Substantial and tasty breakfast, excellent value for money and very friendly staff: the counter is managed by a single lady who pays attention to each table, serves the dishes, takes care of payments and seating customers, while there is only one chef in the kitchen for many preparations. The food arrives after the appropriate wait and customers are greeted with steaming coffee. Small space and clearly visible from the street. Clean and fresh environment. I recommend it, we will certainly return during our stay in Toronto!

The food was very tasty and filling. The atmosphere was a bit hectic, but we also went during their busy Sunday brunch rush.

This adorable hole-in-the-wall offers huge delicious breakfasts and great service. I mean, even the coffee was good!! My husband and I are deeply regretting leaving this place for our last day in Toronto.

Back again to review this place as I am a regular here at this point. The staff transcend service to the point of being treated like family. From greeting you by name when you walk in and already having your fresh hot coffee poured into the cup before you make it to the front. The definition of Community lives and thrives within the walls of this establishment. I ll never stop sharing this place with friends and family, I ve always dreamed of becoming a regular at a breakfast spot and now I have. Excited for every morning because I know their coffee helps fuel my day (Old Review) The staff of this establishment have a tendency to treat you like family. The food is always picture perfect, and the taste is always immaculate. It s a damn shame this place ever gets looked over for all of those boujee breaky spots. If I were the mayor of this city I d outlaw all breakfast joints expect this one

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Egg Sunrise Grill and I must say, Susy, our waitress, made the experience truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, her warm smile welcomed us, setting the tone for a delightful meal. Susy s outstanding service was impeccable; she was attentive, efficient, and ensured our coffee cups were never empty. Her genuine care for her customers truly shines through, creating an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. With Susy at the helm, its no wonder the Egg Sunrise Grill is a favourite spot for breakfast. Her professionalism and friendliness make every visit a memorable one, and I cant wait to come back for more.

The Egg Sunrise Grill employs a server named Susie who is masterful at her job. She greets you when you enter the restaurant, quickly gets you a table with a menu, and then provides outstanding service by her attention to detail: from ensuring our coffee and water cups were full to bringing me a paper container - without me asking for it - when she saw I d eaten just half of my omelette. We were served our food promptly and with a smile. She creates an atmosphere where you really feel cared for, while ensuring all her customers get what they want and need. The food was also great!

This place is so old school and its everything I miss about 20 years ago in one little Eatery. Amazing and uncomplicated breakfast with a bottomless coffee mug. Service was right on top of it and both the patrons and the staff were super friendly! Smoked salmon Benedict Was so perfect and the turkey bacon was the best cooked Ive had in years. perfect: right between chewy and crispy.

The food was delicious and you get alot and at a fair price. Staff are friendly and very helpful and make sure to.check on you often to see if you need anything. Love the cozy home feeling the atmosphere provides. One thing my husband did not appreciate was that when he went to pay the bill at the counter the waitress added a 20% tip to the bill on her own and ddi not mention it and asked my husband Method of payment ao husband said debit qnd ahe said tap. When he said his card cant qnd had to push thw card in to pay that is when he realized what she did and removed the 20% from our bill as we left her a $5 tip on the table. Parking: You will have to find paid street parking in the area.

Avacado Egg Benedicts is really good

Early Sunday morning mission for food lead us here... unexpectedly amazing! Prices align with other breakfast places in the area. The food had flavour but nothing too crazy. I will say it was tastier than most. The deciding factor for recommending this spot was the server, I wish I could remember her name! She easily handled the entire restaurant by herself without any hiccups in service. She brought our order hot from cooking and freshly plated which made a huge difference in overall tastiness. I encourage you to stop in at Egg Sunrise Grill if youre ever in the area!

Oh my goodness the BEST pancakes with Nutella, strawberries and bananas ever. Staff were great (topped up my pot of tea without needing to ask). It has a lovely slightly retro feel and will go back to try the eggs Benedict next.

I have just eaten one of the most glorious burgers in a long while (lumberjack). I regret not ordering my own (I actually refused to pick anything upon ordering), and actually ate my husbands. Thank you for this lovely creation, it made me blush.

So, I was biking Aimlessly looking for an open restaurant on Labour Day Monday. When I came across a little diner at Gladstone and Dundas. The name of this restaurant is Egg Sunrise Grill and its a small little mom and pop shop that had the most fantastic serving staff a quite an eclectic menu. I had their Skillet Breakfast which consisted of Bacon, sauteed onion, green pepper, mushrooms, chedder cheese topped with 3 eggs on a bed of homefries with side of hollandise sauce. Not sure the spices they were using but I barely needed any pepper. The staff was courteous and polite an I dont think I needed to ask once to refill my coffee its just constantly being filled. I can t wait to go back and try something new on their menu. So, thank you very much!

Typical Canadian breakfast. The menu is very varied and the dishes are well served. The environment is spacious. Coffee is served and replenished all the time. We had the Canadian omelet, stuffed with bacon, cheddar and mushrooms. Served with fries and buttered toast with strawberry jam on the side. Good service. Good flavor.

