Love there because they consistently uphold high standards in both customer service and food quality. New Orleans is the perfect spot for a dinner with your favourite ones, so be sure to book your table in advance. From start to end everything was perfect. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with fresh flowers, unique decor, and soothing music. The food is outstanding. The superb service that is managed by Mike is by far the best you can get anywhere in Toronto Thank you for the delcious food, cool atmosphere and super friendly service. My personal favourite dish here is the steak—it’s always exceptional.
New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse delivers a fantastic dining experience! The Jambalaya was outstanding, packed with fresh seafood and flavorful sausage. Every bite was perfectly seasoned. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommended!
First time here. Hidden gem. Amazing food. Unbelievable service. Mike, his wife and staff go over and beyond and genuinely love and have passion for what they do. I came for a birthday with my girlfriend and Mike made the night really special. I rarely ever leave reviews but I had to in this case because of impressed I was with this restaurant. I couldn't recommend this place enough to family, friends and everyone else. You're missing out if you don't try it! I'm in the parking lot still and writing this review.... That's how good it was!!!
If you want to treat your lady, man or your stomach, take them here. The staff is incredibly welcoming and does not rush you out the door after your meal. The food was next level! Everything was perfectly cooked, the taste and flavors were more than on point, New Orleans Seafood and Steakhouse are in a league of their own! We were also treated with a complementary chocolate mint liqueur shot after our meal. Thank you for the delcious food, cool atmosphere and super friendly service 🙏🏽❤️
We came here to celebrate our 10th anniversary.. this restaurant is a gem.. the staff the owner .. absolutely lovely. Then the food was absolutely delish.. from the time your first course, the staff brought your second course. Always hot and fresh. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Definitely will be back again. ❤️
Came here for my birthday. The owner was humorous, professional and extremely friendly. We came early so could grab a seat wherever we wanted for 2. Server was super attentive, and our water were never below half; neither were those around us. The environment was perfect for family and friends gathering, and dating. We saw lots of couples come in. It is neither too spacey or squishy, and the lighting was comfortable. The food was amazing. Other reviewers didn’t lie when they say they had the best crab cake here. What’s even more impressive was that they divided the crab cake (2 pieces per order) onto 2 plates with their own vegetable side so we can both enjoy a piece in our own plate. This detail and thoughtfulness is something you don’t see very often nowadays. We also had the Cajun clam and it tasted super tender and juicy. We wiped the bowl clean by dipping the bread into the soup. The seafood Jambalaya was definitely worth a try. The size is very good, and 2 people can definitely order this without any appetizers and go out full. There was A LOT of seafood in it, with fresh fish, shrimp, chorizo, clam, and crayfish. Would definitely come back again with friends :)
Had my birthday dinner here last week. Service was very attentive, excellent and very kind. Staff & owner were very friendly. Hands down, from start to end of our dinner 5⭐️⭐️✨⭐️⭐️. Received complimentary birthday dessert & birthday shot. This place is a hidden 💎 Gem. The ambience is delightful. The calamari appetizer was a top notch! Mike, thank you so so much for accommodating us and for being flexible with our reservation. We were late but you made sure that we were not rushed. We enjoyed the food & drinks..loved it! ♥️ 🍷🥃. Exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended if you’re up for Steak & Cajun food.
I can't recommend this place highly enough!! From the moment you step inside, you're guaranteed an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with fresh flowers, unique decor, and soothing music. The food is outstanding! Both the steaks and seafood are not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. The staff, led by the owners Mike and Mira, are incredibly courteous and personable. They take the time to introduce each dish and offer personalized recommedations, ensuring you never feel rushed. If you're looking to indulge in a truly remarkable experience, especially for a special occasion, this is the place to go!
Such an EXCEPTIONAL dining experience! The atmosphere was warm, inviting and with an authentic New Orleans flair. The service was second to none. And the FOOD was the BEST Cajun Creole I ve ever experienced!!! Make a reservation NOW!!! Vegetarian options: The Vegetable Creole Pasta is perfection!! So much flavour, bountiful vegetables and just the right amount of heat!!! #ChefKiss
The food, service and ambience was exceptional. The Gumbo Yaya, Coconut Shrimp and shrimp Creole was authentic and delicious!
Incredible food and service!!
The owner here takes so much pride in his meals and service that it reflects in the overall experience. I could not figure out how in Toronto I was eating better Cajun food than in New Orleans itself! Highly recommended, and will return during my next business trip. Try the calamari and home made sauce!
If youre looking for a delicious meal with cajun flavors this is the place. The seafood gumbo and cajun seafood boil were both fantastic. The star of the show for me was actually the staff. Its very rare to find a restaurant with such friendly and attentive staff. They truly make you feel like youre family from the moment you walk in the door. Its a very small restaurant thats easy to miss just driving by (also keep in mind they dont have a ton of tables so feel free to call and set up a reservation) but its definitely worth a stop. Truly a hidden gem.
Amazing restaurant!! I didnt know what to expect, but it was great. Service, food, and atmosphere!!
Cozy place with friendly staff and awesome cajun seafood and more! I will definitely be coming back. Parking: This place is a gem!
Amazing food with great service !
Fabulous food. Terrific Service. Best coconut beer shrimp anywhere. Have been coming here for more than 2 decades and we are amazed at the consistency of the food and service. Michael is the quintessential host. Parking: Some free and some cheap paid parking in the green p lot adjacent.
So good! We ordered the Seafood Gumbo to start and it was delicious. Then we had the Jambalaya and Chilean Sea bass which my family loved. The service is great as well. Highly recommended!
