Very nice atmosphere and people behind the counter, a great place to go for lunch or dinner
Worst experience from swiss chalet as they even served chicken as frigging cold n just finished it somehow. Worst food ate here in timmins plus it's Harvey's plus swiss chalet n thus suck with the atmosphere too.
Ordered online at 5 to be ready for 5:55 when I got there was told it takes time. Didn't get my food til 6:20 also ordered the lemon pie it didn't have a crust. And the chicken was real fatty
This is not your typical Swiss Chalet... It's the fast food version of it... Never again. Food was pre cooked and dry. Waste of $$$ and time.
Not your traditional Swiss Chalet. Place your order at the counter and food is brought to your table, which is okay, just don’t expect table service . The ribs had a mouthful of meat on them for a half rack. Chicken and fries were good. I’ve had this combo many times but this is by far the worst. Waste of $30. It was a Monday evening and there were no other customers in the store the entire time I sat for dinner. All employees either chatting or on their phones yet the washroom was an absolute mess.
Normally it’s really good but todays meal was cold. Beans felt like they came out of the fridge. Chicken was not the usual fall off the bone and was a bit tougher to cut. Gravy was only warm. At least the appetizers were hot. Seems they made the main course first and waited for the apps to be ready before serving all at once; backwards from how it should be served.
Stopped by to order and dine in. Asked for a Family Pack that was advertised on the board. The cashier took a very long time finding the pack in the system. Finally they found it and we chose our sides. The cost was higher than advertised we asked for a reason and she couldn’t answer. We got our receipt and she charged us for gravy without even asking. So we go and sit down and wait for our food. When it’s ready they tell us we can’t eat the family pack there. It was not advertised as take out only and the dining room is almost empty. Service was so disappointing we will not be returning.
We waited until a few months after the initial opening to try the new location. Needless to say the experience was awful. The server should have concentrated on taking the order correctly instead of rambling on about the poor quality of Timmins water. The chicken caesar salad came with rusty iceberg lettuce instead of romaine. We called for the manager and he explained that the lettuce comes pre packaged and all cut up ready to use. He couldn't explain why iceberg instead of romaine. We got them to start our order over only to find that they used iceberg once again for the caesar salad. By then my sister in law and I were too hungry not to eat it. My boyfriend's lemonade came 3/4 full and the girl explained that she had not been trained on the machine. My boyfriend also ordered a double angus cheese and bacon burger only to receive one patty. We'll never go back. After all those mess ups, the original server never came back to our table......wonder why????

Had very pleasant experience. Food is always good and staff is so friendly. Having lunch with funny videos on TV does makes day goes quick and happy. Parking: Lots of parking and clear without snow
Fries were ice cold didnt give us our drinks also onion rings were ice cold chicken was dried out and over cooked.
This is one of the best Harveys and Swiss Chalet combo as you could enjoy your Swiss chicken with Harveys shakes and slushies . Recommending to all my friends and my family
Overall, a decent experience going to Swiss Chalet. Unfortunately, the drive-thru attendant passed my change oddly and some of it fell on the ground. She did not apologize or say anything. I felt this could have been better handled, as these things do happen sometimes.
We did a large group order - 32 dinners. Manager was excellent to work with, everything was perfect!

Called in order - ordered ribs was told they dont have ribs at my location. (I confirmed with location that they do have ribs) Got my food - Ceasar salad was wilted and smelled bad, didnt get sour cream, got gravy instead of chalet sauce. Just disappointed in my whole experience with swiss chalet tonight.
I travel for work and don t usually leave reviews for restaurants. I ordered online, when I arrived I noticed right away that this location is extremely disorganized. The cashier wasn t paying attention to the customer he was serving, he was attempting to delegate everyone s tasks while not appearing to even know what he was doing. Before leaving I had to have I m get my drink since he didn t even bother looking at the receipt to see what was to be included. Once I arrived back at the hotel I noticed that my order didn t include everything. No I will not fill out no form for you, I just hope that the people of Timmins read the reviews before they go to your location. The food was very subpar, it seems it has been sitting in warmers for days.
One of my favorite locations of Swiss Chalet. Food is always yummy and staff is always nice, environment is always welcoming. Highly recommend.
terribly bad wings, all coating and no meat, salad was completely brown, very poor quality meal.