Absolutely enjoyed the breakfast, it was delicious, the service was so cozy, home-like. Here you feel how impprtant it is for the servers to enjoy what they are doing. Absolutely loved it. The price was unexpectedly on budget for what we ate. 2 breakfast meals, dessert, coffee and grilled cheese sandwich plus 20% tip - under 80 bucks. Will definitely come back and strongly advise!

Nothing beats a Sunrise over a Sunset grill! The eggs are amazing since they actually have flavour that is demonstrated through the chefs hard work with their clinging and clanging of pots & pans. Kid-friendliness: Offer free lolipops to kids

Delicious food with great portions at a good price. Have walked by this little gem for years and not noticed it until a friend brought me here for breakfast. Our waitress had a good sense of humour and the food came quickly after ordering. By the way, the kitchen is open concept so you can see the cook working in your meal. Our coffee cups were continuously topped up. It is not a large restaurant, and the tables filled up quickly. Seemed to be an attractive place for police and construction and trades people on a weekday. This was my first visit, but will not be my last!

Great diner-esque breakfast spot! Ducked in here on a hangover day for some brunch. Ordered some Bennnies and an omelet. Everything was expertly put together and punctual. The grill/kitchen is open so you can see them working. Our server was punctual and knowledgeable about their menu items. I got the impression shed tried everything personally and knew all about it. Place looked clean and homey. If were visiting from Vancouver again and on Dundas in this spot looking for brunch, we will return. :) Cheers, guys!

We stumbled across this spot when hunting for an affordable, late morning meal and so thrilled to find exactly what we needed. The interior is very friendly and cozy but no frills, and the portions were generous for the price. Great spot for a reliably hearty and affordable meal!

I ordered the Sunrise Super 9 with scrambled eggs and they messed up my order with non-scrambled eggs so they took it back with no utensils. A minute later I got back my food with scrambled eggs this time, and the server forgot to bring utensils for the second time. The food was good but the server didnt check on me to see how Im enjoying my food. Other than that the service could of been better.

The atmosphere of this place is perfect, like a classy but very simply diner. The high end of a cheap diner vibe. Service was wonderful and attentive and my friend and I split the French Delight breakfast (bacon, sausages, eggs, French toast, and hash browns) and it was just right for two small appetites! Everything was cooked to perfection (crispy bacon!). Would highly recommend this place as a breakfast spot.

Ive gone to this place twice, and enjoyed the food both times. Really friendly staff too. Theres generally a long wait to get in and then to get the food too because of how busy the place is, but its worth the wait.

Came here with a really large group and they were able to accommodate. They also were able to accommodate substitutions on my salmon sandwich. The serving is large and tasted really good! My partner got a side of eggs and side of smoked salmon and again, portion was so large and good quality. I will definitely be back!

Ate there Oct.4/22. First: Food is good, big portions, and reasonably priced, perhaps a little lower than it should be for the size of portions. Second: Service from waitress was attentive but she could only do so much. Getting to that with point 3. Third: Kitchen (2 working in kitchen) not with it. Waited over 45 minutes for my order. Two women seated with a young toddler waited longer for their food. Waitress was getting frustrated with the Kitchen. Takeout orders were coming in after our order and other customers orders and getting filled before orders from walk ins that placed their order before the take outs. Kitchen needs a shake up and I am not sure that it doesnt include management. Cannot give higher than 2 stars although if some people working there had their heads screwed on right wouldnt take much to get to a 4.5. Work on it.

Genuinely surprised this place has good reviews. Maybe we came on a bad day, but regardless - waiting an hour for 2 dishes is not acceptable. I paid for my parking at 1:05 and we walked into a busy restaurant. It was full, but the restaurant doesnt have many tables so we decided to dine in before work. There were also no big groups, mostly tables of 2 or 3. We got sat at the back of the restaurant, which was fine. Server took our drink orders right away then dropped off our drinks and said she will be right back. When she came back, she took our order (within 10 minutes of sitting). So, we didnt expect to wait too long for our food. We overheard the table beside us had placed their orders but were waiting as well. As we were waiting, a gentleman joined the table beside us, and his order was taken a good 20 minutes after we had placed our order. The server said it will most likely come later than the rest of his table, he said it was fine. About another 20 minutes later, all 3 people at that table got their food. After waiting for another 10-15 minutes, I decided to ask about our food, and the server said it would be ready soon (I ordered an omelette and didnt see an omelette on the grill). Finally we decided to ask the server for our food to go. As a server myself, I totally understand things are a bit crazy right now, especially with Ontario lifting the seating limitations for restaurants. Regardless, almost an hour wait for food which consisted of eggs and potatoes, as well as no updates about why the food was taking so long, is not acceptable. I never leave a $0 tip, but I really was disappointed in the experience we had here today. The restaurant should consider spending a bit more money to have a second cook and server on shift. We will not be back.

Terrible service, waited way too long for food. Multiple other tables that came in after us got their food before us and had ordered the same thing. We could not finish our food as we were late for an appointments. Expressed dissatisfaction with the service. They recognized that the time was bad but insisted she put our order in right away and blamed the kitchen. Said she had no control over what the kitchen did. I would like to put no stars.

Service is really good, the portions are pretty big for the price, and is reasonably priced. Just as a warning dont sit by the door in the winter, the draft from the door is pretty bad.
