Wacky's Thunder Bay in Thunder Bay

After ordering a burger with fries, a BLT sandwich with fries, a French onion soup with Greek chicken salad, a poutine and a Mac& Cheese dinner to go, We waited almost an hour to receive the above, also after my grandkids tried to play video games, they were told the system was down & out of order. The waiter gave us 10% refund off the bill, yet I will tell people to avoid this restaurant/gaming bar.

I have placed order of Antojitos & 6pc wings at midnight. When i came home, the wings were cold. When called the restaurant, The night manager started arguing about having a thermal bag. I dont know his name but he was very unprofessional and rude. He said he is not responsible for the food 10 mins after I ordered it. I was their regular customer, Will never order from this place again. Very disappointed

Girl at the front claimed my boyfriends id was fake and felt fake and claimed he looked different when he looked the exact same just a different haircut. we showed 2 other forms of id as well to prove it was real and that it was a government issued id. Train better lmao . don t have dumbasses working for u who can t tell a fake from a real form of identification.

The prices on everything are so outlandishly high especially considering the quality of the food is low and sloppily put together and embarrassingly small portions. The atmosphere could be better but everything is so crowded together you cant really enjoy it. The only saving grace in my opinion is that the staff are friendly and not overbearing like in most places, nobody likes having a server interrupting you mid mouthful of food every 2 minutes, thats not good service, thats annoying, and thankfully that isnt a problem here

I just finished a trip going to every Wacky Wings and this place was the perfect place to conclude my adventure!!!! The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly and were very quick, and HOLY COW the atmosphere is UNPARALLELED. This place is every bit as fantastic as it is massive! Kid-friendliness: Arcade is almost as big as the dinning area, if not bigger!

Last Friday I went to Wackys for the first time as I moved from Windsor. My server was Ayush I guess. His service was really amazing. The food received was steaming hot and fresh and we received it within 10-15 mins after ordering I guess. Amazing vibe and expierence overall. Cheers to you guys. Thanks to Wackys for great time.

Our waiter was Servana (I believe thats how you spell his name) was amazing! He was friendly and gave us his undivided attention. The food was wonderful! It was even good the next day for leftovers. Place rocks. I just dont like how the Sponge Bob and Wizard of ozz changed so you dont win as much. I dropped a lot of money on the games but wont be doing that again. I do love the restaurant and will definitely be back for UFC!! Aug 2024. Went in to cash in all my sponge Bob cards because they go rid of the games. Was told they are not honoring them anymore. I played out my last credits, gave my points away and wont go back. I know have a stack of sponge Bob cards to remind me not to go there again.

Restaurant was busy and understand its tough sometimes, but when we wait 30m just to get a table which is fine, then giving us no choice but to leave after 20m passing with still no server present for merely our beverage order. Lets go management get with program. Service unfortunately same whether busy or not.

Came in around 8pm after a dinner rush, seemed short staffed, bar was full of old dishes and drinks multiple tables were left empty and dirty, took us over 20 minutes to finally get a drink order in, bartender told my partner that her draught wasnt pouring right, and he settled for a bottle of beer, meanwhile another server was continually pouring towers of beer all night which was kind of annoying when we wanted draught. Sat with an empty glass for over 30 minutes for the both of us and still didnt get service so my partner had to walk around the bar to order from the corner for us. I had Antojitos which came out barely warm, the bartender told us she had to send someone to find our food. We started by ordering apps and asked to keep the menu because we were going to have more but the tender took it immediately. Okay, it still took 35 minutes for those apps to get to us (he ordered a poutine.) We ordered our last drinks and decided to play games for a while before going somewhere else for our mains since we couldnt get service, nor wanted to wait over an hour for food. There were empty liquor glasses all over the play area some still had beer in them which is awesome when kids could be playing and grabbing them. I dont know how their liquor compliance is in check but this was by far the worst service Ive ever received in an establishment. When we asked about fraught again the tender stated I told my manager and they just wont do anything about it or check it. As someone who knows line it was likely just a beer gas issue. Its a good thing this place has games, definitely dont go for the service or food quality.

