McRib. Next thing to try is the fish and chips, which I hope are good as they looked good and was recommended by one of the servers. The only redeeming quality here is the service. Been here plenty of times and never had a bad experience. The servers and hostesses are always courteous and will check up on things regularly without being overwhelming. Ill be back and I hope the food gets better.

We ate at Mike s last night to celebrate a birthday. Service was good, table good for conversation. Three out of Five us us enjoyed their meals. My friend and I ordered the fettuccine with shrimp. Shrimp were fine but the fettuccine sauce had no taste. I ate the shrimp and only a few bites of the pasta. Our server did not ask how our meals were. Very disappointed.

Great Food.... Service not so much Here on a business trip and came twice during my stay. First time it started well but by the middle and end we felt like there were more important things like talking to the hostesses. The waitress wasnt very personable, did check on us for re-drinks till the end of our meal and when she brought the bill she did even ask if we needed the machine. As we got up to approach her she told us to have a good night and we could of just walked out and not paid (we paid fyi) lol Second attempt again the food was amazing, but again was late on checking up, had to get the hostesses attention so I could get sault and pepper, when telling me sides she did explain that sweet potatoes were actually fries. Again we all have off nights but theres a bit of a pattern here. Hope they can get some training in :) like I said the food was solid. Cheers

Passing through and looking for a local place to try. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

Great experience all around. In my two visits I had 1. Cheeseburger which was fine and not too big (which happens too often these days where restaurants think we should all be eating for two) and at $13 (with fries) is priced right. 2. Ribs - it was half off so took them up on the offer and they were very good. 3. Beet salad - so good I had it both times and so big I took home the leftovers and had them the next night. Beer - tried two excellent local brews. Service - outstanding, both times. Its also a nice-looking, modern and airy space. Glad also to have found out this is not a chain and there really is a Mike! Nice work, Mike.

After three weeks on the road and headed home one of our last stops was hotel located beside Mikes (Holiday Inn Express). We walked over and had an exceptional patio experience. Server super friendly and knowledgeable. Pointed out the best dinners, which were exceptional. We were very pleased and can honestly say one of best meals we enjoyed on the trip which included stops in Jasper and Banff. Really enjoyed our meal and the experience.

Ordered off skip, food was good. But they gave me beer that expired in February. Its July. Check your guinnesse beers.

Ordered for take out. New York steak, ordered medium rare. Was more med well and had no seasoning, just char from the grill. My boyfriend ordered buffalo chicken quesadilla, it was dry bland and more tortilla shell than food. Overall super disappointing in all of it. Best thing was the soggy fries. spent a decent amount of money to not even have more than 5 bites.

I went here twice while visiting in Thunder Bay. The decor/atmosphere is amazing. They serve 34oz beer which was good and cold the Buffalo Butter wings were awesome, I had to have them a 2nd time. Stacey was my bartender/server, she was great, friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go again next time Im in Thunder Bay.

Decent pub with a very clean atmosphere. A very diverse menu not serving only pub food. Some good daily specials including $9.99 Schooners (34 oz) of beer! Only complaint is that they only have Franks Red Hot as their hot sauce (not a deal breaker, just some advice for owner).

Great service and nice patio with a really smart fence to keep out traffic noise and smell. The bacon Caesar isnt really all that great but the mozzarella sticks and nachos are. Fries are great too. Parking: Lots of parking at the adjacent hotel

Nice Decor

Ordered spicy pasta. It was not spicy at all. When requested to make it spicy they gave us siracha and denied any other option. The manager did not come to talk to us personally but conveyed through the server that they can not do anything. Worst place ever. We paid for the food we did not even eat. Not recommended. If mentioning any food spicy THEN MENTION WHAT KIND OF SPICY!! I will never go there again nor recommend any of my known to go!!

My husband and I stopped by for some drinks and appetizers. We had a really nice time. The service was great and the fish tacos were delicious. The spinach and artichoke dip comes with two different chips to dip and it was yummy!

Save your money and eat anywhere else but here! Waited over an hour to get my food for take out when I was told it would only take 30 minutes. When I got back to my hotel room I opened the takeout bags to discover the chips were missing from my order of Fish and chips and the food was really cold. So I called the restaurant and explained my situation how I drove all day, went to order, waited for an hour for my food and asked nicely if they could deliver the chips and they said no they were too busy. So I asked to speak to the manager and turns out I was speaking to the rude manager. The best she said she could do was meet me in the parking lot with the chips. Pfft for their mistake no. The management here is just as poor as it s food.

Waited atleast 45min for the food. The food was at best average nothing much to it. The food is not worth the wait. Worth a try but your time is better spent at another restaurant

Food was really good. Burger was on special on Sunday. Burger was fresh and juicy, sauce was delicious and pepper bacon so good. Would definitely eat here again .

I had high expectations but I left deflated. The ambiance was nice, service was good but the food wasnt all that.

Ordered a chicken alfredo and it was terrible. The sauce was ceasar dressing.. Ive never tasted alfredo made like that.. first and last time going.. wasted 20 bucks to throw it out.

Pop was completely flat. Server first brought out 1 just appy out of 4 ordered between 4 people rather bringing them out together: With no plates, Napkins or utensils. Couldn t get ahold of her for about 10m after so had to go to an empty table to take its napkins/Utensils: chicken strips were just doused in franks hot sauce otherwise flavourless and dull. Onion rings were not cooked inside. Would not go there again.

Excellent customer service. Wings were great. Felt good to be out and about amid a pandemic that has kept us all home. The place was full to capacity and the laughter and noise was welcomed. Will likely go back for supper and bevvies tomorrow! Oh lost a star cuz they dont out bacon bits in a Cesar salad. Is it actually a Cesar salad if it doesnt have bacon?
