Greatest Pizza and food in Timmins!

Ordered for delivery, pizza was cold, ordered a pound of wings, weighed the ones we got, 8 oz and thats with the box! They were cold as well.

As a young teenager freezing in the cold with my two other friends, we walked in to try and warm up and told them we would buy a pizza just to be able to wait, but the older white woman pushed us out and said we couldn t even get a pizza. I figured it was a racist thing because after us a white man walked in and did the same thing as us native kids and got full service. Do not recommend

Very gross looking place the staff was quite rude, while I was waiting the staff was yelling I ll get to you in 20 mins as if I was a guest even though I was just picking food up. This restaurant is supposed to specialize in pizza and their pizza was like a baby hand craft made pizza I could make with my eyes closed. Tasted like a bad homemade pizza that your little sister made. I hope they change this place to a coffee house because pizza is not their forte. It was 25$ for a large pizza as well. And the pizza wasn t even big nor thick. I paid for 1$ worth of ingredients.

The food is way too expensive, yes it s good but almost 100$ for 2 large pizza and a small pizza and a large poutine is insane, owner is also pretty rude.

Great tasting pizza. Very thin a bit light on the cheese. It was 29$ for a large pickup so I thought it would be loaded. Still very good taste.

Been ordering Dons for over 40 years and I will keep ordering till they close or death do us part I moved to Sudbury 19 years ago and still drive there to get it or anyone I know coming from timmins going to Sudbury I get it delivered

OMG.....this pizza is the worst....even for Timmons. 62 bucks for poppers and a lack of Lustre pizza. Pls do us all a favor and shut the doors.....permanently!!!!

If you want to get robbed, Dons Pizzaria is the place to go. Paid $32 for a large which is actually a medium at other restaurants. The crust is like cardboard. Id much rather eat a Delicio. And make sure you have cash because theyll charge you a $1.50 for the interac.

Ordered large pizza. Was told 45 minutes. Was here within 15 minutes!!!! Delivery man was friendly and nice. Definitely would order again. Thank you Dons !!!!

I had dons for the first time last week and when I got it home there was no sauce anywhere to be found on the meat pizza. we thought they actually forgot the sauce or maybe that was a pizza that didnt come with sauce, so we called and brought it back in just to show them, because i absolutely hate calling to complain but that wasnt pizza, it was a some thin dough with a tiny bit of cheese an toppings. and I didnt want them to think we were lying. and they said that is how its been made for 30 years... there was an orange huge on the dough (that I thought came from the pepperonis but i guess not) that was the sauce they said... then they put it BACK in the oven, the employee said no on ever asks for more sauce only more cheese but there wasnt legit an ounce of sauce to be found on that pizza and im not even exaggerating. maybe it all was absorbed into the dough but who knows. we pulled back the toppings just to show, it was forsure the worst pizza I had ever had in my life. I get more from a frozen pizza then I did that. brought it home and it was hard an gross and i will never eat Dons ever again.

Amazing and hot and fresh each time! Amazing customer service so far! Just very pricy for most on a budget,and the pandemic and all, with all other pizza shops in town I find they are the most expensive for your dough for such thin crust! But very well worth it if u can afford it when feeding a big family. Very good pizza for adults! Younger Kids dont like it as its thin and crispy and hurts there little mouths! They rather have toppers or pizza pizza as its easier to chow down. But us adults love it.

Very pricy and food was alright not great. Portions where very small example 6 wings for 12$.

ROTTEN PIZZA DELIVERY: Honestly this place should be shutdown. Ordered Spicy chicken pizza on Thursday Eve, but got ROTTEN PIZZA. PIZZA BEEN COLD. Looks like pizza lying there for a day or two as it smelled. Dont blame on covid. Better refund or take back the pizza.

Dons. Thats what I called my grandfathers farm before he passed away. This review may have taken a dark turn, but if you take a left into Dons Pizzeria l, your world will be bright. Their pizza is so thin and delicious you dont even need dip. But youll use it, because youre a heathen with a ranch addiction. Yeah - I see you. I know the only reason youre even ordering pizza is to have an excuse to eat an entire bottle of Hidden Valley.

Expensive for nothing, I wouldnt consider Dons pizzeria pizza its more like eating thin cardboard, didnt feel like pizza, didnt taste like pizza and it sure didnt looked like pizza either, loaded with mushrooms to the point its all you taste is there even sauce? I didnt bother trying anything else there as the pizza was enough of a disappointment.

Wow.... I paid how much?? I will never go back. I feel like I got duped. I asked for extra cheese where was it!!! Not very good, tasted like cardboard!! I gave the girl an 8$ tip. The unfortunate part isI live an hour away so I couldnt go back After I realized I was taken for a ride.

One of a kind Dons Special! I have never found a pizza that compares to this one. Cornmeal crust, homemade sausage, slightly spicey sauce...excellence.

Dons special every time! Hands down, Ive never had a better pizza. Looking forward to going home and having a slice. I highly recommend ordering an extra pizza to freeze. It travels well and tastes perfect reheated. Also great cold the next day.

