2425 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M4P 2E7, Canada
Casual Pan Asian eatery serving classic dim sum dishes plus a variety of fusion sharing plates.
The food was overall yummy. We had the Peking duck. They also gave us a roll I think of crunchy spicy salmon sushi which was really nice of them and that tasted good as well. We heard that the duck was tableside service but it wasn’t, and it also looked a bit old so we were kind of skeptical but it tasted good. Otherwise the staff were really nice and the price is pretty cheap.
The food here is good! I love the tofu and dim sum! Julia is the best! She is so friendly and lovely. We also got complimentary ice cream. I have no complaints about my visit. We will definitely come back!
I recently ordered from a sushi restaurant via Uber Eats and I was pleased to find that they offer a good portion size and a variety of options on their menu. However, I encountered a couple of issues with my order. Firstly, the size of the salmon on the roll was much smaller than what was depicted in the restaurant's pictures, which was quite misleading. Also, the quality of the rice did not meet my expectations; it was excessively sticky, which negatively affected the overall enjoyment of the meal. While I appreciated the portion size and menu variety, these aspects of the food quality were disappointing.
The food was pretty good, dim sum was excellent and I really liked fried beans even though it wasn’t crispy as I expected. Sweet and sour chicken felt overly sweet, but it might be cause it got cold🤷🏻♀️ Overall good experience and food, decent customer service, however it was a bit chilly inside and felt like food got cold quicker. Oh also they charge for person for tea, which seems a little weird, like small glass of tea is 2$, but I think if you get a pot it’s free refill.
Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. Was planning on getting dim sun but their lunch combos seemed like a great deal so tried that instead. We got the lemon fish and cashew chili beef - both dishes were delicious! They came with rice, soup, and a spring roll. For $14-$16, it’s a great price for a good amount of food. Would recommend.
I was close by, I felt like Chinese food and saw a lot of great reviews so I decided to give them a try. There was a lot of food but very little meat. We ordered a few dishes and it was all very forgettable. Mind you we did get take out and it might have been better if we sat down instead. If I decide to give it another try and I feel different then I'll update my rating.
I've been here a few times since i work in the area. Severely under-staffed like most place during this pandemic, understandably. For the food, I'll say they're good but not great. I ordered wonton noodle on my first visit and what i got i definitely not what you would call "Wonton noodle" with white pho noodle and mushroom. Their braised beef noodle is ok. Tried the soup dumpling and the wrapper was so thick, decent flavor. Overall nothing outstanding.
We celebrated my dad's birthday. He absolutely loves this place for the customer service, the quality of the food and the great prices! If you want the duck, make sure enough order a few days ahead to let them know!! It is so moist and delicious. It even comes with duck skin!!! It is crunchy and flavourful. The soft shell friend rice is soo crabby! Sometimes when you order it at other places, there isn't enough crab and here it has so much!! You will love it! The drunken shrimp was served with scallion onion cake underneath! Must try! We tried most of the dim sum items and more of the menu. You all need to try Chi! The food is so good!
Subpar Chinese food, but its the only one in the area. So, if you need to get your fix, and dont wanna travel further north, then this is passable. Does not hold a candle to any Chinese place in Markham/Richmond Hill. And overpriced too. This place has gotten worse since the last year. -Sushi rice was too mushy. -Had the beef noodle soup and Cantonese Chow Mein and was left feeling dehydrated for days due to the overuse of MSG. -Green onion pancake was hard like a biscuit instead of being soft and flaky.
Take out.. Dim Sum... no dont do it. Not sure how this place is anywhere close to 4 stars. Food
a very generous 3 stars. ordered the soup dumplings, chow mein, and crispy beef lunch specials. Lunch special came with soup, we chose hot & sour, and because we spent over $25 it also came with a free dragon roll. dragon roll was OK. service was good but food sadly was not. would not come back.
While it still may be the second best Chinese food spot in Eglinton Yonge after Mandarin, its quality just cannot compare with those that are in North York or Downtown. Id say its still a casual place you may go if you are not into travelling long distance, but you will be much better off if you go elsewhere.
Awful awful dim sum. Really just the worst dim sum Ive ever had. The people were nice. They offered a discount for how horrible the meal was, which they didnt need to do. So points on that side, but this was truly terrible dim sum.
