165 Geary Ave, Toronto, ON M6H 2B8, Canada
Craft microbrewery, taproom and restaurant in Toronto offering unique beer styles and tasty eats in an industrial-style taproom with additional patio seating (weather permitting) and a dog-friendly space in our bottle shop on the weekends.
My favourite brewery in Toronto!! Been coming here for years, love there Tap Take Over collaborations every year! They always have events throughout the year. Ample patio space and as well as interior seating! Lots of food options as well. Kid friendly and dog friendly :)!
The atmosphere here is great, and the craft beers are excellent, especially the pineapple one! However, the service was disappointing. We were at a table with a few friends, the bar wasn’t busy, and the server rudely told us to keep our voices down, even though we were just chatting and laughing normally. It was quite embarrassing, and after that, his attitude remained unfriendly. It put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable experience.
I love this place. It’s easy to park my bike and we always find a place to sit. I wish they don’t remove the smash burguer from their menu. Last time, I tried the brisket beef sandwich. It was good, but quite small for the price.
I've been visiting Blood Brothers for the past 3 years every time I fly into Toronto, and have always loved going there. Recently I was served by Max, and he was by far the best server we have had yet. He was incredibly personable and engaging and made this visit the best one yet. The bottle shop staff is also always great to engage with and helps me buy more merch and beer than my suitcase can hold. The only complaint I have is there is no pullover hoody for me to spend even more of my money on.
The absolute best in Toronto. They’re the only brewery in Ontario that serve hard stouts in the summer and they’re crazy delicious! The food options are limited but all tasty.
After over 150 craft breweries in Ontario, I find this to be one of my favorites - both for their incredible brews, and the ambiance. My recent visit was the first time I’ve seen the new space - what a phenomenal job on the renovations!!! The wait staff made our visit that much more enjoyable - Please keep it up….,
Great selection of beers brewed on site. The serving staff are excellent in their suggestions and pairing choices. Kitchen is live and open, transparently providing great tasting bites. Atmosphere is trendy and unique, this place is great for a casual night out with friends or a large birthday.
A great local brewery in the stillness of Geary Ave! Although known for their sours, I prefer their stouts instead. Service is fairly quick on weekdays, gets busier on the weekends. There is quite a lot of seating available to my surprise, even more during the summer when the patio opens up. You feel like your sitting right in the middle of all the brewery action sometimes! They offer a small but delicious menu to snack on. We tried the beef and chicken tacos - delicious. The wrap is divine and don't feel like it was going to break apart on ya! We also tried the fries supreme, it's like a healthier and tastier version of Taco Bell's but with crispy fries and quality toppings - would get again if I was craving fancy fries. But the winner is literally...the French fries. They remind me so much to McDonald's, but consistently crunchy. I could eat bowls for days.
Amazing brewery and people are incredible hosts
Has been a regular haunt for my friends and I for a little over a year; the selection is always great and the atmosphere is one of the best for young (and almost not so young) adults in Toronto.
This is an amazing brewery. We have been here many times in the past, and the last time was not so great because we had a lacklustre service, however, today we had Lucas and he was absolutely amazing! I ve always admired the delicious beers from blood Brothers. I have often Bought them from the LCBO, and have also purchased them when other restaurants in the city have featured them. They are amazing! Big kudos to Lucas, who provided us with such great service and we definitely enjoy the fantastic craft beers they have to offer. Definitely one of the best places in the city! I highly recommend.
I will forever love blood brothers. Thanks for so many years of neighborhood goodness
Whichever marketing genius wrote Ginger beer on the front but hid sour on the blurb on the back for the Ginu ale should be busted down to intern. What a 12$ disappointment. Do better.
Another great visit solid beers
You gotta love this place if you like beer, including a really great barrel program. The food is simple but super delicious. Their outdoor seating is not fancy but the neighbourhood is a great place to just be. It almost feels like you are not in a big city with a mix of some industrial(not music) and charming residential homes and a great park across the street to picnic or play a game of Parcheesi(Ive never played myself but it looks like you could play it in the park there).. Even a train goes by which just adds more to the charm of this place. Its evolved a lot since they opened their doors, but they have stayed consistent with their branding and vibe. I only mis their smash burgers they used to have back during the pandemic...best one Ive ever eaten, and Ive had every single one of them in southern Ontario. Its easy to bike to, with lots of city bike parking there,
Hands down the best beer west of the DVP (sorry Bellwoods). Excellent Vibe inside for dinner. Not too loud, not too quiet. Guys working there are above and beyond. Thanks Max and Justin. Even gave us a special surprise at the end of the night. I had heard good things but didnt expect that. Worth the drive from Durham Region.
