11 Cumberland St S, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 2T1, Canada
Casual neighborhood Thai joint serving classic fare, draft beer & shakes in airy, inviting digs.
One of the best Thai places I've been haven't had great Thai like that in ages. Highly recommend someone tries it out if they're in Thunder Bay. We visited from Alberta and we're so happy we went here for dinner.
Excellent Thai food in Thunder bay. My wife and I shared two spring rolls and the green curry. Coming through the door we noticed the portion size was generous, so we opted to share one main dish, and I'm glad we did. We were both fully fed sharing an appetizer and a main course. As a bonus, our total bill came to less than $40... a great value. The food itself was excellent . Lots of reviews mention the spring rolls. I found them a little under-seasoned but the chili sauce garnish made up for that. The green curry was as nice as I've ever had. We will return to Thai Kitchen.
Excellent service on a busy night. Food was great. Huge portions. Pad Thai with tofu and Pad Se Ew were both excellent.
I’ve been here many times during old days when I used to live in Tbay and now that I was visiting for work. The food was delicious as always and spring roll with the pork came super hot, flavourful, decent size but a bit oily. Service was fast and staff were super friendly. Will definitely be back next time visiting tbay.
Tried one rice dish and one noodle dish. Rice was too dry. For 17 bucks excluding tax in that rice there were little shrimp and not even a full egg maybe! Doesn’t taste good at all. My husband tried their tofu noodles. It was okay as per him. I don’t think the rice which I ordered worth the money at all!
The food was delicious, nothing to argue about that. The atmosphere was good, joyfully, big and small tables enjoying a nice dinner with really good food, but the service needs to improve. When we arrived in a group of 4, there were two tables available and there was a couple before us that was seated right away. Our table needed to be cleaned so we were asked to wait a couple of minutes. The problem is that we waited more than 15!! We needed to insist... Then when finally seated, the waiter arrived 10 minutes later with only water and he left... They abandoned us, only like 10 to 15 minutes later they were back asking for our dishes, it was really really slow. After that all was ok, but it was amazing how an excellent place with real quality food gives below average service. I would come back only for the food, but I will stay away for the service.
We were driving from Newmarket, ON to Cold Lake, AB and Thunder Bay was our last stop today. After researching restaurants, my husband found Thai Kitchen and the reviews were too good not to try the food. My favourite dish to order when visiting a Thai restaurant is always Pad Thai. So after looking at the menu we settled on our orders. But before we placed our order we looked at the surrounding tables and it seemed everyone had spring rolls. Do we decided to order two as an appetizer. We were not disappointed. The spring rolls arrived, large, piping hot and once we took our first bit, exploding with flavour. Super glad we ordered these. Finally our main dish arrived (my husband got some spicy chicken rice dish) and I quickly dug in to my pad Thai. WOW. Lots of peanuts, fresh green onions, plenty of chicken, perfectly cooked noodles and the flavour was outstanding. I can say this was my favourite Pad Thai that I have ever eaten. The service was prompt, courteous and if you ever come to Thunder Bay, you have to eat here.
First time here and from out of town. Delicious Market Pad Thai with tofu. Ordered with no egg and came out perfect. The vegetable spring rolls are huge and possibly the most delectable spring rolls I have ever eaten. The flavor and seasonings were amazing. Price point is perfect and portions were great. I recommend and would return.
Never fails. Great Thai food
I really like the food there! Personally recommend No. 38 Fried Rice and No. 37 Pumpkin Curry!
Got the Pad Krapow Laat Khao, amazing
The food was distinctive and carried the original flavors of the restaurant. The restaurant is small and not very large. I would prefer to visit it again
The chicken skewers were amazing! And the pad thai was sweeter than the usual which was different but it was delicious. Excellent service as well. Shout out to our wonderful server, Emmett! He was awesome and super friendly and helpful.
Amazing. Best Thai Food. Best Thai Caesar drink too. Incredible food!!
