Founded in Montreal in 1993, eggspectation is famous for elevated takes on comfort-food classics for brunch, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Eggspectation uses classic ingredients and bold new flavors to create memorable dishes in a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. When you are dining with the people who matter during the moments that matter, eggspectation is where memories are made.
Amazing food and service! My first breakfast in Canada and I’d come back. The mini loaf and syrup was so good - fresh bread with a sweet syrup. French toast, eggs and bacon with potatoes were also class. Price was very reasonable too. Highly recommend!!!
It’s a pretty busy location, so sometimes you’d have to put your name down on the wait list and they will text you when your table is ready. Eaton Centre is a few minutes walk away so waiting around there passes the time by pretty well. Their menu is pretty extensive with the typical breakfast items, but also unique ones. They had a Japanese breakfast special when we came in for instance. Apparently, their kitchen staff are mostly Japanese and made this for their family meals in the restaurant and decided to serve it as a menu items for customers. Food is decent for the price, and filling. It’s a bit jarring though to have fresh orange juice priced at $9. Service is attentive and it’s a good place to stop by for food.
I have just one word. Spectacular. We’ve been there twice, because we couldn’t get enough. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was great. If I ever get a chance to come back to Toronto, it’ll be the first place I visit.
Absolutely amazing. This meal brings hope back to breakfast being the favourite meal of the day. I purchased the lobster benny for $36 and I would have paid $50. I stop here every time I visit Toronto and am more impressed each time. Keep delivering amazing food to the people!
The service was super fast with a friendly and knowledgeable waiter. The food was good/comforting. Would come here again for a meal that hits the spot and gets it right quickly, the first time.
Eggspectation in Trinity Bell Toronto, offers a delightful breakfast/brunch experience with standout dishes like the salmon eggs Benedict and super fluffy pancakes (shown in the pictures below). The food is consistently praised for its quality, with the eggs Benedict being particularly noteworthy for its perfectly poached eggs and rich, flavorful hollandaise sauce. The pancakes are light and airy, adding a sweet touch to the meal. Service is impressively fast, we were a table of 11 yet the service were great! The outdoor seating area provides a lovely view, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy a meal. Despite the hustle and bustle, the overall experience is highly satisfying, especially for brunch lovers.
Very much liked the place , specially the food prepared. Frankly speaking, top notch among the category of these restaurant based on eggs. We had French toast and Pasta - both were too good. Plenty of spaces inside or outside. However we have seen this open during summer only, not sure it's operating hours in winter. Planning to come back soon
I recently visited this branch and had a mixed experience. The service was excellent, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The smoothies and shakes were delicious, offering a refreshing start. However, I found the overall food quality lacking. The portions were surprisingly small, especially given the price. Normally, in the other restaurants, they serve two full-sized toasts with brunch, but here, they served a small toast cut in half, which was disappointing. The Benedict lacked potatoes, which was unexpected. In conclusion, while the service and drinks were great, the restaurant needs to improve the quality and portion sizes of their brunch dishes to match the expectations and value customers are looking for.
I dined at Eggspectation this morning for brunch with friends, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing due to the service. We arrived at 10:40 AM, but from the moment we were seated, our server seemed intent on rushing us. He kept pressuring us to quickly place our orders, telling us he d give us two more minutes, which left us feeling hurried and uncomfortable. Throughout our meal, the server repeatedly came to check if we were done eating, and as soon as one of my friends finished her meal, he asked how we d like the bill, even though the rest of us were still eating and drinking. This all happened within less than an hour of us being there. What made it even more frustrating was that other diners, who had arrived much earlier, were not treated this way. Despite one of us still sipping our drink, the server brought the bill to our table unprompted. This behavior felt rude and disrespectful, especially since brunch should be a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Your staff could benefit from re-training to ensure customers feel welcome and not rushed. Based on this experience, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this location.
Im from MTL and the food was so much better here! PETER was my server and give me the best recommandations! He was so nice to my group! We will come back for sure!
quick service and pretty delicious dine in
Such a fantastic brunch place in Toronto! Loved the pear martini and Almond Croissant toast!!! The server was amazing and the manager was very accommodating as we were running late for a theatre show he helped to expedite the service! Thank you and we will be back!
