Daddy s chicken is delicious. Very reasonably priced for insane flavour. The hot sandwich was amazing - as was the garlic parm corn! Wait time was well worth it for a fresh meal. Looking forward to the next visit - great job! Kid-friendliness: Cute spot for an elevated take on various fried chicken options and family friendly!

The buffalo chicken is a must. Would love if they used a potato or brioche bun - this would get a 10/5 if they boosted the bun. The chicken is sooo juicy and the buffalo sauce was full of flavour (made fresh in house!!)

One of the better, if not top three chicken sandwiches I have had in the city. Amazing staff and incredibly generous. They gave a buddy of mine a free sandwich because they saw he wasn t eating with our group. Fresh, delicious, and great atmosphere.

$21 for a mid sandwich and a really small portion of fries. Came here excited because of the good reviews but I left disappointed

In the interest of transparency one of the business owners is a customer of mine at my place of business. However, if I didnt like what I got from the restaurant I would have told them in person the next time they were by and not on this platform. Im particular about my chicken sandwiches and fried chicken, so I got the basic sandwich and a chicken dinner combo for lunches for the rest of the week. The sandwich was very good, a chicken first taste not dominated by sauce or slaw. The chicken in the combo was very juicy and tasty as well. I have a regular spot closer to home that I visit every week, ritualistically, but I can see myself ordering from here at least once a month to support my customer like they support my business. Id like to try the other sandwiches they have on the menu.

Wow!! Probably one of the best takeout meals we have had in a long time! If you are gluten free or vegetarian you will be in heaven! 10/10 would recommend!

Chicken sandwich was slimy and falling apart and tasted raw. Both myself and wife after we left from sitting to eat. We re both in the bathroom. We will surely not be a returning customer. The chicken was fatty. No flavour and not fully cooked. For $40 for two sandwiches and drinks. There s better options.

We have ordered takeout from Daddys chicken several times. The quality and taste has always been consistent. The portions are generous and very juicy. The sandwiches are so good. We once ordered 30 pieces for a party and by the end of the night, we only had 1 piece left because the pieces were so large some people had to share to finish 1. Whenever we picked up the staff was always friendly and we are always guaranteed pipping hot and juicy chicken.

Unfortunately my review isn t as good as the one below. The owner reeks on everyone who leaves a bad review I noticed. It s embarrassing. Recently visited well out with my kids. Meat was very wet and not fully cooked. We didn t complete our meals. Please don t grab down my review as you are with others. People are allowed to vocal themselves. How about striving for better cooking / conditions

Best fried chicken in town...juicy, crispy and spicy!

I walked by it a bunch and was curious, but had this gnarly chicken. Fully bloody and with like chunky blood. I went back and they gave me new stuff but I couldn t really eat it, but they insisted they had a timer. But dude just look at it, like you can time something if you re blind but if something doesn t look right , don t serve it. They insisted I was not right. But just look at the chicken. Dude gross. Use your eyes when serving, no excuses.

The fried chicken is made fresh to order and is extremely delicious and reasonably priced. The original sandwich is tremendous value at approx $12, also made fresh to order.

I ve tried many fried chicken sandwiches across Toronto, and the World, and this has to be one, if not THE best I ve ever had. Daddy s has achieved fried chicken sandwich perfection. The meat is crispy and juicy, portions are generous, the homemade sauces excellent, the brioche buns you get the picture. If you re looking for fried chicken in Riverdale, look no further.

Delicious! Best chicken Sammie anywhere! Get the classic big one! Its huge! Juicy, crispy, coleslaw adds sweet balance, pickles add cold sour crunch, bun is soft and holds together but the star of the show is the crispy hot thick juicy chicken! Only thing wrong for me is that the table top heights are too low, and a bit uncomfortable. Also bought chicken strips to go for a snack later...also delicious with very tasty sauce (forgot which flavour I got but it was delicious too)

Ordered take out on what was a slow, weekday evening. We were literally the only clients in the restaurant at the time. Order took 20 + mins anyway. Whats worse, is that the two workers on staff bickered with each other throughout my stay. Complete with insults hurled and multiple attempts to rope us into their argument. It was the most unprofessional conduct I ve seen at any restaurant in Toronto. Given the many positive reviews, I had hoped the food would be the saving grace. But it simply wasn t. It was all size and no flavor. Deeply disappointed.

