I was here during halloween night. The patio seating is super cramped. The idea is to get as many foot in as possible. If the person next to me wants to leave or use toilet, I need to stop my meal and move my chair, bags to let the person leave. Food is mediocre. Ordered calamari, it tasted like Nofrills frozen, diet coke was watered down. Service is slow and unbearably noisy and loud music.

Here is the place that I go to most of the time. I love the food and I think the price with the portion of food is matched.

The staff is amazing everyone makes you feel more than welcome, the food is delicious (fish & chips, calamari, jalapeño poppers, wings, etc).... shout out to Lyndsey, Melissa, TJ, Caia, Crytel.

I love coming here to see the Drag shows after 11pm on weekends, the place can get really wild at times, but in a good way, not in a trashy bar sort of way. Its nothing like the bars in the Scarborough area, thats for sure. The staff there are kind and amazing, they look out for you and they definitely love to have fun with you as evident as the beautiful flower drawn on my arm by one of the bartenders. (Im so sorry but I forgot her name and I wanna game end myself for it ) Needless to say, memories will definitely be made if you go to the Garage. Drinks can be a little pricey but its worth it. The 18% is added to your bill and it is not correct because the customer is the one who rates the service and if you want to give more or less tip it is up to the customer, that is an abuse and the authorities should take action.

Great vibes however their food portions have severally decreased No longer filling. Been coming here for years to get tenders and as of late they are chicken nuggets, one bite or less. Will not being ordering food here anymore. I understand the price has food has gone up, but if your jumping your pricing then dont reduce the quantity of your food. Its one or the other.

Went for a couple of beers but brought the wrong card and couldn t pay the bill. Our amazing server, Tiffany, who was closing service kindly paid my bill. Later that evening I returned with the bill amount X 3 for Tiffany.

The place is ok and in the corner of the village which draws attention to sit in. The lady waitress, Krystal, was very pleasant, friendly and attentive. However, the food is horrrrrrible. SCAM literally more than 10$ for a baby beer serving in a plastic glass ( when other people having standard glass ) when another table ask for a real glass and change the content was half full .

Maybe I just got terrible food, but the chicken sandwich and Caesar salad were pretty terrible. Caesar was bland and the fake bacon on it was gross. The chicken sandwich was so dry I couldnt eat it and then the mayo they gave me to choke it down with they charged me for . Feel free to go for a drink and some drag, but avoid it if you want food.

I ve been here twice and both times the food was very mid. Prices aren t cheap but the food quality is. Staff is friendly but a little aloof with attentiveness. It s clean and nice inside but that s not enough to make me come back again.

She charged me 30$ for 2 coronas (hello?) and I asked her for a receipt and instead she gave me 5$? There s clearly a scheme going there.

Careful when paying at the bar! They will add a 20% tip on the credit card machine without telling you and only ask you to tap. I wonder how much tip they give themselves when people are drunk

Im in the bar for the pride and the bar woman put around $4 tips and then they give you the machine directly for you pay with the tap of your credit/card, ask the bill and you will see it by yourself. After the guys who was serving he was saying us thats obligatory the 8% but see by yourself in the law, this was absolutely lie, its no obligatory and then we decided to leave because we were so uncomfortable in this place, I dont recommend this place if you want to get stealed your money.

During Pride, on the busiest day of the weekend following the parade, the atmosphere was electric. Despite the high demand, the service was remarkably swift, and the food was exceptional. Our server, Lyndsey, delivered impeccable service with a warm and friendly demeanor. I was thoroughly impressed!

Came here Sunday night for pride and had an experience that boarders on homophobic. I get that its busy, but adding 10$ to every item on the menu feels a little tacky when also everything comes out cold and tasting mediocre at absolutely best. If youre going to upcharge to this extent for a busy night the quality better at least be consistent. 225$ for 5 drinks, two burgers and nachos and we walked away incredibly disappointed. Garage is fine normally, but I dont think Ill be coming back after this.

My friend and I had a nice dinner here on Thursday. The weather was great so we sat on the patio. Great service and nice selection of bar food.

This is a place my partner and I go to regularly and have enjoyed. Today, however, we came to have drinks, get some apps, watch the leafs game and enjoy the drag show but were asked to leave by the lady behind the bar to make space for people coming in after we were asked if we wanted another drink and said we were good. We were seated at the bar, there were plenty of empty seats around us and no line up at the door. We weren t disrespectful, tipped our servers and weren t being obnoxious in any way.

Horrible! Too much attitude by staff and owner. Ended up having an amazing night at OGrady across the street. The owner is still an overblown testosterone egomaniac that is not inclusive

It was a cold, damp day (suitable for web footed friends) & I was damp & feeling peckish. The pleasant young waiter was bright spot that afternoon. Helpful with menu choices & attentive. The ravioli in red sauce with a Stella hit the mark.

Visited last Saturday while in town to see a show and had dinner here. It was absolutely phenomenal!!! Our server (not sure of the young mans name) was spot on, and thats high praise from another server whose standards are high. The food was fantastic best deep fried cauliflower Ive had in my life! Will definitely be back next time I am in Toronto.