We sat in the dining room and were promptly greeted by Kayla. She was quick to get our order and the drinks were great highly recommend wacky caesar! Our food came out within half and hour and all was yummy and hot. Thanks again Kayla you definitely made us want to come back(:

Every time I go here it is the same. Service is meh at best and the food would be better if my dog made it. Go for the kids to play games but that is about it. Wings are mid and place is expensive. Also heard from a reliable source the kitchen is....eww.

Our daughter had her 6th birthday party at Wackys, from 12 to 1400 last Saturday. Everything from the intial contact with the host, customer care, the food, atmosphere and the attention to detail was exceptional. The waitress I had was wonderful and helpful with orders. The chef messed up my order and had to remake it before I even could see it. I was the only one at my table wothout food for 15 minutes. The atmosphere is the worst ever. The big screens were filled with epic fail videos that were just burning all of our eyes at our table. Just play sports like a normal place!

Order Number: # 151056 Not happy at all with my order tonight. 6:25pm ordered off website, estimated time of delivery 7:25pm. waited until 7:50 figured maybe it was busy. 7:50 called to see where my order was. a person informed me there was an error and the website didnt refresh with my order until he just checked it then. promised he would put the order in for a rush and wouldnt be any longer then 25 minutes. this was at 8pm. food delivered 8:45pm and it was hardly warm. paid just over $100 for this order waiting over 2 hours for it to be delivered. not too impressed with the service to say the least. Everytime Ive dined in, the food and service was great.

I read some reviews and I was very hesitant based on those reviews to dine there. We are visiting family in Atikokan and came to Thunder Bay to see a movie and take our grandkids somewhere fun. Wacky s was the ideal place as the atmosphere was very friendly for kids and they were able to go to the arcade. We are from Nova Scotia and we enjoyed the entire experience. The service was top class and the food was the same. So glad we ignored the negative reviews and trusted our family when they said it was a great place to go!!!

They have a loser named adam, use to manage my son beforw i made him quit after telling me he makes the workers eat in the change room our out front behind the fwnce beside the fries, and this week a family friend went there had photos of them taken by a stranger adam was addressed and did nothing didnt contwct no police, another story from my kid is him screaming at the females for needing to go home sick... guys a clown and all the owner does is read these and doesbt do anything else but reply thanks for your feed bad

Tonight my hubby and i decided to take our kids to wackys for supper. We havent always had the best experience with some of the servers but the games are always fun with the kiddos. Tonight absolutely exceeded my expectations. Sam, our server was absolutely fantastic! The restaurant was absolutely packed full and she handled that with ease and still was able to give 10/10 service. She was very kind and answered all of our questions quickly and you can tell she was very knowledgeable. She absolutely was the highlight of our night! Made sure our drinks were always full and was very patient while my kids ordered their food ! She deserves some recognition for sure she really made it a great experience for us! We hope to have her serve us again soon! Thank you sam we appreciate you! ( she had another name aswell but went by sam to make it easier i just want to clarify that so no confusion is made)

Very rude manager, cut me off when talking and raised his voice at me. I tried asking about the free play card for my sisters birthday, alas he would not give us one, despite us having gone there for years. Then when I talked to a server about it, the server had no issue giving us one. Not a safe and welcoming environment for a family. The taste and quality of the food has also been in a decline lately, it is no longer worth the money in my opinion. I will not be returning here as I no longer feel comfortable or respected as a patron.

I recently visited Wacky s with a group of friends, hoping for a pleasant evening out. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable due to the poor customer service and the rude behavior of the manager. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that the staff were not interested in providing a welcoming atmosphere. The servers seemed disinterested and took an unusually long time to attend to our table. When we finally managed to place our orders, the service remained slow and inattentive throughout the evening. Instead of addressing our concerns with professionalism and courtesy, the manager was dismissive and outright rude. When we politely raised issues regarding the service, we were met with hostility and condescension, leaving us feeling unwelcome and disrespected.

