My favorite location! Always have a great experience and the food is always so yummyyy. Mali was very kind and provided great service. Definitely will be back soon!

Showed up 30 mins before closing which I know can be annoying but there s no need for the attitude I received from the chubby Filipino girl at the counter. Walked in with my sister and all we were greeted with is the sound of her kissing her teeth. About 5 mins later a couple walk in, greeted with the exact same thing. She was very rude and also the food was not good. Fries were extremely cold and old. Which I assumed was because it was end of the night. The next week I come around 5pm. Food was also cold and not good. Tastes nothing like the other locations for some reason. I recommend people stay away from this location.

Our family went here for the first time and everything was really good. The employee who helped us, Mali was such an amazing person. Very hospitable, customer service skills were top notch and Ive worked in customer service for 20+ years. He made us feel welcome and was just genuinely so nice. Food was fantastic, not one of us had anything bad to say. Clean tasting, not greasy and that Daves sauce is soooo good!! Thank you! Definitely will be returning!

The size of their chicken tender varies significantly which truly affects the taste. Small thin tenders taste just crispy. I m hoping this was a one off experience and they go back to big juicy chicken breasts.

This place will be my favourite fried chicken spot forever. The quality of their food is amazing it s fresh and it test s amazing. Also their customer service was was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

The kitchen workers laugh hysterically and joke around while preparing your food. They shout, laugh and talk right over the food they are preparing its quite disgusting to watch. I didnt even want to take a bite of my food given how much spit is probably in it from their unhygenic and unprofessional behaviour. The dining areas are also dirty and smell like settled dirt when you walk in. There are take out boxes everywhere on the tables and the bathroom smells awful. The urinals smell like they havent been cleaned in a long time.

I had a great time at Daves Hot Chicken! The food was super tasty, and Thomas made my visit even better with his friendly service. He was really helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. I definitely recommend checking it out!

I took my kids and I to Dave s Hot Chicken last night for dinner. We were served by the loveliest gentleman, Mali. Service was incredible !!! I was given recommendations on what to order that were extremely helpful. Food was amazing. Clean and comfortable atmosphere. My kids and I felt so welcomed and cannot wait to return!

Firstly, as a family of 4 we headed to have a first great time enjoying 4 combos when asked to get all spicy, and the cashier who gave all 4 combos as mild and all burned. After noticing that, we took all the combos back for a change, when suddenly the cashier at the front gave an atitude saying if you want the food have it, if you dont want then we cant do nothing you will have to give daves hot chicken a review on the website. After hearing that, we all just left and didnt argue more since it wont make a change either way. I am very disappointed with the staff because of there performance and atitude which took them so long for the orders and the way they treated us that night. All i want is a solution, and to clarify once more we went as a family of 4 and got 4 combos which were supposed to be all spicy, but it didnt turn that way.! I want a solution asap.!!!!!!!!

Ambience is too good and customer service is on top. Mainly I wanted to mention a guy name Shahbaaz is best at his job. His customer service and presentation is so cool.

ADDICTING FLAVOUR! Not sure if it s cause I came at a slower time but the service was very fast without comprising flavour and freshness. You know those ones where the steam is coming out of the food?? Portion was on point as well as price. Taste was addicting and makes you want more. I could probably body 10 of these easy.

I recently tried Daves Hot Chicken, and I have to say, their chicken is really something special. The crunch is perfect, and the seasoning packs just the right amount of flavor. It s OK. Decent food; nothing wrong with it per se. Just no WOW factor on that initial bite. Ordered the tenders combo (medium heat level). The tenders are big, served with crinkle fries, bread, pickles, Dave s sauce. While it got the job done, I can t say there was any above-average flavour profile worth going out of your way. There was only one cashier who looked overwhelmed, hence the 3 on Service. Atmosphere was good.

Visited on a Tuesday evening. The product is always great: well seasoned crinkle fries, delicious fried chicken sliders with addictive Dave s sauce. Mali took and prepared our orders and he was incredibly friendly and attentive. Thanks Mali! Only thing I would recommend is perhaps one more set of hands given the fact that they are quite busy with take out and dine in orders.