Best Thai food I ve had in a very long time. I m from Toronto and the restaurants there can t even compare to this place! Delicious!! Very impressed, and the portions are quite big. Vegetarian options: Veggie pad thai is delicious!
Impeccable friendly service, beautiful high ceilings and thai art, delicious fresh flavourful dishes and bubble tea. We will be back. Vegan friendly. Vegetarian options: So much vegan food. Dietary restrictions: Serious sesame allergy safe.
Decent food but I rarely order from there as most of the time it has a long wait for food.
Very good Thai food. Thai Spring Rolls were large and tasty. My Tom Ka Gai soup was outstanding! But main dish Pad King on Gai was far too salty. Service was pretty good, and atmosphere was very nice - far better than most Asian places. Overall a very good place to eat in Thunder Bay. Heres my gripe: The hostess (older lady who might be the owner) had some odd ideas. Place was full when we arrived, and we were told about a 25 minute wait. However, the bar was empty, so I asked if we could sit there to have a drink while we waited. With a straight face she says No, someone might come in who wants to eat at the bar. Huh??? Well, someone - like me - might want to have a drink. And I was here first. She could have made money from us instead of leaving the bar empty for 1/2 hour. This was bizarre. Then, after about 10 minutes of waiting, several tables finished and left the restaurant. There were also people arriving and walking past us (we were waiting in a vestibule area). Since we werent called, I approached her and asked if our table was ready now. I could see at least 3 tables completely empty and being bussed or clean. She said No, I have to space things out, so it will still be another 10-15 minutes like I said originally. Huh??? I asked why she had to space things out? If it was because the kitchen couldnt keep up, that would have maybe been a viable excuse, but nope, she just had to space things out. I believe what she was doing was waiting for the one table ahead of us on the waiting list who had gone for a scenic tour of downtown Thunder Bay and were nowhere to be seen. Sorry, but if Tom and Mary arent around when a table comes available, then it goes to the next person on the list, and Tom and Mary can wait for the next table (there were no buzzers or notification system). Odd way to run a restaurant. Of course it seems like very few things are run efficiently anymore since Covid ...
Best Thai in Ontario. Penang was authentic.
The beef in the beef rice is really spicy. . . The tom yum soup tasted terrible, and the pad thai tasted terrible too. They were all packed away. I don t recommend it to Asians. I ve eaten more than 20 Thai foods in Canada, and their taste is really weird.
This is a great Thai restaurant with large portions and great flavors. If you ask for spicy hot you are going to get here.
Literally the best Thai food we e tried. I take food down south for my wife from here when I m on a layover.
I might drive to thunder bay just to eat here again. All of the food were amazing.
Come here a bunch. Great food with decent service. Bad parking lol
Love this area for Thai food. Best in town. If you want spicy, you really have to ask for it
The spring rolls were AMAZING and huge! I think I just ordered a dish that wasn t my usual Thai dish and I was disappointed. It was flavourful and very generous in size but just didn t hit the Thai spot for me. I was happy with the service and atmosphere and will definitely try another dish next time. Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free options.
Delicious authentic Thai. Affordable pricing, comes out fast. Servers are kind and efficient. Would definitely return and recommend!
Fayas s customer service was exceptional, he remembered us from a past visit and greeted with such warmth. We love the food and the customer service.
The food was delicious but a little salty
The Best place for Thai food. Delicious . #31 | Sen Pad Ped is my Absolute Favorite. Food : 5/5
The food is good. But the staff kept annoying me, every 5 minutes if I m still gonna sit and eat . And then finally one of them came and said should I bring the bill I didnt even sit for half an hour there and the restaurant is nearly empty.
Good food
Best Thai meal and great value! We were passing through Thunder Bay and the memory of this delicious meal will remain.
From my hotel I walked to the Thai Kitchen. I had a huge spring roll and pad kee mao but actually goong (shrimp). The basil added a great flavor and there were lots of good sized shrimp. The lady who served me was very nice. The food came fresh and hot. Good job. Kob Kuhn krap.