Im extremely disappointed with the service at this pub. The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. It took forever to get their attention just to place an order, and when they finally came over, they seemed irritated.

One of my favourite places in town. I ve noticed it takes quite a while now to get the food after you order it.

Today really had a bad experience & faced racism at wacky wings thunder bay. Me my wife and our two frnds. Four of us went to this place . My wife is allergic to alcohol so we reqst them to give us the table at the back not at the front . The girl on the front gave us dirty looks & tell this to manager (old guy) and they both decided to harass us. They ask us to wait 20 min . But after waiting more then 1 hour they didnt text us for our table. They were allowing other people to let inn. The manager and that girl boht were stealing their eyes frm us . They gave us a lesson that if we will ask for the table of our choice they will not let us inn . Indirectly they did this to us and they were successful in their misson of insulting us .After waiting for 1 hour we left their place. This is what they did this with us. It was 12pm in midnight all other places have been closed so we have to return home without having dinner. The manager is teaching this to their servers & He is really having a bad attitude. May be he thought hes the owner of wackys as he is working there frm while .So beware guys & be ready if you will ask for table of your choice they will give you this lesson by not giving you table . Totally disappointed will never go there again .

Ate there yesterday and Ive been sick with food poisoning ever since. It is disgusting the amount of pain i have been in since dining at this place. If you want to spend 100$ on games to win prizes that were picked up from the dollar store go ahead. Wont be going back here again.

Despite the ID being in English, the staff member insisted that it was not and demanded a passport instead. It is unreasonable to expect customers to carry their passports for a casual dining out experience. Moreover, the receptionist s inability to recognize a standard English document raises serious concerns about her educational background and competency. Her lack of professionalism and courtesy is alarming and suggests a pressing need for fundamental education, possibly even returning to middle school, to reach a basic understanding of customer service and communication skills. This reflects poorly on the establishment and is disheartening to witness. Furthermore, the receptionist accused me of using a fake ID by asserting it was not in English, which is both unacceptable and incredibly rude. This accusation not only questions the validity of a government-issued document but also mocks the customers identity. Her demeanor included laughing and making unfounded accusations, which highlights her lack of education, narrow-mindedness, and lack of proper manners. This experience has led me to question the managements commitment to customer service and staff education. It is crucial for the management to address these issues promptly to prevent future guests from enduring similar ordeals. A focus on staff training and a review of customer service protocols are highly recommended. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. My boyfriend and I ordered food for dinner tonight they forgot our seasoning for one of our meals and they went above and beyond to make it right, they replaced the whole meal offered us cheesecake and even delivered it to us (we got pick up) amazing customer service! we love wacky s and definitely will be back, always a great experience.

Food is good as normal. But the GM, Adam, is a horrible person. In less than 5 min I heard him disrespect 3 employees significantly. He said to one young lady WHEN I ASK YOU TO DO SOMETHING YOU BETTER DO IT!! The tone in his voice was horrible, it sounded like an abusive husband. I pulled the young lady aside and said you never let anyone talk to you that way. You need to be a strong independent young woman and stand up for yourself. I talked to Adam personally he said I am sorry you feel the way you do but sometimes these immigrants need to be treated that way. I said you never treat anyone that way immigrant or not!! This man shouldn t be a manager after that zero tolerance.

Kids enjoyed so much

I recently visited your restaurant and was disappointed with the service I received. My friends and I ordered Jack Daniels & Coke, but instead, we were served drinks with Crown Royal whisky and Coke. Additionally, some of the drinks were just Coke without any alcohol. That sounds frustrating. This was not only misleading but also a breach of trust. As customers, we expect to receive what we order, and this experience left us feeling deceived.

Less options for vegetarians, service is okay. They should add more options for other sports as well what if someone don t wanna see your icehockey or soccer. Vegetarian options: 2-3 options for bacon only.

