Our goal is not only to provide the best food, but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere for those who visit us. The magic of Asian cuisine is the art of sharing. A warm meal shared between friends and family, along with laughter and great conversation, is the essence of Chinese food. At Lee Chen, we provide a wide variety of Asian and Chinese dishes alongside an extensive drink list, including a selection of wines. After all, the best dining experiences combine both excellent service and delicious food, and we have both!
Great underrated gem. We had the crystal pork, Lee Chen fried rice, fried chicken, amongst several other dishes, and they were all amazing. Prices are reasonable given how close it is to downtown. Excellent service and atmosphere too. Will definitely come back!
Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos! Pieces of braised pork belly, with an attractive layering of melt-in-your-mouth fat and fall-apart tender meat bursts with a sweet soy ginger broth that can easily make pork or rice disappear, especially when you mix that sauce with it. Lovers of black pepper will be thoroughly satisfied with the potency of each bite of beef, stir-fried with a combo of onions, bell peppers and mushrooms.
The food at Lee Chen is always delicious! We usually get the soup dumplings, smashed cucumber salad and braised pork belly. The staff are always exceptional and friendly! Special shout out to Carmen, she makes all guests feel welcome and has wonderful recommendations. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
I became a regular when this restaurant was “369” in Unionville back in the late 90’s. They serve authentic Taiwanese -Shanghainese cuisine, scallion pancakes, soybean milk, fiery wonton, braised pork with buns…my recommendation is the Wuxi Spareribs, totally world class Service was always great and fast and warm like your friendly neighbour This location is just 2 mins walk from Yonge/Bloor in downtown Toronto
Good Chinese restaurant all round. Food quality, service as well as atmosphere are all on par. Most of the dishes we chose were the ones with more natural flavour instead of spicy ones. They all came as expected. Savory tofu soup was particularly good & quite special.
Nice clean place. The beef noodle soup exceeds expectation, the beef is juicy and soft, and the soup is very yummy. The fried rice cake and the lo Mein are delicious, and the peas leaves tips with mushrooms are fresh and soft. Decent Chinese in downtown area.
You can taste the quality. The Soup Dumplings were so delicious. Black Pepper Beef serves huge chunks of tender beef. Salt & Pepper Chicken was moist with a yummy crispy breading. I liked how the Lee Chen Fried Rice wasn’t greasy and was super tasty. It’s pricey, but worth it for fresh, flavourful, fine food.
I am confused as to why this particular location has received such low ratings. My experience there was very positive and the service was quick and efficient. The salt and pepper chicken I ordered was cooked to perfection - it was crispy on the outside and still moist inside. Also, the black pepper beef was cooked perfectly, medium well and very juicy. I particularly enjoyed the Lee Chen Fried Rice, which was delicious. Lastly, the dumplings were just as good as the best dumpling restaurant “Juicy Dumplings”. Now where Lee Chen suffers is the portion. The quantity doesn't reflect the price. But overall great place to dine.
The food was absolutely incredible. The sweet and sour chicken was the best I ve ever had. They even gave us free dessert!! Can t wait to go back
We ate fried rice and beef noodles. The taste was great The sanitary conditions were also the best among nearby restaurants. I visit this place often in Yorkville After the meal, I had a donut with cracked rice cake as a free dessert. It was a warm, delicious and happy meal I recommend it
The digital ordering system is very convenient. The menu had a wide range of Asian options and the food was decent but not impressive.
There is far better Chinese food downtown. The main dishes were disappointing. The black pepper beef was big honking chunks of chewy beef at least thin slice it and velvet it FFS. The General Tso chicken was surprisingly lacking in flavour. The $3 steamed rice was no more than a handful. To be fair, the wonton soup was delicious, and the asians/Chinese eating there the night we were there seemed to be tucking into big noodle soup bowls... So maybe soup is the way to go here? Based on the dishes we had meh... Id say go elsewhere.
