Richmond Station is a bustling restaurant located downtown Toronto. Our menu is ingredient focused and technique driven. We are committed to excellent hospitality in a relaxed setting - and to serving delicious food, of course.
Birthday Dinner at Richmond Station: A 7-Course Tasting Menu Adventure This year, I celebrated my birthday with a truly unique and unforgettable dining experience at Richmond Station in Toronto. It was my first time trying a tasting menu, and what a way to start! My wife and I had so much fun savoring a carefully curated 7-course meal, exploring bold flavors, creative presentations, and the welcoming vibe that makes Richmond Station so special. Why Richmond Station? Known for its focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, Richmond Station offers an ever-changing Chef’s Menu that keeps diners on their toes. Every few weeks, the menu transforms, providing new opportunities to discover innovative dishes. I love the element of surprise that comes with not knowing exactly what to expect—it adds an extra layer of excitement to the experience. The atmosphere was warm and lively, and the staff were incredible. From explaining the intricate details of each dish to engaging us in fun, casual conversation, they made the night feel both special and personal. The Experience: Chef’s Menu Highlights Here’s what we indulged in for the November 26 - December 9 Chef’s Menu: 1. Selection of Canapés These small bites were a perfect start to the meal, setting the tone with a burst of creativity and flavor. 2. Pasture-Raised Beef Tartare This dish combined tender beef with beet chutney, pickled onions, and aged cheddar. The balance of tangy and savory flavors was spot-on. 3. Cookstown Sunchoke Velouté Served with black garlic and smoked mushroom, this creamy soup was earthy, comforting, and beautifully presented. 4. Honey Mussels The mussels were paired with gai lan, red curry, and crispy rice. This dish was packed with bold flavors and contrasting textures. 5. Duo of Howick Farms Lamb This was the highlight of the meal for me—a beautifully cooked lamb served with charcoal-grilled eggplant and sweet garden peppers. The smoky, sweet, and savory elements came together seamlessly. 6. Chocolate Cherry Tiramisu A modern take on the classic dessert, this tiramisu featured smoked cherries, chocolate ladyfingers, and amaretto coffee. It was indulgent and rich, with just the right amount of sweetness. 7. Frozen Yogurt The meal ended on a light and refreshing note with frozen yogurt, red fruit granita, and milk chips. It was the perfect palate cleanser. Vegetarian Chef’s Menu For those looking for plant-based options, Richmond Station also offers a Vegetarian Chef’s Menu that’s just as impressive. Some highlights include: • Cookstown Beet Salad with honeycrisp apple and hazelnut cream • Stonetown Cheese Agnolotti with pumpkin mornay and charred onion • Charcoal Grilled Eggplant with sweet pepper velouté and chickpea fritters Our Takeaway This tasting menu experience wasn’t just about the food—it was about the entire journey. Sharing it with my wife made it even more meaningful. Each dish felt like a celebration of creativity and care, and the warm, engaging staff added an extra layer of joy to the evening. If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s both refined and approachable, Richmond Station is a must-visit. The ever-changing menu ensures there’s always something new to explore, making it perfect for special occasions or simply treating yourself. Practical Tips • Reservations: Highly recommended, as the restaurant is quite popular. • Menu: Changes every few weeks, so check their website or call ahead for details. • Location: Richmond Station is centrally located in Toronto, making it easily accessible for locals and visitors alike. Final Thoughts This birthday dinner was more than just a meal—it was a memory. I highly recommend Richmond Station for anyone looking to try a tasting menu for the first time (or the 100th). It’s an experience that will leave you inspired, satisfied, and looking forward to your next visit.
I got the 7-course tasting menu for an anniversary dinner and it was memorable and delicious! Highlights were the koginut squash, charcoal grilled arctic char, and caramel apple "cheesecake" - which were MINDBLOWINGLY GOOD. Like, on the verge of tearing up from happiness good. Portion sizes were good, we were both full at the end. We're so grateful for the amazing experience and can't wait to go back to try their regular menu!
I had a fantastic dinner, we opted for the chef’s menu. The experience was delightful, with each dish beautifully showcasing a fall theme. The squash puree and pumpkin pie dessert were spot on, perfectly seasonal and delicious. The canapés at the start were adorable, and the foie gras was an unexpected highlight, tasting almost like dessert without any strong or off-putting flavors. It was a pleasant surprise! Overall, it was a very filling meal, and we enjoyed every bite.
X-Posted from Open Table: Absolutely incredible experience at Richmond Station! Our group of 4 ordered family style so we could have a bit of everything, and every single dish was DELISH. Some were better than others but all were so impressively delicious in their own right. We got: pumpkin mac & cheese, station burger, duo of duck, organic chicken; chicken fried mushroom oysters, Brie brûlée; nori cured salmon, beef tartare; caramel apple cheesecake. My faves were the tartare, salmon, duck, and chicken. Though it’s really hard to say any of them were particularly worse than any other. Service was fantastic as well. All staff were super attentive and helpful, giving us feedback on our order (we had asked if what we ordered was enough, what things were, etc.) Highly recommend Richmond Station, and I will definitely be back!
If you're looking to treat someone you care about for a fancy dining experience you can't go wrong with this spot. I took my wife here for her birthday and booked the chef's viewing table, it was a fun experience seeing the dishes prepared in front of you. The food is amazing, I've gotta say the burger was the highlight of the meal. The duck Fettuccini was really good and so was the sharing dish. Drinks wise the mocktails weren't anything special though. I will say a lot of people seem to be disappointed in the tasting menu, I'd recommend you just get a dish you'll enjoy. It's decently portioned and will fill you up. Service is amazing, no issues very helpful. Washrooms are clean, tip is included in the price so it's on the pricier side. All in all an amazing time and well deserving of 5 stars.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at **Richmond Station**, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and we had the chance to try five different "shares" plates, which are tapas-style dishes perfect for sharing. Each plate was full of flavor and beautifully prepared – not a single miss! The service was also exceptional. Our waiter, Josh, was amazing, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The entire staff had a warm and positive approach, which made the evening even more enjoyable. I will definitely be going back. One tip: **make sure to reserve a table** as this place is popular, and for good reason!
I tried Richmond Station for lunch and ordered the burger. I really liked that they cook it to temperature, which means the ground beef is freshly ground in-house. They serve it medium rare, which might be a bit adventurous for some, but I enjoyed it. The rosemary fries were great, accompanied by a nice dill aioli. The service was excellent, and the decor was stylish. A nice little surprise was that the menu price includes gratuity, which makes the experience even better. I look forward to coming back.
