Generally could use more spice Cabbage - 9/10 - crunchy, tasty Mini lamb - 8/10 - tender, good balance of fat and lean, could use more cumin and spice Mini beef - 7/10 - not enough spices, just salty Squid tentacles - 4/10 - tiny portion, came out lukewarm. Asked for it to be rewarmed and it was microwaved. It became hard and barely edible. In reality a 4.5 here, but I will say this place has a whole bunch of highlights, including some of their signature popular dishes that were frequently ordered, which were very affordable and plain delicious! My experience wasn't a 5 star mostly because of what I have personally ordered. My friends were good with this type of food and ordered everything but the silkworm chrysails, which I ordered. Since one of my friends and I were both from the region that the restaurant represented, we knew exactly what to go for to share, and we ordered everything from 爽口莴笋丝 which is the asparagus to the 五花肉酸菜 which was the sauerkraut with pork. Everything was tasty and small in portion, so if one had a big stomach, he/she would need to order a lot to get full, which wasn't a problem for me at the time, so I just ordered the silkworm chrysails. However, the silkworm chrysails were off, as they were not only small, which pretty much meant that the flavor was too condensed to th point of tasting like burning, with not much substance inside the cocoon skin. So basically I was almost just eating crispy skin which wouldn't make the dish complete. Also, I usually had the dish not only with much bigger silkworm back home, but also with black colored ones instead of these tiny golden ones. It was slightly disappointing. Still, I must admit that EVERYTHING ELSE was fire, and I would still highly recommend whoever around the area to come here, as long as ensuring that the right items are ordered. There could be other items that were off, too. Something that didn't rub me off the right way was that maybe because they were busy, but our waitress constantly approached us to take our tablet (ordering machine) away, even if we were not finished with ordering everything yet. And whenever we expressed we wer not done yet, our waitress would just walk away without saying anything. I get that Chinese restaurants would compromise service and it's cultural, as we focus on food flavor the most, but I still want to point it out in case anyone reading this cares about it. However, it did not play a factor into my review because Chinese restaurants in general can be like this and that's okay!
One of the best Chinese BBQ place in downtown area 💕my friends and I really enjoyed the food here and trust me they have the best chicken skin! Super crispy and good quality. They also added some cold dishes recently and they are very delicious too:)
The service is excellent, and the servers have a lot of attention to detail. The food was spicy, flavorful, and good portions. The ordering system through the tablet was easy to use and navigate. Just a tip not all the skewers are in the BBQ section of the menu, so be sure to browse around the sub categories. Will definitely be coming back!
Having visited Good Brothers multiple times, I was excited to introduce my boyfriend to one of my favourite spots. As always, the experience did not disappoint. We started with the mini beef skewers and pork belly skewers, which were simply to die for. Both types of skewers were grilled to perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour. The seasoning was expertly balanced, enhancing the natural flavours of the meat without overwhelming them. The beef skewers were succulent and had a slight char that added a delicious smoky depth. The pork belly skewers were rich and savoury, with a perfect combination of crispy edges and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. To complement the skewers, we ordered a side of grilled cabbage. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The cabbage was lightly charred and seasoned, providing a fresh and slightly crunchy contrast to the rich, savoury skewers. It was a refreshing accompaniment that balanced the meal beautifully without overpowering the main attractions. The vibes at Good Brothers were, as always, delightful. The restaurant exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The prices for the skewers were not too bad given how much they gave us in an order. We enjoyed the clams, skewers, the warm customer service from the staff. Northeastern-style Skewers: Great Value for Money! Most skewers range from $5 to $10, with over ten skewers per order. They offer a variety of meats including beef, chicken, pork, and lamb, with different cuts available! What sets them apart is the inclusion of hard-to-find offal, perfect for meat lovers! But the biggest surprise is the seafood!!!Grilled clams and scallops are delicious! Especially with the added garlic flavor, they are unbeatable! Plus, they are grilled just right, all juicy and succulent! They also offer summer raw meat shaslik BBQ takeout at 10% off after tax! Additionally, they offer a whole lamb roast.
I finally came across a Chinese BBQ skewer restaurant in Toronto with flavours tasty enough to make me want to return! The skewers here are nicely seasoned, the quality of the meat was good, and the price of the food was decent. The restaurant can get quite busy so it's recommended to go a little before theie peak hours or to call in advance to put your name down. There are two locations only a few doors apart, so you will need to make sure you have the one you want if you plan to call. The staff here are friendly, and efficient, but seem know limited English. Nevertheless, they give you a tablet to place your order with lots of pictures for for those that cannot read Chinese (about 10% of the menu didn't have English translations). The ambiance here was also good, and has Chinese street stall inspired decor.

