Union Social Eatery in Toronto

The atmosphere was perfect warm, inviting, and ideal for our event. The food, drinks, and service were great. A special shoutout to Meghan, our waitress, who made the evening smooth and enjoyable. She was incredibly helpful, and attentive, and always had a bright smile that added to the positive vibes of the night. The only issue for those who drive to this location might be parking, but there is underground public parking a few minutes walk from here. I highly recommend this place for any events!

We loved our little Date Night. Perfect place to spend time with the one you love. Beautiful restaurant environment.

Where do I start with this restaurant, every part of the experience was unenjoyable. First, there was a severe lack of vegetarian options. After we ordered they brought out one dish 30 minutes later that they set in front of our friend, then after 5 minutes came back out and took the plate back?? Telling us it would be a few more minutes for the other food. That was a lie, it was not until an HOUR after ordering that we got our food, our friends fish had just been sitting under the heat lamp the entire time. No one apologized about what happened and they did not even bother to come over with the bills, we had to flag someone down to get out of there. The food was fine, overpriced for what it was. Overall I would never come back here or recommend it.

My colleagues and I came here for dinner. I ordered a well-done steak. I had to change it twice. When there are many orders, they dont want to spend time preparing your food. One of their staff and the supervisor were really rude. The rest of the staff were really nice. Please do not come here if you are in a group.

We went for Summerlicious dinner: - Tomato and Mango Sushi Stack: alright - Nashville Chicken Sliders: good, though no spicyness noted - Blueberry Jalapeño Ribs: blueberry flavour was strange but not bad. The ribs were okay but couldve been more tender. Absolutely no hint of jalapeño tasted. Fries were delicious and portion generous. Coleslaw was coleslaw. - Banana Coconut Crusted Chicken: weird and bad. The flavours clashed and were confusing. The chicken was tasteless and had no crispness underneath the sauce. The sauce tasted like rotten banana or rotten sweet fruit to me. Friend said the sauce made his chicken taste like lettuce. - Apple Pie Jar: good. Lacked the jar. No explanation for this - Blueberry Cheesecake: good. Not too sweet. Service was good throughout our meal and then drastically fell off. After about 10 minutes we tried to hail our server down to pay the bill. We were ignored. We tried to hail any server in the restaurant by waving at them. We were a group of 4. No server made eye contact with us or looked in our direction. It took over 30 min for our server to FINALLY notice us. It doesnt take that long to eat a little dessert! We watched him take payments from a large group of 8-10 men who had finished after us and walk back to to bar still without looking our way and somehow our waving and eye gaze wasnt catching their peripheral vision. We refrained from yelling, but wanted to. It was 45 min after we finished eating that we actually left the restaurant. EDIT: My party and I were encouraged to return by the owner. We ate from the regular brunch and main menus Me - Calamari app: crispy and meaty, not fried greasy. Tied for best calamari weve had in the GTA since being spoiled by Vancouver seafood. Could have used additional seasoning to be absolute #1. - Steak and Eggs main: Refreshing watermelon. Great potatoes and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The steak came out barely warm while the smashed potatoes were piping hot, but I soon forgot about it because the steak tasted so good. Salsa complemented it well. Watermelon should be across from the steak rather than beside so as not to soak in the steak juices. - Social Nutz drink: yummy! Other Persons - Edamame app: good. Fish and Chips main: perfect. Good portion size. Not fried greasy. Tea: good - Bang bang chicken app: good. Blackened salmon main: enjoyed it. Really liked the candied yams with pomegranate seeds. Mocktail: good - Garlic Shrimp tacos app: enjoyed it. U.F.O. Burger with poutine main: good - Key Lime Pie Jar. It was actually served in a jar. It was just right. We all got this dessert! Overall, our meals were fantastic. Our server was fantastic. She attended to our table well, not coming too often but checking in appropriately. Super friendly. It was about just as busy as the first time we visited, 33-40% full, but big difference! Thank you, George! If nothing else, Id return for the steak.

