440 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1X5, Canada
Laid-back haunt with a patio offering a wide selection of craft beers, pub grub & wood-fired pizza.
The MUST Shawn and Denis are the Best Ever! Service, Food, Ambience... Don't hesitate if what you need is to get out of your busy week or just after an afternoon of work.
Great pizza, beer and overall ambiance! Thanks to Denis and Sean for outstanding service, I will definitely come back!!!
I had the pleasure of attending a networking event recently. The venue was lovely and the atmosphere was buzzing with conversation. While the company was enjoyable, I have to mention the food was amazing. Each dish was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. It was truly a delightful experience all around.
I visited this place with a group of 10 friends and the quality of food was not matching the menu price. Apparently, the wood in the oven was new, and made three of our pizzas burnt. After we alerted the waiter, he offered Tequila shots to compensate the bad experience and we accepted. Surprisingly, he came with a completely different drink which had a pink color and tasted like vodka with water. When my friend questioned the waiter about the shots, the waiter started to being rude with him and at the end he charged automatically the 20% gratuity for group tables of more than five people regardless all the mistakes, bad food and bad experience.
We ordered foods that you can’t possibly get wrong and we felt the price of food didn’t match the quality. My order was avocado toast: a regular thin toast came with barely any cheese on it and an avocado without any salt or lemon, a tasteless avocado toast! My daughter got waffles and chicken, the waffles were almost burned, almost stale and pretty chewy, the chicken was too thin and overcooked. The pizza was tasty but very light on ingredients again. We were pretty disappointed.
I visited for the first time and was impressed by the overall experience. Their extensive beer menu offers a great variety, perfect for those who love to explore different brews. For my meal, I ordered the Hunter’s Chicken and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion—half a chicken! The chicken was exceptionally juicy, tender, and had a rich, buttery flavor that was just perfect. The portion size was more than satisfying. I noticed that their pizza is a popular choice among patrons, likely because it's kiln-baked, which adds a unique touch to the flavor and texture. I'll definitely try it next time! The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a fantastic time, and I’d highly recommend this place for both the food and the atmosphere. I’m looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu!
It’s very difficult to find good authentic pizza margherita in Toronto but their wood fired pizza surprised me. All the ingredients seemed to be fresh and good quality. The arancini were also very good, I highly recommend trying the pizza if you go here.
V is for Victory, or perhaps it’s for Very reasonable Value for a Toronto pub. The Victory fries were honestly pretty great with a nice crunch and solid saucing. The house lager was delicious too - slightly slow service is my main knock on this place, but it’s a fine spot to drop in.
We went there after a night out and it was Wednesday December 4 around 9pm. Ordered 3 pizzas and some wine and negronis. The pizza was trash as I think they steamed my pizza instead of cooking in a a hot oven. The crust was white and the toppings were cold. Had better pizza at Pizza Pizza or 711 at Spadina and Bloor. This place is trash go somewhere else. 120 bucks down the drain for overpriced trash pizza. Felt sick for days after eating half cooked dough. BARF.....
This place is gold. Turned up with 50+ other people throughout the night a couple of weeks ago, when they were expecting 20 and they handled it like pros. Great local beer, excellent service. Thank you for looking after us all
Went here Thursday night and it was such a great experience. Denis the bartender made me his signature cocktail (the cinnamella) which was so good and Juliet served me and she was super attentive and friendly. The food was also great! Highly recommend this place :)
Great pizza the Best on that part of town
Great selection of beer. Food was great, staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Great wood oven pizza. Mussels are excellent. Vegetarian options: Pizza and other options Parking: Heated patio with cover, good when its chilly. Pet friendly as well.
Great selection of beer and the wait staff are very knowledgable. Pizza is delicious. We got stuck on the outside patio because the inside had trivia night, but the outside was very cosy and comfortable with overhead heaters.