Ordered market pad Thai and spring rolls for take-out we re really picky with our Thai noodles, but I m certain this is the best we ve ever had. Not saucy at all but packed with flavour. Spring rolls were generously sized and also delicious. Blown away by the food options in little old TB!!
Good food + good vibe
Must try, their curries with noddles instead rice. Food is amazing
The food was great as always and our server was excellent.
Finally the food of Thailand authentically produced here in Canada!! If in Thunder Bay and are craving your favourite feel good Thai food, then definitely make a stop here!
Expensive food
Delicious food. Gluten free options are marked on the menu.
Authentic Thai food in a cultural atmosphere, what more do you need to know? Taste is amazing of course, try the pork satay, fried rice and curry
Great Thai food! The red curry was amazing and wasnt too spicy at medium, but full of flavour. The rest of the table loved their meals too.
Best Thai restaurant in Canada. Pad Thai and spring rolls are legendary, and are even great leftovers.
Excellent Thai food and prices are good too!!!!
I live in Kitchener, and every time I come to Thunder Bay this is a must have. Their food is absolutely the best I highly recommend.
The food here is as good as food gets without breaking any laws. Service is as on point as you could want the atmosphere makes you want to come back and the smell will quite literally lift you off your feet and pull you in the door like a cartoon. Eating Thai Kitchen is an act of self love and we all need the kindness. Nobody deserves your love more than you so it is best not to hold back.
Serves really good food and the interior of the restaurant feels like youre in Thailand!
Had the Kaeng Keow Wan with Curry puffs to start. Should have skipped the puffs. They were great but the main dish was so filling it was just too much for me
The food was disgusting! Ordered classic fried rice and it wasn t even fried just over cooked steamed rice with green onion and chicken pieces that looked like they came off off someone else s uneaten plate of food , rice stuck like a ball , the same goes for the chicken pad Thai , very unpleasant to look at and very over cooked rice noodle , some pieces of chicken were evenly cut squares and then there were some huge pieces that look like pulled chicken very unappealing to look at and eat , the vegetable spring rolls were good but that s it , do not recommend this restaurant at all I through out $89 worth of food , extremely disappointed . At least the bears will eat good at the dump .
Good food fresh and delicious
Really good food perfect for a date night
This place was a real treat! Lunch wasnt overcrowded, it was not overwhelming, it wasnt super loud.... The atmosphere was comfortable and the service was excellent. Then there is the food! Wow! So much flavour in every bite, the subtle flavours are not washed out in overly heavy spices, the noodles were perfectly prepared, and the presentation was lovely. Excellent experience all around!
Extremely Disappointing Experience at The Thai Kitchen I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at The Thai Kitchen, and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences Ive had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I had a feeling something wasnt right. Lets start with the noodles. I ordered a dish that had noodles, and to my dismay, they were like mush. They were overcooked to the point where they lost all texture and became a gooey mess. It was incredibly unappetizing and made the dish almost inedible. I couldnt understand how a restaurant specializing in Thai cuisine could get something as basic as noodles so wrong. To make matters worse, the food at The Thai Kitchen tasted like chemicals. I couldnt pinpoint exactly what it was, but there was an unpleasant and artificial taste to everything I tried. It was as if the dishes were made with low-quality ingredients or excessive use of artificial flavorings. It left a lingering aftertaste that was hard to shake off. Not only was the food disappointing, but the service was also subpar. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. It was challenging to get their attention, and when we did, they were unhelpful and lacked basic knowledge about the menu. It felt like they didnt care about providing a pleasant dining experience to their customers. The ambiance of The Thai Kitchen was nothing to write home about either. The restaurant felt outdated and lacked any charm or character. It was dimly lit, which only added to the overall gloomy atmosphere. In conclusion, my experience at The Thai Kitchen was extremely disappointing. The noodles were like mush, and the food had an unpleasant chemical taste. The lackluster service and unappealing ambiance only added to the overall dissatisfaction. I would strongly advise against dining at this establishment and instead recommend exploring other Thai restaurants in the area for a more authentic and enjoyable experience.
great service, very kind servers and amazing food!
