I forgot to take a photo but, I got the pork filling pancakes and tbh it was a bit disappointing. The pancake was 80% dough and there wasn’t as much filling as I would have liked. And each pancake was $5. Which is pretty expensive for what it is. They also only take cash. When I asked about credit/debit payments, the owner was also a bit snobbish. Said in Chinese that it’s just a couple of dollars, how come you don’t have the money. I ended up e-transferring. Do not recommend.
Had visited this place twice so far. I had no issues first time. I basically poitnted pork & beef bun on the menu and the lady put each of them in a paper bag. I paid $5 each in cash. My second visit was interesting. I pointed what I wanted which was 1 pork & 1 beef buns. She was packing noodles. I kept saying no and pointed the buns. When eventually she understood that I wanted buns, even though I made number 1 sign with my finger, she was going to put another one in a bag. I kept saying no no. It was challenging. My friend was planning to get the bun with red bean, after she watched me, she gave up.
Very nice hidden gem
The 麻酱烧饼 (sesame paste pan-fried many layered delicious thing) are so good (literally the best thing ever) when they're fresh out of the pan. The lady running the place mainly speaks Chinese but this is not a problem if you are willing to point to what you want on the menu and communicate some numbers with your digits :) you may need cash.
Flavours are good. The rice noodles are unique and have a bouncy texture. The bread would have been better if it was toasted.
Had a really serious diarrhea after eating in this place! Avoid at All Cost!
