East Indian Fast Food Restaurant
Horrible experience already 2-3 times. Couple of times the food was served cold wasn't really even as described. Schezwan rice with Manchurian was actually served without Manchurian even after the given instructions. One time had to wait for over 45 mins for a simple dish just because the server took the order and then forgot it later. As if all this wasn't enough, the last time I visited the restaurant they served us Malai Kofta with the slight wrapper of butter in it. Seriously!? How can you guys be so irresponsible? Done with this place, never coming back, never gonna recommend it to anybody else in wild dreams even!!!
They don't follow any instructions. Always messed-up my online as well as dine in order. Chef should resign! Worst taste.
I recently dinned at royal paan and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. From the start, it was clear the restaurant was understaffed, with only one waitress managing all the tables. Once we were finally served, we struggled to get her attention for additional requests, as she was overwhelmed and slow to respond. The quality of the food added to the disappointment—several dishes came out undercooked and lacked the flavor and freshness we expected. Despite the friendly atmosphere, these issues overshadowed any positives, leaving me and my companions unsatisfied with the overall experience.
I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I ordered a vegetarian meal, but was shocked when I was served chicken instead. As someone who follows a strict vegetarian diet, this was not only frustrating but completely unacceptable. It showed a lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer preferences. This incident really ruined my dining experience, and I won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone looking for reliable vegetarian options. Please improve your service and double-check orders in the future
Been here twice now and it has been amazing. The dosa and the naan breads are delicious.their dipping sauces are very good too. The staff is very helpful in introducing new dishes. Food comes out quickly, hot and very yummy. We high recommend this place for authentic flavourful food.
Was going to Winnipeg from Toronto stopped here for the dinner and the food didn’t disappoint at all. Winnipeg had so many restaurants they need to learn a few things from the chefs. Appetizers, main course and dessert were so good. Had a great time there, give it a try.
Tasty food, really good service. Reasonable rates. Would definitely go back for more. We tried the sada dosa, Masala dosa, Chilli cheese dosa and malai Kofta and Naan. The dosa batter couldve been fermented slightly more but still pretty good. They've got really good options for Lassi and paan which taste good.
Great atmosphere and server was the best, I’ve ordered masala dosa for 2 people, the chutney that came with dosa was disgusting and dosa was too thin (even in the middle ) , they are faking the real south indian food
a real treat! went for lunch. Had help making choices as the menu items are largely unfamiliar. We ordered: Amritsari Masala Dosa (excellent), Chicken Tikka Masala (awesome), Garlic Naan(delecious) Steam rice and Mango Falooda for dessert (yumm). Service was prompt and friendly.
Best tea
Ordered steamed Idli, dosa, lamb curry rice bowl and chat papri from a food delivery app The white chutney provided with Idli and dosa was stale and stinky with bubbles in it! Totally unacceptable! The lamb curry rice bowl, the portion was great but it also tasted awful and the rice part was all watery! Chat papri was good. The restaurant needs to serve fresh food..
Served uncooked roti and naan. Had a stomach ache next day.
Food quality is very bad too much oily burger and worst taste and smell as well.
Expensive
Service is not good. Every time we visit there they just serve their food and never come back to ask if we need anything else. No water, no napkins, no add-on just eat and meet them at the cashier counter.
Great service Niran
I have invited my family for birthday treat at Royal Paan, but didn t enjoyed my meal. The Biryani was tasteless. I usually go to Royal Paan but this time it was not worth, my evening was spoiled. I regretted going there.
Vegetarian options: Masala Dosa is best at ROYAL PAAN. It s yummy, delicious and affordable to eat. It makes your stomach full. Recommended dishes
The food is the worst !!!!!!! The quality of the food is so bad I have ordered chicken and other stuff several times and the chicken tasted like it was about to go bad or has already gone bad. The food takes forever to come to the table and also the staff is also mean , and when asked for take out boxes they gave us aluminum foil to pack it up !!!!! How ridiculous is that!!!!!! Would never recommend this place ever !!!!!!
Very bad service ive ordered twice but, both the time i didnt received the main orders, its very poor never gona order from this resturant and will also tell my closed one to not go there or order from there, they dont have any sense of responsibility
We had a great experience here. Nirav and Keval took care of us and checked on us the entire time we were there. They are so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing. I recommend aloo parantha , which was super yummy .
