Eggsmart in Toronto

Ordered on door dash and got what looks like half a sandwich? What I got definitely does not look like the photo, theres a piece of potato in the photo that is almost half the size of half the sandwich, the toothpick is as long as the sandwich halves. Homefries taste like 2 day old dirt as per usual

Had the three bread French Toast today The French Toast was very dry and. a had plain blah taste I had to put a lots and lots of Maple Syrup to moisture the bread . There was no whip cream or butter on the side which usually comes with the order The worst French Toast I have ever tasted.

Decent food. But I am really upset after buying what I thought was a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice for $15 only to discover it was orange juice made from concentrate. I know what both taste like so I know I got scammed.

This place is my go-to breakfast haunt. Unfortunately theyve changed the menu again - still overdone. One complaint- not gonna keep me away, but... COFFEE: you gotta have decent coffee at a breakfast place!

Lovely neighbourhood place - the food was good and well priced and the portion was generous. The store owners were also really friendly and attentive - definitely recommend for good food and a nice family-friendly atmosphere.

Nice quality and clean place

Our first experience today and had amazing food and both owners came over and introduced themselves and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was excellent and will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone else looking for great breakfast options in a great restaurant.

The place is not very good and the food is not cooked well.

Buyer beware: Waited 40 minutes for eggs, bacon and toast plate x2. Prioritized Ubereats over dine in customers. Food came out unbelievably bad: 1. Turkey bacon was half raw, half cooked. (See Photo 3) 2. Everything had bacon grease all over it! The fruit bowls, the plates, it was all gross and greasy. Who wants a greasy fruit bowl and toast? (see Photo 4) 3. Poached eggs were so overcooked they were hard even though we ordered medium/runny. The eggs were sent back and when we got new poached eggs, one of them was not even servable. Completely unbelievable. (See Photo 2) 4. Eggs had hairs in them. (see Photo 1) 5. Home fries were half hard and undercooked and half cooked. The server was a blonde woman who helped us out and apologized but the cooks and manager obviously didnt care whatsoever, sending out terrible items TWICE. Could be unsafe to eat undercooked bacon or food with hairs. I worked in the food industry for 5 years and if I did any of this I would have been written up, sent home or fired. Seems like a systematic problem here of people not caring and a lack of accountability. I would not recommend this spot to go to for breakfast with your family and kids.

Went for breakfast today with my brother. I shouldve read the reviews before we went. There are many better breakfast places out there like Dundas Street Grill. I dont like giving negative reviews.

Typical breakfast restaurant

Food was not great, the seasonal fruit was half a small dried strawberry and a single grape. Everything tasted old and over cooked except the toast. Service wasn t great either we had to grab our own menus.

First time at this location. Order a skillet meat, nothing special, I been to better places. The Menu is same as other breakfast places. Is ok

Went there for breakfast yesterday. Customer service was good. My food not the best especially my French toast I had to give it back..the bread was sour and the potatoes werent ready as they seem to have been boiled before then place on the griddle. On top that whilst paying I saw one of the chefs using the same rag he uses to wipe the stove to clean the frying pans on the stove . that was unhygienic.

google says they close at 3, sign says they close at 230, when i go in they say they close at 2, change your hours! in response to eggsmarts reply below, the sign says they close at 230, the staff say they close at 2, i have only tried this location as google says they close at 3, i love Eggsmart and go to many other locations, this one should change the sign and google listing to say they close at 2 to align with the staff shutting down the store earlier than advertised, this has happened on at least 4 occasions, its my closest eggsmart,so frustrating

They kept messing up with the order. First I asked for orange juice as a drink I was served coffee. My boyfriend asked for a mango smoothie but got a banane one instead Then for the food, the Poached egg was messed up. I had a medium instead of soft and my boyfriend got a brown bread although he asked multigrain. If thay type of bread was not available they should ve said so instead of bringing something else. The assorted fruit I was expecting more than just a half strawberry with 3 blueberries. That s not what I saw in the picture from the menu. Overall the only good thing was how quick the service is. But I would not recommend or comeback !

