As good as the pastries are, the girl at the front is very rude and not welcoming. Her tone and responses are very backhanded like she s pissed off about every questions asked. I come here for coffee to save time since it s close to my job and the 4th time I came in this week she said you know we sell other stuff too right? not just coffee. My other coworkers have had the same bad experience from this girl, she should be taught proper customer service skills.

I tried a combination of sweet and savory foods, theyre all pretty average. I suspect maybe this place does good cakes or catering. Im not close-minded, if Im in the area again Ill try getting a slice of cake.

I highly recommend Sweet Culturas special occasion dinners. Their Thanksgiving dinner was excellent with lots leftover as the portions are always so large. This isnt your regular Thanksgiving dinner. The salad had orange slices, cranberries, roasted fennel, and caramelized onion. Because Andrea uses quality products, the simple oil & balsamic dressing was perfect. For the main, I selected turkey breast rolled around a stuffing with apple, walnuts, and cranberries, then wrapped in bacon. The veggie sides were perfectly done. So delicious. And that was only 2 of the 4 courses. Looking forward to the next special dinner from Sweet Cultura! Thank you Andrea and Abby! ps my only problem was deciding what to order eg the 3 entree choices (including vegetarian pumpkin risotto) all looked so good!

It is my daughter s first day today and we went on the recommendation of a friend. Man the cake is DELICIOUS . 100% recommend. We just went for 2 cakes but ended up buying other stuff too. The chicken, onion burger was so good. Give it a try!

Have bought the Pastries box and a dozen cannolis. Each time Andrea was very accommodating and ensured that the food was as fresh as could be waiting even to the last moment to prepare it so that it was at its freshest. I brought both the pastries box and cannolis to my office and everyone kept asking me where I got them from as they were so delicious. Would highly recommend to stop by and grab something to try as the quality and service is impeccable. Will definitely be ordering more for my office in the future and will be stopping by every now and then for a little treat or snack.

The owner and his wife are wonderful and the desserts are super good and shows they make with love. Highly recommend this place.

Staff are always friendly and quick to help anyone that drops in, and theyll remember you if you stop by regularly. As for the offerings: Im absolutely addicted to the cannoli here. Double chocolate and original being my favorite. Everyone Ive shared them with loves them as well. They also have some great cookies. Prices are fair for the quality of the baked goods. Believe me when I say you will not regret stopping in and picking up something to enjoy.

Pastries are so so . Croissants are okay .The cannolis are pre-filled and so they are soggy and completely and inauthentic. Find somewhere that fills and fresh, especially at that price.

This is my go-to local bakery for cakes for family birthdays and other celebrations. I really recommend the maple cranberry cheesecake and tiramisu. The taste is perfect for everyone to enjoy and appreciate. They have a variety of options, and you can request a custom cake from Chef Andrea! The price is reasonable for what you will receive. Fresh and delicious

I absolutely love this place! Their cakes are amazing. I tried the tiramisu, Black Forest, and apple pie, and each one was delicious.

Ordered about $70 worth of pastries through ubereats. I was a bit surprised at the quality and taste of the pastries given the high reviews. Many just felt bland, especially the custard or cream based pastries. There are much much higher quality baking goods in the city hence the surprise. Also possible this one just isn t for me. *Changed to 3 stars from 2 as I don t want to negatively impact their reviews as some people seem to really like them.

Chef and his wife are the best, great people. They produce incredible food, sweets and baked goods. He s always so nice to my mother, my brother and myself. It was my grandpas birthday today and he made a fresh cake for us which was both delicious and beautiful. So happy to have him here in the neighbourhood.

Sweet Cultura bakery is a wonderful addition to mid-town Toronto. They make fantastic pastries. The best for me is their cookies. The Cookies Uniques are made with different fruits & vegetables like mango, avocado cream, kale, blueberry. The shops home-made ice-cream came into season last month & it is made in the bakery. Yeah!! Flavours like tiramisu, mango, cocoanut in a cone or a cup. (weekly flavour changes) I give the ice-cream 4-stars every time I take a mouthful. ;) My other favourite is their crispy bacon, lettuce & tomato sandwich on a bun. Warm the bun slightly in your microwave or just eat it the way it is.

We have ordered multiple cakes, cannellonis, bread and croissants from Andrea over the last few months. It s hard to recommend one thing because we loved the everything from Sweet Cultura. Maybe croissants are a good start. And the staff is prompt to respond to msgs, very friendly and knowledgeable, give great recommendations.

