790 Kennedy Rd, Toronto, ON M1E 2M6, Canada
An authentic Bangladeshi halal restaurant serving biriyani, kabab, and steak. Ghoroaa Restaurant originally established in 2004 in Toronto's Bangla Town neighbourhood along the Danforth opens its doors to a dine-in focused establishment in the heart of Scarborough.
The first time we went, we ordered mejbani beef with pulao and we absolutely loved the dish. The portion size is too less for two people. Second time when we went we ordered biye bari pulao roast and kacchi biryani and both didn’t taste anything like we expected. It was pretty bland and my husband had a bad stomach ache after eating the food. It would be nice if they would increase the portion sizes. Overall the ambience and presentation was nice, hopefully the food improves too.
This restaurant was on the top of my to-go list for a while and I had the perfect opportunity to go. The food was amazing and reminded me of the food my friends’ parents would make growing up. We got the mutton curry platter, the biye bari polao roast, the puchka as an appetizer, and I got the borhani to drink, which I recommend for anyone that wants to try a spicy, salty, and creamy drink.
Asif was EXCELLENT with us! Super attentive and efficient employee. As I saw him work, I saw how much he paid attention to the kitchen and the guests in the front! The food was excellent and I come back everytime I’m in Toronto! You guys need to branch out to Montreal!! I have yet to taste another proper Biye Bari Roast somewhere else!!
Great place for bengali food in Scarborough area. Same taste as the Danforth location with a much better ambience. Asif was great in serving us as well as recommending us great foods. Will visit again surely.
Ambience, Food and Service is very good here. We ordered Beef Tihari, Biye Bari style Chicken roast & our favourite Burhani drink. Their Saturday Sunday special Mutton kacchi biryani is a must try. We were served by Fahim a very gentle and quick to our needs. Great place, must visit for some Bangladeshi carvings to be quenched.
Delicious authentic Bangladeshi food, and exceptional hospitality! I watched two servers, go out of their to wait and hold the door for an elderly customer, and again for my mom as she has trouble walking. This kind of care and consideration shows how much the team values every customer. We ordered the Kolija Shingara, Fuchka, Jhal muri, Biye Bari roast/polao, and Kala bhuna with polao, both main items came with complimentary salad which is rare these days. We could smell the aroma of the polao as soon as we stepped in and it didn't disappoint! Every item we tasted was 10/10. We loved the interior decor too and the Bangladesh map display outside. We had a great experience and cannot wait to come back with more friends.
Just one word amazing. I have had the best beef Tehari in my time in Toronto. I have tried many places before but never got a chance to visit this place in Toronto which I have heard a lot about. But yesterday with my Bengali friends group we went for dinner on Sunday evening. The ambience is good and so are the service people. I’m sorry I don’t remember the lady’s name who was serving us but could grab the name of Asif while they bid us for the night . Thank you so much for your humble service Asif and the sweet lady. We loved the ilish polau as well which we ordered and not to forget the cham cham sweet. Overall we had a good dine in experience. It’s good that this outlet is open and it has ample seating space for people with large groups. As I remember we once went to the danforth outlet and we couldn’t go in as it was packed . Also easily accessible to line 2 for us as we live in downtown. Just around the corner from Kennedy station, which makes us come back here soon.
Everything about this restaurant is top notch. Staff held the door open for us when we entered. The place had an upscale yet homey ambiance with little details/decorations throughout giving it a Bangladeshi feel. Super friendly employees provided exceptional service throughout the evening. And the food… amazing in both presentation and taste! We ordered a few different dishes, including the boti kabab, Bihari kabab, chicken dum biryani, and more. But my favourite was the fuchka - definitely give this a try. I will go back just for that alone. Overall 11/10 would recommend. And the owner is a classy guy too!
Their Mejbani meat is not like actual Mejbani, it was tasted like normal beef curry and we didn t like it! No taste smell nothing We tried the bhuna khichuri but the daal wasn t cooked properly but the soft Khichuri was good . We also had their Beef kabab it was old and dry no taste at all After checking all the postive reviews we went there but it was so disappointing!!
The most unprofessional people are working and foods were absolutely not tasty, except Ghoroaas special chaa.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghoroaa Kennedy, and it was truly an exceptional experience! The moment I stepped in, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who made me feel right at home. The food was simply outstanding! I ordered the Mejbani With Polao and Beef curry with naan, and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich, bold, and expertly balanced, with each bite a masterclass in culinary art. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was visually stunning. But what truly sets Ghoroaa Kennedy apart is the impeccable service. Fahim was excellent and he was so generous and kind. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and modern decor that added to the overall ambiance. In short, Ghoroaa Kennedy is a must-visit destination for any food lover. The combination of exquisite cuisine, exceptional service, and welcoming atmosphere makes it a truly unforgettable experience. I cant wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings! Keep up the fantastic work, Ghoroaa Kennedy! Youve earned a loyal customer in me!