1 star review for food cuz I didnt even get mine... Ordered my food and waited for the entire hour and a half thinking there was just a delay, but the restaurant wasnt even busy in this *TUESDAY EVENING* and our server just never came back to check on us. Apparently he didnt even input my order into the system. Some beer tap wasnt even working and the calamari couldnt be done (??) so we had to order something else. At least I didnt get charged for the food that I never got?

Two people at my table never received the food they ordered. After waiting for over an hour and being told the kitchen was backed up, we eventually found out their orders had never been submitted to the kitchen in the first place. Staff were unapologetic, food was mid avoid.

The service was remarkably bad. Waited over 30 min for just truffle fries, while the rest of my table got their orders, to the point where I ended up cancelling. The waiter was nonapologetic and initially claimed that the kitchen was back logged, though we saw other orders placed after ours come out. He pretended to cancel my order, but I have doubts it was ever even placed. Another individual of my group never got his order.

This is easily the worst service ive ever had in my life please save yourself and dont go here. I sat for an hour without food or drinks .

My friends and I came here for dinner with no reservations and were seated right away. Our server, Dean, was so kind and friendly and answered all of our questions. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Reasonable priced, amazing service, clean and nice ambiance. Would 100% recommend and would return if I was visiting. Thank you Dean!

Came here yesterday (25th july) evening.. the server with long braided hair was not at all friendly.. moreover.. it seemed like she was miserable.. food was great tho... ambience was great.. but we didnt have nice experience in terms of service.

The food was excellent. My wife had the bbq Chicken Caesar salad and I had a steak bowl. The server was particularly helpful and friendly. His name was Saransh. However, it s been my experience that all the servers are friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Brought here my business partners for a meal the other day and we had the best time ever. The food was delicious and the portions were decent. We were served by this wonderful girl Anna who made our dining experience memorable and enjoyable. I always like the cozy atmosphere and great service at this restaurant. We will definitely come back again.

I have been a customer of Union Social since it opened. The Management and Staff are personable, experienced and create a welcoming environment. The food and beverages are great and reasonably priced. The service is excellent.

Have had many things in the menu over the years - all excellent from the steak to the fish and chips to their sandwiches / burgers. Killer chicken is always a highlight. Affordable prices great specials and friendly staff. Love union social

My boyfriend and I came for summerlicious and it just wasn t worth it - even with the discounted price. The only reason I m giving 2 stars and not 1 is because the waitress was really sweet. She kept apologizing for it being busy (maybe that s why the food wasn t great?) and checking on us. The sushi stack is so bland and comes with chips?! So random - why would it not come with seaweed or spicy mayo? The sliders were very tasty but the chicken in it is teeeeeny tiny. We expected the blueberry jalapeño ribs to have a kick but they just tasted like basic bbq ribs. The pasta was the only thing that really met expectations. I m not going to talk too much about the desserts because we got them to go so obviously weren t fresh when we ended up eating them but they sucked lol All in all, wouldnt go back

We live in the area and as such, we visit often. The service has always been friendly and good. I enjoy cooking but, when I feel like a break this is our go-to spot. The food is fresh, tasty and personal preferences are always considered (within reason). I am stymied at a previous negative review. I would have trouble preparing two different appetizers, main courses and desserts (in a glass jar or on a plate) for the price asked. To come to a clean and friendly restaurant, order, be served well, enjoy and leave the dishes for such a reasonable price is a rarity. Perhaps if there were a lineup, waiting list or higher prices some would change their opinions. For now, my husband and I will continue to enjoy this social eatery.

Maybe it was just an off night, but the food took far too long to come out, which was disappointing given the place wasnt busy, either. We were disappointed that the food wasnt even that good when it finally did come out, and certainly not worth the price given the lackluster quality and length of time it took. Everything is over-salted. All of this might be excused to a bad night, or a cook who called in sick, etc. except we also noticed they dont have their Dine Safe posted anywhere. When we looked it up online, we discovered a pattern of conditional passes for years. Conditional pass issued, adjustments apparently made, then back to old habits that bring another conditional pass next time. But we looked and couldnt find it anywhere, which leads us to believe they know exactly what theyre doing by not posting it in a conspicuous place. Unfortunately we wont be returning.

