Down-to-earth place offering a large variety of Chinese dishes, including many seafood options.
This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Chinese food! Fresh ingredients and a decent price!!They're famous for their Chicken Pot, and it definitely lives up to the hype. The chicken is incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful – clearly prepared with expertise and care. But what really sets this dish apart is the soup. It's a rich, flavorful broth simmered with a blend of traditional Chinese herbs. Every spoonful is comforting and packed with deliciousness. You can really taste the depth of flavor that comes from those authentic ingredients. Besides the amazing food, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a truly delicious and authentic Chinese dining experience, look no further! Don't miss out on their signature Chicken Pot - you won't regret it!
My wife and I celebrated our birthdays here with our friends. The service was top-notch. The feeling of "賓至如歸" (for those who know Chinese) was truly felt. They are definitely not on the luxury end, but all the heartwarming service definitely left a lasting impression. Not to mention, they also have tasty chicken hot pot. The only downside: it's too far from me, I lived in the North.
After our long tattoo session, my client treated me a chicken hot pot at Sang’s Great Seafood Restaurant last night. Omg….we enjoying hot chicken soup while it was raining outside ..that was soo good!! Uncle waiters were very friendly and were committed to great service. The restaurant owner also gave us watermelon dessert for free. Most importantly, chicken soup made my day ❤️🥹
I would say this “Seafood Restaurant” is not only famous of deli seafoods dishes but also has tasty Cantonese food like Chicken Hotpot cooked with Traditional Chinese medicine and comes with its secret dip source, which is my favorite order. Great dining place with friends and family, highly recommended and don’t forget make a reservation before you come. Happy New Year ;)
I went here with 2 of my girlfriends, so that's 3 of us in total, and we had a good experience! We called ahead of time and booked a reservation for 8:30pm. Thank god we did because it was packed! We came here to try the Free Range chicken hot pot, and it did not disappoint. It was my first time trying it, and I absolutely love the broth. It was light, but it was still very flavourful. We then added spinach and glass noodles to soak up the soup. If you're not a huge fan of picking at the chicken bones, I'm not sure if this dish is for you. I have friends who just don't like doing the work to eat around the bones. The other dishes outside of hot pot were delicious. I absolutely loved King mushroom with Japanese tofu - I basically ate it all myself. And the crowd favourite was the beef with rice in a stone or clay pot. In total, we got: - Whole free range chicken hot pot - Spinach and glass noodle add-ins - Beef with rice in a hot pot - King mushroom with Japanese tofu - (1 beer) It was about $40 per person! I'm definitely going to come back here again and try more of their rice and stir fried dishes!
I understand this is quite a popular restaurant and my review may not fit in with the rest. I felt the food was extremely subpar specially for the price. The price is not in line with the quality of the food. Now, I probably didn’t get the best experience from this restaurant because we weren’t in the mood for hot pot, so we did not try the dish for which this restaurant is known. It is possible Sang’s Great Seafood is a one trick pony and anything other than the hot pot is going to miss the mark. That was my case. The atmosphere was actually pleasant with lots of young university students eating hotpot while socializing. We ordered the Cantonese Chow Mein, garlic broccoli, and tofu with mushrooms. The chow mein was too wet, even though I specifically asked for crispy noodles. The broccoli was the best dish. The Japanese tofu deep fried was ok too but nothing mind blowing. I might try to come back here for the hotpot but I wasn’t very impressed with my first time. Note worthy is the fact I saw some small insects crawling around the table. It’s possible they infiltrated the restaurant from outside since we sat close to the door which was wide open, but it’s just not something I want to even think about when I sit down to eat.
Sang's Great Seafood Restaurant, located in the heart of Chinatown at 343 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON M5T 2G3, is a culinary haven for those craving delicious hot pot. This Chinese restaurant is known for serving exceptionally flavorful dishes that will leave your taste buds in awe. One important tip to keep in mind is to always reserve a table in advance. This place is incredibly popular, and without a reservation, it can be challenging to secure a table, especially during peak hours. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this culinary delight. During my visit, we indulged in the Chicken Hot Pot with Chinese Herb Soup, specially prepared for three people. In addition, we ordered the Preserved Meat with Rice in Hot Pot and the Tofu Casserole. The portions were generous, and the flavors were simply outstanding. By the time we finished devouring all the food, including every last drop of soup, we were completely satisfied and pleasantly full. Speaking from personal experience, the Chinese Herb Soup, particularly the black chicken soup, is not only incredibly tasty but also believed to be beneficial for women's health. It's important to note that this perspective is personal and not from health professionals, but it adds to the allure of enjoying a bowl of this comforting soup. Sang's Great Seafood Restaurant is a true gem in the heart of Chinatown, offering mouthwatering hot pot that will undoubtedly leave you craving for more. The warm and inviting ambiance, coupled with their flavorsome dishes, create an unforgettable dining experience. Don't miss the chance to indulge in the delicious offerings at this outstanding restaurant. Reserve your table and treat yourself to a hot pot feast that will leave you satisfied and yearning for another visit.