Amazing breakfast and lunch! The food was exceptional - breakfast and lunch. Amazing service. Food was fresh and the restaurant was quiet and chill. Over all had the best breakfast from my trip to Toronto. We returned the next day for round two!
Love the place and atmosphere. Got the sunrise omelette and it was great. Saw that there was half off wings and well unfortunately they sound better than they tasted. Eggs r definitely a must. Sadly wings r not
I can t wait to try more menu items! Our server was pleasant and attentive. The food came out warm and tasted amazing. Location is ideal and ambience created a feel good vibe with class. I was pleased with everything offered. Parking: Street paid parking may vary as major construction taking place, public paid parking lot nearby Eaton Center (Centre)
Egg restaurant I went to breakfast It was so delicious
On a cold autumn day, the AC is on full speed. We were frozen during our lunch. Why is it on?
The meal was very good, however we felt very rushed by the waiter who came every 2 minutes to ask us what we wanted to order even though we barely had time to look at the menu. Finally the waiter forced me to pay him 18% tip even though the service was terrible. He told me that 18% was the minimum I could pay.
Prime rib benedict was so good. Hollandaise is amazing, eggs are amazing, and the potatoes are surpisingly tasty, and not your typical fried potatoes!
As of yesterday, I was there to have breakfast. At the beginning, they told me that there was no table and that I could sit in the bar section. When I sat in the bar area, I was told I could move to a table. I ordered breakfast at the beginning. My breakfast arrived in just 5 minutes. But I didnt expect it to come this fast. Because I ordered an espresso until my breakfast arrived. Breakfast came before I took a sip of my coffee. The drink I ordered was brought to me just before my breakfast was finished. As if the room was not enough, they brought my bill while I was drinking my coffee. They officially kicked me out. He said, Were not buying your coffee, but the bill has arrived. How come he came without me asking for an account? They dont treat every customer like this. I think you are a racist institution, I condemn you and I definitely do not recommend your place.
Food was fine. There seems to have been some changes since the last time I went. And some minor renovations as well. I ordered the lobster benedict which was pretty good but it seemed like less food than before when I would order it years ago. They used to serve it on English muffins but they gave toast instead and less potatoes with the meal this time as well. Just a bit disappointed from what we got before. Service was very good though.
Food and service were great at this location. Definitely recommended for brunch Kid-friendliness: Kids friendly, staff will help you get set Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible is good
Save your money. This was $20. Not worth it. Total joke.
Peter was great! Fast, charming and knowledgeable. Food really good quality and quantity.
TLDR - Pleasantly surprised by the portions for the prices. Food was tasty. Would recommend for a satisfying, filling brunch! Ordered: Nashville Hot Benny, Uneggspected, Hot Chocolate, Cappuccino. Bennys chicken was big, well seasoned and well cooked. Eggs and hollandaise sauce were great. English muffin was NOT dry, which is rare, so that was appreciated. The potatoes are a little plain for me but nothing that tabasco, salt and pepper cant fix. Hot chocolates whipped cream was crazy good. The hot chocolate itself was sweet and rich, but not overwhelmingly so. The steak was huge and well cooked. The cappuccino hit the spot. Service was great, v fast and friendly! We were initially about to be seated at a regular table, but I asked if we could sit at a booth instead, and they very kindly accommodated!
Great service. Vegetarian options: Dietary restrictions: Kid-friendliness:
Service was fast and food was delicious!
A decent patio if you can get here early enough. They also take reservations by phone. UPDATE (24-10) Liking the new remodel, and also the fall menu
Great breakfast. The shop was always full to the brim and you had the feeling that as soon as you were finished you should leave the shop. That was a bit of a shame.
Had the All American breakfast and my partner had the Classic Eggs Benedict. To say these were out of this world is an understatement. Fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. Coffee is amazing too. Highly recommend!
Good medicine
Nice location amongst the historical buildings and a bustling atmosphere on a Saturday morning. The menu is great for brunch / breakfast, servers attentive and overall a great experience. Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu
Patio is really nice if you can get a spot and the weather is good. The food was good and some special elements to it but was served a little cold (potatoes as an example). But that aside it was a well crafted menu and breakfast meal. Service was prompt and not disruptive to your table conversation. It s a little pricy but not enough to avoid the place. My logic for the 4 was because of a mostly cold meal that was a touch expensive and little light in volume.