We were lucky to have a good host like Guy. A tall man with a fit body and a big smile and a warm voice made a memorable evening for us, who were tired, lying in the corner of the restaurant. The caesar salad was delicious and I wish we had ordered chicken for the recipe. The fried chicken was very tasty and the burger was really magical. Guy was in every sense a personable host and a true gentleman. I wish we had more chance to be together.

Union Social Eatery is in a good location where you wont find many other good restaurants for the quality and price. 1 minute walk from st clair station. The food was great, the atmosphere is pretty good and lots of seating, the service was good. Our food took quite long to come out but was well worth the wait. Lots of great options (crispy buffalo chicken tacos starter was awesome). A family member eats gluten free and they had an entire separate menu for gluten free. Its hard to come across this nowadays! Highly recommend!

Why is this establishment provided a patio permit? Youre the only place on St Clair Ave on the east side taking up an entire traffic lane right by Yonge St. I live in the neighborhood and youve got dumb management if they think that patio is an enjoyable experience. How about being responsible citizens to your community and getting rid of that patio so traffic can flow.

Not the best dine in experience. All our food from apps to mains had salt and seasoning missing. The server was amazing but not the best food. Not going again my $156 something wasted

Very poor food and mediocre service. We were a group of 5 girls, and all of our meals were bad! This place used to be so good years ago.. what happened?

The manager is horrible. Super rude and not somewhere I would spend my money. Guess he forgot who pays his wages. Avoid

I was there for the first time last night. I sat at the bar and asked the very nice bartender what he would eat. I had mentioned the blackened salmon was something I was thinking about and he said that that was one of his favourites aside from a few others. Wow, he was bang on! The crispy Brussel sprouts, yams with the pomegranates along with the mouth watering salmon all were a fabulous combination. I also indulged in the mars bar brownie and that was delicious! Truly a new restaurant that I plan on going back to a number of times. Thank you for a fantastic meal.

Even though the food took a while, everything was cooked to perfection and wasnt compromised by the wait. Apparently its busiest at lunch, so thats all I warn about. Otherwise, the atmosphere is comforting, the staff are amazing, and the food is worth the time.

Manager was so nice...held a small gathering they reserved us the back of the restaurant and even give us a few appetizers on the house. Great comfort food.

Not sure if the recipes have been changed recently but the quality has gone downhill. My friend threw up on the street after eating the chicken tenders, yo man I thought she was gonna die, and the nachos were so greasy, I might as well have just walked into the kitchen and chugged their entire supply of oil. Also we asked for our food to be put in a takeout container and the waitress piled all the garbage on the food before transferring it into a takeout container. When we left, the hostess asked if we wanted to bring our takeout but we said no.

We were a table of 10 for the new year eve. Food was fine, but service wasn t pleasant. Atmosphere was good.

We ordered the chicken vindaloo. Surprisingly it had just two very tiny pieces of chicken, almost no chicken. The server (Anna) was not friendly. When we asked for 6 champagne glasses, she said We do not have that many glasses !!!!! Then the three glasses she brought, were wet!! The whole time she was in a rush, no smile!

They have great burgers and fries here! The burger was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and delicious. Their poutine uses real cheese curds and its absolutely incredible.

We reserved a table with a group of friends for New Years Eve. Regrettably, the unpleasant attitude of a server named Anne dampened the atmosphere, and we decided to leave early. To the manager: please avoid assigning late-night shifts to employees who are unwilling to work during those hours.

I have eaten here many times as I work in the area. My favourite meals are the shrimp tacos or the almond crusted tenders. The lady that seats us is always fantastic, she makes the place feel homely and not like you are in a big city, she is so friendly! Next time I will get her name.

Chill restaurant plus bar. Went during social hour (2-5pm) and enjoyed some awesome deals! The booths and the restaurant is very spacious, equipped with a few large TVs playing sports. Drinks are reasonably priced (about $10/cocktail)! Parking: The parking lots nearby are all $3 -$3.50 per half hour Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible. There is a step at the door and washrooms are downstairs.