My husband, our two year old God daughter and myself went to this amazing restaurant. It was an intimate setting and the decor made me feel like I was actually in New Orleans visiting. The food was so tasty and fresh. We had crab cakes and pasta dishes (seafood & chicken). The customer service is overly top tier which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The owner of the restaurant greeted us and made us feel at home making sure our visit was comfortable. We even got a dessert on the house because we had an anniversary recently. Overall, an 11 out of 10 if that s possible. Check em out. You won t be disappointed. We are going back for sure!
The elderly gentleman, possibly the owner or manager, welcomed us warmly and said, Make it yourself, feel at home, which added a nice touch. The food was delicious, but the atmosphere and service were equally great. Definitely worth a visit!
Such a friendly owner! Great food.
Fantastic from start to finish! Great food great service!
My expectations were exceeded. The food was amazing starting with the appetizer.
Magnificent place, top quality of everything, can t wait to come again
Super food. Super atmosphere. The owner came up to the table and personally introduced himself. Im definitely coming back here again.
Great cozzy place. Will come back for sure.
I enjoyed my dining experience. The managers and servers were personable and very accommodating to my party of 18.
Best cajun food
My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday. Seafood is generally lost on me, but the food was so flavorful and delicious. I loved it. What a treasure of a restaurant. I hope to go back again soon. Dietary restrictions: They are very knowledgeable about what food has gluten in it.
Had the most amazing time here! The food is quality is incredible and everything tasted really fresh. Will definitely come back to try the Jambalaya.
Came here for a date with my husband and I still think about the food ALL THE TIME ! Probably coming this weekend for my husband birthday!!! Amazinggggg food and service!!! Great atmosphere every dish is a hit! Gumbo was to dieeee for 10/10
The best food ever!!!!
Really bad service .
Beautiful decor, and immaculate seafood. Best place to get Jambalaya or a seafood boil in the whole GTA!
Our go-to local spot! Absolutely everything on the menu is delicious and the owner is so sweet. Highly recommend!
Great place to enjoy a good night and delicious food!
Amazing Restaraunt 29 years in business about 10 tables. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian salads and pasta and soup Parking: About 20 spots
So nice to go to a reataurant with people who truley care about what they do ..from top notch service , amazing food that is cooked to perfection and outstanding presentation. My wife and I went for our 10th anniversary and was the absolutely the best decision to go there and celebrate..thank you New Orleans...top shelf
The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent. The lobster and shrimp bisque soup was so delicious, and the crub cakes were perfectly crisp on the outside and moist inside. I was sharing both of these with my partner and the server ensured the food was split in different bowls/plates in the kitchen. Serving sizes are good. The owner stopped by to check in several times and made small talk. If you have a preference for spicy food, this is not the place for it. The food is flavorful and delicious
This resteraunt is exceptional. The food was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The staff was delightful and welcoming. I cant wait to come back!
That s is an absolutely incredible place, food , service, owner!!! Very healthy way of cooking food!!! Highly recommended.
Excellent service, amazing food, perfect atmosphere
Great affordable place. The owner is a really a great guy
Amazing. Great find we had
Amazing and cozy place ....great atmosphere and the service one the best of toronto....quality
Beautiful authentic creole restaurant with highly attentive staff, tasty wine, and incredible food. The creole mussels (with a very well-seasoned tomato-based sauce) and crab cakes were stand-out amazing as appetizers. The jambalaya was so flavoursome and full of seafood, and the rib eye steaks also had a fabulous pepper seasoning. For dessert we all loved the bananas foster, pecan pie, and creme caramel. All amazing. We were even treated to a shot of something that tasted like Frangelico at the end!! We will definitely be back soon, thank you!!
Friendly atmosphere. Small Cosy restaurant with reasonable prices. Very delicious indeed. I highly recommend this place for the seafood enthusiasts. Especially try the New Orleans shrimps. I was not into shrimps until I ate this. You would not regret that.!!!
Great place for special occasions Get in early really busy Awesome service Food
This family owned restaurant has amazing vibes the staff all appear to love being there in the food taste like it s cooked with love.
Came here for my birthday. Its been on my list for some time now and I was really excited to try it. Unfortunately, it wasnt to our taste. We tried many things , cocnut shrimp, calamari (good),crab cakes were probably the best thing we had, jambalaya(very spicy and nothing too special, also its for like 4 people) The steak was overcooked. Remember friends this is new orleans Cajun that means blackened.
Both times I ve been there, it s a great experience: First time was our date, but I had to bring my family the next time and they loved it! Highly recommend the seafood pasta, my partner recommends the fisherman s platter, and my brother the ribeye.
Great service . Great food .
Great service. Love the food. One of my favorite restaurants for steak .
Very tasty top service I can only recommend it
Amazing crab cakes! Friendly staff and delicious food. We went for our anniversary dinner and had a fantastic meal. Theres a bunch of creative and cute decor too.
Great food, atmosphere and service. Try the crab cake and jambalaya plate. Amazing!
We absolutely love this restaurant! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is quaint (12 or so tables) and the service is excellent! We love that the owner has been there each time we ve visited and comes around to the tables asking how everything is and if we need anything.
Excellent food and service. From the owner to the staff, amazing. Will definitely be back. Support local business!!!
The most welcoming and friendly restaurant! The food was delicious and the staff even helped decorate our own birthday cake!
This place is a hidden gem in the city if your looking for intimate place especially with quality delicious eats. The crab cakes, calamari, bass, and shrimp creole entrees were great.