The food tastes like what you might get from a fast food place. Just a place to get some quick-serve sustenance. The table service was inattentive and some of the tableware was dirty. There are better options in the area. Food : 1/5
RUN don t walk to get here. Yes I know the menu is vast but literally everything is delicious here and it is just incredible value. 25% off everything on the menu between 2 and 5 pm. Honestly, it s getting harder and harder to go out in Toronto and the combination of excellent food - whether dim sum or sushi, or the incredible beef noodle soup- Super clean and sunny environment, and excellent service, makes this a winner. I live around the corner and I wish I had found it sooner.
Quite an array of dishes incl dim sum Vegetarian options: Good variety Food : 4/5 |
Great spot to grab lunch! Their lunch specials are good and plentiful, as a small eater I end up taking at least half home.
Food is middle of the road...the service is brutal...the girls (they were all girls) seem nice enough but there is clearly a language barrier and getting the bill was an ordeal of asking over and over and over. The restaurant is fine but I will say that having a half dozen delivery drivers milling around behind our table was offputting and distracting.
Its terribly weak and tastes bad and not fresh
Found this gem not long ago. Their peking duck is devine and everything we ate was really good and good price. I recommend.
Ordered online. They use habanero sauce other than chili oil and they use peanut topping other than sesame, on Szechuan Dumplings. That s truly a blasphemy of our culture. It s fine to cook like this honestly, but please kindly just don t name it or paste internet pic into your uber menu.
I don t know what they changed- but some meals became even tastier. Never disappointed, always great
Dont be deceived by the simple decor this food is fast and absolutely delicious. The service is quick and friendly and we will definitely be back!
The dim sum was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The soup dumplings were the best. We also ordered a big sushi tray to go and were pleasantly surprised with the number of veggie options. Would definitely go again :)
Yum, yum. Great if you have a party that wants different types of asian cuisine. I love that they seem to have a little bit of everything (i.e. chines, korean, japanese etc.) We ordered delivery from here and it travelled well. I love their onion pancakes - something I dont see often. Also their sesame balls, sweet and sour chicken and shanghai noodles. Would love to check out the restaurant in person too.
I want to start of with the atmosphere was amazing!!! AND THE FOOD WAS SOOOO GOOD!!.. During our outing, the venue was packed with orders. There was a line up outside the door for orders. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!
3 days later I m still sick and feeling horrible. Tasted good, but not worth the pain.
Love this place! The food is amazing and the service is always so friendly. Highly recommend trying this place out.
Delicious classic Chinese food and great service. Dim sum was excellent too!
har gow was good. veggie spring rolls. chicken wonton soup had 2 wontons but a solid place to get lunch
Great place for good and affordable lunch deals
I really like the food, but it is very, very cold inside. You need to wear a jacket. I wish I had gloves as I write this. If you have any underlying conditions, like advanced age, you may not survive.
It s the day after eating here and my stomach feels sick. Everything tasted like it had been frozen and just steam heated. Super expensive. Slow service.
Ignore the famous yeung chow fried rice, it had barely any taste and flavor, maybe thats what its supposed to be but definitely not worth it
Terrible experience
My favourite dimsums in town!
Tried again Chis Asian Tapas... ordered takeout combo (Yeung Chow Fried Rice, wonton soup and spring roll) it was average tasting... something was lacking... but reasonably priced (discount if you pay cash)
Unfortunately, this restaurant is recently under new management as told by one of the servers after we had received the bill and paid. The quality and the service has dramatically declined. During the last weekend of May 2023 we had gone for dinner; and we had noticed immediately a change in the service, cleanliness and the quality of the food. The main host who was trying to run the front of the business was coughing continuously without covering her mouth, which was uncomfortable to see and hear. I noticed they were cleaning drinking glasses under the tap and air drying (not using the dishwasher - red flag) with no soap. Finally, the food was not very good and the air conditioner was not on. I am not sure if they are struggling financially after purchasing the business, or just trying to cut overhead costs. At one time, Chi was an excellent place for good food and great service. I will not be returning ever and highly recommend other places.
Their lunch specials are good value for the amount of food. But it made me feel off and bloated, it was hard to finish the meal. Also general tao chicken sauce tasted bitter, wasnt what I was expecting.