My favorite restaurant in the whole city! Fast, friendly, and most importantly delicious!
This was my second time here while i have been working in the area. The first visit we had Kaeng Penang and Pad Krapow Laat Khao. Our second time we tried the Kaeng Daeng Pet (Red Thai Curry), Pad Het Gai, (Chinese Mushroom Stir Fry) and shared a Pad Thai. All were delicious. It was packed on a Wednesday night for good reason. Will definitely be back while Im in town.
Everything is delicious springs rolls are big full of flavor, also got.chicken satia which was also good the main dish pad tai was full of flavor and excellent as well reasonable prices friendly service definitely recommend this resturant one of the best in the city
Very bad and extremely late service, seating arrangements are not good too. They don t even care if you are sitting for half an hour or more and still none of server come to take your order or if you walk away is okay with them.
Parking: This has been one of my favourite places to go, whenever I m in Thunder Bay. The food is always flavourful and the service has always been good. Definitely recommend. Food
Had a lovely dinner! Knowledgable staff were very helpful with descriptions and suggestions. The service was prompt and unrushed, making it very enjoyable. We will be back again.
The manager was rude!!!!! We went at 8.30 and they weren t happy to have us nor welcoming. The staff was asking us to hurry although the order was placed. I think they dint want business. The staff was vacuuming the floor next to our table although we were still eating food.
Everything except the food is good. Too salty for me. High quality though.
Good pad thai with a generous amount of peanuts and the peanut sauce was delicious as well.
The pad thai is too die for....A+
So i have to say this place blows my socks off every single time! However, this visit it was hard to ignore the horrible service and was actually kinda embarrassing as i bragged and talked this place up to my bestie as we drove 3 hours through the storm of the century to eat here. It quickly past tho. After a few times having to get up to find a server and explaining we waiting on food and then having each dish come out alone with a gap in betwèn the next one coming out we were finally able to sample! I could tell by my friends face on the 3 hour drive she was skeptical. She isnt an adventorous eater, coming from a small town that only hosts a bar and grill and standard subpar pizza .But when she took her first bite of the pad thai i knew she got what i have been throwing down,!!! We probably woulda devoured everything we ordered if not for the 2 hour forced dining experience ,that included one time having a ten min conversation with a lady who i m pretty sure didnt understand a word i said about our order of missing pork satays . That to was forgivable because having a second round later that night was reliving all that yummyness again. The spring rolls were massive and crispy bites of heaven . I can only imagine how devine the satay were fresh off the grill by how they were still melt in your mouth after a nuking in the microwave . The pad thai was on another level and having lived all over canada including van and eating at a dozen thai places it was by far the best ive had! The level of good this food lands on would make me overlook alot of things im ashamed to admit to . Please do yourself the pleasure of trying this hidden diamond in the ruff .
Always a great lunch idea, portions are big enough to cover dinner too.
Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere! I got the sweet and sour Tom yum and it was delicious. The spring rolls were huge and really good. Portions are enormous also I took half home. Friendly staff.
Best Thai food in town!
AW YEAH.
Their prices have gone up and their portions have gotten much smaller. They also don t have a s much taste any longer. Not authentic.
Best thai in TBay
Lovely staff and good food. Truly a great place to eat when in TBay
If you live in thunder bay you have to go there
We loved every minute of it! I LOVE spicy and she likes mild to medium... great flavors...amazing assortment of spices and sauces.... the spicy garlic sauce Service is great and the atmosphere very welcoming! We will come back to try new things
I ordered spring rolls and masaman curry with tofu. It was filled with lot of potatoes, missing flavour, and not at all near to what masaman curry tastes like. Disappointed. Spring rolls were good. Hence two star for it.
Delicious food.
They wouldnt serve me, then people who showed up well after me got served so I left. Not a pleasant experience.