Delicious food and very good service. Must try
Excellent food. Must try their kebab and Tehari. Excellent customer service. Food
Service and atmosphere is great. Food seemed stale and pudding was burnt and bitter in taste. They did not charge for pudding once complained. The tea is worst. Chicken roast and fish was stale and smelled.
food was really good. Specially the beef tehari and polao roast is best amongst all of them..
I visited this place with my family for dinner I like the environment and their hospitality. Food also very good Food
Mezbani beef and kalabhuna beef was really good , taste good
Woo nice food I had a Dum birayani amazing with nice environment....
This is a heads up that reviews are not always believable. Our friends dined in the restaurant and we got the takeouts, each of us almost spent 40$ per person because we went toronto to just have foods in diff restaurants. Their ambience and decorations are good but taste was not up to the mark as the prices! We took roast polau for both dine in and takeaway , they gave us eggs with it in dine in , but not in takeout boxes, i know its not a big deal but when you are paying that much money you expect that they will take care of each of your orders and you dont have to miss on any items. I hope the taste gets better, Vortas , hash vunas were so bland. I had to cook it again with spices. Anyways worth an experience i guess!
Today I tried Beef tehari and mutton kacchi biriyani the Food was amazing and their service was very fast. Excellent customer service. Strongly recommend this place
Having seen the reviews here, had high hopes going in to this place. Walked in to have a late lunch because I was in the area on an errand, and this was the most feasible option (the surrounding area has way too many dubious looking hole in the wall spots). Cons: ordered the beef teheri and chicken chop (basically chicken tikia). Mind you, a lot of the raving reviews praised the beef teheri, so I thought this was a safe bet. Wrong. It was so flavourless and dry. Poor on seasoning overall. The beef pieces were rock hard, and clearly overcooked. They were extremely dark in color, technically burnt, and super chewy. There was no hint or taste of mustard oil or even that fragrance you expect from green chilis in the teheri. Had to order a raita on the side to bring some moisture to the dish, it was so dry. My rating is purely based on this single dish, as it is pricier than the other things that I ordered, and is a main entree item. So naturally, one does expect that it would taste good. It didnt. I did leave a significant portion of the teheri behind. Would have probably left more if I wasnt so hungry. Service was fine, but it was hard to get the attention of the servers, especially since it wasnt that very busy. Pros: the chicken chop was decent and the only saving grace. I would have been better off ordering 4 of these for lunch, and maybe a spring roll or two. Dudh chaa was decent too. What works in this restaurants favour is the space inside. There is ample enough seating, the space is big enough, and that is a rarity for Bangladeshi restaurants in Toronto. This review isnt meant to hurt anyone or anyones business, but just an urge to make improvements or do better with the dishes you sell. Good luck!
Ordered weekly meal bundle, the food was very disappointing! Goodluck
Great service Asif was very helpful and nice
I ordered something they send me something else when I check the substitute my order without knowing me
Food is over priced and small portions. doesnt taste authentic at all. wouldnt go there again.
I had a delishous gluten free dinner. The portions are generous & the staff was very attentive. Dietary restrictions: I appreciate that they accommodated my gluten-free restrictions, especially that they checked with the chef on all the ingredients.
We had dinner last night. It was amazing. We ordered Mutton kachchi biriyani, Mutton with rice daal, vegetable and bhorta, fuchka, parata , lotpoti, borhani. Portions were more than enough and the price was reasonable. It is one of the best restaurants among Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani restaurant. Yes we will go there again
My first time here and definitely won t be the last. Love the Biye Bari Palao and Fuchka. The place was lovely and clean. Our server, Fahim, was attentive and friendly.
Amazing family run place with excellent service. They made sure to recommend vegetarian options, and service was fast, and efficient. Explored traditional Bengali cuisine, which is outside my usual south Asian fare. Tried the Puchka, Veg Briyani, eggplant Sabzi, lentils with Lauki, mishti doi, traditional chai, and everything was delicious
The food was very yummy and gives homely taste. The ambience was so serene. Best place.
Every plate we got was immaculate, the Kachi Mutton was cooked sooo well, I was so impressed by how tasteful and soft it was 11/10 would recommend. The service was amazing, we were greeted & seated in a couple moments and our server Asif was great to us and served us perfectly. Loved every bit of my experience here. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere, the decoration is all beautiful and thoughtful.
Food was excellent. Generous servings, friendly staff fresh ingredients.....over all my experience was great
Their new location s food taste so bad. They gave us old cooked beef mezban and also quantity is so small. And price is too expensive. But customer service is very top notch.
Yesterday I went & had my lunch there with my family. The Beef Mezban & Hilsha fish taste was so bad. They gave us old cooked Beef Mezban. They gave us aslo Hilsha Bhortha. But taste was too poor. The Service was very good.
If you have changed your chef, bring them back! I paid 62 dollars for a dry, hard to chew, kacchi and extremely average shorisha ilish meal. Extremely disappointed and felt wasted my money big time. I was a big fan of the kacchi u serve at this location.
Best place to have deshi cha, singara, puri with deshi music and environment
Amazing experience, must try.