New lunch menu at Lee Chen bistro. No more business lunches and less selections. Food quality still good. I ordered thenpork belly rice bowl.
Stopped by Lee Chen (Yonge Street) for a snack and the Bao certainly didn t disappoint. Ahmed was very friendly and polite. He spoke well about the dishes I ended up ordering for take out . Sweet sour fish. Pork belly Bao.soup filled dumpling. Chicken Chow Mein. Great food. Excellent customer service. This location has been our family go-to as it simply never disappoints.
Food was very mouth watering, I love that the chef came out and interact with us.
The seating area are very well arranged, the room very well lit , decors are very well suited for the brand , good service , the dishes we had were xiu mai , crystal pork belly , stir fried noodles and shrimp and rice
I enjoyed my meal there. Clean, tasty, fresh, and presented well.
I have been going here for years!! I have never had a bad meal or been disappointed the food is always fresh and delicious and the service is great!!
Service was extremely fast, our waiter was very nice, and the food was delicious
Carmen always take good care of us
Very nice restaurant
Just another amazing spot for excellent Asian food, music and ambience. I tried the veggie dumplings and chowmein which were made right with my customs( extra veggies and spicy) and truly satisfied my cravings for Asian food. A must visit if you love/ want your dumplings to be more than just cabbage.
Back again Crystal pork belly, rice string beans with mince and fried dumplings.... Seasame seed balls Favorites: Garlic beans Vegetable steamed dumplings Soup pork Dumplings Smashed Cucumber Pork belly Fried shrimp rice. Wait staff lovely and gave us complimentary sweet red mochi balls with sesame Very tasty! Lovely experience definitely will come again... Vegetarian options: Loves the garlic beans, vege Dumplings etx... Kid-friendliness: Big tables and the wait staff very friendly and helpful
Fantastic food and service
The food was a bit pricey but worth it. It was absolutely delicious. The server was lovely. Helpful and accommodating.
We had amazing experience here. The dishes were wonderful. The music was peaceful. We highly recommend this place for a weekend meal with your family or friends. PS the onion pancakes was delicious
Super stylish space with fresh and delicious Chinese food. Great service and atmosphere!
Gavins service attitude is excellent.
Great service, yummy food
Food was ok, its still good but some dishes were not as expected. The chili oil noodle looks and tastes a bit different from what you typically see in other places. Its not bad but just something you dont expect to see. Dim sum is good but theres not much choice variety.
This place is just amazing. The food is just fantastic. The service is top-notch. The ambience is super. And its so inexpensive.
I walked in expecting some run-of-the-mill Asian restaurant, simply to satisfy my craving for Asian food after 2 weeks of traveling in North America. But I was so wrong! The food and its taste here is top notch. And the service was amazing, with complimentary desserts. I end up coming here 2 days in a row, and ordering a few of the same dishes. Highly recommend anyone who is looking for an authentic Asian (Chinese) restaurant with reasonably priced menu in downtown Toronto.
Food: Food was absolutely tasteless. Also there was huge discrepancies between photo on the menu vs the food served. Plus the tiny portion of the set cost me almost $20 (w/tax) and still I had to buy a sandwich from the Tims across the road afterwards. Service: Understaffed with basically 1.5 persons serving the entire restaurant. Thus there was basically no service, like check-in, water refill etc since the exploited foreign worker friend was already running with his legs above his head. Wait time for food was long so Im assuming the kitchen was understaffed too. Also the female server had this great idea and flung food above my head from behind. This place is comical. Dont recommend.
Very tasty dishes!! Delicious food! We enjoyed a lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible. (OK).
YUM!! The soup dumplings here are so flavourful. Loved the chow mein too. Nice, straightforward, fresh-made food
Great food and service. The soup dim sum was soo delicious!
Such a cozy spot with the friendliest service :) and the food is amazing!!! I ll definitely be back soon!
