The food is good I would have given them a higher rating if they had honored their offer for 10% offer on cash and debit transactions (btw they dont accept credit cards). Message to the owner: please honour your commitment and if you cant, please have appropriate signage. BTW, I am putting this message only as a well-wisher....I kinda know you from IBM

Great takeout food. Been getting food from there for many years and it never disappoints!

We have been dining at this restaurants for almost 10 years now. It is a family owned restaurant. Good, clean, delicious food. Dennis, Jenny & their entire team, have a warm welcoming smile. I love all their dishes. Our favourites are chicken lollipop, chicken pakoras, manchow soup, chicken fried rice, Chinese chicken chop suey, green beans and my wife loves garlic fish without batter and salt. :) They cater to the community by being mindful and, serve halal meats (chicken & beef), fish with vegetables of course. :)

Always the most delicious halal hakka food in the GTA. Been coming to this place for over 15 years, without a chance in quality. Personal fav: chicken Hakka chowmein, garlic chicken, Bombay chicken, crispy beef, general Tsao chicken, Manchurian chicken Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for kids.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!, I CAME HERE COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO MAY BE LAST Year and I ordered Vegetarian Manchurian rice And it was a normal dish served exactly how it is supposed to be served. Today When I came here server was Talking about chicken Manchurian this & that I said I want something in vegetarian Manchurian he showed me a similar dish from All day special after 5 min I got it & it was just rice with veggies inside when I complained server said he didnt do Anything wrong, I said I dont want this but SERVER WAS PRESSURING ME TO PAY FOR THAT DISH she said we provide FLAVOUR OF MANCHURIAN with rice and I should have asked server If I wanted those PAKORASbecause vegetarian Manchurian rice just gives you FLAVOUR of Manchurian and not the actual Balls I have to ask for it SPECIFICALLY! Like Seriously guys??? Its Like Ordering for chicken Shwarama and Specifying that I want pieces of chicken inside as well Just google or ChatGpt the meaning of Manchurian you will get Your answer! Teach your server to explain or Specify that Thing in your Menu

Not what it was years ago. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, Bombay fish, chicken and fish pakora , and 2 orders of spring rolls. The chicken pakora has no taste The Bombay fish masala was non existent , it was just fish pakora with spicy vegetables. The fish pakora has a slight fishy smell The spring rolls were not filled properly To top it all off, they did not include complimentary rice as other restaurants would. Also, when is a small can of soda $2. Not good not worth $77. Dietary restrictions: Halal

Visited yesterday with my kids and the staff were very cheerful and accommodating with shutting the outside door so our kids would feel comfortable while eating. Was nice to go to a hakka restaurant where your not treated like a cash machine, and where the owners actually make eye contact and smile. Food was great, as always... my kids ate faster than me, which never happens lol. The only thing was that the bill was the highest that weve paid at any hakka restaurant... maybe this was because the rice was not included with the order, so I had to order steamed rice separately a few times... not sure. Overall, great family vibe here!

I ordered American Chopsy veg which was my all time favourite until today.The prices have gone up and the quality definitely has gone down.The Chopsy taste more like vegetables dipped in tomato ketchup without garlic,ginger and any flavours.It took them 30 minutes which is fine as long as it fulfils the flavour but the justification today was incomplete.I might consider other restaurants over Hakka garden going forward

Food is decent and location is convenient. The place is small so plan accordingly for a large group. But overall good food and good people.

Sad to say but the taste of the food has gone down at this joint while the prices have gone up by almost 50%.

Yummy! Would recommend the Bombay Paneer, Chilli Potato with gravy, and Vegetable Delight. Also: there is a female staff there who has been there a while, Asian lady: her customer service is impeccable. Great work! Food

Have been going here legit for over 13 years! Simply the best Hakka spot East of Yonge St. Even though I moved out of Toronto, I make sure to hit them up when Im back in town! The food quality has never gone down, still as delicious as ever, Manchurian chicken dry, with egg fried is my go to meal! I wish they would open up more locations!