Balanced portion of food and delicious too, they have a modern decoration with nice family restaurant
Good interiors Quick service Great good Must try Fuchka and Veg Singhara
Beautiful restaurant, food was awesome very warm and friendly staff
Food was very tasty. Friendly atmosphere
Wonderful place with great food representing country culture and with great service.
Delicious...... We tryed Bhuna Kichuri and the taste was just rememberable they serve Achar with our khichuri Its taste like homemade And she i mean Jahfina (Accept my apologize for spell your name on wrong way) She was so polite with her beautiful smile. Heared Shes a student. Wish her a bright future. Impressed
I tried there Chicken Dum biriyani it s very delicious and the owner khokon abbas is a very good man. Thank u for the hospitality will visit Soon.
Dam biriyani was so good. Perfect spices , flavour. Nice decorated restaurant
After trying couple of things I really have to say the taste is so bad consistently.
We had breakfast thali on Saturday followed by masala cha. The food was so delicious and the service was really great, too! As we entered the waiter (Asif) opened the door with a big smile that was very welcoming! For take away we took kacchi biryani, singara, aloo chop, moglai parata, halim, and Cham Cham. Sharing some of our opinion on the food. Breakfast thali items, aloo chop, moglai parata, singara, chum chum were perfectly cooked and flavoured was amazing. Kacchi beryani was best in town but not the kacchi we have in Beye Bari. Halim tasted like Radhuni Halim . Masala Cha Must needs to improve its taste. Restaurant ambience was nice; Asif was an amazing boy who served the items with care. From outside to inside restaurant was playing Bangla songs (we have experienced Bangladeshi restaurants playing Hindi songs!!). We loved this place because it wasn t just the typical dishes you usually find. Overall, surly the place made us feel homely. Worth a repeat visit! Shushmita and Nadim
If youre craving authentic Bangladeshi cuisine, this place is a must-visit! The food is great, capturing the rich flavors and traditional dishes perfectly. The service was outstanding, with a staff that was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The environment was clean, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning for more!
I took my non-Bangladeshi friend to experience home cooked Bangladeshi food for the first time and we were both wowed! From the service by attentive Asif, to the delicious bhorta platter and the dhoi fuchka we were licking our fingers clean. We enjoyed the kichuri and khala bhuna classics - meat tender and fresh. The spice level is just right if you re bringing new guests to Bangladeshi cuisine while also remaining flavourful. Great seating option for groups or people with strollers/ accessibility aids. Spacious parking lots right next to Kennedy station. I will be returning! Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious place to bring mobility aids, no stairs
The best authentic Bangladeshi restaurant in terms of taste and atmosphere I ve been to so far. The service was top notch. My family loved the food as well as the experience. FYI if you re recommended by someone about the Ghoroaa restaurant in Toronto, then this is the Ghoroaa you should head to, don t fool yourself by going to the other one.
Food 5/5 Staff behavior 5/5 Price 4/5 Yet, I gave 3 stars because there was deafening noise inside due to sub-standard interior design. A noise dampening mats are a crying need need. I plan to go back in a few weeks and will change the rating to 5 stars when I see the change.
Went for some street food and it was just like we used to have in Dhaka. Also their service was very helpful and kind. Fahim was our server, a boy from puran Dhaka gave amazing hospitality. Will go again to try something new. Thank you.
So glad Ghoroaa opened a bigger place. Food was great as always but the service was even more worth mentioning. We were a lot of people coming and going at different times ordering different things, but Asif took good care of our table and was always helping us out with anything we required. Thank you Asif and thank you Ghoroaa. Cheers!
We had breakfast in a group of people this morning. Couple of days back also had dinner with friends. Taste of food was good but not happy with the quantity of food. Unable to score high, need to increase of quantity of all foods. A mid size eater may satisfy the appetite but a big eater may not, pls be careful and this may not be your choice.
Had a really great time here. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I recommend the kala bhuna, khichuri, and kacchi.
Yummy bangladeshi food, fantastic service, nice presentation. Would come back!
Impressed by all aspects of this restaurant, from the welcoming atmosphere established by the employees to quality of the food. Ordered Biye Bari Polao Roast which was pretty good.
Its a new location, very neat with a good service. Food was excellent, specially kala bhuna with khichuri was very delicious. We were served by Mr.Fahim, got very good service. Hopefully they will keep it nice clean in future.
In short, delicious food, excellent service and pleasant atmosphere.
In the heart of Toronto, another amazing Bangladeshi restaurant, with some elegant and stylish seatings, and food presentation. The staffs are very friendly. Has plenty of authentic Chicken, Beef, Hilsa/Ilish and other Bangladeshi cuisine. And they even offer the Bangladeshi style vegetables cup consisting of cucumber, onion and tomato, which are the only veggies to Bangladesh lol . Definitely recommend the Ilish Polao as shown in pic
Best Bangladeshi restaurant in the GTA and possibly in Canada. The food is fresh and delicious, from the appetizers to the main dishes are all amazing. The staff are also absolutely amazing. Asif and Fahim helped me out the last couple times and they were so supportive, patient and thorough. The ambience in the restaurant is also very clean, nice and beautiful.
