Enjoy delicious breakfast and lunch options in a cozy environment.
I recently visited this charming cafe and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The decor is absolutely stunning, with vibrant pink cherry blossom flowers and neon lights adorning the walls. The space is bright and welcoming, and the high ceilings with a skylight add to the cozy ambiance. The modern, stylish design creates a perfect atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying a meal.
A new favourite breakfast/brunch spot! Amazing food, big portions and affordable prices, so hard to find in Toronto! My girlfriend and I went for a girls date and loved the delicious options, great service and pretty atmosphere. We went on a Tuesday during lunchtime and highly recommend going during less busy hours as it is a popular spot! We will definitely be going back 😍
Great service. Dish presentation was very nice as well. My friend enjoyed her salmon eggs Benedict. I ordered the açai smoothie bowl and was a bit disappointed on how watery it was, once you got past the first thin layer of smoothie it was like soup inside. Tasted very nice though not too sweet and very fresh.
I visited this breakfast spot recently, and overall, it was an okay experience. There was a bit of a wait to be seated, which wasn’t surprising since the place was quite busy. The atmosphere was fine but nothing particularly memorable. As for the food, it was mediocre—neither bad nor impressive. It felt like a typical breakfast you could get anywhere without anything special to set it apart. The staff were friendly, which was nice, but the service was on the slower side, likely due to how busy it was. While it wasn’t a bad experience, it didn’t stand out enough for me to want to return. If you’re in the area and don’t mind waiting, it might be worth trying, but I personally wouldn’t go back.
Great brunch spot within walking distance of High Park! Came on a Saturday ~2pm, found it very busy but fortunately managed to snag a table. Enjoyed the ambience and especially the blueberry pancakes! (Pancake score: 7/10)
Absolutely fantastic! This has quickly become our go-to spot for breakfast and brunch. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is top-notch. Every visit leaves us wanting to come back for more!
This is our new favourite breakfast/brunch place. Likely the best Eggs Benedict I had in a while with tastes and textures balanced to perfection. Golden crunchy hash browns and optional Turkey bacon. Tiramisu waffles to die for! The interior is done with so much elegance and style, however we sat outside in the beautiful back garden patio soaking the last few days of great. Service is thorough and friendly, attentive and open to feedback giving they are new and growing fast in popularity- and for a good reason! Highly recommend it!
What a wonderful and delicious breakfast experience. And although I went at a time that wasn’t as busy I imagine the vibe it has on the weekend and busier brunch times. The owner Irina was really nice and the ambience of the place was the same. I look forward to going back on the weekend and enjoying the back patio. I hope you get a chance to enjoy the food, service and atmosphere as much as I did:) More espresso and less depresso!
I really enjoyed my meal! Ham eggs Benedict. Very flavourful. Reasonable prices. Attentive, friendly staff!
So yummy! Who doesn t want a Brie fig omelette with a giant pile of rosti. So good. I had the mango smoothie bowl which was huge.
The restaurant was excellent great interior, delicious food, and attentive service. However, I noticed that despite the government removing the tax on food starting today, they still charged H.S.T. on the bill. I realized this only after I had paid. Please be cautious about this.
We were a party of 6 and each of us enjoyed our meals tremendously. The French toast and fruit, peameal Benedict, and classic breakfast, Slavic, and shakshuka. Large portions, very tasty. Cute place, bright and cheerful. Service was very helpful. A wonderful addition to BWV.
Great atmosphere, Gordon Ramsey would be proud! Food was priced very good similar to the large chains. Big portions, I was stuffed
Great food, generous portions. Fun vibe.
I found this place busy and I am not sure why. I went there to meet with some girlfriends who I hadn t seen in months to catch up . The service from when we sat down was extremely pushy into making us order more than we need. Also did not let us relax , enjoy our time together or even the meal. As soon as we finished our last few bites before we could even put our fork down they took the plate away, I had to say stop I m not done eating! My friend didn t even get to eat her fruit because they took it away. When it came to the food, it had no taste or presentation .I had to add a lot of ketchup and hot sauce just to get some sort of flavour. The price is expensive for what you get as well. My advice to the workers is understand people are coming in to meet and enjoy the meal with their friends especially since the holidays around the corner, give them space and time to eat!
Loved the decor as you walk in. Warm inviting. Staff make sure you feel at home. Attentive to you. The menu is well organized and explained. Choosing wax difficult as all items spoke to me that I wanted to try. The coffee arrived in super classy mugs Fits the decor. Fresh snd clean. Good good food fresh ordered eggs breakfast regular bacon. Others ordered other items omelette snd they enjoyed. Home fries are original. Fresh not greasy. Light and tasty. Fritters shoe string I think like. Didn t take pics but hope by this review you ll just go. You ll love it Well done to all for this gem in Bloor west Parking: Runnymede, or paid parking
Good food! Good place!
Food was delicious. Just loved their service.