The free range chicken hotpot is sooo good here. The soup was mild but at the same time having a strong chicken flavor. The soup was not too oily or too heavy, it was refreshing and light. Loved it!
When you check out, you must ask for receipts. The store charges money randomly. Dont just look at the total price, look at the unit price of the dishes. Otherwise, you will be overcharged for no reason.
The chicken pot they have is a must try, no wonder they re packed to the ceiling everyday. I also love their beef hofun with sauce, super authentic and delicious
No 1 hotpot place, great food and service.
Food is wonderful and the owner is super nice ! Will come back again for sure
Everything in the store is delicious. The black-bone chicken pot is very fragrant. The most amazing dish this time is the tamagoyaki tofu, which has a very good taste. And the waiters were also very enthusiastic, especially a very cheerful aunt with silver-blue hair, who gave us a very good service and dining experience. She carefully explained to us the cooking time of the chicken pot, and also asked us to prevent burns. . Had a great dining experience here.
Delicious. The boss is very nice.
Service and food is absolutely awful!!!! At the beginning the server just threw the menu on the table and left Without greeting the table and offering any drink. We gotta ask for the water after the food was already delivered on the table. Not only that, we even found hair in our food later on. We told the server about this incident and he just took the food away without apologize to us. Seriously??? No explaination?? That was disgusting. At the end another mid-age male server brought us the bill and pretended he doesn t speak Chinese. Come on?? I heard u was speaking mandarin and Cantonese to your coworker earlier all the time what s the point of pretending???? I can speak all these languages. Not sure if he wanna humiliate me with his broken English or what..worst experience ever. Please DO NOT come to this restaurant.
This is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in Canada! Nothing else! I was really speechless. Originally, I thought Wang Jiaer had been there and the reviews on Xiaohongshu were very good, so I wanted to give it a try. As soon as I walked in, I spoke to the three clerks in Cantonese and the clerk replied in Mandarin. It didn t matter, but he turned around and communicated with other store clerks in Cantonese and wasted no time? ! We sat down and another guy threw the menu on our table with a stinking face? ! The world-weary face understands, but what is this attitude? Lets forget it. We dont care if people are kind. After ordering, after waiting for n years, there was no drink (ordinary water) from when we sat down until the food was served, so we still asked for water! The original expectation dropped by more than half. After the dishes were served, they were all average. We ordered the lamb belly pot, seafood tofu and prince mushroom braised bean sprouts. The seafood tofu and bean sprouts were average and edible, but the mutton belly pot made me speechless. It made us feel like we were drinking soup. It was bland and watery... I forgot about it and just ate it with rice... but we didnt eat it. How many bites of meat are there a hair in? ! Or the hair. I was really dumbfounded. The more I thought about it, the more disgusted I became. I didn t know where it came from. I just asked the store clerk to return it. I didn t want it anymore. I lost my appetite. The store didn t apologize to us. I ate the remaining bean sprouts and tofu with a no-waste attitude. As you can imagine, I still didn t have enough appetite to finish the meal in the end... When we finally paid the bill, the clerk came over and asked us how much it would cost in Chinese. The funny thing was that he told us that he didn t speak Chinese; i dun speak Chinese only English? ! My friend replied in English. The clerk s English was so bad that he couldn t speak clearly. Even in English, I was convinced. What s going on in the world? Why is this restaurant asking? ! ! ! The reason I spoke Chinese to him was because he was communicating in Chinese with other store employees just a second ago Everyone, please be very careful! Lightning protection! Dont lose your way because of Wang Jiaer. We are just . I hope he will accept it when he sees good and can discuss going home and stop harming others.
I recently dined at this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. The food was bland and really not tasty at all. Even if the food had been bad, the service was worse staff were impatient and unhelpful. To top it off, the wait for the food was painfully long. Overall, I wouldn t recommend this restaurant at all.
Poor service, bad food
i saw this restaurant has a 4.2 stars rating on google so i decided to give it a try. Surpisingly not even the food is mediocre and expensive, the service is even worse. It tastes even worse that the restaurant which is only have 3.5 stars . Not recommended.
