Adorable cafe! Esthetic is beautiful, delicious almond latte, also had the pesto chicken sandwich...the ginger salad dressing is so yummy. Great space for a work meeting or doing some work too.

The best coffee shop in midtown! Well priced, bakery items are always fresh and perfectly baked. Croissants are executed particularly well. Dirty matcha is well worth trying if you like macha and coffee.

Its a small but cute coffeehouse. Chai latte was so good.

This is my to go place for morning coffee when I am in the area!! Amazing coffee, I usually take americano with splash of cream, they make it just perfect!! Also croissants are fresh and delicious!!! Staff is super friendly!!!

Rachels is the go to place for us to get coffee and breakfast almost every Saturday or Sunday. The Grilled Vegetable Ciabatta with Honey Dijon Mustard dressing is our favorite. The caramel latte that we usually get is even better than Starbucks. The staff here is excellent, especially one gentleman who is usually there in the mornings on weekends and is ever so polite. Rachel, who is usually there these days, gives everyone a warm welcome with a big smile and greetings.

I can t decide if the service is better than the coffee or not, but I can say they make the best Dirty Chai I ve ever had.

We visit this coffee shop often. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The sandwiches are delicious, and the drinks are great too. Service - nice! Atmosphere - great! Sandwiches- always tasty and fresh! Pastries - probably need to try more options

I ve been to this place probably 15+ times over the past year. Even though I don t live in the area, I keep coming back because the food here is so gooooood! And there are not only sweet options like in most other coffee shops. I love that each sandwich comes with a small side salad, which makes it an even more filling and balanced meal

Their staff were very nice and welcoming. The sandwiches were delicious and drinks were great too. This review below is for other people who are planning to visit so more people are aware of some of their regular customers here. There were white grannies who seem to come here often during weekends. So if you are colored race be aware. I was brunching with a friend yesterday and there was already a white grandma sitting by the window and we sat one seat away from her. But she gave a racist look as soon as we sat down and started shaking her head. Clicking her tongue as well. Did we do sth?i was so confused. I tried very much to think that her reactions werent towards us. But it was too obvious to ignore. I started feeling uncomfortable. Then another white granny came in and she sat beside us then right away staired at us, shaking head and giving racial look. She even moved her sit short after. I couldnt believe what was happening. We werent loud either. We were just talking with quiet voice. I only saw and heard those racism stairs and discrimination online. I was really mad but also scared to say sth back to them. i wish my husband was there with us coz he would hv said sth back. I wish i had more courage to say sth back to those white grannies. The entire visit was super uncomfortable and all i could do was to stair back :(((( im still so angry i couldnt hv said anything back to them ugh!!!! Be aware of them on the weekeneds!

Ive only ever had the avocado toast to eat here before, and I love it. I come here to work often when Im sick of working from home and this is my favorite cafe to go to. The free wifi is very good. Its usually full in the mornings to sit, but towards the afternoon, it empties up more. The staff are wonderful. So friendly. I just wish they had told me about the loyalty rowards card they have. I only found out about it (after so many times of coming here for coffee) from seeing a customer ordering before me use it. My favorite drink to get is the matcha latte.

Very friendly cafe, I got some tea and a banana very quick, in and out on a very cold day. The service was great and the staff was nice. Inside is on the smaller side but there is seating. My chai was pretty good as well.

My wife and I had been looking forward to trying this coffee place and finally got the chance last week. We arrived at around 4:30 PM, knowing they close at 5 PM, and planned to order takeout. However, the staff (lady with the short hair) at the counter seemed annoyed that we came in so close to closing time. What irked me was their unfriendly attitude, despite there being half an hour left before closing. Will not be returning to this place!

I have been coming to Rachels for many years, and loved the friendly service and delicious coffee. Unfortunately, when the owners are not there, the service is absolutely terrible. I was there recently and the man and the woman with the short hair were talking and when I was in the middle of ordering, they went back to talking before I had finished. In that same visit, I had finished my coffee and was bringing the ceramic mug back to the counter for them. Before I put it down, the woman started snapping her fingers and making hissing noises at me, trying to indicate that I should hand the cup to her. I was honestly shocked by the rudeness! I will say that when the owners (Mr and Mrs Chan) are there, they are always very warm and friendly. However, the staff are terrible and I always have a bad experience when its only the staff there. I am leaving this review in the hopes that the owners will see it and either hire new staff or provide the existing staff with some customer service training.

This place has chill and simple feel to it. The sandwiches and salads are delicious! The drinks are perfectly crafted. The server and counter ppl were extremely friendly and helpful. My wife and I love this place with our child. Dietary restrictions: They can customize your order

This is the place you go to when you dont actually know coffee or pastries. With hot black down the street, Hale and social blend just north, and better pastries att Circles and Squares, I cant imagine why anyone still comes here.