Havent been there in a while... and wont be returning. Chicken was cold, dry, and tough, I think its been sitting there for awhile. The bun was not edible. Mashed potatoes also only luke warm. Gave one star because couldnt give less!
New owner is trying really hard to improve things. Much better than when I went 4mo ago
I was not empress tonight the service was wonderful but did not like the atmosphere. they had funeral music playing to loud. No longer able to have a sit down meal with a waitress. I felt like I was at a fast food restaurant. Family In front of us wanted a family pack for dinner and was not able to because it is only for take out. The floors were extremely sticky as well.
Cashier was most helpful Not happy veggies have been removed from menu.
Tables were dirty. No clean tables.

Ordered drive through, got home and the ribs were so dry it wasnt edible. I decided to drive back and went inside, asked for the manager. There was no manager in sight. I showed the cashier and they gave me another rack of ribs that were literally the same. Do not go here for food.

We went group of friends. we try of loads of food in visit. One of my friend tried ribs and the meat were actually fall off the Ribs. we try BBQ flavor. The staff was welcoming and friendly. worth of money as it local in owned. Parking: Clean and organized

Great food and friendly staff, definitely a good spot if youre looking for a good meal at a good price Parking: Enough parking, parking at Independent for large trucks Kid-friendliness: Restaurant is kid friendly with access to high chairs. Decorations will make the kids happy as well
We ordered the festive hot chicken sandwich the order was brought with 1/4 chicken meal the cashier misunderstood, chicken was dry , potato was dry , self serve pop was room temperature , Was disappointed

Their staff is really good and friendly. Always serve fresh food. Visiting here values the money and their coupons saves alot than others .. Highly recommended
Had the new crispy chicken sandwich and it was delicious. If you havent tried it yet get yourself out and try it.
They lied to my face about my scene point and they didn t even pack utensils or napkins for chicken and ribs take out. Won t eat there again.
Placed an ordered online received food with no sauce. Called store to get them to make it right and was told they cant do anything maybe on the next visit. Told them wasnt gonna be another visit if you cant make it right now. Got hung up on after I asked to speak with manager. Terrible service.
Almost never gets the order right, but their food is good. Ribs are actually on point, better than most rib places.

I had enjoyed Swiss Chalet in Timmins since it s opening. However, lately it has changed...There is no more service at the tables and all the food is served in plastic containers. Also, the quality of the ribs has changed: they used to be the best but now there is very little meat on those bones and it is very dry. The last time I was there, I complained and was given a free meal for my next visit. I did not go back!!! I am very sad because this was my go to restaurant every time I was in Timmins.

*Updated my review to 5 star as this restaurant has made significant improvements in the last little while. Quality is consistent and Fresh cut fries are back at Swiss Chalet!! Nice restaurant with a take-out counter & tables (Harveys) as well as a sit-down area with table service (Swiss Chalet). The Swiss Chalet menu is a condensed version. The chicken is good, no complaints here. Food is usually hot. Service is also good. Order online and food is always ready when I show up.
Most of the meal was fantastic, but the 1/3rd rack ribs were less than desirable. Very little meat on them, and the ends pieces were like beef jerky.
This restaurant is a joke. Its literally just a Harveys with a swiss chalet menu...
The food was excellent as well as the service. The only negative was that it was cold in the restaurant and everyone had their coat on. This stopped us from enjoying our meal.
Swiss chalet used to be a decent place but it has gone down hill over the years. The quality is just awful now. Dont waste your time here.
Ordered takeout, most of our order was forgotten, but after a pleasant phonecall with whom I think to be the manager, Steve, everything was made right and we left very pleased with how it was handled. Food was great as always and excellent accountability.
The concern I have with the swiss chalet in Timmins is they should change there menu they have the menu from down south witch is a lot better than here and the down south is a lot better to