Had an Amazing experience quick and prompt service. Nirav and his team serving were friendly and courteous. Chef made sure the Sesh platter was sizzling and delicious Goat curry reminded me of local Indian food. Will visit again soon. Appreciate the whole team for the great time. Food
We ordered and the food was ready as promised, Nirav was great. And the food was fantastic! Will definitely be returning! Thanks again!
I ordered food this place and i got a plastic and soil from the food
First of all, I want to say that this experience was a 10/10. But lets start from the beginning. The whole restaurant was very clean and we were greeted by a very nice waiter. After we sat down at the table we almost immediately got water. After we had ordered, it was only a very short time until the food arrived. The service was very accommodating. The waiter frequently checked in with us and asked if everything was fine, which it was. Now the food. I have never had Naan this delicious. It was so fluffy and soft. I had ordered the Butter Paneer Masala and it was so incredibly flavorful and rich. The portion sizes were so filling and perfect to share. The cheese in my dish was so buttery and creamy, if you are vegetarian this is a big recommendation. The chicken would melt on your tongue because of how good and well cooked it was. The level of spice was maybe a little but too high but definitely perfect for those who like it a little hotter. All in all I really enjoyed the meal and would totally come back and try more of the menu.
Its an overdue review. We had amazing food there.Service was fantastic and quick. Niray and Niket attitude was great and welcoming. They served us in the best way. Would highly recommend.
Worst experience. Food is awful Dont waste your money here. Food
We had a great experience, also the customer service was good Nirav treat us well and let us choose the food in a perfect manner. Thank you
It s not only about the taste or thé interior of a restaurant that gives a good value, i waited for a long hour to get my plain 2 dosa(take away) . Only after enquiring why it s taking so long, they ve started making the food Very very disappointing worst food, just frozen kebabs and taste less masala fries with lime made my dining experience worse. Also with dhal makhni rice bowl which was absolutely tasteless.
14$ for like 3 ounce of chicken. Taste was good but disappointing nonetheless
Service was amazing there and nirav did a good job with all of our order
Me and my brother ordered Mysore Dosa and Vada with a lemonade. The Mysorr Dosa was not bad but the Vada was very greasy. I could take the old oil in the food. The server said the lemonade is just fresh lemonade but not sure what they added in it, it smelled like rotten eggs and tasted disgusting. We asked them to please remake it which they did. The 3rd time the chef came and asked what we would like it this fresh lemonade. We explained just lemon, club soda and sugar. But I think they forgot to put the lemon and sugar in the lemonade. It tastes like club soda. I give up. I would recommend going here. There is much better options for Indian food around town. This is just not it.
Customer service is very bad.Employees are making faces when we are asking for service. Naan was burn and when we ask to change them the server made faces as of it s our fault. We used to visit royal pan but next time because of this type of service we will not be coming back for sure.
Kathi roll is my fav thing to have but they are using tortillas instead of actual butter bread .. like all others locations in GTA
Nirav made the best paan.
The food is amazing no doubt. My husband and I love the fresh naan and Dosa. The reason for the low rating is mostly related to the service. ->Upon entering the restaurant, staff never smile, say hello or greet customers. You never know the servers name and they dont make you feel welcome. -> The staff never take you to the table. They will point at the table number and expect you to help yourself. ->The food is never served in ordered. You would assume the drinks come first, then appetizers followed by main course. But everytime we have gone, the main course comes first followed by appetizer and then drinks. I have been a customer since they opened and have been hoping the service would change for the better. In the few times we have tried to go in thinking the service might have improved, but I always feel dissappointed. This place has potentional, all they need to do is train their staff in customer service. Being an Indian restaurant I would assume they would follow the motto Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest is god) , but it seems like they dont care. I would recommed the food from here but for take out.
Not a single time out of 3, that the quality of food was good it s never fresh I gave 3 attempts as it s closest to work but I give up now.
