I was very impressed with the customer service and quality of the food. Secondly, the restaurant is very clean, bright and modern. It’s so nice to have such a great addition to our local business's. I get orders from here for my crews at the lodge as well as personally. There are so many great restaurants to choose from in this town and this one is always my go to for Chinese cuisine. The food was absolutely unreal. The oil the food was cooked in was clean and amazing. It’s awesome. The service was amazing. The price is on par with the quality, definitely worth it. The atmosphere wasn’t amazing, we opted to eat at home. Honestly this might be the best place in town to get Chinese food. It’s 5/5. What a great restaurant for takeout.
I had an incredible experience at Ngan’s Chinese in Thunder Bay. The vibe in the restaurant is fantastic—clean, modern, and with a cute, welcoming atmosphere. The bar was well-stocked with a great selection, and the prices were very reasonable. As for the food, it was simply amazing—fresh, vibrant, and full of that delicious home-cooked flavor that made every bite a delight. The service was outstanding, with two lovely waitresses this afternoon who were attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Ordered take out for my family of 5, friendly staff and ready on time. BEST Chinese I have ever had in this city. Bon Bons so flavourful and meat was tender. Beef and greens were excellent and fried rice was great. I will not be ordering anywhere else from now on.
Friendly staff brought a smile to my face and the speed of the food coming out was incredible. For the price, the portion size is amazing, hot and delicious. Will definitely be returning for the smiles, the jokes and the quality food. Thank you!

Way to go Westfort supporting local! The food was hot and ready. Yes there was a bit of a wait time because they just opened today and the flood gates opened! The ladies sure earned a toast tonight and deserve to kick up their heels I think the grand opening was a success!
Ordered dinner for 2 but they forgot the rice. Blah. Called and didnt even apologize just sounded snobby. Lol

Normally, Ngan is our go-to for Chinese. Never a complaint. We have always been a fan (Mr Chinese as well). Last night, not so much. Ngan was VERY busy. They had a couple of mixed up orders but that happens occasionally. I was given my takeout order and drove home (5 minute drive). Unfortunately our food was cold (actually had to microwave it which made it gross) and we had no sauces in the bag (soya or plum) for the rice & egg rolls. Plus, no fortune cookies were included either. What happened last night?? We reached out privately via facebook before posting here but received no reply. Maybe it s time to take a break until things settle down at Ngan. $60 is too much to spend on food that isn t good. This isn t like them.

Food was delicious and satisfied the Chinese food craving with reasonable portions however the rice could have had more flavor and the beef and greens had a bit of a fishy taste which I did not favor. Service was excellent very polite and kind staff who took the time to give me my order although they were extremely busy. Ngans is a perfect addition to the westfort village and thunder bay community.
Went to the beautiful place for dinner and had a really great experience. From the reception to the server they were super awesome in treating their customers. Food was the best part. Very reasonable price which comes in good size portions. Could have done better with the cooling inside the restaurant.
Didnt ask us how our meal was didnt ask for drink refills had no flavor and there shrimp made me so sick I couldnt stop puking Vegetarian options: No flavor

Not happy with this place...placed an order last nite at 6pm . Did not get order. Told them to call when here, never did. My phone records prove that . Called them today to find out what happened , they were very rude to me on the phone , said dont want my business. They hung up on me. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL FOR A NEW BUSINESS. I RECOMEND THIS PLACE NOOO GOOD.
Walked in the door to see familiar friendly faces. They are experienced restaurantateurs which reflected in how good my food was, hot and tasty. Service was great too. So nice to see you on the south side of Westfort. Congratulations! Vegetarian options: options on the menu, tofu, stir frys with vegetables etc. Parking: plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: no stairs