This restaurant is breaking the law in Ontario by refusing to let delivery workers use the washroom when picking up an order. Learn the law and have some common decency. Go somewhere else.
Excellent value for price
This place is so good that I can t tell the difference between the beef I m eating and the lamb. Also good vibes decor reminded me of good ol China Vegetarian options: Eggplant and enoki mushrooms were good!
came on a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was quite busy so we had high hopes but were disappointed. the skewers either came out cold, underseasoned and with barely any spice, or they were ridiculously sweet. avoid. lamb skewers were the best if I were to recommend anything
Super delicious! I order takeout every day, and I never have any bad food. The chilled sauce series is great, and the Northeastern Rampi sauce is amazing. Please make it into shredded chicken cold noodles, it will be delicious! ! The Malatang had too little meat (almost none), but the taste was good. I m so happy to be able to eat Northeastern sauerkraut!
I am very glad I decided to stop by this Chinatown jewel with my family on Sunday night. We had many dishes, but the one that stood out for me was the chicken wings, sliced potatoes, vegetarian rice and lamb. All of the food was super delicious and fresh! Excellent customer service and beautiful decorations. Make sure you try this place!

I love the food here!! But the servers are terrible. If I could, I would give them 0 for the service. Never a smile on their face and never came to check in if we were ok. It was not even busy. We would ve understand if it was busy that they didn t have time. But including us it was only 2 tables. We still tipped them because the food is great here! I m a server myself and it doesn t matter if the food is good, if the service is bad people wouldn t go back. Please train your server to be nice with customers.

The best late-night skewer place in Chinatown!
The thing about this restaurant is it opens super late. Also it s authentic northern Chinese food. It s too spicy for me and they don t water down on their ingredients. This is something I like about their restaurant. They have a lot of other options. Because they did their best in their food. So I m giving a 5 stars. It s comfortable and the server is good.
2 locations right beside each other serving affordable, and delicious food. Great for take out or dine in. Really special and unique flavours with some dishes you cant find anywhere else. We get their kebabs to go for pot lucks or shared meal contributions, and theyve always been a hit. Incredible portions for the price, you can get something filling for under $10. Open late with efficient staff. Highly recommend Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options
The chicken rack is delicious and the seafood fried rice is generous. The staff was very enthusiastic. I asked for a lunch box and he kept trying to pack it for me.....
If you crave some Chinese BBQ, this will be your go-to place. It was our first time dining in, and to this day, we keep talking about how good the food was. We will come back again the next time we visit. Plus, its affordable too!

Good bbq spot in downtown. There are lots of bbq options for you to choose. I recommend all kind of beef and lamb! Price is fair with very generous portion! Only one thing I was not happy during my time there was the staffs not friendly.
Attracted by the ambience of the restaurant, we came in for dinner. The food was average and the BBQ dishes were over grilled and burnt. Also found a fly in my food. Lol. Will never come back again.

Ordered through delivery app. Everything we ordered was bad. The lamb and the beef skewers were extremely chewy with no flavor. The seafood was stinky and not fresh at all. The vegetable dishes were extremely spicy even though I asked for mild. Do not waste your money or time

Best enoki beef skewers Ive had. Great seasoning and texture. Also got smashed cucumber and spicy hot pot bowl. The bowl was ok, good taste but did not like the contents. Not even substance. Id go back to try more of the BBQ items. Friendly and fast service.
Introducing my new favorite Chinese skewers restaurant, @goodbrotherbbq , located near St. Patrick station (Chinatown) and opens until 2am. The food was amazing, especially their seafood dishes like Grilled Garlic Scallops, which are large and perfectly seasoned. The Sizzling Giant Squid is a must-order for seafood lovers and actually reminds me of the ones Ive tried in Taiwanese night markets. However, my number one dish was the Chicken skin, which is affordable and addictive. You wont feel guilty for eating a large portion because its the most valuable item on the menu! what we ordered : -Garlic Eggplants - Grilled Garlic Scallops - Sizzling Giant Squid - Chicken Skin -Beef Ribs in Secret Sauce - Spicy Grilled Shrimp Downtown Yakitori Shop Excellent seafood, garlic scallops, squid, nothing to lose Chicken skin skewers are my favorite. Not bad food. But the service is really slow during the busy time.
Our go to skewers spot. We spend not more than 30 each but we always end up too full. Sausage is definitley pur favor but everything we tried are good. Vegetable options are good too, we always get the enoki mushroom and eggplants.

