Great bakery hidden in the PATH next to Soup Nutsy at the TD building. It's quiet in the area where this bakery is located, which is rare in the PATH during lunch time. The chicken, pesto and swiss sandwich tasted great. Matcha latte tasted great too. Will definitely return again.
Came here just before 8 am on a week day and it was not very busy. The person behind the counter answered my questions about their products and recommended me their most popular items. I tried the almond croissant and although it was good, I was a bit disappointed, especially from a French bakery chain, as I’ve had way better ones. Maybe I should try other items from them another time. They offer a variety of sweet and savoury items as well as drinks. You can enjoy your food and drinks inside as they have multiple tables.
Great pastries! Scored all these on the Too Good to Go app for their end of day treats and they were all so delish!! Got sandwich on a previous visit and that was good too.
A cafe/diner restaurant right next to lighthouse labs at king and Bathurst. There is free WiFi but you have to sign in every hour. Food isn’t bad but it’s definitely pricey. The employees are attentive and friendly. There is plenty seating with different tables. There is also a coat rack in the back.
The salmon sandwich was just what I expected, light and yummy. The service was great as well However, the cappuccino felt like a lot of foam on top of a latte, which didn't let me enjoy it as much
Best coffee in Toronto. It's organic and strong. Perfect French pastries and excellent salad bar options for lunch, plus sandhiches etc.
Coffee and small warmed up snacks. The prices are a little high for basic foods and the service was pretty lack luster when we went. Decore seemed uninspired. It was fine, but we'll be trying other places before we head back.
Picked up a sandwich for my daughter. It said mixed vegetables and Goat Cheese and could be toasted, however I requested grilled. A small cafe new Metro Hall. Lots of good things on display, but none that I could indulge. It looked good and I picked it up. The veggies plenty and perfectly sautéed and seasoned. The Goat Cheese was a disappointing- hardly any. The bread was too chewy and almost bagel consistency. Perhaps grilling or toasting is a bad idea and also to have it right away. Interesting looking but had the goat cheese quantity been better it could have knocked out of the park.
Au Pain Dore is a gem! Their food quality and service is exceptional! Ardi is very helpful and friendly and tried her best to accommodate late small requests which was truly amazing! I would definitely recommend to our folks in downtown for their catering needs
My Toddler absolutely loves when his dad brings home treat from here. These are his favorite snacks.
Its in the basement, not signposted on the street outside. How to get there, meaningless fast food place.
Came here on a weekday around 9am. Not very crowded yet service was still slow despite a fully staffed team. Food is okay. Cannelé was frigid cold. Don t bother ordering those here.
I am in a hospital with cancer, didnt ate in many days and today was looking for a baggette till I found it here and they sent me other bread
Yummy and fresh vegetarian options with lots of cheese.
Tried Brioche Dorée for the first time and it was totally worth it! The Ham & Brie sandwich is big and very tasty! Highly recommend and it is also available on Ritual for pre-ordering.
I work in a cafe inside Sherway but always opt to grab my lunch here. I always talk about Brioche Doree to my colleagues and recommend it to them, which they liked as well. Food wise, it s the best - specially the Grilled Bacon Cheese sandwich that I always get. However today, I encountered an unpleasant experience. I already paid for my sandwich and while waiting, thought about adding a lemonade. I was on my airpods talking to someone and already got the drink not realizing I hadn t paid for it yet, then this man with the glasses (never seen him smile) on the counter apparently was calling my attention.. while I had apologized and was paying thru my phone, he said I don t wanna have to chase you, I m pretty fast and the customer next to me found it funny and was laughing. NOT GOOD MAN. I m the last person who would run away for a five dollar drink.
Fine
My favorite place in the area for both myself & catering for the office. Ardi and the staff are always friendly and smiling! Their food is the best and I pretty much love everything they sell (Their matcha latte is the best Ive had!) Ardi is very helpful and accomodating with catering orders and makes the process very easy and painless. Also, the food is always very nicely presented and they always arrive on time! Its also a very big plus that they open early when you need to have breakfast catered for the office or if you need to grab food on your way to work! I visit here whenever I need a little pick me up while working at the office
Good place but doesnt hv all the treats we were looking for
Great coffee and Croissants! Wonderful breakfast!
Great foods. And most important is very friendly staffs.
The staff is so friendly and nice!! Love there!!
Such a nice place to stop and grab a bite when on way to work!