I would give it 4 of 5. First of all mostly for their ambience. Restaurant has great ambience it reminds me of the good Indian restaurant, second they do surely have many items, and I like many of them but some were okay, not every item was up to mark, food was good but not best. And third they need to improve on service, because that s where mostly people get disappointed.
Really good excellent monish the server right there was really good served us perfectly with everything came and gave us everything on time should really come here always
Ordered butter paneer and the taste was
Ordered shahi paneer and they gave me tomato soup with 5-6 pieces of paneer in it. totally waste of money
Worst service only 1 person is working around to serve take bill almost there are 8 table full and only 1 person and it s taking a lot of time and bad service he alone can t handle it there should be more staff and owner should look after service. very bad experience.
Monish was really good with his customer service. The food was nice I would come back soon. Food : 5/5
Wow! I had the most delightful dining experience tonight, and it was all thanks to the outstanding service provided by MONISH, our waiter extraordinaire! From the moment we walked in, MONISH greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. His genuine hospitality and impeccable attention to detail truly set the tone for the evening. Throughout the meal, MONISH went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. He expertly guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations and catering to our preferences with precision. THANK YOU SO MUCH MONISH! I would definitely come again because of you!
We were seated right away. The lady who served us was very nice and friendly as was other staff. We had the butter chicken, spring rolls, paneer pahkora, and the garlic Naan with rice. Everything was delicious, pretty filling but wanted to eat it all it was so good! Would definitely go back.
Worst place to be. You order something it will be trash and not what u will expect. given below is the photo of sambhar which i got from royal paan. Un cooked food. Positively do not go, might get food poisoning.
Food was very good! Specially tandoori was very good. Very well cooked and proper flavour.
I must say it s one of the best restaurant in thunder bay ..food taste amazing presentation was awesome nd staff was so polite .gud job ..keep it up ..will definitely visit again
Omg ! This is what pavbhaji dosa should taste like ! Definitely going to visit this place again and again for vadapav and pavbhaji dosa. We visited around 3pm for lunch but also service was really good and quick We tried here many things but I loved pavbhaji dosa most !
Order on SkipTheDishes. Food was absolutely disgusting. I would suggest everyone to eat from somewhere else. I have literally tried giving this place so many chances but every time it messes up everything.
This place has no respect for customers. We ordered food from this place via a delivery app, and we had to throw out all the food. The dahi in dahi bhalla was stale and stinking. The dosa filling as a joke. The paneer bhurji dosa had less than one spoon of filling in entire dosa. Dosa was also very cold, wrapped in foil, you expect it to be at least a bit warm, it was colder than Canadian winter. Very disappointed in this place. This was third and last time we gave this place a try. Do yourself a favour and find some other good restaurant.
Food and service was amazing Love it Highly recommended Food : 5/5
Place should be condemned I went back in the kitchen and was horrified at what I saw ...DONT EAT HERE
Terrible service by receptionist i have got from your restaurant. Everyone saying different price for one item whatever they are selling on receptionist counter and no any sense to talk with consumer.
Food is okey. The chutney for the dosa tastes like weeks old and very bad smell. Told the waiter and offer for a replacement but never came back until we left the restaurant. He could have tell us if not available instead of making us waiting for nothing. Their toilet smells too bad and I felt to vomit. Lost all appetite after going to wash my hands before food. Looks like never clean the washrooms. Always the waste bin overflows...If you are keeping the the public area like this then how can we expect your kitchen is following the hygiene?? They cant even afford menu . Just one qr code near table instead of two... Who manage this restaurant??????? I was suggesting you guys to others but the quality going down in few months. Will never recommend to anyone
Service is bad. Takes too long for someone to take order. Bathroom is gross. Very dirty.
I ordered through Skip the Dishes. The Aloo Gobi was ok but far from the best I have had. The masala chai tasted like plain tea, the Pav Bhaji was awful and I could not eat it (I have not had before so that could be a personal taste, although I have never eaten an Indian dish in past I have not liked) but it was also supposed to come on Indian bread and it came in hamburger bun. So overall, compared to other Indian restaurants in Thunder Bay, I will definitely not order from them again.
Went there for dining, one of the best Indian food in Thunder Bay. Server was so friendly and loved the hospitality I think her name was Gayu.