Will never ever visit this place again. As we arrived and sat on the table, no water was served or asked by our server. Going ahead I just ordered 1 beer and 2 appetizers wings and fried calamari for me and my wife. The appetizers took more than 25 min to arrive. Before the appetizers could arrive at the table. We told one of the servers to cancel our order and would like to pay for our drink and leave. We got off from our table and was about to leave, the appetizers came. We told our server that we dont want the food as its too late and we decided to check out by paying only for our drinks. Then the server told us that by default it takes 15 to 20 minutes for appetizers to arrive at the table. So I cannot take it back, you will have to pay for the food. I work in the same industry and I am completely aware about how things functions BOH and FOH. Waiting for more than 25 min just for appetizers is what I have never experienced till now. When we addressed this issue to our server, she was not even apologetic. Without making the situation more worse, we asked for take out containers for the food that came late. Settled our bill and left the restaurant with huge disappointment and regrets. Food review Fried calamari- super oily and over seasoned. Wings- ok

Food was great as always. Service was horrible. Our waitress completely ignored us once we got our food. Didn t even come to see how things weee or if we needed more water. When another staff ( I think she was a supervisor) came over she didn t charge us for one of our meals. There the only reason I have a tip. Even if our waitress came over to apologize that would have helped

The food was just awful at this place, not worth the trip there. We heard good things about it. I am all for price increases with inflation, but you better make sure quality is there to justify it.

I would call this place a pub, but it has tasty meals that are better than you get in a pub. It has a good selection of beers. It is also nice and airy. The food, including the salad bowls was great, as was the service.

There was a mixup with our takeout order and Linton the manager that evening went above and beyond to correct the issue. I also ordered the tuna bowl and key lime dessert and they re both delicious. Will definitely be back!

NOT RECOMMENDED - DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH HERE - THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN A BAR - WILL NEVER RETURN - SERVER TEUREL L. NEEDS TO BE DISMISSED Management/Owner needs to be aware that TEUREL L. One of your servers here absolutely ruined our evening. He belittled and insulted us while we were ordering drinks, and intentionally spilled a little bit of a drink on our table to make a statement. We were going to order food however after one of us (group of 5, all mid 30s, locals, professionals) ordered hot water / room temperature water for personal reasons, TEUREL L. absolutely lost his composure (unknown why) and underwent a temper tantrum. We were shocked, appalled and lost our appetite meaning your business lost big $$$ TEUREL L. angrily stated to us that this isn t Laval Nightclub referring to a posh downtown rooftop patio. He stated that this is insane , this is honestly insane and I m not joking , in a rude and condescending manner, regarding how someone would dare order room temperature water. His comments were hurtful and shocked us as a whole group. We all lost our appetite and agreed to refuse to order anything else. We were concerned that TEUREL L. would possibly spit in our food or drink order because his anger was quite visible. He stated that next time we come to Union Social we should ask where his section is/where he is serving so we would seated outside his area, to avoid confrontation . We were dumbfounded. As a group of mixed professionals, including lawyers, bankers, we all had no idea what transpired, how TEUREL L. became soo triggered and enraged over an order for room temperature water and why was he so confrontational over it After placing the order for our first drinks and after this unpleasant exchange we all lost our appetite and the damage was done. The kicker was when TEUREL L. came back, a Negroni drink was poorly made, half full, mostly ice- and **he purposefully spilled a bit of of one drink** on the table, blatantly at the same person that ordered the room temp water. This was no coincidence. It was absolutely horrid behavior for a server. We complained the same day to all of your other staff. They removed TEUREL L. from our table at our request. He angrily came with all of our bills, even though we weren t leaving. We all settled (no tip left after this nightmare) and another server took over our table. Your staff will be aware of this incident and rest assured they acknowledged that we did nothing wrong to deserve this sort of treatment. This entire exchange was when we first sat down, placing our initial order. One of your staff members was aware of TEUREL S tyrannical behavior and stated he s not usually like this implying that at least on this night he has mistreated other customers. I would give zero stars if I could. 0/5 AVOID Management, for the sake of your business you should dismiss TEUREL L. Thank you

