I wouldnt call myself a foodie, but Ive visited this place several times with the intention of exploring the menu. Each visit has been a delightful experience, with both the food and service consistently exceeding expectations. The Eggs Benedict is a standout, perfectly cooked with a rich hollandaise sauce - yum! I just had the BEST hamburger I ve ever had at Sunshine Village Grill in Bloor West Village. They start with fresh meat, grind it into ground beef and make patties. Absolutely delicious! And the staff are charming.

The worst breakfast I ever had.Eggs not cooked enough. I asked for crispy bacon and got burnt bacon. There was enough butter on my 2 slices of toast to coat 6 slices. Very displeased. Next time will never be a next time. Hire cooks that know how to cook

Great local reliable diner. Food is always fast and delicious. Great after a night out or when you re craving comfort food. I love the egg bennies in particular.

I recently had lunch there and it was pretty great! The pancakes were super fluffy, absolutely delicious. But, gotta be honest, the steak my friend ordered was a bit too rare for my taste. Still, everything else was yummy and made up for it. The service was friendly, and the place had a cozy vibe. Overall, Id totally recommend it for a nice lunch outing with friends or family.

Homey and cozy diner-style breakfast place. The waffles and French toast are standouts really delicious and feel homemade in the best way possible. It was pretty busy when we arrived (on a weekend), but I found the line moves quickly and the server was super friendly. Portions were very generous. I d recommend asking for the real maple syrup, but that s my preference. If you re craving an old fashioned diner style brunch great place to go!

I always order from Sunshine Village Grill at least once every weekend. Its my go to breakfast place. If I was in the neighbourhood, Id eat in. The food is like home. If you understand what is meant by the food wraps you in a hug from home then you know. THIS is good food. The Breakfast Burrito is, for me, the only meal for the entire day! The Big Teen - nom, nom, nom. Magnifico. Delicioso. Ive sampled much of the menu and its all very good. Give em a try. I doubt youll be disappointed. (But just dont all of you order at the same time as me ;D )

Very pleasant place for your Breakfast, Brunch or Snack, with great options on the menu. Although the space is small, it is very comfortable. The dishes are well served, the service is excellent. And the prices are also affordable.

Decent place. Clean, food was good, not thing fancy. Only complaint is that the tables were too tightly packed so could not sit comfortably without pushing into the person sitting right behind me.

Friendly breakfast restaurant in the west Bloor area. My sever was super nice and made sure to check up on me regularly to fill up my coffee.

We went on a Saturday, even though the place was packed we were able to get a table in about 5mins. Everyone working there was with smiles even though it was crazy busy. Food was also delicious. We love this place

Despite how busy it was for Saturday breakfast, the waiters were still kind, and the turnaround time for food was really fast.

Food looked really good on other tables...this meal I ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese...quite disappointing....the salmon was not fresh and the cream cheese was little Philadelphia packages...dont order that dish here. The worst part was being rushed out and forced to leave on 45 minutes after we got there because there was a long line waiting. I get Saturdays are busy, but I go to a place to also relax and enjoy the atmosphere with my coffee, not to be treated like cattle. 45 mins? Are you serious?

Extensive menu with options for everyone as well as classic diner food. Ordered the sunshine bagel sandwich which was better than I expected (good amount of cream cheese and veggies, nicely toasted) and the caramel waffle - both delicious and filling!

Very nice restaurant. The service is very pleasant, we had breakfast and lunch here and everything was delicious. Cook quickly. We went in at 14:45 and were fed even though they were supposed to close at 15:00. I highly recommend visiting. Many thanks to all the staff.

This place is our go to no fuss breakfast spot. Its the place you decide to go to when you wake up lazy. Its the place you go to when you need to order the bottomless cup of coffee and fluffy pancakes. We recently visited Dennys and just wished wed come here instead.

Always come here for a morning brunch. The food is amazing and service is always fast and friendly.

We went here yesterday, having been intrigued by their sidewalk sandwich board listing their specials. We all ordered the specials but when we got our bills, the specials were listed at a higher price than the advertisement outside. We politely pointed this out to the server. I think the server tried advocating on our behalf but the answer we got back was simply we increased our prices . However the increased prices were not reflected on their sandwich board, which is the reason we went there in the first place. Very misleading and also illegal. You cannot advertise a meal as being one price and then charge them a higher price. Food and service was good, but I would not go here. Management or owners have no integrity and clearly simply don t care about honouring their prices or even doing the right thing. Too bad.