My favourite Peameal Bandits were very delicious. Friendly service. Thank you for a surprise birthday plate for my friend
Food was very standard and sub-par. Had quite a few incidents while we brunched. Tea (first brunch place where I was served Tetleys) and dirty Chai were both lukewarm. I asked for eggs over medium, and they were o/e. Hashbrowns were undercooked. My friends GF bread had mold on it. To top it off, there was a spider crawling on one of the chairs. Service was consistent, but amateur.
such great food! great service! and the vibes were amazing! such a great brunch spot
Cute spot with great service! I really liked their hash browns.
Service
Great service! Thanks for the coffee refill.
I was here to try peameal Benedict and i really liked the food and the way they serve to me there was a guy named Sabin who looked little bit cute he was amazing he was serving with smile in his face all the time his positive aura is what really made my day thanks to him and to the kitchen who gave me great experience coming here will come back again.
Food was really good and quick, cute spot but the service was just okay.
Great food and service! Im gonna come again!
Amazing experience, the atmosphere was clean and bright even on a rainy day, the neon signs and flowers were cute the service was prompt and very attentive.
One of the best brunch restaurant in town. Nice service, nice atmosphere and good food for sure. Must try it!
visiting in ukrainian festival. they also open small stall outside in the patio with amazing dessert. first time was trying their fruits candies its called tanghulu, was amazing! ill be back again for the breakfast! owner was so friendly! service was excellent! food is incredible!
What a beautiful place, delicious food and beverages with such an excellent service. Keep it up!!
Very fast service from friendly staff. A nice breakfast cooked right. Great location to walk over to Old Mill and the Humber Trail
Very good breakfast and kind people. I love it
Love this pastel place on Bloor west Village. Delicious food, gorgeous atmosphere, generous and yummy portions, quick service and beautiful interior design lately, my favourite place for breakfast
Update from my last review! Even more delicious food to show. Service and atmosphere continues to be amazing!
This is our go-to breakfast place in the neighborhood and where we bring all our out of town guests. My personal favourite is the Mango bowl but the gluten free waffles are top notch too! The service is amazing and the back patio a beautiful place to sit in the summer. If you re in Bloor West, you want to go here!
Loved the breakfast here, nice find for us
New favourite breakfast spot in town, Food is delicious and fresh... Never had a better peameal benedict, service is great and friendly, atmosphere is perfect for the mornings. Must try!
Came here to celebrate my birthday breakfast with my family. Service was excellent. Food portion is great.
Absolutely love this place. The decor is fun, the staff are kind, but what really sets it apart is the food - great value, huge portions and delicious food unlike anything else you ll get in Toronto. Excellent!
I hate to leave a poor review, because I know this place just opened and it s a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Food was good. But: I went here for lunch, sat on the patio, and a couple sat inside had their dog leashed up outside on the patio next to me. It was not well behaved. It begged me for food, and even barked at me, and its middle aged owners (again, seated *inside* instead of on the patio to attend to their dog) just giggled like it was cute. I m really done with restaurants that permit people & their badly behaved dogs. Two stars because it really ruined an otherwise lovely meal. Edit: and in reply to the restauranteur s response below: the dog was not on the sidewalk next to the patio. It was *on the patio,* while its owners were seated inside the restaurant. It was not a service animal, nor did it have any of the accessories associated with a service animal (vest, harness, etc.). It was a corgi. I shouldn t have to police other patrons behaviour, nor ask not to be seated next to an unattended animal. A restaurant should allow non-service animals or unattended animals of any kind.
Great spot on bloor west, Good portions and fair pricing. Cute interior for pictures! Food : 5/5
This was our first time here and we loved it. The menu has a lot of variety and whatever we ordered (veggie omlette and ultimate veggie sandwich) was delicious. The service was also great. Our server (Ms. Mila) was awesome! A perfect sunday morning!
The atmosphere in this cute breakfast spot is whimsical and bright! Came for brunch with my family and left with plenty of tasty leftovers from the generous portion sizes. Will be back!!
Vegetarian options: I m vegetarian so I m always looking for brunch places with a full experience for my dietary choices. There s nothing by worse than feeling ripped off the brunch experience! This place goes above and beyond with options for all! I had the Brie, fig and hot honey omlette ($17 plus tax) and it was delicious! Already making plans with friends to return
The menu has so many different options, and all look so tasty on paper. However, the actual taste falls short. My omelette didnt have much flavour at all (perhaps because its made so thin) and the pistachio pesto was just crumbled pistachios. The hash browns really needed salt. The eggs on my partners eggs benny were cooked well, but the hollandaise was very bland. Beautiful space, friendly staff but I dont think Ill be back.
Has a very nice back patio and superb atmosphere. Good food too.
I have been here twice and both times the food has been amazing and the service has been excellent too.
Loved my experience at Wake a Boo breakfast bar. We came on a weekday. The staff is super friendly and cheerful. Would definitely recommend coming here and we will definitely come back for brunch.
The servers are really friendly. Great customer service. Food is great but the ambiance is excellent. Like the decors inside. A must visit restaurant.
Lovely cafe to stop by for coffee and snack, or for breakfast and lunch. We had Blueberry Waffles- they were delicious! Food
Cute little spot for brunch! The owner is lovely. We had the Tiramisu waffle and Fig and Brie omelette - both were great and big portions for the price. Will go again for sure.
