By far one of the best board game cafes I have been to in the GTA. Its worth your time and a great place for socializing with friends. I like that this cafe does not encourage falsely high ratings by giving discounts in return for 5 star reviews. The service is impeccable and you can tell the staff and owner are truly board game enthusiasts. They do not do board game retail however the board games available to choose from is extensive. All the games are neatly organized by logical categories. Plenty of signage everywhere to recommend games based on your party size, interests, etc. The cafe menu has several options and the quality is great (my table ordered a matcha latte, the smoked meat sandwich, the Cajun fries, and a couple sodas). Their alcoholic drinks menus are also very intriguing. I can actually hear my friends talking and explaining gameplay because the staff is smart enough to know theres no point blasting music in the background (unlike some pretty bad board game cafes Ive been to). Staff checked in on our table at a reasonable cadence such that all our needs were met while not feeling overwhelmed. We went on a Sunday evening which was rather quiet so Id love to return on a busier night to see if the quality of service and management holds up. During busy timeslots, tables are limited to max 3 hr stay. If its not busy, you can stay as long as youd like Decor is also beautiful and tasteful. Furniture and facilities are very well-maintained and clean.

One of the nicer game cafes I ve been to ambience wise- good selection of games. A bit pricey- 3 drinks plus cover cost us $92.

I was looking forward to a fun evening with friends at this board game café, but our experience was completely soured by the shockingly rude behavior of one of the employees. From the moment we arrived, we were met with hostility and disdain, which was both unprovoked and completely unwarranted. This particular employee not only gave us dirty looks throughout the night but also started packing up one of our games before the café s closing time, without a word of explanation or respect for our enjoyment. It was clear that this person had no interest in making customers feel welcome or valued. As a large group bringing in good business and always being respectful, we were appalled by the lack of basic customer service and common courtesy. This behavior left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome, completely ruining what should have been an enjoyable night. It s disheartening to see such disregard for customers, especially when we chose this place for its supposed friendly atmosphere. Management should really address this issue, as I wouldn t recommend this café to others who value good service and a pleasant experience.

One of the employees grabbed game cards away from someone at our table because we were still scoring the game 3 minutes after closing. Another employee backed them up. Avoid!

My partner and I have visited a bunch of times with friends and always have so much fun! Staff are really friendly and cool. Weve had games recommended on a few occasions and theyve always been a hit. One time a staff member even spent some time with us explaining the rules of Clank. Super chill and nice guy. Food and drinks are tasty! And I also must compliment the music choices of the staff! (During one of our visits Anri was playing and I Shazamd it and Im a city pop stan now )

This place has a cozy vibe which puts you in the mood for playing board games. Our waiter was very friendly and offered to teach us how to play a game. The table was also big enough for any sized board games. Theres a wide selection of games and they are pretty good. The website only shows portion of all the games. It would be helpful to be able to see a complete list, because, I would go to a store just to try out a particular game. It can get noisy when all tables are full, but since the place is not that big, the noise is still manageable for playing board games.

Go to spot for meeting up with friends. Staff is very friendly and help explain the games. The drinks are great also especially the lattes.

A small board game cafe on Yonge and Eglinton. Super cozy and their latte drinks are so cute. They have a good collection of board games to choose from! A plus point for their hello kitty matcha latte. Definitely recommend friends to come here.

Brad was so slay, made the birthday celebration so much better for everyone and showed us dog pics. The place was fun too but like brad is the star of the show duh

Fantastic experience. We hosted an event for about 25 teenagers and they were amazing. The server was patient, kind and efficient. Overall everyone enjoyed the drinks they got and heard lots of positive feedback about the food as well. Very happy with our experience. Thank you!

Great board game place for staying and playing or simply purchasing a new game. Unfortunately the ladies washroom had a bad odor. Maybe an air freshener would be a great idea. Since it is being used by many customers who are enjoying the cafe.

We sat down for the night, service was great. Very prompt and quick. The food and drinks tasted lovely. This last server at the end of the night she was just there to give the bills . She added a bill for my friends husband who was picking her up and not playing. He sat hands down. If they charged us for being there for a while understood. However, this was distasteful. Me and my other friends agreed on it being shady. This server in particular was rude when we clarified it to her. All the other servers were phenomenal. We will support other local(honest) businesses. I would never recommend and let word out. Try Twilight cafe one of my favourites, Juju cafe, snakes and lattes and royal games.