This is a favorite environment for connecting with family &/or friends. Great reasonably priced food menu, loads of fun and super service. I love the cascading seating scheme with large sports screens and the games rooms for young and older alike. In comparison to other establishments of this class of restaurant Wackys stands alone. It has a theme and atmosphere that cannot be matched in any other. Definitely a 5 star based on environment and uniqueness. Parking: Busy place. Lot was full.

Disappointing Birthday Celebration Amidst Safety Concerns We visited a restaurant to celebrate my childs birthday, hoping for a memorable experience. Unfortunately, the environment felt unsafe for kids, and an incident involving the manager serving whipped cream directly from the packet to a girls mouth raised serious concerns about professionalism and appropriateness. Our server, whose name began with V, was the highlight of the evening. He went above and beyond to accommodate our request for shakes without whipped cream, using a new packet each time. Despite his efforts, the overall management and safety issues overshadowed his kindness, leaving us disappointed on what should have been a joyous occasion. This is a clear food safety issue. Not visiting the place again. Very disappointed

Over and over again Wackys has disappointed me. The service is bad. The food isnt much better. The prices dont seem too bad, but for what you get I cant recommend going here. Avoid Wackys its an arcade... not a restaurant.

Best wings I ve ever had, about 50 different choices of sauces

Ordered through SkipTheDishes, only complaint is the cheap wonder bread bun on a $20 burger. I usually get the same burger from Wackys in Timmins and much better bun. Just had a higher expectation. Not sure if they ran out of other buns or just use cheaper buns for their burgers. Meal was made & delivered quickly, still warm.

I went to Wackys recently. Its a super fun place with lots of things to do. The food was really tasty too! The staff was super nice and helpful. We got a warm welcome, and the restaurant crew was friendly. I totally recommend this place. Sometimes they have discounts on certain days, so its a good idea to check before you go. The discounts are really cool!

We couldnt get a table at 10:30pm because one of our friends didnt have a physical copy of their drivers license even though everyone else in our party is closer to 30? It was pretty obvious we are way older than 19. Havent experienced anything like that before. Otherwise decent food and unique atmosphere for Thunder Bay.

Wish I could ve eaten my food when it was hot (my fault not establishments) got a work call and got consumed by it. This place was great tho! Food tasted amazing (asked my wife) I ll visit again when I m back

Person on phone says sure let me take your name and number I say it 3 times as her English was the good. Show up no name no number in the book not able to accommodate as hockey was starting in 3 hours? Glad you ruined a bunch of kids nights glad Marios bowl was able to accommodate! Manager was rude and didnt even try to make things right or even listen no name sorry as the kids looks at you glad you dont care about a group of kids horrible customer service

Found this place by accident after our original destination was closed. What a great find! Had to stop again for lunch on our way back. Its a must if you are driving through town, good food, good service, clean, big screens, arcade, great ambience!

The food was lovely as well as the staff. They had an okay amount of things that you could substitute meals for vegetarian options. The sports bar feel is fine but not my style. The arcade and music can be pretty loud at times but thats pretty much my only complaint. A pretty good restaurant in my opinion.

Went there for a meal, the server kept on pushing me to drink by taking out the can and opening the can, when I politely said no all to sell me overpriced alcohol at $7-8 a can, after that they did not care what happens to me. The server thought I was a tourist, that was just getting a meal close to their hotel room. But I live here in Thunder Bay, my family has been here since the 1920 s. Stopped here one evening on our way through Thunder Bay. Spent several hours playing games of all kinds, very good selection! Great prize redemption area too, but be aware your game card won t work at all Wacky locations, and most don t have any prize redemption options (except Sault St Marie) so redeem before you leave. Kid-friendliness: It s a kid friendly establishment and has plenty of games for all ages.

Wings looked decent, but took FOREVER to come out. Apparently on a wings nite they were going to come out fast. After catching myself falling asleep, wondering why I even ordered food, decided to cancel the all you can eat portion. Decided to pay for the food and leave this disrespectful location. Ive been to smaller places that smell better and have MUCH better customer service. Oh ya, to start the interaction, manager said it will only be 5 mins for a table; 12 mins later.. we get seated to a dirty bench table. After ordering wings, I complained it being about 40 mins. The server rebuttals with its only me and the guy in the back. Hey, brother, I wasnt complaining. Im just stating my case with not appreciating waiting an EXTREME amount of time for a small amount of wings. Would I reconsider.... MAYBE. MAYBE ILL BRING A STOPWATCH NEXT TIME. :) Vegetarian options: Vegan options available. But do they fry them in the same fryer as the meat products?