I few times had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Indian restaurant. The Kashmir chai was a delightful blend of flavors, and the samosas were a perfect combination of crispy and flavorful. The friendly service added a personal touch, and the inviting atmosphere created a memorable dining experience. I absolutely love the vibe in there a must-visit for anyone who appreciates delicious food and a warm ambiance!
Food was good and delicious.
Great place to taste Indian foods. Service was superb. Highly recommended
The food is awesome specially chicken biriyani and seesh kebab. Highly recommended.
In foods, mainly Mysore masala dosa and veg biriyani are very delicious and the customer service is amazing.
Most awaited Idli and Mehdu Vada is back now. Thanks for bringing this back to the menu. Its mouth watering delicious. Thanks Gaya for your hospitality
My obsoletely favorite Indian restaurant. Usually I order take out, but we ve decided to dine in. It was a great experience. The food is excellent Service was superb There are quite a few Indian restaurants in thunder bay,but this one is the first on my list
I tried tandoori chicken from royal Paan, and the taste is great. The girls name is Gayayu. They are very hospitable. She suggested me to try another dish and it was very good in taste I love that dish medu Vada. Food
I recently visited Royal Paan and tried their famous Mysore Masala Dosa and it was simply amazing! The dosa was crispy and the filling of spiced potatoes was delicious. The sambar and chutney served alongside added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this dish to anyone visiting Royal Paan. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. A must-try for all dosa lovers!
Great Ambience and delicious food
please change your business timings, it says you guys are open till 11 pm but was closed at 10 and try to update your contact number, ive been trying to reach you guys for a while.
Overall experience was bad. Table was not clean. We ordered 4 things. 1.Dahi bhalla - 1 star out of 5 stars 2.Papadi chat - dahi was Khatta. No sweet chutney in it. It feels like you are eating dahi and papadi. 3. Noddles was good 4. Panner chilli - panner was so soft and overall this was delicious. We also ordered kulfhi and kalkati paan. Kulfhi was not sweet enough and don t try paan at all. They don t know how to make a paan. My friend ordered a kalkati paan. The paan was only having sweet coloured fennel. Coming to price - I feel overall they are costly. I have tried many Royal paan locations but after Winnipeg this was the worst experience in terms of food taste and price point.
One of the best Indian restaurant in thunderbay
We all friends went there by 8:30 to dine in and they locked the doors not allowed to go inside their closing time is 11pm and then also at 8:30 they said we are closed. Very poor management also the staff was not listening anything. Didn t even take our orders for take out at 9. This is not how restaurants business works. They really need to improve their management.
Bad Management and bad service.! The food was okay but compare to other royal paan its bad a experience.
Nice experience, get to get some variety in the city with South Indian food. Overall: Recommended. Dietary restrictions: Good for people with IBS and Loctose Intolerance.
Amazing food and great service. Their Amritsari kulchas are a must try. Very soft and authentic.
Bad customer service. Not the first royal paan I went to, but so far this was the worst. Food was ok but still the worst royal paan yet.
Great Food and Ambience
Great food !!!
Great food!
delicious food .. amazing staff
Worst service and food... I dont understand..why they are adding tips by themselves.. without even asking... abysmal food and service.
Very bad experience. Received cold food with very less quantity, and prices are very high. Be aware of tip system, they directly add 18% service tip automatically. Must check the bill before paying.
Overall experience is worst, very poor management. The food was ok, other items were cold!! Uttapam was half cooked! The severs didn t responded properly! They add gratuity (18 %) to small groups too and also donot provide bill, have to ask for it!! Make sure to check the bill before payment
Cold food and not worthy the price.not going back again ever!!
Food tastes good but it is not consistent. I m editing my review because my last visit was not as expected. Food was tasty but cold and watery.
Overall a very disappointing experience, waited for ever for every meal. The food got cold. Order shezwan noodles and paneer shezwan and a lot more. Both Manchurian and paneer were rock solid salty and vinegar taste it. Mysore dosa wasnt even crispy and was sweet. Spent around $160+ and wasnt worth it expect the pani puri was worth it. Wouldnt be going there again.