Their business card states, When the last bite is as good as the first, thats cajun. I would beg to slightly differ. In my experience I would say, Thats New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse! In my 76 years, Ive had the opportunity to travel through more than a few of the countries in the world, while sampling a wide variety of cuisines, and NEVER have I had better food in a more welcoming, friendly environment. Tables are covered with two red and white cloths and adorned with a fresh rose. New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse is the hidden gem of Etobicoke. You must go for the best dining experience ever, served in a classy, comfortable dining room and attended to by not one, but many pleasant, well trained staff. The owner, Mike, is a special treat all in himself. He does not miss a table and bestows upon each one an individual attention that seems almost impossible for one man to accomplish in a many-tabled room. When Mike stops at your table, he leaves you with the feeling that you are the only one he has ever had the pleasure to feed. His brown eyes have a mischievous twinkle above a ready smile that is inviting and genuinely warm. His conversation is comfortable and friendly and sneaky. In our one-on-one time with him he learned I was visiting Ontario from Calgary and my girlfriend and I were celebrating our June birthdays. Mine had been the 24th and Joannes was that day. Have I mentioned the food? The FIVE STAR, amazing food! Beautifully presented and spiced with a deft and knowing hand in true cajun tradition. My girlfriend had the salmon and I had the lamb chops! Portions were more than generous and neither of us were able to clean our plates which meant another delicious meal was to be had from our leftovers. I want to say how tender and flavourful the lamb chops were; only the fresh, seared al dente vegetables seriously threatened to show them up. Of course we shared so I got to taste the melt-in-your-mouth, perfectly grilled, salmon that gave me a jolt of pure Pelican envy, wishing for a beak that could hold more than my belly can! Being much too full to think of ordering dessert we basked in the last of our wines chosen from a broad cellar selection and chatted. Even though it was still early in the evening and the dining room was full, we felt no pressure to get up and leave. Mike arrived again at our table and said they would like to give us complimentary birthday desserts and to please take our choice from the menu. Surprised, we both chose the creme caramel which was served on a large dinner plate with a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY written in chocolate and with a lit candle! Even though we were bursting at the seams we both managed to find room to scrape the last bite of eggy caramel goodness, with a touch of semi-sweet chocolate bark, making it a piece de resistance. Now drowning in our decadent fullness we were served with one more surprise in a small, fluted aperitif. At first taste we thought Sambuca, but the taste was too smooth so we asked one of the waiters and found it was a delightful mix of frangelico and white creme de menthe. Mmmmmm. And there you have it! The cat is out of the bag! New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse is the place to go for your best dining experience ever! Kid-friendliness: Fine dining so well behaved children are always welcome. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance free of stairs
The best dinner we have had! The service; the food, the drinks, absolutely amazing! If I could give a 10 star rating, this place deserves it. Enjoyed everything about it!
I took my boyfriend here to celebrate his 27th birthday with his mom. Soon as you walk in it was a warm and intimate setting. The owner took his time to explain the specials that were not in the menu. We got the salmon special for us ladies and steak special for my man DELICIOUS. The crab cakes and calamari were fire. This restaurant did not feel like most typical restaurants where you are rushed with your order. The service was superior. The bread you get to start with were amazing !!!! I wouldn t change a thing. 10/10 lastly they give us dessert for his birthday and a dessert shot !! Just go!!!!!! The owner was very nice and watched over the tables and very personable man. UPDATE 15/07/24: it s a shame you can only have one review per business but here s an update. We went back one year later for my boyfriend s 28th birthday. Mike (owner) immediately recognized us and asked where we have been? Mike is very personable and we updated him about our lives. We saved this place for special occasions and it is worth the wait. We felt at home here once again. The food oh how we have missed it and the service is top tier. Please visit to experience this yourselves because I cannot put it into words ended up hugging Mike goodbye and hopefully see them again soon. Thank you for making his birthday special !
Excellent food (recommend trying the crab cakes), great attentive service, atmosphere was cozy and nostalgic (lots of character) good music. Mike the owner was very welcoming and friendly.
Very good food, but I feel it s overrated for its price.
This Place is honestly chefs kiss. AMAZING FOOD & the staff is incredible 10/10 recommend
Warm welcoming restaurant. If you like small but quality. Food was tasty but portions are small. Food came out too fast raising the question if it was prepared before hand which I asked the manager/owner, but he said he put the order in right away.
10/10 delicious food and excellent service everything was great Mike the owner and host is a great guy make sure to reserve a table since they get busy after 7 pm
Incredible food, atmosphere and people! Absolute must try!
Everything about this restaurant felt like a movie, filled with excellent customer service skills and flavourful dishes. Tried a variety of foods and it blow my mind, each time! From the appetizers to dessert, the experience made us want to come back with more friends. So excited so try it again
Last night we had a superb meal at New Orleans Seafood and Steakhouse. My dinner guest is on a very strict low sodium diet and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. Their attention to those dietary restrictions was heartwarming. Both our meals from appetizers to mains to dessert, perfect! This restaurant and the people who run it are true gems.
The owner of this place is amazing. He serves customers from the heart as if they are guests in his own house, which is very rare now
Came back to this restaurant after years of not living in this area. Food was as great as we remembered. Wait staff and owner/manager were very friendly and attentive but not overly so, not intrusive to our dining experience. We joked with our server about the sauce from the mussels appetizer being so good, one would like to take the left overs home. She not only packed it up and saved it for us, she brought it out at the end of the meal in a bag along with some fresh bread. So thoughtful. We will be sure to bring our friends here in the future. Oh, and our mains were great as well, Shrimp Creole and Cajun Fisherman s Plate. For first timers, the restaurant isn t very large so be sure to make reservations.
Great food and service.