Food is mediocre and service is awful. I would rate a zero star if the system allow it.
Very Good
Decent food. Service a little rude. Prices decent.
The chicken pot for late night snack is fresh and delicious! The service from the overseas studying guy is enthusiastic!
Delicious, the best chicken pot ever
#1 best chicken hot pot in Toronto! Loved the watercress and lamb on the side. Very flavourful soup and amazing service. I enjoyed the clay pot rice too. I can t wait to come back again! I m already craving it.
Fresh chicken broth I love it
The food was very good, service great and the owner was nice
A very bad restaurant! Four of us went to eat today. When we were ordering, the middle-aged male waiter didnt say a word. He kept pointing at the menu and asked him what the hot pot was for. He glared at us and left. Halfway through the meal, we asked the waitress for a glass of warm water. She ignored us the first time and yelled at us the second time: There are only cold and hot ones. Do you want it or not? The service is terrible, and the food is shoddy. The portion of beef soup is pitifully small, but the price is very expensive. A very disgusting restaurant! Today we four people went to this restaurant, when we were ordering the waiter kept using his fingers pointing at the menu and refused to talk with us. When I asked him whats the hot pot used to, he stared at me and went away. In the middle I asked the waitress to give us a cup of warm water, first time she ignored me and when I asked her second time, she shouted to us: Only hot and cold, you want or not? Its really Disgusting service, and their dish is also terrible. The beef soup is very little and not enough for 4 people, but its price is very high.
Best place
Unreal at 1 am
Very delicious, especially the black pepper beef fillet
Love back then!
Food
Mediocre experience, ordered their famous chicken pot and a fish filet, the latter dish tastes good but it has more vegetables than fish, I guess its good since you can skip ordering any veggie dishes. The hot pot is also quite tasty but it contains too much alcohol for our liking, might be better suited for winter time, the alcohol eventually boils off as well. This place is incredibly over-hyped on Chinese social media, just go in with tempered expectations. The server is a bit rude, although its not unexpected for many Chinese restaurants, the owner is pretty nice and proactive. But when we asked to get the left over hot pot soup to go, we only got a very small take out containers worth, even though there are over half a pot of soup left. Finally, there is an awfully loud group of guests near us, so loud that it literally made my ears ring, and it was actually hard to hear our own voices while they were talking. While its not the restaurants fault, we do wish that they could go and ask them to keep the volume down so that its not so disruptive to the other patrons. But again, its not their fault, some people may need to learn manners or perhaps have their hearing checked.
A winter haven for students
Just too good! The friend rice was amazing
except chicken hot pot, the other is so so so.
My friends and I came today but the servers were so rude. They served us like we beg them for food and not welcome us to their restaurant. At the end, when we asked if we could get togo boxes, they were just ignored us and let us sit waiting. We didnt get leftover after all. Such a bad experience.
I enjoyed my time. Kind staff, just the right amount. Theyre not overbearing nor inattentive. Food food are tasty and authentic. I had fun eating and chatting with my friends.
Home special pan fried chicken. Crispy outside, tender and juicy inside.
I have to say, Sangs Great serves some of the most delicious hot pot in Chinatown. But whats even better is their seafood - its simply outstanding! From the lobster (which is my personal favorite), the crab, the live shrimp swimming in the tank in the back kitchen, the clams, and the salt & pepper shrimp - the options are endless. And I havent even mentioned the seafood hot & sour soup or the pork wontons yet! My recommendation is to sit by the window and enjoy the lobster. Trust me, its worth it!
So delicious! Live double lobster and herbal chicken hot pot! Amazing!
Rich comes my eternal love! !
This place is absurd. The closing time is listed as 2:00am but when me and my friends showed up at 1:00am the other night, we were told that we couldnt be seated - with no specific reason provided. I assume the kitchen may have been closed; if so (if, for example, it closes one hour before the restaurant closes) then they should make that clear both online and on the entrance door. But I get a sense that theyre quite classless and dont have much concern for customer service.
Probably one of the best late night Chinese food spots in the city.
The food is always so good, I love their Hong Kong style seafood dishes (lobster or soft shell crab). Always crowded and need to book for table. This restaurant is my favourite spot for friends gathering.
Time tested late night spot with amazing general tao chicken
THE BEST!! When will you open another location in the northern gta Markham and Richmond hill friends are driving so far
The chicken soup is really delicious! Would very much like to go again. The service is also very good. They will come to ask if they want to add chicken soup, and they will also chat for a while, which makes people feel very friendly!