Update: New management, food is completely different no longer my go to This place is our new favourite. We have had take away from here about 5 times so far! My absolute favourites are the Szechuan dumplings, they are out of the world!!!! Today we tried the steamed bao. We had Chicken, pork and crispy beef. Steam bao, steam wow!!!!!! The crispy beef was delicious!!!!! We tried the general Tao and the sweet and sour chicken which were also very good. Can t wait to try some more items from their menu
I went for lunch special combos with my friends, I ordered Tom yum Noodles soup and some dim sum, food was great! Their staffs are also really friendly. Will come back!
Thats the kind of place Id come back for the service.
We went for Peking Duck. In our neighbourhood, we were not disappointed. This is the best Pecking Duck I ve ever had, and I ve had plenty in many different cities, this serving was wonderfully moist, the skin crispy while retaining the perfect amount of fat. I started with a wonderful sweet and sour soup with fresh mushrooms. Off putting at first, the fresh mushroom, but wait: Fresh ingredients in a soup! a wonderfully almost-too spicy hot, what are you hiding, soup. Then I got it, wonderfully balanced, a great starter to the Peking Duck. We have another favourite here: Mapo Tofu. I fell in love with tofu again eating it here. Also a spicy presentation that speaks of flavours delicately balanced, a disciplined hand, a discovery I. every mouthful. The service was prompt, efficient and so friendly. The final price was half of what we expected for this birthday celebration. One last thing , The crispy beef is a must have. In a guilty way, a bit too sweat. But m a diabetic so I shouldn t have any of it.
Good food and amazing service, will comeback next time
Too many flies food was average
If you want get food poisoning this is the place, kitchen is super dirty, I saw with my eyes the use frozen food and heated up in microwave and served customers, worst Chinese food ever, I order chicken fried rice I couldn t even eat one spoon of it,
Server was nice and the food was surprisingly cheap for the great quality
This review is based on their dim sum as we were looking for a dim sum restaurant and looking at mostly positive reviews we decided to try this place. This was probably some of the worst dim sum I tried in Toronto. The har gow actually smelled so bad that I had to spit it out. Looked like the costco har gow that went bad. My pregnant wife almost ate it and it couldve caused food poisoning. The siu mai was sub par but at least it didnt go bad. There was also flies in their soy sauce when we poured it. The service was so-so they didnt try to amend their mistakes in any way. Will not return here, and if you are looking for dim sum, do yourself a favour and go to a proper dim sum place.
We came for lunch and it was quite cheap & so delicious! Plus the staff is extremely friendly. Great experience :)
Great places to settle for dinner. Busy but quite, friendly services beyond expectation. Must try this drunken garlic shrimp, get you high Food
Quick service. Hot and tasty food. Great option for a workday lunch date.
Ordered the chicken wings and chili chicken on uber eats. Both were smelling bad and stake. Took a bite of both and threw the whole thing away. The price for chili chicken was $18.50 which is a complete rip off for what it is.
Takes so long to prepare food! I only ordered sushi and wings but its been more than an hour and they re still preparing it
This food does not suit Korean tastes. The rice is tough, the tempura is soggy, and it is not fresh, so it is typical sushi. It is an Asian food that does not suit the taste of Asians. Are you Korean? Trust me.
Mr E and I have enjoyed eating at Chi Dim Sum several times in the past however the most recent visit was different. We saw that Sushi Rock must have merged with Chi Dim Sum which was interesting but okay a change in. business no doubt. There must have been also a change in the kitchen because our food was seasoned differently and the flavours, sauces were not as good. The tofu (with veg) was very tough to bite into, the citrus crispy fish was soggy. So we were disappointed with the quality of our dishes which is too bad.
Absolutely lovely. Staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is to die for, and all meals are under 20 dollars. Amazing place for a date!
Best dim sum in midtown.
Ordered the chicken pho via Uber eats. It was horrible and not edible. Shouldn t be able to call that Pho broth. It was water with sesame oil.
The red oil handwriting is seriously inconsistent with the picture! ! Chaos is topped with sweet chili sauce. What is this? May I ask? Chicken Chaos is $6, there are only 3 pieces in it and the soup is very salty! ! The beef in the beef bun cannot be chewed at all! ! Very unpalatable! ! It seems to be a Chinese restaurant specially designed to fool foreigners who dont understand. It is recommended that Chinese people dont eat it! ! ! This is the most outrageous meal I have ever had in all my years in Canada! ! !