Love the food and the iced cappuccino! Everything was great and friendly servers :) I recommend you to eat here
Attentive breakfast spot focused on eggs, but dont ignore their flambe French toast.
The menu is big and has many choices, food quality not so much, I felt the avocado Benedict was tasteless and the toast was dry, their waffle chicken is good, my SO liked their extravaganza , pancake is average, I hated their ice cappuccino It has a nice location and outdoor seats
I love how the place looked but I didn t like their pancakes
I really enjoyed this place, really good coffee, friendly staff, the lamb and egg breakfast was incredible
Was ok. Nothing special. Food
Good spot and food was average. Had the smoked salmon Benny
Wonderful experience, friendly staff and had a great time.
Want to thank Eggspectations for accommodating our huge group of 53 people for a work lunch. Really great service and the tables were even available 20 minutes early. The staff helped us take out some recycling and everyone was very pleased with the food and location. Great communication on site as well.
Eggs!
1ST CLASS Well located place and easy to reach via Google maps! Not having breakfast included in the hotel we opted for a sweet and savory breakfast. Very generous portions and delicious! Unique delicacies! The service was impeccable and fast. They immediately brought both sweet and savory food, at the same time, and two glasses of water. The customer is asked how they prefer eggs: both the type of cooking and the consistency, etc.... Strawberry mascarpone & salted caramel Waffle that melted in your mouth, with the combination of mascarpone and salted caramel, not at all cloying. Even though Im a good eater, I really had difficulty finishing my portion on my own. Eggstravaganza: very good French toast spiced with cinnamon (which is not written on the menu), but it was a truly excellent and welcome combination. Despite the high seasonal temperature, September 20th, we were able to taste the first flavors of an autumn that should finally appear. What more can I say? SUPERLATIVES! definitely a stop not to be missed for a European Championship in Canada.
Amazing place. Food was outstanding as was the service. Highly recommended
We went with lot of expectations but the food was below average. We ordered two Veggie loaded omelettes and one pasta and two French toast portions. The veggie omelette I would rate 2 out of 5 for taste and presentation both. The French toast presentation was 1 out of 5 it was as if chef was not in a good mood, esply the way banana and strawberries were cut. I won t suggest this place. Only thing good about the place was location and lady who served us. Parking: It was Sunday so we parked under Nathan Philips Square Green P parking. It was $10 for the entire day.
Great spot. Fantastic service, great food with tons of options. Definitely recommend this place 12/10
Great service, amazing food! Ice cold mimosas and hot cappuccinos. This place is great and has too many tasty options!!
Coming from Erie Pennsylvania I had a very warm welcome into their restaurant. Thank you Ben thank you Chris You made me and my wife feel at home. The food and service was amazing. We shall return again.
Excellent food and service
Sad vegetarian options, just 1 out of 30 possible dishes. Had to drown all my food on the ketchup to feel the taste
I was excited to try their brunch but it unfortunately did not meet expectations. I ordered their duck confit eggs benedict which was mid. The duck wasn t that tender and potatoes were under flavoured. Service was nice though!
My fav place for breakfast when I am in town. I love the fact that service is all the time high in standards. Staff is great, friendly and very attentive. Thank you Food : 5/5
The food was excellent
Really bad food. Absolutely inedible. Nice servers though!
Terrible cheap quality food. I ve been to the location at Carlton and had fond memories of the chicken and waffles. This was truly inedible and foul with overly battered chicken and dry waffles. Shame the server didn t quality check as we would have sent it all back. My partner had the prime rib benny and it was made of gristle mystery meat and lacked flavour. We ate less than half the food each before paying and leaving.
Went to Eggspectation on a Tuesday morning. The service was good our orders came out quickly, which was a plus. I had the fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were great, but the chicken was disappointing dry and tasted like it was probably frozen. Overall, a mixed experience, but the waffles might be worth trying again.
Best breakfast place in the City. The changes they made recently inside are amazing and food options have improved even further. Also our latest server Anjana, very pleasant and very attentive made our latest brunch experience amazing Uma and David
The best service possible from Peter. Very nice and polite, kind and helpful. Highly recommend the place!
brunch in the centre, lots of choice, excellent food with fresh products, very nice, welcoming and bright environment. a little high compared to other places in the area but definitely a place to return to
Caramel bread!!! Must try!!!