Andrea went out of her way by emailing me directly to ensure that my cake order was perfect. The tiramisu cake that we ordered was delicious and perfect for the occasion. We highly recommend their fresh cannolis (esp the coconut) and their housemade sandwiches as well!

I think Ive tried almost all their pastries over time. Their canoli are amazing. I love the ricotta mascarpone cake.

From the amazing customer service, so yummy taste, the beautiful cake look, noted expertise and reasonable pricing ...The customized engagement cake was just fantastic.. Randomly found this place and randomly picked up a 4 cake and 2 cannoli. It was absolutely delicious!!! The cake doesnt taste like those cheap artificial sugar, but only smooth, creamy and with real fruit flavor. It melts immediately in the mouth and each bite was enjoyable. The tasty cake made our birthday party even more joyful. I will definately come back again and try more!

Came here for the first time to pick up their 6 inch tiramisu cake. It was delicious! The frosting layer was not terribly sweet with notes of coffee and cheese. Very pleasent for our Chinese taste buds. I was also offered a canolli on the house after a brief conversation about Italian desserts! A pleasent gesture which was equally as delicious. Also not too sweet with a rich but soft pistachio filling. Light and crispy pastry shell. Andrea and his wife were wonderful and a great first experience.

Recently discovered this little beautiful spot in the neighborhood. Fall in love with their mascarpone tart! Wanna try all variants! Definitely a must try! Good coffee to grab. Also owners are very sweet and always find time to talk to you. Now I m a permanent visitor :)

Everything very well prepared! It is noted that the ingredients used in the preparations are of high quality. The incredible lasagna, the sweet cannelloni 100% recommended. I still have many products to try, but all of quality and very good service.

Amazing service and food

This business is a great little Italian bakery that specializes in sweets but also with a good variety of savoury items. Over the past few years of operation has brought some of the Italian taste to the neighbourhood. Everything is made in store everyday. Therefore freshness is guaranteed. I recommend planning ahead as the place is popular and if you go too close to the end of the day you may not find what you are looking for. Likely they take orders. After bringing the first time one of the mascarpone chocolate chip cake all my friends are requesting it to all the parties I attend. I definitely recommend it, although my favourite remains the apple cake, and the fruit tarts. The pastry is good as well. Try the danishes. From the sandwiches I normally buy the eggplant chicken. I feel like that is a well done product that is not available in any other bakery which too me is an extra reason to com e buy to sweet cultura for it.

There are soooo many treats to choose from . I tried the blueberry danish and the hazelnut cannoli. Being partial to hazelnut, the cannoli was my favorite, it was amazing! The blueberry danish was really good too. Cant wait to try everything else here. Everything looks like is made with care, and true expertise.

Came in after searching online specifically for the best tiramisu I could find for my wifes special birthday. My review: high-quality ingredients, a delicious harmony between the cakes different layers and textures, and overall, it tasted incredible. I also took a coconut/chocolate cannoli for the road (they looked delicious, I couldnt resist) and the owner threw another in for free for my wife to try, which was a kind gesture by him. Cannolis were indeed also top-notch. Everyone loved the desserts I brought. Well be back for more - I highly recommend checking this place out!

I always thought this was only a bakery but to my surprise, you can also get cooled meals, like lasagna, salads and pasta. I had a cold salad to go and a pastry. Both were good. Nice staff. Fair prices.

Andrea is such a gentleman and his customer service is great. The lasagna was amazing - multiple layers of fresh pasta, beautiful bechemel and bolognese sauce with no detail spared- including the carrots. It tasted better than any lasagna I had in Italy and I ve visited multiple regions. The cannoli were beautiful as well. I love the lemon tinge in the sweet, ricotta center that s not overpowering at all and just elevates the taste and he s really mastered the outer crust that remains completely crispy. I would definitely go back!

People are nice, but the babka was very dry, especially considering it was $19.

Its really bland and not worth it. I got 3 items, 2 croissant sandwich, 1 chocolate eclaire, and they all tested pretty bad. Croissant was very cakey, and eclaire was just tasteless. Very disappointed for the price. I do not recommend.

Chef Andrea did a home private dinner experience for my husbands birthday. My husband LOVES Italian food (especially tiramisu) and Andrea did not disappoint. He helped me to construct a menu for the evening together and advised of excellent wine and cocktail pairings. Everything was delicious and organized. Andrea was so friendly and made the experience really fun. It was so nice for the 2 of us to have a date night as we have 2 kids under 2 and arent really able to go out. If you are looking for amazing food and a fun experience I highly recommend!!!