Just saw Northern Crown wrestling here and it was such a great venue. Beer was great and the atmosphere was perfect
Love it here. Great local spot with trusty menu items. Fries are perfect. Sours are my go to. Atmosphere is casual and I love sitting outside!
Blood Brothers is one of the best breweries you ll ever visit. There s a drink to suit everyone s taste and service is fast and friendly.
Would love to give 5 stars, amazing place with great beers, but sadly can not. Went to the bottle shop to get some to go beers after having a pint, was treated a bit like an idiot by the man behind the counter with comments like if you had read the list you would see its only sold in 4 packs, only to get 2 instead of four beers? Considering the brewery is a hike from where I am, not sure if I would go back due to the poor service and feeling like I was ripped off.
Good food and drinks. We had the pulled pork, brisket and sausage.
Great food, great service, great friends and great experience. Thank you Max for making the experience better.
The selection and quality of beers here never disappoints!!
Their beer is amazing, the staff is great. Food was unfortunately very subpar. I felt like the evening staff was extremely overworked? There was one guy taking care of everything, and the place was not empty. Sound was too loud, so I recommend sitting away from the speakers.
Big place. Good atmosphere and beer options. Service and staff it s ok.
Been a fan of the beer for a long time, but this was probably the worst brunch Ive ever had in Toronto? At least in a long time... Havent eaten here for dinner but not in any rush now. Maybe they are finding out the hard way that not any cook can cook brunch. Brunch cooks are a special breed and they need to find one. Also the drip coffee they are using is disgusting, hope they read this and change it. Overall, it was like your suburbian aunt tried to make you a benny at home...
I was here with three of my friends and our two dogs on a Saturday evening. The food itself was pretty good, though was served a bit cold. If you re looking to fill your stomach, this place isn t it because the portions are quite small, which may be okay if you re snacking but certainly not if you re looking to dine. What was most disappointing was the service. The waiter was no where near friendly and was quite rude. My friends and I felt hesitated to ask for service because we felt like a hassle to them. Probably won t be visiting again.
I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries, at the counter (bar service), grabbed a seat and was charged $33 because the minimum suggested tip was 18%? We were told to find a seat and grab our number but then nobody told us we had to grab our own drinks from the bar? Im sorry but Im ordering my own food, grabbing the drink at the counter, what service am I tipping 18% for?
The beers great. You dont need me to talk about the beer. Everyone knows about the beer. If they dont, I question why theyd want to drink here. The food on the other hand... I get why places do pop-ups. And I guess it gets me more points in the app to keep updating. But every new kitchen has been worse than the one that did the bone marrow and pork hock. Theyre not BAD mind you, they just cant compare. Wheelchair accessibility: Not readily wheelchair accessible but can work.
The beer is good, but I have not experienced such bad service in years. We were completely ignored. Planned to get another round and gave up a left instead.
Good beers, especially the Guava Sour Ale
Everytime I come here from winnipeg it s glorious and the staff is incredible the beers are top notch, 10/10 would recommend
Beat stout ever! I love it.
Good drinks but horrible service. Said we wanted to order food after we got our drinks but we never saw the server again.
Edit to below: We went back yesterday and the experience was the same. As many have pointed out below - the service here is terrible. This time, I received the terminal to pay with my visa and NO bill that was printed for me - I should have spoken up but I just wanted to get out of there. It still sucks to want to go there and then be reminded that being there is frustrating. UGH! At least the beer is good but truly nothing else is. Overall, I love the beer and food on offer here. Tried the Good Brother lager last night and love it - great collaboration with a neighbourhood place. SERVICE is deteriorating here. No one specific person is to blame for this but - apathy is the general vibe from the servers here. Is it actually asking too much to have water brought without asking for it? Should I wait 20 minutes to place my order? It just - it gets tiring. We just moved to the area and are going to take a small pause on Blood Brothers at this time.
Love the beer, love this place. The manager, Karen, is fantastic! Yes it can get quite busy, it s very popular and a large space with a bar, restaurant, patios, bottle service, merchandise and an event space. Not sure what some of these reviewers are expecting going to a place that has all that.