The dim sum was okay. Came for a quick bite before the movies. The drinks were actually great and there were a ton of take out sushi orders.
Depends on what you order. Shrimp dumplings were delicious, laksa was inedible
I paid $18 for this. Eighteen dollars...for this. Zero flavour. Canned pineapple. Dry AF rice and peas. Shrimps taste as yuck as they look. Im really angry and hungry right now as this truly isnt edible. The photo on the left is what I received. The photo on the right is what I was expecting from their menu photo. I never return food as I get paranoid of what a restaurant might do with my replacement. Buyer beware.
Average food. Good server
My favorite China food The only Chinese food around here. I never eat takeout, but this is the only place where I can taste the long-lost Chinese taste.
Overall, amazing food and service. I like the idea of trying different Tapas - when youre confused about what to order. On the Table; Ha Gow Steamed Shrimps dumplings Really tasty. General Tao Chicken Bao Scallion Pancakes Oh! This was my favourite! Chive Box Also really good. Crispy sesame Ball Hmm It was interesting but I prefer plain sesame balls. Szechuan Style Hot & Sour Soup It was so perfect for a cold day. I really loved this soup. It hit the spot! Tom Yum Soup Not as good as the Szechuan Soup.. I ve had better Tom Yum ;) Sundae Parfait We actually wanted to try the Mango pudding but they were sold out. So, this was our only other option. The presentation was amazing and the cereal in the ice cream was a really nice surprise. But I probably won t order it again. Went back here and tried their General Tao Chicken and crispy beef Bao and wow it was amazing. Staff is always super nice as well.
Chi Dim Sum offers fresh eats and delicious treats. The restaurant itself was a bit chilly, which is fine because we ordered a big bowl of Laksa soup; it is so creamy and delicious. Id like to highlight the mango sticky rice - it is the right amount of sweet to end the evening. Will definitely be back again!
Would love to see more veggie options especially with the main dishes giving an option as veg/chicken/beef/shrimp rather than deciding on protein beforehand. Otherwise this place is just ok, there are much better places in the city. This place stands alone in its kind at Yonge/Ed. If you leave the area you ll find much better Chinese options.
I will update this pending if I ever return. Dim sum experts. Do you think chive boxes/medallions are the same as pancakes or interchangeable? Not a trick question! I got takeout and ordered chive boxes (normally called medallions elsewhere) and instead I got pancakes. After I checked their online menu, I called the restaurant to discuss and they tried to convince me that they re the same, that the boxes are mini pancakes. I told them they re not, texture is different, etc. and that I ve been eating them for many years of my life and if they re different than the picture they have then they should amend their menus and should have told me because it s dishonest (false advertising). After awhile, they said they d credit me. Either they think I m stupid and being cheap or they made a mistake and gave me scallion pancake. I was craving a hot and sour soup and make the mistake of ordering it. It is not good or how it should be. The ha gow (shrimp dumplings) and sui mai (pork/shrimp dumplings) were okay. Note these are often supplied frozen and made inside restaurants, but it wasn t over or under steamed.
I order on skip the dishes all the time, its SO good. Korean BBQ ribs are the bomb
Everything tasted great and the service was very quick
The portions are huge! We got the Laksa curry noodle soup and the braised beef noodle soup. We came during lunch on Saturday and got the lunch special (comes with spring roll). The crispy beef was also tasty. Really good deal for the amount of food you get. Would love to come back again - the noodles hit the spot!
Nothing tasted fabulous or great, including dessert (weird fruit ) .