Incredible almond croissants
Very good croissant, súper friendly staff
I spent a week in beautiful Toronto and had the pleasure of stopping by the Brioche Doree shop at 222 Bay. The food was delicious - I had a quiche, a chicken curry soup and a tasty beet arugula and goat cheese salad. I was very impressed with the freshness as well as the friendliness of the staff. I decided to take home a box of pastries to my children in the US who loved every choice from the butter croissant to the chocolate and almond croissants and their favorite - the chocolate brownie!! You have made us happy and can bet that we will be back!
Amazing experience using their catering services! Had a big event and needed breakfast and they were very accomodationg and responsive. Ardi was amazing! Every detail was covered meticulously (allergies, cutlery etc.) And food quality was amazing! Really good croissant, lots of variety and everyone was pretty satisfied with the food! Thank youu
It is the first branch I have found outside of France. Exquisite breads, particularly the French Flan. Good coffee and very good service.
favourite café in the financial district.
Nice croissants and coffee. In the basement floor of 222. Thanks guys!
Great pastries! I got muffins, blueberry danish, cinnamon roll, raisin roll (my personal favorite), spinach & feta bistro and they all tasted amazing. Generous filling, fresh high quality ingredients, not overly sweet. Muffins were still soft and moist after 2 days! Will definitely come back for more.
The best backery in Toronto Down town
Wonderful pastries!
The croissant is very good , I will go there often
Their baked goods are perfect and the staffs are polite and helpful! Its definitely one of the best café in downtown
Great place, great food and coffee, very friendly staff. When lockdowns are over, can t wait to visit and sit again. They have the most open space in the neighbourhood, great to do work. And the staff is very accommodating, especially to my toddler when we visit.
Poor quality ingredients, don t let the french name deceive you - it s awful.
Very fresh amazing taste
Wow, sandwiches are awesome and are big dose of nostalgia from my (previous) frequent trips to France. Great location, clean and bright atmosphere, friendly staff, and tasty food!
This is a great little place for a simple lunch of French cuisine. Fresh quiche, beautiful croissants, amazing sandwiches, beautiful soups, well priced, and great service. You cant go wrong, just enjoy.
Amazing sandwiches and treats! Staff is awesome and super friendly, highly recommend if in the area for a quick bite.
Love this place, so convenient and staff is incredibly courteous! Definitely my go to on King!
Pastry is soooo good tried almost all and loved every single one. The place is spacious and staff are super nice.
Great coffee and wonderful service. The staff are making sure everything makes you feel safe. They even hand me the lid using tongs which i havent see any other store do that. 10 out of 10 recommend
Great staff, clean place, smooth coffee, and even better pastries. I ordered a 12oz mocha and the batista upgraded me to a 20oz free! Saweeeettt. Ham and cheese croissant.....decadent. I shall return.
We ordered catering for lunch on our wedding day for the bridal party. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, on time, and stress-free. Would highly recommend!
Good coffee. Had the salmon, cucumber, spinach croissant. The BEST breakfast thing I have had in a long time!
They closed the location on King Street on November 1st.
Love the coffee and the customer services
Excellent quality food, tasty, good selection of soup, especially in the cold weather. Sandwiches are also quality meats and cheeses. Soup is $4.50 for large, great price. Sandwich was $8.00 I high price. But all in all a good place for an enjoyable lunch.
Very poor service. I ordered a soup and sandwich. But the soup is half of a cup only. Its odd!
I like to work here on my laptop and eat Sandwiches.
Coffee could be way better. the custard flan is amazing! Sandwiches are great.
Nice place, first time I was there, Id go back
The Brioche Dorée brand in Toronto is slightly different from what you might know in France and that s normal. The brand has adapted to the habits of Canadian consumers. You will therefore find a mix between French products (chocolate, croissant, etc.) and international products (iced coffee, English muffin, croissant sandwich, etc.). This mix means that we will easily find what we want whatever our tastes. You will of course find bread even if there is a limited choice. Special mention for the cookie, which is exceptional (the photos date from just before confinement).
Loved the Chai Latte so much better than any Starbucks!!!! Also great staff and service....
Great, fresh food and amazing service every time. The salads and pastries are to die for. I do however wish they had more vegan sandwich options
High quality products, love it
Good place to have a fresh coffee.
Extremely overpriced
Great italian food!
Excellent salad at a fair price compared to Starbucks. Polite customer service as well! Full Wifi access. I love it, and I will be back!
Great French style pastries and good coffee. Have been going here regularly for the past few years, and the quality is consistently good. My favourite is probably their croissant sandwiches with ham, cheese, omelette and coarse ground mustard. Delicious and filling. Danishes are pretty good as well and, unlike most places, theyre not too sweet. Same goes for the other pastries. Only issue is that they can be a bit dry if theyre not recently baked, so worth asking how fresh they are. All in all a very nice place for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch, or for an afternoon treat.