This place is a hidden treasure. Although recommended by my coworker and knowing where it is , I almost bypassed Lee chen when heading towards it. I just wanted a quick work lunch, but what I got really exceeded my expectation: I got a good amount of varieties in a combo box and the quality of food is great, fresh and well cooked. What really surprised me was how they handled the take out: they wraped my meal box with aluminum foil to keep food hot for me to bring it back to office. With the price they charged, the food and service they offered , this is definitely a place that I would patron again.
The food was quickly served and had rich and flavourfull sauces. The shrimp, beef, chiken and soup dumpling were all fantastic! Aswell, the restuarant had supurb interior design!
Good News: They are using fresh-cut pineapple in their dishes! Bad news: I know it cuz I taste poorly-cut pineapple with peels still attached. (Not big problem, I prefer restaurants these days in Toronto that uses fresh fruits instead of canned stuff) Food : 4/5
Delicious food and amazing service!! Must try restaurant. Our server Isaac was great. Bonus clean washrooms.
Pork dumplings were swollen with filling and great, The soup dumplings were significantly smaller than advertised, but still very tasty Recommended dishes
Absolutely amazing chinese dumpling shop. Excellent wonton soup and the atmosphere, I mean wow. Although the bathroom is very nice, it is downstairs and therefore not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessibility: Bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible
Really enjoyed the dishes, soup dumplings and dessert!
Tasty but Small portions
Great food and atmosphere. Soup dumplings are a must and the pan fried dumplings are great as well. Resturant is on the smaller side so if youre in a group of 4+, you should probably call in and make a reservation and theyll join a few tables together Food
The freshest, tastiest dim sum I have had in ages! Every single dish was amazing. Recommend the pea shoots and any of the dumplings. Management was incredibly kind and attentive. 12/10 THANKS
My days, the food was sooo good and was ready quickly. I got the spicy beef noodle and the beef was so soft and well made We also got these delicious sesame balls as complimentary dessert. We placed our orders easily with an iPad that was given to our table. It was quiet upstairs and had a calm, dark ambience. My friends and I had an amazing time.
Such a lovely place to dine - the food was great (I especially loved the pork dumpling and the green onion pancake) and the owner was so friendly, which made the experience all the more warm and welcoming. Will be coming back!
The spicy beef soup and bbq chicken fried rice were delicious. Very generous portions and good prices.
Delicious!
Delicious !!!
excellent dan dan noodles great service perfect pepercorn spice on a chilly winter day Recommend you come after 1 lunch crowd is done eating !
Excellent food and service!
I don t know about their dining in experience, but their takeout was not good at all. The other location was way better.
Lee Chen Asian Bistro was so incredibly lovely! The food was sooooo tasty and truly home made! The soup dumplings were to die for. Every single item we ordered was so good! And I went with two children (we know how picky children are with food) they loved every single dish and we ordered seconds as well! One of the kiddos said best food Ive ever had and the other said best best best soup dumplings Ive ever had our server Hank was so lovely and the manager Carmen came out to bring us the homemade complimentary desert they had just made for us! Wonderful experience! We will be going back there A LOT!!! Thank you so much! You can tell that the manager cares about how this restaurant is run and cares about the enjoyment of the guests! Such a wonderful homelike feeling from the staff and the incredibly delicious food!
Food was really bad. My grandma and dad got food poisoning after this, they had stomach aches and threw up. They also did not have a lot of the things we ordered, ended up replacing with other dishes. Not what I wanted. Dont recommend. Never going back again.
They are very nice employee very friendly.
Surprisingly good portion and delicious food! We ordered the Tongpo Meat, Yuntun noodle soup, Shanghai fried noodles, broccoli fried beef, green onions pancake. Everything was good! They have fortune cookies too.
We are regulars at this place because the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Since the pandemic the order can be placed via a QR code on the table. All the staff are masked and the food is reasonably priced. It is also very close to the Yonge-Bloor subway station so its convenient.