We dined in. Fantastic Food. Great service. Servings are Humongous!! We will go back often! Food
Just visited this place for brunch with my friends. The food is average but the decor is quite nice. However, the service is really bad. We waited for a while until someone finally acknowledged us if we were waiting for a table. We waited for over 40-mins for our food and others that came after us got their food before us. I waved down the waitress to let her know, and instead of apologizing she told me the other table had to wait 20-mins for their food. The table she was referring to came after us. Throughout the whole time, all the servers were avoiding eye contact. The couple that was seated next to us got up and left because they were there for so long and no one took their order. I definitely won t be coming back due to the poor service.
I recently visited Wakea Boo Breakfast Restaurant and had a delightful experience. I tried the toast, hash browns, tiramisu pancakes, and ultimate veggie sandwich all were fantastic. The service was top-notch, making the visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!
service is excellent! i ordered salmon benedict, and it was delicious, must come and try the food. prefer to come in a weekdays, less people in the restaurant.
Amazing food!
food is fantastic! service is very friendly. have to try the bacon benny! and you can customize your egg dones Food : 5/5
I recently dined today for breakfast, and I can confidently say it deserved recognition for a unique menu with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Despite the rush, they made sure we were attended to and welcomed. The service and the vibrant atmosphere made it an amazing experience for us. The food was nothing short of fantastic our Tiramisu pancakes and Shakshuka were insanely delicious and prepared diligently. This place really stood out to us on Bloor West Village!
I ve been here twice and the first time it was fine, this second time it was not. My eggs were overcooked, I was given the wrong kind of toast and the pieces were TINY. And the fruit on my plate was either rotten or under ripe. And the coffee is terrible. There are so many great breakfast places. Skip this one
So sweet place. There is some kids food))) Parking: Payd parking Kid-friendliness: Perfect Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect
I recently visited Wake a Boo for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a charming decor that makes you feel right at home. The menu offers a great variety of options, from classic pancakes and omelets to more unique dishes. I tried their signature avocado toast and it was absolutely delicious fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned. The coffee was strong and smooth, just the way I like it. Service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable. Highly recommend Wake a Boo for anyone looking for a satisfying breakfast in a relaxed setting!
We always make it a point to stop by Wake a Boo for the best breakfast in town. Their menu features a fantastic range of options, and every dish weve tried has been delicious. From the fluffy pancakes to the savory omelets, the quality is consistently outstanding. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is always friendly and efficient. Highly recommend Wake a Boo for anyone looking for a great breakfast experience!
food was very good
I love the environment here and the decoration is really cute with pink colour all over the store. My breakfast is good quality. All the servers are nice and friendly. Highly recommend hanging out with friends and having a nice brunch date
Incredible food, beautiful place, and very sweet and nice owner
The place is the cutest!!! Service was fantastic. We needed to find a place to chill and coffee. They have amazing choices for breakfast ! A must place to visit in jane bloor area. We asked for iced coffee with ice cream! And it was yummyyy!!! Irina is top notchh
Good food and service
Really cute atmosphere and style. The food was yummy and I appreciated the gluten free pancake option! I order the veggie omelette and loved all the veggies included. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
I came here because of the rating and decor. Food was not salted. Hash was a little burnt General lack of moisture and flavour. Too many flies by the window, makes the atmosphere Not work.
A great spot, both in terms of quality and quantity of the contents of the plates, as well as the team, smiling and attentive. I highly recommend
Ordered takeout, easy process, food came out quickly and was still fresh when I arrived home. Lovely decor, a few tables outside for dining. Definitely would recommend. Parking: street parking on bloor or on side street
We came across this place when we were passing by Bloor St, and seemed like the cutest brunch spot ever! We were proved right! The ambiance, menu, taste and service - all 10/10 The owner made us feel at home and her passion for food was reflecting the dishes. Everything was delicious. Our top recommendations: 1. Mushroom Benedict 2. Ultimate Veggie Sandwich 3. Blueberry Pancakes 4. Smoothies
Wonderful breakfast. Good prices.
This gorgeous breakfast restaurant is beyond adorable!! The owner, Irina is sweet, friendly, and a pleasure. The food presentation is professional and the personal touches, like a flowered coffee mug really add to the experience. Will definitely be returning to Wake a Boo!!
Perfect experience! Great food, adorable vibe, customer service was incredible! Highly recommend. It s hard to find a spot that has all three. Cant wait to come back!
Great food, service was excellent, portions quite sizeable! Overall great brunch
Hard to find a place near High Park open for real breakfast. Wake a Boo was awesome! Great food, service and location. Bring your friends!!!
What a lovely breakfast spot! The staff is friendly, the decor is super cute and the food, of which you get a whole lot for a very reasonable price, is delicious!
The food, atmosphere, and especially service (special shout out to Mila for giving me a Starbucks sized water) was outstanding. Portions are large, price is decent. My stomach and tastebuds are very happy after breakfast. Look forward to trying more things!!