Dietary restrictions: Had gluten free crust Food
Great beer selection and the food was really good as well Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has a small step in, but the bathroom is downstairs Food : 5/5 |
Best.. pizza.. ever.. Open late (hallelujah) and offer great service. Honestly, pizza authenticity at its finest and most dreamy! Food : 5/5
Great food at a good price!
Food, drinks and service were amazing.
The best pizza in Toronto. Great atmosphere great service
The Poutine is grand! Large beer selection too.
Ive been here for drinks before, and its been fine. But I went here for brunch on a weekend and had the worst waffle that Ive ever had in my entire life. I guess it serves me right for getting brunch from a bar. Drinks are fine, but 0 out of 10 do not recommend for brunch.
Amazing pizzas and cheap drinks!
Phenomenally attentive wait staff, epic pizza and a startling selection of beers...whats not to love about Victory?
Pizza awesome. Sam/Dennis the bartenders very nice.
The service is very nice and accommodating. The food is okay, but the portions are rather small. Therefore, relatively expensive. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian dishes and pizza on the menu
This is the second time for dinner & drinks and unfortunately, the food is below average. No mussels ( had ran out at 5:30pm?) on the Milanese rissotto, bland and not properly cooked. Sangria was a strange cloudy pink colour, not red? Overall unfavorable food dining experience, the only saving grace was the friendly staff.
Nice, slightly loud music
Great spot for drinks and pizza. Great atmosphere
I m sitting here . Nobody comes to take my order and waiter said my shift is done . Weird though haven t have any experience to share .
Great experience Bartender was super friendly and helpful Will definitely com back Thank you Denis!! Food : 5/5 |
As a vegetarian, I enjoyed my first beyond meat burger here. Also a rich collection of beer on tap. For the European who is not yet familiar with Canadian beers, there is a large collection of Dutch/Belgian Trapist beer in the bottle :) And there is plenty of shade on the terrace!!! ...... Came back here six months later. Enjoyed a delicious fresh bruschetta :)
I m very happy to came here one of the best food I tried here in Canada, excellent customer service 10/10, today my service was Xhoi, his recommendation about the food was excellent. I will come back again, lovely place to come with the friends and family.
Tried the Margherita pizza and espresso martini. Great service and good food
Excellent staff, and delicious food. Reasonably priced drinks too! Parking: Depends if you want to pay on street or walk some distance via a side street. Food : 5/5 |
Really cool spot, went for the monthly drag brunch and had an amazing time! They do an excellent espresso martini~
This pizza is delicious!!! I don t like 95% of pizza because it doesn t taste like the pizza made here. Service is good too. Food
my family and i dropped in for brunch and loved it! we ve only ever come for dinner, but the breakwitch was amazing! fast service (and flexible to dietary restrictions!) and friendly staff:)
Great salmon dinner on the patio!
Trivia was pretty fun, however the place could use some fans cause it was suffocating.. Everyone on my table got their food served but they forgot my pizza. It was worth the wait though, pretty delicious !
Nice side-street patio. Weekday evening, was fairly busy. Orders were taken quickly, but received the wrong one (chicken instead of fish risotto) - took a while to get servers attention Food
Excellent food and service
Delicious pizza with a great wood fire oven. Great service from Dave who suggested pizzas and drinks (beer and cider). Everything went perfect with him. We are coming back for sure. Great experience
Food and service was good. The fries were really good. Patio is nice but every time I go my table is really wobbly.
Amazing food, Innis and Gunn on tap as well as many local breweries, excellent scotch list and service is 10/10.
Terrible service. I had to catch the waiters attention for everything. He even served a table that arrived after me. Never checked on my section even if I was right by the door he had to go back and forth in. I ended up going to another bar across the street for another drink and had a way better experience. Also, it wasn t until I saw the other reviews and realized they never showed me the bill, only the machine. Shady.
Dave our Server was Top Shelf. He helped our group of 6 with the utmost care and Professionalism. 10/10 Dave is a Rock Star!