I ordered the spicy lamb skewers and laksa soup When I took my rice I cook it with chilli oil to make it a little spicy and it was spicier than my order
== Updated to 5 stars == Came again to try other dishes. I ordered the beancurd roll as a starter. It was delicious. Fresh and succulent meat with a soft beancurd wrapper. For the mains, I got the lunch special of Cashew Crispy Tofu. It came with a soup (I chose the Hot and Spicy Soup) and a veggie spring roll. The soup was yummy. Just the right amount of spiciness and tang. Spring roll was well fried. And Crispy Tofu was yummy too. My hubby got the full portion of Chong Qing Spicy Chicken. He enjoyed that with an additional order of rice. We realized its better to order Chinese dishes here (as opposed to the Southeast Asian dishes). Theyre much more authentic and delicious. == Previously rated 4 stars == Tasty dim sum! We ordered the har gow and xiao long bao. Both were fresh and delicious. For mains, we got the lunch specials which included a veggie spring roll each. Spring rolls were crispy and yummy. However, the mains were not as tasty as the dim sum. The Laksa was good although it doesnt taste authentic. Kung Pao chicken was also not too authentic. Hence, I dropped one star. But absolutely come here for the dim sum. Those deserve 5 stars!
Still drooling over how yummy all the food was, a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Best to come during the lunch time during the weekday to take advantage of their lunch specials too and don t forget the dim sum
Pricy with average food quality.
Chi Asian Tapas was a most excellent experience! Everything we ordered was BEAUTIFUL!!! Lovely little space with a pleasant atmosphere and great jazz music :) Highly Recommend: - beef noodle soup - crispy chicken spring roll - coconut butterfly shrimp - homemade pepper sauce
Had a very nice late lunch with a few dishes and cocktails. Pleasant and tasty. Beef bao was great!
Leaving a review so I remember not to order from here anymore cause when I forget and do, I am disappointed. If you are Asian who knows Asian cuisine, this is not the place for you. There are standard dishes that have standard food items. I ordered wonton noodle soup with noodles. Never have I ever gotten pad Thai noodles with it, there is an expectation that I am going to get the standard egg noodle. I ordered beef ho fun noodles, the description says flat noodle and anyone who knows this dish knows it is a flat rice noodle. Why was this made with pad Thai noodles? For the price and lack of authenticity to Asian culture, I give this place 2 stars.
Lemon chicken Singapore noodles
We orders the Taiwanese beef noodles, sesame balls, fried string beans, and mapo tofu... Everything was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and authentic. Reasonably priced. The ambiance is very nice, much calmer than your usual Chinese restaurants. They have a nice bar adding to the effect as well. I would absolutely visit here again and highly recommend others to pay a visit. The service was great too!
Best shu mai and char sui bao I ve had. And incredible general tsao chicken
The food here is amazing! I highly recommend the dumplings and ramen. The prices are good, and the portions are massive.
Absolutely Recommend!!!! We walked into this restaurant after having had an annoying experience at mandarin, Eglinton. Definitely one of the best restaurants serving good food. Everything we ordered was delicious We ordered a variety of dumplings, pineapple fried rice, wanton soup, mango sticky rice and fried banana with ice cream YUMMMMMMM EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Please do yourself a favour and visit this place!
Nice place. Good food. Nice staff!
How did this place get 4.3 stars? I would give it 0 if I could. The food quality is so bad!!! Also, we ordered a beef ho fun and got some type of Thai noodle with beef dish. Sorry but thats is NOT beef ho fun. This is not an authentic asian/Chinese restaurant.
I wanted to try somewhere new as my last order for Asian style food was not great. After reading the reviews I was on the fence but decided that Ill go ahead and try it through Skip the Dishes. Yeung Chow Fried Rice- Portion size was fair for the price and the shrimp was well cooked and perfect size not those tiny fresh water shrimps that some places give you, the chicken was a tad skimpy. If I had one complaint it would be that I found it too salty Chicken Wonton Soup- my least fave of all the dishes, it was a very salty broth and I wasnt wild about the texture of the wonton filling Beef and Gailan- The broccoli was cooked to perfection it still had a nice crunch to it, but once again heavy on the sodium it seemed to be a trend throughout the meal so I am thinking that there must be a lot of MSG being used which I try to stay away from. It wasnt inedible but really am not sure that I will be rushing to place another order anytime soon
Food was very tasty and service nice but giving 4start because washrooms are not clean at all! Eww
A solid 3 star restaurant. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is kind. Both pho and chicken was decent, but mediocre. The pho only had fully cooked beef whereas other restaurants would serve other protein ingredients including raw beef meat. The lemon chicken was fried in a fish & chip way, not in a chicken popcorn way. The fry was too thick but the chicken itself was pretty tender. It was funny bc it actually kinda tasted like fish.