Cute spot that is still fairly new. Went for breakfast on a weekday. Was easy to get a table. Had the salmon breakfast and the peameal bacon breakfast with smoothies. Everything was delicious and fresh. Would recommend to others.
Yummy food and cute vibes!
Super cute space woth great service and good food Also very reasonably priced! Food
Great food very nice inside and out with great service
Great breakfast!
Excellent service, really great food - and a lot of it - in a cute space! We ll be back next time we re in the city. The hashed potatoes that come with the omelettes are sooo good!
Wake a Boo offers a delightful breakfast experience with a charming atmosphere and a menu packed with fresh, flavorful options. Their signature pancakes are a must-try, and the coffee is always perfectly brewed. Service is friendly and attentive, making it a great spot for a relaxed morning meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking to start their day on a positive note!
Wake a Boo delivers a delightful breakfast experience with its creative menu and cozy vibe. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon are exceptional, and their homemade pastries add a perfect touch to the meal. The staff is attentive and makes sure you have a pleasant visit. It s a fantastic choice for a delicious and enjoyable breakfast.
I had a fantastic experience at Wakeaboo! The breakfast was absolutely delightful, with a variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. The service was top-notch friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to start the day. Highly recommend Wakeaboo for anyone looking for a great breakfast experience!
Great vegan waffles
Amazing breakfast spot - the fig & brie omelette was perfect! The staff is wonderful and the whole experience was very enjoyable. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!
I was going to write a review saying Best Brunch in Bloor West Village... but I think its the BEST in TORONTO. And on previous visits they welcomed my little dog on the patio. Thank you. The food is ahhhhmazing! Presentation, beautiful.
Delicious and great value.
I am visiting from Rochester, NY and looked online for some place to eat breakfast for my birthday which is today (8/20) ! I came across Wake a Boo on IG and knew from looking at the blueberry pancakes that was where I was going!!! Upon arrival the waitress was very friendly and told me that I would get a ticket where I parked. She suggested a place to park. I told her Id be right back. I came back and ordered the blueberry pancakes with eggs and sausage! Food was delicious!!! I told them staff it is my birthday and asked them to take a few pictures. They happily did! And when I was finished with my meal, they blessed me with a sticker of chocolate cake with happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate! That warmed my heart . Thank you for the wonderful experience and I would recommend and when I come back to Toronto I will definitely visit again! Thank you all!!
Did not understand the hype about this place at all, food was mediocre at best, the atmosphere was fine and the service was fine, the server was nice.
Love this place!! From the walls to the floor, everything inside the restaurant is so beautiful and photogenic. The food is so delicious and the staff are super friendly!! Will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends!
Very girly place with delicious food !
This is a really good place for breakfast. You cannot beat the prices for the quality of food. I highly recommend this place. Love the atmosphere, it s bright and inviting.
The best breakfast place in Toronto. They have an amazing private room for special events. They did an amazing job. We were a group of 20 people and we dont know what we liked more, food or service. My peameal benedict was so delicious. Home made hollandese sauce was creamy and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is great, food was delicious and service was fast, kind and attentive.
I come here almost everyday. The place is great and consistent. Service, food, atmosphere, price, are all amazing.
When we got there just after 11am only one staff member was available. She was very pleasant. It was not busy. The atmosphere of the restaurant is soothing. We had classic breakfast. The hashed browns were the highlight. The eggs made right. What else could we ask for. Highly recommend. We will return there.
Brunch here was fantastic, the pancakes were so yummy and the breakfast plate and bacon Benny were also delicious! Would come back here to try more options for sure
Amazing new brunch spot in Bloor West Village My mom and I each ordered the eggs benedicts (peameal bacon and mushroom were our selections) - hollandaise sauce was incredible!! I ordered a cappuccino on the side, and my mom ordered one of their signature juices - both very tasty! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!!! I loved the fresh seasonal fruit on the side - and the fact that it included peaches and others fruits (other than oranges & melon)! Will definitely be returning to Wake a Boo!!
I so happened to stumble upon this place while walking on bloor. The front signage looked so cute but was hidden behind a big tree, so I looked it up on Google and had to go! It did not disappoint. The music and atmosphere set the vibe, and the food was sooo good! Prices are incredibly reasonable as well. If this spot were downtown, the prices would be 2X as much and there would be a line up. It was so delicious and they have an amazing menu! Light dishes, fresh dishes, savoury options (big and small!), and they ll customize whatever you want. Smoothies, fresh juices, and of course coffee. Everything I love about breakfast and brunch! I will absolutely be going back.
Really nice waitresses
Visited Wake a boo this weekend with some friends and had a wonderful experience. The place is really cute with a great patio. The food was delicious and presented well. Not to mention the service was friendly, efficient and quick. Definitely recommend trying out Wake a boo.
Hi, the food around me looked delicious. I just had the sausage and eggs breakfast, which was fine, except for the hash browns. They were truly awful. The shredded potatoes need to have the moisture thoroughly squeezed out of them before theyre fried. Otherwise, they end up just a blob of goo when you cook them...like the ones I got. I look forward to returning with my kids, but please do proper hashbrowns.
lovely
The food and ambiance was great. Very pretty place!