I needed a birthday cake for my friend last minute, and this place pulled through. I usually dont go for Tiramisu in other places because its too sweet. However, since my friend loves coffee, I ended up opting for this. It was so good. We devoured the cutely decorated cake. The owner and his wife run the shop and were really nice too. Im definitely going back for more. Aiming for the cookies next! ***NEW UPDATE I had to go back for Tiramisu again (too good). This time for a bigger birthday party, hosting about 17 people. The cake was as usual really good. Everyone was really impressed; there were no leftovers. I highly recommend this store as the taste is not compromised and the price is just right.

I had to call last minute outside of the store hours to make an order for the same day to be delivered at by sons daycare. Everything Ive ordered from here is delicious. Ive had the veggie lasagna, cannelloni, eggplant parma, fruit tarts, tiramisu, cookies, and so much more! Definitely the best bakery in the area and the warmest owners - Andrea and Abby make all their customers feel so special. Very interesting and innovative flavors. Loved the avocado chocolate filled cookie and the Nutella tart. Walked in for a treat and was surprised at the many new options. There are some other flavors that Im looking forward to trying like the cream-filled croissant and the spinach cookie. Price is reasonable and can order coffee too.

We went here yesterday for their cannoli, ordered a half dozen of these and should have ordered more! The flavours were fresh and theres a good assortment of them. The owners were very friendly and warm. After being cooped up at home for so long, going to this place for a quick mid-afternoon snack made our day. This bakery makes the most amazing cakes, cannolis, and cookies - all innovative recipes. For my birthday, my partner ordered the most amazing Tiramisu cake from here - it was delicious! They also have the best sandwiches for lunch. Chef Andrea and his partner Abby are absolute gifts to the neighborhood. This bakery is a must visit!

Sweetcultura is new to the neighbourhood but has already made it s mark. The local bakery excels at not only producing mouth-watering sweet treats like cannolis, cakes, and cookies, but savoury dishes as well. Chef Andrea prepares pasta, meat, and veggie dishes, and fantastic sandwiches and breads. The lasagna is a personal favourite! If you haven t yet discovered Sweetcultura yet, you are missing out!

Go for the mouthwatering lasagne bolognese or mushroom variety which are the best Ive had outside of an Italian mothers kitchen, but stay and see all the beautifully made desserts. Custard and chocolate croissants are just as stuffed as they can possibly be and their original cookies might sound a bit odd but they are just so satisfying. I dont have the waistline to try everything and I hope I can try everything at some point but they havent failed me since I started showing up a year ago. Andrea and Abby are as sweet as their desserts too. While my hips and stretched pants might not thank them, my heart definitely is so happy to visit this beautiful bakery regularly.

I was on my way to visit a friend, A, who is the live-in sole care-giver for her very elderly mother, S. (pandemic precautions taken, promise). As a surprise, I picked up a penne a la vodka to share. S, who normally eats little, ate half the container; A had the rest, and said that it was the best penne a la vodka she had ever tasted. Two weeks later, I took over gnochi with garganzola and walnuts: repeat experience. Ill be honest, I still havent tasted the food myself; I havent had a chance. But given that A now asks me to bring over dinner every time, it must taste pretty darned good. (And $10 for a portion that should easily feed two is a steal).

The brief interaction during the delivery process left me feeling that Sweet Cultura is run by very warm and inviting individuals. If you are looking to support local during this trying time, run, dont walk to support this bakery!

The cannolis taste good, but I have to point something out that happened today The woman named Abby (sic?) behind the counter charged me for an extra third cannoli which I did not ask for. In fact, she clearly told me she was giving me this one for free, which I took as a kind gesture Imagine my surprise when I was going over the receipt at home to find that she charged me all the same for the extra cannoli, which I never even asked for! This is such a weird and shady business practice on her part Please dont pull something like this again on unsuspecting customers, Sweetcultura. Shame on you!

Love this place. My two kids love their mozzarella and tomato wraps as well as all of the goodies they sell. Abby was kind enough to give us a free cookie for my daughter to try. Can t say enough good things about this place.

Over the past year we have had a few complete special occasion dinners, some celebratory desserts and many sweet and savoury treats from Sweet Cultura. Every thing has been delicious and it would be hard to pick a favourite. Abby is an excellent baker and Chef Andrea makes authentic Italian food. They are both charming and provide lovely customer service. It s a great spot for a takeout lunch, sweet treat or complete dinner. An excellent addition to the neighbourhood.