Come and enjoy the atmosphere, it s crowded and lively. But it really doesnt taste good. The lid of the clay pot rice was taken away when it was served. There was no soy sauce on the side of the pot and the rice was not scorched. It was not authentic. . Its hard to comment on the chicken pot. The chicken was chopped too finely, and the parts were very poor. It was all bones. At this price, the boss cant do this business, its too stingy. The service attitude is quite good.
Jason is pretty nice. His dad is nice too.
A friend of mine once recommended this Cantonese-style chicken hotpot to me. After eating it, my family and I agreed that it was the most authentic we have eaten outside of Guangdong, China. It is also cheap and there is an indoor parking lot nearby.
I ordered the seabass pot, and it was listed as 65 on the menu and 85 on the bill. I didn t realize it until I paid the bill... 85 to eat a small seabass before tax... I d better go somewhere else to eat it.
The chicken pot is delicious and nourishing, and the boss is very nice
The food was delicious!!! It was so fresh and was cooked very well. Im a picky eater and this restaurant satisfied my taste buds as well as my boyfriend. Cant wait to try something else on the menu.
The service attitude was extremely poor. We made reservations all day long and made phone calls. Finally, we were able to reserve a table. However, when we arrived, the store refused to allow us to sit down. The reason was that there were too few of us, but there were four of us. The three people who came in behind us and two of them were all available. After we were seated, we waited for at least half an hour. When the staff explained to us, their attitude was extremely bad. We couldnt understand Cantonese. He also mixed Cantonese into his words and his tone was extremely disdainful, as if our time was not time. As a service staff, They have such a bad attitude towards customers. I don t know who gave them the confidence. Maybe it s because we are all girls. It seems easier to bully. The few boys who came in behind were given seats as soon as they came. I don t know why they want to be home. People use my experience as a warning to choose restaurants carefully to avoid making mistakes.
My suggestion is that it is best to eat here with six people. Otherwise, if you make a reservation and come to the store, you will still have to wait because there are not many of you and you can t sit at a big table. Haha, it s quite speechless. The attitude of the store is not good. We made a reservation and arrived early. The result is later. The two waves of people who came in were immediately seated, but we were really impressed by how we were kept waiting.
The service is great. You can call in advance to reserve a table. The chicken hotpot is delicious! The medicinal flavor is very strong, and the stir-fry is very hot! Recommended recommended recommended
Opened until 3am on New Year s! It was so comforting to eat here after ringing in the new year.
If you don t tip enough, you will be scolded by the waiter, and you will be scolded when you eat. Shocking remarks such as asking if you have just come to Canada, and whether you want to insult people if you give too little, yes, these are all spoken by the respected waiters of the restaurant. As you said, Chinese restaurants are so cheesy, right? I m scared to death. Because I don t like sadism, I will never enter again.
Food quality went down so much after students go there more often. The owner has started making banks from selling these over-priced chicken soups. I have his WeChat so I know
The chicken pot is pretty good
Apparently I don t know the right things to order. When other people ordered I ate real good
The food is delicious, but you can obviously feel like yawning after eating it. The food is served quickly, the waiters service attitude is average, and the tableware jingles. Usually you need to wait for a table or make a reservation
It was too busy the first night we passed by this place. So glad we went back the following day. The chicken hotpot was so tasty and satisfying. Service was quick and attentive.
Great food with great price!
Love the service! We came in after 1 am and it was packed. I ordered take out. We were standing in the store while we waiting for food since it was rainy. The owner and his son had a conversation with me and was very polite. The owner treats his employees well too. Food tasted great! Love the Singapore noodles. I would like to come back to dine in! They are open 4 pm to 4 am. Great place for those night owls !
Nice service
Food was exceptionally good and food is great too.
Been coming to this place for almost a decade. Their Chicken Hotpot is a great comfort food. Hearty, light and nutritious. The owner is a fantastic guy with great passion for his restaurant and customers.
Of all the restaurants in Toronto, this is the best chicken pot! The boss is very nice. The service is also good! Give full marks
the chicken pot is amazing! Great taste and friendly server
worst service ive ever seen in my life, unbelievable
Their scallop fried rice is really really good. The others were mediocre. The serving size is much smaller compared to their price and other restaurants.
I really love this chicken pot, and you must add bamboo fungus ~ The claypot rice, tamagoyaki tofu, and bean sprouts are all good too
A good place for late night snacks in DT. Every time I come here, I must order the black-bone chicken pot, stir-fried free-range chicken, and black pepper beef tenderloin.