Yummy food, good portion, decent $$.
good
great food and great service !
A friend of mine brought me here for a weekday brunch. We thoroughly enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of this place. The menu had a lot to offer and the food was good. We will definitely be back.
Delicious food and excellent atmosphere
So cute, and delicious food the service was friendly and overall a great experience 10/10 would come again
So yummy and cute! We got the signature dish and were so full! A must visit!
Cute little brunch spot with good food.
Very good! Highly recommended the mango smoothie below. I will 100% come back.
Lovely food and all.
This place is amazing I will be coming here for sure a lot . Irena was so wonderful and friendly such good attitude Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
Such a lovely breakfast spot. The food is delicious and fresh! My friend, who has an egg allergy, swears by their vegan waffles! Everything I have had is so yummy and the owner is such a welcoming host who truly cares about her customers experience. You must check this place out!!
Super cute place with exceptional service. Blueberry pancakes were exceptionally delicious!
Very cute place. Excellent food. Amazing service. Chocolate chips pancakes were light and fluffy. Soooo delicious.
Definitely a recomended brunch place! Staff is friendly, super accomodating and attentive. And food is A++. I had ordered the peameal bacon breakfast and fell in love with peameal bacon all over again. The decor and music played during our meal completed the vibe. 10/10 would come again
YES! Definitely a MUST try! Promise its a no brainer. From the restaurants charming aesthetic to its sweet service and scrumptious brunch, highly recommend! The chocolate chip pancakes & signature hash browns are to die
Kid-friendliness: Great for kids! Reasonable prices and large enough portions to share! Food
This place is great! There are so many options and everything seems to be made with fresh and natural ingredients, which made it that much more tasty. Its so pretty too, the decor as well as the food itself
Second time here and will likely not be back. I thought the food was sub par for the price. Decor is cute.
Terrible coffee - this is a make or break for breakfast! Food was generally good, but with over-salted ham. Neon decor requires getting used to Service was good. We will NOT be returning to Wake a Boo - unless one day the coffee improves!
lots of menu choices, and also they have vegetarian menu for breakfast! Nutella waffle was best! very comfortable place to sit and enjoy the day! server was very active and kind. definitely will come back! very recommended to try!
Lovely little pastel spot- cheerful, friendly and good food to boot! Service was fast & attentive and the portion sizes were generous. Great spot for brunch or lunch! Highly recommend the tiramisu pancakes & the open face smoked salmon sandwich
This place is SO cute! We had such a delicious breakfast, the decor is gorgeous. The blueberry lemon smoothie was to die for - absolutely my new favorite breakfast spot!
Super cute spot, food was delicious and service was very kind and attentive.
This is an excellent breakfast restaurant. Their care goes into the delicious food they make and I will be back several times.
We love this place since day 1!!! One of our favourite breakfast places in Bloor West Village!
I went to have breakfast at this beautiful restaurant, the service is excellent, fast and efficient, and the food is very delicious, the decoration of the place is beautiful, it is a place that you cannot miss, I will 100% recommend it to my friends and family
I spotted this place while my out of town friend and I were looking for a place where to have brunch. The cute blue colour of the outside building got my attention, we didn t find a table outside but the indoor ambiance made it so welcoming with a skylight window and cherry blossoms. Although the service wasn t too warm, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will definitely come back and try again!
Good ambience in the restaurant! Very kind and helpful of server. Absolutely will came back soon! Food : 5/5
Got brunch here with a friend the other day! The atmosphere is amazing with a naturally lit interior. The food was really great too! I got a ham breakfast with 2 pancakes and everything was really delicious I cleaned both my plates! The coffee here is also really great, we tried the macchiato and the dirty chai latte! I would recommend stopping here for brunch to anyone passing through Bloor West Village
Best place on Bloor village for breakfast. The owner is always friendly and smiling, service is great, food is amazing and big portions. Don t miss out!
Nice little spot dinner. Food fantastic. Little hard to hear people once it gets busy. Best to go before 11am if you like it quite.
Great food, friendly service, and a very tasty espresso. I had the Eggs Benny with bacon. The eggs were perfectly soft and the hollandaise wonderfully light and obviously homemade . The bacon was tasty and plentiful. There was a lovely garnish of fresh fruit to finish off a rich meal. Others had pancakes, smoothie bowl and classic breakfast, all of which got a thumbs up. Best of luck in your endeavour!
Bloor wests newest breakfast addition is the best option on the block. Nestled at Durie and Bloor its bright and floral design gives a spring to your step when you walk in. The menu is incredible and as someone with severe allergies I was surprised that they could customize most items. Irina the owner is a gem, kind and caring, she went out of her way to ensure my allergies were really attended to. Over all, the best breakfast option in the area. I plan on becoming a regular.
Incredible food, incredible service, the waitress was very nice with us. A very pleasant place as well. 10/10
What a wonderful place. We felt like we were in Europe. The food was great and the owner Irena is so lovely. We will definitely be back!