Went with colleagues to dine in. Tried variety of dishes. Discussed with colleagues after, sharing collective feedback. Pros: 1. Salmon main dish tasted delicious. Plus accommodated to add extra protein as requested which was not on the menu. 2. Hot sauce was provided on request 3. Option of vegan dessert upon request 4. Waitress was very nice and accommodating 5. Washrooms are well maintained and clean. Cons: 1. Saw mouse running from the kitchen. Huge no no so that affected main rating. Because of that honestly I wanted to give 1 star as I find it unacceptable for restaurant that level. 3. Water refill was not happening as often as needed 4. No salt and pepper on the table 5. Even though place was half empty we waited for food for very long 6. Only one out of 4 desserts tasted good , other ones did not feel right. I think they overcomplicated desserts , if they went with simpler options and more traditional recipes it would have been better. For example Rum baba tasted pretty bad like it was citrusy, sour and a bit sweet and had very strange after taste. 7. Portions are incredibly small I left hungry 8. No option of beef steak , duck was not on the menu either even though I saw it on the website 9. Some of staff members on the kitchen do not wear gloves. 10. Orders were messed up, one of colleagues ordered rare beef and another one ordered well done and those got messed up. Overall I think it does not worth visiting as for what I have tried and observed it is overpriced. You can taste way better food and have wider variety of dishes at other places. Plus for that price I would not want to see mouse in the restaurant.
Our server Krish was an absolute dynamo. This guy was the best and most attentive server I have ever had the pleasure of dining with. Thanks Krish for making our evening special!

Krish was an excellent server, 10/10! Recommended great food and drinks. Lovely person and really made the experience for us. Loved our time at Richmond Station
Excellent atmosphere and friendly staff and good service great food!!
My daughter and I planned a special evening of dinner and the ballet. We booked an early reservation at Richmond Station and what an inspired decision that was. Even though it was early and mid week, the restaurant was very full - with good reason. We started with a selection of appetizers which were all delicious.and not overwhelming in size. . My daughter had their famous burger while I had the duck breast. It was the best I ever had. Thanks for a perfect dining experience.
We were looking for a restaurant that offered local dishes to get a small taste of Canadian food. Richmond Station offered that with their finely curated dishes from local ingredients. We would suggest booking in advance as it books up quickly.
Went there yesterday for a dinner with colleague, food was so good ,the presentation and balance on the food was awesome. Really enjoyed the night. For sure will be back here. Food : 5/5
Our soul purpose of the visit was the food. After checking out their online menu and all the reviews, I really wanted to check out this place. Was able to find a last min spot (reservation at a communal table) and we were welcomed nicely. Our server was extremely pleasant and kind. He was very informative (I don t remember his name but I will call him Bri) and helpful with his recommendations. The communal table was ok and not disappointing. My cocktail was delicious (made of bourbon) and David s glass of wine was nice (though expensive 30cad/glass). We ordered couple dishes to share. The scallops were good. We had to wait for a bit for the other appetizers to arrive which I guess they forgot because the carrot salad was very different from the description. It was missing the spicy labneh and the pistachios while it had puffed rice (which was not in the menu). The carrots were not cooked it seems as they were hard (like raw). The Brie was cold (not sure if that s how it was meant to be). The regular burger was good. The chickpea leek burger tasted like falafel and it was a tiny burger (at 30 cad). The Apple cheesecake was ok. Lot of cream foam and a tiny piece of bread hidden under the ice cream. Overall it was ok. Nothing stood out as a complete dish and the price was pretty high (even though tips were included) for the quantity. It was a very busy Sunday evening so I may give it another try on a less busy day in a few months. P.S. The pic is of the half burger that I had to take home with me.
Very flavourful and unique dishes.
What a beautiful place to go on weekends ! Dietary restrictions: Very healthy Kid-friendliness: Good
Good place!
Richmond Station offers an exceptional dining experience! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, while the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. A must-visit spot for food lovers!
Came here to dine with a friend and I can say the food was good and we had a nice time
Nice and delicious
We visited Toronto for a friend s 40th birthday and decided to stop by for a few appetizers and drinks after seeing a play nearby. The atmosphere was so welcoming and we soon realized that this little stop was going to be the highlight of our entire trip. Our waiter Krish took great care of us and when he found out it was our friend s birthday he went above and beyond to make sure she felt special. He even gave us some recommendations on what to order - the cookstown beet salad was awesome! We also enjoyed the crispy polenta fries and the Brigid s brie brûlée was delicious and unlike anything I ve ever tried before. The drinks were equally fantastic! Thank you Krish and everyone behind the scenes at Richmond Station for an unforgettable experience. We can not recommend it enough.
Went there for my birthday and didnt feel all that special because it felt very rushed. Finished dinner in less than an hour. It was amazing that we got greated immediately once we sat down along with drinks but everything felt super rushed.... like they cant take sit to have us out. Pretty much had less than five minutes to go over the menu and asked for order twice. Yes, I could have asked the server to come back... I could appreciate my finished dishes taken away, but not when it was so immediate barely seconds after putting the cutlery down and the next dish was served within a minute after. I barely finished chewing the app and the main was there. I dont like eating cold food so of course I just continued eating. Perhaps its a Toronto, large city thing? The table next to us was empty the whole time so I wouldnt call it too busy. We had a dinner reservation so it just felt so weird.. disappointed.. One can call it very attentive stellar quick service for people whos in a rush between work. I just felt like wow, hmm ok now where should we go next? dessert somewhere else? (I dont even love dessert, I just had the feeling wait thats it?) I probably shouldnt have come on my birthday...hence 3 stars .... good for any super busy- when you have no time to eat kind of day. Then it probably would have been 4 stars perhaps. Limited options when you have food sensitivities. (dairy free/gluten free) Had the duck lettuce wraps as an appetizer - great Korean fusion flavours (contains butter) Fried and grilled organic chicken meal: top notch flavours. They really thought this plate through with every detail. the dill and mint made the flavours pop. (this contained buttermilk) Vegan option (I eat Paleo not vegan but I chose this dish to be safe): Grilled Teriyaki Eggplant with napa was very tasty but I wish they took off the burnt char skin on the bottom so I did not have to the work. Perhaps some people might like burnt charcoal food but not when all you taste is the char killing the pallet. I didnt notice until I had the first bite because it was on the bottom. I was glad it was fairly simple to remove the completely black parts without it interfering with the rest of the eggplant so it tasted great after realizing I had to remove the bottom layer. I didnt eat the fried onion fritter because I forgot it was indeed gluten free, so cannot comment. gratuity included in menu pricing didnt bother to try dessert even though they did have one paleo option (their coconut cream pudding). Just had a tea because there was literally no wait time in between eating apps +mains so I felt like I needed time to just breathe and digest a bit before walking out. The fudge was tasty at the end which was cool to know the lovely server made it. I am not used to eating sugar so that woke me up! Overall, Service was good. I like how the back of the house works the front as well. Loved how passionate the server was. Food tasted amazing. It almost felt like the most flavourful gourmet food in fine dining setting but definitely quick in-and -out service. undecided about this place now because it just felt like we were shood out so quick
Best known for its burgers. Truly delicious!