Welcome to Thunder Bay, Royal Paan Punjabi restaurant. Excellent food, great location to grow, however, there is an opportunity to improve on service side. Reading people comments on Gratuity not being explained upfront, my opinion is it should be explicit by restaurant but it s also customers job to look at the bill before you pay.
very good panipuri taste is so good that i always prefer to come here rather than going anywhere else !!!
Most delicious fast food in Thunder Bay.And all the chatts and pani puri items are amazing.
No no no,,,,,, not a great experience for sure. Most of the items in menu were not available. Management was below pathetic situation.(some 1 has to take lead, need good front manager). Tried bombay burger, sandwich, Manchurian, samosa chaat. Bombay sandwich was good, bombay Burger taste was good but the Patti was 1/3 the size of buns thats really sad part about it. Samosa chaat nd Manchurian were awful. I have strong feeling that the patti and Manchurian ball were used in dishes were frozen. If thats the case.. thats really BAD. I was hyped about this place but really upset, i will surely give this place another try since we dont have lot of options here in city. I saw people are complaining about price but we should understand that we are living in rural area, transportation is huge problem. So should not compare price with Winnipeg outlets and southern Ontario ones.
The service at this restaurant is pathetic. The staff is horrible. They don t know how to deal with customers. They don t know how to communicate with customers. They don t know how to handle the customers at all. They ll serve you food but no plates. No cutlery. When we ask for the plates and cutlery, they ll make rude face. Lot of improvements and staff change is required. Thank you. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian food requires more taste check before serving to the customers.
Very poor and pathetic customer service. No mannerism to talk to a customer and how to greet them.
Well! Waited for 20minutes to get burnt naan bread!! Not even a single serving was good. It was so charred that I had to throw them off in the dust bin!!!! I ve never threw food out this way but this was so bad that I had to. Not even going to bother to ask for a refund or a remake. Just plain disappointed.. Disappointed.
Taste of food is awesome....must visit once ......
Food was amazing. A place with great ambience along with tasty food. Overall experience was fantastic to dine in with friends and family.
Amazing service and even better food. We really enjoyed everything. For being my first time trying indian cuisine, i really loved it. If you are looking for different flavors and amazing drinks, this is the right place! Totally worth it!.. Is absolutely exquisite!
Loved the place, food is nice. Nice ambient! And thanks for bringing PAAN! Just had one after 1.5yrs! Just one suggestions dont increase the price please! Love you and wish you guys all the very best!!!
Eat vada paav after so long, loved Indian taste in every dish. Addicted to their milkshake, and royal paan faluda is a must try, ambience and location on point.
Yummy food, good ambience, good customer service.and Amritsari kulcha must try. Overall experience great. Would like to visit again.
Never going to order from this place again it was second time. I got food that was not cooked properly.
Chatt menu is awesome and delicious. Especially the samosa chatt connect me to my home town food. Must try once highly recommended.
Quality of food is good and hygenic.. customer service is also good. Sitting arrangemennt is very comfortable and I felt Like I am in India. Masala dosa is the best item.
Good service and yummy food
Chaats were nice and good to see another Indian restaurant in town.
Would visit this Royal Paan again. Food was cold was not up to the mark. Wouldnt go this branch of Royal Paan again.
Vegetarian options: Its amazing
Delicious food....muhhhh
Wrost experience of my life. I will never gonna suggest to anyone. I went with my family. We ordered so many things, everything was so salty and we wait for our drinks almost more than half an hour. We spent $150, it wasn t worth at all.
They started great food in the first week. Then the food is not consistent in the taste. Tried Samosa chat, Dabeli, Manchurian, Faluda and Mysore Masala Dosa. The stuffing was awful and the Sambhar was stinking bad that it was outdated can t even take a sip. And the Chutney s were sore and had bad smell. Really pathetic food. Almost got food poisoning. Will never try again.
Visiting this outlet for the 3rd time in 2 months, to be honest, the standard dropped. Ordered chicken tandoori, chilly chicken, chicken vindaloo, chicken kadhai, butter nun, onion kulcha & falooda. The chicken in chilly chicken were not seasoned properly at all, and for chicken vindaloo and chicken kadhai I didn t know that : Chicken Kadhai + potato = Chicken vindaloo (I ain t kidding) .. Same taste for both the chicken dishes !!! Awful experience
Great service, great staff and great food!
