This is my favourite noodle place. :) I come here every week or more.

The service in the restaurant is very satisfactory, and compared with other high-end meals, it is not inferior. As soon as we sat down, the waiter asked if we would like water or hot tea. When the tea was served, free fried peanuts were served. Although it was free, the quality was good and delicious! Since my wife is a vegetarian, the waiter carefully inquired about her vegetarian requirements and added soybeans and mushrooms to replace the meat in the meal. There was no extra charge. This service attitude was simply top-notch. In addition, rice noodles can be added to the Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles meal for free. The food is of good quality, tastes good and is not greasy. All in all, the service, food quality and price are all impeccable; I will definitely come back again, and I sincerely recommend it!

Ive been 3 times to this place now...in less than one months time and I love their curry broth!!! :) I took my parents yesterday - it was their first time and they enjoyed it!!! UPDATE as of May 15, 2023 The quality and service of this place has not changed one bit!! I went with my freighbour (Jamil) here tonight and he was also very happy with everything (again!!) Hence we gave a 30% tip!! Im just sooooo glad this place survived the pandemic!! Im also glad I had a chance to take my dear late Mom here in 2018 to try this place as she went to heaven in 2019 She was also very pleased with this place!! I was sooooo happy in returning to my happy place for dinner with my friend/neighbour/brother. I tried their deep fried tofu bites and it was sooooo yummy!! As always, excellent food and service!! This is a Chinese restaurant and the service is better than more generous than most of the high end western restaurants. The waitress are so nice, and not to mention the food. Highly recommended!

Okay so over my few years as a U of at undergrad this restaurant has been my most frequented (like a hundred times). The pricing is very reasonable, the food is delicious (I recommend rice because it s rich in protein), the staff are friendly too. Honestly gonna miss this go-to place for dinner after I graduate

Wonderful restaurant, good service

Pros: the food was delicious, and large portion.There are vegetarian options but they are just a meat dish with the meat taken out. Not on the actual menu. My cons: (there was another review showing a worm maggot in her food and my thoughts about their kitchen might be correct) The toilets downstairs were alright but there were dead bugs on the ground like cockroaches and those things with the long legs. That is disgusting because of the are there, that means no one cares to clean them or get rid of them. And it means they are everywhere. It scares me to think how the kitchen looks. The other review confirms, maggot in food) dont think I will return. my vegetarian curry soup was too salty and it wasnt as full as the one my mother got. They took the meat out of the dish (its supposed to come with meat, and they didnt put anything else instead but I paid the same amount). My mothers soup needed salt. . I would return but with great hesitation due to the bugs issue (I dont want maggots in my food). Please add an actual vegetable options on the menu and fix your bug\ hygiene issue in the kitchen. Regarding the staff, the gentleman was very polite and helpful in helping us from choosing from the menu to consuming the food. One of the female waitress was very rude though. We could tell she was eyeing customers and talking in an angry tone to the other waitress (racist maybe). We asked her for a fork because my mother doesnt use chopsticks and she decided to go clean tables instead while we waited and my mother couldnt get to her food properly. I had to ask her again while she continued to clean the tables and she got angry and gave me attitude. I found this very disturbing. There is no room for racism. She then went to another customer who had just gotten his food and started putting all the veggies in his soup bowl without his permission. He returned to the table seeing her doing that and started pleading for her to please stop saying no no no no no please stop! (I dont think he wanted all the veggies in his soup) but she wouldnt listen and continued to put all the veggies in his bowl. (Sucked to be him) The other waitress was nice though but didnt speak English so there was a communication problem when cashing out. Mostly the dead cockroaches and bugs and the paycho waitress gave it a bad atmosphere. Vegetarian options: They dont have actual vegetarian dishes on the menu, but there are some that are vegetarian based(the soup) where they will take out the meat from the dish. The bowl I received was almost half way empty because they took out the meat meanwhile my mothers was much larger due to the meat. They gave me frozen tofu to put into my hot soup, Im not sure if that was instead of the meat. It would be easier to understand if they just made a menu item that was vegetarian. this place was garbage they served. the. wrong food, i orderd a tomato and my. friend ordered a original. they said they served. original but they actually served tomato. they took the bowl away and added some meat and veggies and mushroom. I didnt like mushrooms and whenever I ate them my stomach starts to ache. the food tasted. horrible. the people also had bad hygiene and spat saliva on the ground. itwas also really expensive. the lollipop they gave at the end was also halved.

Great value friendly staff

I took my family for a walk this afternoon and passed by the store, which was attracted by the crowds of people. I wondered why there were so many people at almost 3 oclock. We were greeted by the friendly boss and sat down to order. The portions were delicious enough and the prices were approachable. The waitresses in the store were all very friendly. Very polite and smiling. It s rare to find a delicious and relaxing restaurant in Toronto. It s worth trying. It s a great experience and I ll come back next time!