Hmmm, just loved the chicken pad Thai! Wow, super delicious! Great atmosphere to chill and hang out. The spring rolls are huge! A must order. Recommended dishes Veggie Spring Rolls
Great food. Awesome service. Go early it fills up fast for dine in.
Every time I ve gone, the food is so so good! Some of the best (if not the best) Thai food I ve had, beats my favourite place in Toronto. #38 beef is 10/10. Pork Satay is so so good!
Excellent food and service.
Amazing
Delicious food; delightful decor; excellent service!
My wife and I came to Thunder Bay for a wedding and a word of mouth recommendation introduced us to the Thai Kitchen. The appetizers were amazing. We had never seen spring rolls that huge and they were very tasty. We also had curry puffs served with a Thai chili sauce, also very tasty. For entrées my wife had a curry chicken and rice (mild to medium) and I had a Pad Thai. (medium). Along with a couple of different varieties of Sleeping Giant beer. Remember the Thai Kitchen is an authentic Thai restaurant and the flavors run high on the Scoville chart. So start low, you can always make a dish Spicer. The staff and management are amazing and made our experience a memorable one.
Go here every time we are in TBay. Never disappoints and we always leave full.
Great food! I had the pad Thai. Ive had better but overall it was very good.
I really enjoyed the Penang curry. I thought it was just as good as I get in some of the Asian spots I go to in Toronto. I got it with a medium spice which I found to be above average heat for this level. I am sensitive to the Thai Chilis compared to normal spice. It was not too hot, but I did need a few extra glasses of water. Do keep that in mind. The restaurant was clean and the staff nice. I enjoyed my dining experience and I would recommend.
Had #22 Green Curry with chicken. #19 Curry Chicken So good! Good portion.
Enjoyed a filling lunch here. Food was delicious with adequate portion sizes leaving us very satisfied and wanting to return should we ever find ourselves in Thunder Bay.
Ive had alot of Thai food all over this is my favorite so far, just amazing flavors atmosphere and service its busy for a reason. Vegetarian options: My friend is gluten free she loved this place.
The food was delicious and staff very friendly
The restaurant had a lively ambiance, with about 3/4 of the tables occupied when we arrived. The vibrant atmosphere created an exciting energy that added to the overall experience. We were promptly escorted to our table by a friendly and attentive young lady. Throughout our meal, she consistently checked in on us, refilled our water glasses, and came back regularly to see if there was anything else we needed. Her attentiveness greatly enhanced our dining experience. Now, to the highlight of the evening: the meal itself. I must say, it was truly excellent. The chefs attention to detail was evident in every bite. The flavors were expertly balanced, and each dish showcased the use of fresh and high-quality ingredients. The presentation was well done, further elevating the entire dining experience. Based on this culinary delight and the exceptional service, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. I, for one, will undoubtedly return.
All good. Really tasty and solid portions
Always a great choice
On holiday from winnipeg. Thought wed try something new and glad we did. The food was delicious, especially the spring roll. The best wed ever tasted. Will definitely tell friends. Thank Cindy & Ken Wpg. Mb. Vegetarian options: The portion were .pretty big. Had the wonton soup with tofu and noodles Will definitely come back
Saying the food is great here is an understatement. Just how busy this place is speaks for it self. If you want take out, order ahead and allow extra time, as they get very busy.
Awesome food, large portions, fair pricing. Everything was super tasty and fresh. Definitely recommend. It doesnt look like much from the street, but inside is nicely decorated and comfortable. .
good food. Service could have been better but not bad
Great vegan food, taste is exotic!
I enjoy Thai and a bit of heat. The medium curry I ordered was so hot, no one at our table could handle the bite. Slow service, difficult understanding the waitress. Not a pleasant experience .
Fantastic food and good service
Only restaurant in Thunder Bay that has been full. Excellent food and service. Food was very fresh and served hot. Be warned that a medium spice level is still quite hot! So best to air on the side of caution. Wil be back
yellow curry was very good, but pad peek was not good, few pieces beef with lots of green beans!
