Really solid spot for some quick, easy Chinese food. Seriously I eat a lot of dumplings and make my own occasionally. Filling is well seasoned, the dough is perfect balance between chewy and soft. Wish I took pictures. This unassuming spot might just be my regular when I have nothing to cook on the weekday after work. Got the fried wide noodles which is similar to ho fun but less fried and slightly more fresh noodle taste. Comfortable and yummy. Got the pan fried leek and pork dumplings. Crispy on one side, good filling along with their pretty decent chili oil. It's what you could want from dumplings. Hot and sour soup unironically is something hard to get RIGHT. They do it pretty good. Actually sour, slightly acidic, a hint of spicy.
Pretty good. The dumplings are made in house and cooked to order, the food is predictable and tasty. The dining room however could use a facelift and the service is a bit loud and hectic. Overall I can recommend this place, but the reason to come here is food, not the atmosphere.
Roamed around the area looking for Chinese restaurants to dine in during a warmer day. Coming inside was a disappointment, the interior had a musky aroma and didn’t look very clean and up-kept. Our table was dirtier in spots which was hard to believe. The Dim Sum here was good. Tasted fresh and juicy, we enjoyed eating it and was the highlight of our meal. Unfortunately the rest of the meal wasn’t good. Pao chicken tasted rubbery, low quality and bland. The fried rice was massive but also tasted low-end. The entirety of the menu had no quality standard but loaded up on the quantity. For the price, it really didn’t match up well. We had leftovers but opted to throw it away which was a first.
This unassuming place serves delicious dishes and juicy handmade dumplings. I love everything we had here and will definitely return.
The restaurant can be found along Gerrard St. It’s a place for casual chinese dining. We ordered Shaolong bao (Pork Soup Dumpling), Pan Fried Pork Dumpling, Hakaw (Shrimp Dumpling) and Mapo Tofu Rice. The food was really great esp. their shaolong bao. I also want to mention their chili garlic oil, it was so good!
Service is quick and the staff is nice. We sort of over ordered (we didn't know the wonton soup was enough for 3 people and we ordered two, but then the server came by to let us know and ended up giving us something sweet instead after cancelling one of the orders, which was nice of them). Everything we had was good, could do with a tad bit more salt, but nonetheless good and I'd definitely come back. Special mention to the spicy green beans, very flavourful! The steamed dumplings were good too. Wontons are a great measure of a good Chinese restaurant and I'd have the wonton soup again as well.
Went with a group of friends few days ago and I was wowed by some of their dishes. I particularly enjoyed their spicy green bean stir-fry (I think it’s #24 on the menu) and their sweet sesame pancake, which you get for free when you spend over a certain amount. The soup dumplings weren’t my favourite, there just wasn’t enough soup falling out of the dumpling when I bit into it and the soup also was missing some flavour points. Space-wise, the restaurant is small and only has one big table. We were split into two small tables at first until the big party left. The small tables were a bit tight for four people and we couldn’t sit comfortably with all our winter clothes taking up some space. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. She was constantly checking in on us and made sure everything was OK. Near the end, she gave us another sweet sesame pancake for free because my table ordered more food. Con: this place takes cash/debit only.
Was surprised by how good the food was for the price offered. The scallion pancake was chewy and the right amount of salty. The spicy veggie noodles were good but could do with a bit more veggies. The eggplant dish was lovely but had a lot of potatoes for the amount of aubergine. The veggie dumplings were too doughy for me but the filling was light and nice. Overall, not a bad quality price ratio, especially considering they were able to provide a lot of vegan options.
I had been first time at Dumpling House to taste the Dumpling, ordered take out it was delicious .street pay parking , sometimes busy. Kid-friendliness: Its a family restaurant. Good for kids too.
Ordered on uber eats and it was soooooooooooo bad. Had the first bite and could tell right away that it was going to make me sick and it did. Ordered $50 worth of dumplings and them all away!
I had braised eggplant and general tsao chicken, both of which were delicious. The staff was also very friendly- they make sure ppl know they can get ticketed quickly if they park on Gerrard!