I really enjoy reviewing places with great food, and this one definitely lived up to the hype. We started with the Dal Puri, which brought back the flavors Ive been missing since I moved from Bangladesh. Next, we tried the Futchka, which was also good. Offering a spicier option could enhance the customer experience. Then came the Moglai Parota, paired perfectly with Milk Tea. It had just the right amount of crispness, wasnt overly greasy, and the tea was perfectly brewed, making it a memorable experience. We wanted to sit outside but couldnt because someone was smoking. It would be nice if the patio were smoke-free.
I recently went to Ghoroa Kennedy after hearing about it for quite some time. I did enjoy the food of the original Ghoroa long time back so I decided to give this a try as well. Firstly, I want to mention, I am so impressed with the presentation. They did a 10/10 job in presenting the food and making it visually appealing. Second, the service in this restaurant is top notch, the gentleman serving us was Fahim and he did a great job. The service at this location has always been consistent since my fiancé had been here before too and was he raves about the service. Lastly, you can have everything good BUT if the food is not good, then nothing will compensate for that. I ordered the Doi Fuchka shots (amazing) , Mughlai Porotha (2/10), regular fuchka shots (amazing) and biye Barir roast (4/10) and tea (amazing). The biye bari roast fell short because all I could taste was oil but no actual taste from good, and Mughlai porotha fell short because probably I can make a porotha at home and just slap some egg on it and tell you it s Moghlai. I don t like writing negative reviews for new restaurants because I understand they need some time to find their footing but Ghoroa has been a brand for so long and we expect better! Parking: Lots of parking
Me and my friends had our dinner at this restaurant. Excellent food and superb customer service.
Good food, good service! What else?
Samosas areee yuum yummm
Fahim, the employees service was amazing. He was gentle and has a nice behavior towards us. Food was great. We will return
First time tried Bangladesh food, it was good experience.. The atmosphere and service are good.. Asif suggested nice food options
Delicious food and mind teasers food varieties, Superb service by Mr.Fahim Food
Superb tasty Dum Biriyani and Doi deserts. Very good service from Mr. Fahim. Thank you so much for memorable time with good ambiance
The Ghoroaa restaurant environment is unique and every dish of Ghoroaa restaurant is tempting especially Tehari, Moghlai, Kachchi Biryani, Dai Fochka, Dum Biryani every dish is very delicious. Every dish in Ghoroaa is very well serving food.
We really enjoyed our dine in experience at Ghoroaa. The food was great and the service was amazing. Will definitely visit again. BTW: the achar they provide complimentary with the bhuna khichuri is super tasty.
Gloria s is an amazing restaurant and it serves the best Bengali food in Toronto. I ve tried the Salmon polao and Mutton kacchi Biriyani. Susmita was an excellent host. Cheers
I came for the dinner today. It was an amazing experience here. I tried Dum biriyani and Desi mutton Kacchi here it s very teasty. The owner is also very friendly and helpful. Asif and Fahim surved us well and they were very welcoming. Must comeing again .
Ghoroaa Kennedy is an amazing place for bengali food.I tried the Steak and it was pretty good. Fahim was a great host indeed.
The biye bari polao roast and kacchi were super amazing. This is a very nice place with classic ambiant.
Every time I visit Toronto, I visit Ghoroa restaurant in Danforth. Environment, food and hospitality - are all amazing. The owners: Alam bhai, Helen bhabi, Khokon and Raffi -are wonderful hosts. Ghoroa is the best Bangladeshi restaurant in Toronto. Dr. Mustafa
Awesome food, taste like bangladeshi food. Very friendly food server specifically Asif vai. Elish-polao was mind blowing.
Tonight we had dinner at Ghoroaa restaurant Kennedy. Food was yummy and Asif took really good care of us. A gentle request just to keep the washroom bit more clean if possible. Food
Clean, good ambience and excellent service from Imran in morning shift! Time and money well spent.
Was there by chance with a Bangali friend. I loved it. We tried the faluda, jilapi and the tea. Couldnt try the main courses as we already had dinner elsewhere. Loved the food and loved the decor.
I have tried kacchi And Biye bari polao roast doi fuchka all items are very delecious and the survers are very much friendly. Asif surved us very well thank you will visit again...
Ghoroaa Kennedy Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with its authentic Bengali cuisine. The flavors are rich and reminiscent of home-cooked meals, making it a perfect spot for those craving traditional Bengali dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, ideal for both family gatherings and casual outings. Whether its the delicious biryani, flavorful Samosas and Mughlai Parata, or the sweet treats, Ghoroa Kennedy Restaurant never disappoints. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy genuine Bengali food!
Ive been to Ghoroaa once, and I most definitely will be coming again! The environment is so welcoming, the food is tasty and the prices are great, the service is good as well - I highly recommend Ghoroaa to those interested in delicious Bengali cuisine as well as drinks. An extra benefit, is how the food(s) come with great portions especially for the price(s)!