This place has been opened for as long as I have been alive. Its practically an institution in Timmins. Its also one of those polarizing you either love it or hate it establishments. While many people do like the pizza, I dont. The problem is consistency with the order and delivery. They often got my order wrong or it would take way too long to deliver or the pizza would just taste off compared to what it used to taste like.

Since the first time I met DON personally I have to say the best thin crust pizza I ve ever tasted and I m Italian , I m fussy with my pizza , but there is no other like Don s pizza I have to say that. The legend lives on the secret recipe is still fantastic. way to go boys ! every time we go to Timmons we look forward to stopping inAnd have our fav pizza and wings. Niagara Falls Ontario

Best pizza in Timmins.

We had a similar experience to other reviewers. Long wait for a large (it was tiny) pizza that had a paper-thin cracker crust that was flavourless, no sauce at all (no word of a lie, we tasted none and had to check, no sauce at all), was overly salty and greasy too. Normally this wouldnt be an issue, but the pizza was so horribly misshapen that we were visually missing about a 5th of it, so forget equal slices. Debit surcharge is worse than a corner store and some employees are rude and impatient. Not worth the $30+, awful first and last time ordering, never going back again.

The first thing I do when I go to Timmins is order a Large Dons Special. Mmmmm

excellent pizza but never opened when we want to eat it...isnt pizza places supposed to serve nightly as a rule! well theyve got the best pizza but leaving all the money to the other generics,,very sad!!!!!!!!

Was told I needed to try it. So I came to try it, suppose to be open til 8 here at 7 asked to sit and eat. They said they were closed than said they were closing at 7:30. I wanted to sit end eat not be rushed. I know I said I would be back. . . .but probably wont.

Was told I had to try...well I tried... Ordered a large pep, bacon extra cheese. Was told if I got the large id get free wings. Free...yeah .... 19 for the pizza, 3.30 for bacon and 9.99 for extra cheese.. plus a 2.00 fee...which was all it said and 4.75 for delivery and 45.00 later the wings def werent free. Pizza crust was paper thin and a bit dry for my liking...if there was extra cheese Id hate to see what regular is. Im sure people people love this place but the only thing good about it was our delivery driver who was very professional and friendly.

I tried to grab a local pizza since I m traveling and I was surprised by the fact that I got the pizzas after an hour and 15 minutes. $60 for 2 cold pizzas and cold fishy smell like wings. I don t even know what s wrong with this place to not compete to be the best in representing timmins pizza market. Big disappointment!

I am never ordering from Dons Pizzeria again. We placed a delivery order, after 1 hour and 20 minutes, we called asking where the pizza was. They never offered any sort of customer service for this great delay, I would of appreciated a credit or free pizza for waiting that long and the pizza waa COLD when it arrived and was terribly expensive for what we got.

Landed in Timmins over the Days of Thunder Concert and first meal on my list was Don special. We order extra Large Special and was excited for it and sorry it s not the same. 2 cokes and the pizza 43.00 not worth the money. Was telling all my fellow Timmins friends there and here in Toronto I wouldn t go back again.

I always try to support local even if it is a little pricey. And so worth it! The Dons Special is the absolute best! I LOVE it! Keep on doing what youre doing!

lost my business sorry to say,been ordering for years now fedup with cold wings,cold pizza not the first time ordered house dip with pizza every time but they seem to forget to package it up after i paid for it and not cheap either,called them about it they seem not to care...the price of these pizzas are unreal for this price they should be more professional about it...and they delivery to my house off river side and gov rd terrible...sorry Dons you had to read this...

I enjoy their food. Im actually not a pizza person so I like the other variety on their menu. BEST fish in town!!! Their clubhouses and Cesar salad are delicious as well. The kids enjoy their chicken wings and curly fry poutine(not on the menu but a huge hit).

It took over an hour for our pizza and we called twice. No refund or no discount received for delays. She was rude on the phone. Also you pay allot of money for pizza with so little toppings. If customer service would improve they would get much higher ratings. Perhaps it was one bad experience.

Not terribly exciting place to dine. A different kind of pizza than franchise pizzas.Very thin on toppings, and crust. Everything always falls off because they put all toppings on top of the cheese, and no cheese on top to hold things on. Like I said a different breed of pizza. Been in business for a very long time, so some like it.

Been on the road from 7am to 8:30pm. From Sudbury to Timmins to Detour and back to Timmins tonight. Was looking forward to some good pizza and wings! Guy on the phone didnt seem all that interested in my business and told me the deep fryer is shut down because theyre closing soon. First off...what pizza joint closes at 9pm?? Second, you must be the only place on the planet that shuts your equipment down a half hour before closing. (I heard you in the background btw. Your clock is also 15 minutes fast fyi)

Terrible pizza, could not be worse, and ridiculously over priced. Awful pizza, we worked a hard day and were looking for a solid pizza to have a good night. We could not have been more disappointed. The pizza is thinner than cardboard, coated in some salty spices that burn your lips. Bad toppings that were clearly more than a day old. I have a had a lot of pizza, and coming from Ottawa I couldnt believe this is the pizza the north had to offer. Absolutely terrible.

By far the best pizza in the city. A must try. Real toppings that werent frozen cant be beat !!!