Best chicken Ive had in a while.
My favorite place forever Hello boss and Shaodong s family. I ll remember you if I go there often. I ll say hello to you next time. Anyone who has never tried herbal chicken pot will be sad, okay?
The medicated chicken is a must-try!
The soup is so delicious
There is a store clerk who looks like Michelin tires and has a very bad attitude
Chicken soup pot is highly recommended here. Nice service. Open until 2 am, good choice for late night snack
Worst service I ve ever experienced, denied service to disabled service dog, ask us to leave, THATS DISCRIMINATION!
I even suspected that I ordered something bad, but when I ate it, the chicken pot was really average, and the added vegetables were not very smooth. The beef was chewy in some places, and the mushrooms tasted like dried mushrooms that had not been soaked. The bamboo fungus is sticky and has black spots (which can be washed off in the pot). The yuba is probably home-fried, although it is not unpleasant but not unpleasant. The quality of the cabbage and chicken is pretty good. Service attitude is still good
10 out of 10 best chicken soup. I always get the mixed chicken soup and it warms me up from the inside.
This is our go-to in chinatown. Great food and open late. Favourite is the hotpot and beef on a hotplate with chefs sauce.
Love you guys, but confused about the hours of operations, love my seafood from this place, especially the lobster and crab and live shrimp( a must have)!
It s very unhygienic, I have to go to the toilet after eating . Very not recommended. Parking: Not easy to stop.
Amazing products and amazing price as well
We had a late night dinner. Really enjoyed the food. Thank you
Great place
Great simple but perfectly executed food. Long line ups so make a reservation before you go. Highly recommend the clay pots and the chicken hot pot.
It s good
Quite the racist restaurant. Allowed a group of asians just in front of us. There were a few free tables and they didn t allow us to sit. Said the waiting is 45 minutes to an hour which was strange.
Typical Chinese restaurant. A bit crowded but the food is good. Chicken hotpot has special herb flavor. Tofu is pretty good
The chicken pot was to die for!
I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. Quite the racist place. The management just ignored us and was more focused on the Asian group that entered right after us. When asked for a table, the manager paused to think and said it was all full even though there were a few empty tables. Looks like they prefer catering to a specific clientele.
The dishes recommended by the clerk were not clearly marked with prices. I recommended the more expensive ones. I asked them what the difference was between the choices. They did not tell them the price difference. They only said the difference between fish with bones and fish without bones. In fact, one kind costs 60 knives and the other kind costs 30 knives. The environment in the store is noisy and the air conditioning fan is turned on extremely cold. Very expensive but the taste is really average
One of the must-try restaurants in Downtown! The chicken pot is so fragrant!
terrible service
Its so good. It tastes terrible. Its refreshing.
The owner seems very rude, he was greeting others but not us and he gave us the face which I don t know why. The price is expensive but the dishes are dull, not tasty at all we were expecting a spicy fried beef but it turns out sweet do not recommend. Everything for me is so plain that they don t put any salt in it and my friend said the meat was dry. Maybe they are not good at wok cooking.
Everything I ordered was delicious. Tamago tofu exceeded expectations The chicken pot is just average. I won t order it next time I go there. I ll just order stir-fried vegetables.
Food was delicious, 3 dishes came out for us, piping hot LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES AFTER ORDERING. The service was the best part. Our server was the best waiter Ive ever encountered. Maybe he was the owner or something; but honestly he was smiling and giving honest recommendations, quickly serving us, clearing plates, bringing water and extra napkins based on the dishes we ordered... Very happy I chose this place over the rest.
We ate here and was so surprised on their calculations on the tip???! Like what?!!! 15% was 20+ dollars??? Like they beat my hourly wage It was my 1st time to see such thing! I ve been to other restaurants that way more expensive and I never seen any such in their payment machine. And another was so surprised that they asked especially for the tip! I will tip them but to be asked instead of waiting their customer to do it and leave. Something is very wrong with their calculations. Well, I don t recommend it at all. Waste of money.
Great authentic chinese restaurant during late hours. Food always taste good.
The portion is really small and the taste is average. The average person who eats is almost 50 and still not full.
I didn t know this was a Cantonese restaurant. The Hunan beef is not spicy at all, and the mapo tofu is not spicy at all. I ll try the hot pot next time I get the chance.
My expectations were a bit high, but it s actually a cafeteria for students from multiple universities.