We enjoy the food the service and the communication with the staff
Been eating here for a few years now and never regret coming here. Excellent food and service, makes me feel like home.
Delicious
Really good local food. Nice service
Great Taiwanese place. It is not the cheapest one you can find in town but the dishes are freshly made and delicious. The environment is comfortable as the tables are sparsely placed. Servers are helpful and polite. Will go back for other dishes.
5/5 recommended !
Excellent food and customer service. Highly recommend this place to eat if you love Chinese. We went there as a group of 10 and ordered a variety of dishes and they were all spectacular. Special mention to the shrimp, beef and pork dishes. The only drawback is the space was a little cramped for big groups to dine in. Not to forget the customer service being fantastic.
Very slow. Maybe your grandkids will get the food after ordering
They give us sesame balls for free when we ordered take out. Food is great!
This is called service
Had an amazing dinner date with my wife here. Amazing food, super good service especially our server Heng, and nice vibe. We ordered Chicken and Shrip sho mai- really flavourful and tasty. Chicken salt and pepper nice crispy and mildly seasoned fried chicken. Veg spring rolls- crispy as they get and full of yummy veg filling. For mains we ordered Kung pao chicken which was really nice, they nailed the sauce and Lee chen special fried rice which was a good quantity of flavourfull fried rice. A huge shoutout to Heng for being one of the best servers I ve met in a long time, kudos for his positive attitude. Will surely be back for more.
No frills restaurant but delicious soup dumplings!
Hadnt been back since they moved. Great variety of very tasty elaborate mostly shanghainese dishes. Carmen (Ling) is not only an efficient server, shes an astute and talented saleswoman. Highly recommended Upd 05/21/2023 Always the best, the food is delicious and Carmen is just amazing. Very highly recommended.
Fantastic dining experience! My daughter and I walked in 25 before closing yet they were gracious and served us and AMAZING meal. It was hands down the best and the freshest Chinese food I have had in a very long time. I had the Beef with Broccoli and it was delicious!! Maggie the owner or manager thanked us for coming in. She was so lovely. We were in Toronto to use the airport and when we return we will be dining at Lee Chen Asian Bistro again!
Friends and I, on a visit to the University of Toronto campus, were seeking Chinese food near Yonge & Bloor, and found Lee Chen s. Very glad we did! Ambience of this cosy restaurant has been created with care for customer comfort and enjoyment. Even the downstairs washrooms are beautiful! The food was very delicious. I had yummy Salt & Pepper Chicken, and my friends had spicier, authentic dishes. We left very happy and satisfied. Thank you, Lee Chen!
We order takeout from this place for excellent Chinese food. We tried many places in Toronto but stopped looking when we found Lee Chen. Always the best in Toronto. Nice and helpful people too.
Very nice and underrated place. Food is very good and served fast. Braised pork belly is shockingly authentic. Love that they gave you an actual tablet to order food.
Long waiting time
Very fresh great service
Hank gave us an amazing service, thank you Hank. Food is great!!! Ambient and decorations super relaxing. Price as well, food is fresh and the place is clean.
Good service and food
The service was amazing so many options on the manu.
Affordable price and fine quality :)
The most amazing soup dumplings and fried rice. I usually come here in person but when I have to use Uber eats I m even more impressed on how they package things to make sure the food comes hot! Dietary restrictions: They pay suck close attention to my allergies it s remarkable. Only Chinese restaurant I trust. They don t use MSG what a treat.
Its good, standard nothing to write home about
What a lovely spot! My friend and I sat in the window and watched people walk by. The servers were all attentive and there were vegetarian options for myself and dairy free options for my friend. Will be back!
Soup dumplings were great. Dumplings, wonton noodle soup, fiery dumplings were delicious. Excellent service.
The food tastes bad and the price is expensive
This is a hidden gem, the location is great as is right on Yonge Street very close to Yonge -Bloor intersection. The food menu has plenty of options, the food presentation and the taste were simply great and delicious. The staff was very welcoming, warm and friendly. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and felt very warm and welcoming as well. I will be returning and I would recommend you to visit if you in the downtown core.