Hands down, the best place to eat in Thunder Bay.
Thai Kitchen never disappoints. On this last visit, 8 of us dined in to celebrate a birthday. We all had a different dish and each one was delicious and plentiful with all of us returning home with leftovers (and yes, they are just as tasty the next day!). I usually have the Tom Ka Gai which is amazing and customized for heat level but this time I tried the Kaeng Daeng Pet spicy red curry dish. Instead of chicken, I subbed tofu. Fantastic! Flavourful and loaded with veggies, this was pure deliciousness. Prices are reasonable too. No kidding the place was packed on a Tuesday night! Vegetarian options: Approx. half the menu is vegetarian/can be made Vegetarian or vegan. The code system clearly identifies these options. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free items are clearly marked using their coding system. There are many. Unfortunately the spring rolls are not gf and cannot be made as such. They can be made vegetarian though.
One of the best restaurants in Thunder Bay. The food is amazing this time I tried one of the fried rice and got it spicy. It was very spicy and so flavourful, also tried their soup and that was also really good. I will go back every time I m in Thunder Bay.
You can come with confidence. Plant grass, plant grass
Food was awesome. Busy, so slow service.
Wonderful food
Flavorful food without MSG
Myself, little sister (11) and mother tried Thai Kitchen for the very first time a few days ago and honestly our experience was great!! My sister had the Kwit-deo nua and she loved the flavours!! She loves trying new foods and flavours and was super happy with her experience here. We all enjoyed the Spring Rolls and in general they really stood out to the other ones we ve tried in town. I had the Kaeng Leung with medium spice although I do find that for a medium it was a lil bit more spicy than expected. But the food was so good, I d definitely get it again. Finally my mother had Pad Kee Mao; with a medium spice level but again, it was too spicy for her, and couldn t finish her plate. She also commented that she expected the beef to be tender, I tried it as well and it was kinda- chewy. Aside from that the music was pretty groovin and our waitress was very kind! I d personally go again but my mother is a wee bit indifferent, perhaps she d try a different dish with a lower spice level Kid-friendliness: My 11 year old sister approves
Hands down the best Thai food I ve ever had! The atmosphere is authentic, the service is quick and friendly, and the portions are very generous! My favourite local restaurant in Thunder Bay
Amazing food.
Vegetarian options: Best Thai food in town Food
The spring rolls are delicious!
The food is always so good and full of flavour the service is always above and beyond it s never takes long to get my food and the atmosphere is really nice
Thai Kitchen is a Thunder Bay institution. The food is always excellent and competes with Thai food Ive eaten in major cities across Canada. My favourites are the Pad Het Gai, the Pak Boong Fai Daen, and the Market Pad Thai with shrimp, but Ive never eaten anything there I didnt love (and have tried a good percentage of the menu). I love that almost anything can be made vegetarian and you can choose your own spice level - be warned the hot spice level is very hot! Ive always had good service and I love the atmosphere. I would literally weep if they ever shut their doors!
Beautiful inside. Good size portions. Good service.
Food Is Good healthy Delicious I eat Shrimp stir fry With Veggies Tasty Atmosphere very Pleasant Iced Green Tea Perfect order With Food After drink Relaxed..
Many people have raved and spoke highly about this restaurant. I was recommended to try and did this past weekend as I was visiting from Toronto. It was phenomenal and definitely did not disappointment. From the lovely/friendly staff, beautiful Thai decor and delicious food - I must say its one of the best (and most authentic) Thai restaurants Ive tried. Thank you to everyone at Thai Kitchen for this great experience and amazing food! We ordered: Thai mango salad, chicken satay skewers, chicken pad thai, red curry/rice, and spring rolls.
Possibly the best thai food, in and around Thunderbay. Loved the ambiance.
Great food, good portions. Had the #36 - Kaeng Tonlay Red curry with seafood. Very generous with the shrimp, calamari, scallops and mussles. Would definitely come back.
