Came in to order some chicken, poutine & a spicy big Mary sandwich. Everything was amazing- I was especially looking forward for the big Mary because it’s my favourite and I was excited for my bf to try.. but there was barely any sauce and the chicken in the sandwich was super overcooked and dry 😭😭 it’s usually perfectly deep fried and juicy but it felt like as if it was forgotten in the fryer for a while. Really disappointed.
Celebrating National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day at Mary Brown’s was a treat, especially with the fantastic lineup of sandwiches available. The Dufferin location had a welcoming, casual vibe, with ample seating and free parking, making it easy to drop by and dig in. Ordering was quick, and the value of $6 for a sandwich and drink was a definite plus. Here’s a rundown of each sandwich I tried. Big Mary: The classic Big Mary is always a solid choice. The breaded chicken breast was juicy and perfectly seasoned, nestled between a soft bun with fresh lettuce and creamy mayo. One fun twist—Mary Brown’s places a pickle slice on top of the bun, which I added inside, thinking it belonged there. Buffalo Mary Sandwich: If you’re looking for a kick, the Buffalo Mary is a great option. The crispy chicken breast is coated in tangy buffalo sauce, with mayo to balance the heat. The combination of the breaded chicken and buffalo sauce brought a nice zip of spice, though it was subtle enough for those who prefer a milder bite. Spicy Big Mary: My favourite of the day, the Spicy Big Mary took the original up a notch with spicy mayo and a generous helping of pickles. The spiciness of the mayo balanced beautifully with the tender chicken and crunchy pickles, adding an extra layer of boldness to each bite. It was the perfect mix of heat and tang. With quick service, a satisfying lineup, and great value, I’d definitely come back for the Spicy Big Mary or another round of these flavourful chicken sandwiches!
I ordered via skip the dishes. Rotten lettuce was a niche I needed the most. I had to throw it out, hold myself not to puke. The only thing they did not mess up was diet Pepsi. Never again.
This location is very clean and the staff is very nice and friendly. I recommend choosing this location. Enjoy.

I have never been to a better Mary Browns in my life. They had ac. They had a nice cashier. And the food was bussin. There’s a Mary browns near my home but this one’s way better. Please go for yourself and experience it.
I've been to about 10 Mary Brown's in southern Ontario, and this is my favorite: good, fresh food, and best service, and they have 3 people in the kitchen, for faster service. Only suggestions: as is becoming common in all restaurants, there is not enough salt in fries and taters, and you have to beg for the extra salt packets, and when we went, they did not have any fruit flavored pop, which is a staple of Newfoundland Mary Brown's.
Not bad. Nothing spectacular about this fast food chain. You will find private eateries and takeout a much better chicken. 2024-07 I picked up a batter box of 6pc chicken, the chicken is still nothing of a special entry so does the gravy. The hand cut in store potatoes were cut terribly like what’s wrong with using those manual machines and that way it would come more uniform, there were about 7 person on duty during this time and this particular place wasn’t so busy all the times even lunch so there shouldn’t be a reason why you couldn’t make a more acceptable potato cuts. We’ve visited this particular MB few times between this edit and my first review and I think I’ve given you enough tries to ever come back again and spend a buck.

Breading is easy to get right, though. What about the actual chicken filling? Home run. Like, my first bite was so similar to what I remember the real thing tasting like that I actually got a little grossed out for a second, forgetting I wasn t chewing actual animal meat . There s a real endorsement of their authenticity for you! The texture and mouthfeel are spot-on: a little juicy, a little tender, a little chewy. The taste is enjoyable in an unremarkable kind of way. It s mild, yummy, fatty, inoffensive, a little salty, chicken-y but not CHICKEN-Y. Overall, these wings are hard not to like, easy to keep popping, and begging to be dunked in ketchup or slathered in sriracha. Big Mary is an ok chicken sandwich.
My daughter got food poisoning here. Chicken tenders eaten and 2 hours later was violently sick for 48 hours. Please do not eat here.
Waste of time and money
Unfortunately, I experienced a breach of my personal information through the Mary Browns app and as a result, unauthorized use of my credit card took place as well as my email account being spoofed. When I called this location to make them aware of the situation, as the order was sent to this store, the employee told me theres nothing he could do and that the food was sent out with the driver. This was clearly a lie as I was tracking the order and it was still being made and hadnt been picked up by Uber at that time. He then proceeded to tell me to call my bank for a refund, then later told me to contact the police. His only concern was completing the sale and not being inconvenienced. When communicating the fraud that had taken place, I was completely disregarded and had to take matters into my own hands, by contacting the driver myself. There was no need to attempt to complete the delivery order, when I clearly stated that I did not place nor authorize the order that was under my name. It was MY account and I DID NOT authorize the transaction, end of story!!!

The place was clean, friendly staff. We had the spicy chicken with Taters. The chicken was one of the best fried chicken Ive had in Canada.

I place and order waited for 1an 30 mins still aint get my order I call the store an ask why is it not send out as yet an I being waiting for so long an the app saying its on its way the store saying its still here I say cancel the order I come an collect my money the guy hang up in my ears I call back get a different person I say I want to talk to the manager they hang up in my ears as well this location has no manners I would never do business with this location again

The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the food. Each dish was bursting with flavour and clearly prepared with the freshest ingredients. I tried the chicken wings and popcorn, which were cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of spices and textures.