This is the best chicken sandwich Ive had in a long time! Got the spicy classic. French fries were delicious and enough for two people. Definitely coming back Update: had just the chicken this time around and it was good but the sandwiches are way better. Get a sandwich!

CELIAC SAFE! This place is such a gem. The chicken is addictingly good. I ve had most of the menu items and they re all fantastic. We were walking down Queens street and it looked so yummy so we tried the original chicken standwich. It was very crispy and it had a good flavor, we will try more flavors.

First timer today. I got the classic sandwich with a side of onion rings. It was a very generous portion, the chicken was cooked perfectly. The breading was nice and crispy. I really like the coleslaw and pickle on top. The bun was also nice, and held up during the whole meal (nothing bothers me more than when a sandwich can t make it through more than two bites) Also very good, nice thin Very good taste. Dietary restrictions: I know they offer a gluten-free bun, which I did not get, but it is nice to know for my coeliac friends, and I think there might be perhaps a dairy free or a vegetarian or vegan option on the menu but I m not 100% sure on that. to be honest, I didn t go to Daddy s Chicken to not have Daddy s Chicken.

I did a Door Dash order so I cant comment on atmosphere but their classic fried chicken sandwich and fried chicken made this my new spot. Ive tried most of the local fried chicken places and the taste, quality and quantity from Daddys Chicken is by far my new favourite.

Got the classic chicken sandwich and fries and it was everything I wanted. The sandwich was massive - twice the size you would get at a chain and well seasoned. Fries were salty and Crispy. Will be back!

We went on a Friday night. It was super busy but the staff was great! The service was awesome. Naomi was super nice. She recommended the big daddy sandwich , it was very delicious. Even with the busy rush the chef Chester made sure our food was cooked to perfection and even threw in fries for the little one. Overall such a great experience! Definitely going back!

Needed something just right to hit the spot and that they did at Daddies Chicken! After a long 12 hour day at work, it was nice to be received with a genuine welcoming smile, someone to walk you through their menu, and obviously. . . GOOD FOOD!!! . The hours are great compared to other similar options in the area. The smaller menu makes ordering much less complete! We are new customers, and for sure we will now also be return customers! Daddys Chicken is hands down one of my top 5 places to eat in Leslieville! Daddys Chicken does fried chicken VERY well with the perfect blend of crispy & juiciness. They have GREAT value for their serving sizes & quality. Id definitely come here over the KFC down the street. The staff att Daddys Chicken are a BIG reason as to why Im leaving such a glowing review! Everyone Ive encountered behind the counter are super friendly & down to earth, making coming back a delight! I love that Daddys Chicken also has dehydrated chicken strips for pets who not only stop by but are also available for sale to take home. I must also say, the onion rings are chefs kiss perfect Vegetarian options: I love that Daddys Chicken has meatless chicken options for their sandwiches & chicken fingers. Unfortunately, they do not have a vegetarian option for their poutine gravy or bacon in the Sugar Daddy Sandwich.

Really disappointed after reading these positive reviews. I arrive at 6:15 and theres only one other customer in there whos already eating when I order my very basic chicken sandwich. Not sure whats going on, but it looked like there was some chaos behind the counter with the cook expediting orders at the front and everyone who was working when I arrived had seemingly cleared out. 25 minutes later I finally get my sandwich (yes, I was showing some exasperation), and the dude behind the counter has the nerve to say only 15 minutes. Not quite, chief. Ok but what about food? A dry flavourless fried chicken sandwich on what tasted like a Dempsters hamburger bun. Only positive was the volume of chicken. First time and last time for me. Appreciate your response and truly hope that your colleague is feeling better now. Its great that you care about your staff, but keep in mind that as customers we were in the dark and it all could have been handled by someone simply explaining the situation to us. Any delays or issues would have been completely understandable at that point.

Spicy chicken sandwich is great, the bun is awesome. I love their pickles and coleslaw. Chicken is perfect and crispy. And their spicy sauce IS ACTUALLY SUPER SPICY which is amazing. In Toronto we dont really get to have spicy things, so its just great all around.

