Delicious breakfasts! Very hearty and good quantity. I was a bit disappointed by the cappuccino but Im very picky so thats kind of expected. Otherwise would come back!

Im happy to have found La Gloria, its a great cozy place to go for coffee, or grab something to eat (Mexican breakfast/lunch). Service is fast and friendly. Food is excellent! Loved the different coffee options. On our different visits weve had: torta de chilaquiles (chilaquiles sandwich), molletes, chilaquiles with chicken, Mexican mocha, Veracruz cappuccino and conchas (Mexican sweet bread). I totally recommend La Gloria, it is a different Mexican eats experience, I will definitely go back.

This place is a neighbourhood gem. The service is lovely and my husband said the noche maya was the best coffee hes had in his life (despite it being an icy drink and it was 2 degrees outside lol). The service was lovely and brought a little cup of chocolate smoothie without the caffeine for my little son and I to try. I can confirm it was delicious (I dont drink coffee). Planning to go back to see if they have a gift card for my husband for christmas.

Loved the mezcacchino, the place is cozy, staff is friendly and welcoming. It s not a fast food cafe, it tastes like home made food, so the food and drinks are worth the wait.

This is the perfect place to have an amazing coffee + meal. I had their house coffee with mazapán which contains peanut cream if desired + molletes meal. As a Mexican I truly recognize the great quality of food and amazing coffee. Thank you guys !

I was expecting more from this place. The food is average and I wasn t impressed when I saw most of the ingredients coming from cans. Even the salsa. The prices would be justified if the ingredients were freshly made or had more effort put into making them. Definitely a place far to be called authentic . Over priced? ABSOLUTELY The service was very weird. A bit tense since the staff treats people that can t afford food, kinda rude and dismissive. If they have that attitude they should not have the program were they stick the meals paid by consumers on their door. It was very uncomfortable to see that behaviour. I will not be going back to this place. I can t support such behaviour. Having the intention to help people that can t afford to but food or services, doesn t give us the right to miss treat anyone , assume their hunger or make them feel bad about using a program that should have no conditions. Hunger is hunger.

I participated in a paint night at La Gloria hosted by Electric Sunshine, and it was a blast. The atmosphere is very warm, featuring a ton of local art, and there were interesting smoothies to try that I wasnt sure Id like, got they were great. I didnt try the coffee since it was an evening event, but Im excited to be back to try it.

A friend recommended this place and it was absolutely stellar. The service was amazing - they really make everyone feel so special. I was guided through the menu to exactly what I needed - a delicious Mexican Mocha with their dark roast! Can t wait to return soon, try the food, and bring more people with me

Holaa So I want to share that recently dined at this incredible Mexican coffe place, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish The highlight for me was definitely their Hot Mexican chocolate rich, creamy, and full of authentic flavors that transported me right to Mexico. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and a hint of chocolate that made it absolutely delightful The service was equally impressive; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made me feel so welcome even practicing my spanish and teaching me culture differences They went out of their way to explain the menu and share some of the traditions behind the dishes. It s rare to find a place that feels this warm and inviting, with such attention to detail Highly recommend if you re craving a taste of real Mexican comfort

There are very few spots in Toronto that are authentically Mexican, and LA GLORIA is at the top of that list! Their coffee and hot drinks are absolutely delicious ! For non-coffee drinkers, I highly recommend their mint tea - its a specialty and perfect; and their food is flavourful, fresh and has a nice variety - esp their breakfasts. We also have been learning Spanish at their Spanish/English meet ups and they are fun, informative and a great way to meet folks! A really nice Hub and a great addition to the neighbourhood and Toronto life.

They deserve way more than five stars: their chilaquiles are out of this world, their coffee with beans from Oaxaca is mind-blowing and miles ahead of any coffee I had in Toronto, and their Tesoro Olmeca (which is like a frappucino-like beverage with caramel and cinnamon) is my absolute favourite cold drink. They are so friendly and that place looks so charming! I would absolutely recommend going there for any occasion.

This place was absolutely fantastic! I recently visited Mexico City for the first time & have been missing everything about it since I got back, and this place captured everything I loved about my trip in one little restaurant - the quality of the food and coffee was incredible (I had the molletes, a Mexican mocha, & the mangonada vallarta smoothie & all were delicious) & the staff were super friendly. I really cant recommend this place enough & if I lived in Toronto, Id definitely be a regular!