Good pizza, friendly servers, nice patio. Great neighborhood spot, good section of beers. Antipasto platter to start is also always good. Missing the wow effect.
Gluten free pizza is SO good! I have celiac disease and was worried about cross contamination but the kitchen is open and they did a great job at limiting cross contamination by cleaning the area etc. Drink are also great and they have a wonderful and casual outdoor patio.
So good pizza here! Highly recommend Margarita.
Fantastic craft beer selection, which is what they are known for. Foods, especially the pizzas are amazing. Service is attentive and warm. The bartender we had was very good and welcoming. The place was pretty empty in the early afternoons, but do fill up during dinner times. Thier brunch is fantastic too, and thier prices are stuck at the pre-covid level, about 14-17 per dish. Tastes fantastic, and just look at the pictures!
What a great and authentic English pub really enjoyed the shepherds pie with real lamb not replaced with beef
I m 76 so loudness is a problem for me as I get older. Volume of people s voices too high. But that s everywhere now, sadly. Food great, service excellent. Food
Nice service, very good place
Best food and atmosphere in the city. Thank you verymuch!!!
I visited Victory Cafe on March 22nd 2024 with a reservation at 6:30pm. Ordered the Mediterranean Pizza and got the most awful food poisoning. Within 2hrs I was throwing up. My friend also ordered a pizza so I don t think it was the dough, sauce or cheese but the toppings. Either the black olives or artichoke maybe. Worst I ve ever felt in my life. We were also out on their so called heated and covered patio during a snow storm so the dining experience was cold and uncomfortable. Our server was nice so no complaints there but overall I don t see myself ever returning
Its not as good as I thought. The waiters were not so nice that night, and the steak was overcooked. They dont seem to want to change the new one for you, but it costs CAD28. No service at all. Food was very small portion, steak was very thin. It was good service and food before, around 2 years ago. This is my last time going to this restaurant, not anymore.
The wine was cheap and cheerful. Lovely place and staff.
Had the salmon burguer, it was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. My friend ordered a salad and it was almost a whole chopped up lettuce with a few pieces of dry chicken. The atmosphere was really nice tho.
The food is some of the best I have had in Toronto. I was stunned at how good the meals were. The chicken with bread bechamel sauce was incredible, as was the poached pear salad.
Great food wonderful music and service was excellent. Our grandkids loved the pancakes.
The pizzas here absolutely slaps. Beer selection is also stellar. Really good food in a non-pretentious setting, its the pub of your dreams. Definitely worth visiting
Loved, Loved, Loved, this place!!! The service and food and craft bears were all excellent. We will definitely be back. Cant wait for the patio to open up this summer!!!
Great food and everything was gluten free.
First time trying this place-the patio was open and I had heard good things about this restaurant-my son ordered the pizza snd it was thin crusted and delicous. The pastas ordered were the chicken pesto that was great anf the carbonara was okay-I had the cheeseburger which was dry-there was little to no sauce on it and the bun was dry-it was like it was cooked earlier on or the day before and my fries were the same-should have complained but our server didnt come around until the end of our meal to check on how things were with us-so not sure if they were under staffed. I had to ask for more water which came when we were ready to leave-forgot to mention that half of the specials listed -they were out of and we were there at 530 pm for an early dinner. This place is really great if you are in the mood for pizza. Disappointed otherwise of our dinner experience so I give this place a generous 3 out of 5 .
We had a great night here! Staff were very accommodating and made space for us on the patio on short notice, and went above and beyond when I ordered a slice of cake as a birthday surprise. The great service made for a really wonderful celebration! Many thanks!
I went in for a coffee and a dessert, but it was the only thing I didnt see on the menu... The place is excellent for dining and sharing, ideal for dates... Great variety of imported beers...
I have been living in Toronto for about 16 years and never went to this place. Tried it on a whim and I honestly wish I could turn back time amazing food, cocktails and staff!!