The restaurant is small and quaint. True to the name, the music played and the decor largely reminds you of New Orleans. The food tasted delicious. Two at the table ordered the Rib-eye Steak. One loved their meal and had no issues. The other found the Steak under-seasoned and repeatedly added salt throughout their meal. Now obviously this is entirely a preference thing, but just an FYI to those that like their meat more seasoned. Further, there were a couple of concerns we had. Not issues, but concerns. For example, I ordered the Creole Pasta. The menu stated that the pasta type was Penne. The type of pasta I got was Rotini. Now, again, not an issue, but I was not told of the change to the stated menu item, which clearly described the dish as being made with Penne. Second, we ordered as a table, two Calamari appetizers to be shared towards the entire table. This was then brought out on 4 separate plates already divided behind the scenes within the kitchen. This contained 4 pieces along with a single serving salad per person. We were told it was, So we didnt have to worry about dividing it up ourselves. While I appreciate the sentiment and at the time of this occurring, we thought nothing of it, once I got my main and saw that it had changed, this now leads us to immediately think what else was changed without our knowing? Were the portions of the Calamari reduced without our knowing? A number of decisions were made by the restaurant that took control of the night away from the customer. Again, they werent issues per se, nothing outright wrong, but a couple flags that could potentially be issues. Just a warning to those that have not eaten here before. The restaurant clearly decides to take any sort of control of your meal out of your hands and makes unilateral decisions that impact your entire dish. Now I have minimal doubt that there was any malicious intent, but given that an entire dishs main ingredient was substituted without so much as a heads up, theres now doubt. Hence the 3 stars instead of the 4 that this place likely deserves. Parking: Theres signage about ensuring your valuables are hidden. We saw nothing untowards, but just an FYI. Dont bring expensive cars here.
Hidden gem with very tasty dishes
Delicious food and impeccable service! A must for anyone in Toronto who likes Cajun dishes
Was there for a wedding, and this place did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, the service could not have been better, and the atmosphere was very serene. Highly recommend this place.
Great food, great ambiance, a great experience. Highly recommend!
We moved into the area and I can t say enough about the owners and service. Great people
Ribeye steak was pretty good.... The Seabass was excellent Hospitality was excellent Food : 4/5
I called to make a reservation, but they were closed. To my surprise Mike called me back as soon as they opened and I made a reservation. When we got there we were seated immediately and were very happy with how attentive the staff was and how great the food was. Great night would definitely recommend
Awesome place. The service was exceptional. A little gem Food
A place with a great atmosphere, good choices of foods and drinks and excellent services.
If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would! When we entered the owner so kindly greeted us. Extremely welcoming, including all the staff. The restaurant is very warm and the decor is elegant. The ambience and music matched the vibe of the restaurant. Don t get me started on the food - MOUTH WATERING. A must try and hidden gem in Toronto. I will definitely be back and thank you to all the wonderful staff at this restaurant!
Went here for mother day best meal and service our server shaber was extremely knowledgeable excellent filet and shrimp service from start to finish was great
Excellent, as usual. Crab cakes are fantastic. Personal service from the owner and great servers. Make reservations! (Edit 14May2024) Here again! Blackened catfish with seasonal vegetables and rice. PERFECT! If you love seafood Louisiana style, come here!
Went here last summer for a celebration, & hands down hit the spot . We live on the other side of town, & were in the area. We were craving new flavours and saw this place, and we thought we give it a try. This place really amazed us. We had the jambalaya and gumbo, and it was so flavourful. The pecan pie is so homey. The ambiance that they created added such a special touch to the place. A perfect date night spot . And the staff were very friendly and welcoming, & we appreciated that a lot. Truly is a hidden gem , don t know any other place like this in Toronto. We can t wait to go back again this year and try out more of their stuff!
Took my hubby here for his birthday. I read they were highly rated and I have to say the food was amazing. I have never had crab cakes taste this good! We also shared the Jambalaya which they encourage you to order ahead. (Reservations are recommended ). The food was absolutely amazing ! The restaurant is small and intimate and by the time we were finished our meal the place was packed. Prices were very reasonable and we left with leftovers. The jambalaya is for two people but could probably feed one more. Highly recommend going to eat here if you enjoy steak and seafood!
Incredible experience at this restaurant. The sea bass is extraordinary. Try the pecan pie for dessert. Excellent. Recommend this great quiet spot for special occasions and anniversaries. Food : 5/5
Fantastic atmosphere and the service is always exceptional. We usually have the shrimp creole and its always perfect. The fish is always fresh and the well prepared. Food
Such a welcoming and cozy place with one of the most delicious meals I have ever had! I loved the shrimp! And the pre-meal bread!
Awesome little restaurant in an unassuming location. Great cocktails and good food. The owner is super friendly. Check it out for the ambiance, you wont be disappointed
I d eat here every week if I lived in town! A perfect meal made better by friendly and kind staff.
If I can give this place a 10 star I would. Everything was absolutely phenomenal from walking in the doors, to the service, the decor, the amazing food. What a wonderful pleasant evening. I will definitely be back
Love this place. The people, food, atmosphere and music all contributes to a 5+ star experience every time I go. Highly recommend the Spanish coffee for dessert
This was our second time at New Orleans Seafood and Steak. My fiancé made reservations for the 2 of us on the same day. Parking is limited in this area as this restaurant is located in a small complex. There is also a municipal parking lot, but again, parking is limited. Once you step into the restaurant, youll notice ambient lighting, several portraits of New Orleans related images, and jazz music in the background (my favorite genre of music). One of them being a famous jazz artist named Dizzy Gillespie. This time around, we ordered the Cajun mussels, the Seabass, Tenderloin, and a pecan pie with a bottle of wine. The first time around, the food was delicious. The second time around, it tasted even more delicious! On top of that, we were given a liquid dessert. The food, service, and atmosphere is amazing. You wont be disappointed when you come here. A hidden gem located on Scarlett.
I was pleasantly surprised with a birthday dinner last Sat. My husband & closest friends enjoyed a delicious dinner at NO. The food was great, the staff friendly and hospitable like as if we were family, the setting lively but not too noisy and the special touches for my BD memorable. Highly recommend this spot for a small group or intimate dinner!! Elaine
Excellent place for good seafood and relaxation
The quality of the food was amazing. Everything that we got was delicious.