Does this store discriminate and or have favourites? I work in the area and I am an occasional customer at this store. Today, at about 2:09, I walked into the store and was immediately acknowledged by the gentleman behind the counter we are closed I walked out. I observed a gentleman go in after me and was served. I went back in to inquire why the gentleman was served and I was not. I was told he ordered coffee. I said did you ask me what I wanted? He said I m sorry Extremely disappointed, will not return and will discourage people I know from going.

I love this coffee spot! They are always so friendly and nice, even when my friend and I came with our two baby strollers and they helped us in the store. The avocado toast is great! I also like their chai tea lattes and ask for them a bit less sweet. The staff are so friendly and sweet! Love the owner.

Rude staff without considerations for diets and allergies

Ordered a strawberry matcha latte, wasnt satisfactory at all. Full of syrup and artificial taste. It lacked quality and authenticity expected from a boutique coffeehouse. Not worth the spend. For a better strawberry matcha latte, icha tea takes the spot.

There are so many coffee spots in Toronto, and thank goodness for that!... but Rachels is a gem. The coffee is excellent, the service is amazing, and the price for a quality brew is spot on! And if you need a snack or a mid day meal, they have it covered with some unique and tasty options. Rachels is one of the things that makes mid-town so great.

I found this hidden gem by accident one day when I was out for a walk and I fell in love. I ordered the lavender latte and it was one of the best lattes I ve had in a very long time. The cafe is small and cute with delicious coffee. I intend to try more of the menu. New favourite coffee shop in the city. Worth the longer travel time to get here. Highly recommend.

Grabbed a quick latte to go, it was piping hot even after 15minutes of waiting for it to cool down Also the interior is stuffy, surprised they had people and that this so eh oh w has 4.5 stars. A keurig could make a better latte

This is my favorite café! I am originally from Germany, living here in Toronto. Service is amazing, so kind and friendly. They do the extra mile, if you need a charger for your laptop. ;) The food is so good, especially the sandwiches and the chai latté. I can recommend with all my heart.

Amazing coffee in a warm and friendly plce.

The warp and coffee are good. But they said we can sitting only one hour but there are already people sitting more than one hour i think because of we using ipad? And if they have that rule, they should ve tell me before i order or notice first. The food and drink was good so i felt wonderful but they didn t give me time for even i can finish coffee. I don t think we are come back again.

Was so glad I stumbled upon Rachel s Coffeehouse after stopping by La Salumeria (which is two stores down from here), and was greeted so kindly by the barista at the front. They were very lovely to chat with while I waited for my iced latte. There s plenty amount of seats (very comfy) to relax and enjoy your coffee, and I saw a large selection of their food which I will definitely try next time. This place really reminds me of the friendly-neighbourhood cafes that are so inviting, very classic and cozy. Never too busy so getting work done here or hanging out with a friend is welcomed. As Toronto evolves its cafe culture towards aesthetics and minimalism, it s refreshing to find a gem of a cafe that has a little something for everyone on their menu and enough space to dine-in.

I tried their Americano coffee and It wasnt that good. A 3/5 for the quality of their coffee, but the ambiance is really nice.

Great coffee place on Yonge street. If you are a latte lover, this place is worth every penny. It is a great respite to latte lovers like me, that love sipping a hot cup of coffee from an actual cup and not paper cups . Places like these are far and few in Yonge Eglinton. The owners are so kind and courteous. Also serve great sandwiches with side salad - a perfect brunch to have on a weekend!

Honestly and by far the best cafe to be found near Young and Eglinton, and indeed the whole of Toronto! Their cookies are sublime beyond words, and I buy between 1 and 5 of their enormous cookies almost every week. Im known for even sneaking out of work in the middle of the day just to get a hold of one of those cookies! All their food is good, and the meal I would recommend would be a large dark coffee, egg croissant, and a side of one or two of their cookies. Definately come and eat here!

The prices are really affordable and the food tastes delicious! The clerks are also really friendly and its always a pleasure to come back for a cold coffee, a cheesecake or a gigantic cookie.

The experience wasnt great. Maybe a server having a bad day? The server wasnt happy to heat coffe or give any excuses for a extremely sweet coffee that my friend couldnt drink and had to return, no exchange or refund for it.. Food wasnt great, cake too sweet for my taste.

Cute little local coffee shop with some baked goods, sandwiches, and salads. I have not tried their foods but I do quite enjoy their flavoured lattes. The flavours taste genuine and homemade (almond and caramel are my favourites!). The espressos are just ok unfortunately.