Good job Vegetarian options: Tnx Food : 5/5 |
Food and service were great
Came here around 6pm on New Years Eve for dinner. Ordered a margherita pizza and bruschetta. Partner ordered fried mac and cheese. Noticed that the pizza wasnt hot when it came, and halfway through eating the bruchetta, we noticed that the bread for the bruchetta was cold in the middle but the edges of the bread had been warm (used frozen bread and then reheated it?). The server had asked if it was ok to bring everything out at the same time and we said yes so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and figured that the Mac and cheese took longer and the other stuff got cold. Pizza wasnt very good (flavourless tomato sauce but decent cheese and real basil). Bruschetta was ok taste-wise but would have been better if the bread wasnt cold). Partner found the mac and cheese very rich and heavy (great for people who love cheese). I woke up in the middle of the night with food poisoning. Service was ok but will not come back since the food made me sick. Very disappointing
Its always good times at Victory Cafe. I remember going to the old location down the street from Honest Eds back in the day. Since their newish spot on Bloor has been opened now for a couple of years, weve also been here a few times before and usually sit on the patio. However, for NYE 2023, we booked a table inside for seven of us. THE VIBE: Firstly, let me just say that our server, Ben, was AWESOME! He had such great energy and really took care of us. Victory should feel fortunate to have such a great team member. The decor here is cozy, the music is not too loud, so you can actually have a conversation with people. You can chill at the bar and have some drinks or at a table. During winter, youd be lucky to get a seat at the back near the wood burning oven, where I suspect it is nice and toasty. THE FOOD: Wow, man, the food here is super yummy. Heres what we all had: - Poached pear salad (big) - Mushroom pizza (yummy) - Steak (OMG...so good) - Salmon (one of the best Ive had) - Fries (plentiful, hot, crispy - nice) - Risotto (my friend had two) THE DRINKS: We had a few drinks like the Tiki, which was very yummy - highly recommend. DISAPPOINTMENTS: # 1 - Both the Risotto and Salmon dishes were shockingly small portions. My salmon dish had very little veggies, and the sweet potatoes seemed to be missing until I realized there was a little smear of it - like a garnish - below the salmon. Unfortunately, I left feeling unsatiated and cheated by such a small meal. My friends Risotto bowl portion was so small that he had to order another one. # 2 - A couple of Tiki drinks were loaded with ice. I swear, my wife scooped out two-thirds of a glass of ice. Because of the small portions and ice issue, Ive deducted a star in the food category. We will definitely return to Victory Cafe, BUT not before I know theyve addressed these above issues. RECOMMENDATION: Before ordering the salmon and risotto dishes, you may want to ask your server if the portions are still super tiny. Also, when getting the Tiki drinks, ask for less ice. WRAP-UP: Id highly recommend Victory Cafe to anyone in the Annex area and beyond if you are looking for a cool and cozy place to: - Grab drinks with your peeps - Dinner with the family - An intimate place for a date - Or just a cool place to grab a delicious bite
Pizza from the wood fired oven was excellent. Wide selection of beer and liquor. Chill spot.
This used to be an amazing place for veggie options. However, I checked out their menu at the new location, many of the dishes are gone. They used to have a curry rice bowl with mango chutney and papadum. Rating it 4 star for previous location. Did not go in this time because lack of vegetarian options on the menu.
If you want to spend a pleasant evening, I recommend you to stop by Victory Cafe. Wood oven pizzas make the difference 100% I recommend it. Food : 5/5
Lovely place
Youd think its an ordinary Cafe but its Cafe + bar. Heated patio helps serve additional guests. Food is great and crowd is super cool
Great selections of beers and delicious pizza !
The atmosphere and service here is my favourite part. The only complaint I would ever have is that sometimes my favourite dish can be underwhelming, but the next time I go, it will be even better than the first time I had it. Would definitely recommend coming here if you can
Trivia is always so busy yet the staff and food remain fantastic. We had Brian as our server tonight and he was so helpful and friendly - he made lots of drink and food recommendations and we loved them all.