Move over chat bar, because good brothers (or as my friends and I call it), good homies BBQ is THE skewer place in town. I ve been to this location a few times now and each time it gets better. The skewers are tasty, good value, and come out QUICK. It s almost always busy here but thankfully they have two locations side by side now so you can always see which one has a shorter wait. My fav dishes here are definitely the skewers (lamb, beef, chicken cartilage, wings, etc) and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The steamed oysters and scallops are also AMAZING and comes with a drool worthy garlic sauce. I like ordering a garlic cucumber and cabbage to balance out all the meat. Their fried rice doesn t have much flavour but it works well with the saltier meats. Definitely check this place out with a group of friends so you can try everything!

Good, nicely seasoned skewers. Enoki wrapped in beef was the major highlight. Liked that we could order a variety without it being too much food. Love that we could take our time and order on a tablet. Did not feel pressured to order more food. The candles do not keep the food warm on the serving plate.
Unreal food with a great spice on the eggplant, skewers, fried rice. Everything I ve order here is top notch. I crave it soooo much. Emoji wrapped with beef is absolutely amazing as well.
Would Return A great spot for relatively good value BBQ skewers. Price is not high but I wouldnt describe it as cheap. Flavours are really decent, meat quality isnt bad. Skewers are half-size so thats why I think they can keep the price lower. It was 30pp for two pitchers of beer and a couple of skewers each. Doesnt take AMEX.

The Service is the worst. The food is super expensive and in miniature portions. Dont waste your time or money. I spent 90 dollars for the worst service and the little portion of food that I had never seen in any restaurant. The waitresses get upset when you ask them for something

I found that the house has been renovated, the table has been enlarged and the stove is new, so I can sit more comfortably than before. ~ The quality of their meat is still so good, and every type of meat is so tempting. Beef ribs~The texture is a bit tough and the beef flavor is very strong Cowboy bone~ranked among the top three in terms of favorites, you will know by looking at the meat lines Boneless Beef Short Ribs~Delicacy bursting with fat Korean beef~My teammates love it so much ~ In addition to beef, Orleans wings and pork belly are both good. Of course there is meat and vegetables The pulled cheese corn is amazing The sizzling eggplant is sweet and smooth. The roasted mushrooms are even more adorable, as you can see the water being forced out and packed inside the mushrooms. Burning pineapple is to upgrade and upgrade the sweetness of pineapple, which is very refreshing ~ Its barbecue sauces include sweet Korean style and celery-flavored Chinese style, both of which have their own merits. We had quite a bit here. The food is really good, the spices are similar to other restaurants and the meat was amazing. The pork intestines was my favourite and the special sauce skewers. The best pork intestines Ive ever had, was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside with garlic on the skewers. New favourite spot to eat at for skewers. Vegetarian options: Menu has vegetarian options such as smashed cucumber, enoki mushrooms and a few more.
I am very satisfied with this restaurant. Authentic BBQ from China. We ordered their lamb, beef, squid, stinky tofu,lamb testicles, and noodle salad. Very happy with everything the seasoning was perfect. I would recommend everything I ordered, the squid especially was amazing. There is a waiting line if you come after 6pm and food does take a while, but they make it fresh so it was worth the wait.
Sick place for skewers
Be prepared to wait, this place is usually packed. It is worth the wait though. If you are into asian styled skewers this is pretty solid. My personal favorite was intestines.
Tasty food, at affordable prices. Portions are small, but so are portions in typical Chinese diners, the goal is to order several small dishes and enjoy a range of flavours. We had the pot with chicken, it was delicious, very similar to the ones we had in China. The fried rice and the eggplant were also cooked just right. I tried the lamb skewers, I usually dont like lamb, but the staff seasoned it very well, the taste of lamb wasnt overwhelming. The ambience was quaint and very typical, for an hour I forgot I was in Canada and I felt teletransported back to Beijing. And just like the food and the decor were typically Chinese, so is the service. Dont expect overly smiling staff, nor anybody asking how you are, and if you had a good day. Im used to it so I dont mind, but people that are not accustomed to Chinese culture may consider the staff rude. Id like to visit again.