There is a decent selection of breakfast options here and since I am a fan of warm food for breakfast, I was always able to find what I was looking for here. From omelettes to sandwiches to waffles, you can eat relatively well here. However, the quality could be even better for the price.

Best breakfast place central etobicoke!

The food is good and the atmosphere is much quieter than other breakfast locations in the area. My only gripe is if you ask for something from one of the staff members working, its very unlikely youll receive it. Coffee refill? If you dont snag one of the staff walking by with a carafe in the moment youre out of luck. They are all very friendly and lovely, even stopping to ask if you need anything from time to time. The trouble is anything you say is forgotten near instantly. Ive found the best way to mitigate some of this is to avoid the coffee and to order anything you think you MIGHT need at the beginning of your meal (milk/cream/jam/peanut butter). This way if you are missing something and happen to catch a staff members attention you can wave and theres a chance theyll realize. I hate asking for things 3 or 4 times, it feels like Im forced to choose between not being a bother or enjoying my meal to the fullest. If youre a one cup black and done sort of person you would probably be ok though!

The quality of the food was my main concern. The home fries were half-raw cut up potatoes immersed in some kind of smelly sauce. Those were not home fries. The omelette was ok; a little sloppily prepared. The orange juice was served warm. The coffee was stale and terrible tasting, like industrial coffee from a lunch-hour food truck. They threw in half a strawberry which was half spoiled. Honestly, for $26 incl. tax I expected a better breakfast. Will not be returning. On the bright side the waitress was pleasant and attentive.

The food here is disgusting. I ordered the bacon eggs Benedict and wish I didn t. The bacon was raw, eggs were poached hard when I asked for them to be medium. Everything was freezing cold by the time it came out. I thought the homefries would be their saving grace but was extremely mistaken. The server didn t bother to ask if everything was tasting ok. I wouldn t step foot in here again.

I tried out this place friday around noon and I was really disappointed, french toast came with some potato pieces stuck on it and smelling like bacon, bread burnt on 1 side, sausage were not cooked enough and ofcourse food takes forever to arrive and comes cold. All this and it wasnt even busy at all. These people are just taking advantage of a busy area but I dont think anyone go back to eat there after the 1st try.

This restaurant is supposedly on skip the dishes, but for the last 2 times we have ordered, waited 30-45 minutes, and both times, they just cancelled the order. Why would you wait so long to tell us no were not giving you food. We could have ordered from literally anywhere else and recieved our food BEFORE they had the decency to cancel.

I have to say I was not happy with the breakfast this morning at Eggsmart located at Bloor and Prince Edward Drive, Etobicoke. I am very familiar with Breakfast Restaurants all over the City and other Eggsmart locations which have been good. I asked the server the same way I always ask servers if the homefries can be prepared crispy. The server delivered my dish the opposite of what I asked and then made an attempt to make the potatoes crispy. To my surprise it was delivered with so much grease on my plate I couldnt find the stomach to eat them. I have never had a cook prepare food this way. I posted a pic. I will not be back to this location. I was respectful to the server and left a tip.

The breakfast menu felt limited as compared to a Dennys or standard breakfast place- not as many options for omelets or breakfast combos. They had to take cash only at the time- had to walk to an atm The food tasted good though. Food : 3/5

I will never come here again. There are really good eggsmarts, this is definetely not one of them. The pancakes, waffle, fruit, sausages were awfull, almost everything. In the end, the waitress (her name was Rose) even put a tip of 15 dollars without even asking us if the service was good (when clearly it was not) and when we asked her to took the tip out, she put a 10 dollars tip again. Her argument was that when its more than 4 people they put it, we were only 4, not 5. I will never come here again, and I dont advise anyone to come here. People shouldnt auto entitulate themself has a tip reward waitresses, if the customer think that should give tip, then it will.

Ordered meals ( breakfast)4 different times and the food is underwhelming. Lacking in flavor poor presentation. Not sure that the food is prepared with intentions or love. Food needs massive flavor improvement among others things. When you love what you do it will shine through the results. No love comes out the same process.. change the chef.