Good food and very friendly waitress even when you speak English like a Spanish cow
Food was fine. Team members pleasant. Restaurant was clean.
Super fast service!!! Scrumptious breakfast (eggspectation) under 12 minutes. Only wish they had lactose-free milk instead of plant-based options! Overall still a 5-star!
This place exceeded my eggspectations! The food was good and the ambiance was amazing It has really neat decor and a great atmosphere -- its currently my go-to brunch spot. I liked the Avocado benedict, but the Nashville benedict not so much. But theres a lot on the menu and I will keep coming back for more eggs
Decent English breakfast place Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food : 4/5 |
Servers were friendly and service was fast. Food is priced ok, worth enjoying in an upscale ambiance.
Dont go here. I ordered a to go order and they messed it up massively I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese (simple enough) I come back and open the bag to see dry scrambled eggs no seasoning and a cup of cheese on the side! The lady who took the order was clearly clueless. It took 35 minutes for my order to be ready. Not worth it
This is a beautiful, modern, and spacious restaurant. The staff were very friendly, especially for first thing in the morning. The food was delicious, and there was a good variety of options on the menu.
Brunch And Breakfast Good Service and Food # Toronto
Excellent service, very complete menu (the eggs have a lot of variety and are excellent)
Excellent place for breakfast. Super recommended.
I like very much the potatos they have in their dishes.
the waffles were dry and the caramel was burnt, everything else was fine, especially Aperoll
I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. One of the waiters, a very tall individual, displayed an incredibly negative attitude. Shockingly, he actually kicked me out of the establishment, preventing me from even placing an order. This level of rudeness is completely unacceptable and has left a very negative impression on me regarding the entire establishment. I have been a regular customer here for some time, and to be treated so poorly as a loyal patron is outrageous. This kind of behavior towards customers is simply inexcusable. Regrettably, due to this experience, I no longer have any desire to visit this restaurant again.
Sure, heres a short review in English: --- I visited this restaurant with high hopes but was extremely disappointed. The service is terrible, and the staff is very rude. Every interaction with the waitstaff was met with irritation and dissatisfaction. The atmosphere is unpleasant, making it a place you go only to ruin your mood. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy their time and meal.
Love both their sweet and savoury options! I always visit Eggspectation when I m in Toronto. I m a sucker for a good eggs Benny and theirs is probably the best hollandaise sauce I ve had! Excited to go back when I m in Toronto next!
These comments are specific to the Bay St. location and not a representation for other locations. Thoughts: I ordered the Eggsuberant and my wife the Eggstravaganza, and they both were below mid - especially the pancakes. I know good pancakes and these were lacking. Further, they did not look or tasted fresh. Its like they were reheated. Additionally, the potatoes were lacking, no flavor and no texture (no crispiness). To top off our experience, the service was TERRIBLE! I got the impression they did not want to serve people of color. There was no acknowledgment of us when we were seated and the young lady with blonde hair just stared without attempting to help when the restaurant had very light traffic at the time. I would give zero stars if I could. This place needs work in every area.
Fantastic restaurant , great choices and great terrace too !
Great food, fast service, and they serve alcohol! Awesome menu, definitely going back
Top tier dining for a good price any time of day. You cant beat that
This is such a great breakfast / lunch spot with a really nice patio! The service is great with super friendly staff and you get your food very fast and it tasted so fresh, their hollandaise was amazing.
One of the few places that the vibe matches the food.
EK CREW COME HERE! Especially if youre tired of hotel breakfast ! Great vibes for a good early morning breakfast. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and she made the perfect recommendations. bottomless coffee and scrumptious food.
Love the food seletion
The food didn t meet my expectations. It was dry and tasted like it wasn t fresh, but heated up. Smoothie and service were good. I wouldn t go there again.
Indeed the best place ever!! The food and the vibe both are perfect! They have patio as well as indoor dining areas and both are equally beautiful. Right next to toronto eaton center and nathan square. Best choice for breakfast and brunch menu. Food
Amazing place for brunch. Must try restaurant. The service was super quick and the food was delicious.
Was here with my family and we got the Classic Eggs Benedict which were really good including the potatoes and my cousin got the lamb and she loved it, she said it was juicy and tender
The location is perfect, just between the Toronto sign and CF Eaton Centres entrance. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict, and it tasted ok. Nothing was special about it except the quantity of salmon. There are outdoor and indoor seats.
