Excellent spot for quick and cheap snack/ small lunch. I got the sticky rice dumpling and tea egg; so fresh and tasty. And super affordable!
I’ve been enjoying this place since I was a kid. Unpretentious spot for street snacks. One of the few remaining gems of the good old days. Amazing prices and always friendly prompt customer service. Very well maintained and clean. The bubble tea always hit the spot.
Loved everything we got from here (soy milk, fish and meat balls, and tea eggs). You can taste how fresh and delicious everything is- honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to try anything from their menu. This place is an absolute gem!!
It is a tasty place with great price. But they have updated the price now. The fish ball is now $3.75 for 6, and the beef ball is $4 for 5.
5/5 THEM. I've been going since I was a kid and I can still go there and get my fish and/or beef balls in a cup. Nothing fancy about it, boiled with a hint of curry flavour if you get the curry ones and some hoisin and hot sauce on top. Cheap, good on the go, quick, couldn't ask for more.
Must try. Places like these don’t exist anymore and this is one of the best. Huge variety of authentic street snacks found in Hong Kong decades ago. The grass jelly is fantastic. Just perfect and better than what you’ll find in HK now. The owner is so friendly. A happy place! It’s listed as Yummy Place on Google but the sign says Dragon City Corner Snacks. I hope it got the correct name since I stumbled on it by chance on my first visit to Toronto.
Love that this place is still standing since my childhood, though I’m not sure if it’s still the original owner. The fish balls never miss and are still cheap despite rising costs everywhere else. They used to be the only place that had HK style snacks and bubble tea, but now Chinatown is filled with those types of shops. I encourage everyone to try the snacks they have to offer here!
Interesting name! Essentially this place is your typical 90s street snack shop that today sits a bit sad because of the lack of customers/traffic. It serves various drinks, bubble teas, Vitasoy and soy milk. Alongside the drinks are the fish balls (spicy and not) and beef balls. Yummy! I missed their curry fish option though… I had brought my own container for the Fishballs and she filled it up offering me a bamboo skewer (as a utensil). If you haven’t tried either fish or beef balls, have a go—pour some black bean sauce and sriracha and it’s a nice warm snack. I also enjoy the tea eggs so I bought a few. They are $1.25 each and makes for a great protein snack! Yummm. I have also purchased her sticky rice which contains mung bean and pork, $3.50–a nice simple snack or small lunch :) Today she had large sticky rice roll, sweet rice cakes, and radish cakes—all staples for the upcoming lunar New Years. They are priced decently and hand made as well. I encourage those who are close by support her. She is so kind, so sweet and overall a great little shop that deserves a bit of recognition :)
The jelly was delicious!
Affordable quick snacks and bubble tea. Tea egg the best!
Absolutely delicious with what I was served fast but most of all did I Say Delicious Kid-friendliness: Seen 2 little asian kids loving & Enjoying bubble tea made my wide order
Lovely owner and great cute spot for cheap snacks and drinks. I got a tea egg for 1.25 and it was delicious and tasted homemade. Great pit stop snacks and drinks
So delicious! The first bite: so ordinary; after a few more bites: wow, delicious! It s that kind of plain deliciousness! Beef meatballs for 5 pieces, $3, cash only. Grandma seems to have given me an extra one I hope more varieties can be added, the child wants to eat oden so much qaq
AWESOME PLACE!! Been coming here everytime Im downtown for almost 7 years getting their bubble tea and fish balls. Super nice owner.
The lady who runs the snack shop is wonderful and kind. Went out of her way to make fresh mango bubble tea for my daughter!
Theres 5 flower tea, and theres 24 ingredients tea! Both at a very cool price of $3 a cup.
I have been going here ever since I was little!! The owners are lovely and always kind. Always fresh and clean. Please go support them I would 10/10 recommend :)
i love this place and the owner!!!
Simple hearty snacks. Love their meatballs and bubble tea and tea eggs. The lady that runs the place is super sweet and not pushy like most little kiosks.
This is a small shop that I must visit every time I come to China town. I like beef balls and fish balls very much. I also bought durian cakes and qingxin cakes before, which are very good. The herbal tea is very bitter and authentic. I recommend it to friends who are brave and can endure hardships to try it Opened by an old couple, sometimes the old lady is there, sometimes the grandpa is here, and occasionally they are both. They are very nice people. Every time they order beef balls and fish balls, they will give one or two more. But I haven t seen my grandpa for a long time. I saw there was a notice on the door of the store that I wanted to sell the shop. The epidemic is not easy for everyone. I am very sad to leave. I hope I can have the opportunity to visit a few more times... Every time I come to China town must visit the this lovely place. I love their beef balls and fish balls, tried durian cakes and sweet rice flour mung bean cake last time I came and they are all perfect. The herbal tea is very authentic bitter , I recommend those who have the courage and can bear bitterness to try it An old couple are operating this place, they are both very nice and kind, every time I order beef balls and fish balls they would give one or two more. But its been a long time since I saw the old man there, and I think they are going to sell this place soon because they posted a piece of paper on the front door wrote for sale, I feel so sad to see this but its not easy for everyone to get through COVID. I hope I can have a chance to patronize a few more times...