Food was decent. Service was good.
I ordered online Uber eats 24 pork dumplings and a pork dumplings soup and a cucumber salad. Food was 5 stars delicious . So good. Perfect meal I had shared with my babies. Will order again next time Im craving delicious food
**Terrible Experience - Do Not Recommend** I had an awful experience at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken fried rice, and the chicken smelled sour and unpleasant. The crispy sweet and sour pork was not good as well. Requested new egg fried rice but it was oily and salty. All the food had a strong, bad smell of oil. My stomach felt uneasy afterwards. I do not recommend eating here.
dumplings are pretty decent but expensive. i dont think its worth the value
Great food
Delicious food and great service. Its a great spot to have your dinner after watching the sunset in the nearby Riverdale park.
Been here a bunch of times for lunch and dinner. Good value, tasty, authentic overall experience. If thats what youre looking for, this is the spot. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Nice, cozy and quiet place. The food were so delicious!!
Food was tasty and service was lovely! Great food, highly recommend!
Came here for dinner yesterday and was so disappointed. This place used to be good. The seats and tables are very tightly packed, and in need of some updating. The food is so far from what it used to be. It lacked flavour, freshness, and care. The soup filled dumplings wraps were too thick for what it should be. The filling lacked its usual complexity of flavours. Not sure if the chef has changed, but theyre definitely not as good as they once were. I can see why there were no other Asian people eating here at the time. The only saving grace was the service as our servicer was quite attentive and very friendly. I will NOT be coming back here again.
Dumplings were unreal. Portion sizes were a little light.
Food is delicious. If you order the sauteed green beans, I suggest asking them to cook it long enough that they shrink. Also dont be alarmed if the meat for the chicken dumplings is red - it may be due to having been marinated with ginger. Staff is cheery and helpful. A little cramped but in a cozy way.
Excellent food lovingly prepared by an amazing family! We have ordered from here for many years before moving away. When close again for business we made a large order via Uber for Bay St delivery. Uber screwed everything up - I took a taxi out there and back to get the food for my team because its that good. I will never use Uber Eats again, but I will make every effort to support Dumpling House. Juicy dumplings and best beef and green onion rolls ever!
Feels like a hole in the wall but the dumplings are incredible. Worth the visit and will definitely be coming back
Ok but not extrairdinary
The dim sum dishes are cooked from frozen. You can literally tell the brand of the (which had the worst taste of all the restaurants I tried in the entire GTA) procured from the freezer of the grocery.
The dumpling filling was rubbery, the soy sauce was so watery it tasted like nothing. Not worth the price.
They dont know how to behave with other peoples and other races.
Love it here. Bring on the DUMPLINGS
Sweet and spicy soup is very good, as well as the korean pancake, shrimp chips and fried sticks
Amazing little restaurant with fantastic food. No frills or extravagance, the food speaks for itself! The chefs are very skilled and you can even see them making the dumplings at the back of the restaurant. Highly recommend the pork soup dumplings and the braised beef noodle soup. I will definitely be back when I am in the area. Thank you for the great food!
I had wanted to go here for some time and finally went because my usual spot was closed. It was unremarkable. Soup not hot enough, the dumplings not enough flavour. Not awful, just not worth going back.
Classic dumpling house in the east end. Beef pancake wraps are really good too!
Had dumplings for takeout. They were very good, handmade and full of flavour. Staff was friendly from the moment we walked in. Great value and would highly recommend.
Conveniently located near the Bridgepoint Family Health Team you can enjoy some of the best dumplings in the city. Doing a take out order was easy as we were greeted warmly by staff. Everything was nicely packaged and remained hot. I highly recommend the pork and dill dumplings which had the perfect wrapper to filling ratio, and the beef pancake rolls.
best dumplings in the city !!
They gave us a sweet sesame pancake on the house, which was so nice of them! The service here was amazing - very warm and kind :)
The best dumplings in the city
Crystal shrimp dim sum was sooooooo good. Eggplant was melt in your mouth. Recommend both. Owner is so nice gave us a free dessert to start with.
