It's a great place for a date or a friend hang out. Atmosphere is aces. Service is better on the non-busy nights. Cocktails are a bit pricey but totally tasty. Menu: half is good, half is not. Music is OK. Regulars know better than I and usually just do beers at the bar seats. All other seating is annoying high stools. Sunday is trivia night, it's fun and kinda stupid. Overall, if you're looking for a decent bar/snack place near Queen and Roncy - recommend. Cold noodles, maylay beef, puff pastry chives - SO GOOD. Dumplings were not great, maybe not anything rice either. Give this place a shot, you prob'ly won't be disappointed. Especially if you're in the hood. Also: they're pet friendly - a boston terrior visits often. That's a PLUS!
Vegetarian review : Hidden gem on Queen Street, it’s has a calm cozy vibe and the service is really good. They have a limited Chinese inspired menu and everything can be made with tofu or veggies. We ordered Tofu cheese fried rice and fried enoki mushrooms (very crispy), a must try. Cocktails were okayish, I ordered Christina Lychee but it was more of a lemon flavour than lychee. They have a wide variety of options on Tap for beer. All and all a good experience though a bit expensive.
Neighbourhood favourite! Cozy place. They feature Chinese/Asian food but the people running it are Caucasian. Interesting. Their menu is small but content. More for snacks with drinks than dining. All of their dishes were good but salty. They use soy sauce based sauces mostly with a twist of vinaigrette. Most of their dishes would be a little mild for Asians but flavourful for non-Asians. I still liked them as an Asian. Good service, friendly staff. I’d visit again.
We were in the neighborhood and wanted a bite to eat late night and this place was open. The description says small plates but honestly, the late night menu had decent sized servings. But they were also really good. We got the cheese fried rice, brussel sprouts and chicken wings. And each one was great. They hit the spot. I was driving otherwise I would have loved to try their drinks. Definitely would try again if I am in the neighborhood in the future.
The Brussel sprouts were outstandddinggg. Delicious with a nostalgic flavour. The noodles were very good too. I loved the Yuzu beer. It’s super light and fruity. The cinnamon roll though… is very bad lol. $10 for a small, crunchy, dry, cinnamon roll. Sorry y’all.
Took 'em 25 mins after placing the food order, to come up and tell us that the menu item is out of stock. Took 'em another 40 minutes for a simple Noodles order. After a total hour's struggle of starving ourselves, we finally asked how much more time would it take. They told us that they hadn't even started to prepare our food. 3 tables around us came in after us, had their food and left in that one hour span. But they just couldn't get around to preparing our noodles.
Awesome bar with small plates, beer and great cocktails. Go here if you like sharing food and drink with friends. I had the cumin beef with Yuba knots and chiles. Cumin is definitely an underrated spice, especially with beef. Served with crisp onions and scallions. The hot and sour soup dumplings was a unique delicious dish filled with pork, shitake mushrooms, garlic scapes and bamboo shoots with a yummy fish sauce for dipping. Sweet and sour chicken balls were decent - had more of a higher dough ratio than chicken. Black vinegar and honey potatoes have an acquired taste. I liked them a lot - reminded me of Korean food and the contracts of the honey and strong vinegary flavour was lovely. Finally the garlic mogambo noodles were a great highlight. Highly recommend this one. Mogambo garlic sauce and lots of garlic made it an awesome addition to the lineup. Highly recommend trying their cocktails. Combination of classics and unique creations of their own!
Easily one of my favourite bars in Parkdale. Great draught selection, tasty food, and excellent service. Their menu is very small, but super flavourful. They usually have cheap wild turkey shots available. There's a small patio out back, and the main space have a nice ambiance. Solid spot to go with a group of friends.

A great spot for yummy cocktails and made from scratch food right in Parkdale, Toronto. They have a great covered and heated back patio that is perfect for hang outs or date night, and I could definitely picture a cool wedding happening here for sure. They have a unique selection of takeout alcohol, frozen hand made dumplings as well as ready to eat takeout that is all made fresh in house. They are currently set up for safe pickup during covid protocols. Right now theyre featuring a display of handmade gifts from local artisans. One stop shop. Super friendly staff.
Great cocktails and amazing staff!
Used to be my favourite place. I used to go there regularly when they only had female bar tenders. For the last two times, there has been a male bar tender who has nothing but disdain for customers. He ruined the mood for my bfs bday by turning his nose at all of the people we had in our party. Why be in the service industry if you hate that kind of job.

My gf and I went for the late night menu and it was all kinds of delicious. Big fan of the cheese fried rice and chicken wings. Our server was really friendly and accommodating too. Will definitely be back.