Very good food and service, would definitely come again
Delicious food! We enjoy a lot the place and service too. Im already planning to visit it again soon!
We are vacationing in Toronto for a few days and wanted to try some good Asian food; this restaurant did not disappoint; from the moment I walked in I felt a good vibe; the atmosphere was relax and chill; we had a few dishes Steamed Vegetable Dumplings -- fresh vegetables and very good Pork Belly Bao - Grandson liked it - he loved the mystery of putting together his own appetizer Vegetable Spring Rolls - Very fresh and crispy - 5 star on this Vegetable Fried Rice - excellent very fresh - 5 star on this too Chicken & Broccoli - was okay nothing special but fresh Sweet & Sour Chicken -- was okay - too much sweet & sour sauce Beef & Broccoli - again was okay nothing special but fresh The food was cooked very well and came out fast Very neat they have the robotic server The restaurant was very clean including the restroom was spotless; overall a good experience and if in town again would come back
Very quiet place to relax and recharge right by the heart of Torontos Bloor & Yonge. The two ladies serving knew exactly when to ask without breaking the mood of the moment, while the folks in the kitchen quickly served up steaming hot meals. I had black pepper beef and wonton soup. This Chinese themed restaurant offers a wide range of reasonably priced dishes, while the tranquil music makes this a tiny oasis for tranquil contemplation before venturing out into the construction commotion of Yorkville area streets. I very much recommend coming here! Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the door, and staff kindly opens the doors for you.
Fantastic service, amazing food!
I had the beef noodles here and it was very good. Service was a bit slow but friendly. I noticed that the bathroom smelled of rodent urine and saw mouse dropping on the floor.
This is a great Chinese restaurant. I love the food. The prices are reasonable. This is my go-to restaurant to eat out on the weekend. I like kungpao chicken, soup dumplings green onion pie, jasmine tea is good. The place is very clean. Their bathroom is great. I like the music, and it is not too crowded. I highly recommend if you want to spend some time with your friends while having delicious Chinese food. They also give complimentary desserts sometimes. I love that.
This gem of a restaurant has become my new favourite go to place. Had the spicy beef soup , Highly recommend, and the prices are reasonable. Dinner for LESS than 20 bucks! Service phenomenal, food amazing and atmosphere relaxing and clean. And they gave us free red bean sesame balls for dessert which was epic and delicious!
Amazing food and quick service, clean and organized. Food came out on a robot! Bonus points for the calm atmosphere, busy but not overwhelming perfect dining environment. Food
love this quaint japanese like eatery...staff good...beef noodle bok choy soup excellent beef so tender....one of my fav intimate quiet places for great food in the bloor and yonge area...please try it
Carmen the manager made our dinning experience excellent! We came in late and although hesitant, they sat us. Carmen made sure all the food was piping hit and fresh. Our soup dumplings were delicious. Our pan fried dumplings were good and the crispy tofu and spring rolls didnt let us down either. The restaurant was closing but Carmen sent us off with sesame balls and fortune cookies. Great experience and good food.
I loved it here! I m a vegetarian and there were plenty of options including dumplings and tofu dishes. The desserts were really nice as well. The staff were kind and friendly. The food seemed to me to be authentic and it was good. Would go back and I would recommend it :)
The worst SHRIMP CHOW MEIN(16.5 bucks) I ever had in Toronto. Noodles are dry and tasteless. Only 6 Shrimps and are all supper small. More, I called them for my order, they said 20 minutes. After I arrived, I waited anther 20 minutes.
Loooovvvee their hot and sour soup!
The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic in recommending it to us. The dishes are very authentic, and many special snacks are only sold in his store. Especially recommend the xiaolongbao, the taste of childhood!