Love this place! Super friendly people! We get ready-made dinners there and also stop in regularly for their yummy garlic bread and challah bread. Their cannoli desserts are also so yummy and they have great variety.

Amazing pastries, good variety of those with seasonal fruits/berries and special dishes for special occasions/holidays. I also enjoyed variety of the homemade frozen foods, i.e. meatballs and sheppard pie. Highly recommend!

I have tried everything from the cannolis, danishes, cookies, biscotti, croissants, tarts, cakes, breads, sandwiches, soups and pastas. I cannot get enough of this place. Everything is homemade and fresh. That first bite always tastes like youre in Italy. I cannot thank them enough for providing me with delicious, hearty meals throughout my work day, evenings and weekends. Their customer service and level of professionalism is exceptional. I cannot emphasize that enough. They go above and beyond to please their customers. They are the friendliest people you will encounter in this neighbourhood. Today is our first time to the bakery, and everything we got was so delicious! Challah bread and cannoli were super fresh. I love how the pastries are not too sweet and the flavour was so balanced. Delicious, well made and always fresh Cannoli, pasteries and breads. The lasgna is great too. Finally a real Italian bakery, nothing is too sweet. And they did a great job with my birthday cake - berry tiramisu. A must visit in Midtown Toronto.

Sweet Cultura represents every thing beautiful with the art of baking and food in general. Our go to pick here is the Challah bread which is always fresh off the oven, perfectly braided and baked. The cannolis - especially the ones with pistachio and hazelnut filling are a must have and certainly recommended. Truly a hidden gem !

A delightful spot to be get the best desserts in midtown. I have been a regular at this place and every time I visit them, I discover new additions to menu. Started with mouth watering cannolis , babka (the best I ever tasted) and Strawberry Zeppole and now having the Pasta and soups... This place has always been my favorite. I love the flavors created by Chef Andrea and his wife. I would recommend everyone to visit this place.. its a hidden gem at the corner of Eglinton and Mt Pleasant. Keep up the good work and Thank you.

Waw This place is a hidden gem not to be overlooked. I work in the construction site across the street, and I come here every time for lunch. Amazing deliciously prepared authentic Italian sandwiches, desserts that ll satisfy any sweet tooth, and the Italian gentleman who runs the place is very kind and generous.

The perfect place for very reasonably priced sandwiches, that are also really tasty! Love the chicken, smoked cheese and eggplant sandwich, delish! Also, great cannolis!

Not bad. My disappointment was that Tiramisu cake did not have Ladyfingers biscuits soaked in coffee and liqueur inside as it should be in the classic recipe, so it lacked the flavor to me.

One of the best danishes Ive ever had, and Im an Italian from New York city! Raspberry Danish was incredibly fresh (still warm), custard was executed very well, pastry was flaky. Textbook perfection. Pistachio cannoli was also delicious and fresh, chocolate chip cookie with filling had a delicious and delicate crunch. Very impressed with the quality and freshness. Owners learned how to do pastry in Italy, and its obvious. A class above any bakery Ive tried in Toronto, and I tried a new bakery ever day!

This is a takeout shop which is partially obstructed by the TTC work of the Eglin ton line. It has coffees, pastries, cakes and a variety of ready sandwiches. The items that I got were various conollies, s blueberries pastry, a filled crousant and a savory (mushrooms) pastries. The photos are from 2 different visits to try their products. I liked the conollies but I found that the other items were not very tasty.

LOVE Sweetcultura! Their sandwiches are exceptional and my favourites are the eggplant sandwich and the cranberry sauce oat cheese (im craving! lol). 5 stars for the FRESHness of their food and 5 stars for Andrea & Abbys customer service. If youre in midtown this is a spot you cant miss!

I bought from there many things and I definitely love the quality of theirs products. I love the eggplant parmigiana, the walnuts/Gorgonzola paddies, the fruit tarts, the chicken rosemary sandwiches and probably the list can go on and on. Since they start making pastries I am very happy. It is a friendly, small store that brings the customers at the gates of Italy.

Not mulism friendly, doesnt know the law, Masks are required but not face coverings.... Will not support this treatment.

I ordered balsamic figs cookie, tiramisù cannoli and also the cannoli with ricotta, they were amazingly delicious, definitely will return to try the other stuff

I just discovered Sweetcultura a couple of weeks ago and we absolutely love it! Its a unique mix of pastries and treats and baked goods and has something for everyone from picky infants to picky grandparents. Highly recommended.