Paid $120 for this This allegedly feeds 4+
Bushra was our server - she was incredible. Very attentive to our needs . She checked in often and created a safe and opportunistic environment for us. Thank you again!
had such a fun day! the staff are amazing here. this is a must-visit when you re in Toronto. had a few delicious sours and some snacks, the drinks and food came so quickly. bushra took care of us all day! can t wait to come back. love the junction! x
Our favourite brewery in the city. Excellent beer, great vibe and music, tasty food and amazing service. The staff here is incredible and always gracious and courteous even when theyre slammed. Bushra is always attentive and lovely and cant say enough great things about the whole staff. They really are a fantastic team. Shout outs to Christina, Max, Karen, Luke and Khalik.
Dope spot, chill vibe, super knowledgeable and friendly staff to help with a great menu selection. Shout out to Nova for an amazing recommendation on the sour beer front and for prompt service! Highly recommend and will definitely be revisiting soon! Cheers!!!
Fantastic experience, our server was great, funny and attentive. The beers were all too notch and the food was tasty. I especially enjoyed the coleslaw.
Still the best micro brewery in Toronto. Coolest tap room as well.
Love this place ! Been here many times and most often Nova is our server. Fun , informed and helpful. He s kind to our kids and helps us ( the adults )try new and exciting things. A great Toronto institution!
My friend Angelina and I had a lovely time here! Bushra gave us the best recommendations for our taste in drinks!
BOMBACLATT service. never coming again. loved the place though. cheers
Amazing beer, super cool venue!
A wide assortment of brews to satisfy all palettes. blood Light is my favourite light beer in town, but I ve also enjoyed a number of their stouts and ales. The rotating Autopop s are always a joy.
I really enjoy going to Blood brothers, it s an amazing addition to our hood.Food is good and the drinks great, however the staff need to up their game. Always miserable..
Man oh man - where would we be without blood brothers?! This place has become a serious reprieve from the heaviness of life for my partner and I. The beer, the food! (although we keep coming back hoping the Bibb salad will be on the menu but I think we ll be chasing that high forever), and the service is all top notch. Everyone is so kind, friendly, and professional. It s been a hot summer and there is zero air conditioning in there (albeit lots of airflow) and still, even when it s jam packed, these people are attentive and lovely. Much love to BB! Thank you for everything!
The tastiest food and drinks - if you visit on a hot day the raspberry daiquiri is PERFECT. Squash plate hit the spot, good salad options and if you re a meat lover you re in luck, excellent sandwiches. Best of all? Attentive, friendly and chill staff. Even run off their feet busy the wait staff and bartenders are consistently rad. Special thanks to Karen for a fantastic experience today!
One of my fave bars in Toronto, Ive always loved the beers and the vibes of this place! I recently learned that they have a backroom open where larger parties could be hosted. I booked for a group of 20 for my birthday and it was a great experience. Staff was super speedy and kind, drinks were good ( I always order one of the paradise lost sours) & there were even some games to play like shuffleboard and darts in the back area. Defiantly will be recommending for parties in future!
The Blood Light is iconic.
I gave 2 stars because of it wasnt for the lack of acknowledgement from the 3 staff that were existing, we wouldnt have ended up at the sick wine spot down the street.
So came for the beers, which are very good, and left amazed by the food and gift shop. Brunch, bbq whatever you fancy they got it. So many stouts even in the summer! Love it
We were visiting Toronto on our year long tour of North America. Based downtown we looked for a brewery that sold patches as well as good beers and saw Blood Brothers. We walked the 7.5km, where the site is split between the merch and bottle room on one side with the tap room/food service area on the other. The branding was pretty cool, and a really good number of beers I was pretty excited. Sadly they didnt offer flights, so I was unable to try the many beers they offered which was a real shame and something only one other brewery on our tour had failed to offer. The range of beers looked excellent with some light, plenty of IPAs, a cider, a couple of darks and my least favourite a few sours. I went for a couple of killer IPAs, Cactus Head and Everything Goes Away. We paid and went into the merch area and purchased a great patch (they had about 6 and loads of other great items to buy, which I really liked) which will go on my brewery tour shirt next time I get an iron. They did have a sign up which said 30% off glow in dark Ts and I got really excited - glow in the dark brewery shirts with cool branding. I tried one on, it fitted well, but when I went to pay, the salesperson said the 30% off was only for short-sleeved not the long-sleeved Ts which was not in the slightest clear on the sign, moreover, the sign was between the columns of both long and short-sleeved tops. This was very misleading and very disappointing. I bought it at full price nonetheless as it was nice, but maybe should have kicked up more of a fuss. Bring in a flight option for beers and it would probably be 5 stars, unless the dodgy sales sign was still there.