I don t even know where to start. Everything about this restaurant exceeded my expectations. We were welcomed at the door by the owner Mike . What a gem. I loved hearing the story about New Orleans and his family run restaurant, made you feel right at home. Everything we ordered was homemade except the bread which was sourced from a local baker and the ice cream. I knew I was in for a treat. We started with the Caesar salad which was dressed with the most incredible homemade dressing. We shared a bowl of the creole mussels . The broth was unbelievable. I would have had it as a soup. Make sure you save some bread to dip in. For mains we had the blackened sea bass and New York steak . The steak was cooked to the perfect medium rare. I loved the seared veggies. Portions were beyond generous, food was perfectly seasoned. Honestly one of the best meals I ve had in a long time . I can t wait to go back.
Excellent service, friendly staff, very tasty food! Very cozy restaurant with FRESH flowers on the tables
One place in the city you can count on for an amazing evening every single time. Mike and his team always make you feel so welcome. A+++++. Amazing food. Always feels like home.
Great service, food, and vibes.
There are no words to express the experience. See for yourself! Food is yummy! Staff is amazing!
Amazing place, from the moment you step in, youre greeted with family warmth. Each dish is a masterpiece. The menu offers lots of options, ensuring every craving is satisfied. Definitely will come back!!!
I love this place, the food delicious, the owner is there recommended some dishes!!
Really good appetizers and main dish. The dessert was a bit bland however. Also keep in mind you might have to wait quite a bit when its packed. We waited at least 30+ minutes after we ordered on a Saturday night. By the way, those shrimps are out of this world good.
The food was so delicious, the owner was pleasant, helpful, have sense of humor and created a wonderful atmosphere for dinner, the different and healthy various dishes on the menu put this restaurant in the top level of the restaurants in the city, thnak you all of you for an amasing time in your place and enjoyable time spending there.
We found this amazing restaurant online. We drove down from Newmarket. We were out celebrating my son s birthday. We made a reservation for 5pm the first sitting with a two hour and half sitting. Plenty of time for dinner. They also have a cocktail and wine list. We chose a Chianti to have with dinner. We viewed the menu ahead of time and knew what we wanted to order. They also have specials for the day. Jambalaya takes about thirty minutes to make so we had soup, coconut shrimp and calamari while we waited for the main course. Presentation of your meal is very impressive. Every bite of your meal is truly delicious but just enough and not feeling uncomfortably full. Finished with desert and expresso coffee. Will definitely be back to bring our friends to a great experience. Parking: Limited parking infront of restaurant and paid parking a short walk up street
Love there food. Fresh delicious and excellent services.server so friendly washroomcleam and smell good. Definitely we will come back again.
Ive driven by for years. Thought nothing of it because the exterior doesnt look like much. Typical example of dont judge a book by its cover. Unbelievable experience, the food the service was amazing and theyve kept the prices very reasonable. This is a Top Find!!
My spouse and I went this restaurant last Saturday with another couple and we had a great time! Intimate space with awesome, attentive Service! The food was brilliant! Owner stopped by multiple times to check-in with each table, which was a nice personal touch. I strongly recommend enjoying a meal and the experience of New Orleans Seafood and Steakhouse!
Amazing food & owners. Absolute gem!
Very attentive service. No childrens menu as we saw online prior to our visit, but they offered to make an alternative to the regular menu items. Space was a little tight, overall they made it work.
This is our go to place for crab cakes, seafood and clam chowder., very small intimate quaint place. My birthday celebration last November was dampen by an uncomfirtable discussions/arguments between the owner and customer. It doesn t matter who s at fault but arguments was an ear shot from where we were seating. It left a bad taste in our mouth.
An absolute gem in New Orleans! From the mouthwatering Seafood Boil to the delectable Fishermans Plate, every bite was a taste of perfection. The Lobster & Shrimp Bisque had me at the first spoonful, and the Warmed Pecan Pie and Banana Foster sealed the deal pure bliss! The ambiance is soulful, and the owner is the ultimate host, ensuring a delightful experience. Fresh flowers on the table and a talented wife in the kitchen make it a true Southern culinary haven. An unforgettable evening topped off with a bottle of Niagara Riesling. Five stars for an exceptional dining experience!
Amazing service, food, atmosphere, EVERYTHING! Must visit!
Hands down, this spot is one of the best places to eat dinner in Etobicoke! The owner greets every person who comes through the door and always leaves a lasting impression. The food is incredible . I have never had a dish that I didn t love. The environment is cozy and intimate, perfect for a date night or even dinner with friends and family. I love love love this place!
The soups, the shrimp, and the seabass were all fantastic! The service was just as amazing. We will definitely be back
Charming spot with a friendliness not often found in Toronto restaurants.
What an exception experience! The food and service were amazing. The owner and staff were so attentive and food was delicious. We will definitely be back, totally worth the drive.
I want to particularly thank the staff here. They are very attentive and kind people that just make the experience so much more amazing. The food was exceptional! We loved the Gumbo Yaya and the Jambalaya.
Great food, service and atmosphere!!!
What can I say that hasnt already been posted in previous reviews?! Everything at this restaurant is top notch. The food was flavourful and delicious. The ambience was comfortable and cozy. And the service? All in our group of six agreed that it was the most enjoyable and personable dining service that weve ever had. The owner is gracious, friendly, and has an amazing sense of humour. We all felt as if we were dining at a family members place. All the servers were fantastic, and were great for making suggestions and adding to the experience. Will definitely return for this hidden gem!
family go to for evening out, always make a reservation, two to three settings for dinner only amazing food!! The steaks are oh so good family run and fabulous service.