Nice
Richmond Station is literally my favourite restaurant in a city that s flooded with phenomenal restaurants. Chef Kalyan and his extraordinary team in the kitchen and the ones serving you put tremendous thought and effort into ensuring that you have a one-of-a kind experience. Whether it s the masterfully crafted cocktails, delicious and exquisitely presented food or the warm service- this restaurant is a perfect 10 in all aspects. I am so happy to have found a restaurant when I truly want to have an unforgettable experience- the best part their menu keeps changing which is a testament to the creative genius at Richmond Station. Truly superior!
All good but wasnt as upscale as the website promoted. Service was good and food was good as well, nothing super special. Prices were high just like everywhere else these days. Tip included. We wont go back more because of the many choices available and nothing about the place stood out.
Great food and ambience.
Nice..
Fine dining with dishes that look like they came out of Masterchef Australia. A bit pricey for the average person, but a good place to visit on a special occasion or once-twice a year. There is really cheap parking ($2 for 2 hours) about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. Look it up on Parkopedia. We ordered the Roasted Red Peppers and Carrots Soup, followed by the Wild Leek Pierogies. We finished our meal with the Chocolate & Lavender and Pear & Hazelnut desserts. Every dish was perfect, and spectacular in every bite. We absolutely loved it here, and hope to go back for another special occasion.
The Chefs Menu experience was truly amazing.
The food and service were fantastic. Our waiter, Bhav, did a great job and was super knowledgeable about all our food and wines. I also absolutely appreciate that they have a no tipping policy. It s so refreshing, makes the experience much better and I admire Richmond Station for taking care of its employees. Made us want to come back for another visit
Great cuisine! Nice location! Highly recommended!
Wonderful food and service. They made my partners birthday very special. The Japanese rice beer was great
What a wonderful experience dining at Richmond Station last night! From the warm greeting to our departure, every moment was exceptional. The hostess was incredibly organized and even managed to accommodate us earlier than our reservation, which was a lovely surprise. Our server, Reema, was professional and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with care, especially around a few dietary restrictions, and she made an excellent wine recommendation that truly elevated the meal. The brie and dessert were standout favorites, and the burger was delicious as well. Richmond Station genuinely understands the meaning of hospitality. I highly recommend giving them the chance to host your next night out!
The pumpkin Mac & cheese is insanely good!
My husband and I have been going here since our first date 3 years ago. The staff never fail to make our experience amazing. 100/10 - Delicious food, beautiful interior and friendly environment. I couldnt recommend this place more - its a must if you are looking for a good meal and night out. Special thanks to the staff for sourcing Halal chicken for us on several occasions - they always go above and beyond Dietary restrictions: Catered Halal chicken and made modifications to meals and drinks to exclude alcohol on several occasions- much appreciated
Food was delicious and so were the drinks! Atmosphere is fantastic, great to have a nice conversation while enjoying a great meal! Service was phenomenal!
Food is mediocre. I d like McDonald s fries more than the one I got here. This restaurant is overpriced and overrated.
Had a lovely experience here, came alone for dinner and staff were very kind and friendly! The arctic char with seaweed butter was delicious and I loved the wine recommendations. Flavours are bold.
Absolutely divine, 5 star fine dining. Totally lived up to expectations. Also lots of delicious vegetarian options - check their website for clear labels of what can be made veg or vegan. To start, they had a delicious sounding cocktail special and a special of my favorite type of beer, a gose (sour). I got the gose which was excellent, my friend got the pisco sour which she loved. The appetizer was the star - baked Brie with truffle honey and crunchy croutons on top. The addition of the croutons was so unexpected and delightful. Something indulgent about eating bread on bread, when each type of bread brought something so different in flavors and textures. It was a small serving, not a ton of cheese or too heavy - just right for an appetizer portion. The main course was their comté agnolotti with mushrooms. This was very tasty. The homemade pasta was thick and chewy - a little too thick for my taste, as I felt it took away from the delicate, luscious filling. The filling was divine - creamy aged comté fondue oozing out, the best mouthfeel and flavor. The mushrooms were cooked well but weren t my favorite texture - I prefer mushrooms crispy but these were a bit too chewy for my taste. Definitely a meaty texture though that a lot of people love. Next time as a vegetarian I would probably get a different main, either the veggie burger or try more of their apps. My friend got the meat burger which is what they re known for, and said it s the best burger she s ever had. The dessert was basque cheesecake and just divine - pure bliss. It was one of the best cheesecakes I ve had, with that creamy sweet creme fraiche flavor. Just the right amount of topping with it - summer strawberry sauce and mini meringues. I could ve eaten multiple slices (it was quite a tiny thin slice) but alas we shared dessert! The service was top notch, really friendly, talkative, helpful and made us feel welcome. Overall great vibes. We were at the counter seating which wasn t the best for my back (high top chairs without full back support) but worth it for a last minute reservation. Overall an absolutely excellent meal that lived up to its reputation - I can t wait to be back! Update: adjusting my rating from 5 to 4 stars. I ve been here 5 or 6 times and I find it is inconsistent, hit or miss. Some dishes are really super excellent and some are disappointing. The Brie is always a standout so don t miss that. The mushroom soup is also excellent. However last night I had their pumpkin mac and cheese and it was very disappointing - not a mac and cheese at all. I actually couldn t taste any cheese, the sauce was thin and watery. It was really just a pumpkin pasta, not rich or creamy at all. For the price of the meal it just didn t feel worth it, I ve had better pastas at casual places like Gusto 101, Figo, and Gia. I ve also had an app in the past with such hard seeds on top it was inedible. And I ve had stuffed pasta where the dough was much too thick and undercooked, poorly executed. Finally, there were multiple hairs in our food last night but I ll give them a pass on that because they profusely apologized and made it up to us.
Hip restaurant with a relaxed vibe, focused on food. Servers were knowledgeable about all the dishes and the somm was prepared to talk about all kinds of wine pairings. The roasted mushroom soup (fall seasonal dish) was delicious. I would probably skip the nori-cured salmon unless youre really into that and go for the regular cooked proteins, which all looked pretty good around my table.
The station burger and steak sandwich were incredible. Unquestionably the best burgers in the city.
Had a great time on the chefs menu with wine pairings. Food was great, wines were top notch and the atmosphere fantastic
Lived up to the hype. We had: salmon rillettes (like a smoked salmon spread on kettle chips), nori salmon (like sashimi), beef tartare, the burger, the cheesecake (cake with a cream cheese foam/sauce and caramel ice cream)! We argued over what was our favourite we sat at the chefs counter but ordered a la carte. Fun watching the bustle of the kitchen. Would definitely recommend!