It s a super friendly place, the beers are good and the burgers too with a microbrewery atmosphere
Vibe and ambiance: fantastic Beers: also very good Food menu: offensive. $20 + tax + tip for SIX wings, I kid you not. Also, one of the worst poutines I ve ever had Consensus: go for the beer and the vibe, but for god sales don t even look at the food menu.
The beers here are fantastic, a Blood Light in the summer? Always. Food is good too
Blood Brothers is in my top 3 for Ontario breweries. Their hoppy offerings are top notch, and I especially love their barrel aged stouts. Speaking as a homebrewer, I hope to one day be able to make stouts as good as they do. Cant say enough about this place. Just wish they had a Kitchener location haha
Thanks for @mapleexteriors for introducing me to this amazing brewery, the vibe is really freaking cool and the beer is delicious. We had chicken wings and brisket was on point.
Great beer, great vibes, great people.
Fantastic mid-town craft brewery.
Visiting from out of town but no stranger to fine craft brew. This place did not disappoint. Highly suggest if you enjoy intellectual brews that give you something to ponder. I enjoyed both their Spiced Dark Cherry as well as an Imperial Rum Cask Aged Chocolate Stout. Options for all pallets.
Fave brewery in my hood! Lots of interesting sours (if you re down with those) and classic tasty brews. Blood Light is sacreli-cious! I ll be biking by for many a beer this summer! Shout out to Dan at the bottle shop for being super cool and friendly!
Beer is good but I have been here multiple times and the guy with the rose neck tattoo finds it really tough to smile or try do his job with a good attitude. Such a shame a cool spot is brought down by this dude
This place turns out some of the best beers in the city, from well balanced IPAs and pales, to experimental sours, to creamy stouts. Plus the brewery has a great vibe for having a nice beer on a beautiful afternoon and the food is great too! This is at the top of my list of suggestions for beer lovers visiting Toronto or just discovering it.
We ve been buying their beer online and finally made it into the tap room itself last night while we were in the city for some dinner (and beer of course). For beer, Blood Brothers takes a lot of risks and while they have some standards that are always available, every time you go in they will have some new options to try. Because they take risks, you re almost certainly going to find beers you love and a few you really don t. If you re like me, trying all the different styles is part of the fun and I d say they hit more often than miss for sure! Onsite there were a lot more options in the bottle shop - the restaurant side was more limited to what was on tap. I didn t see an option to just buy a can from the bottle shop to enjoy at my table but I didn t think to ask either. Food wise I was pleasantly surprised. I will day their menu is limited - they stick to a short list but they do seem to do them all well. I had looked online before we went and the website mentioned a roll out of a southern comfort menu which seemed really meat heavy. I m a vegetarian so I was thinking I might get stuck eating a salad. However the menu on location was different than online and I ended up having a really tasty squash plate with enoki mushrooms and the pickled appetizer which was mostly olives with some pickled veg (also tasty). My husband ordered a pork sandwich that he enjoyed and some poutine, which I did try. We both enjoyed that but their sauce did taste like it had some tomato mixed in which has us split a bit. The sandwich came with fries too so it was a lot of food but we skipped lunch so are eyes were a bit bigger than our stomachs. Overall, we enjoyed the space, the food, and the beer. I would recommend checking it out to any beer lovers in you re nearby. Parking was a bit challenging but it was Sat night in Toronto so .
Good beer BEST FRIES
Shumei, my favourite IPA! Nice park across street. And the Patio with Pablo as our server made it a great experience.
Such a great place! Smelt a bit like sulphur. Would still come back!
Great vibe. Awesome staff. Love their sour beers. My friends and I come here to play darts.
Great beers, great space, great staff, but a disturbing amount of Febreze in the air. It s poison.
Best brewery in Toronto! Love the beers and the branding!
It is one of the best breweries in Toronto, no doubt! The interior design is attractive, and the servers suggestions were excellent. Theres not much choice on the food menu, though, small portions but good-quality bites. Overall, its a cool place to hang out.
The server was really cold and rude. Service took forever. Food wasnt the greatest.
Max was a dear and the beer is divine. Drink shumei at your own risk. Love these dudes
Loved visiting today to see my neighbours drinking beer in their coats, at the picnic tables on the patio. Not a fancy patio, but more like a driveway.
Great spot if youre in the area, tacos are solid, but the Pork Hock is the go to. The beer is fantastic and the free darts are always fun.
Bar none, one of the best independent breweries in Toronto. Interesting, tasty, and thoughtfully crafted beer . Nice folks run the place and give the impression that they like working there.