Delicious dumplings, warm service, relaxed quiet atmosphere. Cozy and comfortable. Great hot sauce and other condiments. Will definitely be back.
Came here Saturday night with a friend who was super excited to try the hot soup dumplings. We ordered 4 dishes and for a 5th on the house. Incredibly delicious. I figured I d live off the leftovers for a week but they were finished by the end of the night. Highly recommend.
Great food! I usually get the dumplings for take out but recently sat in for the full menu. Highly recommend the cucumber salad if you like a quick pickle!
Good food for not much money. Staff gracious under pressure. You dont go in there for the decor so that really does not matter. Vegetarian options available. Not super familiar with the fare here, but I very much enjoyed it
Tasty fare, large portions, reasonable prices, local family -run. What more can you want?
Perfect dumpling! We got the soup dumpling and fried dumpling and noodles. Everything was handmade and tasted perfect. So satisfying!!Will be back again for sure!!!
Went there with my family and the food was delicious! Staff was friendly, food was delicious, service was fast (for the most part, one order took a bit longer, but otherwise very good!) 10/10 recommend
In my humble opinion, the best dumplings in Toromto. Also a must try is the Da La Pi (broad noodles with sesame sauce, fresh shredded veggies and meat). The dumplings are constantly made fresh throughout the day, the staff is super friendly, and the prices very affordable. This is a staple in our family dining rotation. I have lived in a couple of places in China and travelled through much of the country so the opinion isnt entirely unqualified.
Amazing food, perfectly portioned and sooo tasty. Pamela did such a great job. Loved her energy and attentiveness to our table. Will definitely come back for more delicious food!
When I 1st approached this place and went in. I didnt know what to expect. Looking through the window, the restaurant appeared very sketchy and not appealing to the eye.I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least. The staff was amazing. Very attentive, very friendly. The dumplings are super good residues when pan-fried and served with the sesame chili sauce.
Incredible service, delicious dumplings, very reasonable prices. The soup dumplings, steam buns, and shrimp hagow were comparable to any of the highly rated Spadina/Dundas strip offerings or any fresh, traditional dimsum spot. Personal anecdote: After rushing in an order last minute, the chefs graciously accomdated me with a mountain of dumplings. In my haste forgot my bag. But, after a few short, responsive emails, not only did I they get it back to me, but they let me in early to do so! Kinda and thoughtful management. Highly recommended.
I was in Toronto for a concert, and the air bnb was just down the street from dumpling house. I think my friend and I went three times in three days, it was so good. Very friendly staff, and incredible food.
Ordered har gaw, pork bun and soup dumpling. Comes in 6 instead of 4. Thats nice for two people.
The space is small and narrow but the food is delicious. Their dumplings are amazing. From the outside the place may seem not worth it - but it is. The service is great. They have a lot of options and you can ask for how you would like the dumplings to be made. I would definitely come again. From Riverdale Park we headed over - the day was well spent.
Pretty good I guess
Dumplings are cheap The staff is friendly, but they speak Chinese. English translation is sometimes difficult. Vegetarian options: Menus are explained more easily with pictures. Dietary restrictions: Since the fragrance is not common, preferences may vary...
I had har gow and braised . Both were delicious. Could use a renovation. Language barrier.
Good price good food
Its alright
Small Chinese Dumplings and noodles restaurant. Prices are reasonable and dishes are ok. Parking is challenging because you have to park on a major street.
Best dumplings in town!
Very fresh and handmade dumplings. Very affordable price. We particularly liked the pork/chives ones.
No debit. Not licensed. No coke zero. No ice. Not going back
Very slow. Food was cold. Service terrible. Sorry to say.
Best Authentic Chinese Food Restaurant In GTA...Must Try their Chicken Dumplings And Veggie Spring Rolls ...
I picked up dinner from Dumpling House and am full of regret, as it was quite possibly the worst Chinese meal Ive ever had. We ordered the soup dumplings, pan fried vegetable dumplings, beef fried noodles and General Tao chicken. The soup dumplings tasted fine, but were very dry (no soup). The pan fried vegetable dumplings were not pan fried (even though I paid extra to get them fried) and they were very bland. The General Tao chicken was the best dish we had, but it was fine at best. The sauce was bland. Finally, the beef fried noodles were horrible. Noodles were extremely thick, the entire dish was undercooked, and did not have any flavour. This dish tasted like it was stir fried in oil only.