Went last night got the #31 and some spring rolls. Food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Waitresses were very helpful and the prices are very good! One of my favourite spots in town and love to recommend. I ll be back!!
How this place is only scoring 4.5 is beyond me. Its the best Thai Ive tried in Canada. I would recommend they add eggplant to their green curry, Thai eggplant if possible but thats hard to come by so any will do. They made it banging for me. Ears are smoking, just the way I like. Edit : Im back and I still love this place. Amazing food and service once again. Big portions.
Seriously good food and customer service!
Walked in where we saw that majority of seats were available..saw the sign that says please seat yourself . We chose our seats and then the lady working there came to tell us we were not allowed to sit there and had us leave. Not sure why we were treated this way but extremely rude and disappointing. Won t be returning.
Would be a nice place but i walked out (still paying the full bill) after first bite of the veggie spring roll. Asked, when ordered, to wait until i am done with my appetizers. And please bring me hot sause. First bite in those springs roles where disgusting. Then he immediately brings me the main course, so it would get cold. I told the server this and he just laughed and start explaining me what is wat. Really? Train your servers.
First time here and will be back. The Hostess lady was patient, fun, professional and extremely accommodating. 5 stars to her. Food was very very good ( I had pad thai with shrimp) and a spring roll. All 6 at our table really enjoyed our meals. We had 1 person with a nut allergy, the lady taking our orders was listening and professional and said she would further the allergy concern to the kitchen. The price was super reasonable in todays pricing of restaurant food. Thanks Thai Kitchen!! Friday Dec 1/23, 7:15 pm reservation
No one does Thai food like here
Food is so good, perfect taste and staff are so accommodating , friendly and fast .. well deserved to recommend and price is not so expensive, good portion for the price.
I almost cried when I ate this Khao soi gai (Curry chicken noodles) today. Both the taste and the plating were exactly same as Thailand. Even in Thailand, this taste is exceptionally outstanding. I didnt expect to have such authentic flavors of Thai food in Thunder bay. I appreciated the skill of the chef and thanked Thai Kitchen for providing me this amazing Thai cuisine here. I dont need to fly to Thailand anymore!
Always impeccable taste!
Excellent food 10/10
Menu could be a bit more explanatory. Har dto figure out the meals. Food was very good though.
We love the food! Highly recommended
A little bit pricy but totally worth it in every way. Every thing Ive had from there is delicious. The #22 green curry is my go to. Will make a trip from westfort just for it
We dine in with family and friends nice and beautiful place food and service was good we really enjoyed
Great place to eat. The staff were nice too.... I had my food extra hot (spicy) and if you dont have the stomach for it please dont do it. I loved that I could eat something so hot because I can barely find food with peppers in them so this was a welcome change for me. 5
Ordered take out pad Thai. Generous portion but apparently laced with loads of MSG which made me thirsty throughout the night and next morning.
Great food, good prices, nice plants!!
Delicious Asian cuisine and very friendly service. Their spring rolls are the best in town!
Food was amazing!! satay and soup was to die for. Our server Awani was amazing.
Great portion for the price, absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned. Bubble tea was awesome. Staff very friendly while I waited for take out - very quick service. Lovely peaceful atmosphere if you dine in
Lets see. Food+ Service was fine. I liked the coconut based curries/soups. Rice and the Thai beer Singha. Id say to go again
Amazing food and great proportions, lots of vegan options and plenty of menu items. Good service, would absolutely recommend.
Great restaurant. I love it
This restaurant is one of the better options if you appreciate spicy meals.
Potentially the greatest meal of my life. Got the spring rolls, coconut milk soup, and pad Thai. I cant stop thinking about the soup. Attentive and friendly staff despite being super busy.
Incredible food veggie spring rolls amazing Pad Thai delicious Mango salad also delicious and fresh. Great service Clean Restaurant great ambiance. Highly recommended if we lived in Thunder Bay wed be regulars
Delicious food with reasonable price.