Great Beer with unique flavors. The sours are particularly strong, but there s no way to do flights to try multiple.
Beast tacos were delicious! Atmosphere and music was good. Beers and drinks are great too. Kid-friendliness: Roller stroller right up to the table.
Good beer. Prices are high. 8.50 plus tax for a glass of pilsner. I wouldve expected a pint for that cost. I was also surprised that the virtual ordering system asks for a tip, considering the food was simply dropped off at the table without cutlery, napkins, or any follow up to see if the meal was to our liking.
Terrible staff that doesnt care at all about their clients. Rude and argumentative. I was once a big fan, but they have lost my support.
Awesome. One of the top three breweries Ive ever been to. We stop often just to see whats new. Pricey. Both the beer and the food but both are excellent.
For those of you visiting the Toronto area like I was or living in the area, allow me to narrow down your search for the BEST beer pub to spend your time. I do believe that Blood Brothers Brewing is THAT pub! I was most impressed with the attitude and attention of Max, their Beer Manager. Max greeted me at the door, served my table and spent time talking with me. While I typically sit at the bar, and they have a beautiful one, my wife prefers a high top which is where we sat. Max displays the attitude of an owner as he takes great pride in the atmosphere of the space, the quality of ALL of the beers that I had, and lastly the very delicious atypical tacos that we selected. To the owners, you are lucky to have Max on your staff and congratulations on what you have accomplished. Before I left, I purchased about 24 beers, just next-door, to take back to Collegeville and share with friends. My son will be visiting Toronto next month and he is definitely going to visit. I should also add that there is ample parking on the street to make this even more of a desirable location. My next trip back, I will definitely swing by again, and thank you again to Blood Brothers Brewing for making this quite the destination for myself and my wife. Tom McDonnell, :-)
Absolutely amazing atmosphere and delicious beer. You gotta try those IPAs! :)
My fave beer in Toronto! Little extra $ but its worth it every time.
Not so fascinating place. Once you can visit.
Great spot for relaxed beers - looooots to choose from!!
This is a very cool little place. I liked that its a brewery but also has really great cocktail options. I didnt get a cocktail this time but got this italian pop that I havent never heard of and it was really good. They had tacos when I was there and they were amazing, I have heard they change their menu so Im not sure what its like at other times. The menu is small but has interesting items. I liked the vibe and seating as well.
When I arrived at the place the door was closed and there seemed to be no activity from the outside, I went in because a boy came out but a couple behind me did not look very convinced and preferred to turn around and look for another place. Upon entering the place I did not feel well received, I know that being a bartender can be tiring or tedious but a smile doesnt hurt. I still ordered a beer since they didnt have Beer Flights (I swear I saw a photo where they sold them but the menu didnt say anything and the Bartender confirmed it), I chose an IPA called Shumei and I thought it was a very good beer. I was able to order my second pint but I decided to leave, perhaps the experience will be different if I am accompanied.
The passion fruit sour was delish !!
Great space with a large selection of top notch craft brews and friendly service. The tacos and tostados by Beast were amazing. Solid non-alcoholic beer selection too!
Good taproom and restaurant where you can have a delicious beer
Love it. Just went for the first time after hearing people in my hood raving about it. Reminds me a lot of these little brew pubs that dot the landscape all over Brooklyn (minus the gigantic line to get in). All kinds of interesting brews. Great food. New fave spot.
Nice beer, food is terrible
Definitely will come back, carne supreme tacos were so fresh and delicious
Good beer, interesting atmosphere, helpful staff. Large selection of unique and interesting craft styles. Fun crowd. Patio looks great if you visit in summer. Located in not the best part of town, however it is Toronto - there arent many nice parts.
Amazing spot. Ive been a lover of BB for a few years and this was my first opportunity to visit the brewery in Toronto. Warm, accommodating staff, cozy trendy atmosphere, and of course - top notch beers!
Blood Brothers is a cool space with good vibes serving an interesting selection of beers and small plates. There is also a separate area for those who want to bring their dogs.
Some of the tastiest and delicious beers Ive ever had. Their flavors change over time so your favorites might not stick around forever. Brussel sprouts were great but the burgers were not up to par. Havent tried the rest of the food on their menu. Service kind of hit or miss depending on whos working.