Past its prime. I was fortunate enough to work across the street from Richmond Station for years. Last time I was there on a regular basis was probably 2017. Went last night and was quite let down by the calibre and quality of both the service and food. The server was a bit too attentive, returning to us after dropping off each dish and asking how we are liking it we ordered 5 dishes. Also returning to top off my partner s beer by pouring from the tall can in our table into her glass at least three times throughout our dinner. It would all have been ok I think but the place was busy and loud, so the server had to lean over my shoulder each time which was quite disruptive to the dinner and conversation we were having. The food was decent but not what I remembered. On the burger, it was not medium rare, lacked flavour and arrived at the table lukewarm. The bun got quite soggy and the volume of fries accompanying the burger reminded me of jack astors. I must have enjoyed the burger there at least a dozen times before, and it was always surprisingly good (even when I knew how good it was going to be, it still surprised me.). Last night was a let down. It s too bad Bestellen closed and reopened Italian because they had an amazing burger there too . If Richmond station had a star before, I d say that after last night, it was lost.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Enisa provided excellent service and made our first time dining at Richmond Station and amazing experience.
Came here for our anniversary dinner, and Im so glad we chose here. Just had the Chefs menu, and it was delicious. The Garden Atlas Carrots and the Chicken Agnolotti were to die for! Barsina was our server, and she was so sweet and so knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.
When you first walk in, youre not quite sure what to expect, but as the experience unfolds, it just keeps getting better and better. The sommelier recommended an exceptional selection of wine that perfectly complemented the meal and the food itself was absolutely divine! Each dish a masterpiece bursting with flavor. I m so glad I chose to visit this restaurant!
My friends and I had heard a lot about their burger apparently, it s award-winning! Unfortunately, we didn t quite get the hype. It was alright. It didn t have a ton of flavour. We were thankful for the aioli. Ambiance was lovely.
Ineesa took great care of us. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The whole staff and service went above and beyond. The restaurant is a no tipping restaurant so the prices are transparent on the menu. They took great care of our allergies. They made our anniversary truly special. We can t wait to come back!
nice Vegetarian options: nice Food : 5/5 |
Great food and even better service and atmosphere. They really made it feel special even on a normal day!
Our starter focaccia bread was undercooked and gummy. We sent it back. Our server spoke to the chef and expressed to us that was the way it was supposed to be cooked. I had the burger and my wife had the mushroom soup. Both were underwhelming considering the hype. The service was great. Whoever is running the front end is doing the right things. The kitchen needs work. The menu is pretentious. They should simplify the menu and focus on the basics. ***Owner sent a message worth changing my review. I will come back based on their kind words and well received feedback.
Never do the chefs meal. You are getting smaller than child size portions. See photo The food is 3.5/5 The people get way bigger portion size ordering off the menu Left still hungry and paid 125
Here for the crew! Station burger is also a really delicious bonus
A must try. It was great with everything.
delicious food
Awesome all around, every time!
Great place to dine! Everything was lovely.
Ive had the tasting menu twice before and it was amazing, but this last time I went it was disappointing . The servers were also a bit too forward about asking what was wrong.
We were seated in the bar area rather than the dining room further inside the restaurant. No choice was offered. The food is really quite good. For a main, I had the Moscovy duck which was tender (unusual for duck breast) and flavourful. The salmon appetizer was delicious. The baba dessert had a cake-like consistency rather than the traditional rum-soaked sponge. I wouldnt order that again. A glass of Ontario bubbly was $19. One of the most significant features of this restaurant is its no-tipping policy. The food prices are high to cover this. The service was just fine. An odd thing was that the washrooms were called restrooms, following the U.S. usage. This seemed pretentious.
Blown away by the service of this restaurant! I wanted to show someone from the UK a taste of Toronto and I hit the jackpot deciding on this restaurant. The food was spectacular and will be recommending this spot from now on!
Great service. Attentive and caring, but not overwhelming at all. Tasting menu was wonderful and varied. Wine pairings were balanced and interesting.
Food was excellent (some plates were a bit small), staff was exceptional. Manager and waiters were incredibly kind and attentive. Apparently the tip is already included in the prices so that s something to keep in mind. Would return, great spot!
I went with a large group and kitchen was backed up. We waited over 1.5 hours for the main. We got the station burger and it was cold. Fries were worse than McDonalds. Cant justify the price with this service and quality of food. Appetizers were okay. Wont be returning.
I was really disappointed with the food here. Id read such good reviews and a couple of friends also rated it very highly. The positives: The service was great, the decor is nice, and despite being very full, it wasnt particularly noisy. The not-so-nice: The food was very so-so. I had the Oyster Mushrooms, Bruleed Brie, Eggplant main, and Rum cake dessert. The brie was the only passable item, you cant really go wrong with melted cheese. The eggplant wasnt really seasoned and the sauce was bland. Dessert was half decent.
I ve lived in the city my whole life and this was probably the best meal I ve had here. Get the Brie, it will change your life
I ordered the Duo of Muscovy Duck, Nori Cured Salmon, Chicken Fried Oyster Mushrooms and Chickpea Panisse. We got the table in a separate room and it was quiet enough to chat.
Spend 150$ to vomit it at home. Long story short, it was my wife s birthday, and we decided to to go there. I ordered duck for 45(which was ok for price I think), She ordered pasta with duck and mushrooms. Also, wife does not like cilantro in alll of its kinds, so asked to not add if it suppose to be. Result- she had cilantro, I have nausea Somehow figured out it to home, and vomit all stuff there. Would not go again.
My wife and i had dinner here on Oct 3rd and as always it was fantastic. Weve come here a few times over the years and it is consistently delicious. The real special part is the service, Enisa took such good care of us, she went out of her way to make my birthday special. She caries a genuine kindness about her and Richmond Station is so lucky to have her. As a couple that does eat out alot- this amazing restaurant is always at the top of the list.
I consider this the best cocktail I ever had. My friends went there yesterday and brought it back to NYC for me so I can relive that moment. FYI. They loved it too. Go and drink this now. To the restaurant, thank you for making this happen for me!
Delicious food made with finesse and care, service which asks to bebe tipped for, yet the restaurant takes care of that too! Couldn t ask for more
There is a great vibe at Richmond Station. The staff are very accommodating and the food is exceptional! Dietary restrictions: I have several dietary restrictions so I always send an email in advance of my visits to ensure that the staff is ready to respond to my requirements. They are thorough and helpful. They never fail to ensure that the communication with the kitchen is flawless and they are able to provide delicious options to accommodate my needs.
Im only commenting on their signature burger. It was the worst I have ever had. A big Mac is better (and doesnt cost $30.00). The meat was tough like chewing on a mattress. No taste whatever. (the fries were ok, but uneven, half were dried and crusty). I was so-so-so disappointed even the hype. I will given RS high marks for a polished professional hardworking staff.
Second best meal of my life. It was nice of Brandon to come by and chat.