This rice noodles restaurant is an incredible find! The tomato broth is fresh and flavorful, and my bowl came with six pieces of beef, all from the best cuts of brisket. Whether it was intentional or I got lucky, the meat was all lean with just the right amount of tendon, no fat, and perfectly tender without being dry. The texture was spot on. Compared to my friend s original broth, I personally preferred the tomato beef brisket broth, as it had a subtle sweetness from the tomatoes that made it even more delicious.

Tasty food | Big portions

Food is normal, nothing special. Didnt like that food were served to people before me when they arrived after me and accepting cash/debit card only is inconvenient. Fortunately, I had some cash with me.

My go-to rice noodle place with unlimited noodle refills, happy hour combos from 2-5, best prices, and good service. Love the curry and the tomato brisket. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Owner and servers were beyond kind and accommodated for me and my friend s food restrictions + preferences. You can replace any of the toppings you get with alternatives and get extra noodles (for free!) as well. The broth was refreshing and they offer a great variety of soup bases, the noodles were also great. Overall, a very cozy noodle place I think anyone would enjoy going to! Vegetarian options: You can opt out of any of the sides/toppings and replace them with other ones; my friend got his meat replaced for more vegetables.

Fudao Noodle House is an absolute gem! The food is amazing the noodles come in hot stone pots, keeping them warm throughout the meal, and the flavors are spot on. Plus, they offer free extra noodles, which is a steal for the price, as well as allowing you to swap out whats in the noodles. They even have vegetarian tofu options even though its not on the menu, just ask your waiter. But what really blew me away was the service easily some of the best Ive ever had in the GTA. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. If you love noodles and great service, you need to check this place out!

Simple restaurant with great food & service and many regulars

This is the best meal I have had in the past 10 days in Toronto! The rice noodles are springy, with plenty of ingredients and the soup is fresh and sweet. I feel homesick after eating

Food was delicious and hot! You really get your moneys worth here. We came for the lunch special (2-5pm) and couldnt even finish my noodles and had to take it home. Servers were so friendly and helped us pack our leftovers away as well. Do note that they only take cash or debit but there is an ATM inside.

Ive been coming to this restaurant since it first opened in 2017. The taste has never changed, and the prices remain affordable. Most importantly, the owner is incredibly kind, always offering free refills and remembering regulars like old friends. This place is my number one spot in the city, filled with countless memories shared with my friends. Its the kind of comfort food you long for after a long flight or on a chilly winter day, bringing warmth and familiarity to every visit.

Novel concept of cooking noodles and meat in your own ceramic noodle bowl- mini hotpot I guess. There are plentiful ingredients to add to your soup and they dont seem to add msg to their food. The service is great- the boss and servers are very friendly and responsive.

The noodle soup was so good. My son and I were delighted.

The attitude of the boss and the clerk was very good. I ordered a three-cup chicken and told them that it tasted too salty. The boss thanked me very kindly for my opinion, confiscated my money, and also gave me side dishes. The service was top-notch!

Amazing customer service

As you enter, there is a sign on the front door with Cash or local debit cards only. They do however have an ATM inside. Very convenient. There are a good variety of noodles to choose from, with different soup base and meats/seafood. The Fudao House Special noodle N1 is really tasty and the broth is not oily or too salty. Really good value!

Awesome and service is good!

A small rice noodle shop, but very clean. What surprised me was that there was a toilet, downtown! The boss and the little sisters have very good attitudes. When paying the bill, the boss thoughtfully asked if he wanted to take it home. Fried peanuts come with a small plate for free. I like eating them, so I ordered another small plate. I gave the tip willingly, but the boss was more generous and packed me another box of peanuts!

I have ordered so many times from this restaurant and the flavour and food were ok, however, today I ordered the Rice noodles with beef brisket in tomato soup and to my surprise I found a WORM on the food. Disgusting!!! I dont know if the worm came from any veggies, meet or anywhere, the point is the hygiene of this restaurant is lacking. I dont even want to think what the kitchen looks like. Horrendous!

Pretty good serving size of soup for the price ( I shared one soup plus sides and added meats with a friend). Wish there was a vegetarian spicy soup option just for the flexibility but oh well.

This place is the absolute best. Nothing like a bowl of the classic Fudao Noodle Soup on a cold day. Price is super affordable, especially the lunch combo and you get a tonne of food. I used to sit at the windowsill munching on the Curry Soup watching people walk by, browsing the menu and making the regrettable decision to dine somewhere else. Don t sleep on this spot, it s fantastic!

The taste is good, the portion is generous, and the price is very good. However, a certain waitress is really rude sometimes. I hope the service attitude can be improved. Because I really like the owner of this store and he is a very nice person, so I also want this store to get better and better. .

This shop has above average rice noodle but what really shined was their service. For these types of fast sit down places usually the staff is just order and go, but there they came back and check on the patrons and refills water and snacks. Got the chicken ginseng and crossing the bridge noodle, the food was good but there wasn t a wow factor, hence the 4 stars. Parking: Go for the paid green P parking garage nearby. There s one at Dundas and Spadina and another one just around the corner on Nassau.