This is our go-to hakka chinese place. Favourite dishes are chilli chicken with gravy and kung pao. Also their chicken corn soup is very good. They are fast and efficient and the taste is reliable. We sway to other places on and off but keep coming back to the garden.

We are living in 2023 in Canada and I can not use a credit card at this restaurant unbelievable. I think paying tax to government is not favorite thing to do.

The 10% dine in service fee was a surprise. Other than that, great food! The lemon pepper spicy shrimp amazing.

The food here is phenomenal. The consistency of their Hakka food has been the same over all these years. This is one of the first places where I got exposed to Hakka food and Im so glad I did. Their food is good, but the service is absolute garbage. We ordered a Chicken Lollipop and because I did not say Small, they automatically charged me for Large. They do care to ask their customer what size would they like?. When I complain the guys goes bring back 5 pieces of chicken Lollipop and take the refund.Never have i heard any restaurant say that, I wonder if they will give it to the next customer that would order Chicken Lollipop. No apology from the management. Also they charge extra 10% if you dine. Deeply Disappointed.

We loved the food . We ordered Garlic Noodles , Chicken Chilli Dry and Sweet corn soup . We had visited this place last year . Since then the food ,the cleanlines of the dining are and taste has improved . Its was really delicious. I was impressed by the change I felt since last year .

Delicious Hakka staples make this a solid choice for a visit. The fried noodles had an excellent char that gave the whole dish a nice lightly smokey flavour. The Hakka chicken has a nice crunch and a delicious spicy heat with a touch of sweetness. The fried wings had an excellent crunch. The seating area was a bit cold and loud but the food is so good I didnt really mind.

Great food...their service could improve a lot. Theres a Chef who works there name Daniel. Hes very authentic and one of the best chefs out there.

Despite the late hour and the urgency of my request, the restaurant was able to accommodate my order and deliver it promptly, exactly as promised. Even though I was clearly inconveniencing them with my last-minute order, they were unfailingly gracious and accommodating, and their customer service was top-notch. As a Taiwanese with decent knowledge of genuine Hakka culture. I can say dishes I ordered are good enough. I suggest this restaurant to Muslims who want to try genuine Hakka taste.

Spicy wings were off the charts hot! They dont take credit cards and add 10% tip automatically on dine in meals.

The prices are high and the portions are small. They definitely need to look at the size of portions that they give. Portions for eating in and takeaway both are small for the price that they charge. Food taste is a hit and miss with them. They take cash or debit only, no credit cards. Customer service is very unpredictable here between bad and worse very rarely fair. Sometimes you have to search for chicken in your food especially if you ordered Chicken Rice or Hot and sour chicken soup. The cleanliness has gone down too. Anyway Im stuck with them as I enjoy Chinese food and this is only place I know in the vicinity thats close to me. The other place is Much Worse THEN them.

Delicious but got way too expensive, paid about $100 for 3 people. It got twice as expensive after covid. Shame

I ve been to many Hakka restaurants throughout the GTA. I don t know what it is but for some reason, the taste of the food here stands out from the rest.

Food was ok, service was ok, price was ok. I just didn t like it. They did nothing wrong. It s just that food doesn t match the price and expectations. I know better places where cost/benefit matches.

Inedible food, unfortunately I had to throw it out. Will not return. Others may like it.

UI had the misfortune of dining at Haka Garden recently, and I must say, it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. The prices for the food were shockingly high, and the portions they served were anything but generous. Pretty decent food! Biggest plus is that ALL the food is halal. Reminded me of Desi pakistani Chinese back home right down to the sitting area and arrangements. Items tried Chicken lollipops - delicious and fresh Hakka chowmein- very tasty! A little on the wpicy side Beef chilli dry - a mix between spice and slight sweetness. Pretty good to try Garlic chicken - so so. Ive had better Not very accessible through ttc and a bunch of buses need to be changed to get there. So keep time on your hands as a buffer or take a car. A paan and kulfi shop right next to it in case you want to enjoy some desi kulfi and dessert. Dietary restrictions: Halal food!