Our go to Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood. They offer good selection of Chinese dishes and all the dishes that weve tried were decent. Service is fast and price is reasonable.
Pretty good and quantities were generous.
Best hot and sour soup!!! Food is fresh. Service was amazing
Beware, their dumplings are bought frozen from a supplier and steamed at the restaurant. Their dumplings are not freshly made in the restaurant.
When they first opened a few years ago it was great, nice atmosphere, presentation and service. Over the years the quality has dropped. Tried ordering on Skip tonight, and the presentation is awful and is NOTHING like it s pictures. The peanut dumplings look like vomit in a styrofoam container, the xiao long baos were rock hard as if they were sitting. The spring rolls seem frozen and mushy. All the food comes in styrofoam and it s not vented meaning your food is soggy/watery due to the condensation. Read the reviews buyer beware!
Overall I can say the service was quick. Food was delicious. On my visit, I ordered the beef ho fun and fried squid. Generally not what I expected as the noodles werent the thick ones you usually see in an ho fun. Think salty pad thai than chinese beef noodles in soy sauce. Squid was fried with the minimum of batter though the accompanying sauce gave it a sweet kick. Will have to try the dim sum if I could afford it.
Chi Dim Sum was pretty good!! We had the Shrimp Har Gow, chicken Shu Mai and chicken pot stickers to start with. The service was good the food came out hot and fast. Then we gave their chicken bao (general tao sauce) and crispy beef bao a try. Both were good and the steam buns were on point. All in all a really good experience.
John was a great server. We had one of everything, it came out fast and furious!! Hot, steaming and tasty!!
Recommend
Truly awesome food and good service The menu is amazing. I introduced my friends to this gem and they have been going religiously as well. My only surprise is that the place is not always packed, that might have something to do with the name on the building Chi Asian Tapas. Anyways I come here at least once a week and highly recommend it if you like good food!
food was significantly below average and overpriced for what it was
Quality food
This place never disappoints, service is quick, food is good and the menu has plenty of options for all tastes.
I like there and foods are Amazing
Extremely tasteless n not worth of the money, which I spent for dineout
First try and everything from won ton soup ( which could be a meal for 1 by itself) to chili cashew eggplant were very tasty. I look forward to my next in person visit
Grossed out by this place! Went here for dinner with my wife just over a month ago and ordered the wonton noodle soup, Korean beef ribs and a few other items on the dim sum menu. Before our food arrived we received a glass of ice to go with the can of ginger ale and discovered a bug inside of the glass :( We shrugged it off because it was just in the ice, but we shouldve taken it as a sign of worse things to come. The whole meal arrived and after we began to eat, my wife found an even bigger bug inside her soup! We were totally grossed out - my wife felt sick from the experience, and left by herself. I let the server know but she didnt seem to care much, and we still had to pay full price for the entire meal ($70~) even though I left behind the bug soup barely touched. Tried calling a few times over the next week for the manager/owner but apparently they are never there. Really disgusted by this place!
Honestly amazing food. Not a big fan of dimsum here but everything else here is incredible. Especially wonton soup!
30min delay on pick up. When I arrived to pick up my food, all I was told was not ready yet. Not once the attendant apologized. Staff needs better training. Not coming back, there are several other better restaurants in the area. Food is below average and overpriced.
Food is good! Will definitely order from here again. It was delivered quickly too.
Stop accepting orders in Uber Eats and cancelling it last minute (after waiting for an hour).
Our order took over two hours to arrive, and when it arrived we received the wrong order. The food was cold and terrible. I would not recommend. This was a terrible experience and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Dont make the same mistake as me.
Ordered dim sum. Ready quickly. Fresh and tasty. Great quality. Price a little on the high end, but still worth 5 stars.
Their chicken General Tao is so tasty and crispy! The name of the restaurant made me think that the portions would be tapas small size, but portion size was very generous! Ive been looking for a good Chinese restaurant at Yonge and Eglinton, and I finally found it! I cant wait to try more on the menu and Ill definitely be back!
Their Dim Sum is bless! I mainly love their Szechuan peanut dumplings but their peking Duck is honestly heaven! Staff is sweet! I ve equally gone there for work dinners, & to pick up my lunch and every time its great service!!
Delicious like always.