The food was FANTASTIC! Chris was such an amazing and attentive server! Thank you Ben for a great bday breakfast!
Food was quite good except the pancake, which was slightly dry. Tiko was an excellent server.
Thank you Ticko Food
So much flavor the lamb eggs and potatoes with feta cheese10/10
Excellent food and service! I visited here twice on a four-day trip.
The only good this is the service, so congratulations to the workers! Quality of food was not good at all. I had really bad stomach pain right after eating the eggs benedicts. They look good in the photo but I sincerely do not recommend it. The place is also really tacky and super loud music. Not a nice experience.
Not as we eggspected... They dont have a table for 6, and my children still prefer the other ... you know. Anyway, overall, its fine.
Great place to enjoy a meal. Atmosphere is inviting and the service/food is great.
Everything was amazing. Kat did very well.
Great menu. Friendly staff. Would return.
Staff were always so nice, the food is so good!
Horrible server even before lunch rush. We came as a group of 12 and they told us that there were no large tables to accommodate for us to sit together. We were already at the restaurant so we agreed to split up into 3 groups to sit in the 3 SEPARATE booths. The server each gave us a glass of water and when ALL of our water glasses were empty, he did not ask if we wanted more water, much less automatically fill it. We would ve understood if it was busy, but there were many empty tables at 11am. They also did not notify us of the automatic 20% gratituity on tables larger than 6 (mind you we didn t even sit together), so that was a lack of professionalism as well. Food was ok, please train the staff better.
Poor service and poor customer dealing.
My family and I went to this place for the first time yesterday for brunch and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant itself is very nice and welcoming. The place is clean and the service is excellent. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and the portions are generous. We will definitely be back. Kid-friendliness: The kids have many options from the kids menu which is very convenient.
Went for the breakfast as a party of sixteen. Food wasnt great, orders were messed-up and one of the waiters was extremely rude and obnoxious. He ordered us not to pass in front of the kitchen and told us to go around in a bad tone, wonder what he was doing in F&B business where customer service is a priority and politeness comes as a second nature.
Great service! It was a busy Sunday morning so a bit of a wait as expected. We got lucky and got a booth - they provided some colouring sheets and crayons to keep our daughter occupied. Food was great, served fast and fresh! Kid-friendliness: Offered colouring sheets + crayons
Beautiful cafe with great food and a nice atmosphere!
They served rotten berries without hesistation
Great place for breakfast or lunch. The service was excellent as well and the prices were reasonable for downtown TO. They have a very nice patio too.
I had the eggstraviganza and Tropical smoothie. I dont eat pork so I was happy to see they have a turkey bacon and turkey sausage alternative. The food was amazing french toast was excellent. Friendly staff, outstanding service; we was served by Cris. I would recommend to others and would definitely come again.
Portions have gotten smaller and smaller each time I come here. I understand inflation but a restaurant cant decrease their portion and raise prices. I literally got a very small amount of egg and a few pieces of potato. Unacceptable for a $25 meal. Used to love this place. Our server was nothing to rave about either. Very nonchalant.
We stopped here for breakfast late morning. The vibe inside is urban. We were served fairly quickly and everyone enjoyed their meals. The lox sandwich on the croissant was tasty.
I dont usually leave reviews, but I had such a fantastic time here that I just have to! The food was delicious and arrived SO fast, despite me asking for adjustments. I was very surprised by the speed. My server was also very friendly, personable and attentive. We connected on a personal level, which made the visit memorable for me. The atmosphere was very modern and neat. Prices were decent, too. No waiting, despite arriving at a busy time. Overall, fantastic experience.
Best eggspectation I ve been to. Although the rest are nice and clean as well, this one just had a slightly more modern style and atmosphere to it. It s a solid place to grab brunch before heading to eaton for shopping.
Food is very mid. Taste like something you could make for 5 bucks but they charged 20. Service and vibes are good.
Food was so bad I almost vomited. I took one bite and decided to leave. Still got charged full price.
Good choice, will definitely go again. Potatoes were really good, eggs perfectly cooked. Hollandaise sauce and steak were a little bland, needed seasoning. Good service with many staff organising the day which felt hectic while there were not many costumers, just after opening.