Listen to me! You need to go to this place! Amazing food, unmatched service. Just wonderful in every aspect. Food

One of the best dining experiences I ve ever had - the staff were so kind and personable. Food was amazing, would definitely recommend :)
Great experience and food. We were sharing plates; they accommodated our requests. We had salad, gumbo, crab cakes and the fresh catch (grouper) - delicious.
It very cozy family owned restaurant, food delicious and service is very good.
Excellent service!
You will absolutely love this place. Theres a reason why theyre so busy. Food is delicious and service is top notch. The owner comes around the tables often ensuring that youre happy with everything. So attentive. Did I mention how FABULOUS the food is? Highly recommend this great restaurant.
Closest I have found to home on par pricing but as close to New Orleans I have found in the GTA
It s amazing food, service and quality I went to NewOrleans USA and food is not different quality and taste than there Thanks you for everything Food : 5/5
What an amazing find. The owner, Mike, was attentive and genuine. Monica, our server, was amazing! We didn t have a reservation but did a walk-in at about 630p on a Thursday. They sat us and took great care of us. We had shrimp creole and seafood creole. Added their amazing andouille sausage. Pecan pie and espresso to finish. Everything was perfect.
Very Happy!
My two nieces and I went to this amazing restaurant sometime ago and meant to write a review because it was an exceptional experience. The food was superb. We had the coconut shrimp, crab cakes and mussels for appetizers. For our main, Jambalaya. We were mmmmming at every bite. The service is above and beyond. Mike the owner went around to make sure everyone was happy. Hes phenomenal so I had to have a chat with him to find out more about him and how he created such exceptional service and of course the great food. They deserve every bit of those four and five star reviews. There are so many great things I would like to say about my dining experience but this review would get too long. Oh Its so good make sure you have reservations.
Everything was great. I 100% recommend it.
A fine dining experience that delivers amazing cajun flavours in an unexpected location! I ve lived in the area most of my life and have always felt the area was lacking when it came to restaurant options, even in regards to take out. I probably have driven past New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse hundreds of times coming home and never noticed it until I saw it pop up on google maps when looking for cajun restaurants in Toronto. Boy am I happy it did, because this has become easily the best restaurant in the area when factoring everything. First the location and service. The location is a lacking point, as the restaurant itself is very small and probably fits less than 30 people max. Although its size, it doesn t get too loud in the restaurant and the interior design is very formal and has a hint of New Orleans culture. As for service, the family running this restaurant are incredibly kind and welcoming, the person I presume to be the owner was around making jokes with patrons and checking in on all of us, ensuring our glasses are full, and all requests are answered. Now onto the food, man does this place hit the spot. I ve wanted to try cajun food for years but never thought a place like this would be so close to home. We started our meal with the crab cakes that do come in a serving of two. Without asking, we were presented our crab cakes on separate plates perfectly plated for myself and my date. Fried to perfection, tender inside but not mushy. Accompanied by a bouquet of fresh veggies, this was a great start to the meal alongside the complimentary bread. Onto our main dish, there were a couple options on the menu I wanted to try, but I felt Jambalaya had to be my first deep dive into cajun food. This dish, although being priced highly, is a hefty portion and easily feeds 2-3 people. The rice, the sausages, the various seafood, all of it was just amazing and fulfilled all my expectations and maybe even exceeded them. This restaurant has become the best fine dining restaurant in the area to me and will now become my go to spot for going out to celebrate special occasions.
Always good food and good time
First time trying this quiz zen... Food very tasty and good portions....Owner went out of his way to please us... Definitely comming back. Food
Super duper great service! Food was also excellent, and well flavored. Certainly a hidden gem in the city.
Amazing place with amazing people working there! If you are looking for a restaurant that has great food and atmosphere, then it is definitely the one to choose! We came to celebrate birthday and ordered jambalaya and crab cakes. They were great, very tasty and fresh food. The owner also gave us free dessert as a birthday gift. Will definitely be back!
I have tasted some really amazing food in my life, but I have never tried food so absolutely delicious! The presentation was remarkable, the ambiance was spectacular, and the music playlist was to die for!!! *Put this place on your bucket list! You will not regret!
Hidden little gem! This place is fantastic. The food was very good, we had the crab cakes to start, the seafood boil main and blackened chicken. Crab cakes were yummy with a neat plating and great sauce. The boil was absolutely delicious, a really nice mix of veg and proteins in there and a fun dish overall. Also they have complimentary bread to start that was very delicious, came warm and with butter. Dont see that much anymore. The staff were fantastic, everyone seemed very attentive and concerned for each tables experience to be great. We never had to ask for more water or anything, but they were not intrusive either. I gotta say triple A staff all around. I think we were also greeted by the owner who seemed extremely welcoming and friendly but again in a non intrusive way. Great staff who genuinely seem to care. Also service wise brought us extra bread for the boil free of charge and they also gave us a nice dessert liquor at the end of the meal. It is a great place for a celebration dinner or just a night out and a nice comfy warm atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable these days for the quality of food and service you receive. Entrees seemed to be around the 20-50$ range (higher prices being like lamb or premium steak cuts), and portions were quite large but not excessive. Highly recommend and will be returning!