The menu was very confusing, no pricing is found on the menu, the tea and scones were not something special at all.
Ive been coming here for years and it really clicked last night with how special this place is. If heading to Lees or Hot Docs we always come here before. Im there probably every 2 or 3 months. The bartender recognizes, greets me and knows my drink order before I sit down. Went last night with my partner and we had a really great dinner. The mac and cheese is one of the best in the city and they also have an fantastic burger that no one seems to talk about. Service was great they make us feel like family there. Top notch neighbourhood spot thats outlasted so many others for a reason. We said last night it really should be a destination meal rather than something we do if in the area, its really that good and really easy to get to.
The best restaurant in Toronto!
The food is really good, big portions and overall really enjoyable. Sam assisted us and she was really nice. I definitely plan on coming back soon. Thanks again Sam!!
Victory Cafe is a chill location on Bloor Street. I ve been a number of times now, and have received consistently good service. The pricing is fair enough, the drinks are fine (though some people in our party received the wrong drinks), and the food is pretty good. I had the Wild Mushroom pizza with added chicken (the $5 to add the chicken is probably not worth it). The pizza was good, though I generally prefer the Lumberjack option.
Food not great. Good beer selection, but did not enjoy the one I ordered. Service is great, though, friendly and attentive!
The place has a cool vibe. Dave the bartender looked after us well. My friend had a burger and fries that looked good but my Mac and Cheese was the largest portion either of us had ever seen. It tasted ok but I had an upset stomach afterwards. I wish they had chicken wings. Having daid all that, Id go back. Kid-friendliness: Not perticularly kid-friendly - mostly adult oriented.
What a great spot for food! Looking forward to the patio to be open this summer.
A very good quality of foods and service.
Went to the drag brunch last week for my 30th birthday and had the BEST day ever!! The vibe, the drinks and food were fantastic, and the drag show was so amazing!!! I won the lip sync battle and couldn t have asked for a better birthday Recommend the drag brunch for anyone who likes drag and a good time! Will definitely be back soon
Great service, food and drinks. Had a great time and for sure will come again.
My daughter and I shared a pasta with walnuts and the annex pizza. It was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and very hospitable.
This place is amazing, have eaten here at least 10 times and love everything Ive had. Beer selection is fantastic. Also a great place to order for large groups as have a few times for our staff, everyone loves the pizza and there are few places left in the world where we can feed 20 people quality food $150-ish.
Friendly bartender and local customers who also enjoyed the Tuesday-night trivia game. People seemed to be enjoying their wood-fired pizzas and drinks. Had the seafood ariabbatta which was not huge, nor very spicy, but impeccably cooked by the kitchen staff in an open kitchen.
Waiters are everytime nice ! The beers are excellent and the pizza, for me the best in Toronto
Stopped by for a late lunch by myself, wasnt too busy. Italian based menu, good options. Got a quick and simple margarita pizza and mussles. They were both pretty good. Service could of been a little quicker but it wasnt terrible. I thought everything was decently priced. Id pass by again, especially for the patio.
Excellent pizza!
Great food and drink including excellent european style red or white pizzas served in a British pub setting with a huge variety of craft beers to enjoy. Well worth a visit.
My family and I went for a late lunch. The atmosphere was perfect. The service (Brian - I hope that s the right name) was incredible. The food was unique, and masterfully made. The price is beyond reasonable. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a place to eat, relax and indulge!!! We will definitely return in the future!!!! Parking: Lots of local street and lot parking. Kid-friendliness: Kids had a blast. Great food options for them.
Inattentive, and slow service on a quiet day. Never wound up getting served.
Great selection of beers amazing pizza!
For the price of a semi-decent plate of pasta, you can get a snack sized portion of semi-decent pasta. I got the seafood arrabbiata. One of the mussels was gritty and the other one straight up had a piece of shell hidden in it. The waitress was kind enough to ask me about it afterward when she saw the piece of shell on my plate.