A fall from grace. Richmond Station used to be one of the best restaurants in the city 5 years ago. I m so disappointed with my most recent experience. The dishes have lost their previous inventiveness and the service was only okay. Overall, the tasting menu was overpriced, and the portions were insufficient and uncreative. Aggressively average, at best.
Came for their burger and it did not disappoint! Nice spot as it s not fancy nor too casual. Service was really friendly.
Unfortunate experience at Richmond Station. Richmond Station has been on my list for a number of years now and I am disappointed to report that the experience was poor. I had the $140 chefs tasting menu ($170 all in), and not only was the menu uninventive, but the execution was also poor, and portion sizes slightly small (even for a tasting menu). Richmond Station has a lot of excellent reviews - but it strikes me as a place where people with an unsophisticated palette who usually eat at Wendy s would consider fine dining, so I would avoid. Unfortunate.
Had the Chefs menu here last night and was seated at the Kitchen Counter. Its been awhile since Ive been here, and unfortunately I felt the standards have gone down. The quality and taste of the food was alright, some of the dishes were way over salted, like the mushroom soup. The biggest negative was the environment, we were seated at the Kitchen Counter, and felt very squeezed. the counter was narrow, not much space for the dishes, wine glasses, etc...then there was a table for 4 right against our back. Literally, the person was speaking into my ear. It was also difficult to get in and out of our seats without bumping into the other table. There should be more space here, if they are seating people by the kitchen. Then we have the kitchen, it was one of the most chaotic kitchen Ive seen. Pots and pans were scattered everywhere, knifes hanging on the wall were not straight, just dangling, counters not clean. Not all the chefs were wearing hair nets, hats, long sleeves or gloves. They all had lots of hair and facial and body hair. I noticed a few times, some of the chefs would scratch their head or face, and not wash their hands afterwards, went straight back to cooking. Chefs apron was filthy. There were flies flying all over the kitchen. Just an image of unprofessional kitchen. Then we have the kitchen being backed up and making mistakes on their order. The Expeditor/Chef de crusine was vocally yelling at his chefs. At one point, he was also jokingly tossing a few pistachios he was prepping at the other chefs by the stove. Not only is this not professional, there is a danger associated with it. Who knows where the pistachios bounce to, could it have gotten into someones food who may be allergic to tree nuts? Our waiters service was lacking, could barely understand the person due to his soft/quiet voice. We asked for a refill of the water pitcher, he took the empty pitcher, but never returned with the refilled pitcher in 10-15 minutes, even though he walked by us a few times. We had to ask him again for the water pitcher after 10-15 minutes. We hardly saw him during our meal. Our tasting menu took well over 2:15 hours to complete, and when we asked for the bill, the waiter didnt give us the chocolate that others had. The kitchen and wait staff standards have definitely gone down since the last time I was here. Definitely dont do the kitchen counter here, not enough space for a comfortable evening, and the view of their kitchen was a turnoff. The saving grace was this restaurant still permits corkage at $40 a bottle. The price for the quantity and quality of food was fair. If only they can improve on their back of house professionalism and cleanliness.
All over it was One of the best places I have been recently ! Great taste , staff and atmosphere
Nice atmosphere, refined menu. Not cheap
Best restaurant in Toronto / amazing staff and a fantastic Somelier - the food is a real taste explosion / ambience is great
Always amazing food, fast service for a businesss lunch. Love the chocolate they give with the bill, decadent.
Impeccable service and hospitality, outstanding food & drink. Attention to detail is on point. Really respect their hospitality included model, which can be very tough to pull off. Cannot wait to go back.
Great food! Awesome service! Bhav took care of me so well! I really enjoy the foods here, love nori cured salmon and monkfish the most!!! Besides this is a non tipping restaurant while it provides the excellent service!!! A must try in Toronto! Food
Amazing food and really great service
Best burger in Toronto! And fantastic service! Couldnt recommend more
The food was great. The serving size was rather small though. Service was nice. A little bit pricey but the place has no tips. Food
I don t know why I didn t visit here earlier. I loved every bit of my culinary experience. My new favourite neighbourhood destination. Thank you Williams for the fantastic hospitality and chef for the wonderful food
Second time getting the tasting menu here. I think the chefs at this restaurant understand flavour. There were multiple dishes which made me want to lick the plate clean. Food wouldve been 5 stars, but the duck felt slightly undercooked/chewy. The rest of the food was extraordinary, so it made up for it. The service, and Aman in particular, were great. The tip is included in the menu but I wish I couldve left a bigger tip. The machine didnt allow for that.
My wife and I went to Toronto for our anniversary and wanted to go someplace special dinner. We decided on Richmond Station and were so happy we did. We ordered the tasting menu and a very nice bottle of wine. Over the 7-course meal we were presented with beautifully plated and amazing food. It was the first time we had ever heard of, or had, tomato water; which was delicious! The atmosphere was great and it was fun watching the chefs cook. They are super busy artisans! The house staff was very nice, attentive, and even wrote Happy Anniversary and put candles on our dessert plate. We had a great evening and are so glad we chose Richmond Station!!! It will forever be a special memory for us.
A staple of downtown Toronto, Richmond Station is unassuming from the exterior. Inside, however, is an extraordinary dining experience. This was my first time going to a very nice restaurant, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Although I was nervous at first, our waiter was welcoming and knowledgeable, which put me at ease. Bonus points if you have the chance to be seated with a view of the kitchen - they offer a rare opportunity to view a kitchen of highly trained chefs practicing their art. We started with a charcuterie board and the duck liver pâté. The charcuterie board was great. The pâté was also good, although I personally prefer a thicker, meatier pâté to the light, whipped texture of theirs. We ordered 4 different mains at our table, and shared so that everyone could have at least a taste of each. Every dish was beautifully plated and cooked perfectly. Dont skimp on dessert - but if you do, they do offer complimentary chocolate fudge with the bill. I look forward to dining here again.
Celebrated an anniversary here last night and were made to feel really special with some nice touches - thank-you team! The food was perfect - fresh, flavourful, creative and local - words to describe the entire experience really, from staff to atmosphere. Sitting at the chefs table and getting to know some of the staff was also a treat and recommended. The menu changes every two weeks to line up with seasonality but if youre there today: strong recommend on the butter-roasted monkfish tail and the raspberry shortcake (ice cream tastes like Fruit Loops!).
Very nice and very good experiences..
Some of the best food I ve ever had! Service was too notch. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto.
Visited today for the first time in a while and am glad to see its still amazing. Their station burger is the stuff of dreams, ground beef stuffed with braised short rib. Their dessert special today was a dark chocolate mousse which was divine. Also included was some in house fudge that just melts in your mouth. As always, I chose the chefs table which allows you to see the kitchen in action as you eat. Watching them make the fudge made it so much more delicious. Something new I learned today is they are now a non-tipping restaurant! Im so glad that they are ensuring their staff are paid well and not relying on tips to make ends meet. I cant wait to return, and will continue to recommend Richmond Station (and the station burger) to everyone!