Places like these, especially north of Bloor, are sort of rare but so so so necessary. Just a cool neighbourhood spot with genuinely good drinks and food. Went on a Friday night and waited ~25 minutes for our drinks. Admittedly, I was annoyed at the wait but when I took that first sip my god. Best beer I ve had in ages! Food + music were also good Parking: Street parking
Cleanest bathrooms of all of Torontos brewers
I casually walked by this place and decided to try it. They have small bites to go with your beer. They have a wide selection of beers and ciders, but I found the food to be their staple. Get the brisket!! Updated many months later: no Momofoku and a different menu. Get the devilled eggs. Updated 2023 - theyve opened an expanded dining area with much more seating and possibly other brands.
Great place to kick off your night or spend the day in the park - a must on your Toronto brewery list. Good people working there. Unpretentious and welcoming. Top notch beers and something for everyone.
Id give it zero if possible Terrible customer service, the brewery says they open at 11 we showed up shortly after that. I guess thats just the bottle shop the tap room opens at noon . A woman was sweeping, we asked politely if shed pour us a pint early( we drove 4 hours to Toronto) she said she was too busy. It takes a minute to pour 3 beer. We left immediately. TERRIBLE never going back.
The selection of beer is great. The food is delicious but overpriced for the portions you get. However what keeps this place at 5 stars instead of 4 is the fact that its dog-friendly.
Tried two of thier Spring Breakers series beer this time. Umbrella Toss, Smoothie Sour with guava, coconut cream & pineapple(4% ABV, 8oz $8.50) & Tahitian Teehee, IIPA with passion fruit, peach, wait-iti & el dorado hop. Both were excellent. Especially I have never had beer actually looks like smoothie and tastes like smoothie. Amazing atmosphere to chill. Lots of cool beer options. Now since the chef from The Beast ( Scott Vivian) restaurant took over, I am sure food will be awesome as well. Cheers!
Great selection of beers, especially the sours and stouts.
Parking: Plenty of bike parking!
worst beef tacos I ever had in my life and expensive for what you get. The food is definitely not good.
So disappointed with our recent experience at Blood Brothers. We were regular customers and our recent experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We were a group of 5 and got seated at a bench inside. The servers didn t come around often enough, and when she finally did, it felt like we were bothering her. At some point, another server came to ask us to move to another table because they had a bigger group coming and wanted to seat them at our table. He then rudely told us that we ve been there for so long (even though we kept ordering). We didn t feel welcome anymore, and the whole experience was so off-putting. The vibe of this place has definitely changed and feels money-driven now: poor customer service and no more options for lower ounce beers. Such a shame.
Honestly for the price there s just better to eat locally and also overpriced food portions is not up to par really wish there was better option s hopefully they revamp there menu and food sizes.. drinks were good.
A decent pub all in all, their craft ale was quite good but that was kinda it. They specialize in some tacos which is nice but not enough to really distinguish them from the other nearby locations. All in all, its okay. Nothing exceptional except for craft ale which that, was indeed quite refreshing. But beyond that, its hard to rate them higher. The service was, as well, not exceptional in any sense.
Meh - The food was very disappointing - and the fact that it was as expensive as it was for the tiny portions you receive I dont believe I will ever return. The beer was pretty good - But also not as great as I was lead to believe.
Nice guy at the bottle shop. I just dont understand why they wont sell some of their cans individually. they will only sell some I 4 packs. It dissuaded me from trying some of their beers. Reminds me of the old Rogers cable channel packages... Just to be clear, Blood Brothers does not have pre-packaged 4-packs. They have single cans in the fridge that they refuse to sell individually. The guy at the counter has to reach into the fridge and pull out 4 separate cans of the same beer, then put a plastic holder on them to make it a 4-pack. It makes no sense the refuse customers the opportunity to buy an individual can of a beer they want to try.
Love, love, LOVE this brewery! Unassuming from the exterior, but a total vibe on the patio and inside. The menu isn t overwhelming, but the beers and bites are delicious. I will definitely be back!
Selection of beer is generally tasty. I rarely write bad reviews, however I have to mention that the service here was not welcoming one bit. One server in particular was extremely passive aggressive. Felt like he was taking out all his frustration on our group. There is no reason to be rude to people who are different than you.
Really wanted to love this spot but I simply can t look past the service. One male staff member was particularly rude. Treated our group like we shouldn t have been there after being nothing but polite. I see lots of other reviews here saying the same thing. Looks like sadly not much has changed
Big bright space, friendly service. Food is overall good, tacos are simple and small. Beer is great! Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian/vegan options in regards to food Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed.
Not great. Potpourri candle taste. Aggressive service, sticky tables.