We ordered from this place a few weeks back and everything was good. They gave us all of the right condiments and some free dessert pancakes. We were pleased. So today we decided to order again and ordered a larger meal, thinking we knew it would be great. They neglected to include any of the required sauces (which we got with the last order). The worst part was that when we called them they just didnt care. The girl on the phone asked me to call back (giving me the impression she would do something). When I called back she basically didnt care at all. She just said that they did put sauce in the bag. Im eating dry dumplings right now and I would not be doing that if there was soy sauce, rice vinegar or some of the nice spicy toppings we got the last time, so I am pretty sure there is in fact no sauce. She then offered me a free pancake if I ordered again. Considering Ive gotten a free pancake with every order so far, it didnt seem like reasonable compensation. So, we ate $63 of dry bland dumplings and Moo Shu. Im sad because I really liked this place the first time, but I cant see how I can go back.
Delicious food and kind staff. Everything tastes like it was carefully made by hand.
I ordered dim sum with pork inside, I also had the pork buns and the pork and chive pan fried dumplings. All I can taste were the textures of the dumpling and pork. There was no flavors at all in the pork... it needs to be seasoned properly... for the flavors to come out more . Thank God uber eats had a discount where I only paid 13 dollars for all the food i ordered, if I paid the original price for the meal I had ordered I would have been devastated I was hoping it would taste good but I think frozen food tastes better then the meal I just had. I will not be a returning customer , there are better options out there I would recommend trying a different restaurant who focuses more on the quality and taste of food. Also they put very small filling in the pork bun only in the center of the bun was a small portion of pork filling .. so the rest of the bun your just eating a tasteless bun. I think this restaurant seriously needs improvements
Ive been this restaurants #1 fan since they opened. So good!
I ordered dumplings (1 boiled and 1 fried) and an order of Chinese broccoli. I mistakenly ordered here instead of Spadina restaurant. The vegetables were so good. The sauce was a bit sweet and lightly fried with broth. The dumplings on the other hand the filling was such a strange texture. Both dumplings were pork filled, taste wise-decent but could eat, because of texture.
Delicious dumplings, awesome price. Our group left totally satisfied!
We had the mapo tofu, braised eggplant which were both not very authentic flavoured. But Id probably get the tofu dish again. The steamed dumplings were also below average in taste The shredded potato appetizer was decent and the free sweet dessert pancake was delicious! Despite this review Id come back to try other dishes! Seems promising to be a good spot.
Amazing value for very tasty food!
Worst chinese food I have ever eaten. Appearance is good. But the taste is completely different from what u thought. So regretful
Horrible dumplings!
Really bad customer service. I highly doubt with such horrible customer service, they will make the clean food .
The dumplings are too small at this restaurant.
Bad behaviour
Great staff, great food - chili green beans, soup dumplings, green onion pancake. Sesame pancake was a delicious surprise
So good
Not authentic at all. Pork soup dumplings were dry like a desert (no soup) and chewy like bubble gum. The pan fried dumplings were pretty much boiled, and had no flavour. How this place even got a 4 star rating boggles my mind.
Super cozy place with amazingly friendly staff. A good selection of dumplings and theyre all well made and tasty. I wouldnt say theyre necessarily some of the best in town, but the good and cozy vibes are enough to give this place the extra boost. Awesome spot to hit for dumps on the way home.
Fresh food and prompt service
Dear owners, please STOP using styrofoam for your hot food. The past 2 times I ordered take-out from them, they put hot soup in a styrofoam container instead of the clear plastic containers that other restaurants use. Guess what happened? It melted a hole in the container. It is not safe to eat soup with melted styrofoam, so I had to dump it both times.