Love the food, the service and the ambiance
i was so excited to see this restaurant but when i got inside to order - BOTH girls at the counter didnt speak any english!!!! I cant believe it. How am I supposed to order if they are not able to communicate with me. Super disappointed in the lack of customer service and training.
Always clean and never crowded. Great alternative to Starbucks or Second Cup in the area. A little pricey but its worth it for where you are. Solid food selection and full service coffee bar. Staff are very friendly.
I wish there was table service, but the food was delish! I ordered the ham and cheese crêpe
Salad has a live bug in it. 2/10
Clean, bright, fair pricing and friendly staff. Friendly manager too!
Friendly staff. Good sandwiches and soups. Not too crowded. A great place to start your day.
Nice space. Good food/service
Good vibe
Great baked goods. Love their quiches
Absolutely delicious and extremely friendly.... loved it
The food is fine. The prices are steep.
Very delicious baked goods and iced teas as well.
Delicious, scrumptious, pleasing!
Good quality food and service...worth the visit...lots of room
The creme brulee is excellent. They have a very good coffee too :)
Cute little café for ready-made breakfast sandwiches and pastries! Wifi password is only valid for one hour and so it is not the best place to go if you are planning to do work/studying for extended time.
Went for lunch recently for the first time in a very long time and its still as delicious and clean as I remember. Friendly staff, lots of seating and chill vibe. Easy for grabbing a quick healthy lunch on the go. The beet salad is my favourite!!!
I love the make your own salads here!
Watery espresso - good bakery options.
A nice French brunch - tasty, easy to order and a quick convenient solution!
Fresh pastries and nice atmosphere!
Very delicious desert and coffee
Try their broth soup!
Stopped by for brunch, the staff was very attentive, service was fast and friendly. Extremely enjoyable almond croissant!
Trendy friendly atmosphere
Yummy soups...
Coffee and Pastries are Delicious.
Quick, delicious and fresh!
Pastries are made fresh everyday. Wide selection of sandwiches (plus they have the lunch combo where you can get a sandwich with a soup or side salad.)
Love their desserts
Nice place. Good coffee.
Great place for a quick lunch, meet-up and pastries.
Great ambiance and good food.
Cozy! Owner is a very nice guy!
Loved the venue! Nice place to hang out. Food was decent. I would hang out there again, if Im ever in the area.
Wanted to say good things but a little of the French authenticity is missing... for instance last time I was in France they didnt use a fast/blast convection and microwave combo to heat up a Baguette which results in a melty mess of hot ham and cheese. Details people deatils:)
Great veggie options. Light and fresh.
Not a super fancy or authentically French spot, BUT the pastries are good, the coffee is surprisingly nice, and the staff very friendly. There is space to work and electrical sockets for laptops etc. Has a nice vibe. I had a couple of elderly family members visiting who were staying in a hotel nearby and they loved this spot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It has an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
Great space and great food.
Great place for a breakfast croissant. Service is fast and friendly you wont regret it. Food is always fresh I highly recommend to try it.
Cool atmosphere and good coffee.
There are also Japanese staff... Its a friendly and clean shop...
The cakes are delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful
One of my favorite brunch spots in the city on a quaint part of Queen East. Proper French fare- the smell of freshly baked pastries consumes the room although they have a diverse menu and you are welcome to a beer on the morning. Divine.
Excellent place for light meal with coffee
Pleasant environment, Charming Staff
Awesome pastries
Love the sandwiches !
One of the best options for coffee chats
Great salad selection
Nice place, good prices, good service but nothing special. The Cremé Brulee is pretty good and the coffee too.
Simple food done well. Their vegetarian sandwich with mushrooms and goat cheese is excellent.
A very simple unassuming cafe but I loved their pastries. Must try.
Wonderful coffee and bakery items !!
Best almond crossiant ever
Best egg croissants and excellent lattes
Fresh and delicious! Love this place! Friendly staff too
Had an excellent smoked turkey sandwich and a very decent latte. Dont often do chains, but this place does well.
Perfect place for studying, working, lunch and a coffee. Spacious, great food and coffee, and fast wifi. Clean bathrooms and plenty of outlets. Not much to complain about!
This is one of the best breakfast place in Toronto so far!!! Best croissants, coffee..and salmon crepes are so irresistibly delicious!
Was very happy to find a brioche dorée in Toronto. We have a quite a few in Montreal.
Always fresh and delicious!
Great place for lunch
Good tasting food. Can get quite pricey. It s also quite busy often so finding seating is difficult.
They dont use separate knives or gloves for vegetarian and meat-based food.