2023 update: Still the place to go for affordable rice noodles! They have a deal where you can get an appetite, noodles, toppings, and a drink for around $20 after tax and tip. There are also choices for different dietary restrictions. Washrooms are downstairs. 2018: Good value: boiling broth, unlimited noodles, and 10 side dishes. From my experience, the broth is quite lean and the noodles are nothing special - it tastes healthy to me for some reason. Clean washrooms

Gluten free soup! Spoke with the owner who was understanding about gluten free, said all the soup bases have no wheat and uses rice noodles. Was delicious and had a warm bowl of yummy soup for under $20!

This is a great noodle place on Spadina. Portions are generous and the food was really good. They have an excellent lunch special that is really worth it. Great options for vegetarians too. The inside is basic, but nice. Theyre not trying to trick you with a fancy look. Our server was friendly and showed us how to assemble everything properly. The service was also quick and efficient. My new go to spot for noodle soups! The broth was a perfect balance of umami and tang (tomato broth) and I absolutely loved the toppings. The complimentary salted roasted peanuts reminded me of being in China and was a wonderful snack prior to our meal. Our server was super warm and kind too

Curry noodle bowl amazing, large portions, fast, friendly service

Just a very solid, reasonably priced bowl of noodles. I m not sure if it s still the case but the rice noodles can be refilled for free. Every broth I ve tried so far (original, tom yum and curry) were great. Side dishes are not bad either. Edit September 2023: still 5/5. Tried their Basil Chicken rice dish and it was fantastic. Price is still reasonable as well. Service was excellent too.

The best rice noodles around Chinatown! You get unlimited refills and the portion is already so filling. The owner and the staff are super friendly and attentive. This is my go-to spot for some comforting soup and noodles. And it s also so valuable - it s almost impossible to find a better price downtown for this much food.

Updated Review: Blown away by the service! We visited during the pandemic (Stage 3) with a group of 5 and the manager (who were thinking) provided us with an amazing service. Weve been here before and the previous service staff was alright. With the manager on shift, we were provided impeccable service. No peanuts now, but we got a free pop instead! The manager also proceeded to keep checking on our water (without us asking) and even offered us replacement noodles as it sat for too long (at free of charge as well)! The quality of the food is still consistent and the side dishes are still just as amazing! The tomato brisket was also amazing too (new try this time)! We had at least 6 decent pieces of brisket and all the items were pre-tossed in for cooking thoroughly. We ordered the potato salad, cut chicken in chili sauce and popcorn chicken (all delicious)! The manager didnt need to be that thorough but he definitely made our night! They still take cash or debit like before! The menus are now plastic for ease of cleaning (vs the paper menu ones from before) and they had paper cups as well for sanitary reasons. Review from 3 years ago: We walked down Spadina and came across this Noodle House! We were surprised and glad we found this gem! Food was great, soup base tasted delicious (I had the Tomato one) and service was quick! I got the Tomato soup base and I was delighted by the flavour of it! So good! With the extra toppings (for a surcharge), they put the extra toppings in the soup base when they deliver it to your table. Location is optimally close to both College or Dundas Street if needed for transit access and also along the Spadina line as well. Bonus! Also, every table spot had a paper menu so that each diner can customize their food choice. For $8.99, you get a decent sized bowl of noodles & toppings (free extra servings of noodles if needed). Once menu is put in, servers come back out with the 10 toppings in a convenient tray that come with the each noodle bowl. They change up the 10 toppings you get depending on the season as well with some standards like corn and greens which is a nice touch!

They are heartwarming people and you can tell by the food they make. I ve been here for almost 10 years and the quality of everything is still there.

One of my favourite noodle spots in Toronto. Very down to earth, simple, good quality food and very reasonably priced. The appetizers are great too.

My heart and soul, my shelter in cold and tough times. Bless their hearts, if this place ever closes I will cry a river. This place supported me through university and I ve probably visited over 50 times. Always hot, consistent, and delicious.

Lunch set is amazing (before 5pm). You get your , snacks and soft drinks for 16 dollars. Huge portion with the snacks I love the fishball that s is tasty and the soup base is fresh. Staff are also nice and good hospitality. Washroom is neat.

The N6 spicy soup was something else

This is one of the reasons why my store touches me so much and keeps me coming back. The people here are so warm. In addition to hot soup and lunch combos, the owner and staff run the restaurant with a very kind and caring attitude. Thank you for noticing that I was not feeling well and choosing to care about me. Thank you for bringing hot water and chocolate. You even packed a piece of ginger for me and reminded me to make ginger tea to relieve the pain. More gratitude comes from your heartfelt warmth that touches me. Maybe this is an exaggeration, but you appeared like an angel. She agrees with a passage that I particularly like: What you want to gain, you must pay for it first. If you are willing to pay attention first, you deserve angels to help you, and you deserve all the good things. Thank you for your seriousness( )

It was worth the wait. The food was very good and made you happy and full. So much food that we needed to take it home. The server was kind and friendly loved her patience. As a causian I felt really good in between the guest. No judgmental looks or else. Thank you :) Wheelchair accessibility: Might be a bit tight to manouver a electric one but manual one be ok.
