Food was delicious. Coffee was fast and frequent. Service was excellent. Friendly staff.

Walked in. Asked where to line up to order. I was told where to stand. Waited patiently. Someone else walked in and they took their order before me.

Its a good spot. The food options are great and reasonably priced. Service is great. Id definitely recommend the turkey avocado club.

Constantly cancel Ritual orders because they can t handle a morning / afternoon rush. Don t be on Ritual if you can t fulfill orders.

Do not go here. Prices are not fair. They try to charge me $5.65 for 1 bagel. Meanwhile, my friend came to the same window. And they only charge them a $ 1.94 This place is false advertisement trash. Do not come. I guess they were cringing at the fact that I brought a Tim Hortons cup to the window

went here for breakfast this morning for the first time! every staff member was so lovely and welcoming! the person helping me noticed i was unsure of what i wanted and made suggestions and explained the menu so well! i got the smoked salmon and avocado bagel sooo yummy :) great way to start my morning. will be coming back 100%!

I really enjoy their breakfast bagels but the customer service is very very poor. They ladies that work at the front do not give you a warm greeting, every question you ask is answered with an attitude (this is from the short lady that works at the front) and they are not very kind and courteous. I simply asked if my bagel could be cut in half and I was rudely told We always cut our bagels here. How am I supposed to know that and why the attitude to a simple request? The only person that has been consistently warm and nice in terms of customer is the guy that cooks the food. The ladies that work at the front need to be trained in customer service because they do not have it. So yes, I like the bagels but I do not like poor customer service so I will not go back. I will take my money elsewhere.

I enjoy the breakfast at his place; however, they have poor customer service; the staff is rude; if you ask a question, they snap at you; if you ask to change the type of cheese on the bagel, their tone of voice is rude. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, they were unwelcome and rude, I thought it was a difficult time for everybody, and sometimes I would tip them. Today, early in the morning, I placed two orders, two Tal-Aviv bagels; I ordered veggie, avocado, and cheese, and the second bagel was number 1. I asked the male staff if mixing the eggs was okay before he added them to the cheese; he said nothing, so I assumed it was okay. He proceeded to toast the bagels, and the female staff started to make the eggs; I asked again if you could please ask her to mix the eggs, he said; we do not have time to do this It was not busy. I was the only one in the store; I replied you could have told me when I asked you the first time. He jumped, took the frying pan, and slammed my order in the garbage, which made a loud noise. He started to make another order, rudely saying, What is the difference if the eggs were mixed or not and slammed the frying pan again on the stove. It was shocking to see the male staff snap and become angry; I asked him to stop, and I did not want him to make my breakfast because he was angry, so I walked away. Both male and female staff are unpredictable; as a customer, you do not know when and how they would be rude to you. The male staff could have managed the situation better; my order was around $15, which the store lost. The store owner used to be in the store in the past, and both staff would behave themselves.

Customer service is the worst, I have ever experienced in Canada since 2001. Both of the women there have terrible attitude towards me and other customers. I said good morning everytime and they totally ignored it. Many other complaints I can give. The cook is polite and the owner also. The food is delicious thats why I order there.

I went with a friend at lunch time. As soon as we entered the restaurant the woman behind the counter screamed at my friend and asked if she was eating in or out - not very welcoming. I ordered turkey on a poppy-seed bagel. My friend had eggs with a poppy-seed bagel and avocado on the side. My bagel and my friends bagel were as hard as rocks and mine was also burned. We could not eat them. My friend had to ask for the avocado that the server forgot. The turkey in my bagel was not fresh or oven roasted, but one paper-thin slice of store bought processed meat. On top of all that, the food was expensive. This is a franchise that is poorly run, has no quality control, low quality food and rude service. I do not recommend this place and will not return.

Great food with specialty baked goods and fresh coffee. Convenient location for a quick pickup!

After finishing a delivery. I stopped by this hidden gem. The staff were pleasant and helped guide me to my choice. I ordered two incredibly roast beef fully loaded sandwiches on onion buns for $20.

Went out of my way to go here only to receive extremely rude service. Love Kivas but might want to review employees you have working for you. Any question I asked was met with a response full of attitude. Employees were very dismissive, and seemed annoyed when interacting with customers, ignoring me half of the time I spoke terrible customer experience.

First time at this location. I ordered scrambled eggs with a pumpernickel bagel. A small bit of salad was added to the plate for decoration. The eggs, I know, eggs are eggs, were cooked perfectly. They were light, fluffy and not over cooked. The bagel was huge. Pumpernickel can be tricky but these were a little sweet and not dried out. Service was very quick and friendly. This is more of a take out place but they do have a few tables at the back. Dress lightly if you are going there in the summer. It is was rather warm. We ate and left.

Ordered the daily soup (mushroom and barley) and a bagel with cream cheese (and tomato and cucumber) and it was great. Fast and friendly service, large portions.

Great selection and service. Highly recommend the Matzo Ball Soup and the bagels.

Visited Wednesday morning right before 8am and since it wasnt busy, service was quick! The smoked salmon and avocado club was delicious.

Woman behind the counter wasnt wearing a mask and was coughing while preparing food as we walked in. She eventually pulled it up when we were inside but this turned me off completely. Coughing and spreading germs all over food then serving it to customers.. disgusting. Wear a mask at all times, when on break etc go out and take it off but not around food!! Wont be back. Other than that its too expensive for what it is.. $25 for 2 bagels??!!

Kivas is in my opinion the BEST BAGEL one could have. Even though one puts things on their bagels, you could just eat them plain. They are just that good. I just wish that KIVAS would open up shop out in the West end of the city maybe one to two shops. Just hoping

Best bagels in the city. Also the tuna salad is beyond amazing.