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Richmond station never failed to impress me. Everything we ordered were delicious. The organic chicken was so tender and juicy. The suckling pig crispy and melt in your mouth. The monkfish was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. Prices are reasonable for the top notch quality food and services we got. Gratuities were included in the food and drink prices which simplified the payment process. I quite like it considering the high quality of the service staff. Im glad Richmond station has maintained ita high standard over the years. Will definitely return again soon.
Great service, some really good dishes. Good value for tasting menu.
Great experience, attentive staff
Wonderful Chefs menu with pairings that included non-alcoholic options. That was a breath of fresh air. Loved it!
A phenomenal experience. The food is, quite simply, fantastic. Everything is unique and everything is a wonderful blend of textures: hard and soft, crunchy and smooth, or pillowy and crispy. Bonus: the cocktails are incredible. I enjoy cocktails but these are simply next level. My wife dislikes cocktails but both of could not stop drinking the milk punch. It takes several DAYS to blend together but it is unreal. EAT HERE!! Wow.
Eat class. Great team, simply a highly recommended restaurant. The best place to sit is at the chefs table, where you can see how the food is prepared.
Excellent, the drinks, try kryptonite and ikigai and the meals uff . The customer service was magnificent with the guidance of Miss Rima.
Great food and atmosphere, loved the all inclusive pricing. More restaurants should do it.
Enisa was amazing! Amazing service, great recommendations and so personal. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. We will definitely come back! Highly recommend
I came with a group and we were seated in a secluded room towards the back of the restaurant. Service here is fantastic and I love the atmosphere. It gets super busy around lunch time given its in the heart of the Financial District area. Great spot for a business lunch and I would recommend making reservations in advance especially if you have specific dietary restrictions so they can let the chef know and prepare in advance. We shared the Stn. Chopped Salad, Chicken Fried Oyster Mushrooms and Smoked Salmon Rillettes as appetizers. For my main, I had the Stn. Burger and an Earl Grey tea. I actually enjoyed the appetizers quite a bit especially the Smoked Salmon Rillettes. The fries that came with my main dish was a tad on the salty side and the burger was very messy to eat as it had a lot of sauce but the meat itself was not particularly juicy. The burger was cooked medium-rare as ordered which was nice. Overall, everything we ordered was flavourful and cooked with high quality ingredients. I would definitely come back.
I was here a few years ago and thought it was good. Came back again and then was utterly disappointed. Lack of variety and the flavour was very average. Maybe if things were 60% of the price I would be ok.
My colleagues and I dined in earlier tonight and had a wonderful experience. I used to frequent Richmond Station in the early days but moved away, and was so glad that the food, service, and ambience remained just as enjoyable as I remember it. Enisa ensured that the dietary accommodations were executed flawlessly, and she was just lovely overall. We were impressed by her ability to remember every detail! All the supporting staff were also extremely attentive and caring - we had a great evening and all look forward to visiting again soon. PS the tahini coconut sundae was fabulous.
We had lunch on a Friday. Great service. Food was so good. This place was a gem
One of the best dining experiences I ve ever had. The level of service, quality of food, and ambiance make this place a real treat.
Richmond Station in Toronto exceeded all expectations with an unforgettable dining experience. The beef tartare was a standout deliciously fresh with a satisfying crunch that set the tone for the rest of the meal. Our mains, the chicken and suckling pig with poblano sauce, were so tender they practically melted in our mouths an absolute delight. The burger? Easily one of the best in the city. For dessert, the plum shortcake, infused with aromatic makrut lime, added a refreshing and elevated touch to the meal. As for the cocktails, each one was a masterpiece. The English Milk Punch, Kryptonite, and Garden Gala were expertly crafted, making for a top-tier drinking experience. And lets not forget the service attentive, friendly, and committed to making our evening special. Richmond Station has definitely earned a repeat visit from us!
We had a fantastic experience with Krish as our waiter. His attention to detail and attentiveness made us feel very welcome and the food was outstanding!
We came here for lunch and don t understand the hype around this place. The food is average, and the fries are extremely dry and mostly burnt. How difficult is it to make fresh, crunchy fries? Its disappointing that the kitchen considers this quality acceptable. The presentation is good but everything else is just okay, I expected more from a highly-rated restaurant.
The only reason Im giving 4 stars and not 5 is cause the service/staff has greatly depreciated in care, character and personality. It was quite sad to see as Richmond Station is probably my favourite restaurant in Toronto and had been for over a decade. Consistency was their strength. Food is excellent; miss the experience this restaurant used to offer.
Good Very nice Food
Had an excellent complete meal here. Excellent service. Delicious food. Amazing cocktails. A+ start to finish. Kudos.
Never a bad meal. Try it all
We had a special night tonight at Richmond Station with a fantastic waitress, Sanna (hope the spelling is correct). Very attentive with great personality. We ended with a wonderful tour of the kitchen. Our son and grandson loved the special attention as they were visiting from Sweden. We will be back soon! And the food was great too lol!! Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu with large portions and colouring sheets too
We were celebrating special night and our lovely server Krzsh made it even special. He was very friendly unwelcoming to start with, but once knew about our special night, he was extra thoughtful to make us feel special. Highly recommended we will definitely come back
Amazing meal in an awesome vibe. Krish made excellent recommendation on a new menu. Wine spot on. Burger spot on. Angleotti out of this world. Would have had dessert but no room! Very accommodating for kids as well
Want to spend your entire food budget on one meal? Not for the average person. Lunch is full of business meetings
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and my birthday here. It was an excellent place with outstanding service one of the friendliest staffs we have ever met. The chefs table is definitely the place to be. The food was also fantastic. Highly recommend visiting!
We went for the chefs tasting menu and had the non alcoholic drink pairing. Everything was excellent but most of all I have to say the service made it such a lovely experience. The staff are all really amazing and it was such a cool experience
One of the best tasting menus I have had. Great service by Krish, food was phenomenal in both taste and portion size. Wonderful wine pairings that were thoroughly explained. Staff overall attentive and food just as amazing as Michelin restaurants I ve been to. Definitely recommend.
Had amazing time with friends today. Friendly staff and appetizing food
Fantastic food, great services, and the first and only no tipping restaurant I found in Toronto. It s great to have a restaurant that pays their staff! 10/10 would recommend.
Beautiful food with such perfect flavours. Had the oysters mushrooms to start and the duo of ducks as my main course. Both were fantastic and I would highly recommend them. Wine was also divine - had the Kew Vineyards 2019 Marsanne / Viognier and NV Chardonnay | Blanc de Blanc. Service was impeccable and had a really nice conversation with the server after our meal.
Dietary restrictions: The staff here were fantastic in helping me find food options that worked with my rather strict food allergies. Everything we worked out was both delicious and filling. I felt like I was a part of the dining experience with the rest of my colleagues instead of being an outsider/not being able to dine properly. I would absolutely return here with friends and colleagues again.