Went for lunch, and its a great space. Our food took quite a while, but at least the wait staff acknowledged it. The fish and chips were pretty good. Large portion, plenty of fries. A friend had the pasta, which was a new item on the menu. Was sad. 6 ravioli on this giant bowl. New menu, so guess there adjusting.

i came here last week with my friends and we all had a great time. our server s name was Haya and she was very attentive and friendly. I got the fish and chips and my other two friends got burgers, haya was checking on us all night and we had a great time. our drinks did take a little while but overall it was a 8/10 experience

Have been to this location multiple times. Be aware that the food takes a while to arrive, however the good thing about this location is that it is spacious. Large selection of drinks and typical bar fare for food.

Our server *Guy did a great job in taking care of us . Prices were on par with area I was kinda disappointed that the turkey meat in club was shaved deli meat for 22$ but the starters were delicious. I had the Candy Chicken salad and I enjoyed it.

Hi and Good Afternoon!! I am writing a review of this restaurant. Polite servers as well as the head chef. I can only comment that the food was great, and the culture was even better. Keep up the great work!!. The customers were really nice and the ambiance was great.

Came here during a hockey game and were seated promptly. Our server Christopher was friendly and efficient, we will definitely be visiting again when in the area.

Good food, decent prices, nice pub atmosphere, not much else to ask for.

This review will focus on 2 things: service and food. I arrived as part of a large group and when the server arrived they took part of the tables drink order which happened to be all waters. But before I could give my drink order the server assumed that the entire table was having the same thing and left. When they returned, they took the drink menu, further limiting ordering options. I also ordered the ace high club. I did so because it reminded me of a similar sandwich I used to get at Milestones. Both sandwiches are turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato on a cranberry bread The key difference is that that sandwich came with real turkey breast pieces and this sandwich, which cost nearly $20, came with what I can only describe as a wad of deli turkey. Not what I expect for the price. Also, the mayo and the cranberry bread were competing flavours and created an odd taste in mouth. Would I order this again? Probably not. Do I think that this should be priced different? Yes, more like a $12-14 plate. Vegetarian options: Veggie burger, appetizers

Great staff, food is always really good. Salad may be a little over dressed, but food is very satisfying. The warm brownie dessert is a real treat! The staff is kind, welcoming and really strive to make every stay enjoyable. Perfect neighbourhood place.

i visited this location yesterday night during the leafs game and despite the clearly very busy dinner rush, our server Haya was very attentive and did really well to accommodate us throughout our dinner. We got the shrimp tacos and the nachos among other menu items but the nachos were a little oily. Overall we all had a great experience and will visit again.

It took them more than 45 minutes to prepare a hamburger and a cheeseburger! We ordered the simplest things from the menu so we can leave there in a timely manner. We finally got our plates after I told them several times that I have to go back to work. This restaurant is in a busy business area so you would expect them to understand their customers needing relatively timely service. Once we got our dishes, my burger was completely burnt from outside and completely overcooked from inside! I asked the server if they can change it quickly as I need to leave. He looked at the burger and said yes this is not good. I got another one in short time. The waiter also offered to bring extra napkins and I said yes but the napkins never came! The water cups were never refilled. No one checked in on us to see if we need something. The taste of the burgers were mediocre .. The whole experience was completely below average.

I ordered steak bowl it was tasless and I was still hungry when I walked out. If a customer pays $20+ for a meal shouldnt be hungry after.