Amazing food
GREAT FOOD AND EVEN BETTER SERVICE! We go here too much and our go tos never disappoint: 1) crispy tofu; 2) house rice pot w grilled chicken; 3) laksa noodle soup; 4) chicken spring rolls; and 5) ha gow
The appetizers and dim sums are not worth it, same thing for the baos, the quantities are quite small for the price. The main dishes however are huge in quantity the Shanghai noodles and Lan Zhou beef are good but not outstanding.
Great Chinese food in the heart of Midtown. Love the Cantonese chow mein
Two major things to remember very cheap people also very rude. Dont waist your money.
Delicious food and great service.
Already been there more than 3 times always good
A wonderful place to have some great Asian food. Food was prepared well and tasted fantastic. Flavours were spot on and the service and atmosphere was awesome. Definitely worth multiple visits.
Quality and price are pretty good, but very long waits. Took nearly an hour to get our complete meal from the time of order. We were given complimentary fried rice, which was a nice gesture, but would have preferred to know that they were overtaxed from the beginning and made alternate dining arrangements.
Food is good and tasty.
I rarely write reviews but I just finished my food and had to appreciate them! Best Hakkah Noodle in town.
This place has great food and Lisa at the front is very friendly and helpful in getting the right order. The lady that usually takes my order in person and on the phone was not friendly at all. The food turned out to be a 4/5 because the chicken and shrimp fried rice wasn t cooked well. Hopefully Lisa takes my order from now on. Worth a visit
We came here for Asian food and the food was great but service could be better. We had the ha gow dim sum, laksa noodle soup, and Tom yum soup and scallion pancakes. The food was pretty good, the laksa noodle soup was a very large portion and the dim sum was warm and comforting. They did however forget to come to our table when we wanted to order more food, but it was alright. I would recommend their dim sum.
Solid, Chinese restaurant. Menu shows which items have peanuts in them! Funky décor.
Most tasteful food in Toronto and very reasonable priced. Staff are amazing compared to other restaurants around younge Eglinton. I see very high potential for this place, once the word gets out.
Reasonably priced and quite tastee food. This is the second time I ve eaten there. I m trying Ramen the 3rd time I visit.
Been to Chi Dim Sum 3 times now and it never disappoint. On our most recent visit, we shared various dumplings, chicken springrolls, mango salad and all were very delicious and well presented.
My wife and I regularly go there and we both love it. The space is comfortable, very enjoyable. The staff is great and while it takes often a bit of time to get our order out of the kitchen, it is worth it every single time. I have my favorite items there, obviously, but I have not yet had anything I did not like. Orders are large, so expect some family style sharing of items and, more often than not, doggie bags to bring home.
Excellent
Its not 100% authentic dim sum, but in a good way. Less greasy, and they have options for more traditional American style Chinese dishes
It was our first time, we walked in on a Monday late evening. There was no other customers dinning in. We were hesitant to go inside assuming the food might not be that good due to the fact the entire restaurant was empty. However, we still tried out this place and I m glad we did it. All the dishes that we ordered was really good. I can t wait to go back again and try other dishes too. I find that their quality of the food is one those top Chinese restaurant in Markham. I really hope that they get more busy, so that we can enjoy this restaurant for longer time. Because I ve seen lot of asian restaurant comes and goes in Yonge-Eglinton area.
Extensive and varied menu, delicious juices, and excellent vegetarian entrees.
Ive been here a few times and the food and service are consistently great!
Finally found our dim sum restaurant last night. Ordered delivery and highly recommend. Delicious! Thank you*****
Honestly, the portions are perfect size. I ended up getting 2 main dishes and the chicken spring rolls. All the food is pretty good. Would recommend the shrimp lobster dish and the chicken spring rolls. We ended up having leftovers from the beef dish because we were so full. Would definitely recommend if youre in the area and looking for chinese food too eat. Great service too!!
Really good food , a bit pricey but good Service was good as well
Good food
great food, friendly and efficient staff, very good selection of menu.
The food was fantastic and the service was fast and efficient. It is a shame the place was not busy, with food like that the restaurant should be packed with a queue.