I have had most items on the menu. The hot hot sandwich is my favourite (it s very hot!). The lime aioli gives a really nice unexpected depth to the tanginess. Great bun. Love the onion rings. The wings are big, juicy and crispy . Big fan.

Avoid at all costs. If you see a fried chicken place inbetween Daves n KFC, youd think its cause they have something special to offer... Hell no.. The most basic recipe with even poorer execution. I wish I could love this place, and the only reason I m giving it 1 star is because the food is good. The service is absent at best. I ve ordered from here at least a dozen times and every single time there is an issue with the order. From not including what I ve paid for from toppings to sauces, to making hot when I asked for normal, to stating the order will be ready in 6 minutes to me and my partner waiting around an additional 20 minutes past the time stated that our order would be ready. The timeline isn t even a demand on Uber Eats, this is directly from their own website. I want to order local, but every single time I order from them it becomes more and more difficult to justify. Please do better. The food is amazing though, best chicken sandwich I ve ever had!

I ve had a lot of fried chicken sandwiches across the GTA and this is hands down the best fried chicken sandwich in the city, no close second. Had the hot chicken sandwich and fries, and for the price you get a massive sandwich, seriously not sure where they get chicken thighs that big! The food came out hot and crispy, the sandwich was pretty spicy, just spicy enough to get you sweating but wanting more with every bite. The cabbage coleslaw and fried pickles cut through the spice and oil perfectly, and the fries were hot and crispy. Be prepared to wait a bit if it s a busy night with lots of mobile orders, but it s so so worth it. Will definitely be going back.

I had the OG chicken sandwich and the fried chicken. The meat was soft and juicy. The difference was in the batter and the crunch. The burger chicken batter was think and hard. I liked it. It is not a flakey crunch like ones in KFC or other fried chicken place. It is a smooth crust with a hard crunch. Good. The fried chicken had slightly thinner batter than the sandwich chicken, but was equally yummy. This is a very good place to have fried chicken.

Perhaps I was unlucky on my first time here but it was below expectations considering the price and the good reviews: 5 pieces of chicken were dry / over fried, poutine was tasteless and barely had any gravy, and fries were saggy and also had no spices or salt. Portions size are good. It was a takeout, maybe I need to give it another try down the road...

Saw the glowing reviews of the place and figured it was a must try. Ordered 15 pieces for a family get together and had to wait 30 minutes for my order. Pieces were surprisingly large. Meat was pretty juicy and skin was crispy, however, it all lacked flavour. Overall, it was not worth the price.

This chicken was fantastic! The food scene in Lesliville is ultra competitive, and Daddys Chicken is a high-end option. A clear step up on the local chains and Korean Fried chicken joints!

I m from the southern US so I ve had my fair share and this is the best fried chicken I ve ever had. My daughter made us go back 2 days in a row because she was hooked. The cole slaw was equally fantastic and the owner is a gem. Can t wait to come back to town to enjoy it again. Get you some! Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved it even more than I did.

This place was amazing, we went on a less busy day with the dog and ordered and waited outside. who I think was the owner was super friendly and came out to ask if he could give him treats and water. The wait was longer than expected, turns out it was a mix up in the kitchen and so we were brought cider on the house. Staff were super kind and when the food did come, it was great. Chicken was amazing and not dry, but also not oily. Would go back

Overall amazing experience! Came by looking for something quick to eat before a drive home. During the brief wait Naomi made it feel like it flew by she was very friendly and welcoming - it felt like a family she even pointed out to Chester and Igor at the back who gave a wave and hello while they were prepping my food. The music was banging, and staff were super cool, so I put it on my list to return to. Yesterday I ordered a hot hot chicken sandwich for pick up and it was ready when I arrived. Everything is made to order so expect a wait, but the trade off is you receive a fresh and perfect fried chicken sandwich. It s easily the best fried chicken sandwich in the city. It s massive, filling, crispy- and any other adjective you would want used to describe an incredible sandwich! I definitely recommend, especially when you want that fried chicken fix. I wish a had a photo but I took a bite before I even had the chance. Perfect score!