Amazing and authentic taste better than other Indian restaurants in Thunder Bay
The food is worth the money and has decent taste for Thunder Bay. The drinks are outrageously pricey and has a artifical taste.
Poor service only 1 server between 10 table. Manager was doing nothing just roaming around. Not a good experience at all.
Amazing food, amazing customer service. Best places to go in thunder bay!!!! Must have dosas Recommended dishes
3rd time in row, served cold food. Poor customer service
Food served is not fresh and Cold and when complained, they literally microwaved the food and gave it back. There service is not good either and the food is stale and served after just smothering the top with butter. The drinks as just bad. The franchise doesn t hold up its name.
Excellent food... Delicious goat curry n chicken curry Vegetarian options: Chat Kid-friendliness: Yes
Best place in thunder bay for south indian food, amazing food and great customer service.
Amazing food and great customer service.
Amazing experience dining in. Must visit
Food was great at the beginning, but very inconsistent later on. Sent ragda patties back for it wasnt fried, they took the one I sent back and fried one but not the other. Didnt even offered to take it out of the bill. I eat there all the time but its getting worse and worse every time. Probably not coming back. Sad cos it was actually a nice place to eat home cooked meals but not anymore.
Delicious food , better than any Indian restaurant in thunderbay. But they hired inexperienced staff and people complaining about their service . But i would give 5 out of 5 for food Vegetarian options: Handi paneer is best
The bad : Table was dirty were we were placed to sit , seems it wasnt cleaned from previous guest as crumbs and bits of food was left. The good : Food was delicious , lots of flavors!, good portions (even had leftovers to take home) , good service , they were attentive when taking orders as we were a group.Decent prices as well. Will return Would have gaven 5 stars if it wasnt for the uncleaned table
I ordered paneer Kathi roll, which has no paneer. Instead of paneer they put 3 chunks of tofu in it. Also, it was regular white wrap, not even a kathi roll. Second item was dahi-bhalla. It was dry, no dahi at all . Worst experience!
Food and place was really great. They have two menu to pickup on. There is both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Tried a lot of food. The atmospehere and inner design of the restaurant is really awesome. The servers were good and loved the service.
Nothing great about it..ordered maisor masala Dosa..was Crispy but potato filling was very blend without any spices..sambhar was served cold and coconut chutney was totally tasteless...they need to improve on quality of food not just ambience..
There is no consistency in the preparation of food.. some days its good and some days we dont even feel like going there anymore. They should learn how to make some dishes in an authentic way. We asked for tandoori chicken and the masala was not even cooked properly. We asked them whether they were able to do it well or cook for 5-10 minutes and they refused it and told us this is the best they can do. But on our first visit the tandoori we ordered was really good and that was the only time we got tandoori at its best there. Some people who works there are really good in their customer service. Appreciate it.
Worst place to have food in name of Indian food, spoiling the delicacy of Indian food definitely not recommended to visit ever again, food is expensive and not the worth of the spend, extreme poor quality food served
Loved the goat biriani. Served hot and the quantity was huge!
Quality and quantity of food is poor, ordered butter paneer masala and goat biryani what we spent on it & what we received was zero percent satisfaction just not the worth. Service is slow due to less staff maybe, tried this place 2nd time and failed as the first.
The food is amazing for the price, no doubt. The only reason for 3 stars is the service. Placing order and getting it is super fast, love it. But, once the food has arrived, no one comes to check on you. We needed water and take out boxes, took me around 20mins to get hold of a server :/
Terrible service Menu doesn t say the price for food That s ridiculous Terrible place to eat
Wonderful curry. Just enough spice.
Food was cold and sweet which is not even expected I never expected that Shahi paneer would be or can be sweet too and even there s one paneer piece in whole container disappointed!!! Zero quantity and quality as per its price!!
Worst experience ever
Papdi chaat was served in a bowl dipped with Dahi and chutney. It literally appeared like dal chawal. Paneer chilli didnt have a pinch of chilli(hotness) and was surprisingly SWEET. We left within minutes after the food was served.