I have been to a few board game cafes in the city and FTW had the best vibe by far. The service for food was quick, the staff were friendly, and although it did not have the biggest selection for games - they had everything I was looking for. It was nice to be able to make a reservation even on a weekend. We tried tons of games that we have been meaning to try! Thanks!

Out of all the board game cafes I ve been to (many!!), this place is my absolute favourite by far. From the delicious food and drinks, to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the very well organized games, it really is hard to find a board game cafe that is all around as great as this one!

Always love spending time at a board game cafe, and especially love it when they offer bubble tea! I ordered the Cajun fries. I don t do ketchup, so I asked for mayo instead, but they wanted to charge me $2 for mayo, which I thought was odd, hence the -1 star. But other than that, I would recommend.

A lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Super nice staff. Definitely going to make it a regular destination. Delicious cocktails and amazing coffee art. Seriously! You have to check it out.

I brought our staff team here for our end-of-year Social and it was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent and the servers were so kind, accommodating and welcoming. There is a great selection of board games and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking for an intimate outing with friends, family or colleagues.

I cant recommend this board game cafe enough! Over the years, Ive been here too many times to count and every time, its been so much fun. They have a huge library of games, the food is amazing, the venue is clean and cosy, and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming :) Its become my go-to place to catch up with friends and its always been a great experience!

The staff here are so friendly and the drinks are amazing! Definitely try the Thai milk bubble tea or the rose milk bubble tea. Very well priced considering the cafe itself and the large selection of games. Definitely coming back.

Server was very lovely and the drinks were pretty solid too! The drinks cost morr than $4 but all contribute $4 to the admission fee. Had a great time! Edit: just went again last weekend and had an amazing time again. Latte art was cute and on point too!

I love this place! I ve been a handful of times and I always keep coming back because it s just that great of a time! They have lots of games of all kinds to choose from and the staff are all very kind and friendly and super helpful. The food is really good too though I hope over time there are more options (such as additional vegan/vegetarian options though the fries are very good), and the coffee is amazing too! All in all, For The Win is a fantastic board game cafe that s fun and well priced and I d recommend anyone to check it out! For groups of six or more there is a mandatory 18% service charge. But the bill for the group CANNOT be split and paid for separately. Thats rather unreasonable.

Absolutely amazing customer service. The staff were so fun and nice. They accommodated our large group and they were so nice to us the whole time. They had such a large variety of games. Their food is priced very reasonably as well. A grilled cheese with chips was only 6 dollars which was surprisingly affordable. They have a 12 dollar cover fee for 3 hours but it lowers down to 8 dollars when you order food. One of the best board game cafes Ive been to. It just much more cozier and comfortable than other large cafes. Will definitely come back!

Had a good experience pre pandemic so I decided to come back. They have a decent selection of games. My friends and I ordered a few alcoholic drinks and some snacks as well. Its a $12 Cover fee, and i spent about $70 in food and drinks for 3 people. Theyve switched to debit only. There is a 3 hour seating limit on weekends, which I get it can get busy. We were handed the bill just a little over 3 hours because one of the staff said they needed the table. We hurriedly paid and try to leave ASAP so others wouldnt have to wait too long. As we were exiting we saw a bunch of empty tables (in fact almost a whole section was empty) and there were no line ups. I understand the 3 hour seating rule if its busy and or if I didnt order anything. But if its not busy and Im spending money on food and drinks, I dont think its great customer service to kick me out. Unfortunately I will not be coming back.

Highly recommend to try the okonomiyaki fries (its a little salty). Theyve got bubble tea as well, so what more can you ask for! All in all love the place, I go here time and time again with friends.

Tons of board games and seating. Its a nice place if you plan on chilling for a few hours. The coffee is also low key amazing.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are solid Parking: Green P handles the nearby parking. I prefer to use the physical system cuz yhey make you load $20 onto the app before letting you buy your first parking ticket. Kid-friendliness: Menu options can be kid friendly, board games are listed and recommended for different groups including families. Adults playing board games can get rowdy with excitement over board games though. Wheelchair accessibility: Curb is unkind, walking space will be too tight for a wheelchair when enough seats are full. Bathroom completely inaccessible without working legs, down a narrow staircase.