I had my rehearsal dinner here (sept 2021) and could not have picked a better spot. We rented out the patio and thy customized a special menu for us. It was awesome. They had special menus, flowers on the tables. The food was outstanding. They even made separate dishes for my vegan and gluten free guests. The drinks were delicious and service was top notch. Thank you for making my rehearsal dinner so memorable and special
Worst customer service ever. Went here last night with some friends and Mat the bartender/server was so unpleasant the whole time. Seemed annoyed to answer simple questions about the menu and automatically added 20% tip at everyone s bill (which is usually fine for a group of 6 ppl but the service was so bad that made me so upset) Words from someone that used to work in the industry and most of my friends that were at the table too. Our experience was horrible.
Ive never seen such a terrible service in my life. The bar is ok, we went there before a concert to have a few drinks. Beer selection was not good, there was only one beer on tap that was acceptable. We ordered chicken wings and the consistency was disgusting. The worst thing for me was the bartender named Matt he was serving our table but treating us like he was doing a huge favour, every time we asked him something he answered in a very rude way. My friend asked him if the dry cider was good and he says I have no idea with the most disgusting face Ive ever seen. When he came to collect our dishes he joked saying I have T-rex arms so we could do his job for him. In the end, he added 20% gratuity to our bills because we were a group of 8, but all he did was serving us a beer or a cider in the worst possible way. Im never coming back! I hope the manager acknowledge this person is ruining his business. Please avoid this place, nothing special and you will be mistreated.
Food portions used to be larger. I understand costs have gone up, but to pay more now for half the portion size we used to get seems wrong. I hope they will rebalance this.

Small but good menu
One of the best dive bars in Toronto. But - what makes Food and Liquor so special is the FOOD! Chef Vince is incredibly talented. I have never had a dish that wasn t outstanding. One of my friends would come to Toronto a couple times a year & refuse to leave town unless we visited Food & Liquor. Great craft beer selection. Cocktails are on point. Most importantly- one of the last remaining places to offer a $4 bourbon shot! Great staff and owners. Chill and comfortable vibes. If you haven t been - you absolutely must do yourself a favour. Vegetarian options: So many veggie options! Homemade/delicious food. Always made with love and care.
Loved this spot that my coworker took me to. Menu was smaller, but all the dishes seemed well thought out and the pork belly fries and fried rice we had were both great. Prices were super fair as well and they had a great drinks menu. The patio was super cute and service was attentive and friendly. Would love to come back if Im ever around Parkdale again!

A wonderful little bar with a homey patio. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was different and really good. I really liked the fried rice. The beer was really good too.

I have been to Food & Liquor many times now although always for the Liquor and not yet for the food. I have to say this is one of my favourite watering holes in the area. If the inside doesnt suit your fancy they have a very beautiful back patio that is intimate as it is open. They have a wonderful rotating beer menu and they make some really fine mixed drinks too! While I cant personally speak about the food I am told it was good. That and the great staff Im sure will make this a regular haunt for you.

Could not have enjoyed this place more. We sat in the back patio, which was a great environment and was partially covered. They had great drink selection with lots of beer, wine, and cocktails. What made this place was the food though. The fried rice, pork belly, and chicken wings were all amazing. Couldn t recommend this place enough.
The food is delicious, there s always interesting cocktails, and a tasty selection of wine & beer. A high quality, unpretentious spot, for casual hangs or a date. Super easy vibe with a great back patio that is also pretty warm.

Great Parkdale Bar & Restaurant. Delicious Asian inspired snack bar with great craft beer and cocktail offerings. The back patio has guests chefs every Sunday all summer long.
The menu is tapas style. But they truly shine in the summer when they host the guest chef backyard bbq every Sunday. An absolute parkdale must in the summer.

Very nice hidden spot on Queen st W. Go inside to the back and get a nice table. The bartender was smiling and friendly and adviced on best prices and gave us a drink on the house. The food was really good and not expensive. I would definitely come back. We ordered Tofu with mashrooms and frittes. Really recommended.

Went for 30th birthday a few weeks ago. The food menu is small but we had most of the menu and everything we had was incredibly delicious! The drinks were fantastic as well. Great place for a casual night out for drinks with friends

Most friendly staff, great niche local-ish taps from well beyond the GTA which was impressive as an out-of-towner catching a hometown local brew on tap thats hardly even available in liquor stores, startlingly complex nibbles available well beyond any local but McD(the mushroom gravy with the Asian greens is undeniable) and great value on simple shots with an excellently-appointed and laid-out space, the back patio a charming event area

This fine establishment is fantastic! Delicious drinks- taps, cans, cocktails, etc. Ridiculous food that I dream about regularly in between my grazing visits. So much history in the building. Great patio with guest chef BBQs in the summer. Great way to try different things all while feeling at home. Plus the handsome chef is always a treat ;)

Its not too big, not to small and the staff are friendly but not too friendly. There are a few people there but you can always get a table. This bar seems to exists completely within the Goldilocks zone, it is uncanny.