Amazing quality and lovely customer service
Servers were lovely but they seemed a little stressed and looked like their sections were disorganized and scattered. Americano was warm, hash-browns were cold, & eggs were sitting in a lot of water. They forgot my toast and when they brought it, it wasn t toasted! (Photo attached) The servers didn t check on me and the only thing that came fast was my bill because I think they wanted to flip the table fast! It was busy so I understand a little mess but it was a bit too messy! I will probably come back in a few months and hope it s better next time when it s less busy and servers have been trained a bit better!
This restaurant has an inviting, cozy charm with a very good variety of options on the menu - it has something for everyone, ranging from your everyday brunch staples such as bacon, eggs, pancakes to smoothies and cappuccino. The service is friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable at approximately $20 a person. I would give it a try!
Amazing experience, the atmosphere was clean and bright even on a rainy day, the neon signs and flowers were cute the service was prompt and very attentive. I asked about the Nutella French toast that was mentioned in another review and they were happy to make it for me as well as told me about another special which Ill definitely try next time.
Got the tiramisu pancakes and they were delicious! Very soft and light and not too overly sweet. Will be back to try other stuff. Coffee is slightly bitter.
Food was overall on the blander side, but aside from that, it was delicious Highly recommend their eggs benedicts Our server looked like she was working the whole front by herself, but was nice and attentive regardless, kudos to her! Food : 4/5
Was there this afternoon Waited over 1/2hr to get my coffee to then see that the mug was dirty (lipstick that wasn t mine). Our food took even longer which I had to ask about it and I was given the excuse that they were busy it s a small but cute restaurant. No line up When we finally got our food it was cold. And to end it they added their own tip!!! Ha they knew their service sucked at least with us. Plus our table was still dirty from god knows from which customer. Never going again.
Great food, attentive service and competitive prices. What more could you ask for in a brightly lit comfortable restaurant?
Very cute new breakfast spot. Our server was somewhat inexperienced and part of our order did not arrive until quite a while after we received the rest of the food. While this can be partially attributed to the server needing a bit more training, it was surprising to us that the kitchen didnt check that the ticket was complete until some time later. They seem a bit disorganized, but this may be because this is a new shop. The food on the other hand was great, with everything tasting fresh and home made, not greasy like chain breakfast restaurants. We had some amazingly fluffy tiramisu pancakes.
Dont miss out on the spot! We live in the area and went for brunch with our newborn twins and a friend and wow, we were so pleasantly surprised. Incredible service and friendly family run family owned restaurant with And takes on breakfast classics, along with all the breakfast classics. this place is perfect for acute celebration brunch a brunch out with a friend or just a delicious brunch on your own. Definitely try the Benedict or the beautiful omelet top with edible flowers. I cant recommend this place enough definitely give it five stars.
This is place is right for you if you care more about your Instagram profile than your taste buds. The food is absolutely mediocre. The house special breakfast, the Shakshouka, was more of a can of crushed tomatoes with poached eggs floating around. Other foods we ordered where tasteless. The only good part was the smoothies to wash off the greasy food. The whole experience was rather an overpriced north american diner with some artificial flowers to make it Instagram friendly.
Food was delicious and aesthetic The service and the place was also great! 100% recommended
The atmosphere and ambience caught me in the first place for this family run brunch place . I visited with 2 of my friends a week back. The staff matched the energy of the ambience, very friendly. We wanted to surprise our friend with a birthday cake which they accommodated happily. We ordered egg Benedict, grilled chicken and avocado toast along with some fresh orange juice( I usually don t order juice often but here it was worth it). Amazing place and amazing vibe, a revisit is a must.
The food was okay, we loved the atmosphere!
Great atmosphere, prices and portion sizes. The quality of food and service leaves a lot to be desired. Im no professional cook but I believe I couldve cooked every item better at home. The poached eggs were sitting in a vat full of water. The toast was slathered in butter, and not even toasted, didnt eat it, gross. Peameal and hash browns were good. French toast is the worst I ever tried, very dry, the center of it was regular unsoaked bread. Didnt finish it. We didnt get a water refill until we had to stop a server and ask. Oh yeah and I also found hair in the eggs.
Went there for the first time this morning to try out their brunch and left the restaurant in 25-30min after their so-called only server yelled at us. Basically we, two individuals including myself arrived there before 9:30am and were sitting there for a while. We kept calling them to order our food but all three servers ignored us. We finally ran out of our prentice when we saw this one server lady started taking orders from larger groups of customers who came much later than us. As we asked her why she wouldn t come take our orders first because we came much earlier, she raised her voice in front of the group of customers saying Well, I am the only one sever here, so there s nothing I can do!! At least you got coffee! We were like, we are done, let s just pay for the coffee and leave, so we asked her for the coffee bill, and then this lady raised her voice again with her visibly agitated face and tone, well the coffee is on me, we don t need anything from you! , so we just left. NEVER seen such a rude server in any restaurant lately. Not sure if the sever lady was the owner or just one of family members helping the business, but here s the thing: if you can t handle your work properly because you are overwhelmed and need help, that s ok; however do NOT take your frustration out on your customers who got nothing to do with your broken operations system. That was so rude, unprofessional and disrespectful.