Booked a table ahead. We were served right away. We ordered nutella latte, nutella hot chocolate, okonomiyaki fries, for the win belt sandwich, and shibuya toast. Everythings really delicious. The biard games are located at the back of cafe and they can be easily located as they have codes. They also have recommendedations so you wont be overwhelmed by how many games you can play. The staff were nice and accomodating. The place is very well maintained and clean. And you can really enjoy everything here. A must recommend cafe for everyone.

Arrived later than expected (subway had a line closure) with no reservation but they happily accommodated us right away. Service was friendly and prompt; included full explanation of how the place worked along with some recommendations when they observed the games we had chosen. Loads of games to chose from and marked by a traffic light system to indicate difficulty. We only ordered fries as a snack; they were okay, so cannot comment on the food, but again service was speedy for both snacks and drinks considering they appeared to be at around 90% capacity. The cafe is loud but it s also not a library it s full of laughter and people having a good time, which is exactly what we did. Thank you, we will be back!

Fun place to get together with friends. $14 cover but -$4 if you order a drink. Got a peach green tea and it was very refreshing. I d say game selection is smaller than Snakes & Lattes but it pretty much has everything you need! They also have some useful guides taped to the wall such as what games are popular for however many people you have, difficulty level and duration of the game. No parking in the area but there s a green P lot nearby.

Hands down my favorite board game cafe in the city so far. The drink options here both cafe and alcoholic are all fantastic. The food is good as well. The game collection is large and varied with something for everyone. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the games.

They told me that the security cameras are recording audio and can hear everything I say. This seems like a huge invasion of privacy. They do not have any signage indicating that they will be recording audio.

Great business model. A friend needed a bathroom, so our group walked in and asked if we could buy drinks and hangout for like 15-20 minutes in exchange for the bathroom. They said it was fine until my friend tried to go to the bathroom, girl at the counter told us if we weren t willing to sit for at least 2-3 hours and play a game then we can t stay and basically kicked us out. Definitely not going back, the cafe down the street had no problem and we had a great time there instead.

Slow service

Came in there for a board games meetup. Took my money, then when I sat down to wait for more people to come in, told me I couldnt sit by myself and kicked me out. Couldnt pay me back? Somehow. So I walked in, paid 15 dollars and then got kicked out instantly. Im still puzzled about the experience.

Great place to relax and play some games with friends. The food there is perfect for the atmosphere, more so finger food than an actual meal. Although, you can fill yourself up quite quickly on the snacks. They have a diverse set of games which is really nice. Anywhere from Coup, to Guess who, and card against humanity. There s parking nearby so it s not completely out of the way. Kid-friendliness: It s a place with games and friendly stuff.

Very good selection of games, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly and professional staff. The selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages is excellent: everything from delicious and unusual teas and bubble teas to specialty coffees to local beers to fine Japanese whisky. The food options are more limited but fine, consisting of an assortment of snacks and sandwiches. Everything we tried was tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys board games.

I was forced to pay a mandatory gratuity even though we never had 6 people seated at a single table. In response to below: - We did not enter as a group of six, we entered as 4 people. At no point was I made aware that the we had reservation for 6. - The two other people arrived after we had been there for quite some time. I do not personally know those people, they sat at a different table. - At no point did all six of us sit at a single table. I was never made aware that they would be classified as a group with us.

The guy waiting on us was so kind, cracked jokes and made the experience so much more enjoyable than if it was just a normal board game cafe. The atmosphere felt so casual and comfortable. Overall super nice place to hang out at and the staff 10/10 so nice

Its $14 per person, and if you order a drink, the $4 fee is waived. Considering that you can play games all day, it was a satisfactory price for drinks. I ordered 2 cups of bubble tea and it was okay. This is a great cafe to enjoy games!

From the moment we walked in, it was clear something was amiss. It was 90% empty with maybe 5 or 6 kids playing some board games. My friend and I just wanted some dessert so we asked if we could order something to stay briefly but not play any board games and the angriest looking woman behind the counter insisted that it was not AT ALL possible. She repeatedly claimed that unless you re there to play board games (so basically pay $14/person), you could NOT sit at any of the tables (even though the place was literally empty ). It was the weirdest business model we ve ever heard and she actually chose not to serve us because we said we weren t planning on playing any board games. To add, her lack of professionalism is clearly indicated in all of her hilarious comebacks for all the bad Google reviews. While we were there, it was actually pretty wild to interact with someone so negative, unwelcoming, entitled, and completely apathetic all within the span of a 5-min interaction. A fantastic lesson on how not to talk to others. Whoever told this person that she should be customer-facing needs to reevaluate. For obvious reasons, we will not be returning. I hope that this business would take this feedback as an opportunity for improvement, but alas, I m a realist. Stay far far away folks. There are plenty of lovely and kind businesses out there in this neighborhood. Really looking forward to how she addresses this review!