Cheapest coffee Ive seen in Toronto and the staff are really nice. Its open early and closes early. If you want food order ahead !! Breakfast is very inexpensive here as well. I wish it was open later than 430 because the only other coffee place in the area is cafe Demetris across the street and its pretty expensive for coffee and drinks. I love walking through the creek behind this street with my coffee and sandwich, no one comes through here so its been perfect through covid.

The staff are really kind and very reasonable. Whether you are grabbing a quick bite or a full meal, it a very good family oriented place with excellent service.

Ordered this morning through Ubereats for this location, they accepted the order and then cancelled it after I was already notified it was being prepared by the app. Never received any reason why it was cancelled and uber eats of course was no help but thats a different issue. If you cant commit to preparing an order you should accept it in the first place. Terrible service or lack thereof in this case.

Highlights: - Super polite servers - Has washrooms - centrally located & parking available for a fee - delicious eggs This was an unplanned stop at Eggsmart and was a decision made in right time at the right place. Craving for some breakfast, this is the place if you like eggs or English breakfast. Servers were polite & keeps a check on you & how youd like the food. The coffee refills keeps coming back gives you a warm coffee through out the eating time. ;) We had egg benedict with salmon (was a best seller here), and french toasts were amazing with well done scrambled eggs. I liked the home fries but could be better (fries were cut large in size & not enough cooked). Recommended. Enjoy!

Okay but waffles are overpriced for what they are. The home fries tasted like spoiled grease which is disappointing because thats my favourite part of having breakfast out. I ate one bite and had to leave the rest.

Somewhere you go when you want a big breakfast but youre too lazy to cook. Tried the classic French toast and the classic waffles, because Im a classic kinda girl Family friendly Really love the staff, very good vibes.

I have always loved going to this restaurant as the food is so good. However, due to the Covid-19, I now order via Doordash as I am part of the vulnerable sector. I was not happy to see that they set it up on Doordash so that you have to select a certain egg type and pay $1.50 extra for the selected dish. I called them, and if you go in and order, that fee is not applicable and you can order regular eggs. This is disappointing as its the vulnerable sector that will order online, pay extra for delivery and that is not the sector to be trying to make a profit on..... In regards to your response, if that is indeed the case, then the Doordash option for egg type needs to be changed from required to optional. An order can not be completed unless an egg type is selected (not eggwhites)

Great food and great service!

No mask used by the food handler...the juice was not freshly squeezed instead poured from the bottle.

We used to come here for breakfast on weekends and then it went downhill. The service and food is extremely inconsistent so you never know if it will be good or really bad. The owner gives jobs to his family and because they cant be fired they do the minimal amount possible. When its other people they are great, but you can see they are over worked because they are picking up the slack. The food it never consistent, wrong orders half the time and they slap it together, busy or not. Its really disappointing because it used to be wonderful!

The food and service were both great. Ordered the steak and eggs with the freshly squeezed orange juice. Owner personally came to our table to check with us. Overall great service, will definitely come back in the future.

Great family dining. Staff are good to children and food is pretty standard fair as far as breakfasts go. Be patient for seating and during peak times as servers and waitresses are doing all they can to help service their guests. Enjoy this location is a yearly one for us.

Horrifically slow service. VERY SLOW service. It s Sunday morning at 1030, restaurant is not even close to full, half of the restaurant has unclean tables strewn with dirty dishes, took 15min for us to even get our coffees after ordering. I don t even know how long our breakfasts will take. NOT how I wanted to spend my birthday breakfast. Do yourself a favour and go to Cora s at Queensway. (I ve been staring at this dirt table since we arrived about 1/2 an hour ago. Behind me are 2 more dirtier tables.)

Need to share my experience! Eggsmart is a great place for breakfast!!! If you are a egg lover, its a must try. They have multiple omelette options, like, veggie omelet, salmon omelet, chicken omelet etc.. and many other options also. All are great. Plus their freshly squeezed orange juice is just amazing. I drank 4 glasses of juice in one go. Lol.