Herbal Chicken + Tamago Tofu
Great service! The owner and the staffs are absolutely amazing! The food is also super delicious
The chicken hotpot broth is nice but personally I don t like how little meat there is, u need to carefully bite ur way around the bones
Remember to make a reservation! Great place, order chicken hot pot is the way to go. I can not stop myself from drinking the soup from the hotpot
Environment: The restaurant is not too big and there are many tables. Each table is very close to each other. Basically everyone will order a pot. The most outrageous thing is that there is only one hanging air conditioner in the entire restaurant. The whole place was so hot that I was sweating all the time Service: outrageous and super rude. There was a female servant. Our table ran out of gas bottles. I raised my hand to ask them for it. As a result, the waitress yelled at me: I saw you, please stop calling me. How do I know she saw me? ? In the end we even asked another waiter to change it for us. For this service, she still had the nerve to ask me for a tip. The woman didn t even apologize. We are here to eat, not to pay and be scolded. Food: OK, not amazing. Summary: It is recommended that you really want to eat some takeaway The attitude of Juxianlou is much better than this one. The same style as Jackson Wang cannot save the poor service.
Has always been consistent with the food and customer service
tasty
From late nights after the bar to family dinners, Sangs has been a staple.
Food took too long and waited too long to be served.
Delicious restaurant-famous for their chicken hot pot!
nice
I will give zero star if there is one. terrible service,
The chicken hotpot is good during winter!
The food was nice and the service was fast. I will definitely come back!
Bad food + bad service, so many other good options in Chinatown, don t EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! I also saw 2 employees not wearing gloves when touching the food, already reported to health authorities.
Food is ok good, but the service is soooo bad. Yesterday I was there with my friends, the waitress was extremely rude to us, no patience and behaved super rude. Never come back again, bye! There r so many good choices in Toronto, we come here for the food and pay for it, not to be angry.
The server says can t you read? It s on the menu and rolled her eyes when I asked her which one is popular. Will not come again.
The boss is really a good man
Been eating here for 7 years, quality never change
These guys are so amazing. Such a nice and helpful staff. They are loyal to their returning customers. Helped me out one time when I was in a bind. The food is great. Love these guys so much! Definitely recommend!
The waiter is very friendly and the food is as delicious as ever!
chicken pit many bones, soup ok, fried beef noodles not enough taste, fried squid is good recommend!! tofu is good dry fried noodles is too wet, fried calms not fresh, taste of black pepper sauce is very weird, cannot sit long time Food
Chicken pot is delicious
Do not walk in. Always remember to make a reservation!
This is one of my favorite restaurants at Chinatown!! I highly recommend chicken hot pot as the quality of the broth are amazing. I brought my parents to enjoy when they were in town. The owner was very nice to us and even offer us four free drinks. Can t wait to visit next time
Good place for late night snack
The boss is too good to say anything
Really good restaurant and the chicken pot is excellent. But if it is in peak time, it is a good idea to reserve a table in advance.
Nice chicken soup hotpot!!!
Its good for downtown Chinese food.
Stopped here late night because Rol San was closed. Paid $45 for two takeout dishes (fried chicken and beef ) and woke up with a strange rash. Small portions and poor quality meat. I may have ordered incorrectly but these were dishes displayed prominently on the wall. I asked for a seafood dish but they were unwilling to make it because it requires deep frying. Someone else who ate the food said they had stomach complaints. Best avoid this place.
The side dishes of the chicken soup are a bit expensive. I recommend ordering two chickens. It s very cost-effective.
great service, tasty food
Purely for foodies who craving for chicken pot. Below standard if you looking for good hospitality/ clean environment, cuz they dont have. However we like to come once in a while to enjoy some Cantonese vibe.
Absolutely amazing food! The best I have ever had! It s has the same flavour where I got in China. Highly recommend! They definitely deserved the 5 even 6 stars!
Friendly feeling, the chicken pot is great
The takeaway is very good~
Brought by a friend who came to Toronto to watch football. There are quite a lot of people in the store, so if you don t make a reservation for dinner, you might not be able to get a seat. The service attitude of the store is not very good, at least it is much worse than that of local Canadians. The food is nothing amazing, just average. I don t know why it s so popular. Maybe there aren t many choices of Chinese food here? The signature chicken claypot has a strong herbal flavor but not much chicken flavor. The black pepper beef tenderloin is said to be the signature, but it is very oily and salty. The sausage claypot rice is quite fragrant and is suitable for two people.
Unbelievable taste & flavour. Open late and delicious
Another Chinatown stalwart. Leftovers for days.