I ve been here a number of times and it s always been an excellent meal and experience. Prices are very fair. Service is outstanding and you can tell. It s a very well run restaurant. Love sitting at the chefs table. Menu has selections that should please picky eaters. Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for my little guy
The burger was great!
We were recommended this restaurant by our friend a local Torontonian. And so glad we tried it out. Our waiter Krish was amazing. Attentive, knowledgeable, informative but not overbearing. Would definitely recommend and return, wish I had more space in my tummy for more. Fresh sourced ingredients from their farm and cooked to perfection. We had the duck salad, the brie, duck main and Pork main. All very delicious.
Nice atmosphere. We tried the tasting menu and I love the Garden so much. Sable fish also well cooked. Special thing for this restaurant is they dont take gratuity. Good to try. Many parking nearby. Food
Loved their food. They have great vegetarian/vegan options. I tried their summer Vegetable Macaroni which was great and my friends recommended the chickpea burger which was good too. Loved their apricot ice tea. Recommended for a team lunch!
We were so excited to finally eat here! The serving staff was amazing. They were super attentive. The sommelier was very personable and knowledgeable. The dessert was perfectly balanced, so it wasnt too sweet . Thank you so much!
The tasting menu is insanely good and not rushed like I find some tastings. The cocktails are amazing. Great vibes. Highly recommend.
Fabulous lunch . beautiful tasty food, lovely wine, excellent service and great ambience. Krish our server was excellent. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed a delicious meal here definitely exceeded our expectations! The best part of our dinner was being served by Sena. She answered all our questions and was very well versed with the menu items. We sat by the kitchen counter, which was a great experience. Sena walks back and forth helping guests. We nicknamed her Sena the conductor. She was fantastic! Thanks for a great evening! xx, your friends from Los Angeles

amazing use of ingredients
Have been waiting for yearssss to come and so glad I finally came! We had the bok choy duck confit salad which was such a nice melange of flavors. we also split the chicken pea and leek burger also scrumptious. Enisa provided impeccable service, attentive, kind, engaging and flexible. She definitely enhanced the experience. And 100% I will be back. Thank you!!
Tried out this restaurant before a Massey Hall show. We were intrigued by the fact that it was run by a Canada s Top chef winner so decided to reserve for dinner . It did not disappoint. We both ordered the leek and chickpea burger with rosemary fries. It was amazing! Tried the home brewed kombucha which was very good. The staff were very attentive. The ambience made for a very nice experience. It was also convenient that the tip was included in the prices which makes it so much easier overall. I recommend this place with no hesitation!
The waiting staff is very attentive but not overbearing. the food is always on point. Today I had the stn burger and it was perfect.
Richmond Station delivers an exceptional dining experience with delicious food and impeccable dish presentation, which I rate a 10. The restaurant offers a good wine selection and features a special every day, adding variety to each visit. A delightful touch is the small chocolate they give you with the check. During our visit, I had the duck, which was cooked perfectly, while my wife had the suckling pig and absolutely loved it. For an appetizer, we tried the crudo, which was fresh and flavorful, though I wished it had been a bit spicier. Overall, Richmond Station provided a great dining experience with outstanding food, presentation, and service.
The tasting menu was excellent! Tip is also included in the price here.
Very nice very good sarvacs
My husband and I had dinner there a few nights ago, and I personally did not like the food at all. I found it wayyyyyy too rich! When I told the server that I didnt like the appetizer (the chickpea panisse) because it was too rich, she offered to bring me something else, but I declined because I figured I would save more room for the entrée, and I wasnt starving, so while I appreciated the gesture, I was fine. However, I had the same problem with the entrée (the cave-aged Comté agnalotti) -- it was really, really rich! When the server asked if we were enjoying everything, I told her honestly that she wasnt going to like me because I yet again did not like the dish. She laughed and said it was no problem, and offered to comp the appetizer. Now that I wasnt eating anything at all, I accepted gratefully. My husband and I were sharing all the plates, and he liked everything, so we didnt return any food -- he ate it all. At the end of the meal, when the server came back to discuss everything, I mentioned that while I thought it was all far too rich, my husband did like it. The server responded by stating that I wasnt used to strong, bold flavours. I told her I had eaten bold flavours at lunch -- truffles! -- and that I am used to strong cheeses like the Comté. The problem was not the strength or boldness of the flavours, but the richness of the dishes. I could barely swallow any of it because it was so rich! Im sure she wasnt trying to insult me by saying that, but it put a damper on things for me anyway, because it felt like I was essentially told that I was wrong in not liking the food, that there was something wrong with my palette. Again, I dont think it was the intention, it probably just came out the wrong way. With regards to atmosphere, the tables were so close together that I felt like I had to whisper to prevent the tables beside us from hearing our entire conversation -- because I felt overwhelmed having to listen to two other conversations at once, since we could hear every word the people to either side of us were saying. And when the servers came to our tables, they were so close to each other that we had butts leaning on the edge of our table... Hard to avoid looking at during your meal. I didnt like how packed in we were at all. What I did love was that gratuities are included in prices, which means that servers earn at least regular minimum wage (not server wage!), if not a living wage. All restaurants should operate like this. Tipping should be abolished, and staff should be paid by the employer for doing their jobs, period. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options, and they are even listed separately on the menu for ease of reference.
Excellent restaurant, a dinner when you are in these parts is worth it Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
We reached out to inquire about accommodations for Celiac before making reservations and received a thorough, reassuring response. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant until we left, all staff were welcoming, knowledgable, friendly, and professional. With each course we were confident that every step had been taken to make sure that the food was safe. But above and beyond that, the food delivered in both appearance and taste. In particular, the Cookstown Cherry Tomatoes were a fresh, bright opening to the meal. Our table had a great view of the kitchen and it is evident that there is a team working cooperatively to deliver the best. Definitely planning to return! Dietary restrictions: Many items able to be made celiac safe. Staff are very knowledgable about cross contact and are accommodating.
Food, cocktails, and service were all fantastic. We had the asparagus soup, the Ontario tomatoes, Burger, and the Dark Chocolate Marquise.
Great experience! Food was amazing and the included gratuity is a sweet concept. Would recommend!
Great experience all the way around. The food was outstanding. I dont like tomatoes, but this place served me a tomato that I actually enjoyed. :-) The waitress Sena really brought the experience to another level. She was tentative, super polite, and described everything well. I would give her and this restaurant 100 stars if I could.
Food was great. Fresh and local.
We like the food (except the duck liver pate and the dessert), service was excellent.