Food is fine but disappointed that the service was slow and for some reason pricing is different on line vs in store. I ordered on the ttc and when I arrived 2 minutes later I saw it was less in store. That s just wrong. It s not a lot of $, but the principle is quite annoying. Of course the store staff couldn t explain why. Would have taken the same amount of time if I ordered at the store. Follow up - I filled out what they asked me to fill out so they could make it right as per the feedback below from the restaurant. It s a survey! Takes a few minutes and here s what they send back in response. Not sure why they say contact them to make things right other than to try and look good to people who read reviews. June 10th 2024- after eating here 3 times in the last 3/4 weeks(I m working in the area) looks like Dave Hot Chicken is going back to its old ways of bad service, long waits for cold food. What happened?? Went today for the third time hoping it still would be good NOPE, I waits 7-8 mins for them to cook fresh chicken, no problem I m fine with that, but then you gave me a small portion of old stone cold fires?? To top it off the chicken was 50% breading, and fatty slime! Why if you re cooking my chicken to order can t you cook the fries to order as well? If I m paying $20 for 2 tenders and some fires can t you make it hot and fresh and a decent proportion? This isn t rocket science. Wow Dave s what s going on? You re in a great location you did and could have a great food/product but seem to fail way more often than not, none of your other locations fail like this location does (+1 for atmosphere cuz the floor isn t as slippery as if was.) Tasty food but overpriced

Shahbaz was my guy at the cash register, he was nice, efficient and super chill. I got a slider, tender and the cheese fries which was the good combination. I should have gotten the shake, I regret not getting one. Its a good option if you want to eat something quick because your order is going to be prepared really fast. Compare to others, this is definitely one of the best place to enjoy your meal.

Food was good, but definitely not as it was when this location first opened years ago. My wife and I decided to make the drive from Ajax to revisit this restaurant and we both noticed the food did not hit like it did a couple years ago. It was still good, but we both noticed a drop in quality as well as vibe. When we first went, it was hard to find a place to sit on a Thursday afternoon. This time we went, we were the only ones on a Friday afternoon. The staff behind the counter were super polite and helpful, but I hope to revisit one day and find it to be as it once was.

Food was great. 2 slider combo for 2 regular people was just enough. Food was fresh and flavorful. Simple, well balanced textures and flavors. Soft bun, pickle, crispy/juicy chicken. Hot chicken was hot, with lots of chili powder in the batter, possibly dusted on after. Medium was great too but didnt make me sweat, which may be your speed. Fries were excellent, crunchy curly cut. Lots of attention to detail in the prep which is interesting. A good balance to Torontos szechuan/Japanese/southern queen west spicy umami bombs. What a time to be alive!

Ordered 2 sliders and fries, the quality was extremely bad. The quantity was lesser, no sauce or coleslaw was added. Such a ripoff

Went after hearing hype on social media. Got slider, tender and fries through doordash. Got there within 4 minutes of order everything was cold and chewy. Taste would have been OK I guess if food was even warm. Fries, tender and burger looked like was sitting for a while, hard to chew, so disappointed, I so wanted it to live the hype. Quantity also smaller side for the cost. Chicken tasted like cold pakodas :(

I recently visited daves hot chicken and had a good experience. I ordered a tender, a slider, and fries with cheese, and all were delicious. The hospitality at Daves was outstanding. The friendly and attentive staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Worth every money you spent :)

I ve gotten Dave s a few times from their various locations and I have to say, the LV location has got to be the best! From their amazing customer service to the warm and inviting atmosphere, they truly care about their customers and the food! I had the number 3 slider with mac and cheese and it was seasoned to perfection! The worker there, Molli I think? Did an amazing job from the moment I walked in. The Mac and cheese was made fresh (I had to wait for about 3 minutes)so I enjoyed every bit of it! Highly recommend!

It was my first time trying daves hot chicken in Canada today . The food was amazing as usual, but the service was terrible. The guy taking the order Patrick , he said he s the manager and still was scrolling and typing on his phone while taking my order and had to repeat it twice. It felt as if I m getting the food for charity or so. Except the bad service. The decor and food was 5/5. I hope the service gets better.