Aurora location: Fantastic dining space with good food using quality ingredients. Honestly the best Siu long bao, spicy beef tendons, salty soy bean milk, wore tip, fried noodles... Even the vegetarian dumplings was so good and we ordered it by mistake. Hans was the perfect host and explained everything to us. Price is good for the quality you get. We cant wait to go back!!! Thanks Hans!
The atmosphere at the old location was way better. Still decent food though portions are small and prettty oily. The staff accidentally cancelled the wrong drink but they were so nice about it and gave us free dessert. Awesome staff
Worst restaurant staff is un professional they don t wear mask while talking to customers no manners at all so disappointed
Worst restaurant I ever seen in my entire life, unethical staff and unhygienic food, seen the chef while preparing food no gloves and was full in sweat ewwwww ..plz dont eat or order food from this restaurant..waste of money too
Delicious!
Quality of food has declined, not sure Ill return
The prices are on the pricey side but food is yummy. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the food, but we wish there would be more non-spicy items on the menu to choose from. They also gave us free desserts and fortune cookies! EDIT: I went again once after they opened for dine-in but I feel like they prioritized other non-Asian customers instead of us. We also killed at least 10 mosquitoes while we were eating there...
This is a must try place in Toronto! Amazing variety of dishes, delicious meals, excellent service and reasonable prices!
Recently found this place but apparently this restaurant has been in the neighborhood for almost 10 years?! Shame on me for not knowing this great Chinese restaurant! Great service as well. I recommend highly!
Authentic Chinese foods and talktive nice boss
Delicious food, reasonable price, good service! The portion sizes are maybe a little smaller than a typical Chinese restaurant, but the taste is worth the value
Neat little place with good food. Friendly service too.
I visited this restaurant regularly from 2012 through 2020. The long term manager knows who we are and checks in to ensure meals are good. Dishes are pricier than most Chinese restaurants (only downside). My favourites are the beef noodle soup and the fried rice. They offer xiaolong bao as well. Good range of dishes, nice restaurant environment.
Excellent service, good fresh food. We went there two days ago around 2 pm, our server was super friendly!! The food is good and fresh, highly recommended!!
I ordered a Kung Pao Chicken set meal recommended by the store manager. The presentation was very delicate, but the taste was much worse. There was no Kung Pao Chicken flavor at all.
Delicious chinese food, probably the only place that serves an authentic Xiao Long Bao in the city paired with an amazing array of dishes. Ive come here mostly for their salty soy bean milk, fried rice, crystal pork belly but thoroughly enjoy their other dishes.
Perfect food!
Amazing food
Greasey, underwhelming, food wasnt great
Really decent Shanghainese restaurant with a good selection of classic dishes. We had dan dan noodles, pork belly, garlic green beans, nian gao sliced noodles with pickled cabbage, chive pancakes and xiao long bao dumplings. All were delicious and the service was great.
delicious delicious delicious! I am very picky about my food and this place never disappoints me. My favourite is their kung pao chicken! i also tried their pork, beef, seafood and other specialty dishes. I love them all. I tried Dine-in and take out. both good.
Parking: Only roadside parking
Loved the soup filled dumplings, and Wuxi spare ribs.
Soup dumplings are amazing!!!!
The chicken was so under cooked . Threw o whole dinner off waited over hour for the food to come and chicken raw . Disappointed
Dishes aren t cooked fresh. Heated by Microwave oven.
A it pricy for a lunch meal, but the taste is very authentic
Perfect after a visit at the Toronto Reference Library.
Delicious food and great service! We came in with a party of 11 people, and they got us seated quickly and were so friendly and helpful. The hostess even offered to take our picture when we were struggling to figure out how to get all of us into a selfie. The fried dumplings and onion pancakes are delicious. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.
The fried dumplings I ordered were raw.
Delicious asian food!