Cute mom and pop Chinese dine and take out. Your very basic dumplings that could use a little more seasoning. The noodles were generic with at least seasoned beef. What I enjoyed was the pancakes rolled in slice beef and the complimentary sweet pancakes. Their wonton in chilli sauce was different just wish it had more flavour. All in all, it may or may not satisfy your cravings but the workers were super sweet. Also read the menu - we over ordered.
Good place check it out. Good food reasonably priced
Amazing soup dumplings. I ordered 12 chive, egg, and shrimp as well as 12 chicken. The service is really good and they offer complimentary tea as you sit down. I will be back here!
Very good service, hostess/server was chatty and very nice. Food was delicious with good selection of vegetarian / pescatarian options. Food was prepared fresh and came out quickly, plus we spent over a certain amount and got a free dessert, which was a phenomenal sesame / lotus pancake. Will certainly be back when I am in the area!
The employees are friendly and the dumplings are delicious!
Extremely good spring rolls and steamed dumplings! This is the first time me and my husband ate at Dumpling House. We might have to visit again on our way back to Toronto if we have time.
Quick service, always fresh and affordable
Love this place! Awesome food and amazing service.
Mediocre dumplings - the lamb were over cooked and not particularly tasty. The shrimp did not taste very fresh. Will continue on the search for good hole-in-the-wall dumplings
Lovely staff and very tasty meals.Highly recommended.
I usually never write bad reviews but had to do so because of the sheer unprofessionalism. I ve never had something like this happen since I ve ordered from here before and had no issues. I placed an Ubereats order for three sets of dumplings and a green onion pancake at around 9:30. I wasn t aware that this place closes at 10 as my order was already approved and the app said that my food was being prepared. It was well after 10pm and I was assuming I d receive my food before then. The app stated that I d receive my food at 10:30 before being moved to 11:05z I waited over an hour for my food to be prepared before finding out they took my order and closed without giving me food I paid for. It was so frustrating seeing that I d have to pay $30 for my order to be cancelled and that they closed and took my money.
Intimately spaced dumpling house. Service is fast & friendly. I really only like steamed dumplings and a side of Pancake with these meals so I can only speak to the dumplings as being great, though expect to pay $10-12 for a dozen.
Beef noodles soup was tasteless, and the Har gow was good.
Food was good, service needs improvement, price is reasonable. Good for takeout or simple meal. Update: came back for dinner. Disappointed to see some items on the menu no longer available. Ordered gai lan vegetable, good portion with lots of garlic. nicely done. But the beef noodle and the dumplings lack flavor. We like to dip our dumplings in vinegar. But the one on the table tasted like it was water downed. I asked if they had another bottle or a different vinegar (red). The server said thats all we have. Not sure if Ill return, but Im a bit disappointed to see the quality of the food decrease.
My absolute favorite dumpling place, Ive tried a few of their other dishes and found them good but not great, HOWEVER their dumplings are some of the best Ive ever had. Absolute 10/10
Great soup dumplings and wontons with chili sesame sauce - looking forward to trying everything else on the menu, and being able to sit down and relax in this cute spot. Fast friendly service. Cash & debit only.
Love this place! My go-to place for dumplings.
Long time
Number 36, Minced pork with noodles in Peking sauce, Number 11 Sauteed Green Beans. Pork intestines with chili pepper was also my favourite but I dont see it on the menu anymore =(
This place is so good, I cant believe its taken me this long to try it! To reiterate basically every other review, get the soup dumplings, you wont regret it. I could eat an endless supply of them if my stomach would allow it. I am also obsessed with their eggplant and potato dish, its one of my favourites--and coming from a big meat eater that is a huge compliment! Going to keep coming back for more.
Dumpling house was recommended to me for their frozen offerings and they did not disappoint. I was looking for a local place to get dumplings to keep on hand and we loved them. I look forward to trying them for take-out as well.
Fried rice was not good
Basic seating reasonable prices and delicious food. Good house made Dim sum. The lamb dumplings are one of my favourite but so far they are all tasty. Chinese broccoli is good too! After reading other reviews I think Ill try the soup next time.
Soup dumplings had thick shells and were hardly juicy but all the other dumplings were simply delicious.