Breakfast on the last morning of your stay. We had already fallen in love with Toronto, but this restaurant was the final highlight of our experience, why we will definitely come back to play here. The kids had pancakes and smoothies. I personally ordered the traditional Egg Benedict version, which was 10+. The kids ate half of my portion after getting a first taste of the new treat. I dont think fried eggs are good enough anymore. ;) The atmosphere, service and decor works for families with kids, couples and larger groups alike. The kids and I give you 5 stars, thank you.
Lovely place to have brunch, food is good, and the servers are nice. Quite busy on the weekends, will recommend booking a table before coming
Amazing food, large portions, and fast service.
This restaurant is ideal for a Sunday brunch, very nice place and very professional and friendly waiters
Rude hostess wouldnt let me use the bathroom until my reservation was active. Lol what a joke . Need to train employeess better
Ordered delivery and of the two breakfasts, one was missing. Tried to call to resolve but their AI assistant isn t capable of helping, so I ve had to reorder the missing food.
I ordered a vegan omelette. I like it, very delicious Staff here are wonderful
Very bad service and staff is very bad and lazy
Last brunch before we head back to Vancouver... and what a way to end the trip. Huevos ranchers hit the spot! Food did come out pretty quick which is a little sus but tasted amazing so... no complaints. Food
Great place, been coming here for years and its our favorite spot and the employees are so nice.
Great food and big portions. Service was excellent
I can say it was my worst experience in a restaurant! I ordered bene ducked for brunch. It was dry and bland. It was so poorly made that did not taste like anything! The service poor too! We had to wait for 45 minutes just because they wouldnt put three tables together to fit 6 people! Theyre behaviour was unwelcoming and unpleasant too. Overall I had a dissatisfying experience and wont suggest this place at all!
The breakfast selection is beautiful !!! and everything I tried was above and beyond!
I liked the place after renovation .. menu has verity of options food was teasty I like the goody bread was so delicious highly recommended for breakfest/branch
Always good food at Eggspectation! We love stopping by for eggs & hollandaise sauce. The hardest part is deciding what to get, because its all delicious! Friendly and fast service.
I got one of the French toast meals and it did not disappoint my taste buds at all. From the French toast to the potatoes everything was well cooked. Also, one of the best mac and cheese I ve tasted considering I ve tasted a lot. The Mac and cheese was well seasoned and tasted delicious! For my beverage I got the tropical smoothie, it was alright, could ve added more mango and less orange. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place.
Really bad pancakes (soggy and not fluffy
Disappointed. My steak was overcooked, dry, and had no flavor. I asked for a medium rare and they gave me a medium well. Potatoes were soggy and have no flavor too. Just disappointed as it was the expensive one on the menu and the Chefs didn t seem to care what they put on the plate. How could you send your food for service knowing it doesn t pass the standard? The Expo person should have made the call on this. I get that it s busy but you re looking at a one-time guest only and not a returning to be a regular guest. The space was too tight. The server didn t do a quality check. So we just got our bill and left. On the other hand, my husband s plate (taco) was good. Nevertheless, we re not coming back. Train your chefs how to cook with love.
Staff were attentive and the food was a tasty inexpensive lunch option. Classic bagel with avocado, egg, and bacon was 11$ - Large portion, tasty fries, and unlimited coffee refills. Coffee was decent too!
Higley recommended that the food and the service are amazing
Excelente service and we got our food really fast!
Great!
A great place for a quick meal. Putin might be a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of. Right next to Toronto City Hall Wheelchair accessibility: possible
Great food, decent prices. The service was amazing, the wait staff, bartenders and hostesses were all kind and attentive. The best service Ive received at a restaurant in a long time. Would definitely return.
Had a delicious breakfast, mimosas, and awesome coffee in February 2024. We ordered salmon omelettes and they were nicely prepared, simple drip coffee was very tasty. Service was quick and friendly on a busy Saturday morning. Highly recommend it! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options as well as bread.
I had a great experience at this restaurant! Although it appeared busy at first, the bathrooms were amazing! Im going to make this a weekly stop from now on. Highly recommend checking it out!
Great meal and service! Go check out the new renovations! Open late now Friday and Saturday
A perfect place for Sunday brunch or lunch. Just perfect!