We came with a group of 17 ppl. They catered to us all. With speed and hospitality. They were kind and patient . The food was amazing. I ordered kungpao and it was yummy. I also tasted the soup filled dumplings..yummy.. and the house noodles were delicious for such a bland looking dish. Sesame balls were great. Others in our group tried the chow mein , the beef lettuce wraps the beef spicy soup bowl and the schezuan ishes and all loved them.. I highly recommend
Very average taste - food was severely under seasoned, i was given the wrong order and i was told i d been given a call from the manager- they didn t bother calling
Great quality of Chinese cuisine with good vibe. Their soup dumplings/wonton is delicious - highly recommended. Overall the experience definitely worth (maybe exceed) the price, will certainly visit again. Food : 5/5
Not bad at all. Ordered from the bar code on the table. Food was good! Friends and attentive staff
I heard this restaurant is quite authentic. The meatballs and stirred fried rice cakes were tasty. But the general Tao chicken was bland. overpriced.
I hadnt gone to Lee Chen Asian bistro inany years. The location had changed and it was a smaller space, but the food was still tasty and the service top notch. My friend and I shared their famous soup dumplings as well as the braised eggplant and white rice. The soup dumplings seemed a bit smaller than I remembered and there was not as much liquid but they were delicious. The eggplant could have used a little more sauce. I never say this of restaurant food, but it was missing salt. Other than that, service was great and all staff was very sanitary and wearing masks. Bathrooms were also very clean. Will definitely go again.
Incredible service and really amazing food!!!!
The soup dumplings, pulled pork buns and pork noodles are simply unbeatable. Everything is great here. Its also great you can order directly from your phone even when dining-in. Itll be great to be able to pay through that website too!
A delicious place for Asian cuisine! We got Xiao long baos, soybean and youtiao, crystal belly and noodles. All of the food was super delicious and very filling! The staff were very friendly!
Fried rice and xiao long bao are delicious, this is by far the closest restaurant in Toronto to Asian food
I love This place . Been there 2 times over last 2 years , and it s just great . Bamboo shoots are to die for . Strongly recommend. As well as beef tendons . Kung Pao chicken is also great . I can t really complain about anything. Service is good and fast . Food is tasty , location is great
So good! The best wonton soup ever! Packaged really well. Hot and fresh!! Chicken and broccoli was delish as well. My new favourite place!
Got a few options frombtg menu and they were pretty good, they would have been better in person I guess. Rice and spring rolls were not oily and right on point. Dumplings and soup dumplings were a bit dry, but still enjoyable (and maybe the trip did not favor them)
noodle soup and Bao are so good.
Food arrived quick. Everything was well packaged and food was warm, fresh and tasty!
Very friendly staff and service! :)
BBQ chicken fried rice is really good, green onion pancake and salt and pepper chicken! Those are my go-to!
Great food. The fried sesame balls are the best!
Really solid food, especially their Dan Dan Noodles. Great every time.
Amazing food and amazing service. Would definitely recommend the soup dumplings and spare tips.
Very nice Chinese restaurant, they take walk-ins which was fabulous for people who dont really plan to eat out but get hungry midday outside. The staff were polite, service is very prompt, and food quality is excellent especially their soup filled dumplings. They gave free desert and a fortune cookie too. Facilities were clean and safety is observed.
Very delicious food. The pork ribs are a bit on the pricey side, but they are definitely worth it. Super soft, just melt in your mouth. The restaurant also follows covid protocols closely.
We had a great time here! The food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming. Try the new sesame red bean dessert!
Nice clean small restaurant. We had eaten here before but at another location and enjoyed the food. Decided to go here for dinner. We were seated promptly and we re waited on by an attentive waitress. We got the pan fried dumplings which were really delicious and one main entree (Kung pao chicken)we shared between us with 2 sides of rice. Delicious food and the dessert (sesame balls) were so delicious. The dessert wasn t something I d normally try but I loved it. Would go here again.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in downtown Toronto in my opinion.
While visiting Toronto, we tried this magnificent restaurant. We were well received by the two employees. The restaurant is well decorated and warm. What we ate was simply delicious. We loved the free sesame dessert! To try!!!