I had the chicken pesto pasta and it was delicious! Our server was great and we enjoyed the patio.
Stellar beer selection and service. The vibe is excellent and the patio space is particularly nice. While almost no one takes advantage of it, theyre also really awesome about accommodating families with small kids (particularly in the afternoon and early evening)
Restaurant cancelled toogoodtogo to go three times 20 mins before pick up. Restaurant obviously not considerate of customers time.
Went there on May 27th, 2023, which was a week ago. I didnt realize I got charged $1 more until going through my receipts and pics now. (Yeah I do take pics of the menu all the time.) Its just one dollar more but I doubt anyone would be happy with being overcharged. We ordered a beef carpaccio salad ($15.95 according to the menu I got indoors), a prosciutto & mushroom pizza, and a risotto Milanese. Food and the service were just ok. Now Im going through the receipt then I found out they charged me $16.95 for the beef carpaccio salad. Not sure if its a typo, or they raised the price but didnt change it on the menu. Either is unacceptable. Btw some price on the menu posted outside didnt match the price on the menu I got indoors. You should update the menu outside to avoid confusing your customers.
Good menu, great variety. Food tastes good.
My friend and I went here for a light dinner and some drinks. We ordered the tuna tartare and beef carpaccio and were far from disappointed! Absolutely delicious and at the right price point. Really great food. They had some tasty sour beers on the menu we enjoyed with our meal. Our bartender, Davey, was a delight. Nice atmosphere, good crowd. Start your night here for a great time out!
Great vibe, location, service. Wood fired oven makes excellent pizza!
June 11 2023 was very disappointed, waiter was rude, 4/5 people at our table had complaints - my salad arrived wrong 2x - long wait for food and then items were left off - food was awful but service was worst Ive ever experienced - had been there before and it was great last time, so this was a huge let down. Will not be returning.
Items on large street menu not available to order, this was odd and disappointing. We came to relax, not to experience a bureaucracy.
Its a fun and lively place with better food than most bars. The original Victory burger is one of the best Ive had. Top 5.
The service was terrible and I didnt like the food it tasted bad. Also, the dessert looked factory made
Business owners saddle wait staff to deliver $5 sticker shock to use credit for payment at end of visit. This is undermining the staffs ability to earn tips for their hard labour as clients leave. Poor form, lacking empathy. Ive been coming to The Victory for 15 years and this may be the end.
Went here to study for a few hours on someone elses suggestion. I have personally never studied at a bar before and definitely had my doubts, but it was a chill location that was super conducive to people being left in peace. They primarily played Drake at first (which I truly was a fan of) and as the night progressed, the music got more eclectic and interesting. I was told this is a normal occurrence and will likely try this spot out again for a work / study session.
Absolutely terrible service. The overall rating that rounds to 4 rather than 5 stars (not to mention plenty of other 1 star reviews) is well earned by this place. Place comes across as though its run by college students who are 100% cocky 0% competent.
Went here last Sunday for brunch. Our server was very nice albeit completely new (I understand how difficult it is for the industry right now). I ordered the ricotta stuffed French toast, which doesn t show on the current online menu. It was just ok. When I was almost done my meal, I bit into an expired strawberry and after eating almost everything else, I didn t feel that I could say something. Just outside, there was a very drunk or high man who kept trying to enter the restaurant and the staff would keep him out, yet they let his two very drunk friends stay in the restaurant. So, it was a constant coming and going of these two drunk men checking on their friend outside. It didn t make any sense to us why they didn t just kick out all three! Their pizzas looked good and if I ever had to go back, that s what I d order, but I definitely wouldn t return for breakfast food. Lastly, if you use a credit card, the user fees are passed onto the customer which I haven t experienced in the dining world yet and I go out often.
The pizza was excellent and staff are wonderful.
Food was delicious. I especially liked the pesto chicken pasta.
Great prices for a nice drink on their cozy patio. The service was excellent however I was not a fan of their brunch.