Was there with a friend for a Sunday brunch and everything was perfect! Staff was very kind and loving, decor was super pretty and the food was amazing! Only thing is that they are not currently booking in advance (maybe in the near future :) ) Vegetarian options: lots of vegetarian options to choose from and all delicious!
I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn t. After waiting around 10 min for a table (completely fair because the place was full) we were seated, given menus, then waited for the next 10-15 min before anyone came to ask if we even wanted drinks, let alone food. We were literally on the verge of leaving because we d never ever been left unattended that long in a restaurant after just being seated. There were also other issues (e.g. the water glass they brought was not clean, we didn t particular enjoy the food aside from the hash browns as the Hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was rather flavourless, the decor and atmosphere felt lacking), but the main issue was the service. We saw several people have to get up and find a waitress to ask for the bill because they were not being attended to properly and we almost had to do the same. It took a very long time for our dishes to be cleared once we were finished. I think this place really needs to work on service. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I won t be going back unfortunately.
This is a fantastic brunch place. The food, service and atmosphere are top notch. Highly recommended.
Walking into a bright, open, welcoming space set the perfect tone for brunch. The diverse menu and delicious food are complimented by stellar service. I could not believe how attentive, welcoming and efficient the staff were. This will be my new regular brunch spot without a doubt. Note: the tiramisu waffle is UNREAL. Not too heavy and not overly sweet. It is a MUST try!!! Vegetarian options: A wonderfully diverse menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Perfectly accessible.
I recently visited this breakfast restaurant and had an amazing experience The food was delicious and served promptly. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure my coffee cup was always full and offering suggestions on menu items. The customer service was top-notch, with the server going above and beyond to accommodate us. They were knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish and helped me make a decision that suited my needs. Overall, I had a great experience at this breakfast restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and exceptional customer service. I will definitely be returning in the future.
A fantastic new breakfast spot in BWV. Menu is quite varied - definitely something for everyone! All our dishes were really tasty and beautifully presented. Excellent service and atmosphere. This will be a new go-to spot.
I really love this beautiful brunch. Food was amazing, service was very attentive. We had great time and we will be back. Mortadella Mozzarella Omelette is my recommendation but another dishes was great too.
Great food! Wonderful atmosphere and generous tasty portions of food. Love this place!
Lovely place, delicious food Food : 5/5
Great food, very nice and clean place with fair prices. Will be back soon.
Beautiful, sweet place, delicious food, great service. Ideal for breakfast and branch. Charming pastel color interior helps you digest. Will be back for sure
Our new favourite breakfast spot in Bloor West. Ive tried an omlette, french toast, and eggs benny and enjoyed them all. Cute decor and friendly staff.
This is the best breakfast in the west end. The atmosphere is so cute and the service is quick and efficient. These eggs benedict are absolutely to die for.
Thrilled to have a delicious new breakfast restaurant in Bloor West! Bright and bustling inside with friendly staff. They were very busy (and newly opened) so expect that service may take a bit longer but you ll have your beverages right away and food order pretty quickly. The menu is creative with some lovely twists on the standard brunch items and food is absolutely delicious! Well-priced too. Can t wait for the liquor license to come in so we can have some mimosas and Caesars. Welcome to Bloor West, looking forward to future visits!
Wish I could give it 6 stars My girlfriends and I had to opportunity to lunch here today. The service was great, the food amazing and prices on point. Welcome addition to Bloor West. I wish them the best of luck. Try it! Definitely will be back over and over. Hot honey, Brie and fig omelette . Thanks Irena
Came here to work and eat! Food choices are good, not too many so its not overwhelming but enough that if you want something, its most likely on the menu! Food came to me fresh, presented well and perfectly warm! Atmosphere is so great - its quiet with nice background music to enjoy! You can definitely take photos here, great aesthetics! Irena, my server, was kind and very helpful! She served me well but gave space as I worked. Im here mid week, morning and I can see this place getting quite busy on weekends! They have freshly squeezed orange juice! Big plus!! Ill be back again and recommend this to others!
I had the pleasure of trying the Stuffed Nutella French Toast here, and it was absolutely amazing. Despite not being on the menu, the staff accommodated my special order, and I cant put into words how delicious it was. Huge thanks to all the staff who made it possible!
Great atmosphere. Superior service. Delicious omelets. French toast special was 3 pieces French toast w mascarpone in between and covered w blueberry coulis and blueberries. Yum!
I fell in love with this place today cant wait to try everything on the menu.
Great food. Great portions. Even better service. 100% recommend!
I was so excited to try this new brunch location after reading all the amazing reviews. So I took three girlfriends there. Its very cute and bright and a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately thats where the good experience ended. We asked numerous times for milk/cream for the coffee and water and didnt get it. Our food took ages to arrive and when it did it was cold which is not good when its eggs and hash browns. And the bills took 4 attempts to get right. Im hoping to try again in a few months when maybe they have their staff trained up.
Cute place, quick service, good food, and freshly squeezed juices.