My niece mistakenly ordered burgers, but I thought she had ordered tenders. The staff informed me it was a burger, but I was certain I had ordered tenders. Then, the manager arrived and showed me the receipt. I think her name was uzma, she was so humble and sweet that she offered to redo my order. I absolutely love the place, and the manager appeared to be very friendly and accommodating.

Not something I would go out of my way for. The floors are so greasy, you re practically skating the moment you step in the door. Portions are quite small for the price. Sauce is like a typical mayo, ketchup, relish combo taste, nothing out of ordinary. I do have to give them credit for the flavour though. The seasoning on the chicken and fries were done right.

This is my 2nd time getting food from Daves Hot Chicken. This locations food was worse than the first. Waited almost 15 mins for Daves Poutine. It was cold, crunchy fries that tasted like they were sitting in oil or refried. Chicken strip was barely warm. I gave this company a 2nd chance, thinking, maybe it was the 1st location; but this location was straight garbage. Literally. 15 minutes for cold food.

Over rated. Pricey. Flavour is okay. Floors feel like they are cleaned with grease from the fryer, super slippery. Food : 3/5

Dave s hot chicken is my go-to spot. I typically go to the Queen st location but happened to be in the area. The quality of the food is always exceptional. My chicken was steaming hot (literally), just how I like it. Dave s do not mess around with their spice. Order at your own risk. I ve tried medium, hot and extra hot spice. My go-to order is the #3: slider with a chicken tender. You can order different spice level for each item. 10/10 would recommend

Dave s is on the decline. Their fries have changed from fresh, thick, and lightly seasoned, to these sad little potato scraps. Stale, cold, and BARELY any flavour at all. The small piece of chicken that comes in the slider has gotten SMALLER! They charge $15 for a slider and fries, but the amount of food is so small I would call this a snack not a meal. A few months ago this was my favourite lunch. Now I m not sure if I will even come back. Please turn things around Dave s Hot Chicken!

Best fried chicken in town

I give it 4 stars just because of the price. It is so rudely expensive. Unbelievable. Their overpriced combos doesnt even include a drink or cheese on a sandwich. There is no McDonalds or Popeyes close by so there is no competition. Chicken itself is good. No complaints about food quality itself. Not coming back, thats for sure.

I love dave s. My favourite chicken place bc they have the crispiest chicken and but their fries is what sets them apart. For some reason this location did not serve the original fries that other locations serve, absolute terrible fries like cheap supermarket ones.

Is Dave hot chicken halal in Canada?

Definitely disappointed with the foods. We paid 48 dollars for such little food ( two sliders with fries and two tenders with fries). Was a total rip off. The portion is definitely way too small and they barely gave any fries. The fries weren t that good anyway tasted extremely oily and old. This combo didn t even come with a drink !! Had to buy that seperate my. The chicken was just okay without the sauce it would ve been really bad. I couldn t help but compare to Juicy Birds which is similar to this on the Danforth and is far superior to this, food at juicy birds is much better and they also give way more food for the cost. Never again going back not worth the price.

THE AUDACITY to charge for extra sauce when it s not even full. The sauce isnt even filled up halfway. Good customer service though.

Fries were cold and soggy. Coleslaw was tired and limp. Chicken was decent. Hot is hot and Reaper has the potential to kill. Might be a good idea to wear a heart rate monitor and keep an eye on your levels the more you eat.

Got light and medium spice sliders. Found the chicken waaayyy salty with little flavour other than the pickle. Heat but only minor spice and compared to most of the other local places a flop. Mac was fine. 21 bucks for 2 dry rub oversized salty chicken tenders on slider buns with pickle and a cheap tasting chipotle tartar sauce is just not worth the cost.

Ordered 3 sliders from here, and it was cold and terribly made. Have ordered previously from a different location, and their spice level is apt. This particular location tries to cut corners by making all the sliders the same spice. Ordered extreme hot and medium and it was the SAME!! Waste of money.

I ordered a single meal for 3 people, I thought we were supposed to get their seasoned fries, what a let down! We got these small tasteless fries, that by itself turned us off of Daves Hot Chicken, we will never be back for they cheated us on the fries!