The mapo tofu contained reheated frozen vegetables. The Szechuan eggplant was supposed to be spicy but was not spicy by my standards. The Chinese broccoli was oddly sweet. I really wanted to like this place but will have to try it another time to see if it can change my mind. I unfortunately experienced feeling mildly unwell - including fatigue, headache, mild nausea, and puffiness around my eyes - both days after eating here, once after my first dinner and once after eating leftovers.
The hygiene of his house is really bad, and the lady boss is very bad. She smiles on the surface, but in fact she is just a smiley tiger. Behind her back, she feeds customers with broken things. She doesn t distinguish between raw and cooked knives, and she is also very hygienic. Worse, all the broken things in the kitchen are kept together, and his family also hires child labor and illegal workers to evade taxes.
The hygiene was very poor, and there were those little cockroaches in the dishes. The boss took the dishes away right away, and then came back and told me that I had made a mistake, and the things were just there. He didnt even admit it. It was really weird. Bad. And when I asked him to take that dish back, he told me to make it again. He refused to admit that there were cockroaches in it and gave me the dish with cockroaches in it.
Horrible experience! The worst customer service. I placed an order on SKIP The Dishes and I am so disappointed.
Only one visit so far, and a positive dining experience. Had braised beef noodle soup, steamed shrimp and pork dumplings and lamb pot stickers. The beef noodle soup is a large size serving with a good amount of noodles, beef brisket with a bit of tendon, all the meet stewed to tenderness. Soup stock was OK, and there is better out there, but for $8.99, this is still good value. Both the pot stickers and steamed dumplings were excellent. Another popular choice seems to be the fried pancake, filled with ground meat, in a spiral shape. Table service is both efficient and helpful. One minor nit is that the booths are a bit constrictive and seating is limited, seems like a popular spot for locals.
So good!
Soup filled dumplings bust in your mouth and are absolutely delicious. I would recommend going here with your entire family and friends
Meals are prepared and served with a lot of care. The service is always friendly, warm and inviting. I love getting takeout here!
The best
Friendly staff answering the phone, yummy dumplings!
Food was mediocre. Soup dumplings had barely and soup and were just juicy at best. All the food tasted like they had been reheated from frozen instead of cooked fresh. The sweet sesame pancake was good
The service attitude is very good. I have ordered several meals and the children like it. I will order food next time. The food tastes good and is hygienic. I am a pragmatic person. I also like to eat dumplings, which gives me a hometown flavor. great! ! ! The boss is very enthusiastic.
So so so so so good. And theyre so nice.
Dumplings & beef rolls are really good! Ordered from here multiple times, never disappoints.
The price was relatively cheap, but I was surprised that the quantity was larger than I expected. The two of us ordered 3 dishes without even thinking about it, but couldnt eat them all and ended up leaving half behind. The taste was just okay to eat. Its not that its super delicious, but its just a good meal for a cheap price? I think its about the same (for reference, they dont accept creadit cards, only debit cards).
This restaurant provides you good value for your money. I ordered steamed dumplings, pan fried dumplings, noodles with minced meat in peaking sauce, and beef wrapped in pancake scallion. All tasted great, the dumplings were not amazing but satisfying, the noodles were incredibly al dente and tasty, the wrap was pretty good but needed more sauce. The service was quick and pretty straight forward. All 4 items with tax costed $40 which is pretty good, fed 2 people with lots left over. Will be back again. In addition the restaurant and washroom was quite clean.
Amazing hand made dumplinga
Great food w fantastic prices but Shhh its a secret.
Family oriented, comfortable settings, relaxed atmosphere Great service, staff friendly. Affordable prices
Waiting time for take out super slow
Had problems with the bill... They billed my card an extra time... And then gave me a lower amount of cash back saying that it would cause problems with their register................. Food was decent, be careful with the billing.
Loved the food and choices but was so popular that customers were standing outside in line waiting to get in. May not be true these days but on the other hand its an opportunity to enjoy the food without the crowds. Tried a place in the Toronto East end advertising the same style of food but they couldnt compare. Dumpling House is the real deal.