We made a reservation for 10 people earlier this year so, we were a large party. When we arrived the place wasn t too busy but, it picked up quickly. The service was friendly and managed to keep up with the pace. We ordered an array of plates that we shared, including the roasted duck, which we were recommended to order as soon as we arrived. All the food was delicious and fresh, it was also satisfying and, surprisingly, our bills were reasonable for such a large group.
Ordered vegetable yellow curry with rice. The vegetables were perfect but the sauce was a little thin. Slightly too sweet and not as spicy as these kinds of dishes tend to be. I did finish my meal, however I would not order again.
I rented out their event space for a wedding shower and have been back a dozen times since! This place has absolutely delicious food, great service, and they were really willing to work with me to plan a beautiful event within my budget. People from the shower are still talking about this food a year later
We re so glad that Chi Asian Tapas opened up in our neighbourhood- it really is amazing Chinese food. Five stars!
The lunch menu is inexpensive and is a lot of food to eat. Almost too much!
The best Tom Yum soup in Toronto, period!
Fantastic service and delicious food!
Great place with amazing service and awesome food! Me and my husband come here a lot! The food is definitely shareable and delicious. The service is always great.
Awesome
Exceptional food! Service can be a bit faster tho
Food is served hot and fresh each time
This place is my new favourite place for Dim Sum and asian tapas. Ada and all the guys provided an excellent service. All the places were amazing and flavorful. Well-sized portions and well priced. Definitely coming back to try more plates. Some of our favourites from this time were the duck, Ha Gow, Lotus Pockets, Pineapple rice.. Awesome
Really great taste. Loved the Hakka noodles and the Kung pao chicken. Completely satisfied with overall experience. Good service, good food and so worth the price.
Delish! Great service!
Delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasantly quiet restaurant. Just the right amount of food, too. -1 star, only because we had issues with fruit flies, and a mosquito landed on my friends food. Id otherwise recommended this place, but this detail holds me back.
This is a very good chinese food restaurant on Yonge and Eglington. The food is very good and authentic and the service is great. At the end of the dinner, i had some left over soup noodle to bring home and the waitress uses 2 containers to pack the food and the soup separately. How thoughtful.... I highly recommend it to anyone looking for good chinese food.
Really good wonton soup crispy beef was actually nice and crispy the boa is not a winner also liked the coconut shrimp but only got 6 when they advertise 8 in a order
Very nice Chinese restaurant, I had the beef Green Curry and it was very good, the service can be a little slow, but the food makes up for it!
Be careful if they ask you for a hot water refill on your tea! They will ask you if you want it (without you asking them first) thus giving you the assumption it s included.... then sneak in an extra charge on your bill!
Not that many dim sum options, but its still a nice restaurant.
Nice space, enjoyed dim sum brunch here. Popular! Perhaps not yet my favorite dim sum joint, but worth the time and money.
Great place! Not expensive and delicious
Very good service, and great taste as well. The Roasted Duck is not on the menu because the quantity is limited. Definitely will go back again.
Great food!!
Before I went there, I didn t expect too much. But it turned out the food there was pretty good! I like it. The only problem is they are short of waiters so the service was not good enough. Waited for a long time for water.
Service could use improvement. Long wait times.
Decent food, casual place. Fast and friendly service. Good portions and also such vibrant interiors.
Very attentive service, attention to texture and detail - very tasty, cooked just right. Pleasant atmosphere and superb service. Recommended!
Good place
I ve been looking for a place to get delicious hot and sour soup for quite some time. Time and time again, many other restaurants have let me down with subpar, bland hot and sour. Not Chi Dim Sum! The hot and sour is so flavourful, easily one the of the best I ve ever had. The general tso chicken and soup dumplings are great too! Don t hesitate to try this place out! 5/5.
REALLY good and underrated. Very extensive menu from all parts of Asia (HK dim sum, Thai food, Szechuan dishes, Malaysian Laksa...). Having lived in asia I can say its all really good . Bonus: nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff, large portions and some good kids drink options too. Definitely worth visiting!!
Ive been craving Laksa for months, and after finding Chi Dim Sum I knew I had to give it a try. I am thoroughly impressed! Our waiter was attentive, and quite charming, the food was absolutely phenomenal, I only wish I had room for afters. Ill be back!
Tried the dim sum. It was okay, no where near the level of Chinatown or Scarborough though.
Laksa noodle soup is amazing here. My new favourite!