Great place to hang out in the evenings (esp on the patio), with a great selection of simple dishes. Decent beverage selection too.
Nick runs a good shop... Nice fellow . Though needs to remove the credit card charge.
Awesome pizza and fries, amazing selection of great beers.
Amazing place.
The brunch was not good. We were 1 of 2 tables at the entire restaurant. I ordered the Victory breakfast 2 eggs, 2 toast, bacon, home fries, salad with fruit. The scrambled eggs were so overcooked and dry. The whole plate was drizzled with balsamic glaze, everything was covered in it, eggs, fries, fruit, everything. The server was really nice but service was soo slow. For $18 breakfast per person it was pretty bad!
Great brunch, and thanks to Lucas for the good vibes!
In a group of 7 of us, 3 people had to send food back. (1 mussels order was cold, after returning it, it came back hot after 3 minutes without the bread. When asked if they just microwaved it, the server said i dunno maybe sorry ). The entire night we only saw our server a few times. She was pleasant, but maybe very busy? Then when paying, she handed us the machine first, then put the bill down after. After I tipped, I saw on the bill it was gratuity (of 20%) included. She did not let us know and I ended up overtipping way too much on terrible service. Was a very unpleasant experience.
Never disappointed! Foods great!
Well, Ive been walking by there many times. Always looked at the menu but last I walked in and the place is not fancy but their dishes are great. We ordered the pasta carbarnara was simply delicious, also risotto with seafood and appetizer the muscles was all delicious. Will go back and the prices are reasonable but the food is really excellent. Their was so much to choose from and the pizza would be my next choice.
We had a really nice brunch at Victory Cafe today. The food and service were good, even though we had to wait a bit. The place was buzzing with people, which made it lively. Its a good spot for a tasty brunch.
Went on a little sibling date. The pasta was delicious except for the dry chicken, and the service was great from our server and the host!
Perfect pizza, Nice and friendly staff.
Food was good. Be aware on Sundays they dont have their regular menu till 2 pm which is what I wanted. They only have brunch. Service was good. Waitresses nails were disgustingly long for serving and after a while she disappeared
Ive been going to Victory Cafe since it was located in the Mirvish Village (RIP). Theyve always had a good drink menu, but the new location affords a nice pizza oven, so their pizza is better than what you get at the average bar. They also have a nice covered patio, although I miss the old one...
Margherita pizza soo good here and they have an Amazing selection of beers!
Awful steak and burger Ive ever eaten in my life and pizza also Stuff was nice and friendly
Dozens of craft beers on tap and a large selection of Belgian bottles. Shades of the old Tequila Bookworm? ;)
Delicious food! Very cool menu.
First time here and it was great! Ordered the avalanche pizza and risotto with seafood, both were fresh and tasted great. Cool vibe, close to other restaurants and venues. Looking forward to trying more from them! Vegetarian options: Mac and cheese, pizza, beyond burger
Pizza was very delicious & it was nicely paired with the Honest Lot wine.. which was so good. We went for brunch but ended up waiting till 230 to order pizza because they didnt have brioche buns or croissants... The service was a bit slow but the quality of the pizza made up for it. Will def go again!
Ordered delivery from them, the food came fast and was very reasonably priced. Driver was nice
Absolutely Appalling Experience! Ive been a loyal patron of Victory for two years, reminiscing about the times it was a delightful spot to dine in. However, last night proved that every good chapter eventually closes. Despite bringing large groups and showing our unwavering loyalty, we were not only met with a glaring lack of service but are now dealing with health repercussions from their food. Heres a breakdown of our horrendous evening: Inattention to Customers: An agonizing 10-minute wait just for someone to acknowledge our presence. The waiter with the moustache seemed to evaporate after taking our order. Negligent Service: Our empty glasses after the first round were ignored. A table full of thirsty patrons, and not a single waiter in sight to offer refills. Food Timing Disaster: Our appetizers and main courses made a simultaneous entrance, turning our meal into a jumbled mess. Lack of Table Maintenance: Our table became a dumping ground for dirty dishes and glasses, with no one attending to it. Health Concerns: Most distressingly, every single one of us suffered from severe diarrhea until the next day due to their food. This is not just about bad service; its a health hazard. Audacious Tip Addition: And to cap off the evening, a brazen 20% tip was added to each $50 bill. For the worst service and dining experience ever? Absurd. A word of caution for potential diners at Victory: Rethink your decision. We left feeling cheated, sick, and utterly disrespected. A complete travesty.