I ve been coming here for almost 10 years and never had a bad experience. I ger the same three eggs with bacon and home fries and it never disappoints. Very reasonably priced.

Delicious and perfectly cooked eggs benedict. I had the smoked salmon and avocado version and it had very generous amounts of both.

Every thing was good, food, service, staff, manager, service, and sure ill go back there again.

Basic brunch with nothing to write home about. Service was lack lustre . No syrup with waffles and not hot sauce despite asking. Home fries were not greasy which is a plus and also wasn t doused in salt so another bonus.

This was my first visit, and was my 42nd Birthday! The waitress was amazing, as was the breakfast! Eating outside was just the topper! Highly recommend

I have gone here for breakfast many times. The staff are always friendly and nice, the food is really good (not greasy and seasoned well), and the restaurant is always clean. Its nice to sit outside in the summer as well

Good breakfast place! Serving sizes are huge and the server made sure we always had hot coffee.

My wife and I have tried this place several times, and each time something really disappoints, whether we order a waffle breakfast that comes with half a waffle and then get charged 9 dollars for another waffle that should have already been included in the waffle breakfast, or more recently I had ordered the French Connection through Uber Eats, which consists of french toast as the main part of the meal, said french toast was entirely missing from the order. I wont be coming back unfortunately.

Absolutely delicious food and lovely staff. Only caveat is there were roughly 10 young children dining with us in a full restaurant and half of them were screaming at 9am. Left with a full belly and massive headache.

Our friends took us there for a late breakfast, there was no wait service is unbelievably friendly and the food was extraordinary. You will never leave this restaurant hungry. And the prices are superb.

This is a good breakfast place on Bloor. I had salmon benny and yogurt with fruits. The service was good, and the atmosphere was as expected for diners. I would suggest adding avocado and goat cheese to salmon benny - it makes the taste much richer.

Good food and service, generous portions, reasonable prices. Theyve become one of my weekend breakfast go-tos, although I visit less often now because Ive moved out of the area. The staff is very friendly and always makes sure my coffee cup is full. Wheelchair accessibility: I use a walker, not a wheelchair, and have no problems entering or exiting.

Food is very average ive ordered many times as well..and food was quite mediocre and in some cases bad 2/5. Sauages felt like there were hard pieces in the sausage almost broke my tooth and fruit tasted extremely stale This place is the only breakfast place on bloor west which is shocking and disapointing... I try not to order from here.

Sunshine Village Grill was fantastic! The food was amazing, the servers were brilliant and on top of getting orders taken, keeping coffee filled, bringing food out, and bills paid. The only down side to the entire experience was that the location was very small, which made it feel cramped for walking around. I understand that it is in Toronto though and the servers had no problem navigating a maze of narrow aisle ways.

Wish there was a zero star rating. I was eating my Eggs Benedict to find a sharp half inch-long piece of plastic in my mouth. If ingested this would reault in a serious medical emergency. Then after carefully examining the remainder of my eggs I found a second almost identical piece. We brought this to the attention of our server and their only response was to give us 50 percent off. There was zero concern expressed about the seriousness of the situation. We asked to speak to a manager and were told that only the owner was present and he refused to talk to us. We will be pursuing this with Toronto Public Health to ensure noone else puts their health in danger by eating at this restaurant. Important to note that the mishandling of the sutuation falls entirely on the owner and not the servers who we very empathetic.

UPDATE: Have returned twice and on both subsequent visits the food was still lovely, but cold. Cold bacon, tepid sausages, cold corned beef hash,, cold toast. The potatoes were warm and the eggs were sunny and warm. Next time I ll ask for hot food. ********** Yummy food and friendly staff and open til 4pm!

I ordered the Belgian waffles. Very small portion sizes. There were missing items in my meal (I don t eat pork. Rather than replace my sausages with something else, they didn t give me anything). Not worth the 30 mins commute and $30 bill (I ordered 2 tea bags as well).