Fun!

I was only stopping through Thunder Bay for one night, but Wackys was near my hotel. Was only there for about 15 minutes getting takeout but this place is so cool! Wish I could stay in Thunder Bay longer just to have a fun evening here. My seasoned fries with dip for takeout were delicious - so many options - and the arcade had so many awesome games I wanted to try! We dont even have something like this in Victoria BC my home city, with a population 4x the size! I was so impressed by this place I had to make a review. Looks like a ton of fun.

Lots of games to choose from, they just updated some of the ones as well which was fun to see! The kids absolutely love it, but it definitely gets packed in there sometimes. Theres a decent selection of food to eat there as well, plus some deals for getting credits with your food! Overall its a good place to get out of the house

Ive always had good experience in Wackys and it is my favourite sports bar to go to in Thunder bay

Good day! We ordered a take out order and upon opening the take out boxes and starting to dig in we noticed right away that there was flies mixed in to one of our poutines and then while trying to enjoy my burger there was nice red 1 inch long curly hairs on the burger! Idk if this was just poor service or deliberately done.

In for a quick weekend trip from West Central Wisconsin. Found Wack s here on Google. We left super full, had a blast, and the staff was super friendly! We hope to make it back again!

I enjoy their service and meals through delivery since they listen to my instructions when I ask for specific instructions and cook an awesome burger. If I could recommend a restaurant to fellow students that don t have enough time to cook due to school, I would highly recommend this place for all the reasons above. Although, I haven t had the chance to eat in at this place in awhile the atmosphere of the restaurant was always the best when it comes to watching a game and having supper. Out of every restaurant that I order from, this is number one on the top of the list! Keep it up, Wacky s! Many thanks to the staff for the delicious meals and great service!

I was at Wackys 10 minutes ago, and the food was disgusting, On the chicken wings, I saw a black mark that shows how the chicken are Burned , and when I asked them about it, they said this is normal! How is that normal? terrible management, terrible server

How come i can order a meal and chose gluten free bun and one of the side options are fries. Then after eating it i realize that fries are not gluten free. Do you think im ordering gluten free bun because i love it!!!!! Why do u put fries in the options with gluten free bun if its not gluten free!!! Dietary restrictions: Glutenwise

Watched a manager that looked like the guy from split choke a customer after the customer hit a girl , guy was gasping for air they fired him they should ve fired Adam he is the annoying one who has the glasses and the lame name Adam pretty sure I ve caught him staring at the servers but they got rid of a guy who defended the woman

Great service. And amazing wings.

The service staff was great, but eveything else was not so great. Wackys is a sports bar style resturant with TV projected on every wall + many TVs which half of them play tiktok videos non-stop (I realize thats the norm now). We went on all you can eat wing Wednesday and the wings were a decent price ($22). The breaded wings are fatty and too breaded but non-breaded were pretty good. The sauces are NOT spicy, theyre 2nd hottest sauce called Volcanic is legitimately Tabasco sauce (not spicy at all). The rest of the flavors we tried were gooey, fatty, and extremely salty. So if thats youre thing itd be great, but I like hot wings and this wasnt it.

I loved their food , staff members are supportive. We enjoyed a lot. Their game zone is good but still looking for more games. Vegetarian options: They have some good options for vegetarians.

I had been cautioned that this wasnt a good choice for supper but I was pleasantly surprised. The wings were hot and fresh. Staff were friendly and very attentive. I will come back.

I asked for extra carrots because I like extra carrots and I couldnt find the carrot option on the skip app so I told them about my carrot problem but they gave me extra carrots even tho I didnt pay for said carrots 10/10