NEVER BEEN TREATED so bad in a bar in my whole life. EXTREMELY RUDE. You need to know we orderes around 30 beers and the kicked us out because we were not asking for expensive drinks although it is expensive. Service is rude and although we filled the bar they treated us bad, without respect and they threatened that they would kick us out only for not spending as much as they want. The account was more than 350 just for everyone to know. Would not recomend anyone to come to this bar as they treated us like if they did not need the customers. From my experience when you spend in a bar you are the one doing the favour not the other way around. NEVER been treated like this in my whole life

We went to the Garage for brunch, but unfortunately the hours on the website were inaccurate and we arrived too late. Apparently brunch ends at 2:30 not 3:30. Nevertheless, we had a lovely lunch. The large side patio was packed, because it was a sunny day, so we opted to eat inside. The place was a bit understaffed, however, the servers were friendly and efficient as they flew about the restaurant. There are a number of veggie options on the menu, which are indicated by a green leaf. It s always nice to have some veggie choices that are clearly marked and don t require a special order. I had the penne à la vodka, which was delicious. The cream sauce was neither too watery, nor too rich, and the garlic bread was freshly cooked. My dining companion enjoyed his spaghetti carbonara as well, although he said the chicken pieces were unremarkable. I ve been to this restaurant a number of times, and I ve never had a bad meal or poor service. Easy to recommend.

Visiting from out of town , and a bartender from another bar told me to go here for lunch. It was sat afternoon around 2pm. Not crowded at all. So I sit out side and wait for a menu or even for someone to acknowledge me... I waited and waited , as several servers walked right by me. I waited for 25 min , and finally gave up and went somewhere to eat. Before I sat down outside , I went in, and asked someone if I needed to wait to be seated or just take an empty table. The blond guy who was a server said just take any table ( there were many open ) He was so rude and nasty to me and I felt like he was so bothered that I would even ask him a question. So I take a seat , he walks by several times and doesnt even say , 0h someone will be right with you . After 25 min , I just left. Wont be going back to this bar on my next visit to Toronto The staff at woodys and the black eagle were very pleasant and nice ! Toronto is such a great city , and everyone I came in contact with was super nice .... Exocet for this server. He may have just been having a bad day ....

Went for the patio experience and was not disappointed. Our server was incredibly polite and accommodating. Made sure I got my preferred drink of choice (Hot chocolate) and made it well too! The veggie wrap I got along with surprisingly good as well.

Garage Bar Church Street in Toronto had friendly members of staff serving drinks and entertaining drag queens. The drinks were decent and fairly priced, in my view. We never got to try the food here but it looked and smelled good during our visit. The place has got good atmosphere but we found the Garage to be too loud at times. Overall, we re happy with Garage Bar in Toronto and would recommend this place.

Had a truly wonderful time on the patio! The kfc cauliflower bites were amazing! I didnt love my chicken tenders but Im a notoriously picky texture eater so I wouldnt hold my opinion with too much weight in that regard! The service however was amazing, Matthew was so kind, engaging, fun, overall the total package as a server! Would come back just to hangout! Will definitely be back next time Im in the city!

Ive been coming here for Steve-Ohs karaoke nights on Wednesdays. The staff are great! Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere While I havent personally tried any food, fellow guests have done so and have enjoyed it.

Had a great evening here for some drinks. Went on a Saturday and the drag show was fantastic and the patio is perfect. Service was top notch very quick and friendly Had a great time and would definitely go back.

This pub is in a nice location and it is worth a visit just to sit with a drink and watch the world go by on Church St. We went for lunch on Burger day and the burger was good, but with so many other choices in the area, there are better options around. The food was fine and the service was good.

I was there for dinner with my sister and thee of my nieces. The service was excellent, the food was great an a everyone left very pleased with the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: I was glad that my one niece who is 12, was able to dine with us. Because it is a licensed establishment.

I recently had the steak sandwich at Church St Garage, and it was an exceptional experience. As a frequent visitor to their restaurant, I can confidently say that Chef Ashraf is the heart and soul of this establishment. Without his culinary expertise, I wouldnt consider going back. The food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Ill definitely be ordering it again soon.

The chicken wings were very under seasoned, and the sauces weren t very flavourful. The fries flavour was actually quite good but they were so soggy it didn t matter. Hopefully other items are better.

The manager (or whoever manages the entrance of people) was extremely rude to organize the situation of the entrance of people. There were seats at the table where I was, my friends could get in and she said they could only get in if she was sure that my friends had consumed more than the other people waiting in line My friends were very upset that we didnt manage to get together on the day we had agreed to go out. And yes, our table spent more than 500 dollars and we probably would have spent more if the manager hadnt been so rude and tactless towards the customers... unfortunately the first Halloween in Toronto could have been better...

Not only is the atmosphere so welcoming and warm, the staff takes EXTRA care of the performers! I was at a brunch today with my sis and when I tell you staff made her feel happy, appreciated, SAFE, and just gave all around good vibes. Youll never find a better venue on church st. Pros: Our server was great, lovely individual kind and super helpful and attentive Cons: The food and drinks were horrible. My partner got Avocado Toast. It looked like a 5 year old put it together. The bread wasnt toasted. (How you have Avocado toast and not toast the bread especially rye bread at that. It was toppes with a few slices of Avocado, a tomato slice and cucumber. Thats it. Dry and bland. And somehow $17. I got eggs Benedict and was served broken hollandaise. How you serving people a broken sauce. The most visual sign that the sauce wasnt made right at all. Looked like oil and water trying to mix. And to top it off the $4 mimosas tasted watered down. You know when you get orange juice and you forget to shake it up, you pour it over ice and then the ice melts then you decide to drink the orange juice. Thats what the mimosa tasted like. And no bubbles. Just watery juice. So if you go my recommendation is eat and drink before you go. So when you go you can enjoy the drag show while drinking water. Cause at least that was good...if you like water without ice at room temperature

Just randomly walked into this place and what a discovery. The food and service was amazing. My husband and I had the chicken pot pie...delicious.