I have everything good to say about this place, from the intimate atmosphere, great jazz music, phenomenal food, and supreme service. New Orleans has a small space, but the way it is decorated makes you feel like an escape from reality. The vibe is so relaxing with classic jazz to reflect the South. I brought my family here for the food. Everyone is in agreement that everything they ate was perfection. If you know my family, you will know this is an impossibility. Yet, there it is - the smile with every bite, the nods of approval. For myself, I ordered the mussels, which were cleaned nicely with no residue of sand. This first course was so yummy that my expectation for the main inched higher. The Chilean Sea Bass was the special for the night, and it was cooked beautifully. For dessert, I was surprised with a delectable bowl of ice-cream with a birthday wish written on a plate. Every single dish that came out was nicely presented, and truth be told, I wouldnt mind working in the kitchen so that I can learn to cook these dishes. Most importantly was the service. Mike, who owns the establishment, was our host. He made sure that we were taken care of by checking in to see that everything was to our satisfaction. What stood out about Mike was his hilarious sense of humour and kindness. Its like as though we have known each other for a while. Thats how charming he was with everyone in the room. Truly, an evening of perfection.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is 5 stars, incredible. The service is beyond expectations.
Went for my sons birthday. He wanted seafood and we have been talking about getting the Jambalaya for forever it seems. It did not disappoint. Packed with fish and shrimp, moist and perfectly seasoned, the Jambalaya is delightfully presented and a very generous portion. Combine the food with top notch service and this dining experience is one of the best around.
5 stars, end of story.
Sensational. I could write a long review but that is it in a nutshell. Food was incredible. Atmosphere excellent. We can t wait to come back!
My wife and I dined there last night and it lived up to everything we d hoped for after reading all the positive reviews. The crab cakes were deliciously crispy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside. The mussels were the most delicious we have ever had. The jumbalaya for two was great and packed with different textures and tastes in every bite. The ambience relaxed and cosy Mike and his staff were very welcoming and friendly and even provided us with a treat for our special occasion. Highly recommended and we ll be back!
All was 100%, but our desserts were just slightly less than what we were expecting. We will definitely be back, and maybe order some different desserts. The appetizers and main courses were fantastic, and the service was first class. We have already urged some friends of ours to book a reservation as soon as possible! Food
Very nice atmosphere and service!! Food was very nice. Definitely will be going back as one of our favourites since its in our neighbourhood. Highly recommend it. Food
Hidden gem! Will definitely be back.
For appetizers, we got the Cajun muscles and lobster/shrimp bisque - both were absolutely delicious and savoury. For mains we got the fresh fish of the day and the shrimp creole, the sea bass was so well made and honestly the best tasting fish we ever tried. The portions aren t huge but with an appetizer you re very likely to get full.
My son had been craving Jambalaya and came across this restaurant. We ordered the take out tonight and were very impressed. The meal was excellent and we look forward to trying out more!
Service was outstanding and food
Can not wait to visit again!!!
One word DELICIOUS! My husband, my son and I were greet at the entrance by the owner himself with a warm welcome. Lead us to your seats and shared all the wonderful specials! It was hard to choose from. Everything sounded great. We started with a wonderful bottle of local white wine from the Niagara region. Our appetizers were, a Caesar salad with homemade dressing and scallops and crabcakes. (See pics) I am not a seafood or fish eater but I have to tell you I enjoyed the scallops and the crabcakes! I actually would come back for more of those crabcakes! We continued on to our main meals of blacked chicken, blacked steak and Cajun shrimp. (You most see the pictures) sorry not sorry! And if you can imagine we didn t stop there. We follow with three desserts! Banana foster, pecan pie, and a crème brûlée to top it off! And it was worth it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is, this place is a must!!!!! Compliments to the chef! We ll be back again, and again, and again!
Coconut Shrimp with Marmalade Sauce Beyond Excellent Great Service 110 Plus Soup Excellent.
From the seafood gumbo to the shrimp creole, the food was seasoned to perfection and incredibly tasty. For dessert, we tried the banana foster, and it definitely wont be our last time enjoying it. The service was excellent, and we even had a friendly chat with the owner. Its such a fantastic restaurant, tucked away in the most inconspicuous location.
Crab cakes were amazing
Honest review from a POC: Listen. The service & atmosphere deserve the 4.8 it has. But the food? Absolutely not. Appetizer I got was the Coconut Beer Shrimp. Delicious but not deveined. Price $18.95 for four pieces. Main: Salmon with rice and vegetables It was over cooked and the rice tasted bland and a day old. The vegetables was some blanched green beans, one charred red pepper and one slice of charred carrot. All under seasoned. Dessert: Beignets & Pecan Pie Beignets we re undercooked donut holes with zero flavour in the batter. Think timbits but under done. The pecan pie was definitely store bought, and overly sweet. Just a big No. Bill for four people was $375 plus tax and tip.
Crab cakes amazing. Service wonderful. Authentic New Orleans food lacking flavour? Yes Over charging for a couple pieces of food on your plate and uncle Bens microwave rice? Yes The beignets were over cooked on the outside and lack luster. Not soft and pillow like on the inside. If anyone has ever eaten at southern accent which now is covid ruined you know what Im talking about or actually eaten in New Orleans, Louisiana then you know this place needs improvement.
Excellent Best meal I ve had in a long time Food : 5/5
Wow what a beautiful small cozy place. Ambiance is great with new Orleans music and blues. Food is really great and service is exceptional. Loved it every minutes, worth every dollar!
Nothing special. For $350 (with tip) for 2 people, ive had way better. The lobster and shrimp bisk was very liquidy, tasty but very little and because it was so spicy, you couldnt taste the seafood at all. Main course of fish, rice/lentils and veggies were bland and tasted 1 to 2 days old. The pecan dessert was a joke. So tiny and thin.... wouldnt come back for sure. An update to menue and restaurant is well needed.
Very nice and cozy restaurant with very good service. Strongly recommended
Fantastic experience
Amazing food, service and desserts! Our group enjoyed all the unique flavours and being hosted by the super friendly owner and staff! Thank you for an amazing evening highly recommended!!
Yummy foods and amazing customer service. The owner is nice as well
What a special experience we had here! Celebrated a lovely anniversary dinner here this past weekend. Mike (the owner) made it memorable for us. Service was excellent, the food (soup, seafood/fish and banana dessert) was delicious, and the ambiance was cozy! We would love to return to try out some of the other dishes in the future. Thank you!