The service was great! Sorry Id forgot to get her name but she was attentive and willing to accommodate. I ordered a brie cheese and fig omelette and added salmon to it. The salmon didnt come on the side like many other restaurants would but together with the omelette! Love that little touch! The savoury from the salmon and brie, together with the sweetness from the figs was a great combination, me thinks! What struck me was how generous the portion was. The homemade hashbrown was also delightful!
Nice breakfast place ..I have been taking out so no sit in yet but their western omelette sandwiches are really good along side are shredded patatoes which is super delicious
Really wanted to try this place but after ordering hot water with lemon and being charged $3.00? Never again!
We went there this morning for the first time. I fell in love with the aesthetic of the place the moment I walked in. The place is super clean- from the tables, to the cutlery, down to everything I noticed. The presentation of the food is just beautiful, as is the taste. The women working there are very kind, welcoming, and were always checking on us to make sure everything was great. It s hard to choose what to eat when everything on the menu sounds amazing. As a bonus, they have a cute kids menu with silly names for the meals. Our 4 year old LOVED her Nutella waffle. Wake A Boo has become our go to place for breakfast.
Such a beautiful place in the neighborhood! A real gem! If you are looking for variety of menu options, exceptional food quality and great service- this is your place.
This is the best new place in the town Excellent service great food Highly recommended Food : 5/5
An absolute gem of a breakfast spot in Bloor West Village! The avocado benny was amazing! It came with crispy hash browns and a medley of high-end fruits such as dragon fruit, figs, mango and edible flowers. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, who shared fascinating insights into her familys rich history in the bakery business. Its rare to find such a personal touch in todays dining scene, and it made my experience all the more memorable. The food and service were top-notch and the prices were reasonable. The pink velvet bench seating and LED neon signs added to that girly brunch spot vibe. However, the pink plastic flowers on the walls could be swapped out for artwork and lush natural greenery. Overall, this new breakfast and lunch spot is a must-visit for anyone visiting BWV.
Great spot! The presentation of the food was great touch to the already yummy breakfast. Portions are generous and the kids loved the French toast and pancakes (from the regular menu)
Great new breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in Bloor West Village! The food was delicious. The service was great! Nice atmosphere!! Great selection of items on the menu. Vegetarian options: There is a variety of options. The veggie sandwich was great!!
The owner is lovely and so much thought was put into every detail- from menu to restaurant design to food presentation.
Excellent food. A really nice place to enjoy food. Great service from amazing people youll ever meet! Definitely recommend this place!
A great place for breakfast ..welcoming, laid back and lovely decor. If you are a foodie I would highly recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch!
What a charming locale! Relatively recently opened in Bloor West Village Wakea Book provides Toronto with a much need upscale breakfast restaurant (aside from chains and mediocre diners) and we were not disappointed in any of our choices. Overall the space is bright and airy with a nice touch of faux Cherry blossoms lining the walls amidst a well lite overhead skylight. The menu selection if extensive with interesting takes on traditional breakfast dishes (see menu pictures for details). For this meal we chose the Butter Oatmeal Bowl (very good...oatmeal with peanut butter, berries, chia seeds and a lot more...almost overwhelming in the amount...so much so that we took the uneaten portion to go), Tiramisu Pancakes (excellent...thick but fluffy pancakes with a Tiramisu flavored whipped cream topping), Salmon Benedict (very good with 3 (not 2) eggs, a large portion of smoked salmon and excellent hash brown potatoes), and the Sausage Breakfast (very good...a classic scrambled eggs with sausage and potatoes). Service was friendly and considerate with the new owners trying their best to ensure we had a good time. Success. Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!
Very good breakfast, we had a BLT and a kids waffle. Also looks very nice, the lighting and wallflowers were a nice touch.
The servers are very attentive and relaxed, food seemed fresh and uncomplicated, very happy to go again. Vegetarian options: Plenty of egg dishes to choose from. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan (avocado toast + microgreens) options available. Parking: It s Bloor, you ll be lucky to find a spot on the road, you ll want a lot or just walk. Kid-friendliness: There were some adorable kids there which suited the place well.
We had a great meal! The food was delicious and the portions generous. Glad to see a new brunch place in the neighbourhood!
What a lovely surprise this restaurant was. I had the vegetable sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. It was not what I was expecting, but so much better. It arrived looking beautiful with sprouts and a couple of edible flowers on top. It tasted amazing. Ill definitely be back.
I am a big fun of good breakfast and this place is one of the best ! I am so happy I live nearby
Saw this place walking by a few times and FINALLY got to go today! First of all, the aesthetic is STUNNING. I couldnt help but snap a bunch of pictures of my daughter while there.. love the signs and the flowers and the pink tables and chairs! But being Instagram picture worthy is just the cherry on top of this place. The server was sooo sweet to us today and so accommodating of my daughter. She saw previous customers accidentally left the door open when they left and ran over right away to close it so it wouldnt get too cold for my baby. The food was delicious!!! I had the bacon sandwich with egg, tomato and cheese with the hash browns and it was so yummy!! I saw some other meals being brought out to other customers and they looked so good.. Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu! So happy this place opened up!! Highly recommend!! Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and are very kid friendly.. There were 3 other tables there with babies and strollers and everyone was having a great time