Good place and nice service. Pani puri and dosa were good but pao bhaji (pao) were burger buns that had a load of butter. Could be more clean and also could have handwash in the washroom.
Food was good.
Tasty Indian food. Had Dosa after a long long time. Really great experience. Food
There is no consistency with the food quality! Initially they started well , but the food quality is not upto the mark now. Just visited yesterday, ordered Onion Masala Dosa. Dosa wasnt crispy, the coconut chutney and sambar was watery, the masala filling had no salt. After visiting Royal paan in GTA, our experience in Thunderbay Royal Paan is simply below the belt. Moreover, Royal Paan as the name suggests half of the time fails to keep Paan in store! Pan Masalas also, which they kept earlier is now out from their store for last 1 month. Owners please wake up!
Nice place and Good Service too. Food is also delicious.. Food : 5/5
One of the best Indian restaurant of Thunder bay , like their taste. They have authentic dishes with authentic taste Vegetarian options: Multiple veg options are available.
I ordered four dosa for takeout and one of them had a hair in it. The management should think more about implementing hygiene ways to cook like putting gloves and hairnet etc
There in house service is terrible.. Even when they have only 2 tables occupied. Not good at service. They have only 5 items available to eat and giving 2 menu cards.
I wish I had found Royal Paan much sooner during my extended stay in Thunder Bay! They have a huge menu and they are especially notable for their extensive choices of South Indian cuisine. Excellent prices for the quality and quantity provided. My food arrived so quickly after ordering, and it was so freshly made. Dosa is always a favourite of mine and I do judge a restaurant by their quality of dosa. It was massive, very crisp, plenty of filling, and the sambar was thick not watered-down. I will be returning very soon to try more items! Vegetarian options: Extremely vegetarian and vegan friendly. Plenty of choices. Parking: A large shared parking lot with the other businesses in this shopping centre. Kid-friendliness: I saw several families dining here with their children. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair lift from the entry vestibule up to the dining area. Looked very industrial grade and robust, I believe this building looks like a former Chinese buffet arrangement so they probably used to have a lot of customers with varying mobility needs.
We visited today and we ordered 1. two sets of Chole Bature and it was too crispy and tough.. 2. Lamb bowl,it got the taste of fish gravy and the pieces were too hard 3.Dosa: The curry in the Dosa was not properly cooked and it was same from last 3 times Food : 2/5 |
Royal paan was a great experience of Indian cuisine. I had famous 3-4 dishes of it as i was missing my home country food and the food tastes exactly same as it is supposed to be. The staff was good and the food quality was good too.
worst feeling ever..total waste of money...no taste..
We had dinner here tonight. The hot & sour soup was excellent. The chaat was pretty good too. For main course one of us has a Bombay veg sandwich and the other mixed veg paratha. Both were very good. My only critique is that they need to up their game with service. It is relatively new and certainly chefs are good. Since most of the serving staff is students, some guidance and mentorship will go a long way. Overall, we wouldnt mind coming back here.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing Indian food. The staff was really nice. must try!
I wish there is an option for ZERO stars as they dont even deserve ONE. Their food is awful not by taste only but health wise too. Hold on, will post pictures. (Dont forget to check latest) There was fungus on cucumber & lettuce in their burger. I have had this experience once in the past but never really posted. Last nyt I experienced again so thought of posting and making you all aware of ur health. Please watch before you purchase the sickness!
The tables were dirty, service was terrible. The menus are confusing, you scan two separate QR codes as it s two restaurants in one. They don t carry about half of the items listed on their menu, but don t mention that anywhere. After a very chaotic ordering process, the food we did receive was edible but not worth going back for. Some of it was hot, but it was mostly limp and cold, and it came out in stages- some people were finished eating their entrees before other entrees arrived.
Food is okay and their service is slow. Some dishes are terrible like the dabeli, Bombay chutney sandwich, vada pav, etc. Pani Puri, vegetable Manchurian and butter garlic masala dosa were good except for the masala in the masala dosa. The place is not crowded. Food
Worst food ever, ordered mysore dosa, rice and dal nothing was worth it, dont waste your money.
If any service have stars in minus i would give that for the punctuality Been waiting for 1 hours just to get paneer butter masala.