Over priced and horrible... General Tsao Chicken full of steamed onions???
As someone who worked a three minute walk from this place for over two years, I am thoroughly disappointed in myself for not trying it until yesterday. What a wonderful experience; from ordering, to the service we received while picking up our order, to the food...everything was incredible! We ordered the Chow Mein noodles, which were delicious, The beef & broccoli, which I personally found a bit heavy on the garlic, but still very good! We got an order of the veggie spring rolls & the green onion pancake as well, which were both thoroughly enjoyed. We also received a delicious dessert which was not included in our order, but very much appreciated. All in all, we had a great first experience at this location & cant wait to explore more of their menu.
Must try Kung Pao Chicken, Shanghai Noodles, Sesame balls and veggie-stuffed dumplings! Great ambience and wonderful service. Liked everything there...one of the best places in downtown for Chinese cuisines.
Went to this restaurant on a Sunday night with a party of four. Service was excellent: very respectful and no pressure, food came with little wait time, all of the food surpassed our expectations and we were so pleased for a lovely evening in this Lee Chen location. Would recommend and would happily return to dine-in. Note: very few patrons were seated, only 3 tables with parties of 2. People come in for pick-up (Uber or takeout).
I ordered lunch from this restaurant and absolutely loved it! Their House Fried Race Cake with Pork was spot on: the rice cakes were the perfect chewy texture, the pieces of pork tender, and the greens crunchy and well flavored. We also ordered the Steamed Vegetable Dumplings which were folded beautifully and packed with a delicious greens and tofu filling. On top of that, the restaurant also gave us two complementary Golden Fried Sesame Balls which are my favorite dim sum dessert! Very happy with my takeout experience and look forward to eating here again.
The service was very good. The food was good, I would come back and try other items on the menu. The green onion pancakes were really good and Kung pao chicken was good. The general tso chicken, I would skip. It was not how you imagine general tso chicken. The texture of the chicken was really soft and it was just chicken and onion. We also tried the Shanghai noodles which were really good with their housemate hot sauce however I would ask for no mushrooms next time as I found the taste to be overpowering. Rice portions are a bit small compared to what you would normally get.
Clean with very good service. Keep original Shanghai flavor. Would come here again.
Hidden gem in Yorkville! Great selection of Chinese classics, most recommend their soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao), made fresh and you can definitely taste the difference. Service was great and they even offered me a free desert (sesame balls). Also, very clean and follows protocols closely so dont forget your vaccine proof!
Good service and nicely presented take out bag but food is bland.
Good food and taste. Excellent service.
Only if you want Authentic Westernized Chinese food.
Had a good lunch here with my wife, Service was good, did not wait long for food to arrive. They gave us free dessert after our meal (fried sesame balls) which paired really well with tea. Everything we had was on point, the chow mein had the smokey aroma of the wok, szechuan shrimp had a similar sauce to chilli crab, the xiao long bao (soup dumpling) had thin skin with delicious minced pork and broth with inside though Din Tai Fung is still the best xiao long bao Lee Chen s version is also good. The star of the show for me was the Crystal Pork Stew, the pork fat just melts in your mouth and hits you with a burst of flavour! Definitely a must try! My only comment was with the Har Gow (shrimp dumpling) the skin was too thick for my liking but otherwise it was ok.
Har gow and pan fried dumplings were good. General tso was disappointing as it s just soft, barely seasoned chicken with a ton of onions. Fried rice was also bland and not worth $16.
why 16$ for a freaking noodles??? not a good way to start business with a rip off!
This is a great restaurant, I am eating at it now with my sisters we are so glad with the good food they have. And the best part and thanks to Carmen who was our host she was great explaining every dish and guide us so professionally to choose. We will definitly come again to try another set of dishes they serve. I highly recommend trying it.
Great service and delicious food. Will come back again. Thank you.