All Star bagels and breakfast

Don t judge a book by its cover . That s exactly what kiva is on Yonge/St. Clair. I didn t even know it existed as it s not really advertised. I enjoyed a really good pumpernickel sesame seed bagel with avocado and the works. Coffee was also pretty good. Service was very pleasant. Definitely good value for money.

No honey or lemon for my tea Staff manhandle the coffee cup during tea preparation: one hand with a glove, the other without.. glove is never changed, hand is never washed.... Lets spend two minutes putting the lid on my cup and touch every part that will be on contact with my mouth - thanks!

Upon walking I was looking at the menu and the lady was just giving me pure attitude and just didnt seem to care to serve me. I ordered the smoked salmon and avocado club just to turn around and see a guy handling the smoked salmon with his bare hands (rings on his fingers and all). It was my first time going to Kivaa Bagel Bar and was looking forward to it since I just moved into the area but I definitely wont be coming back.

Ordered Israeli breakfast - tiny portion and very basic without any real flavour. Packaged whipped butter was the most flavourful thing. I could have made this in 2 minutes. 2 cooked eggs and I tablespoon of cucumber salad and 1 tablespoon of cream cheese with sliced toasted bread. Not worth the money paid. Not coming back.

I found the staff to be friendly but for what you re paying, I d much rather go around the corner to the Bagel House! Still a great spot for someone who lives in the area and needs a quick bagel fix!

Quality went down over the years. The team has little communication between each other and I probably repeated my order 3-4 times to the staff. I saw people ahead of me do the same. The sad thing is that you wont get another healthy alternative in this area except Kivas

Awesome little brunch spot with fresh baked goods. There are few tables so arrive earlier to make sure you get a spot on a weekend. The service is prompt and friendly. The food is absolutely srumptious, and fairly priced. Absolutely love coming here on the weekends.

I love a good bagel and Kiva can be relied on to deliver. The pumpernickel bagel I ordered (toasted, naturally) with a slice of Swiss cheese, onions, tomatoes, and olives, was simply delicious. The bagel itself had a crunch to it that I enjoyed. That said, it was light and airy on the inside, and didnt leave me feeling stuffed. The toppings were generously spread and ensured that the sandwich was top-notch. Service was friendly, if not the quickest. I look forward to my next visit to Kiva; I cannot wait to try their other types of bagels and enjoy a cup of coffee!

Friendly little place to sit down and have a coffee and something light to eat. Bagels are very fresh. Prices reasonable for the area. Its a few stores to the west of St. Clair and Yonge on the south side.

Excellent for a bagel sandwiches, and a dessert/snack pastry on the side. But beware during the lunch rush, they are super disorganized, and continually getting orders mixed up. I personally have received the wrong bagel twice, and had two friends that have been burned. These guys need to get their stuff together and get a better ordering system.

I get breakfast here every morning. Fast, tasty, and reasonably priced.

Fresh baked goods great service and to die for flavors definitely a repeat customer.

A great place for a quick bite. Service is usually fast and efficient in this small restaurant with (maybe) only 24 seats or so. Omelettes or salads are our usual go-to choices. They do a lot of takeout so the place can be quite crowded at times. Not gourmet but you can expect a good meal nonetheless.

What is happening with Kiva? I have been getting lunch there since 2012 and the Service getting worse and and the salad portions smaller and smaller ...a disappointment !Better order only sandwiches now on...September 2018

If its your first time going and you dont know what to get, try the Tuna on a Cloud. They have large servings and delicious food, the only downside is the front is small so it gets crowded and a little confusing if there are a lot of people. Otherwise phenomenal!

Excellent customer service, food quality and smiles all around. The owner had me try their world famous coffee and I was impressed. Im not much of a coffee guy, but it was among the best coffees Ive ever had. Im charged for the day after going there for breakfast. Well worth the trip, and friendlier service than even Starbucks!

I enjoy coming here for my occasional breakfast bagel with cream cheese! Everyone welcomes you with a smile first thing in the morning and they are very efficient - one of my go-tos when I dont have time for breakfast. Just a little pricey for what it is, but still great.

The food, coffee, and pastries are all pretty average at Kivas. The ordering lineup is cramped.

Great food and coffee, but had a bad experience today. The first two times I was there, I was served by the same person and she is very friendly and courteous, she even remembered what I ordered the last time. Today was just bad. I asked for coffee and right off, the lady serving was pissed, I dont know why. Then when she came to take my order and was downright condescending. I couldnt understand what she was saying (cuz she was talking fast), I think she misunderstood that to be I mocking her accent, and she was rude (I am not a native English speaker either) Then she slid my plate at me, no eye contact, no nothing. That was it, for me. Didnt tip. If she serves me again, I will definitely ask to be served by someone else, that is if I go there again. But 3 stars just for the other good lady and the great food.

Feels like a taste of New York. The coffee and bagels are amazing. In the summertime, a window opens onto the sidewalk where you can order your coffee from. The place is just incredible.

I hate to give a bad review about a food place who works hard to keep their business running but truth be told once I ordered a spinach egg bagel and instantly after few hours I had food poisoning. They really need to work on their cleanliness and food safety.. Usually I would go there to get an expresso or latte or get a freshly squeezed orange juice but after that incident I try and avoid the store. With Tim Hortons opening right beside them, they are soon going to loose business if they dont fix there food safety and cleanliness issue.

The foods are ok but they should train their staff to be more friendly specially the 2 Asian ladies working in front. Even though your foods are great if you have staffs who doesnt treat costumer the proper way it is useless. Two most important things I look in a restaurant, number 1-service, 2-food. Please train them to be more professional and be friendly to the customer or otherwise just put them at the back where they are not dealing with customer.