Had a mixup. It was frustrating. They were apologetic as it was a technical issue that did not submit our order. They made it right and I provided honest feedback re the food and experience. Chicken is super crunchy, fresh and tastes great. I wish them the best of success and will be back when I have a hankering for fried chicken. Me and my friend, took the time to finally eat at the place that we ve wanted to try for awhile now. Boy, were we up for a surprise, this place was amazing. Food (5/5): I got the order of the chicken BLT sandwich, and man that was something. Each bite got better and better, and the size of the sandwich can fill you up just by itself. The fries was so good, crispy goodness and the amount you get is worth the get. Service (5/5): The service was impeccable, the lady gave a great intro and recommendations for first-timers on what to get and what type of orders you can do, etc. She was so nice and made you feel comfortable and excited for the food and to enlighten your mood. Atmosphere (4/5): the atmosphere was amazing, the music was great and the place had a good space and seats (they even have outdoor seatings). So why did it get a 4-star, the only problem I had was the seats were so close to the table that you needed to slide your legs under the table before sitting down because of the small space of fitting in. Other than that, the place is great for dining in and having an enjoyable experience!

By far, the best fried chicken in the city, especially the sandwiches. The fries are cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of crispiness, and not too salty either. The mac n cheese is yummy, and so are the onion rings. They also sell beer, which goes down very well with the meal. Thanks Daddy! You ll see me again soon.

Have been searching for Gluten Free fried chicken for ages and we are PUMPED to discover this place! We had a gluten free 3 piece chicken, fries and a spicy gluten free chicken sandwich. It was incredible! The chicken is crispy, juicy and flavourful! No reactions gluten wise for us, but they do have flour in the chicken so at your own risk, though I read they use a separate fryer! We ordered through Uber and the fries weren t soggy at all! The gluten free bun was above average for a gluten free bun (iykyk) but still crumbled a bit. Didn t take away from the amazing sandwich though! Incredible food. We will be back! With more gluten free friends in Tow.

I went here with my boyfriend two weeks ago. The staff was super friendly and nice. However, when I tried my burger, the chicken was raw. I thought it was just one part of it but after I took another bite I found out that the chicken was completely pink inside. I was very disappointed with my experience because for a $12 dollar burger, this is very unacceptable. we let the cashier know and they offered to make another one and was very nice about it. After my boyfriend tried his burger, his burger was also raw and you could feel that the chicken was completely uncooked and looked pink. Overall, I think they should make sure to use smaller pieces of chicken or make sure the big pieces are cooked fully.

Weve been fans since they opened! Definitely the best fried chicken weve found in the east end. Nicest people, too! Highly recommend.

This is the best chicken sandwich I ve ever had. The bun is soft and fresh. The chicken is juicy and crispy. The coleslaw on the sandwich hits the spot. I like the hot (spicy) sandwich. The onion rings are are my secret obsession. Vegetarian options: They ve got a gluten-free sandwich done in a gluten-free fryer. Brilliant.

Delicious fried chicken from very kind people, we re thrilled to have them in the neighbourhood. We always order the 10 piece and it comes with a generous amount of breasts, I mean imagine that, it s unheard of! It s also nice to see vegetarian options. We ve been coming here once a week, it s our weekly treat, highly recommend!

Worst experience ever, only one chef in the kitchen and doesn t even know how to handle the situation when gets a lot of orders. Poor management and stuff. Not recommended at all. Food

Today I had the best chicken sandwich from Daddys Chicken!! Huge Crispy juicy tasty tangy crunchy Mmm!! Amazing and generous sides making it a generous and yummy meal! I think its going to be an obsession... Definitely adding it to my list for a great take out chicken meal!!

I m from the Scarborough area but came across Daddy s Chicken after my appointment on Queen St. I ve never heard of this place before and assumed it was like any basic fast food restaurant. I nearly fainted after receiving my order, not expecting to get that big of a portion size which was AWESOME. Everything tasted amazing and was cooked so well; clearly the owner and cooks know what they re doing. Yes it seems pricey at first but you re paying for QUALITY and QUANTITY and it s worth every penny. Naomi the cashier was an absolute doll and recommended different dishes I should try. Will def be coming back!

The place serves some great food all chicken options and everything is one better than the other, really affordable with great amount and really fresh and delicious. I d highly recommend this place if you re truly hungry for good fried food

Had the hot chicken sandwich and fries. Wow, pretty good. Service was over 20 minutes but it was an impulse visit. Ill try to order ahead next time.