Union Social Eatery is a great spot for a work lunch, with its nice location and laid-back atmosphere. However, if youre planning on dining here, its best to arrive at noon or before, as it can get quite busy quickly. Despite the crowds, the service at Union Social Eatery is great, and you dont need a reservation to be seated promptly. During my visit, my server got my wing order wrong, and unfortunately, I didnt have enough time to return or cancel before lunch ended. This was disappointing, but it didnt ruin the overall experience. If youre looking for a spot to catch up with colleagues or friends over drinks, Union Social Eatery is definitely worth considering. While the food didnt exceed expectations, the drinks are well-crafted, and the overall atmosphere is quite inviting. In summary, Union Social Eatery is a decent option for a work lunch or drinks with friends. While the service is great, its important to arrive early to avoid the crowds. And while the food may not be the main draw, the drinks are worth checking out. I would consider returning, but perhaps for a more casual and relaxed outing.

Great for corporate lunches out; solid menu with rotating specials. Beer and wine are available. Smokehouse burger was excellent. Atmosphere isnt a perfect 5 but everything else compensates

Cozy eatery with lots of drinks and food. Had the poke 2 years ago and it was delicious. Also recently had the pineapple ciroc sprizter. Real tasty and boozy!

the servers are so entitled and rude!

Food was great and it would be a good atmosphere. We were just a bit rushed to leave at the end and couldnt get desert. The reason for the one dropped star is the pressure for high tipping on their machines. It starts at 18% and goes up from there. As with many in Toronto, Im getting sick and tired of an assumed inflated tip, regardless of service. In this case, service was fine, but food prices are way up and that means tips go up as it is... without tip percentages increasing already. When I was in the industry 10% was standard, 15% was to compliment very good service, and 20% was for amazing service. Now food costs much more and restaurants expect double the standard to start at 20% and now promote 30% or more. This complaint is growing from what I can see.

We went for the Summerlicous menu and very much disappointed. I ordered the House Braised Sirloin Firecrackers (to die for) & tofu taco with salad. My girlfriend ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries and chicken taco with salad. We ordered our dessert ahead of time and there seemed to be no problem. Once we were ready for our dessert, we were told they ran out and they only had 2 left for the day! The GM came and she was very defensive as we addressed our concern. She promised a discount but when we got our bill, no discount was given. We even asked the waitress to pack our left overs but she forgot to bring us doggy bags. We paid our bill with bad taste in our mouth. This location is definitely thumbs down! Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible at all. An old lady tripped right in front of the restaurant. The ground is very uneven.

My boyfriend and I went for the summerlicious menu and overall it was pretty yummy. We made a lunch reservation for 12 pm on the dot. We both started with the parmesan truffle fries which were very good and a decently big portion, the only complaint is that they didn t use real parmesan. For our mains I got the ace high club and he got the tofu tacos with salad. The sandwich comes with a side of fries but i chose to do a caesar salad instead. The sandwich and salad were pretty good. The market salad that came with the tacos was a little too sweet and the tacos weren t as flavourful as he would ve liked (he is a sauce monster). We chose the seasonal creme brulee (which we were told was just vanilla flavoured and not really seasonal unless vanilla is a summer seasonal flavour?) which he really enjoyed, and the apple pie jar. Pretty standard desserts, not gonna lie I was kinda full at this point and didn t eat much of it. Our waiter was a very nice and chill dude who provided great service and we got to choose our own seats as it wasn t really busy at the time. Paid around $60-70 all together after tax and tip, so around $30-40 per person.

Tried out with a friend for Summerlicious. The app was delicious: crispy brussel sprouts with bacon and a generous serving! It almost filled me and ok to share. For Main we tried was butternut squash ravioli which was cheesy, but a bit on the oily side. They were out of creme brûlée so we had key lime which was fine; standard stuff, not too much coconut. Service was hospitable. I did not care for the atmosphere, since it was incredibly loud/echoing and the table was wide, so we felt far from each other. Giant tv with sports over big bar. It s a kinda industrial feel, and there is a garage door which was open to the sidewalk patio. Very humid when we were there so that didn t help. You re beside parked cars there. You go through 2 doors to enter and accessible (but bathrooms downstairs) Lots if regular pub type stuff and gluten free offerings and vegetarian friendly. Vegetarian options: Starters, salads, and more Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options and vegetarian friendly Kid-friendliness: A couple kid menu items

First of all we saw two mice running around our table (on the ground)right after we sat down, that should have been our first clue. Second the restaurant was empty, but we were seated in the very back instead of by the front window where we asked to be seated. The food was just ok, nothing to write home about, very small portions for the price. Our server just seemed to gloss over the mice situation as if it was normal. Our faults as we should have gotten up and left right then. I have been to this restaurant on several occasions as it s nice and local, but I won t be going back or recommending it to anyone.