Best Brewery in Toronto
Great brewery and great beers! We were seated by a very nice gentleman named Luke who took great care of us. Would definitely come back for beers
this will forever be my favourite brewery
Great, creative selection of beers in a laid-back environment. The space is both beautiful and homey, and the bartenders were all helpful and kind. We tried all of their sours (as well as a few IPAs and Stouts) and everything was unique and delicious. Plus, darts! A perfect place to spend an afternoon.
Pre-birthday celebration with my bf. We ordered tacos (soft) 3 for $20 and some other dishes (finger foods). I ordered a cocktail it was called Ol fashion which has bourbon in it and forgot the rest of the mix. My feedback was about the cocktail, too much bourbon in it and I could just literally taste the bourbon. Even if I let the ice melted for a bit but still, anyway, the waitress was informed about it and she explained calmly however, I was shocked when she said that s how we make it and if you don t like the taste then this place is not for you well maybe she meant well? Bless her. But it somehow made us feel that we just need to get off and go find another place. They have 18% gratuity. Their food tasted alright, nothing too special to come back to. We ordered tacos and the sauces are in it already so there were no other taco sauces on our table. In the end, they canceled my cocktail order from our bill. Thank you. Will I come back? I don t think so.
Had a great time here, beers were fantastic but the service was even better. Thanks Nova!
The IPAs are amazing! Highly recommend the Outta Sight.
I went to blood brothers today and Luke gave me exceptional service! I ll definitely be back. Thanks luke!!
very nice ppl
Awesome spot, delicious and unique beers, and the service is top notch. Special shout-out to Nova, incredible vibes and spot-on recommendations! We ll come back again soon!
Love this neighborhood spot. Great beers. Dog friendly. Really missing the old food menu, especially the burger. Food : 2/5
A phenomenal place to drink away one s youth at. There is a drink to satiate every taste and every kind of thirst, there is tasty food to please the hungry and placate the hangry, there is enough seating to seat an entire country, all in an ambiance that s sure to leave happy the most grumpy. What s more? The staff are truly lovely. We had the pleasure of being looked after by Nova, who s not only cool and super fun to talk to, but also well in the know, and a great guide to walk you through the comprehensive menu :)
First timer visiting from out-of-town, and I had a great experience! My server and bartender, Nova, was knowledgeable, friendly, and considerate. I had their session Pale Ale which was light and full of flavor - refreshing in this hot weather! The atmosphere was open, inviting, and relaxed! Loved the decor and some of the nooks they had for seating. Ill definitely be back! Thanks, Nova!
Great place for a Friday night! Petfriendly Good IPA, unfiltered and sour selection of beers And the environment was very enjoyable. They have a patio with some umbrellas, and it is located right in fromt of a small park which keeps a very fresh kind of vibe They brought water for our dog and took our order very fast. We only ordered a snack (Fries Supreme), it was delicious! There is a shop in case you want to take beers home, and they have baby stations in the washrooms+ Beware they dont have flights, they only serve 16oz beers. It was a down point since we wanted to try more beers, but the Double IPA was our fav out of the three IPA they have in the menu. Well be definitely coming back, hopefully theyll start having flights next time. Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian dishes, and some dishes that come with meat they can remove the meat of it. They also have some tofu dish that sounded really good. Kid-friendliness: They have baby stations in the washrooms.
Beer was great, but that was about it. Food is over priced for what you get. I ordered the fries supreme and added the ground beef for $3. I couldn t believe the spoon size portion of beef that was added. Bang for your buck .there are better places in the city. Disappointed by the experience. I don t think I will be going back. Response below is very disappointing! I think you missed the point entirely. Im not sure what paying livable wages to staff to ensure better quality of life has anything to do with providing value to your customers? Again, disappointed in the response, but telling......
Excellent beer selection and great vibes here!
The cocktails were really disappointing, super sweet. I understand this is a brewery, but for my fellow patrons who do not drink beer. The food also missed the mark, maybe we ordered the wrong thing.. the loaded fries were probably the best out of everything... the crispy pigs ears were nothing like pork crackling & it didnt have tajin... actually pretty awful..
A great pub to hang out with friends and play catan. We usually come here for shumei, but beer selection here is pretty good. I also like the hardcore interior.
STOUT!
Comfortable, unpretentious brewpub. Diverse selection on tap. Only complaint is that they dont offer flights. It would have been nice to sample a few of their brews. Didnt have any food, so no rating there. Service : 5/5
Good food and affordable prices and good drink selection.
Great beer selection, cool neighborhood vibe!