Incredible breakfast. I had the poutine, pancakes and this green juice. Quality ingredients, fast service and nice vibes. Will be coming back for sure.
Would highly recommend this place for breakfast. We loved everything. They have great savory and sweet options as well as a nice kids menu. The servers and staff were all very nice and helpful. Kid-friendliness: They were very friendly and had great kids options on their menu!
Great people. Great food. Try them out
Good fast service. Delicious eggs! Potatoes Lyonaise style a great side.
Great stuff! Top marks on service, price, selection, and atmosphere. The meals are a large size for a moderate price. Ill be back
Beautiful breakfast! Great place!
Tbf I think we got the wrong things because none of us got eggs despite the name of the restaurant The chicken and waffles were fine, the yogurt bowl was also average, but the cajun pasta tasted like it came from a can?? I could have made it at home.. Also the food came out all together in 5 minutes which is so sus. But the vibe was not bad, and the staff were friendly. Food... very mid.
Over priced.
Omg the best breakfast ever! We came here two times while we visited Toronto and were never disappointed!
They re finally open again after renovations! It looks great - the service was excellent and so was the food, there are quite a few new things on the menu.
Cool vibe and atmosphere food was awesome! The Duck Benedict was phenomenal!!! Great service as well! Will be back!
Visited January 2024. Upon entering staff immediately welcome us to a table.service was great and plenty of options in the menu. After ordering food cane extremely fast like less then 10 min. Food was really nice . I came based on google reviews for pancakes. For my taste pancakes were nice and fluffy but way too sweet. Portion size was ok for me but my big hubby a little small.
Ordered the Prime Rib sandwich for delivery from Uber Eats - I prefer beef to be cooked medium well so this wasn t edible. My feedback would be to either give customers the option of how they want the meat cooked, or specify in the menu that it ll be served like this - The only reason I bumped this up from a 1 star to a 2 star is because the guy I spoke to when I called in was reasonable.
Very quick and attentive service! Food was delicious! We had a really nice local beer with food. Had the Toluca poutine and chicken waffles and don t regret! Highly recommend if you are around!
Just amazing. Best place we have visited in Toronto!! Great service, fantastic food and lovely atmosphere. We have just finished brunch and are thinking of coming back for dinner!
Too expensive
Great spot next door to CF Marriott Downtown. Quick service, large portions, great service!
Super good. Beautiful setting. The servers are super friendly. I would come back!
I used to dine at Eggspectation all around the city then stopped during the Covid. It was a place where I invite people for breakfast and lunch. Today I had guests and was surprised. food portions became really smaller and food not tasty. After eating breakfast I got so tired had to go home and sleep. My order was egg Benedict, my favourite, with spinach and cheese that was not felt at all. The HOLLANDAISE sauce was really not tasty and had mustard overall taste. Egg Benedict s classic has smoked salmon and spinach but in the menus they were two separate orders. So sad as quality, quantity and price has chanced drastically. It is not special anymore. I am writing this so that the restaurant owners and the chef reconsider the recipes and portions.
Standard brunch menu items. Particularly liked the green smoothie. Great atmosphere for catching up with friends.
Food is not upto mark, service is ok,not recommended
Loved the patio. The food was good. Friendly staff and good service.
Worst management. Employees are too rude don t know how to behave
Really good food that came out fast. We had a party of 5 with no reservations and were seated promptly, ordered, and received our food in under 20 minutes during the Saturday brunch rush. Only 2 minor issues preventing this from being a 5 star experience: my pancakes came out fast but were warm at best, and we were charged an additional $3 for a small side of bbq sauce (no mention of the extra charge when ordering and compared to their reasonable prices that seemed high).
I spent very good time at brunch in this restaurant with my mom, lovely atmosphere, delicious food fast service, and best patio with shadow!!!!
Very well located and pleasant place for everyone.
Came here for breakfast. Generous portions. Everything was flavorful. The pancakes left a bit to be desired; they seemed too dense to me. Potatoes were fantastic.