I recently dined at Ghoroaa, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant, under the ownership of Khokon, offers an authentic taste of Bangladeshi cuisine. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal. I tried the signature dishes, including the flavorful biryani and the delicious fish curry, both of which were seasoned to perfection. Khokon s passion for Bangladeshi food is evident in every dish, and his warm hospitality makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you re in the mood for genuine Bangladeshi flavors, Ghoroaa is a must-visit.
Very poor quality of food! Over priced and no taste at all. If you want to waste your money, you can come here. I had Kata Masala Beef, which had no taste at all, seemed like boiled beef with some garlic pcs, the polao tasted like some leftover with onion crisps on top! And the chicken korma! Just horrible. I am never coming back here!
We were group of 5 and ordered 2 breakfast thali, Muglai porota, kala bhuna with khichuri, bihari kabab, fuchka, and chotpoti. The service and presentation was very good and the only good thing about it. Each and every item except for the muglai porota, omlette in the breakfast thali was bad. The potato of thali was raw, the kala bhuna was not a kala bhuna at all by looks or taste, the fuchka/chotpoti was overloaded with salt and the daal was seemingly stale, the bihari kabab was tasteless. All of us had problems with different items we ordered. We are regulars at Ghoroaa danforth and one of us went the Kennedy outlet for the second time after an equally bad experience before to give it a second chance. We informed our feedback to the staff and they assured that the owner has been informed and they will do the needful to improve quality. We will stick with the Danforth outlet and may not return to the Kennedy branch.
We really liked their decoration and Service. Also, the way they present the food. Their food quality is up to the mark, but there is room to improve in taste a bit. Though I really like their chicken roast and Polao. Prices are reasonable like the other ones. We really needed a bangladeshi restaurant in this place and really happy to have it there. I hope Ghoroa Will retain its reputation.
Ghoroaa s second restaurant is quite nice. The interior is done nicely with lots of seating space. They have a waiting area with seating for people waiting for a table. Food is good. Some items can be a little oily like kala bhuna but the taste is great. I tried the kala bhuna and polao roast. Both were delicious and the portions were good for the price. The service is great. The owner or manager was there and very polite. He walked around checking in on the customers. I had to wait so he apologized for not having chairs for us to sit while we waited. The servers were very attentive and even though they were understaffed, they were trying their best to provide a good service. A couple things that I didn t like. The customers were obnoxiously loud. They were talking so loudly that it was hard to have a conversation. It made the dining experience unpleasant. The washrooms need to be cleaned more frequently especially the sink.
What a fantastic venue. Great staff, great drinks and magnificent food. Make sure if you are in Scarborough to check this place out. Loved it. Try the Roast Polaw and Doi for dessert
After so many years finally found the real test of Bangladesh at this amazing Ghoroaa restaurant at Kennedy. So great, presentations, test and service. We will come again and again.
Good atmosphere, nicely presented and food are also good. This place has the potential to attract good amount of people, but issue is with the price tag. Not for every week kind of place. Best of luck.
I had a amazing breakfast, best in town Aloor Dum with Lucchi
Chicken korma is delicious. Love the tea, too.
Amazing food and service! Butter chicken not to be missed and the bread is to die for! The owner came up to our table and was very kind. Also gave us a complimentary tea (which was amazing)! Definitely a favourite spot of mine!
I visited Ghoroa at Kenndy with high expectations but was disappointed with the taste/quality of the food I ordered. When asked by the server about food quality I mentioned that Mughlai paratha could have been better as it lacked egg and onion stuffing. To put it into perspective, I tried Mughlai paratha at another Bengali restaurant in Danforth a few days ago and found their version to be better tasting with adequate stuffing. After hearing my feedback the server went on to defend saying they reduced the amount of egg stuffing as their customers wanted less eggs in Mughlai which I found lame. He further added that they at least use 4 eggs in 1 paratha which I found hard to believe. Advise to management- while you have a nice interior and great location you need to improve your food quality and customer service. Furthermore please train your staff to learn how to take feedback positively.
This Sunday I visited Ghoroaa kennedy its very well decorated and charming place i found in Toronto. I visited there with my wife and my 3 years old son. We tried the Muglai paratha, Daal puri , kolija singara as appetizer Daal puri and muglai was amazing. Last year i visited Bangladesh and tasted the same daal puri in Bangladesh so it reminded me the same back home flavour...! After appetizer in the main course we tried there biye bari polaw roast and mutton kaccchi biriyani. Kacchi was Superb teasty (but i felt it was lack of salt) otherwise taste was amazing. Biye bari polao roast was good but I would say it can be improve. Asif was our surver and he was very humble and caring. We ordered several times and changed our orders but he accepted that with a big smile he took a good care of us and also my little child. We requested to surve the biye bari polaw for my son as he was crying from hunger he just surved the order in 5 min. Thanks for the hospitality and surely visiting soon with family and friends.