Good beer selection and nice atmosphere
Enjoyed an evening out with friends. Great bruschetta, solid burgers. Wide variety of pints. Music from the 60s and 70s
Was handed a menu, wanted to order some pasta, only to be informed that the cafe was only doing pizzas. Maybe mention that to a customer at the time they are handed a menu?
Cozy atmosphere!! Great beer selection!! And very cool servers!! Food
One of the best experiences in Toronto to date. Perfect music at a great volume to enhance the ambiance. Great fun and chill server with the best Pizza I ve had in my life. Not a place to miss to share a drink and a laugh.
Hands down one of the best pizza in town, service is amazing, and the place is super cozy! Also love all the vegetarian options!
Great place, a cut above nearby pubs. Dietary restrictions: My partner can get a gluten-free pizza or bun for burger. Food : 5/5 |
Loved the heated patio, was nice and comfy even in November. Great service, a delightful time.
Absolutely loved the chill vibe, great pizza, nice music played at the perfect volume and very friendly staff. We saw some kids go look at the authentic wood-fire pizza oven and the kitchen staff were so sweet with them. Definitely going to be coming back often
Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. The pizza seemed popular but I was impressed with the selection of drinks and the skill of the bar staff. Definitely a nice place to stay warm in good company on a rainy night. Do yourself a favour, order La Fumarita, its an amazing smokey take on a classic 75.
Great beer list, tasty pizzas and always tables available. Great spot for a work lunch, or a casual friend hang Vegetarian options: Tasty
Lovely food and excellent service at a good price point.
Great food + service :)
Brunch on Sunday, November 26, 2023: coffee was thin, hard, terrible. Server said it had just been brewed. Omelet came from a frozen pack, piece of ham in it was rubber. Service was almost non-existent. Do not go there for brunch.
Great place to eat and visit. I went during high time which made it hard for me to hear conversation with my friends. I will go back at a quieter time. Cake was delicious !
Great vibes! Thanks for your kindness
My favorite spot in the evenings!
One of the best pizzas in Toronto. In addition to good craft beers, and good tequila and Mexcal. The waiters are very friendly.
We had our company holiday gathering at Victory Cafe. The food was great and the service excellent. Great pizza. Will definitely go back with friends. Vegetarian options: A variety of vegetarian pizzas to choose from.
Our night was awesome, all thanks to Theo! He knew everything about the menu and made our meal extra special. Theo was super nice, making us feel really welcome. He took care of everything, and the pizzas were amazing so tasty! Were definitely coming back, and well ask for Theo again. Big thanks!
good service
Amazing place with great food & prices. The service was particularly excellent.
Was there for a dinner Saturday night. Had the Bruschetta, Fettuccini Ragu and a glass of Pino Noir. I really liked the wine. The bread the bruschetta was baked on was unique. Nice bake from the oven but more of a flat bread, nice crust. The bruschetta was overpowered by a balsamic glaze that was drizzled on top. The Fettuccini was overcooked and the ragu tasted more like a marinara with meat than a ragu. My partner had a pizza. I tried it and it was much better. Recommend the pizza and wine. The beer selection looked great. The pasta was not good. Avoid the pasta.
Great pizza
Plenty of drink options, tonnes of beers to choose from. They are all itemized on the wall. Good service, and they serve oven made pizza til 2 a.m. So thats a plus. You can get late nite fries and bruschetta as well.