The food and drinks were delicious, but the cashier was incredibly rude. Its a shame! They messed up my order twice. I was charged for the mistake, and as compensation, I received two candies. I was very kind and patient with them, but my time is valuable too. The long-haired cook came out to apologize and was sincere, which I appreciate. However, the cashier acted like it was my fault when I told him they had made a mistake for the second time. He looked at me with hostility. I dont know if he was stressed or what happened, but I overheard the table next to me, who are vegetarian, telling him they had also made a mistake. On my next and final visit, things were no different. The cashier was once again very rude and hostile. The food was just okay, and the green juice was bitter. We wont be returning until the cashier takes a hospitality course and learns about good customer service, or until they hire a cashier who can handle stress and not make customers feel bad when all they want is to enjoy their food and have a good time.

I first stumbled upon this coffee shop during the Cabbagetown Street Festival over the summer. I was in need of a coffee and the Mazzacino on their menu really spoke to me. There was an option between 3 blends of coffee and was recommended to try it with their dark roast. This coffee contains peanut, lucky for me Im not allergic. It was very delicious and I really liked the peanut pieces inside of it. Over the weekend, I went back to try their brunch menu. We ordered the chillaquiles with chicken and the Glory Breakfast. The servers were very friendly and attentive, the food was amazing! The chillaquiles was fully loaded with more than enough toppings. La Gloria is beautiful, a gem in the Cabbagetown neighborhood! Their dishes are excellent and delicious, and next time I will order their yummy looking drinks!

Normally when I travel I like to eat at various spots but I had to make an exception for La Gloria - the food was so fresh, creatively crafted and plentiful. I wish I could always stop by here for breakfast or lunch and coffee!

The food is simply splendid, we came for coffee and ended up eating three different dishes, I don t know which one was better than the other but it made my day and I will be back with all my friends and family.

I LOVE La Gloria!! Their coffees are some of the best in the city, and the service and atmosphere is absolutely lovely. I m not usually a fan of cold coffee, but Alba Tolteca Café truly makes a difference and has quickly become my favorite. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back with friends to enjoy a great afternoon with board games, good food, and, of course, an amazing cup of coffee.

Pleasant little coffee shop, with very good desserts and friendly staff.

Finally found a good mocha. Their mocha mexican chocolate drink is well constructed and chocolatey and the service was fantastic. Very attentive. Everyone in the cafe even got a free smoothie sample. Theres definitely a lot of heart in this cafe and recommend everyone stop by. Id like to see more thought out vegan options that are both filling and satisfying. However, the café was very prepared to customize a menu item for me.

Unbeatable service and quality product: authentic Mexican coffee, very different from the usual North American coffee, and tasty food in huge portions. The taste of the bread they use took us back to Mexico City.

I was just in Baja Mexico this spring and ate a lot of local food and the food here took me right back. It is so authentic. My daughter loved the Mexican Hot chocolate.

A very cozy, fun place with very good Mexican snacks. I ordered some chilaquiles and I really liked them although they are not traditional (they have a different touch). My family ordered molletes and chilaquiles cakes and were very satisfied. They have board games to play while you wait. The service is excellent and the friendliness even more so. Vegetarian options: There are some options for vegetarians but it is not their core. Parking: Better to go by public transport

I recently visited this place with my family and friends and we loved it. Daniel, Saúl and Jackie were welcoming and accommodating since we arrived until we left. My son and my friend s daughter also had a great time playing some boarding games available there. Tasty food and wide variety of beverages, and also delicious treats! Something I also loved about this place was the sign on the entrance. ¡Gracias por consentirnos y hacernos sentir como en casa!

This place is a must try! I had the Noche Maya espresso smoothie which is a blended coffee drink comparable to an iced cappuccino or frappuccino except La Glorias version is 100000 times better! Such a unique and tasty treat made with authentic Mexican chocolate and coffee. Their food is also delicious and their portions are generous.The Mexican sandwich is loaded with toppings and a special seasoning that I cant get enough of. Their food items come with a cup of coffee which is a great deal. To top it of the guys that run this place are wonderful and they host weekly Spanish-English language sessions as well as art workshops. Lots of fun things going on. Definitely go try it out!

Amazing Mexican coffee and lunch place on parliament! Super friendly staff and cosy vibe, plus they run Spanish language exchange sessions from 4:30pm to 6pm on Tuesdays. Its these sorts of unique places that give a community vibe to a neighborhood, love it!