Food was very tasty! Well cooked and spiced with solid portions for the cost. Im a bigger guy and I left pretty full. The restaurant looks great and has a good lively atmosphere. Only faults would be the long food and seating waits, weirdly small table for the wide benches, and definitely overuse of msg . Would still definitely go again and highly recommend the Dayao drink.

Verry good food, nice Chinese BBQ and I love it, but the staff can provide a better service, specially because Im allergic and the staff had to fix my dish 2 times and the menu is in Chinese, have a lot of room for improvement. Parking: Street parking is verry hard, busy area, one option is the garage in the other side of the street, both are paid. Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs in the entrance, and the tables have the bench, not recommended if you need some kind of accessibility... =(

Randomly dropped in to this spot strolling through Chinatown and was pleasantly surprised. Great place for sharing plates. Good portions for the price point. My gf and I were full and satisfied for under $50. My only critique is that the salt level was a tad overpowering. For example, we wanted something green/refreshing to balance out the saltiness of the meat, so we ordered the smashed cucumber salad and even that was very salty. Other than that, highly recommend!

Cant believe I only just discovered this place, one of my new go to BBQ places. Their flavors are on point, a tad on the greasier side though. The skewers are the small kind which I personally prefer. Will have to try other things next time, each order comes with 12 skewers so its hard to go for variety here if with a small group. Scallops cooked perfectly, same with squid, not rubbery. The stinky tofu wasnt stinky, just regular with a sauce so Id skip. Cukes were smashing, liang fen is bibimbap but with chewy noodles in peanut sauce -- very yum, and would honestly skip on the wraps, theyre just corn tortillas lol.
The food is incredibly good. Had been going there for a while, the only negative thing I have to say is that portions are becoming smaller each time, what makes it more expensive. But definitely recommended.
Best Chinese bbq in town
Not really for people who dont speak Chinese, the map is almost not in English so its very difficult to navigate. The food was very good but unfortunately we came across very spicy dishes.

Came here after work one day with a friend and it was a nice little hidden gem right on Dundas in Chinatown downtown Toronto. Im a big fan of skewered bbq foods and when you walk in you get that freshly grilled bbq skewer smell. Although its ala carte and not all-you-can-eat, the format is similar to some nearby AYCE places with ipads given to each table. You simply choose your items and key them in directly on the ipad. Some highlights included the fried rice, the beef skewers, lamb skewers and the scallops. The booths and decor are all a really nice dark wood color which gives this place a homely vibe. For the price, the atmosphere and the service Id definitely recommend stopping by if youre in the area and looking for reasonably priced bbq skewers.

THE SKEWERS WERE SO DELICIOUS, ESPECIALLY THE LAMB, THE CHICKEN WINGS, AND THE MANTOU(BREAD) SLICES!!! ALSO THEIR DOUGH DROP TOMATO & EGG SOUP REMINDED ME OF HOME SUPER COZY HEALTHY FOOD! PERFECT PLACE WITH FRIENDS!! Their pitchers of beer was delicious and so smooth going down. Highly recommend this place!! The price is good and the server is so sweet, I went two days in a row and both days Nancy was my server, and she is the absolute sweetest!!! Am definitely going back!!

An excellent place for Chinese BBQ. Very authentic taste from the grilled items to the side dishes. Pricing also reasonable. Make sure to reserve in advance for good seats. Some seats near the entrance are quite cold during the winter. Would definitely recommend if you are a fan of grilled meat.

1. There are many types of Northeastern specialty barbecue. I personally like fat and lean beef skewers, big fat sides, and oysters (the oysters are huge!! Very plump). 2. Great authentic BBQ for really decent prices. Other types of food are okay but not the best. Also, they only open at 3pm (not 11am as on Google), so be aware if you d like to come here for lunch.