Update: May/2018. Breakfast for two with no disappointments. Avocado Benny along with The American aka The Lumberjack as other restaurants call it with sausage, bacon & ham. Both are tasty and filling. Our Server (Ben) is pleasant, clean, friendly and best of all, efficient. *** First time experience with a friend who has been several times. I was steered clear of the lobster Benny. Both friend and a second helpful soul stated it wasnt the greatest in portion and taste. And I cannot comment as to the washrooms as plumbing work was in progress. Both will have to wait for a return visit. Seating was quick even with a packed house. A line at the front door began to form. Front steps make it difficult for those using mobility devices. Our Server was clean, friendly and helpful. I opted for the Eggs Benny Smoked Salmon with fruit and potatoes. It did not disappoint. A full plate of perfectly prepared items right down to the eggs and their flowing yolks. As a franchise the menu should be the same as any other Eggspectation. Sadly it is not and you will be sorely disappointed if you expect menu items from Montreal or other to be available at this location. Breakfast for two with coffee $40.00.
Great experience and good meal
We went there as a family for breakfast on a weekend. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. Our server did a good job getting our orders and keeping refilling our coffee cups. Everthing was tasty and coffwas really good but home fries and sausage were a bit of a disappointment. The fries were a but dry and piled to the top - I didnt see anybody finishing them. The sausage had paper taste to it and didnt taste like meat. Everything else was really good especially blueberry pancakes (yum!).
Strawberry and chocolate French toast Breakfast tacos Crab cake Benedict Cute interior and really great food with awesome portions, it gets really busy here on the weekends, so be mindful of that - but that just means it s a good place!
Awesome tasting food! Great sizes and decent prices!
Great food! We made twice during our trip! Kamala is great server
I have been to other locations and had enjoyed it. This time around it was quite underwhelming and disappointing. Would not rush back.
My mom, whos a picky eater specially enjoyed the lobster Benedict. We will be returning for sure. Pa. We returned. Numerous times:)
Nice place, decent real food, high but within reason today pricing. Nothing blew me away but good. $200 with tip for 6 people having breakfast.
Food is really good, so many good options and fast service! Is more on the pricey side tho
Food was very good, and in a good area close to a lots of attractions for tourists. Kaitlyn was our server and she was very lovely. Be back for sure next time that i ll be in Toronto!
Great place for a quick breakfast/brunch, family friendly. We thought service was great, food was good, I found the pancake more like a pastry but still tasty! I loved the freshly squeezed juices and service was quick! Plenty of space indoors and out. Parking: Parking in the Eaton Center or near City Hall Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs and an area to park your stroller Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp, convenient for our stroller
Pancakes were 2.5/5 Crabcakes 4/5, drinks a 3 too
My wife and I were visiting Toronto and found this place near our hotel. Came for breakfast and I think I had the BEST French toast Ive ever had! It was so good we came back a second time! Our server Caitlin was awesome, and remembered us the second time around. We will definitely be back if were in the city again!
Very nice service and fast breakfast. We had the Eggsuberant and the Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes. Food
Awesome food and super fast!
Was in the Toronto downtown area running errands so had stop in for Brunch at #Eggspectation . Brunch is seven days a week here, so had to go for the adult beverages. I got the #IrishCoffee Jameson Irish Whiskey, Irish Cream, coffee, topped with whipped cream and green creme de menthe. A great way to enjoy the morning coffee. My husband had a lovely #StrawberryMimosa Prosecco with strawberry puree. It was nice and strong. My husband also ordered the #FrenchToastFlambé French toast brioche, topped with strawberries, bananas, and walnuts flambéed in an orange brandy liqueur. He loved it! While the Flambé was not done table side, for the spectacle, the flavor was wonderful. I ordered the #MontrealerOmelette filled with smoked meat and Swiss cheese, and served with Lyonnaise-style potatoes, watermelon, and a pickle. It was yummy. The Omelette was cooked the way I like, The meat included in the egg and not just as a filling in the omelette. Nice Swiss cheese that was melty and good. The melon was a nice sweet addition and the pickle gave a wonderful counterpoint to the rest of the savory food. My meal also came with a lovely multigrain toast that had a lot of flavor and included butter, jam,and peanut butter on the side. We had no waiting for a table and the service was quick and efficient. There was some great art on the walls to enjoy with our lovely Brunch, it met our Eggspectation
Tried strawberry caramel waffle and it was amazing. Best customer service overall and serving was fulfilling, thank you eggspectation
Monday (September 18) was my birthday and I went there for my Brunthday with my favourite person. Thanks for this big opening in my day. Meets expectation though ain t not an Allô mon coco.