This place has been my go to Hakka since 2013. The food portions got small for a while but they seem to have come back to normal after my visit today. For 10 years, this place has served me the most consistent, delicious Hakka food and Ive tried at least 20 Hakka places in the GTA including the fan favourites. In the Toronto area, this place is #1 for the food. My staples are: chicken fried rice with the crispy beef and spicy sting beans and white rice with the Manchurian fish, dry and spicy.

This place is complete garbage! I ordered chilli fish lunch special $10 plus tax comes with no drink.., 4 little pieces of fish pound of rice and sauce.. it s just full of batter no fish inside! It tastes gross! Never again your karma will come to you! Ripping people off!

Very nasty taste and burned

The food was terrible and very plain, also the take out container was very small comparing to other Chinese places which are 35% bigger. Rice doesn t come with anything so the plate is expensive and small and no rice. The place used to be really good

Since this business is located in the middle of a Muslim-dominated area, it claims to serve halal food, but I am not too sure. The restaurant has never been busy every time I have been here. Their soups are great and their prices sound reasonable. The male worker is kind of polite but the female worker couldnt care less about customers.

They apparently close at 8:45pm for dine in. So if you are relying on google for timings, don t do that!

I usually go for lunch specials (11-3pm weekdays). Food is good but prices are definitely higher than other halal Hakka places. You could argue its worth it for religious reasons because they dont supplement their profits with selling alcohol like most other Hakka restaurants do. They have started charging 10% mandatory service tax for dine-in and for extra takeout boxes/sauces. Small dine-in area but the seats by the windows are cozy if you go at a less busy time. Customer service is meh. Convenient location.

Its not about the food its about the policy of this restaurant and the fact that the boss has zero respect for customer!! Made an order on the phone and i called back after only 1 MINUTE and they said they cant change the order cuz the food was already ready !! Over 80 $ of order!! Ridiculous no consideration never hearddd this never experienced it !

Authentic Hakka experience

I invited one of my good friend with my kids, food was tasteless. we all decided we will never come back.

This place has the most amazing and authentic Chinese food. The place looks okay but is very clean. The service is pretty quick and food is fresh and warm. The food comes with a good portions size and very fair price. I tried their different dishes and I am never disappointed. I was so surprised by how delicious their soup tastes. They give you a good packing option for take out. Highly recommended place to have some excellent Chinese food.

EXCELLENT VARIETY OF FOOD CHINESE FOOD!!! I TRIED THIS PLACES FOOD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, AND IT TASTED HEAVENLY. I WENT TO THIS RESTAURANT WITH MY DAD AND SOME OF HIS FRIENDS. I HAD THE FOOD WITH PEPSI, AND THE PEPSI DRINK WENT WELL WITH THE FOOD. NOODLES, and DRY BEEF (I dont know the actual name of the dish) were soo good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLACE, WELL-BEHAVIOR EMPLOYEES ARE THE REASON WHY THIS RESTAURANT HAS FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I tried many Chinese restaurants, I found taste of this restaurant very good comparing many of the best restaurants in top 10 list. The staff is also friendly. Only negative side is the high price as per the quantity.

Excellent food

The staff was very very very rude. The lady on the reception desk had no basic decency to talk to customers. She behaved as if we are eating for free. Not just us, she talked rude to other customers as well in front of us. The menu was misleading but food was ok. If there wouldve been zero star, I wouldve rated that for customer service.

This is your average local Chinese spot, the food is delicious and fresh like always and I have no complains for the magnificent garlic shrimp, at this point you can tell I love the food but the only problem is we have been coming hear for almost a decade or more now and yet they treat us like regular consumers, not in an arrogant way but I expected at least a better attitude from the girl worker there, like I mean like it won t hurt to let us dine in 2 mins after you start closing, it s your benefit not ours you are the one earning the money so I don t get what s there to lose but good wise it s amazing .