At the grand ol age of 57, I am usually delighted to learn new things. I learned at Union Social that there is such a thing as an American pint of beer (sorry, arent we in Canada?). Forty years drinking draft beer in pubs and bars, I learned at Union Social that an American pint (16 ounces), which they serve as a pint, is much smaller than the normal Imperial pint (20 ounces) that you find everywhere in BNA except Union Social. So if you want to pay the cost for a tiny glass of beer ($9) that you would pay for an Imperial pint that is served everywhere except Union Social, this is your place. PS. We had planned to have dinner, but when our miserly drinks were placed in front of us, we chose to go elsewhere,

Went here for dinner and drinks and it was an interesting experience. Food was okay. We had the steak bimimbap special and the ahi tuna salad and really not much to write home about. I found the bimimbap lacking seasoning. The steak was well cooked but also lacked sufficient seasoning. However the cocktails were great! Quite enjoyable and refreshing. We were having ourselves a great time but by drink two, the mice came out to play. Literally. The benches by the deck had a number of mice underneath that made for a very uncomfortable exercise experience. They scurried around all evening and it got a bit uncomfortable for both of us so we cut the night short.

Nice place at any time. Try the house hamburger. It is REALLY good!

I love supporting local and usually get great service. It was busy and there were very few servers working . We had to flag down our server though after a serious amount of time. After 1 check on how the food was that was it. Was disappointing

I love this place. Theyve been able to consistently over the years keep the food at a standard and the servers are always nice. My favorite spot this area of the city. Hands down. UPDATE 2023: There has been a drastic decrease in quality here forcing me to take this review down to 3 stars. They make food. Its ok. The prices are still low relative to other places. Its just not the kind of food they were making and it shows.

My wife and I recently dined at Union Social Eatery, and we were blown away by the outstanding food and service. While we had a bit of a hiccup with our initial delivery order, I cant emphasize enough how fantastic the staffs response was in resolving the issue and turning the situation around. Before our in-person visit, we had ordered some dishes for delivery, and there was a mix-up in our order. However, as soon as we notified the restaurant, we received a reply from a member of the staff that truly touched our hearts. Their compassion and eagerness to correct the order and make amends for the necessary adjustments were remarkable. The way they handled our situation with such care and attention is something we dont often see in the restaurant industry. We genuinely felt valued and appreciated as customers. Their dedication to ensuring our experience was top-notch was evident in every interaction we had with them. The food at Union Social Eatery was exceptional, and the service commitment they demonstrated went above and beyond our expectations. Thanks to their swift response and genuine concern for making our visit a positive one, what could have been a potentially bad experience turned into a memorable and enjoyable one. Best Caesar salad I ve had in a hot minute!

Came here for lunch on a weekday. Was relatively quiet. Good service. I got the Korean steak bowl which was pretty good.

I went there with friends. My mushroom burger was great. Probably because it was lunchtime, we found the place a little bit busy and noisy. The place is also a little bit dark.

A great local near Yonge and St. Claire with a large beer selection, decent affordable wines and an extensive menu.

Good food, and good service even with the weird requests from the table. Nice place, no loud music or anything while we were there and a decent range of foods for a range of people.

Ordered eggs Benedict with smoked salmon (salmon cooked, eggs with egg shell, overcooked, not running), truffle fries (over fried, dry), butter squash ravioli (not the best either). It was $80 for two persons, which is not bad, but I d rather pay more and enjoy the food. Not going there again.

Service was good. As a Christmas gesture we each received an envelope with some kind of incentive only to be opened in front of the server before Feb 11!

The Wi-Fi isnt very good, so dont meet up there to do any work. But the service was excellent and attentive and its one of the few places Ive seen that serves Pimms.