Great place to spend an afternoon! Lots of super fun board games and a chill environment to play in. The highlight was definitely the gamesmaster, who provided very detailed and fun explanations, alongside recommendations that I really had fun with. The cafe aspect was a bit average, but the rest of the place made up for it.

This place is awesome! Amazing spot to spend a few hours with friends... or potentially ruin relationships depending on what games you play! Food and drinks are surprisingly delicious and the staff are amazing too. All around a great time here and you never feel rushed.

I was staying in Toronto over the summer, and this became one of my favourite places to frequent. Great selection of games, especially for a party, and a fantastic drink selection. The staff here are incredibly friendly and accommodating! My friends and I will be making a point of coming back here when we are back in town!

Best espresso martini in the city

Cover charge gets discounted to $8 when you order any food or drink item- such a great deal! Beautiful little place, always clean and welcoming, huge game selection, independently owned (not a franchise/chain!). I love coming here on weekdays when its less busy, but weekend crowds are just the right size - almost full but with a couple of tables still available so you dont have to wait hours to be seated. Id recommend the okonomiyaki fries and the butterfly pea tea drink with tapioca.

Went to this board game cafe and spent more than 2 hours here. Loved it very much! The place is super cozy and they have a good amount of board games selections. You can always let them know what kind of games you are looking for and they will help you. We were lucky to have Brad recommending us a game that turned out to be so fun. He is very patient and helpful in teaching us how to play. My favourite board game cafe and will definitely come back!

Honestly I really used to like this place but I don t know what happened. The service is horrible and they are not attentive to their customers. I ordered a slushy without any extra sugar (like I typically do), the server brought me the wrong slushy. I asked her to bring me the correct one and she came back. I tasted the drink and it was really sweet. I confirmed with her that it had no sugar she said yes. I drank it. My boyfriend ordered the same slushy with half sugar and it was SIGNIFICANTLY less sweet. I had a stomach ache for the rest of the evening. I told the manager, she told me I was wrong. The entire table tried both drinks and agreed that I was in fact correct and that my drink had full sugar. She gave me my receipt and the drink was on it. Did not apologize or anything. She was very rude. Don t come here, they definitely don t respect their customers and don t take the blame for their mistakes.

I had a really fun time here! There s a huge selection of games to play. There matcha tea and Okonomiyaki fries were delicious. I do wish were more healthier options on the menu. Cover is only $12, which also gives you $4 credit to anything on the menu. The washroom downstairs is spooky.

Ive come here a few times with friends and family, always a good time. The 4 stars are because I was accidentally charged $48 for a no-show reservation fee when I did in fact show up. They refunded me within a few days of noticing however.

Game selection is pretty good. Tried to get help learning a couple different games and no one there knew how to teach them. Over all the employees are really friendly and I had a good time .

Lots of boardgames to select from with reasonably priced food and drink options. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly throughout. Quite crowded but the environment was really great. Went above and beyond esp during Halloween as staff were dressed up and even did their bathrooms. Would highly recommend this boardgame cafe over others in Toronto

great place, i had alot of fun going there with my friends to play board games. The only issue i had with it is that the price was way too high for what we did. We just went there and ordered 1 or 2 things and were charged well over 200 dollars. I might go back again but for the price they charged us i might as well buy the game myself and play with my friends at my home.

Had my daughters 11th birthday here. It was great! Fantastic service and the girls had fun the entire time. The hot drinks had cute and unique designs on them which the girls loved.

Excellent service, facilities, and all the teenagers enjoyed their food and bubble tea. Highly recommend for a teenager birthday. We brought in our own cake for a small charge.

Brought my team for a board game night and we had a blast. Amazing selection of games, fun menu and, great service and easy set-up. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back.

Came here late night to celebrate my birthday and it was a great experience. Drinks were delicious and its clear they take good care of the games. Only wish I couldve stayed here longer.

Me and another dad took a group of four 11 year old boys on a Saturday night. They took one table to play games, and we took our own table and had a catch up over a beer. The boys had a blast and will definitely go again. Great selection of both beer and kid friendly bubble teas / slushies / snacks. Make a reservation though it was packed.