Great local spot. Unique and delicious beers and good food too.
Staple toronto brewery in a arts district
I have been looking forwars to check out this place for a while! Located on the Geary Strip, cool, laid back atmosphere. The place was a body shop previously I imagine. The beer, arguably the most important item for a brew pub, was pretty decent. Had the Entheogen, which is an IPA, that one was great. The White Lies, a sour ale, was really refreshing too. I also tried the Autotop, a session sour, which is not my cup of tea. Too far away from beer taste. So, overall good beer but nothing that makes me want to go back. For the food, I cannot recommend. Eat elsewhere and come here for the beer. Had the Mexican pizza, which is essentially a large, stuffed, fried Gordita. Was just about ok. The carne guisada tacos were a complete fail. Was more like bolognese sauce in a taco. Just one tortilla, no lime. The service was friendly. Overall, a bit of a let down. If you live in the neighborhood, its a good option to hang out but if you have to cross town to get there, probably not worth it.
Always great beer! The new menu is also super tasty! Staff are the best -even when they are short and busy! Very friendly! Blood Var!!!!!! Food : 5/5 |
The Holy Ghost Blueberry Seltzer has changed my life! Hope this stays around for a while.
I was there on a Saturday evening, not so busy but great ambiance anyways. Their beer are really good, amongst the best breweries in Ontario! I tried all their IPA/IIPAs and they were all pretty amazing. The food was ok...we had the fries supreme, which was ok but too salty to my taste, and the Mexican pizza, which I enjoyed! Service was on point. Cool place overall!
Loved it. Only problem we had was finding parking spots nearby. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian friendly options available like Fries supreme, mushroom tacos. Also, Mexican pizza could be customized to veg by removing beef. It was delicious Food : 4/5 |
Just went in for a pint but stayed for more! Loved the casual outdoor patio and the service was fab! Nova, our sever, was hilarious and on point with beer suggestions ! We ll definitely go back.
The best brewery in Toronto. Beer + food amazing. Nova was fantastic!
Love their sours! We re frequent customers and are so thankful to have BBB in our neighbourhood.
I must say, the experience was fantastic and the beers were amazing! Nova was our server and took excellent care of us. So knowledgeable and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.
Nice place to chill with friends over drinks. The brewery itself is in a warehouse of sorts, so the place is big and airy. The drink menu was short, but what was being offered was good. We ordered several different beers among ourselves. The food was just ok, however. The tacos at 3 for $20 were very expensive and bite-sized. I liked the fried chicken taco the most. The Mexican pizza was dry and bland. Fries supreme were decent.
Great vibes here. Lots of beer options, seating, and even pretty cool merch to purchase. Location is very easy to get to. Staff is very friendly and makes for a great experience. Can t complain
I wanted to give this place a better score but the food is ridiculously priced for mediocre delivery and the beer is not even a redeeming quality. I would rather buy a can from the LCBO. If youre in the neighborhood I wouldnt warn you to stay away but there is almost definitely better options. But servers were friendly and professional.
Great beer, really great selection and super nice people
I havent dined here but I like their Sour IPA beers.
Very chill and interesting spot to get drinks, but its definitely pricey. Its located in a large warehouse and youre able to some of the stainless steel fermenters in the back! Theres lots of nice air flow from having the huge doors open too. They have food here from Beast, but it seemed overpriced for the portions you get. Be sure to check out their store right next door for cool merch and packaged drinks!
Amazing brewery, had a spicy cherry sour it was awesome!! One of the best beers I ve ever had!!!
I didnt have any food this time just a couple of drinks. The space is really cool, with lots of barrels and the tables old hydro cable spools. To drink they have more than just beer. Every table was taken when I was there, on a Tuesday night no less which suggests to me this place is popular with the local community.
Love this place. Great environment, great beer, great people
Captain Howdy and Devils Trill is some of the best craft beer i ever had. Beast Chef makes sure you sober up with his proper flavors.
Food and beer was great, but I had to put in way too much effort to get my order taken. It would have been better if I was ever asked if I wanted anything.
I rarely write a review but this time, I have to. The beer, the food and the staff are great at Blood Brothers but Cathy W has been outstanding to deal with in my purchase of a keg of Shumei. There are few breweries locally that sell kegs but Cathys enthusiasm, responsiveness, and attention to detail was outworldly amazing. The only thought in my head right now is what will the next keg be that I am ordering from them. Thank you Cathy for your help!
Cozy spot, great beer, great food (try the crispy pigs ears), fast and friendly staff.