We had a fantastic experience here whilst on holiday. Up there with the best meals we have ever had and for a reasonable price for the quality of the food. Beautiful combinations of flavours using the best ingredients. We loved it so much we are going again tonight before we head off to the next stop on our holiday. Food
Station Burger was phenomenal. Buns made in house. Meat was butchered in house. Spiced, marinated and cooked to perfection. Hands down best burger in Toronto. Service was amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel like youre in an exclusive restaurant that only the locals know about. 10/10
Amazing food and service! The Chickpea Panisse and Smoked Salmon Rillettes were fantastic to start. I had the Organic Chicken main and it was excellent. Definitely recommend and will be back!
We had a team dinner there and loved the place. It wasnt too loud so good to carry on a conversation. The serveuse is very friendly and attentive. The food is amazing - we tried all items under Share section and all items under Dessert section, plus a salad and a couple fries. They are all very unique and tasty. We didnt get a chance to take photos (but I am sure Google has enough on them). Oh, there is no tip in this place - included in the menu price. One might say it makes menu a bit pricy but you pay what you see and no pressure for tipping, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend.
Good food
Every aspect of our time here was amazing, from the food to the service, to the atmosphere. Delicious meals, great service. Best meal we have had out in a long time, by far the best meal we had on our trip to Toronto
the food is top notch. the drinks are creative and delicious. wonderful spot, highly recommend! service for the tasting menu was also great
Consistently amazing food, drinks & service. Best restaurant in Toronto!!! Dietary restrictions: Suckling pig was amazing as well as the crispy fried oyster mushrooms Food : 5/5 |
Exceptional service and food! I highly recommend it.
Ruben, was a great waiter and the food was amazing. Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Peanuts
Had the tasting menu with the beverage pairings. Just an unbelievably interesting and varied experience. Many different tastes, flavours. Fantastic service and attention to detail.
I love it. totally Recommended!
So good! Was looking for a special tasting menu experience and this was it! I looked through all options in Toronto and Richmond Station stood out for a locally sourced menu at a reasonable price for a fine dining experience with service included. I m happy to say the experience lived up to expectations - it was fantastic! And the Chef s Table was the best for dinner and a show if you are looking for more than just a conversation with the person/people you go with. The staff made for a special experience and had recommendations for other places to explore in the area. Highly recommend for a special occasion! Vegetarian options: Plenty! Dietary restrictions: Very willing and able to accommodate any and all dietary restrictions! When you make reservations, you can make detailed selections.
Its been quite some time since Ive experienced such a delicious, impeccably presented meal and unobtrusive, efficient service. From the accommodating host to the friendly and knowledgeable server (Reuben) to the helpful dining room manager and smiley food deliverers, it was as perfect as you could get and we were out in time for our show without being rushed. In summary, the food is thoughtfully and expertly created without being at all pretentious (weve all been to those restaurants...not fun). Everything we ordered was fresh, flavourful, filling and worth every penny! The dining room is intimate and elegant. I was worried about sitting at a two-top table quite close to other diners but I neednt have worried; you could delve into a personal conversation easily and not feel that you were imposing on or being imposed upon by the diners right beside you. I would definitely recommend Richmond Station and I will definitely return. Thank-you!
Excellent in all aspects
We eat here every time we visit Toronto. Consistently excellent in every way.
We have been thinking about trying this place for a long time, and finally got the chance. The food was quite good and had a lot of interesting flavours, but it wasn t super amazing, which is what I d expect for the price point. We tried the ala carte menu as we wanted to get more variety of dishes, but it had only limited options. Their set menu had more interesting options, but you could only pick one. Overall, quite good experience, but not really top notch.
Amazing food and expert service 5/5!
We had the tasting menu. For the price point, the food was good, presentation was great. Itd not be fair to expect fine dining experience at this price range, but the chef did his best. Our server (Anisa or Alisa) was wonderful and attentive. She even offered me different wines to try before ordering. However, the rhythm was not there for the service, and this has nothing to do with our server. The restaurant was packed so is the kitchen. We had to wait 15-20 mins between courses. The other thing I noticed is the sheer amount of plastic containers (for garnish, condiments, etc) used in the kitchen as we were sitting on the kitchen counter. Maybe I was too attentive this time as we had a lot of free time between courses :)
Had Father s Day Dinner for 6. We had our own private table, just tucked away in the corner. It was nice to have that intimate setting, granted it was originally for 9 ppl so it s nice to know you get that type of privacy for a huge gathering of friends or with family. With respect to the drinks and food my family and I thoroughly enjoyed all of our dishes top to bottom. Food tasted fresh didn t leave you feeling sluggish, portions were enough. Their Vegetarian and Vegan options were delicious as I stole some bites from my Wife. As for the dishes I m bad with names so I m just going to go ahead and give you the proteins. I had the Duck(Yum) and for starters the scallops(tastebud bonanza)Pops had the Pig(Oh yeah) but opened the stomach with the asparagus soup(light/flavorful) my Uncle hit the sea and went for the monkfish and said he d hook another one. The Mrs. Had the fried oyster mushrooms with cauliflower flower steak(a must) Mom dukes loved the stuffed pasta , My niece had the House Burger. I tried all of their dishes, just had to do it. You would too and should. Cocktails had us all in good spirits. We had four out of the five dessert options which was the perfect way to cap the night. Strawberry Chibout I believe was one of the names. Service was top notch from the host, main server, accompanied service. Cheers to the Chef and kitchen staff. Thank you Richmond Station as a collective for making this a memorable Father s Day.
Amazing food & service
Our server, Enisa, was exceptional. She made our dining experience not only enjoyable, but she was attentive, thorough and accommodating. I will definitely revisit Richmond Station, and hope that Enisa is present to guide me through the offerings once again.
Food and service were both excellent. The lunch menu is a bit small, but its still very good. The prices are high only because you do not have to pay gratuity/tips.
Absolutely fantastic!! Chef Hayden s special of the day duck fettuccine was lovely the duck mouse, best bite I ve had in a long time but the service was also exceptional! Enisa took special care of us from beginning to the end of this incredible experience and Brandon the manager was also so invested in making this dining experience memorable!! Thanks, we will be back!!!!
Fantastic Food & Service, love that this is a living wage restaurant which means the tip is included in the food prices! Ingredients were fresh and every dish was delicious! Highly recommend the station burger & duo of muscovy duck! Must try if you are in Toronto!
This is most definitely one of my top five restaurants in the city of Toronto. The service has always been absolutely outstanding and the food never disappoints. They have a beautifully curated seasonally rotating menu - farm to table style - and they also offer a delightful chefs tasting menu which is fabulous, as I love the Chefs in action. A must try in Toronto!
Excellent food matched only by excellent customer service. Every time Ive eaten here Ive been treated like bougouis without feeling pretentious.
We got the prix fixe menu for a special occasion. The amount and quality of food was excellent. There was a wide variety of meats and seafood and we were more than full by the end. The explanation for each menu item was a bit rushed however and the food was mostly just placed in front of you.
By far one of the best restaurants in Toronto