Wow, I recently tried a cannoli, pizza bread and the chocolate babka and it s all I ve been able to think about since. Chef Andrea is kind and the food/treats are delicious. I would highly recommend you support this local business (and they re doing free delivery right now!) I will be back to try lasagna, more cannoli, cinnamon babka and everything else... yum!

Sweetcultura may have just become my favourite Italian bakery in the city (and with all the amazing options here, thats saying something). It basically boils down to this: Chef Andrea knows his flavours. You could put a blindfold on me and Id be able to tell you what flavour the cannoli or cookie is - its that distinct and powerful and satisfying. My wife and I have had stuff delivered twice now, and both times were a big hit with our tastebuds and tummies. We got: - Cannolis: All assortments of flavours (I liked the ricotta, tiramisu and amarena ones the most). The filling was consistently smooth and creamy, and the shell was perfectly crunchy. - Cookies: Tried the mango cream and coconut ones. But were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. And wow did the flavours burst when you bit into them. - Chocolate Babka: A tad dry on the edges (though the inside was moist) but I loooooooooved how much dark chocolate there was swirling in and around the whole loaf. - Strawberry Tart (mini): Good amount of strawberries, really smooth base cream, and the shell was melt-in-your-mouth awesome. - Bolognese Lasagna and Garlic Bread: The lasagna was super cheesy, which I love. And the garlic bread, despite being delivered, tasted freshly baked and had just the right amount of garlic. Also, at $17 for a small tray of lasagna (good for 2-3 people), it was definitely great value for money. In addition, they gave us a couple of free mini samples to try: - Linzer Torte: Good quality raspberry jam with a nice nutty crust. - Torta Ricotta, Mascarpone and Chocolate Chips: Just the lightness of the cheese mixed with the sweet hits of the chocolate chips was a great balance. As you can see, weve tried quite a lot of the stuff on their menu, and every single one of them was a hit. Thats really really hard to do. Sweetculturas world may revolve around sweets, but its culture is surely grounded in excellence.

Weve used Sweet Cultura for a few family events and honestly, not only is the service amazing, its also made with love and the food is DELICIOUS. Honestly, some of the best Italian food Ive had in my life. If you are looking for catering or someone to help you feed your guests, Sweet Cultura is the right choice.

Truly a mid-town Toronto gem! The food, sweets and bread from Sweet Cultura are amazingly delicious! We discovered this place 2 months ago, and now we cannot stop going back! You should definitely try all the cookies and the cannolis. To top it all, the customer service is next level! The experience is very pleasant. Chef Andrea is very talented and humble. Cannot say enough. Just finished a mushroom lasagne, and I am transported. Im so happy A&A are in the neighborhood. If you see anything with the word bolognese on it buy it and eat it! If Im hitting the road north for the weekend I get a BLT, the better half likes roasted turkey. Both excellent quality. Oh! And there are cannoli, tarts, cookies, pies. I think I had a Bolognese rice cake, it was yummy... Like a custard rice pudding in a deep dish pie. But dont go here, I want it all to myself.

What a wonderful bakery. I walked in one day and bought their bread and cookies and I was thoroughly impressed. I have become a regular now. Their oatmeal-chocolate cookies as well as their double chocolate cookies are my favorite. It is economical and just wonderful. Andrea is a very nice, courteous man and it is evident that he cares about what he makes. The best part was I went one day and they had some bread and cookies but they did not sell it to me because it was old. That kind of honesty from a bakery makes you a returning customer.

A little piece of bakery heaven in Midtown! After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to stop in. I was not disappointed. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly owners (Chef Andre & his wife) and see an array of mouthwatering desserts and food. The cannolis are some of the best I have had in the city! The cheesecakes and eggplant parmigiana were simply divine. There is a reason for all of the 5-star reviews. So happy to have found this gem and so excited to go back for more! Highly recommended!

This bakery is a dream come true for the neighbourhood. Finally dropped by to check this place out yesterday and was blown away at the quality and variety of the products. Incredible pastries, cookies, cakes, pies, and all kinds of Italian desserts. Freshly baked bread and ready made paninos. Delicious and authentic prepared trays of lasagne, eggplant parm, and other stuffed pastas. Finally, warm and friendly service by an owner who is clearly extremely passionate about what he does. Ill be back!