The pork Satay and pork spring rolls were enough for a full meal. 5 stars. The ginger chicken had way too much oyster sauce and, to me, tasted fishy. 3 stars The portions were very generous.
Nice food, beautiful ambience
Its ok. Coming from Toronto area I was hoping for more. But the meals were just OK. We ordered take out. I most likely wont return.
My mom came and visited me in Regina and brought me up my favourite dish without the meat, still tasted amazing even after travelling 16 hours lol
Amazing service and DELICIOUS food. 100% my favourite Thai restaurant in Thunder Bay.
Absolutely delicious food. Soup is to die for! Service was efficient and very welcoming. Would highly recommend!!!
Amazing food. Melissa did a great job serving us! Would definitely come again.
Super delicious food that is so filling! Always room for leftovers the next day which is great!
showed up to a dining room filled with empty, dirty tables. waited at the door for 30 mins before seated. I love the food hear, but the service is really lacking. also they use a massive amount of plastic for their takeout
Love the spring rolls
Good food, but its busy and service takes a long time.
Excellent food and good environment. Just need a little more room for seating larger parties.
First time customer, Fantastic food and well flavored.
Fantastic food and the new location is nice. Their Pad Thai has been a favourite for many years
The best Thai food i have ever had! I will visit again, very soon!
The place looks really nice, similar to those of chinese restaurants.
I dont get what could be good about this restaurant. Staff were rude and we felt like we must order quickly, even if we were not familiar with the menu. Appetizers were good, but the main dishes were a disater. Medium dish was way too hot and the sweet and sour, well, it was simply sweet. No delicacy in flavours. Would never go back and dont recommend.
Friendly service, my food was tasty, the size was more like a plate meal. Unfortunately my wifes curry didnt taste good because it was drowned in coconut milk. Too much
The spring rolls were amazing and the food was great
Good food and service, lovely restaurant and decor. Vegetarian options: Good dor vegetarians. Wheelchair accessibility: Level accessibility from street
Great staff, smiling, friendly, welcoming. Food always spot on delish!! Vegetarian options: Lotsssssss!!
Sooooooooo good! Pork is more tasty than chicken
Ordered green curry, it was very good. Will visit again
Had the veg spring rolls and Pad Thai. Deliscious!
Son was the best waiter in the world!! He was so nice and funny! Can t wait to see him again!
One of the best restaurants in the city. Food is fresh, and the portions are reasonable. The spice is great, and the flavours are incredible. Service is fast and friendly. Spring rolls are HUGE and so good! Highly recommend the pad thai, and green curry, but Im confident the whole menu is amazing. This is my go to place for dinner after a busy day at work and never disappoints. Highly recommend !
Went here for dinner with my wife and had a nice dinner. Service was great, staff was extremely friendly and for the most part the food was great. We had the curry puffs as an appetizer and they were amazing. However, I tried a dish I had never had before and I didnt really like it, which is on me not them. I wish I could taste the place 4.5 stars. My wife had the pad Thai and it was excellent. I would go back. If you like Thai food this is a great choice. Also they have a ton of vegetarian and gluten free options. They serve booze as well. Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options, and it seems that almost all dishes can be made in a vegetarian version. They also have lots of gluten free options.
One of the best recommended places in Thunder Bay Super!!! The food is so yummy. Recommendation: #37 Spring roll and #2 satay (pork is better than chicken)
Had the Pad Thai , curry puffs, and a Honeydew Bubble tea. The Pad Thai had very nice flavors, the curry puffs were surprisingly delicious. The Bubble tea tasted nice, but I found it very weird that they didnt blend up the ice. Made it unenjoyable. Most of the pearls stuck in the ice. Overall, not bad. I would definitely go again.
Great food, friendly service, I love all the plants inside and the atmosphere. Lots of space, open later, great for takeout or dine-in. I normally get the Pad Thai, good for two meals easily unless youre really hungry.