Absolutely Delightful Experience at Ghoroaa Kennedy I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghoroaa Kennedy, and I am beyond satisfied with both the flavors and the authenticity of their dishes. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything is bursting with authentic Bangladeshi flavors that transported me back. The service was impeccable, with staff who were not only attentive but also made sure to accommodate all our needs with genuine hospitality. The balance of great food and excellent service made for an unforgettable dining experience. If youre looking for an authentic Bangladeshi halal restaurant that delivers both on taste and service, Ghoroaa Kennedy is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Environment is great. love the food and ofcourse its presentation is very nice. most importantly food is fresh. want to came here again.
Excellent family friendly environment, food was tasty. Impressed with the hospitality. Keep it up! Hope to visit again soon.
Ghoroaa kennedy is a great place. The food there is really good and the waiters are really nice and really understanding. Great place to hang out with friends and family. The bathroom is a little wet but I would recommend that you visit.
Amazing food! Everything was delicious and the service was too notch by Fahim!
The air conditioning sucks - big time. After paying this level of menu price - proper air-conditioning is expected during summer.
Amazing taste with authentic bengali food, those who are away from home and craving for bengali food can definitely come here your taste buds will be fulfilled.
Food, atmosphere, service everything was really good. Took my dad here who just came from Bangladesh, and even he was impressed by it all. Thanks to Asif who served us, an absolute gentleman, and an excellent server. Will come back for sure. Thank you guys for an awesome experience.
We finally made it to this restaurant for breakfast. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I will be returning with more family members to try the lunch and dinner menus
Very Good food and gave us very good service. Very responsive and interacted with us Very nicely. Thanks Ghoroaa for the servic3

Excellent food and service, huge parking
Had a great experience here. The food was delicious, and the restaurant was well decorated. Service was friendly. Highly recommend!
Good food and tasty. Nice service and atmosphere as well..
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghoroaa Kennedy, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The decor beautifully reflects the rich culture of Bengal, creating a cozy and authentic dining environment. The menu is a delightful journey through Bengali cuisine, offering a variety of dishes that cater to both traditional tastes and modern palates. I was particularly impressed with the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The Mishti Doi dessert was a heavenly end to the meal. The staff at Ghoroaa Kennedy are exceptional friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Their recommendations were spot on, and they made sure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Overall, Ghoroaa Kennedy is a gem in the heart of the city. Whether youre a long-time lover of Bengali cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant offers an authentic and delicious experience that you wont want to miss. Five stars all the way!
One of the most beautiful experiences ever. It is amazing to see authentic Bangladeshi cuisine so close to home. The service was beyond impeccable. The wait staff had the most amazing hospitality.
the food is amazing! their chaa is always hot and perfectly made. the kachi biryani has the most tender meat and a amazing flavor. the staff are so friendly and accommodating, consistently being helpful. you truly always feel like your needs are or will be met. the atmosphere is emphasized but the wonderful food and staff. it makes the experience amazing and especially nostalgic
Great service with delicious good.
Ghoroaa Kennedy chai tea is the best I ve ever had, no where else even comes close! Food and atmosphere is amazing, run by wonderful owners! Take all your family and friends:)
We went with about 12 ish people. Food, service was really wonderful! Plate portions were generous and quality was nice. Our favourite was kichuri with beef curry. We ll be back for more delicious Bangladeshi food.
I have become a regular customer here. Ghoroaa reminds me of home Because of its delucious Food. Keep Up The Good Work Best of luck
Foods are really authentic with pure Desi Aromatic spices. All the items are mouth watering and service quality is highly standard.
Amazing food and place!!
Best bangali food ever!
Fuschka was great . The chicken curry platter was good. Tea is good and real Bangladeshi milk tea.
Everything was fantastic. The food was fresh, authentic and really good tasting. My mim and wife also really enjoyed the Bengali touch of the food. Fahim was our server and host, and he was absoutely amazing. He kept checking up on us and was very caring towards my 4 year old daughter s needs. Vegetarian options: Lots of bhortas and other veggie options. Parking: There is a parking spot right beside the restaurant. There is also a plaza across the steet, if the parking gets really busy.
Great ambience, the food was great too and so was the service by Javed. Asked for an extra piece of potato with the mutton kaacchi biryani, he gave without any reluctance. We ordered, mutton kaacchi, chicken roast, borhani, chicken samosa, masala chai, mishti doi and chamcham. On an ending note, Id say, Gharoas first time is some other restaurants last time !!!
Food was great and definitely coming back!

The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and reasonable prices makes it a top choice for me and my family. Our overall experience is highly satisfying. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghoroaa Kennedy, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As a lover of Bangladeshi cuisine, I was delighted to find a place that truly captures the authentic flavors and traditional dishes. Food
One of the best place to eat and a special shoutout to Fahim and Jabed, whose friendly and respectful service truly stood out. They were attentive, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Its evident that a lot of care and attention to detail goes into the preparation of each meal.
This place is the best I have ever been to. There were two gentlemen named Jabed and Fahim who did their best to serve us. Without any hesitation, I can say I have never received better service. They were friendly and respectful with us the entire time.