Awful!
Delicious dumplings and sautéed green beans
The chicken was rubbery and very unpleasant.
Got takeout from dumpling house today. Just ordered off their best sellers menu and it was fantastic. Absolutely delicious dumplings. Can t wait to get more.
I love this place! Delicious dumplings, and always packed with care. We ordered delivery from Dumpling House yesterday, and they sent us some free sesame pancakes, which were an absolute delight. Well definitely be ordering them going forward.
so good
Affordable, big portions, and quick service. Love the noodles in Peking sauce.. very filling! Lots of different varieties of dumplings. Best place for something quick and tasty in east Chinatown.
Loved the pan fried dumplings!
In my opinion some of the best soup dumplings in toronto, really great in house chilli oil. Need to try them at least once if you re from Toronto. I go there once a week
The worst experience I have had. And I work at retail. The girl who served us was rude and just didn t seem to wanna even be working. I asked for fried dumpling. They legit put the dumpling in the fry pan for a min to grill and it was only one side that was even grilled. When even going to pick up the order after 10 mins my food was just sitting on the table and no one in there. I had to yell and bang on the plastic sheets to get attention so I can ask for hot sauce. These people just don t seem to care about having customer care. Would never go again. I couldn t post 0 stars.. so I had to at least put one.
I dream of hot soup dumplings from our familys favorite kitchen!
High quality delicious food. Friendly service. My new favourite take-out place. I get cravings for the spring onion pancakes. Highly recommend.
We Loved the food and many options. With 6 different dishes they were all enjoyable. Quick ordering over the phone for take out. Dumpling House is the real deal. Absolutely delicious. It was our first time and we will see you again.
Low quality meat, lack of vegetables, greasy and not very flavorful. Tastes like greasy spoon quality fast food Chinese food. Quite overpriced for the low quality.
Delicious food, affordable prices, many options, traditional dumplings, friendly staff. Ive been to this restaurant for a couple of times and have always had a good experience and the food is always good - tasty. PS. cash or accept debit for above $20 bill.
Just ordered for pickup, it was so delicious! And the lady at the front was so sweet! Definitely coming back for more! :)
Overall, I loved their dumpling menu items. Notable mention goes towards their soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings as those were my favourite. Not really considering this place for dessert, I was surprised by how good their Sesame pancake dessert was. One of my favourite places in the area
Best Chinese in old Chinatown.
Food so good.
Tried their Ja Jang Noodles, was pretty fresh, portion was quite big for the price. Service is not bad, the restaurant isnt huge, but its fairly comfortable and clean.
It was very good and affordable!
I had heard great things about this place and unfortunately it was exceedingly disappointing. The hot and sour soup was bland but it took them so long to bring anymore food for the table we ended up eating most of the order out of hunger. We also had the pickled cabbage and pork steamed dumplings which were inedible. The biggest disappointment was the soup dumplings (which we had specifically come to try) that were bone dry. Despite being severely under staffed, they tried their best. The braised eggplant was good and the pan fried chive and pork dumplings werent bad. However, overall would not recommend.
Im a regular. They make amazing Chinese food and have an extensive menu.
This was supposed to be general Tao chicken but is looks like they took sweet and sour chicken balls and added the general Tao sauce to them bot very good
The ambiance and food are very homey. If they accepted credit cards, they would be even better.
Dumplings are fresh and service is fast. Small dining area but the food is good and prices are reasonable. Everyone else in my group was satisfied with everything as well. Give this restaurant a try if you want dumpling soup.
We usually order dumplings for pickup but tonight decided to dine brick and mortar style. We ordered too much food - the plates are perfectly sized for sharing. The standouts from tonight s meal were the hot and sour soup (the noodles were perfectly chewy), the fried lamb dumplings and the scallion pancake. The food came out rather quickly and the booths made our experience feel cozy for a cold Toronto night.
Worst service ever. Slowest restaurant in the city
Excellent food. Great value.
Great welcome and very helpful! Tasty dishes in quantity, nothing to complain about, I highly recommend
Always leave smiling, amazing food great prices