In my opinion, the beef is very delicious. The consistency is soft and juicy, which is one of my favorite restaurants in toronto
My second time here, OMG the food and service is absolutely amazing!!! The Jambalaya, Oh My Goodness... Make sure you and a friend / family member come hungry because they expect you to clean the plate. Food : 5/5
First of all I should say that I typically dont leave reviews online and in fact this is my first but I thought I had to provide a review following an amazing meal and outstanding service this week at New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse. The quality, portions and flavours of the dishes was perfect and the service is as good or better than you could expect from the most expensive restaurants in the Toronto and beyond. My wife and I were made to feel welcome as if we were dining in someones home and this will now become our go-to restaurant for special occasions. All of the staff that we encountered were warm, friendly and genuinely committed to outstanding customer service. We travel quite regularly and dine out frequently and I can easily say that this has been the best dining experiences we have had this year and one of the best in many years. We cant wait to return and bring friends and family.
Small quaint restaurant in etobicoke! Perfect for all the locals nearby. Delicious food and mouth watering deserts. Portion size is good and all good is fresh
It s good food !! It s outstanding service !! It s extraordinary hospitality experience! It s a must visit!! We are going back again and again!!!
Great food and service. Good portions. Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. Will definitely come back. Parking: Limited number of free parking spaces outside. Paid parking steps away.
The service really stands out here on top of the amazing food. The crab cakes were our favourite.
Amazing restaurant, I love the gumbo and the jambalaya was flavorful. If you come in pairs and order appetizers they will split the portions in the kitchen so you can each have your own plate. Very helpful for soups if you want to share. It was a pleasant surprise when they brought out two half-bowls of soup. Parking: Only few free parking spots, there is a paid municipal plot beside it charging $2 per hour.
What a great place Food is absolutely delicious And Service was top notch Mike you re an amazing host See you soon!
Friendly Staff and Delicious food!
Loved everything about this place! The food and service was some of the best I ve ever experienced. Crab cakes are a fav.
4 of us had dinner at New Orleans few nights ago. Friends had been there last month and came home raving about it. What a hidden gem! You really wouldnt take notice of this place driving by. Not a big place. Inside, conservative decor. Nice service. Owner v attentive. The wife does all the amazing cooking. Very busy on a Sat night. The meals were worth the wait!! We had the fish of the day, seabass, absolute perfection. Also enjoyed the pasta w the seafood. We had beignets for dessert..I am now a huge fan!! Top quality food!! This place has become our new favorite.
Fantastic service and fantastic food. Everyone we met was so professional and nice. Food was delicious. Definitely coming back
This was our first time at this restaurant and it was such a great experience. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious (I wish I had taken pictures), and the owner took time to come by to each table. What really made the night memorable was when we left, the owner ran out after us just to wish us thanks and to have a good night. It was very sweet how much effort is given to make their customers have a great time at their restaurant. I ll definitely be back and I recommend everyone to eat here at least once in their life!
Good food nice staff relaxing atmosphere
We have been looking for a restaurant in the GTA that serves New Orleans style of food. We found a little gem that everyone should try and you wont regret it. The restaurant is a family run business and Mike and his family are charming hosts, delightful! I wont dignify any negative comments posted here, lets just say the folks who post them havent tried the food here. We were celebrating my birthday and we ordered many of the items on the menu. Starters included a tasty Caesar Salad, with crispy fresh romaine and freshly shaved Parmigiano Reggiano that was well balanced. The Cajun Calamari were made to perfection and very tender. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was nicely balanced and not too sweet. The Seafood Gumbo was a bit on the thin side but had good flavour. The mains were terrific, three of us had the delicious, melt in your mouth Chilean Sea Bass which was reasonably priced to boot! Our youngest likes steak and he had the blackened strip loin with green peppercorn sauce. The steak was tender and better than the steak he had at Hys downtown earlier this year. To end the evening we had Beignets, Bananas Foster, Pecan Pie and Crème Caramel. Mike provided complimentary after dinner aperitifs which was a surprise and a nice touch. We will be back!
Great food, wonderful atmosphere! I loved everything, high quality sea food and their sauce was very delicious. Food
Highlights were the food and drink here. The presentation was beautiful and unpretentious, everything we tried was simple yet flavourful. Crab cakes were the best weve had in Toronto, and my husband said his steak entrée was the best meal hed had out this entire year. Seafood pot boil was 7/10: several times I crunched on grainy bits of sand in the clams. Also they put zucchini skins in it, which felt like disposals thrown in. The stews spicing was well balanced, however I wish theyd been more attentive and asked if we wanted bread to go with it. Only other complaint was the initial long wait as despite a reservation, they took 15 more minutes to get us our seats. And the waiter initially serving us had an off-the-cuff unfriendly attitude. However, the owner who came by later as well as another waiter who ended up bringing our food for the second half of our dinner were nicer. The ambience and interior decor made us feel transported back to a family-run casual dining restaurant in the 1990s, which is a good thing in our books! Will return.
Absolutely wonderful. Hidden gem. beautiful inside. wonderful staff. wonderful food.
Great dinner tonight! Food couldn t have been better. Thank you Mike for a great night! Try the gumbo and beignets for sure.
Always a pleasure going here food is amazing staff is amazing and the owner is like no other great place
Amazing meal ... cajun style
Absolutely incredible.
Best place ,delicious food and wonderful host
It was amazing from start to finish. Loved the appetizer of crab cakes which we shared and each had the blackened chilean sea bass. Absolutely done to perfection - gleaming inside. Service couldnt have been better - we just want to thank all of them for a very special evening.