I visited Ghoroaa Kennedy today and was very satisfied with the food. I tried the Beef Curry Platter, Mango Lassi, and Doi, all of which had an authentic Bangladeshi taste. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance, and staff assistance, especially the excellent hospitality provided by Fahim. I highly recommend this place.

Had a really nice experience. The staffs were really nice. Especially Asif who served us. Good job.
The environment is nice and tidy. We ordered mutton kacchi, kala bhuna, dal and beef. The beef was a bit good and the kacchi biryani was very bad. I couldn t eat kacchi.. The price of food is very high according to the quality of food.
I had the pleasure of having dinner at Ghorowaa Kennedy yesterday in our first family visit to Toronto. The Elish Pulao, Biye Barir Roast, Kala Bhuna, Fuchka, Doi & Chamcham was indeed mouth watering! The presentation of every dish was well thought of with a touch of culture, authentic taste and class. Service was humbled and eager to please the diners. Truly enjoyed the time and worth every penny!
Midrange!
Authentic Bangladeshi kachi.
Very happy and enjoy with amazing Bengoli food. Thanks to Anne and alomgir Vai.
This is an absolute amazing place for hangout. I highly recommend this place for authentic Bengali food.
Ghoroaa is absolutely an wonderful place for Bengali cusine. We had tried Kacchi , Ilish polao and Biye bati polao roast. Everything was superb and amazing in taste. Khokhon bhai was superb and hosted me. Fahim was an excellent host. Kudos
First time visiting this place and it was choice by one of our family members, The food was excellent for an Bangladeshi restaurant in kennedy. Me my wife really enjoyed both food and drinks and services was commendable. Despite it being a weekend, we were seated very quickly. I would definitely recommend this place if youre craving good Bangladeshi Kachchhi bryani and Futchka. The Garlic Naan bread is heavenly.
wonderful
Excellent food and service
Ghoroaa Kenedy is good for Bengali food. I tried the Salmon Polao. It was amazing. Fahim served us and he was excellent. Will visit again

Amazing service and authentic bengali food
Excellent food and service! Authentic Bangladeshi food..!
Amazing food and fast service
Absolutely amazing Bangladeshi cuisine. Feels like home.
Went to Ghoroaa Kennedy for an anniversary dinner with my partner, and I can say that the food, atmosphere, and service were all amazing! We shared the bihari kebab with garlic naan bread to start and, for the entree, shared the mutton kacchi biriyani. The portion sizes for both were plenty for the both of us, and the food tasted fantastic! I can highly recommend both of these dishes, and I cant wait to return and try more!
Atmosphere is really good. Minimal design but comforting. Food also good but pricer than old Ghoroaa
The food was amazing and the service was fast and reliable!
Overall, the food was amazing! We were seated fast and the service was relaible. We got the muglai parotha and kachi Biryani and the food came hot and fresh. The food was seasoned well! Highly recommend this place if you are looking to try out Bangladeshi cuisine.
Nice restaurant for Bangladeshi food
Excellent food and even better service. We ordered Biyer Barir polau and a single dish was enough for two adults. We also ordered Faluda and it was amazing. The waiters were extremely attentive and well mannered. Thank you!
I just had a birthday party for my baby today. Alhamdulillah, Her first birthday was perfect as the place was so good & the food was delicious as well. Im fully satisfied with their service & they are so cooperative. I love their hospitality. We got the flavour of biye bari
My first baby s birthday program was a blast. Highly recommend and appreciated their hospitality and service. I must mention Mr Khokon for his tremendous work. Their food is marvelous. Very specious and beautiful interior. My expectation to them is to please maintain this quality. It s really matter. Thanks to all of them.
Ordered Kala bhuna and Kata moshla beef platter, it was good. Asif was very humble to give proper service. But the cha does not taste like Home (Bangladesh).
Went for the first time this weekend! Twice on Friday night and then again on Saturday night. If that s not a sign of a great place then I don t know what is. The cha, doi fuchka, puri and momos were amazing and the service is top notch! Special shout out to Faheem and Asif who were the servers for both days!
Had the Soft Khichuri combo and the mejbani beef. Dishes were hot off the stove. Everything tasted perfect.
We loved their Fuchka and Doi Fuchka. However, I cant say the same for the other dishes we ordered. Kabab was pretty dry, and kacchi could have been better, as their competitors have better kacchi for sure.
Very tasty Kala bhuna a must try. Their mutton kachi words fall short to describe the taste with melt in the mouth mutton pieces. Special mention to Khokon the owner and Asif the server. Very happy. I did take out this time will dine in next time.
From the second I got out of my car and heard the very relaxing music playing from their speakers. I knew the vibe was just right upon entering your greeted by one of their friendly staff who then advises you to either sit at one of the very well put tables or pick up your order upfront as I did, upon receiving my order, I noticed the nice packaging and bag it was handed to me in once I open the package. I noticed that the butter chicken was perfectly coming out of the packaging without dripping anything from the sides because of the design of the plastic, you can tell they didnt cut costs anywhere. when it comes to the flavor, the texture it by far exceeds everything I have tasted so far , they set the new standard and have gained a new customer for life
We tried The Lal Vuna with Polaw. It was very amazing and loved the lal vuna so much. Special recommendation for the Lal vuna . Asif surged us very well thank you.
We were 4 persons and ordered different dishes to try and share to have variety of authentic Bangladeshi foods. The mezbhani beef was the best for me. I will give 10/10 for the beef. Mutton curry didnt met my expectations and there is room for improvement. Still the quality of meat and portion was fantastic. Ilish polau and korma polau were also standard and of typical bangali taste. At the end we had fuska shots and was good too. Tea was also typical home made taste. We were greeted by owner and also presented with complementary Jilapi. Had a fantastic experience and enjoyed the overall time there. Will definitely coming back.
Really delicious food, lovely atmosphere and very attentive service. Abbas the owner takes a lot of pride in what he does. The food is refined and portions are reasonable. Get the biriani.... delicious!
We enjoyed food. Food was amazing. Liked so much. Fahim was the best assistance.
I am really overwhelmed with tastes of authentic pure Bangladeshi food. I enjoyed a lot specially Beef Mejhbani and Lal Bhuna Just spot on. Being honest highly recommend by me.
Ambience and food are very good Fuska khelam, the decoration is as beautiful as it is to eat delicious
Changing my review to 3 star due to unreasonable price increase within less than 6 months of opening. Kid-friendliness: Comfortable atmosphere for family with kids.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghoroa, a Bangladeshi restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We indulged in a variety of dishes, each one more delightful than the last. The chicken curry platter was a standout, perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. It was paired beautifully with the fragrant Chinigura rice, which added a wonderful balance to the meal. The Mughlai paratha was a revelation, crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft inside, a perfect accompaniment to the curry. The samosas and aloo chops were delicious appetizers, crispy and bursting with flavor, setting the stage for the main course. We finished our meal with some traditional Bangladeshi sweets, which were the perfect end to a perfect meal. Each bite was a taste of authenticity and tradition, truly a sweet ending. What made our visit even more special was the exceptional customer service. Asif and Sushmita went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and knowledge about the dishes made our meal even more enjoyable. We were also fortunate enough to meet the owner, who took the time to personally talk to my wife and me. His passion for the restaurant and dedication to his customers was evident and greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ghoroa, for an unforgettable dining experience. We look forward to our next visit!
Bihari kebab and butter naan was super!
if you want a real Bangladeshi experience, probably the best in North America, this is the place. They have been around for more than three decades, this is an addition - with the same taste , but a better experience. Try everything Bangladeshi, no chikken tikka masala . Try the fuchka shot, the polao roast , the fishes. Try their brunch on weekends. It is that good that sometimes I miss Ghoroa when I am in Dhaka. Keep it up you guys!
I felt like I was back in Bangladesh. Highly recommend! Amazing food and staff :)
Excellent service and delicious food, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try authentic Bengali cuisine!
Amazing food, amazing service. Highly recommend this restaurant!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ghoroaa Restaurant on Kennedy, and it was an exceptional experience. As a Bengali restaurant, Ghoroaa offers an authentic taste of Bengal with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was top-notch. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends.
Today I tried there Beef tehari and biye bari Polao roast it s very delicious and the atmosphere looks so classic.
Its a authentic bangladeshi cuisine,. I found Lal Luna beef today which is bangladesh dhakaiya famous dish and also Elish Polao is so much Delicious feels like home. Loved the service and atmosphere with warm Bangladeshi hospitality.
It was my first time trying Bangladeshi food. The interior of the store was sophisticated and had a moderately exotic feel. I ordered the mezbani that I was interested in after reading the Google reviews, but it was a little too spicy for me to eat, but the owner, Keke, was worried about me and replaced it with a chicken curry that wasnt spicy. I did. Keke has always taken care of me. It was my first time trying a countrys cuisine, so I was very grateful to receive such consideration. Thank you very much. The chicken curry was not only not spicy at all, it was very easy to eat and very delicious. I think Japanese people really like this flavor. I forgot the name, so Ill attach a photo. The staff was also very friendly, and Fahim, the staff member, was very sincere in explaining about the dishes we didnt understand.
We had their Laal beef, chicken curry, dal, vorta and mix veg. Everything was delicious. Authentic taste of Bangladesh. The servers were really nice. The atmosphere is perfect for any gathering. The place was very clean and hygienic. Strongly recommend.
The family of two friends from Bangladesh wanted to invite us for lunch in Toronto. The first thing that came to my mind was the smell of home cooking. I suggested to them, lets go domestic. Aha! At the end of the meal, I was filled with panchamukhta praises for the familys food and the managements hospitality. Because I can refer them to a good restaurant.
Great place to eat Bangali food and thanks a lot to Asif for making the experience better.
I tried Lal mohon , ChomChom & Roshgolla Today Its very tasty and feels like back home. Its a authentic bangladehi restaurant I tried so far....!
Fantastic food, will return for more!
